- 0:00[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome live to the big play Cleveland shows as Jack Rork alongside Chef say and Phil Taylor join us right off the top of the show.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_03]: That's how you know it is a Cleveland Browns game week.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_03]: Guys go head on over to the post tab on our YouTube page and vote for the question of the day.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_03]: How long is to Sean Watson's leash?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to talk about that in one second, but first guys, how is your weekend?
- 0:24[SPEAKER_03]: Well, L.D.W.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_03]: Long weekend.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, look, look tired.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, do a lot of housework and things like that.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: You look handy, man.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a little handy, man.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: Work.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that bag a little served.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be all right, though.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_03]: Good for you, Zed.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_02]: Not a time going on, you know, is what it is, that life is everyday life.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_03]: So we talked about it a little bit yesterday.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_03]: Why don't you get your guys quick thoughts because we just talked about college football.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_03]: How crazy is that Michigan game?
- 0:49[SPEAKER_03]: Zed, I saw you made a video on it.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, as a big college football fan, what were you thinking when that went down?
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you need this as another shot one time, you know, sometimes, you know, it sucks, you know, being on the end, you're like, Oh, we thought we had them and then with it, what they said one second a second.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one second.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, underwood, man.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: He just he threw that thing out there and another receiver, he wanted it more.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: So he came down with it, you know, at the end of the day, they said, we got one more play.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: You got one more play.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: It was, I think it was a great, you know, toss and catch.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: That's not something we ain't talking about the play, you know, a great catch great throw what what you think about the scenario that's something that happens to us the Browns I woke up from now I was like this is the Cleveland Western Browns like what they they hosted Like only something like that happens to us where you got to go back and and redo something or re-replay bottle gate or re-ad a second on just to lose like
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: You think there was where they right and what did they get it right with the one second or should the game have been over 12 7 Honestly, that one second.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy because I don't know because what they said at the time expired or something on a previous play
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: So they said there was there was apparently three or four came out of the back of the end zone.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_03]: He hit the ball so that like a deem the clock dead at one second.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: So the guy stepped out of bounds.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: But they had three different clocks or four different clocks that were synced.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_02]: But the ones that we saw clearly were doesn't show the point.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: What you see on the TV copy in the game, regular thing doesn't matter.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's always the one referee that a couple of referees have the actual clocks on their person.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: So I guess the thing that they said was it ended at 8.37 seconds.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: So there was 0.7 something left which meant that they put the one second on.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: And the guy stepped out of bounds and they were deeming it.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: Once he stepped out of bounds, the second that he touched it, the play was automatically dead.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: But.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, how many times have you seen him in a clock at a second back when a play was already dead?
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: Is I think what the big problem?
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: Technically, it wasn't bad because when he touched like you said, when you touched the ball, the play was named dead then with 0.7.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think the clock's gonna go 0.7 like an NBA, so they just put one.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_03]: So, let me ask you guys the craziest part, though, in my opinion, if the, if the Phil's Taylor-Lied Baylor Bears in college for about 27, happened to pull out a squeaker against North Texas or someone of the like, what would you do if those students ran on to the field after that one?
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: Because I think it's wild to Michigan to storm the field after beating Western Michigan.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's just how they did it, that's why.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: It was like a walk off home, right?
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just how they how they did it, you know what I mean?
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: And if somebody beat Baylor in the rest of the field, so be it, you know what I mean?
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: It is what it is, that's for them.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_03]: Is it, say if you ever actually played a user game and you happen to be the lesser opponent, would you like your team rush the field?
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: No, that's not what winners do, right?
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: No, like, that's not a win.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a browser version of the field.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, our fans tend to stand up.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: I was to feel the, or they were us to feel the bailer.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: When I was there, when we got our first bober in the long ass time.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: See, I just look at it like this, like Michigan claims themselves to be one of those powerhouse teams.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to like, are you looking over, you seeing Alabama or you seeing the LSU or you seeing the Ohio State?
- 4:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's beneath what they're supposed to be, you know, it's the, it's the fans.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: It was the fans to decide that a bunch of drunk kids jumping.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we went on a freaking walk all basically, you know, hell, Mary?
- 4:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I'm running out there.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, once I see everybody else doing it, I'm I'm a little bit scared of you guys, you're going to join nothing goes better than beer and football guys, a lot of people in Cleveland, probably going to need a couple of me.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I might need a couple of beers to get through some Cleveland rounds.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_03]: So, Paul, this weekend, let's talk about it.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_03]: As you said earlier, the big question today.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_03]: on the YouTube pages, how long is to Sean Watson's leash as a Browns quarterback?
- 5:06[SPEAKER_03]: So Phil, one to ask you first, and say, obviously, get your thoughts after how long is to Sean Watson's leash or is there even a leash?
- 5:13[SPEAKER_03]: Should he be playing without a leash right now?
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I feel like.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, like the the ball is in his court to lose, you know what I mean, and they're going to let them, I don't think he has a short leash, they're going to let them go out there and do what he can do.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then if he finds himself in some, you know, it's trouble or whatever, then they're going to see what's fit.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: They're about to take off.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just like, I'm so distracted right now.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_02]: This playing is freaking massive and it's just like, but I think the least is 17 games like.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: Like you said, it's his job to lose.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that if the Sean is winning games, I think it'll, okay, let me take it back.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: Because in my,
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're in a Brian Hoyer situation.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think if the Sean comes out when some games and then peels off three or four games in a row or three losses in a row or three or four in a row out of that stretch, I think you'll be putting a situation where you're looking at it.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just play the hypothetical.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: He starts out hot four and one five and two, but then the next three games he goes five and five.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: you are in the hunt still.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: You still can compete.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: This would be a great opportunity to get tape more tape on Shador.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_02]: Can he rise to the occasion when you're still in the hunt and peel out some games?
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I think the leases as long as the shine wants it to be.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think when you narrow it down a little bit more, I think that
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: it's probably in that week when it's about week week 11.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_02]: So 11ish games are so.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_02]: So that would be my guess for how long the leashes.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_03]: yesterday and for Dixon set in this chair and he said that the Sean's only got two games for him to start off.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_03]: He's giving the he's giving to Sean a two game prove it free trial if you will for QB1 and if things aren't going well if he said he would make the switch to Shidorah Sanders week three is two games too short of a sample size to see what the Sean Watson can do as the Brown's starter this year.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they're giving them the ring to, you know, sorry, well, my friends to fucking up on his own.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: And it's one of those things with, like, hey, you got it.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: We're giving you the keys, this is up to you.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: You know, be the bring the car back good, or, you know, when your parents give you the keys.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think it is all up to him, you know, and, you know, I'm pushing for him, you know, he's been through a lot, you know, injuries and off-to-field issues and I'm hoping, you know, he puts enough film on tape this year to whereas, you know, and other 31 other teams are looking, you know what I mean?
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: Because I feel like, you know, this might be probably his last year, and Cleveland, depending on, you know, the circumstances, but, yeah, and I think should do it, I mean, I mean, I
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: depending on how, like I said, the Shawn does, should door be, he's okay being behind the Shawn.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: And if he messes up, if she doors in there after, you know, the third game, you know, like half or said, then then so be it.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_03]: Zay, is it fair for Hanford to give to Shawna two game free trial for him?
- 8:26[SPEAKER_03]: Is it fair for Hanford the way he posed like that?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_03]: Sure, Hanford get think whatever he wants.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'm not serious all the other wise, but I sit here.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think that it's more so.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: It would be a waste, honestly, if you gave him a two game leash.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm saying that from the aspect, you went this entire offseason, telling us there was this quarterback battle.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: When it really wasn't a quarterback battle, and then we've already seen the storypan out the first time.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: You did it with Joe Flacco.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_02]: You gave him three, what was it?
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: Three games before you traded him off the Cincinnati, like you wasted an entire offseason with Kenny Pickett, fumbling reps with Dylan Gabriel and Joe Flacco, just for the season to come out,
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: why would you even want to demo that the first half of the or the first two games the first quarter of the season by benching them after two after two games.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: So like I understand it a hundred percent.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: I think it is obviously a possibility he stinks it up.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: You lose because of the shine.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's going you're going to be hard press the roll them out there week three.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: I would say at least
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: at least four five four five because I'm looking at the schedule if he's not at least you know by the fifth week three and two at the bare minimum okay then we got a problem so you think two and three won't cut it.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think two and three is all a need for real.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_03]: Let's say felt.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think they can be Jaguar's Panthers Jets and that's three of the the first five games.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's sure.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: The other two are bucking the airs and stillers, which are not bad, but at the same time let's say they do lose those games.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's three and two at the bare minimum.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: If you're not three and two, then we gotta get up out of here.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_03]: So let's say the garage quarter in three, so that benefit right in the quarter mark.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_03]: Let's say the Browns are two and three putting up 20 points per game.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: Do you guys make the story or do you keep going with the Sean, yeah, but how are you losing these games?
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, how did you lose the story?
- 10:24[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's what I'm saying 20 points you average out to being about like maybe the defense is taking a slight step back from what they were last year in the offense is a little bit better, but you're still averaging out to being a little bit under 500.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I mean, like, did you lose this game because of a game winning field goal?
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: Did you lose this game on a play where you got to stop and the past interference call happened?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: Did you lose the game because it's gone through 400 sessions?
