- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: Out!
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: And we're on, this is only fins Q&A live for February the 10th, 2026.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: This is our post-superbowl, I guess, post-mortem.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to break down the superbowl a little bit here.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to talk about something kind of off the wall.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk about Dion Sanders.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, very interesting interview that he did on radio row, very interesting choice.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: He made on radio row.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk about that.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: But first, if you want to participate in these shows, you want to ask questions live.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: You got to go to our discord and to do that.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: You go to discord.gg forward slash only fins.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: If you come and remember they're all access for $4.99 a month, sign up on a desktop.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: Do not sign up on your phone.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: If you sign up on your phone, Apple will rob you of an extra $1 or $1.50 a month.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: Don't do it.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: Sign up on a desktop and it's just $4.99 a month.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, let's get into it.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: This is what I feared and I understand that a lot of people were like, ah, you know, it's just a ateer.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I am a ateer.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know why also despise the Buffalo Bills?
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know who I think would have been great in the Super Bowl.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I think was a better A of C team.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: The Buffalo Bills.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: So it's Houston if they got to play at home, but they lost their best player and had to go on the road and bad weather.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: So it's Denver if they have their quarterback.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: I guess what I'm saying is that the fourth or fifth best team in the AFC is who made the Super Bowl.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: And why did that happen because a scheduling quirk, now I'll credit do, okay?
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm going to explain to you how they took advantage, all right?
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: Depending on who you listen to,
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: The most generous one I've heard was I don't know if I'll not work, they said it was the worst schedule in the last 25 years.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody that I trust, which is the people doing the game on NBC, said 50 years, worst schedule in 50 years, if you go by EPA is the worst schedule in 30 years, are you getting the picture here?
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: Now they take advantage of that.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: Put up a big win last number.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: How do they do it?
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: Elite quarterback play and they spend a ton of money in free agency.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: This was not a team building exercise to follow.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: This was a team building exercise that you really want to avoid.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: It was actually a pretty poorly thought-out team-built.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's not for the quarterback, like I still like Drake, man.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: I know I know he was terrible in the playoffs and awful and super-boiled, but I think he's going to be a very, very good quarterback for a very long time.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: they get in the playoffs.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, if you have this magic carpet right in the regular season and you get a big win-toe, are you going to get home games, right?
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: So naturally they got home games.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: And they take advantage of a chargers team that gets face it, just in Herbert.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: Come on.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: They had nobody on their offensive line at this point and it's just in Herbert.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's just in Herbert once again.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: Now you guys might be with Daniel William.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be a lot of fun to watch.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: They move on and it's uh... the Houston Texans and the Houston Texans defense damn near beats them by themselves with their quarterback CJ Strahd throwing four interceptions and fumbling another time to but at the same time Drake may fumbles five times in that game like come on uh... that's another thing uh... Drake may did set a record for for most turnovers in a playoff run in this in this season
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: Then you get the AFC championship game and bonus breaks his ankle.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: No, it doesn't break his ankle.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: Then you have a blizzard take over as soon as you have the lead 10-7.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a wrap from then on, right?
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not fair to call them frauds.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it's completely fair to say that they were not the best the AFC could have offered.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: Now, here's the good news, okay?
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: The bills were not gonna beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like that wasn't gonna happen.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: Seahawks were gonna score a lot more points than they did.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: And they were gonna shut down Josh Allen.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think that that was much of an issue.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Seahawks were gonna win regardless.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: They were the best team.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: They beat the best team.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: They beat the second best team in all the football, the early Rams, and they beat them twice in the two biggest games of the season.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: in the playoffs and in the regular season to take the division.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: And the one seed.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're not frauds.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: New England has does have a very, very good defense.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: They play aggressively.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: They get after the quarterback.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: They blitz.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: They have a really good secondary.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: I really like their secondary.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: And they're, they're quarter tandem.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: Christy and his allies in Carton Davis is pretty damn good.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: But that's precisely what you want in this league.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the issue is when you had to pay those guys.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: And they're going to have to pay them.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: They're paying Carton Davis right now, pretty penny.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: When they had to pay Kristen Gonzalez, that's not going to be pretty.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: Kristen Gonzalez is probably going to be the most expensive cornerback in all of football.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: But that's pretty much what you want.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: You want a dominant corner on a rookie deal, and then you want a moderate free agent in Carlton Davis.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: I believe Carlton Davis is making what, 16 million a year, something like that.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, they have a fabulous second there.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: There are differences, very, very good.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of the best differences in football.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: even with the schedule and all that stuff, okay.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: They played really, really well against the Seahawks.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: The only time they really didn't play well was against Miami in week two, by the way.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: And against the bills late in the season when they give up 35 points to Josh Allen.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: Those were the two best quarterback performances, by the way, against the New England Patriots.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: But that offense has not been good for a while, and it was schedule-rated.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: Now, how do you fix that?
