- 0:01Speaker 1: Phrase your Friday baby running Kratz too. What's up Kratz,
- 0:05Speaker 1: You'll like this. I think I had the first ever
- 0:09Speaker 1: FT dream of mine, first time ever that I had
- 0:12Speaker 1: a dream and it was about FT and I was
- 0:15Speaker 1: at my apartment. It's a little hazy, but there was
- 0:18Speaker 1: like internet issues and then you had to take over
- 0:20Speaker 1: and they were like, it's fine, Kratz has it. He's
- 0:23Speaker 1: hosting the whole show.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I kid you not.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I couldn't watch it, so I was just screened off
- 0:31Speaker 1: and they're like, you're good, don't worry. Kratz is running it.
- 0:34Speaker 3: So was it a dream that turned into a nightmare?
- 0:37Speaker 3: Or was it a dream that turned into a dream.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I just love hearing you say nightmare.
- 0:42Speaker 2: So what is that word again? Don't say that? Oh
- 0:50Speaker 2: my god?
- 0:51Speaker 1: How they say nightmare in Philly?
- 0:53Speaker 2: Nightmre, mirror, nightre.
- 0:55Speaker 3: It's a nightmare. It's scary. Nightmares are scary.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Todd one day, Kratz host the whole show?
- 1:07Speaker 2: What do you think I think you would do?
- 1:09Speaker 3: Just fine.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I don't think it would be a nightmare.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I think I would need two beers with that nightmare.
- 1:18Speaker 3: And you could go to it, and you could go
- 1:20Speaker 3: to a tournament.
- 1:23Speaker 2: That's the real word tour.
- 1:26Speaker 3: In your tournament and use a cupon.
- 1:30Speaker 2: That's true too.
- 1:32Speaker 1: All right, before we get into biz, todd father first
- 1:35Speaker 1: show with us since Little League World Series, Great job
- 1:40Speaker 1: had it go?
- 1:41Speaker 4: It went well, man, I thought it was good. I mean,
- 1:44Speaker 4: the only the only thing was seventeen shutouts. The pitching
- 1:47Speaker 4: was absolutely tremendous. A lot of new faces got great recognition.
- 1:53Speaker 4: The team from Connecticut did awesome. I thought they had
- 1:56Speaker 4: a chance to make the finals with this team from
- 1:58Speaker 4: Nevada truly incredible run the first time ever making it
- 2:03Speaker 4: to the USA Championship. Let him known the World Series Championship.
- 2:07Speaker 4: They ran into a juggernaut. Le sin Saw was absolutely incredible.
- 2:14Speaker 4: He could throw up to eighty three miles an hour.
- 2:15Speaker 4: He threw eighty two miles an hour one pitch in
- 2:18Speaker 4: that last game. He didn't need to. He stayed seventy
- 2:21Speaker 4: five and that's just absolute fuzz. His hands were the
- 2:24Speaker 4: same size as his mind. I think Kratzy years would
- 2:26Speaker 4: be a little bigger because you got bigger hands.
- 2:29Speaker 2: But this kid was tremendous.
- 2:31Speaker 4: You know, they weren't the best hitting team, but you know,
- 2:33Speaker 4: literally when you got the best hitting team, our pitching team.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Good things are gonna happen.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Kid look dominant. Must have been the launch angles. Launch
- 2:41Speaker 3: angles have probably made it to little league Little league
- 2:45Speaker 3: coaching now, So I don't know offenses down. What's wrong
- 2:48Speaker 3: with these kids? Unbelievable. It can't hit eighty three miles
- 2:52Speaker 3: an hour from from forty five feet? Oh crazy, no chance.
- 3:00Speaker 1: One more question, in all seriousness, do you think that
- 3:04Speaker 1: teams are using cameras and analytics to help them pitch better?
- 3:13Speaker 4: I think these kids go to specific coaches and they
- 3:16Speaker 4: have all these mechanisms and what's the thing called where
- 3:21Speaker 4: you know it shows all the numbers on their cratzy
- 3:26Speaker 4: you mean like ah man, I forget what it's called.
- 3:28Speaker 4: But you like track man, rap soda all that at twelve.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Oh my god, at eight years old.
- 3:37Speaker 3: People aren't People don't even go to facility. Like if
- 3:39Speaker 3: you go to a facility and it doesn't have that,
- 3:41Speaker 3: kids are gonna be like this is boring. What are
- 3:44Speaker 3: we doing? Like why are we even here? Like they
- 3:47Speaker 3: want to see like every swing they're like, bang, what
- 3:50Speaker 3: is it?
- 3:51Speaker 2: What is it?
- 3:51Speaker 3: And they have like competitions in games. It's like a
- 3:53Speaker 3: video game for kids, and they throw balls and they're like,
- 3:56Speaker 3: what was it? WHOA, that's amazing.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it's It's truly incredible the gifts that these
- 4:03Speaker 4: kids have nowadays instead of what Crats and I did.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Get in the cage and take as many swings as
- 4:08Speaker 4: you can until they kick you out.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Pretty much, I didn't even have a I didn't even
- 4:12Speaker 3: matter a cage. I didn't have a cage. Oh it's
- 4:15Speaker 3: totally better because you learn it, you learn it, but
- 4:18Speaker 3: I didn't even have a cage. Our high school didn't
- 4:19Speaker 3: have a cage. I didn't have a cage at my house.