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I think how you lose these games matter because of the Sean Watson is coming out and playing.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_02]: average football and that's let's just say that's just average of pick a game a pick a game But he's giving you two touchdowns and he's not throwing the game and you're not you're like coming away and being like Yeah, then we lost because of the Sean two and three.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_02]: They're not going to look at that and be like Yeah, maybe it's time to move on because they already told us they're not trying to compete this year anyway They're they're competing they're still winning and they're developing so it falls right online I think how you lose matters
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: My in-conspiracy theory is still alive that it's still saving Shodora, you know, I feel like they feel like maybe the old line is not what they, you know, think it would be and they rather put this on behind that and save Shodora.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: So wait, do you think there's a world where they have been hyping up this arch and hyping up all of this stuff?
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: When the back of the mind, they want to, like do you think they want to ride with Shador instead of 2027 quarterback?
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: Because with your theory, if they're safe and should or you've got two picks, you will get Jeremiah Smith, so you boister up.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: You're receiving more, then that second pick, you get another offensive line, man, to go on the other side, like in your team, wasting picks on QVs and the first round, whereas at this year when we go online, why I receive her, I feel like that's going to be way better.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: If we do that again, if we follow up with another online, why I receive a draft,
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: So do you guys see a world where if should or doesn't play a ton this year?
- 12:21[SPEAKER_03]: Let's say maybe it's four games at the end of the year.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it's even just one game if to Sean can double the amount of games he's played in a season from the prior couple of years.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: I look on many, many, many, many.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's gotten what?
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: This would be two years of mental reps. Come on now.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm saying so, it should or plays like one to four games this year.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think there's any way they bring him in as QB1 next year without any drastic competition?
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's the thing, I'm saying.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think so, if only I would...
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they should draft a QB in the draft, honestly, but if the Sean's gone, I think he should go into the offseason that's QB one and let's stay bringing in a journey and type QB, a bridge type guy that left them do it out, but we'll see.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think what if...
- 13:15[SPEAKER_02]: I've said what I feel like the quarterback of the future could be on this roster and now they're starting to get a little bit more smoke with the tail and green thing.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, tail and green make it some packages and courting what you make of all that to Todd monkey.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't I don't know what you got use of what you got I just think they are really it's weird because the browns.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's just because there's so many people in the media right now, like on social media and just making a lot of noise that I'm thinking about them too much.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: But I just can't think of a time when the browns have done everything in their power to piss off the fans.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like it feels like they're almost doing it intentionally now to just do things that would ruffle feathers in a sense.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like, could you imagine if that depth chart comes out this week?
- 14:07[SPEAKER_02]: tailing.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: Shedore in active.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's going to be why you, do you know what you're doing?
- 14:15[SPEAKER_03]: No, I saw I will ESPN Cleveland.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_03]: I forget who the personality was, but someone from one of their shows put out something about that being a possibility.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_03]: But then I saw a braided in Fahoko who was on the land a couple of months ago, talk about the possibility as well, that that could be the case.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's interesting because right like Todd Munkin did come out and say that there's a possibility that tail and green is going to have packages this weekend and it's not
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: that's what they said that I think it would be silly and I have to do it to the rest of the rest of the that's what they said that they think that says something like or they were talking about something like they don't want to go in they usually don't like to have three quarterbacks active on the roster
- 14:56[SPEAKER_02]: which is crazy because I mean that means you have if if the shangles down next up is tailing a guy who got zero reps like it just doesn't make sense I feel like logistically to do that like Shidorah's automatically be QB2 but that's the I'm not saying it's concrete or anything but that's what people are preparing themselves for Shidorah to be an act do and tailing to be two if that's going to be okay you just said it but how would you even consider doing that after giving tailing like zero rep?
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: to this point.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I guess it would fall into the theory of their tanking, right, which I don't believe they're doing.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_02]: But it's starting to, remember?
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I remember being an old record a few like right when Todd was hired.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the first thing on him on my mouth was he's a bridge guy.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: And then I slowly was like, Oh, he may not be.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: He sounds like the part.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: and now it feels like he's slowly getting back into that territory with his press conferences with how things are being handled like it seems like we've got another Kevin Stephanski S type of situation here work you've hired a coach who kind of has his hands one hand tied behind his back you're giving him a little authority but not in the authority in areas where the coach should have it matter matter most.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's going to be, uh, let me ask you guys a little bit about Todd Munkin.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think this statement is true?
- 16:13[SPEAKER_03]: Could very, could very well be false.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_03]: This is just the theory that has been positive a few times in the last couple of months.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_03]: If you're Todd Munkin, you're sitting there you're 60 years old.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_03]: You've never had a head coaching interview before.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_03]: If you're walking into a room and just saying that you're willing to work with the Sean Watson, when maybe some other head coaching candidates are ranking the Browns lower in terms of where they may go because of the Sean Watson, do you think there's a world where a tad monk was just like,
- 16:44[SPEAKER_03]: Shit.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'll sound to be an NFL head coach.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_03]: I want to be an NFL head coach.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_03]: Like yeah, I'll work with the Sean knowing that I mean, obviously don't come here.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think Todd monkey was hired thinking.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'm going to be here for one or two years But do you think that there is some at all Understanding that yet Todd monkey maybe was just the guy who was most excited to work with the Sean right now versus oh He's the best answer for the next ten years
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, he told us he didn't watch no Deshawn Watson film from a Ross thing in that, like, Lita, you ain't got a lot of us, but you ain't got a lot of period about that.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like what we line for you, one of the most highly respected offensive coordinators over a decade, your first head coach opportunity, you're not going to watch the film.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's why it's like, they're like Todd Loki was a good liar at first, but not that we know what he looks like when he's lying.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's easier to sniff that out.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't, what do you think Todd thinks of the shot?
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think because a lot of people are saying that it feels like he really wanted Shador, but again management of top is coming down and overruling it overruling.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: It might be the fact that it's just, you can't hit that much money sitting on the bed.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: So what do you say to the people that say, well, Denver cut Russ, they ate all his bread because that's what a lot of people like to go to when they say, well, you watch Sean Payton do it.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: I guess we got shot.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_03]: Here's the thing I just can't ever get over is the fact that he came out publicly and said this is a swing in a mess and then is running him back out there.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_03]: That's like the crazy part to me is like, Jimmy has them did start to admit his mistake with the shot and Watson.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think even started to gain back some good graces from Brownstands who had lost hope in him and his regime of ownership like that's what's wild is putting him back out there.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's wild, it's wild in a lot of senses, but I go back to this one.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_03]: I hear theory though, that might be the only way.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: There's literally only one thing that I can think of as to why they won't want to go back to them.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: And that's because for the first time in the four or five years that they've had them, they're looking at being like damn.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: wait a minute.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: Hold up.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: This might be the guy we traded for like I didn't see me as Buffalo.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not talking about the play on the field.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm not even talking about the mental state.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking to mental state.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_02]: The happy how many times we seem to shine and watch the smile this year.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's the most we've seen as a collective whole his entire tenure here.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_02]: So I think it's one of those things we're looking like.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: Well, damn, maybe if he's isn't a better headspace, maybe if he is, or maybe there is a little something.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I've heard people in the building
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: The Sean look good like he's first one in the building.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's making a he's working hard.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: He's doing all these things that the arm velocity looks like it's back.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: shoulder looks good.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's as healthy as he's ever been.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_02]: So like I don't just think it's Jimmy Haslam looking at it and being like, yeah, I'm the only one bought into this guy.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a lot of people who are looking at the Sean and our bought into what he has to offer this one last year.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_03]: Let's move it into week one now for our Cleveland Browns going to a little game preview and feel how about this for a fact we got football season, officially so let's start with the quarterbacks that we've been talking about for the last little bit shockingly we all know that the first time even on the first in completion there's going to be a
- 20:08[SPEAKER_03]: not even very small portion of the brown sand base who's already like, oh, switch it off to Shidorah.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's time to move off to Shidorah.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_03]: Does one bad game actually, so if theoretically the Sean Watson comes out and does not have a stellar week one, does one bad game change anything internally or how the coaches are viewing the Sean Watson?
- 20:26[SPEAKER_03]: Or is it just internet and fan fodder?
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, it's everybody really, you know, but at the same time, you can't just go off for one week.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's any given Sunday and it's league and, you know, if he starts the pile on a bunch of shit.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean, a bunch of bad players, then we got to go with something, but, you know, after one game, you know, of course the city is going to be mad, you know, the, you know, the, the Shawn haters, the know haters, just doesn't like the way he's playing.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's going to be mad, you know, coaches going to be, you know, what, what looks better, you know, to the court of public opinion, you know what I mean.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to, we're going to see it's going to be like going on depending on how he plays.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_03]: Zade, do you think there will be any questions within the building?
- 21:13[SPEAKER_03]: If Deshawn comes out and does not have a good week one.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: no.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_02]: Next question.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_03]: I love the confidence.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: I love the confidence because it's only amongst fans that are having this conversation.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: They're not going to.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: The Browns could get smacked like they did against Dallas and he's still starting.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: We forget that home opener last two years ago or last year we got to pose routed by the Cowboys by 30 plus points and he started six more weeks after that and we lost five games after that.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I think any one one.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: So no, one week isn't going
- 21:44[SPEAKER_03]: let's talk about the man himself to Sean Watson.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_03]: If you guys could, and I'm sure that probably there could be a massive, then diagram that has these three factors and many other into wider Sean Watson has not returned to his Texans form in Cleveland.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_03]: Do you guys think the biggest hurdle for to Sean is physical, mental, or confidence?