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: I've said this before and I said it and I'll keep saying it.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: The NFL is the only American sport that does not have balanced scheduling.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: The only one.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: MLS, they have balanced scheduling, the NBA, balanced scheduling, NHL, balanced scheduling, MLB, balanced scheduling.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody has balance scale scheduling except the NFL now.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: How do you achieve balance scheduling the NFL?
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Well, first of all, you have all these international games.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: So To achieve balance scheduling, you're going to need a little help.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: Meaning you're going to have to add a game So you're going to probably have to go to 18 games and then it's very very simple You just make sure because look you can't have balance scheduling through what the entire AFC and Have international games like it's not possible
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: and play games against the NFC because you can't have balanced scheduling if you don't play the NFC.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like that can be achieved throughout the NFC, but what you can do is have balanced scheduling within the divisions, meaning everybody in the NFC East, the Buffalo Bills, the Miami Dolphins, the New England Patriots, the New York Jets, all four teams would play identical schedules, identical schedules.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: Not, yeah, no, you might play one team later on in the season, the other team plays them early in the season.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, what do you want?
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: You can't play them all at the same time, Jan Barista, like you can't do that, right?
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: But, you can guarantee identical schedules within the division.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's completely fair.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's what they have to do because this is going to continue to happen.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: especially in these cycles that we are in in the NFL where you go from bad to good within really one off season because you get cap space and then you just spend and you add a lot of talent teams you know everybody's all you know it's it's the parody you can go from worst the first every year now it's it's not that you can go worst the first is that the conditions allow you to go worse the first
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, yes, I think that they have to have balanced schedule.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they do it, no, it's not going to happen.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: At least not this year.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe when they get the 18th game, maybe they'll bring it up.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: But I just don't believe, like every year, every year we have the owners meetings and I always look up what they're talking about.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like the one important thing I think that they can get done is the receding.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's a good idea.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's no reason whatsoever why a 12-win or a 13-win L.A. Ram's team has to go on the road to an 8-and-9 Carolina Panthers team.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: Come on, like how is that fair?
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it doesn't mean that you in your division, you're not going to make the playoffs.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: No, you win your division, you do get your prize, you make the playoffs, you win your division, you make the playoffs, period.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: But once the
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: and I think that that's what they should do.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's what they should go to.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's already gone up for vote once and they tabled it.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: What usually means that it goes up for vote the following year.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I do expect it to go up for vote this year to I expect it to pass.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's something that will happen and it'll be an improvement.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think it'll be an improvement.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's been the the the evolution by the way.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Remember when we had six playoff teams?
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: Jerry Jones proposed the seventh playoff team.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: They tabled it the following year.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: They passed it.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: So it looks like we're doing this again.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that they'll they'll receive the they'll pass the receding this season.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: Balance scheduling I don't see it anywhere near on the horizon.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't see it.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: When we get the 18th game, maybe then.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: All right, finishing up here, something that I thought was completely bizarre.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I liked Shidder Sanders when news coming out.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: I liked his tape.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: No, he had obvious flaws.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: His feet are bad.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: He does not react to pressure all that well.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: He has this thing that two had developed had, the two had, and then,
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, came back like a bad penny, which is that fade to throw thing.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: So Shutter Sanders has mechanical issues, but when he's right, it's pretty decent quarterback.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Well, as father turns out, it's probably the problem.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: Because he went out there and he decided, you know what I'm going to do on radio road?
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go on Kevin Clarksha, and I'm going to brow beat him over what happened to my son this year, and he kept mentioning what happened to my son this year and his beef with the NFL, like shut the fuck up dude, please.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: You're doing more damage and I think that this is what a lot of people envisioned would be a problem which is you're going to have one of the best players of all time The unsanders questioning every single thing you do with this son if you do draft them and I think that's why a lot of teams stayed away Now I'll tell you for a fact the Miami Dolphins did call on day two to inquire about
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: Shitter Sanders and we know for a fact that Ravens wanted to take Shitter Sanders in the second round and you know what happened?
