- 0:26Speaker 2: flour comes from eighteen oh four, which would actually be cool,
- 0:30Speaker 2: but it doesn't. It doesn't. It's just a mess and
- 0:33Speaker 2: the tiles cracking and the whole thing is ridiculous. And

- 1:59Speaker 2: Tony kat. This is ninety three w ib C guys.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good to be with you.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I had a whole host of things that I could
- 2:07Speaker 2: have gotten to. So I guess I can give you
- 2:09Speaker 2: an option. I can give you Rosie o'donald or I
- 2:14Speaker 2: can give.
- 2:14Speaker 1: You ilhan Omar. What I'm sorry, I I I didn't
- 2:21Speaker 1: I didn't hear that I said.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I can give you Rosie o'donald or I can give
- 2:26Speaker 2: you ilhan Omar.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Which one? Which? Which one?
- 2:31Speaker 2: Would you?
- 2:31Speaker 1: Would you like? Oh? God? These are your options.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Not even supposed to be here today, but we are here,
- 2:40Speaker 2: and we're here together. We're like an hour away from
- 2:42Speaker 2: the from the t K Thursday music moment. We've got
- 2:45Speaker 2: a lot going on. These are your options, and I
- 2:50Speaker 2: know you don't want to.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Have to choose. Oh by you. If you don't choose,
- 2:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna plan both. Now.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I'll start with Governor Andy Basheer of Kentucky, because somehow
- 3:01Speaker 2: we're still talking about Trump and the Pope.
- 3:03Speaker 1: As if this is a thing.
- 3:06Speaker 2: By the way, did I see it right that Trump
- 3:08Speaker 2: put out a new image of Jesus embracing him?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Is that right?
- 3:15Speaker 2: Did he really do that? He's like, well, if they're
- 3:17Speaker 2: angry with me, I'm going all the way in. I mean,
- 3:19Speaker 2: that's exactly who he is. There was a story about
- 3:24Speaker 2: how religion has picked up an importance with men eighteen
- 3:29Speaker 2: to twenty nine, like it's become much more important in
- 3:35Speaker 2: their lives.
- 3:37Speaker 1: And part of the.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Reason for that is the political left has created a
- 3:41Speaker 2: world where you've told men that they're terrible and they're awful,
- 3:45Speaker 2: and you've told men that they're wrong and they're toxic.
- 3:48Speaker 2: And what they're looking for is something to connect to,
- 3:52Speaker 2: something to believe in, something that gives them a sense
- 3:55Speaker 2: of purpose. And I've also seen a lot of people
- 4:01Speaker 2: making moves towards Catholicism.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Well better this than making a move towards the.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Andrew Tates, Tucker Carlson, Nick Flintes of the world. I
- 4:16Speaker 2: would I have no issue with a move towards religion.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I would have an issue with a move towards those
- 4:22Speaker 2: ridiculous fools.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And maybe that's why what Trump has put out has
- 4:27Speaker 1: been seen.
- 4:28Speaker 2: You know where Trump was basically imitating Jesus, which he wasn't,
- 4:31Speaker 2: being a doctor, it's not what happened in the imagery.
- 4:35Speaker 1: He did. What he did, and some people had an
- 4:37Speaker 1: issue with.
- 4:38Speaker 2: It, although no one has reached out to me and said,
- 4:41Speaker 2: some people, what are two? People on the live stream
- 4:45Speaker 2: thought it was in bad taste, but no one said, Tony,
- 4:47Speaker 2: this was really disgusting. And here's why I didn't get
- 4:49Speaker 2: any of those kinds of responses. But some people could
- 4:52Speaker 2: have felt that way. Some people could have just been
- 4:54Speaker 2: annoyed with it. Me, could you stop getting in your
- 4:57Speaker 2: own damn way, Stop making life difficult for others who
- 5:01Speaker 2: are trying to be supportive of your policies.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And he does that, and he's done that his entire.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Career, and he doesn't get it, he doesn't know it,
- 5:08Speaker 2: and there people around him are still totally fine with it.
- 5:11Speaker 1: They'll always be wrong. And that's that. You could be
- 5:15Speaker 1: maga all you want. He gets in his own way.
- 5:19Speaker 2: In the first term, we talked extensively about self inflicted wounds.
- 5:23Speaker 1: It's all on the record. It still exists. He's still
- 5:27Speaker 1: doing it.