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: mental, mental, for sure.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: The physical part, and don't take long to get that back, but just mental, and then being up to the QB position, which is probably the hardest position in football, it's tough, you know, and he messed a few years due to injury, so, you know, he's missing that time out there, and, you know, it's tough, but at the same time,
- 22:30[SPEAKER_03]: So let me ask you this about that because believe it or not, I never lined up on your center and played quarterback at any point in my life, but I'd have to imagine that is there any physical at all to it because like when I see a guy who as we talk about like was a pro baller at one point in his career, I mean, actually, yeah, it was a little bit long ago at this point being six years, but
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: how do you go from that to like times where he's like skipping a drag route that's five yards away into the dirt like is that not at all physical tours and more like the yips in baseball kind of mentally do you think I think is that timing you know not being around the offense is much new offense it can be a lot of things you know and you know everybody look on the outside you who knows how his mind is when it comes to mentally after
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: after going through all this city's been going through, you know what I mean?
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: And just the beat, you know, and just, it'd be tough.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because he's a human too.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 23:31[SPEAKER_00]: And at the same time, you just got to, you got to put this to the side and go out there and play.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like he'd be thinking too much, you know, and thinking about whatever Michael said, he just got to go out there and do him.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_03]: say, well, why do you think it's mostly meant to over physical or confidence?
- 23:50[SPEAKER_03]: Because my answer is confidence.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: Well, confidence comes from the mental, your mental.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's a different, different evidence.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, mental is stable to become.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_02]: I just sat here and told you how I don't feel like doing nothing because my mental is screwed.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: And that's, and I don't even play quarterback.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: So like imagine, when your mental is off, your mind is what controls everything.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_02]: Your body, your function is the way you move, the way you react, the way you talk, the way you sit, the way you think everything.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_02]: So if you're a mental,
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: isn't in line.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: Of course your physical is going to deteriorate.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: Of course your confidence is going to waver.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_02]: That all has to do with mental.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's why I go back to the one thing I think they're looking at and saying damn, this is the first time his mental actually looks right.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe those other things will look better as well.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_03]: Believe it or not, we are going to switch off of the Cleveland Browns quarterbacks.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_03]: Let's do it folks and talk about the defense for a little bit.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_03]: First match if I want to talk about as we enter here week one is the Jaguier's wider severs against the Browns secondary and really the cornerbacks.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_03]: Because I think that has been
- 24:52[SPEAKER_03]: One question that basically every Browns fan has had the soft season is what did we do if anything to improve the cornerback room?
- 24:59[SPEAKER_03]: Are we a Denzel Ward injury away from the secondary being Swiss cheese?
- 25:04[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously the safety's have more excitement adding an e-man to the group of Ronnie Hickman and Grant Talipod who just got the extension.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_03]: But the Jaguars are in a room.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_03]: We are placed with a receiver room where like they have a bunch of big names but like not nobody really coming off of a
- 25:18[SPEAKER_03]: massive year or claiming that wire receiver one spot for themselves.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_03]: How do you guys see the browns corners matching up against the jag wires and two rooms that really kind of need to have a prove it season?
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think it'll be a good matchup and like you said, they got a bunch of, you know, big name receivers over there, but they got to see how they jell, you know, it's a couple of new ones there and see what Trevor Lawrence is going to do this year.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: You never know how he's going to play, you know, they got rid of Travis, E.T.N., and now in there rolling away with Brad Sean Tutton or Bryce L. Tutton.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we'll see.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think what they're off is our defense got they work cut out for them.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it would be a good test, you know, for them guys up front, Mason Graham, Malik Collins, you know, verse in the rest of the crew.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: You say, how are you feeling about the Jaguar's passing attack against the Brown Steath Hunts?
- 26:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think the only thing I'm going to be watching for is the slot, which Jacobi likes to line up in a slot a lot.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure they probably have Travis try to move around in it.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: But Miles Harden, he's our starting nickel right now and, you know, I like Miles Harden, I think he's, you know, he gives a lot of good effort.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's starting, which is kind of the thing that makes me, you know.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'd rather him be the backup, you'd be a great backup, but I think that that's going to be the matchup that they probably try to attack.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_02]: Go ahead and try Tyson, go ahead and try Denzo, I'll live with the result.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_02]: They've shown enough that they got they got the locks when they need to.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think the bigger the bigger the bigger story is going to be the defensive line though.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: So that's where my attention would be at how much will they be able to help the second
- 27:01[SPEAKER_02]: and so many different ways because you only got a guard for three seconds.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: So will they still have that same responsibility?
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: How much pressure will this defensive line be in?
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's where my eyes will be at.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_03]: Excluding Jared verse, who's probably the obvious one?
- 27:13[SPEAKER_03]: Who on the defensive line are you guys looking for to set the tone the most on Sunday?
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: I was a verse.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: Burst needs to, you know, I feel like he's becoming a, you know, vocal leader, but now, you know, that the, the bull isn't flying.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: If he comes out there and balls out, you know, come out there and show these guys that he's here and, you know, he's ready to, you know, fill those shoes.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think that'll be the biggest thing that we would be able to see.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_03]: Before we get your answer, so I wanted to ask you a bit about,
- 27:44[SPEAKER_03]: Jared verse because one thing with Miles Gary is obviously, hey, guy, what I'm broke the sack record last year, not trying to talk shit about anything.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_03]: He's pretty damn good in football, but at the same time, I think most people would tell you that Miles Gary left something to be desired defending the run.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_03]: When you bring in a guy like Jared verse who not only defends the run, but I kind of can specialize in defending the run as well, coming off the edge, how much does that change what you're doing in the middle of the D line?
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: uh... it doesn't change too much but at the same time it gives uh... your your interior line more uh... freedom i would say you know knowing that they can not sending interest my miles on our side but knowing that this guy's short run stopper you know we can play a lot more freely and inside
- 28:33[SPEAKER_03]: Now, Zay, who's your answer?
- 28:34[SPEAKER_03]: Who needs to set the tone on the D line on Sunday?
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't a good one.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't gonna go Mason Graham, but that's the wrong answer.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: The right answer is Malik Collins.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: Malik Collins is a vent.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: He was on the all pro.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_02]: He was on the all pro journey before his injury.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: He's back.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: He's the leader on this deep.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think Jared versus obviously the vocal leader.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: But when you look at this defense, I mean,
- 28:56[SPEAKER_02]: Grand Opa, Denzo Ward, Carson, he's still young, but in terms of that production and age, Malik Collins fits the bill for all of that.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: And Malik Collins has been getting slept on throughout the entirety of all of these defensive tackle rankings.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_02]: and just people just forgetting that he's on our team.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_02]: So I think if Malik Collins comes out, gets that sack in the beginning, it's gonna open up Isaiah McGuire, Mason Graham's not gonna be, it's gonna open up Mason Graham, Jarvis is obviously gonna make his thing.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: But then I think the guy right behind Malik Collins, so we'll just say the left defensive tackle spot according to the dev charge, both of those guys need to have the biggest impact in being Malik Collins and Mike Hall Jr. because Mike Hall,
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: It was just what two years ago three years ago, where is it area Smith say he was baby Aaron Donald and They put them out they put them all to that defense event spot.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: He made a sack there He looking like he can move if my call Conturning to something like we like just I mean a sliver at that.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we we gonna have some fun on that defense Alas, we see a second or third round pick he was fourth wasn't he?
- 30:03[SPEAKER_03]: That was from one of the years where we didn't have a first cousin of the Sean trade.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_03]: I think you're getting out of a guy who was basically your first pick in that draft would be huge too as well.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'd feel.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about the offense a little bit.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_03]: Trayvon Walker and Josh Allen coming off the edges for the Jaguiers.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: How do you guys feel about this Browns new online everyone in new spots?
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it will be tested.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: We were gonna see what they're all about.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: And that's my conspiracy theory right there that I feel like they don't think that they, that they're as good as they, you know, saying, should it be?
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why they say they should do it.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: But at the same time, the old line man, I hope they get it together.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: They got a lot to prove.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what, you know what?
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: Four of their first years went with five of all.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_02]: Five of them.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: first year playing together.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: So, uh, I hope they do great.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: And, uh, I feel like family will be that, that guy, you know, that I think that I get that spark rolling on that old line.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm, I'm nervous for, um, that right guard spot.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember if you were in here when I talked about, uh,
- 31:15[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, I'm so nervous about one position on offensive line.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's because it was so obvious throughout all preseason, like, sure, I'm sure Titus gave up something here in there.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm sure Zion and Jen, because I know they got beat on a couple plays, but like, I feel like this line can't have one glaring hole because
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: of the fact that they are new.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: They haven't had the experience to gel like that.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: And if one guy messes up, it's going to make that entire offensive line fall apart and just look like they asked.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_02]: And the fact that they are still juggling between Tevin Jenkins and Austin Barber,
- 31:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's making me a little nervous.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_02]: Tevin Jenkins, you brought this guy in here last year.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_02]: You tell him he's been two years now, and he's still ain't figuring it out.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: The zinter thing that didn't work out the way that you guys wanted it to, like, I have my questions at that guard spot, but having a guy at Tevin Jenkins come in, who's been here before it, and hasn't solidified the spot to a backup.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_02]: has me a little nervous.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see how it pans out.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_02]: But I think there's if you want to attack you're probably going to attack that side.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_03]: OK, guys, we got a little lightning round of Brown's Jaguyer's questions for you filled before you got to hear.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_03]: They would love your answers as always, as well.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_03]: Brown's beat the Jaguyer's, yes or no.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_03]: OK, love it.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_03]: Just Sean Watson throws two touchdowns.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_03]: OK. Jared Versk gets a sack.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_03]: OK, we're running through the masses.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_03]: Should our Sanders start to game this season?
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: Start to game this season.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_03]: OK.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, Todd Munkin.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_03]: Quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, quint, qu
- 33:31[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go 24, 17 on a game winning drive by your boy four.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I'm going to go.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_03]: Why predicted last week during the schedule game, the Browns is winning, right?