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: His team was telling a lot of teams that had quarterbacks.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: Dolphins included.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: I would guess That they were not interested
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: So they were actually telling teams not to draft them.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: So don't bitch and complain when you go in the fifth round.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: When you act like complete clowns on draft day.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we're gonna go to break when we come back.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: We'll take your questions on the other side of the break.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: But first, let me tell you about factor, cold days.

- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody got fired.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: We went 7 and 10.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: The dude in the Patriots reached the Super Bowl.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: The bills.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: Fire, Sean McDerman.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's actually a good move.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: Now, is it going to work?
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: We shall see.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: I like Joe Brady a lot, but we shall see.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Important offseason here for the dolphins.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: I have to get this thing right.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: I do, I do believe that.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: John Erick Sullivan is a really, really good hire.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think we are in good hands.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: If you look back,
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: I can't stress enough.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: How many mistakes and what damage Chris Greer did to this franchise?
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: It was extensive.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's, let's get into some of your questions here.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: All right, first question and he starts right away with
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: silly question do you think with the emphasis on toughness we should update the team logo to something more menacing how about the throwback logo how about the throwback uniforms I don't like our uniforms I really don't the logo not for me
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: Can't me among those that like my dolphins wearing a helmet.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: I love the helmet with the M on it.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: I just do.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's cool.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, if you go to our store and I suggest you do, go to our store, I always put a link to our store.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: We still hats with that M on it, and I love that hat.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: I wear it all the time.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't like the logo.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like our uniforms.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you want to look tougher.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: Just go back to the throwbacks.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: Simple as that.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: In the story, you know, you can you can always add an alternate, you know, you can always make aqua pants for the throwbacks and wear the throwbacks or just make a you know what I was thought was a pretty good idea if they were going to reimagine the uniforms just go to the 1980s design with the aqua face mask and the altered logo
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: which is essentially kind of like the throwback logo, but it's positioned differently and it has different coloring.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: You could modernize it a little bit, but I like that uniform with the stripes on the sleeves.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think it looks great.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: If you're wondering what I'm talking about, just look at any photo from the 1984 Super Bowl with Dhammarino against the 49ers.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: Look at those uniforms.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm talking about.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: I love that uniform.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think it just looks great.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's a great looking uniform.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: I however do not like the uniform that Jimmy Johnson brought upon us with the with the little cart with the cartoon dolphin.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like that.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think it looks good.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that's that's what I would do as far as when they can do anything about it.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: I believe it's a year from now.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: A year from now is the five-year anniversary of the latest update so then they can change it again.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, let me see, uh, the 15 a.m. Q&A.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like this is the, the red siren alert.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: No, not really.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: What is the more, the one movie field J, yes, generic Sullivan has to make this off season either free agency or draft.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: Do you feel H and gets an extension before the start of the season?
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, on that one.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: The other moves look man.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have a lot of ammunition as far as money under the the cap under the salary cap But if you're gonna make one move look I do like Malik with us.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: I like them a lot I think it's a great swing.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is what you do when you're in this position All right Take as many swings At the plate as you can
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I understand, you know, if you go on Twitter, it's just my god, like, well, what would you go on Twitter?
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: Well, first of all, you're here, right?
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: You're here on the Discord, which tells you all you need to know, you've been on Twitter and you've seen the absolute morons that are on there.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're presenting them, like one of my favorite movies is a big short and when he tries to explain, I think it's a, it's a name of this, the guy who plays Jared is Ryan Gosling.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Ryan Gosling tries to explain his trade, the trade that these trying to propose, which is the short of the housing market, or really MBS products, you know, mortgage back securities, MBS.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: I know I'm speaking a little weird here, financial speak, but
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: So he tries to explain, you know, his scheme of how he's plans to short MBS products, and he says, I'm offering you fire insurance in front of a burning house, will you take it?