- 5:28Speaker 2: For all of the good qualities, there are some things
- 5:31Speaker 2: in which the president is just ridiculous. He will not learn. Oh, Tony,
- 5:35Speaker 2: how dare you? He's so smart? It's all five D chests.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Some of it's just dopey, that's all. It's just dopey,
- 5:44Speaker 2: and it hurts him, and it hurts Republicans trying to
- 5:46Speaker 2: win midterms.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It hurts those.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Of us who are trying to engage policy conversations, because
- 5:51Speaker 2: now I'm talking about this, the man's a human starting gun.
- 5:58Speaker 1: It's a great line from the West Wing, and here
- 6:01Speaker 1: it is. So what does he do?
- 6:03Speaker 2: He puts out another one where he's being embraced by Jesus. Okay,
- 6:16Speaker 2: all right, fine, but that story is not the pope
- 6:20Speaker 2: story where the Pope picked a fight with him.
- 6:24Speaker 1: The Pope is not above some kind of discussion.
- 6:26Speaker 2: So why is the governor of Kentucky, Andy Basheer, acting
- 6:29Speaker 2: like he is?
- 6:30Speaker 3: Ed?
- 6:31Speaker 2: There are a number of people in your community who
- 6:33Speaker 2: are both Catholics, proud Catholics also have been proud Trump supporters.
- 6:38Speaker 2: What is this about?
- 6:40Speaker 1: There are no politics in this.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Donald Trump is doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants,
- 6:46Speaker 3: and he will insult or attack anyone. I mean, look
- 6:49Speaker 3: at Marco Rubio calling him little Marco. Apparently Marco Rubio's
- 6:54Speaker 3: forgotten that. Look at Ted Cruz standing up for him
- 6:56Speaker 3: at different times when he attacked his wife and suggested
- 6:59Speaker 3: his death was in the JFK assassination.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Now, before we go on, I always argued that some
- 7:09Speaker 2: of the things Trump said, especially about Ted Cruz, were weird, awkward, wrong,
- 7:13Speaker 2: and I was surprised that Ted Cruz didn't push back
- 7:15Speaker 2: more forcefully. I always was calling Marco little Marco. Yeah,
- 7:23Speaker 2: that was the election, and this is now. You call everybody,
- 7:28Speaker 2: your party calls everybody they disagree with a Nazi. And
- 7:31Speaker 2: now you, Andy Basheer, the governor of Kentucky, are going
- 7:34Speaker 2: to discuss name calling is a problem.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Well, it's a problem.
- 7:38Speaker 2: You got to discuss it all the way around, which
- 7:39Speaker 2: would be completely fine.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I'd agree with you. Lots of people listening would agree
- 7:44Speaker 1: with you. It's only this, It's only this.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Subject, Oh Andrew, Andrew.
- 7:53Speaker 3: And now this, I mean Donald Trump puts himself above everyone,
- 7:58Speaker 3: including the Pope and in his mind probably God. But
- 8:02Speaker 3: think about this. Go back to a statement that didn't
- 8:04Speaker 3: get a lot of attention. He was asked on Air
- 8:07Speaker 3: Force one at one point whether he thought there was
- 8:09Speaker 3: any way he was going to heaven, and he said
- 8:11Speaker 3: no and didn't seem worried about it. There aren't politics
- 8:15Speaker 3: in this, there's only Donald Trump leading with meanness and cruelty,
- 8:19Speaker 3: and then a whole bunch of Republicans too cowardly to say, wait,
- 8:23Speaker 3: mister president, don't insult the Pope. I didn't.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I think Republicans are saying that all over the place.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Cowardly is knowing that Eric Swawell was involved allegedly in
- 8:35Speaker 2: rapes and sexual assaults, and the Democratic Party saying, gosh,
- 8:39Speaker 2: I hope he becomes governor. That's cowardly. The Pope started
- 8:47Speaker 2: the fight. Was it before or after the meeting with
- 8:50Speaker 2: David Oxerod. I don't know the Pope started this. Trump responded,
- 8:57Speaker 2: it should have been dropped right there. You're the ones
- 9:00Speaker 2: trying to keep the story going as if you're the
- 9:03Speaker 2: ones defending Catholics.
- 9:05Speaker 1: And I don't think even Catholics by that. I don't think.
- 9:11Speaker 2: This is just your new talking point of the day,
- 9:15Speaker 2: the same Democrat Catholics who are okay with abortion.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I'm not Catholic.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I'm not quite sure how Catholics square the circle on
- 9:25Speaker 2: this one. But I've got five microphones and no waiting.
- 9:29Speaker 1: You tell me