- 33:43[SPEAKER_03]: I think, yeah, I think I did.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_03]: 1713 Browns.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's a real, a real low scoring.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_02]: A great game.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_03]: A great game to be a guy named Mike Root and Berg.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_03]: Phil, thank you so much for joining us.

- 34:33[SPEAKER_03]: Say, how excited are you for week one?
- 34:35[SPEAKER_03]: If I was a little low today, I need you're the guy who has to convince me of the Browns are going to walk in here and pull out the Jaguars.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_02]: I can't do that.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_02]: I can't convince you anything all at least.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: That's not true match and then I get shit on on Twitter for standing up for guys that I wasn't even like, Well then I get shot on Instagram.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like, I mean, we, we,
- 34:52[SPEAKER_03]: We both get shit on on the same day.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even get it a fraction the way I get it.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, I, well, because no one knows who I am.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_03]: They don't care.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_03]: They don't, no one's trying to get a rise out of me.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_03]: They want to hear what chefs say.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_02]: I guess I'd rather have to take the microwave from this groin, you know, guy with the mustache.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I'd rather hear that than what they tell me.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you gotta put the hate comments in there for that.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_03]: You, you gotta lead the charge on my hate comments.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, let's get it going.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_03]: Let's get it going.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_03]: OK, Zay, what would you show on Watson has to do on Sunday for you to come in Monday or Tuesday of next to me?
- 35:22[SPEAKER_03]: Like, all right, that was pretty good.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: When, when and look and look like you are an NFL quarterback, like we should see you want to throw one ball in the dirt fine.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'll give you one.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's a Mulligan.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: You know what, you'll get a breakfast ball and you get a Mulligan.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_02]: You can have one in the first quarter and you can have one somewhere in the second half.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't need like I I think it was what was it 24 was a 24 or the beginning of 23 where he was throwing passes behind to Elijah Moore that was fumbles and he was throwing balls in the dirt every other time throwing it to the other end zone like yeah like I don't I don't need to see that I want to see exactly what we've been seeing in training camps and I'm not going to say preseason because people what do you mean you look as a pre fine
- 36:08[SPEAKER_02]: Show me what you was doing in training camp because in training camp.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: It looked good.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_02]: You look guy.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: You look like you know what you was doing.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_02]: So that's all I need.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_02]: Some of you just functional offense more so than like, okay, I got to see him hit.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and I need 20 and I need at least 24 points.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: 23 points.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_02]: That 15, 17, all that.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: No, I can I can this not go work for me.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be a little upset.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_03]: Let's do a little with your other little shoes your own adventures.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, pick one.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_03]: A, the Sean Watson throws three touchdowns and looks great.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_03]: But the Browns lose.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we'll say it's a 28 to 24 final score for argument sake, or B, the Sean throws zero touchdowns and looks mediocre, but the Browns win 1713, which I actually said earlier.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, this little, yeah, I was excited to dice on 1713.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_03]: 28, 24.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, how did that loss happen?
- 37:07[SPEAKER_03]: Via the show.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'm throwing three touchdowns and looking great.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_03]: That's all that's I can't I'm not going to add on to the hypothetical.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_03]: but that's not fair.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, we lose 28 to 24.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_03]: We're winning 24 to another one.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_01]: And would you rather win, but the Sean looks really bad or lose, but the Sean looks good.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_02]: If we lost at the hands, if we lost, because they put a second back on the clock, I'm like, that's like no brainer.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_03]: Like when we talk about the big tendency of yourself.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm taking the win all day, but I mean, if we lost, if the Sean throws three touchdowns looks great in the Browns losing, we lose on some bullshit.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's not anything to be mad about.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: So taking to Sean Watson completely out of the equation because that will throw on some jaded lenses for basically anyone in one way shape or form or another is the browns raster this year actually better than the raster they have this year.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, miles better.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: No pun intended.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I do like what you did there.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_03]: So I think the biggest concerns I've heard from people on the Internet to this point have been offensive line in the corner back room.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, you bring in big spents.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_03]: That should be the start of your changes.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_03]: And honestly, too, you talked about him last segment, but there's a world where Austin Barber is starting if not week one by the end of the season.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_03]: You could have two rookies on the old line.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: He's least as proud.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: Seven Jenkins, least as probably two games.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_03]: So you think he's the most likely to not be starting by the time they're back in clear.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_03]: He could lose his job week one.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_03]: interesting.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_03]: Really?
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: You think they give them a one and done?
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: They're already they've went into this week with a question of who was going to be starting.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: They don't know.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: They don't they I don't think they want to have a drink as to be the starter.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_03]: So do you think let me ask you we should have our other max.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think Miles Hardin would be another guy then who also is trouble?
- 38:46[SPEAKER_03]: So you don't think there's anything he could do to lose a slouch out with one.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I mean, anybody can lose their job.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know what you mean.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_02]: But how's garden is, no, he's our best nickel.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: And it's, I mean, our roster, it's not like we're, we're not deep at that position.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just looking at who else is on the roster.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: You're putting roster.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: Number 20 of the guy who was getting cooked all season.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_03]: That's guy who used to are lurking in the free season.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so like, I don't know.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_03]: That's practice squad, too.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_03]: Wait a minute.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_03]: Hold on, I'm tripped.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I don't think he made the final roster.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_02]: Torion Pride Jr. is our backup nickel.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I've never heard that guy in my life to be quite frankly.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yes, I hope he's on the field either.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_03]: To say, if the Browns wins Sunday, what's more likely to be the case?
- 39:28[SPEAKER_03]: The offense kind of shocks us and carries us to a victory.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe the defense has a little bit of aggression from what we saw last year.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_03]: Or it's your typical Browns from what we saw in the gym shorts.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_03]: There are kind of just the defense carries.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_03]: You win a low scoring ball game.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think is more likely to be the case of the Browns win?
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: What is more likely the case?
- 39:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_03]: I would hope it would be because of the offense.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: My whole stance, this entire off season is everyone's shitting in Pupu and on what we did in the off season when everything was geared to fix the offense.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_02]: So I would hope if you win it's because of your offense.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_02]: Your defense has been good for the past five, seven years.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_03]: Zay, can you guess the record in season opener since returning in 99?
- 40:14[SPEAKER_02]: sense returning in 99.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: We have there are 27 games in there.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_02]: There's 27 and how many week one victories that we have?
- 40:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I'm going to say we got at least.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: Man, there's a lot of losses in there.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_03]: There's, there's a string.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: I want to say we probably only have
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I'm being generous when I say this number two.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_02]: Four, you are being generous.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns are three, 23, and one that one year against Steelers.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_03]: I believe those bakers work here with Tyrod Taylor.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_02]: As the time, the other home opener we had was Josh McCown, Corey Coleman, two touchdown, week one against the Steelers, right?
- 41:03[SPEAKER_03]: Did they, they, they, they, they want to get to see those week one.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, wow.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, because they are no, no, no, no, no.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_03]: The year Josh McCown started here.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_03]: They week one.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_03]: I'm positive of this.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_03]: They went on the road to Met life.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_03]: And he like jumped into the end zone.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_03]: And he got to a doctor and died.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: Was that week one?
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: That was week one.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe that was week two then.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that was the home.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they came back week two and one.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think he was your multiple years.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_03]: Who's to say, Josh from Colin wasn't up.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_02]: We did that check that out because I'm just trying to think I vividly remember that was the first game I ever went with my mom and it was a Steelers game and I remember that game at halftime.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_02]: We were sitting behind these two Steelers guys and they had their shirts off by halftime because we was kicking the living shit out of him and I'm pretty sure that was the we thought we had one in Corey Coleman that game boy.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_02]: I tell you.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_03]: It turns out we didn't, but speaking of that three 23 and one record say, what about this Cleason Brown's team screams the fourth team to win their season opener?
- 41:58[SPEAKER_02]: The offense.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: Playmakers.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: Todd.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: Win.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to leave just keep going on one, one, one more.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's what it is.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_03]: Who's under more pressure come Sunday at one o'clock to Sean Watson or Todd Monkin?
- 42:16[SPEAKER_03]: Todd.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_03]: Really?
- 42:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's I think it's for talking about pressure Todd Morgan has been under pressure But more pressure that the most pressure Todd has ever been and had and it already started with that Deshawn wasn't press conference after the after the game.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_03]: But let me ask you this because when I think of pressure I'm thinking of who's more prone to lose their job faster.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm thinking Deshawn Watson even if the Organization of losing job a week one though
- 42:44[SPEAKER_03]: I, okay, but I think there's almost no world where just Sean's the quarterback and Todd Monk and gets fired.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_02]: No, what I mean by the pressure that I'm thinking of.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking at it like the Sean can come out and win and look good and still get shit on.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's a, we know that.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: But Todd could come out.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_02]: Tell us he's got that the Sean gives us the best chance to win.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: The Sean's stink it up and then come to the podium and tell us the Sean gives us the best team to the best chance to win.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_02]: And then come out next week, get shit on, lose with the Sean again, look bad and tell us at the podium that he still gives us the best.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like Todd is going to be put under the fire if he doesn't show what type of stones he's have these first few weeks.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: So Todd is feeling every ounce of pressure, especially with it being his first time as a head time coach.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_03]: Todd needs to put on a good showing this week if if you ask me make sure you stick around because chef says going to head on down to Wall Street and give his browns by yourself coming up at one ten, but we're going to talk about your Cleveland Guardians and their pursuit of the playoff race next on the Big Blue Cleveland show.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back to The Big Play Cleveland Show Live right here on YouTube, Brian Tyler Sheffsay, Jack O'Rourke, and I'm jumping on camera for this one, Jack, because you are our Guardians extraordinaire, and after this weekend, I need some answers, Jack, three walk offs against Detroit, probably feeling pretty damn good.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: Then you lose to Baltimore yesterday, Jack, I'll start right here.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: Did that change anything for you?