- 18:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's what milk will this is.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: If he doesn't work out, fine.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: Go in the draft.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: And if he doesn't work out, it's going to help you because if he doesn't work out, it means that you're going to be bad.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're going to be bad, you're going to have good drop position.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now, here's the good news.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: 2027, absolutely loaded.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: There's going to be like six, seven quarterbacks, worthy of first run of a first run draft pay.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: Including one that's going to be local.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Dary Mince is going to be fucking awesome here with the Miami hurricanes.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think he could win the high school.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to be loaded.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: That offense is going to be absolutely disgusting.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: So, Diary Mints is going to put up monster numbers, which means he's going to get himself into the first round.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I've always liked him before.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: And what I like about Diary Mints is like, his comparable is, to a tongue-a-vile law, and all the good things about to a tongue-a-vile law.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: His accuracy is anticipation.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_00]: Now, here's the better news.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: Diary Mints has a big arm.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_00]: Not a great arm.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't have like a chute.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: but he has a good arm, better arm than Tua, even better news.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's 6, 3, 215 pounds.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so he's not going to have those issues that smaller quarterbacks have.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: So this is going to be a low to draft class.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: So you can have Malik Willis, and you can take two bites at the Apple.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't work out, getting the draft class and just story.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: Simple as that.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, like I said, you offer fire insurance in front of a burning house to dolphin fans, they'll say, nah, I'll burn to death.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, next question, are there any suppliers that might move on that that might move on that would surprise like that's mainly on defense pairs that might not suit the halffully scheme.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's about suiting halfly scheme.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably about money.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: Look Bradley Chub is probably worth keeping around at a decent number.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: And when I say a decent number, I'm talking about like a Matthew Jude on number one year eight million something like that.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: Mostly guaranteed.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that that's even gonna happen.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think I think he's he's gonna he's gonna shop his wears to a contender and get a little bit more money.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think as far as any surprises I don't think so because I think we've talked about everything one of these guys that might not be here next year I think one that you know, I don't think that they're like stand for big money and that's a kid or couple
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: uh... i think that they'll want to go in a different direction uh... next question if the milk will send does not happen do you think half we will roll with tour i think it's a next distinct possibility i will tell you this some in the beat are talking about it you know just uh... attach a second romp it to to it first of all what the fuck are you talking about second about they will not do that and this is not uh... i'm not speculating this is a spoiler
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: So, will they get absolutely bound on a trade?
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know, if you're taking a six-round pick for a quarterback of the quality of two a tonk of all, you're obviously not getting fair market value, now the problem is, it's contract, right?
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: So, how much does your trade partner take of that contract?
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: I suspect, man, if they take 20% of the contract, so we're talking about.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: Roughly $12 million.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: 12 to 15 million dollars.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: Man, that's a good deal.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll see it as a good deal.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think it is a good deal.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: Go and forward.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: It also means that you're going to have to pay over 40 million of it.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: So you're going to have to pay $2 a ton of a little $40 million to play for somebody else.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: But hey, beggars can't be choosers, right?
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: Next question, do you worry that we still don't have a quarterback or Titans coach locked in?
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a weird thing, right?
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's odd, like you need them.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: You need a quarterback's coach, you need a Titans coach.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it's odd.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm wondering where they're going to go and look for one.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's harder that is that even a word, it's more odd that they don't have like who is the pro personal guy, who is the director of college scouting like I'm not sure.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: who's working under John Eric Sullivan now here's a good news it's February the 10th right so there's a little bit of time here the combine is at the end of the month so you know we got time here we got time we got time to get these guys into place but you kind of want them into place right uh... next question
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: how can we look at what the c-hux have done particularly with the defense and take inspiration for our rebuild you can okay what the c-hux did here's the thing i said i said it on the on the podcast you look at how the c-hux were built and it's kind of discouraging because they essentially just hit on everything and pretty much every drag the hit on a ton of draft picks and the hit on free agency in fact i i went i went transaction for transaction
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I only found one dumb move.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like, look, you go, I would say, and I, you know, this is not a good move and that is not a good move, but that happens everywhere.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like, not every move can be perfect.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: I only found one dumbass transaction.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: They decided, Jordan Brooks, nah, we don't want them.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: They took the money they could have given Jordan Brooks and given it to Joe Baker.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: We took Jordan Brooks, they took Joe Baker.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_00]: It was essentially a trade because both players got identical contracts.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, your own baker is on the way out and Jordan Brooks is an all-pro.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: So we won that one.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty much the only dumb move the Seahawks made in the last four years.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: But they built that team.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: Did they say, you know what?
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: Gino Smith, not good enough.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go get the quarterback.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: They identified Sam Donald.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of easy to identify, by the way, that guy won 14 games out of monster year with the Vikings.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: The Vikings are the ones.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: You also need to, you also need somebody to do something really, really, really stupid, right?
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what the Vikings did.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: See how it took advantage?