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: About this Clevver and Guardian Seaman more specifically when we look at the playoffs.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: Well, not just the wild card, Jack, or the Guardians hopes of winning this Ale Central starting to dwindle.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_03]: a little bit but it's such a day-to-day basis in the sport of baseball like there's 162 and I'm so glad it's we don't have football playing 162 a year because we would have a billion more reactions but years go up and down and it does just go in these swings of like okay we're sitting here about a week ago about a week ago week ago
- 44:37[SPEAKER_03]: And you lose two or three to Toronto and you're like, wow, like, things are in trouble here.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_03]: Then you flip around.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_03]: You win three or four against the Tigers, including three walk-offs and it's like, oh, we're all the way back up, division.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_03]: Here we come.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_03]: We're posting graphics yesterday morning before the show about, oh, are we going to go out and win the AL Central?
- 44:53[SPEAKER_03]: Then you drop one against the team who had lost six in row was coming off getting swept by their division rival and it only scored one run and that entire series.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_03]: And then Joey Cantillo walked in more runners than they had scored against the Boston Red
- 45:07[SPEAKER_03]: in the previous three games so it's tough and you never want to get too high or too low.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_03]: It's almost like the old Tom Brady Chinese proverb, the maybe you want to just stay.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_03]: Everything's a maybe as long as you can, but no, I'm not, I'm not out on this team.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to go down onto the wild Carter division hopes off of one day because if you are the team, we think you are.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to come out and take the next two against the Orioles.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: Jack, Jensen Lewis, who by the way, we confirm not the Vandy Whistler.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: Confirm not the Vandy Whistler.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: still up for debate yesterday set here and told us or I should say pumped the brakes on the Cleveland Guardians winning this division you just gave your kind of spiel about it Jack what would Cleveland have to do over this next week to kind of change your answer or how you view this team right now get the bats going because I don't I mean it's it's it's it's still that simple Jack I mean it's
- 45:58[SPEAKER_03]: I wish I could sit here and be like, oh, like, go play right player, like Travis Pazana needs to lay off pitches that are low in a way more, and that kind of stuff.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_03]: But no, when you break it down to its simplest form, it is just you need to hit the ball more.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_03]: Because Joe, you can't tell, like, not a great start yesterday, but like ultimately, like, I want to say,
- 46:14[SPEAKER_03]: we allowed four runs through five like that's a ballgame you should still be in and yeah they did come back and end up throwing up four yesterday losing six to four but you need to be sitting at four to five runs on a daily basis every single day like that's the bare minimum and you need to be able to give your pitchers that slack where if hey Joey can't till it does tend to have a bad first couple of innings typically like okay it's Joey can't till the day we're not punting because we're three innings in all radians he's given up four runs like you need to start playing your best bets every single day like I know the lottery's been a little
- 46:44[SPEAKER_03]: it's tough man like you're if you're looking to do like yesterday when bizana low to lotter all are all not the line up it's like yeah man like what are you gonna do even if it is against the left you how do you guys like we talked about the guardians oh wrong we talked about the guardians in football
- 47:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like every week the Browns lose, I get it, we live and die by it because we have seven days to soak until the next game.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe three or four depending on if it's a prime time game or something.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: But Guardians fans, it seems like they live and die with every single game, but there's a hundred sixty two of these things.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, sometimes we need to take a step back and stop over analyzing every single game of a series.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I'd probably be hated if I covered the guards.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it's so because you get you do get so reactionary and emotional after every single game because like you are taking your it's not like, oh, just because there's 162 of these doesn't mean I didn't take three hours out of my day to watch it today, you know, like there there is still that fire, but right here right because it goes back even to
- 47:37[SPEAKER_03]: when they made all the big deadline moves, everyone's all riding high and mighty, and then tugboat comes in the town and you can't score a run in the seasons over.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_03]: And we all sit in here and scream and boo and hiss about how bad the team is.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_03]: And they bounce back the next week and they win four or five.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_03]: And it's just like, it is so tough, man.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_03]: But you really can't look at it on a day-to-day basis.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_03]: I think Jensen talked about it.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_03]: Not as much on yesterday's show, but last Monday's edition of Big Click Cleveland was, you just gotta look at serious results.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_03]: So you gotta go by R.E.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_03]: winning series.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_03]: The only thing you should do, you should just turn on La Mola, tweet notifications, if he posts the win, if he posts the tweet, another series win, Triple H, straightening out his jacket, that's how you know the guards are okay.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_03]: You just come check in at the end of the series.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: How do you, how important I'll put it this way is responding to to last, or yesterday's during the day.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_01]: So yesterday's loss, and not turn that one bad game into a bad series.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_03]: it's absolutely massive when you get to this part of the year because this is a Baltimore Orioles team who be sat here yesterday on the show and said, hey, this team is leaning on the ropes.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_03]: They're woozy.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_03]: They're down at the nine count.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_03]: They barely got up.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_03]: The trainer shouldn't even let them be in this fight.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_03]: Still, you got to throw that knockout punch because the Orioles are about to die, right?
- 48:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for the get swept for games and all that yeah, so they they lost six in a row entering yesterday So yeah, man you got to think hey, let's go in and throw that knockout punch knock another team out of the wild card race Hey, we just took three out of four from the Tigers and took whatever spirit they had left up in the Motor City away We got to do the same thing here.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, obviously It's not fun when you drop the first part of that mission, but you still have a chance to go out there and take two out of three and one it
- 49:09[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of knockout punches, I want to talk about Jose.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_02]: Can you just like, great transition?
- 49:14[SPEAKER_02]: Can you give me a little bit of, like, tell me it's, I shouldn't be worried about Jose.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like, is there any worry for his health?
- 49:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like, because if we want to, if we punch our ticket, you're not going anywhere without Jose.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_02]: So like give me give me a little reassurance to know that maybe Jose's is just like you know playing it cool until he gets to the postseason or Well, give me something on Jose.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_03]: I need something feed me.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's tough because anytime you have a handmade bone injury in baseball Like there's a chance that's going to zap your power.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_03]: Jose came back from it at like a rapid pace I forget what year was maybe 2019, but I believe it was before 2020.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_03]: Let's
- 49:50[SPEAKER_03]: So this is what it happened so it happened a while ago, but he came back and just I think his first came back.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_03]: He had two homerons like Dang power was even a question.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_03]: He's all the way back.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_03]: Jose like I mean, yeah It's not your normal like Jose 280, but like the contact has been there since he got back to some extent It's just the power has been gone.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_03]: I think he said one homeron since June 4th.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_03]: I believe it is So yeah, you just got to hope that you get that power back by the time the playoffs come around because you can't win without it
- 50:21[SPEAKER_03]: Hose is always pressing.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_03]: Since Francisco Lindor left and you took that bat out of protecting him in the middle of the order, Hose has gone up there trying to hit a home run every single bat for the last seven years, basically.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_03]: And that's one thing that compiles on a hitter and then compile on the fact that you're not at a hundred percent health and maybe you're not having the year that you're used to having throughout your career.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, if the season in today, it probably would be close to if not historical career lows for Jose Ramirez.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, as they really is just helping against healthy in the same way that hey chased a lotter it sucks to not have him here for a couple of days in the middle of a tight playoff race, but if chased a lotter has a hurt rest on October 1st, you're not going anywhere.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_03]: So let's get chased a lotter healed up now in case you do make it to October 1st.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_02]: kind of the piggyback on that.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to ask one more thing.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think we have the bats that are capable?
- 51:09[SPEAKER_02]: Because I feel like every offseason or every postseason we get to.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: We're always counting on our base running and we're always counting on how we how we can play the bases better than everyone else and and just what is it death by 1000 paper cuts.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like yeah.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_02]: Do we have the bats not with Adele and low and delater and Jose or are you still kind of questioning whether or not we have enough to get it done?
- 51:32[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yeah, I'm sitting there and like, I think it was the sixth setting yesterday.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_03]: And I was just looking at the box score and I think Juan and Rokio had hits at that point and then two through eight in the order were over 14 with five casers or something like that.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_03]: That's also different because it's against left handed pitching and that's not like your typical line up that you'd see on most days, but hey, there's going to be left handed starting pictures on the play off so you see them before so you need you need your line up against lefties to hit as well and no, I don't think it's been there.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_03]: I need more out in the manual, I think is OPS is sitting around like six 40 years since you got to Cleveland and that's.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_03]: I believe worse actually the what Kyle Manzardo's OPS wasn't his time and Cleveland and don't give me wrong.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_03]: I was at the Brian Rokio game on Friday afternoon.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_03]: Nathaniel low hit three balls, probably averaging out to over a hundred miles per hour run X to D low and all three of them are out.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, some things you're going to go against you sometimes on a small sample size.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_03]: Your OPS might not look as good.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_03]: I understand that, but you got to get that guy going and you need balls start getting down for him.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good start.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_03]: Joe Adele, you got to keep up what you did in August.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_03]: Travis Puzana, hey,
- 52:31[SPEAKER_03]: it was a rough couple of months there.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_03]: I looked at town idiot.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_03]: I put out a date before his walkoff home run.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: I want to be careful how I word this because Jose is a Cleveland sweet prince.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, if, I think I said, if the season kind of unfolds how a lot of Guardians fans think and whether that's you completely missed the playoffs, whether that's you get into the playoffs and you bottom out, you lose in the first round.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: Do Guardians fans have a right or will they look at Jose and you mentioned those historical
- 53:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you didn't really do your part either.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_01]: Or is that all injury based?
- 53:35[SPEAKER_03]: I don't, the right, no, because this meant single handedly by himself, Jose Ramirez.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_03]: And eight raccoons and trench coats, went to the playoffs the last nine years or so.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, so yeah, no, no one, if there is anyone who's bad at Jose Ramirez, police direct them my way and I will scream at them.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_03]: If they try and fight me, they'll probably kick my ass.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like 100 pounds, but I will scream at them about how Jose Ramirez is awesome.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_03]: But, yeah, there is something I will show you.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the critical, critical, critical, critical, critical, but kind of just playing doubles advocate adding field of that fire for the opposing view.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_01]: The guardians, like you said, haven't really tried to go out and prove that, oh, we're trying to go win this world series.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: I believe you sense it's what?
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: 2017.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: And these trade deadline acquisitions that they made foster grip and a Dell in low.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's probably the most signaling of that sense when would you say?
- 54:25[SPEAKER_03]: I would say it's a hard to save tried to deadline since the hand-in-simbre year.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: Right, so that's just pre-COVID.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: People for the opposition player, well, they finally did that for ya.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_01]: Not to say that they went out and got him.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, me and that also Derek Scooball, but you get my point.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I think they also maybe a reason they went out and got those guys, is because they knew that Jose Ramirez wasn't at 100% like he was at the trade deadline.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_01]: Well, doesn't that seem a little less backwards?
- 54:49[SPEAKER_03]: what that they finally go do well because that's how they work they work in how can we get this club as close to being good without spending as much money as possible if Josere mirrors his healthy and putting up 30 30 seasons out the wazoo you don't need to go out and get as much help because you have Josere mirrors I mean but maybe when Jose is down a bit that's when they decide to get him help but I don't know because Ryan it's it's interesting.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_03]: We don't know what's going to happen with baseball next year.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_03]: It could be locked out for 162 games.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_03]: There could be locked out for 10 games, zero games, 80 games.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_03]: We don't know.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe if we don't play baseball for half a year and Jose doesn't come back and has a bad second half of next year in a not huge sample size, I'm sure we'll even start having the hey, Jose passes prime conversations.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_03]: Like that's not crazy far off because of his age, but like,
- 55:36[SPEAKER_03]: it's also hosting us done it for so long.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_03]: He hits from both sides of the plate.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_03]: He's been the face of the franchise.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_03]: He's been the entire franchise where whatever that guy does, you give him his flowers until he takes the jersey off.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I was going to say.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: Jose could literally do no wrong in Cleveland.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_03]: Jose, Jose, for Jose, they had won 50.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_03]: For the next five years, I had shoved to the ballpark with my unobro home run shirt.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_03]: Home run pictured on every single time.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_02]: What if Jose is playing a little
- 56:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to get you 30 30.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_03]: He's doing the Razor Ramone.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_03]: I'm fake.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Jose has been very vocal, right?
- 56:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's been on record telling us what it is.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like, maybe what if he is like, okay, fine.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm, I'm going to play your game.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to give you 30 30.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_02]: right and then all of a sudden a move maybe hey I've been I'm going to speak it into existence maybe give Mike Trout on a cheap deal ringer the land you show them some appreciation you know I said for all right behind Jose give them some land give them some of the land like I mean like the land the land like we're not afford to pay them so it's give them real estate no that's a good one yeah
- 56:41[SPEAKER_02]: I would probably take that right later never going anywhere, but I mean, what if it is, do you think there could be any merit to maybe Jose playing his cards a little bit differently because he wants to put a little bit pressure on this front office.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's the weird thing because an interview came out or resurfaced I should say at the start of this season, but it was actually recorded before last season and again, I don't I don't speak Spanish.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_03]: I'm only going off the internet.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not the brightest student in the world.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_03]: So please take whatever I'm saying with a little bit of a great assault, but Jose essentially came out in the interview and said like, yeah, like I signed this massive or sorry.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_03]: I took a massive hate cut despite the fact that I signed a huge contract expecting that whatever money would have gone to me is now Allotted to support around me whether that's in the line up rotation whatever and yeah They really haven't lived up to that under the bargain so it's interesting because I do think that
- 57:40[SPEAKER_03]: they've been a little cautious the last year or two and especially they've been less proactive with with extending younger players the last year or two because of the looming lockout but I am curious to see whenever the lockout is solved like okay will they go give Gavin Williams the duffy to stay in Cleveland like are they going to hand out a contract to chase the water Travis Pazana.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_03]: Hey we like this show at Del guy he's been awesome in Cleveland he's got top 100 prospect pedigree.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, he's got top five prospect pedigree.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we'll give him a contract.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, quans, stick around.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe Blitzer starts spending money.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_03]: So I am curious to see if they do start putting a little more money to the roster.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_03]: Once we know exactly what's going to happen with the lockout, whether there's a floor coming into baseball, a cap, whatever.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_01]: All right, before we get out of here and go back to the Browns and I did that again.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_01]: When the regular season ends, where are the clube of guardians?
- 58:29[SPEAKER_01]: A, A essential champs, B, wild cards, C, home, watching October baseball.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_01]: And B.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_01]: I would say B as well.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think B, I think the what that's a safe edge.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, it is, it's just like at a certain point, I've always kind of thought through these like few like three to four game winning tricks we have like, okay, like now they're gonna take off the white socks can't stay hot forever.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even think the white socks are necessarily for sure a better baseball team, but I think that we just haven't shown the consistency enough where I feel confident saying hey, we're gonna take that lead back and then hold on to it.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_03]: But
- 59:02[SPEAKER_03]: It's a different question when you're talking about, hey can this team get in as the final wild card in them on a series?
- 59:07[SPEAKER_01]: Say, is this one going to get crazy?
- 59:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be celebrating like it's what Jack 1940, 1948, baby.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_03]: So what was your question again?
- 59:14[SPEAKER_01]: All right, A.O.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_01]: Central Champs, just the wild card, or are they going to be home watching October baseball?
- 59:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they'll be home.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're going to punch their ticket.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's the way that they've been winning games lately.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_02]: Almost, it's not quite there yet because as a, like, I'm just a very surface level guards fan, you know, you, you can probably attest to this better, but it's not giving.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's giving, like it wants to be magical, but it's not magical yet.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_02]: you know, it's giving like it could be magical, but I still think we're waiting for that magic to fully hit and we know as gars fans when it's magical in the city We feel it.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's very epic.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's very epic.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_02]: We know when it happened.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm still waiting for that for whatever I don't the sweet guy.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_00]: No, but that's what I want to see.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's giving like it wants to be magic you know what I mean, but like
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_02]: You walk past the Santa Claus every year.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_02]: You're saying you act like you want to give them the change.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_02]: But like you act like you want to donate to the Santa Claus there.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_02]: But you got a couple pennies.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_02]: So like it's giving me a couple pennies.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_02]: Then it give me the whole dollar bill.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_02]: Give me that five that's floating around here.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_02]: I need to know that as magic, all right?
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_02]: I need to feel like I'm in Disney land on Carnegie.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_02]: And I ain't got it yet.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_02]: I ain't got it yet.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe your home run from the Jose a change that or something, but I need to see a little bit more.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_01]: You're a national treasure.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Jack, I'm giving you your host hat back when we come back.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_01]: We're done hedging.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_01]: It is by or sell on some of the biggest questions surrounding our Cleveland Browns.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_01]: during week one.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back to the Big Play Cleveland Show, Jack O'Rourke alongside Chef Zay and Ryan Tyler.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_03]: Zay, it is time to play some by yourself.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_03]: Let's head on out to Wall Street.
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_03]: What do you say?
- 1:00:59[SPEAKER_03]: Let's get it.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_03]: Let's get it by yourself, Chef Zay and Ryan Tyler.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_03]: The Sean Watson plays well enough Sunday to quiet the Shidorah conversation for at least one week.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_03]: uh... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_02]: I said it earlier, and I said a Sean could throw for 400 yards, five touchdowns, and no pigs, and there will still be shit or chatter.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to probably have to sell that.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_01]: If the Browns win, and to Sean actually looks decent, I think a lot of people actually quiet it down, right?
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if he puts up a moderate style line and turn over, there's going to be shit, like there's going to be shit or fans, and the like that are going to scream for the top
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess the question is, what quiet the noise down?
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll sell it.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I would have sold off to Sean Watson plays well.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_03]: That was like I could have gotten forward to installed that one.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I actually buy that.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_02]: They play as well.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think he will play well.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's never lost to them.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's a despite the fact that, is it?
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even have no one.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_02]: The one game that he lost, it was in a replacement for Tom Savage, halfway through the game.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_03]: So do we retroactively take away his win for one PJ Walker beat the cult?