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: Voila.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: And a story.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: You can't take any inspiration whatsoever from that bill because that's, that's, it's too good.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's too good a job.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: The John Schneider did.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: But you can take some inspiration from what the Patriots did, back to back four and 13 seasons, and generally shitty drafts for the last four years.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: You sprinkle in a couple of good players here there.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: You find the quarterback and boom, there you are.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: You catch a magic cup of right right through the playoffs and you're insuperable.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: Now you take some inspiration from that, but from the Seahawks, man, difficult.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: Realistically, can Miami move on from Vets like AJ, Minka, Daniel Sanders, Dodds, etc.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: On top of Tua, Tyreken, Chub, and all of the penny free agents is all in one offseason and expect to replace that mini-satch with decent level play or rookies new.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: You can't.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: But can you move on from all of them?
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, would you want to move on from all of them?
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: No, for example, Austin Jackson's not owed any guaranteed money.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: So I think he's a cut candidate.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: But if you can't find his replacement and you don't have his replacement waiting, essentially that, you know, you drafted his replacement.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: I say you take Francis money, money off.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_00]: I was fuck up his name.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: Manu, manu, or I think I fucked that up again.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, if you take him, or you take Spencer Fano,
- 26:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, you have the the guy waiting in the wings.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you could cut Austin Jackson with with little issues.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: Mika is about, you know, clearing some some space on the books.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: I will keep him around.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: James Daniels, like, you know, what's to use?
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: Jason Sanders, like, look, we already had this special team to go say that place kicker and return our premium positions now because of the kickoff rules.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: You just went in entire season with Riley Patterson and you saw that the guy can't kick off.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and you did, he did kind of lose two games on returns because a poor kick-offs.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: All right, one against the Patriots, one against the Chargers.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: I want Jason Sanders to run.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, why the hell do I want to save two or three million dollars?
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: We give this shit about two or three million dollars.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: Keep him around.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_00]: Tyrell Dodson, he can go.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_00]: Tyre can shove those are essentials.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they probably have to go.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to pay Chuck what he's owed.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: Would you bring him back on, like I said,
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: sure like that's something I would do alright we're went in down here have you scored any of the twenty twenty six cubies against your personal scale of so how did they score I have not I am doing that this week for an omen doza I can almost guarantee you because of this last season hit so many data points that he will get into the sevens
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: which is a very, very, very good score.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, if you're wondering, Turtankovalo had a 7.25.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: What damaged Turtankovalo was his injury history.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not a non-ideal height.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: But Fernando Mendoza is going to score very, very high on all the measurables.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: The height.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: His pedigree coming out of high school is not going to be all that great.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: But he did come from Florida, but it's final season in college football going undefeated, winning the highsmen, having a monster year, winning the national championship.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: All of those things are going to contribute to that score, so he's going to score very well.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: Will there be any other quarterback that will score in the sixes?
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: I doubt it.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: I doubt it.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think Carson Beck helped himself a ton, but he helped himself a ton with all the winning that he didn't college, so he's His college production is was gonna be carrying him To a good score, but it's just a draughtable score.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's gonna be in the fives I think they're gonna be known no sixes in this draft class and if there are no sixes That means that there are no no quarterbacks worth drafting in day one or day two
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: Just one, you know, for an element dose of who I think will score in the seventh, which is a first one great.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: Next question, I will do that by the way this week.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: What three positions would you address in free agency?
- 29:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't mean big money guys thinking for eight mill range.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously corner back.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously corner back.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's that's something you got to look at.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_00]: You got to sell that position.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't bring back our soul Douglas, I don't think it's a bad idea.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_00]: And then you draft the guy and you play that rookie, you got to hit on this draft man.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't hit on this draft, you know, what are we doing here?
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: Another position is guard, you don't have to spend too much money to find an adequate guard.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: I really do like Sean Ryan from the Packers and he's a guy I would look at for sure.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: And third position, good question.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: Well, naturally, you've got to be smart about finding an edge guy.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: Look, heavy on chase on for the Patriots had a good season.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: He was on this in the scrap heap.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you could find something like that, right, to help you out on the edge.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's something that they're going to be looking at.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's kind of important that they do find something like that.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: All right, that's it.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: There is no more.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: I will be with you later on this week.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're going to have the debut this season of the off season show with me myself and Marick Brave As far as through IPC, we return next week with our season finale.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: There will be a draft show toward the end of the week between Simon Clancy and Kyle Crabbs.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's a lot of fun.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: The low red zone.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's been a very, very well received show again.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: You want to participate in most of these shows.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_00]: You want to watch them live.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to go to our Discord.

- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: There is no more.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: We will talk to you again later on this week.