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_02]: They a lot of people who do.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, fair trick.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_03]: That's a trick song.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_03]: By or sell, the Browns will have a winning record after four games.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think you have to like can I surrender that and get half my money back because that's a push.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_03]: How's that a push you said after four games.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's a winning record.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's either by five hundreds of loot and you'd have to sell I mean, oh, from my record then.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if they're too into the record, if they're too into.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're gonna be three and one, so I'm gonna buy it.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I have them as Owen Force, so that my answer's clearly no.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm gonna sell that one as well.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_03]: By yourself, Jared Vers will be Cleveland's best defensive player this season.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_01]: This is a really good one.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'll let you go first.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty sure we'll stuff.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like if he can do what he says he's been, if he can do what if he's advertised as that.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_02]: No, because he's put a lot of emphasis on finishing this year.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_02]: We all know I think he was third with miles and pressures this past year or he was high up on the list and pressures.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_02]: If Jared verse comes out with like 12 13 sacks this year, I would say he would
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think Carson, Swesinger is still in the conversation, and I still think Denza Ward, they disrespect them in these top 100 ratings he just got paid.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there are still a couple other candidates.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_02]: So unfortunately, as much as I love Jared Verz, I think he has every tool to be it.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_02]: I have to sell this week because I just think that there's other people who could be better.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_01]: I want to start this off by saying,
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_01]: I love Denzel Ward and he's amazing and he could obviously be the best defensive player this season.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not going to pick him and I'm going to sell for Jared first because I think it's going to be Carson's question, but can I also throw a sneaky one at you?
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_01]: What if this is the year and again, we're not talking about stats we're talking about.
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_01]: stuff you can't see the box score.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_01]: What if Mason Graham takes that elite level, right?
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_01]: Becomes that all-pro defensive tackle, and then we look back like, wow, what a great trade passing on Travis Hunter for that.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_02]: See, the only thing about that is it's not very often a defensive tackle is the best player on the team.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like you would have to be...
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_02]: Aaron Donald Brown, what Derrick Brown, Esk.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_01]: Right, that's why I would say Swesinger, but that's my like sleeper.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like I could see it, but I mean, if if Mason Graham takes a Dexter Lord's hype, like you're put, that's the type of Imagine this defensive Mason Graham put up 10 sacks.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, oh, well, then he would be the best player on this defense.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it would be close.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think that they were that would show how much of impact he has.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_02]: But again, a defense attack will you have to have that type of a stat line to be the best.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_03]: I got your back, Jared.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to buy this one.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, I don't believe it.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_03]: I got you.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_03]: I got you.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_03]: I got you.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm worried about it.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_03]: But you didn't.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_01]: But you didn't.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_03]: We watched my theoretical money where my theoretical mouth is.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_02]: We watched this do play football when we were four in 12 with What looked like his hamstring falling off his bone that that does differing.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_03]: He's a dog.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_03]: He's a dog.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_03]: Imagine him by yourself Shoulder Sanders starts a game for the Browns of season.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_03]: Got to be right.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, okay By our saw Cleveland's defense will be better than its offense.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_03]: Got a bite, right?
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_03]: Oh.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm happy.
- 1:05:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_01]: Because we're quarterback play.
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_01]: I have a believer in Munkin.
- 1:05:57[SPEAKER_01]: I love, I think, he's going to be a star in this league.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_01]: However, quarterback play will make me pick the defense to be better again.
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_01]: Listen.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know man.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think there will be some sort of drop-off in our defense.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think we'll be in that 15 to 18 range I think you should be able to find these were saying that two weeks.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_03]: Well, no, I didn't.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yes I said no, that's probably will they end up?
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_03]: It's saying what I think that's how five to ten deep five to ten defense they are
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_02]: They are a top to 510.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think realistically because of everything that goes into it, I think that we could see a top 15 defense out of them.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm also thinking that the bronze are going to be on offense in that same category.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think that you have enough playmaker.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_02]: We watched PJ Walker win two games with it.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_02]: We've watched it.
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_02]: DTR beat an AFC North opponent like it's not hard.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have to have, you know, exceptional quarterback play for your offense to be good and I think you finally have, I don't want to say finally because I always poo poo like that.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_02]: We did have Jarvis, we did have all those.
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_02]: We've had plenty of weapons, but I think the coach matters and I think the coach can elevate and put your quarterback and your playmakers in position to make play.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_02]: So I think
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_03]: But I will argue that didn't we win the DTR Steelers game and because of the game?
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like if you're a little defensive games under 20 points, but we also lost the game because of the defense.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_02]: PJ Walker was going blow for blow for blow with the Seattle Seahawks and our defense can Mitchell who didn't pick it, it hit off his helmet.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, it was one of the corner.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I remember we're talking to someone that would be a shit.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_02]: That might have been came initial.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_02]: You might be right on that.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but yeah, we've watched PJ Walker put up 28 points in our defense.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_02]: Sell it.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to ride with my guide side.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's our head coach.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to have buy it.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_02]: That are offense.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_02]: That sounds crazy to say.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not I can't even buy it can I put a place order in what do they call it a Carry out no that the take on the stock thing when you put in a of a buy order at a certain mark you know what I mean like I want to buy it But I'm just not buying it at this price
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_01]: I want to shout out real, I angered that Ingrid Ashbury says most improved on for sleeper and boy, if this does come to fruition, that's when you talk about the Cleveland Browns being again on tile 5 defense, Tyson Campbell, boy, would that help this defense if you could have opposite side of Denzel another lockdown corner.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think Tyson already gets a little bit of, I think he's underrated.
- 1:08:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think people who looked at what our defense used to be with Martin Emerson and Denzo Award and the depth that we had then, and they kind of compare the two.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_02]: Tyson has been
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to say a lot down, but go back and watch some of the game.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, even the stealer bro, that stealer's game.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_02]: They were attacking Tyson Campbell every single chance they had.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_01]: Rodgers was like three back shoulder phases against, I can't even remember that.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I think he had Metcav may have gotten one on him, out of that entire fiasco of throws that went his way.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_02]: Tyson Campbell was underrated, and I don't think he gets the credit that he deserved.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't need I don't even need him to do anything crazy for him to get a look because he he should already be getting looks in my eyes by or sell the browns are better than people nationally think they are not including the nationally I bought all that stock y'all can't even buy yeah I'll buy a hundred percent right like we're very in tune with you every I don't want to say that every day that makes me sound like I'm in the locker room I'm a reporter but we're more so inclined to understand like Carson's sweatshirt is a leap away from being the best
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody looks at the rounds and what do they see the quarterback room they see a first time at coach and Todd monkey and who's kind of I don't want to say the laughing stock of this High cycle right, but like he was kind of I've been the run to the world but he also is really considering Todd monkey so it nationally I think they're way better than people are viewing them.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yes
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so you're locked in on too.
- 1:10:01[SPEAKER_01]: Love that by yourself to Sean Watson is still to be one when we reach November, so that would be I'm selling November our first game in November would be the Steelers so that he would have to start week eight away for the Steelers
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_01]: I sure like I'm sure they would love him to still be the starting quarterback but are they going to wait 11 weeks just to get to that buy I'm a saint Yes, but then again, it's like you're not starting should or on the I'm a dude I think yes, I'm gonna say yes.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's gonna be good I think they just don't want to start should or it's well say yes
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_02]: Bro, we watched the Sean go 1 in 7 on 15.8 points for a game with Jamest Winston in your back pocket.
- 1:10:43[SPEAKER_02]: And then they went to DTR before they even went to Jamest Winston.
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_02]: The Sean Watson is going to be the quarterback up until
- 1:10:53[SPEAKER_02]: they have to see shit or so like that's why i think the least really has to be that that that Vegas game that by week game because i do i i'm gonna stick with my my take that i've had for a while now and that's we are gonna see multiple quarterbacks this year the odd say we are the history says we will it baker i mean is there a franchise quarterback on this team right now because i was the last time we had a quarterback go all 16 games
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_02]: So I think November is a great timetable, but I don't think it's that week eight one.
- 1:11:23[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's the start of it because I think that's the stretch where he ends up losing multiple games in a row.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_03]: And you had three and around the row.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like two or three in a row where they lose.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_02]: And then they make the switch to Shidorah.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_02]: We have to know if Shidorah can live up to the pressure in terms of the moment of the scenario.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_02]: Like it makes perfect sense of your five and five.
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_02]: You just watch the Sean go freaking three games in a row where you lost.
- 1:11:48[SPEAKER_02]: Can Chador elevate you that I think that's what they need to know before they go into that 2027 draft and be like yeah, we want to go ahead and waste our ammunition on another quarterback because if Chador can come in at five and five and elevate you and he finds a way to win.
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just give him four and not even give my 10 if he found a way to come into win four more games and he already won what he won four games last year with the trash that we had right?
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_02]: or was it three, three or four games last year and four.
- 1:12:14[SPEAKER_02]: So you're telling him with a better offensive line, with better weapons at the receiving core, with a guy and Todd Munkin, who obviously can elevate your play on every level that you want, that he can't win games that way.
- 1:12:25[SPEAKER_02]: So I think it's gonna be one of those things where
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_02]: they're almost going to be forced and November to make the change depending on what the record may be.
- 1:12:34[SPEAKER_03]: Let's get Cleveland's thoughts on that now.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_03]: Our big play big question of the day for today's show is how short should the Sean Watson's leash be?
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_03]: Very short, one bad game came with 50% of the votes, 42% for giving two to three games, given the chance coming in at Ironically 4% and Nolish Watson is Cuban.
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_03]: So,
- 1:12:59[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, yeah, only 4% of people saying just let the Sean go out there and free room at QB1.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_03]: Just say it thoughts on what the good people of Cleveland had to say.
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, I'm not going to have any thoughts for this because any time I have thoughts on the Sean Watson, I get crucified in the comments.
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think that CNN's there was a good one though.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_02]: Just be patient and let it play out.
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_02]: We're bronze fans are like, we don't see one quarterback all year.
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to see your guy relaxed.
- 1:13:23[SPEAKER_03]: Alright guys, real quick, let's do our Browns and Jaguars predictions before we get on out of here.
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_03]: Browns, Jags, winner and final scores.
- 1:13:31[SPEAKER_03]: We already got yours earlier, Zay.
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_03]: Ryan?
- 1:13:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, man, week one is so hard to predict in the NFL, man, because injuries, you don't know what the hell is going to be happening with people's offense, especially those coaching changes and all that.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_01]: The lines are just so hard in saying to guess, but what we're doing next
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I'm gonna go Jaguar's 20 Browns 10.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Browns, I think the Browns offense struggles to get, but I think the defense plays all right.
- 1:14:02[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I just think the offense is gonna struggle with the Sean Watson week one on the road.
- 1:14:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's gonna be a smooth operation.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_01]: Can the offensive line gel right away in week one?
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, I'll be the pessimist.
- 1:14:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you're gonna hate me on Tuesday next week when we win and we screw more than 10 points.
- 1:14:18[SPEAKER_03]: I hope they win ten and nine that be hilarious now guys.
- 1:14:21[SPEAKER_03]: You'll just Sean Watson stat.
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm prediction I will go The Sean Watson week one against Jacksonville Jaguar's I'll go 15 for 27 100
- 1:14:39[SPEAKER_01]: hundred thirty seven yards.
- 1:14:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 1:14:42[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, one thirty.
- 1:14:43[SPEAKER_01]: And.
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_03]: And one rushing touchdown.
- 1:14:49[SPEAKER_03]: And guitar now and a pick guitar on the touchdown or no.
- 1:14:54[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:14:56[SPEAKER_03]: That was important.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_03]: Gosh.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go.
- 1:14:58[SPEAKER_03]: I can't wait to save these receipts.
- 1:15:03[SPEAKER_03]: See, I don't think they're going to throw it at that much like I don't think they're going to throw it I think I'm going to have to because they're going to be behind man.
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_03]: I said they might still not throw it I'm going to go 26 attempts.
- 1:15:15[SPEAKER_03]: I like 14 of 26 Going to go 175 yards important to note.
- 1:15:24[SPEAKER_03]: I do think there is a screen and or RPO bubble that goes for about 50 of those
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_01]: a Dylan Samson slip screen.
- 1:15:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, Dylan Dylan Samson, half back mid swing for 50 yards.
- 1:15:38[SPEAKER_03]: Give me a passing touchdown, an interception and a fumble and a spike throw.
- 1:15:46[SPEAKER_03]: No, no spike, actually.
- 1:15:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I just like those to shot or not, I said to say, your thoughts on the Sean.
- 1:15:53[SPEAKER_02]: you guys are something else, um, the Sean Watson has had one game with Todd Munkin and he's done something he hasn't done his entire career with him.
- 1:16:02[SPEAKER_03]: Even with the 40 yard screen, the Dylan Samson, oh, because that doesn't matter, I guess that doesn't fucking matter.
- 1:16:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, either way,
- 1:16:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to throw for over 200 yards.
- 1:16:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to do it easily.
- 1:16:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think he'll probably in his career.
- 1:16:17[SPEAKER_02]: He's only thrown, since it's first two, we'll take the two first games out of it.
- 1:16:22[SPEAKER_02]: He hasn't attempted less than 28 passes in the entire career against this team, and he has their number.
- 1:16:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to throw multiple touchdowns.
- 1:16:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think we'll give him one pick.
- 1:16:33[SPEAKER_02]: We know he likes to put some ball in harm's way.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_02]: I can give him an interception there.
- 1:16:36[SPEAKER_02]: But we're gonna end up winning this game and I think Deshawn is probably gonna be a big reason why unfortunately for the people who don't want to see it So say I believe 267 passing yards is no not 267 said he'll get over to no I didn't say that you said he was gonna okay I so 267 passing yards is Deshawn's high as a member of the Cleveland Browns.
- 1:16:57[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think he can graze that or no?
- 1:17:00[SPEAKER_02]: Do I think he can graze it?
- 1:17:02[SPEAKER_02]: Can you be with an American?
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 1:17:04[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:17:04[SPEAKER_02]: Can't does he do what this game?
- 1:17:07[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the little nine, if he's going to be the quarterback, I pray.
- 1:17:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, probably a hundred and some yards of what game I do think though.
- 1:17:13[SPEAKER_02]: This will be one of those games where you look up.
- 1:17:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't want to say people are going to jump on the.
- 1:17:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, is this the start of the the Sean watch in 20, 20.
- 1:17:22[SPEAKER_02]: No, I don't even want people to go to that let that shouldn't be the first thing.
- 1:17:25[SPEAKER_02]: People think of when the Sean Watson comes out and whatever his stat line is, but I do think like if he throw for 225 and he looks good and we win the
- 1:17:37[SPEAKER_02]: you should be looking at that different, like you should actually be looking at that with Samar and giving it a thought like damn, maybe there is some here.
- 1:17:44[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I was wondering which if Watson throws three touchdowns and whatever yard did you say and we lose 28 to 24.
- 1:17:51[SPEAKER_03]: That's the best game he's had as a brawl like we gon' see her in Puputa like, oh no, I think we would probably come in here and say that Hey, this offense might have a pulse, but let's figure out what's going on here Rudy.
- 1:18:04[SPEAKER_02]: Well, well, the brawl's just released Bryce Oliver and Punner West fall shit damn from the practice squad, but that's fine moving every second
- 1:18:20[SPEAKER_02]: Who scores Cleveland's first touchdown on 2026 first touchdown.
- 1:18:24[UNKNOWN]: Wow.
- 1:18:25[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 1:18:25[SPEAKER_01]: This was I just so I just said and I guess in mind if I gave to Sean a rushing touchdown only scored 10 points I guess I got a state to Sean.
- 1:18:33[SPEAKER_03]: Good for you.
- 1:18:38[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like that's going to be something like just so off the wall weird.
- 1:18:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like part of me wants to go nuts on the wall and say Malachi Corly on a jet sweep.
- 1:18:51[SPEAKER_01]: Well last year was Raheem Sanders.
- 1:18:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but that's also what it covers the Ryan pulls one in the back of the on zone.
- 1:18:58[SPEAKER_02]: No, I could see a Blake.
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_03]: I could see a Blake white heart from the chat right here.
- 1:19:03[SPEAKER_03]: I can't track the swans.
- 1:19:05[SPEAKER_02]: I could see a Blake white heart such down.
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_02]: We all think Harold Fanon.
- 1:19:09[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Todd Munkin's no stranger to multiple tight ends.
- 1:19:12[SPEAKER_02]: We've always, you always want to mark Andrews, but instead Isaiah likely ended up getting it in the red zone.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_02]: Do I go, I almost want to say the Browns defense.
- 1:19:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like I almost want to buy us hard and pick six plus nine million.
- 1:19:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like no, like let's go even further.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go Jared versus strip sack picked up by whoever to the house.
- 1:19:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, Miles, who Jared versus here?
- 1:19:35[SPEAKER_01]: Can we not at least make Mason Graham pick up the fumble and score it because Bruce Brennan always says, well, how many touchdowns is Mason Graham going to score?
- 1:19:42[SPEAKER_02]: A Mace in his head to come in with a Trentis hunter who's playing basically corner back Mason is hitting the gritty if he scores I he's got one thing I I ain't really I wasn't hit to his game all entirely boy got some swag So I I would love to see a mace of grand touchdown because I noticed celebration.
- 1:19:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'll live up to it
- 1:20:01[SPEAKER_02]: What will be the Monday morning headline?
- 1:20:03[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I got to give mine's gonna be Isaiah Bond.
- 1:20:05[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna pick up the, why do you seem really boring?
- 1:20:06[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's a fun one to go with.
- 1:20:08[SPEAKER_03]: What's your Monday morning Brown's headline gonna be?
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_03]: Well, what will be streaming across all the, all the apps?
- 1:20:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like, listen, I don't wanna be that guy that's predicting it just to predict it, but like, I just unfortunately think,
- 1:20:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a tougher season than a lot of people are thinking, and I think they're still going to be great things to pick from the season, and I'm still optimistic about the future of the franchise, but I think the headlines are going to be probably what a lot of people think the headlines are going to be, and it's going to be the Sean disaster Brown start on one quarterback in question.
- 1:20:33[SPEAKER_01]: Really, because I got this externally, not internally.
- 1:20:36[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 1:20:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like you said, they won't question internally.
- 1:20:38[SPEAKER_02]: So you didn't see that headline, did you?
- 1:20:40[SPEAKER_02]: I knew that was coming from you guys.
- 1:20:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure yours is probably similar.
- 1:20:43[SPEAKER_02]: Mine is the opposite, but the same guy in it.
- 1:20:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's going to be, has Todd Monk and turned back to Sean Watson's clock.
- 1:20:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I don't want people to go to the 2020 thing, but that's going to be the headline because the Sean's going to look good.
- 1:20:54[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to end up winning the game.
- 1:20:56[SPEAKER_02]: And they're going to be like, oh, did Todd unlock it?
- 1:20:58[SPEAKER_02]: The hot tub machine?
- 1:21:01[SPEAKER_03]: uh... cold open browns lose seventeen ten and do ball do do okay can you get your do all your best to all that's all the time we have for today's edition of the big play Cleveland show we're gonna be back tomorrow noon to one thirty met fontana ryan Tyler Ryan anyhow any clues got reports for for the people on who the guests are going to be tomorrow
- 1:21:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'll, I'll say is this, if you're looking to get some guardians optimism in Carlos Bayerga coming on Wednesdays, um, you know, things are going wrong when the show happens to recumbs in pessimistic because that's how you know things are really going south.
- 1:21:40[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, we hope we avoid that.
- 1:21:41[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see you tomorrow at noon, go guards.