- 4:22Speaker 3: I saved up my money one time and I bought
- 4:25Speaker 3: a soft toss machine that I still have. I'll take
- 4:27Speaker 3: a picture of it and a net that I hung
- 4:30Speaker 3: from my mom's clothesline, and that's how I would hit.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I would hit into it, and the soft toss machine
- 4:35Speaker 3: it would like slowly drop a ball down in beak
- 4:38Speaker 3: and it would hit and I would hit it and
- 4:40Speaker 3: I would hit it because I got sick of hitting
- 4:41Speaker 3: off the tee. So I think it was like it
- 4:44Speaker 3: was like seventy two dollars or something. I saved up
- 4:46Speaker 3: my money and bought it. Still got it to this day.
- 4:49Speaker 1: The high speed cameras cost a little bit more than that.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I'm still a little bit tronic.
- 4:55Speaker 1: When I was watching, I was just like, I wonder
- 4:57Speaker 1: how much everything camera, why tech wise is helping these pitchers.
- 5:01Speaker 1: And there you go, clearly a ton. So we've hit
- 5:04Speaker 1: a point where pitching's dominating at the little league circuit.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Let's charge, Let's charge them. I mean we've been doing
- 5:15Speaker 1: this all week. Kyle Schwarber four home runs, not that
- 5:20Speaker 1: although we have had three of these this year. Nick Kurtz,
- 5:23Speaker 1: as well as Gino Suarez, just punishing the baseball. Schober
- 5:28Speaker 1: had a shot from five. His kryptonite is position players,
- 5:33Speaker 1: So if you're trying to get them out in the playoffs,
- 5:35Speaker 1: position players, just keep that in mind. As the Phillies
- 5:38Speaker 1: beat the crap out of the Braves, we're going to
- 5:39Speaker 1: go live to our Pennsylvania reporter Eric Kratz with more
- 5:43Speaker 1: on the Phillies being the team of the week, first
- 5:46Speaker 1: in a bad way, now in a great way.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Reporting live from Boston, the Philly reporter Eric Kratz sees
- 5:54Speaker 3: the ups and downs of the Phillies offense. I mean
- 5:57Speaker 3: it came out and just hammered. There's a lot of
- 6:00Speaker 3: guys that had a lot of good, good numbers against
- 6:03Speaker 3: cal Quantrill last night. I'm not saying he didn't have
- 6:05Speaker 3: a chance. I'm saying the Phillies got home, they got
- 6:09Speaker 3: boat raced in New York. And I just I think
- 6:13Speaker 3: that the Citizens Bank Ballpark fans just they hit different.
- 6:19Speaker 3: They really do. And I know people are gonna be like,
- 6:21Speaker 3: oh man, well what about this place. Well, but there's
- 6:23Speaker 3: other places that are great. I'm saying that this group
- 6:26Speaker 3: of players, including Kyle Schwarber, feeds off of this this
- 6:31Speaker 3: fan base, He feeds off of this stadium. And to
- 6:34Speaker 3: do something like this historic. The number that's crazy to
- 6:38Speaker 3: me is twenty one people have ever done it in
- 6:40Speaker 3: Big League history. Three have done it this year. Now,
- 6:45Speaker 3: this was a laugher. Kurtz. His game was a laugher.
- 6:49Speaker 3: The one that Suarez dead earlier this year was they
- 6:52Speaker 3: needed every one of those four home runs. But we
- 6:55Speaker 3: were driving in the car and we had actually hit
- 6:56Speaker 3: traffic last night and somebody texted me that he has
- 7:01Speaker 3: four home runs and we were stopped dead in traffic
- 7:04Speaker 3: on eighty four, which, by the way, New England traffic sucks.
- 7:07Speaker 3: But I got to see him face Videl Vidal Bruhan,
- 7:13Speaker 3: and I really thought he was gonna do it. I
- 7:16Speaker 3: obviously have been brutal with my locks this year, but
- 7:18Speaker 3: in the moment, I'm like, oh my gosh, this is it.
- 7:21Speaker 3: How Schwarver is gonna be the only person ever to
- 7:24Speaker 3: hit five home runs? And he popped it up. Ha.
- 7:26Speaker 3: It was awesome to watch, though.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, he is having a ridiculous year, godfather,
- 7:32Speaker 1: and this is his best year ever in his mid thirties.
- 7:36Speaker 3: In his walk year, in his walk yere.
- 7:40Speaker 4: He is putting up some video game numbers that you know,
- 7:44Speaker 4: when it comes to home runs and home runs and games,
- 7:47Speaker 4: he's taking that city by storm. I gotta be honest
- 7:49Speaker 4: with you. He is fun to watch. He's built for Philadelphia.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Cratzy said it too. He had an easy, probably the
- 7:56Speaker 4: easiest chance to get that fifth home run, and he
- 7:59Speaker 4: said himself, He's like, I wish I wasn't trying to
- 8:01Speaker 4: hit a home run.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Easiest thing he could have got a single.
- 8:04Speaker 4: I don't know, the guy's got forty nine home runs.
- 8:08Speaker 4: You know, if he does that every day crowds, he
- 8:11Speaker 4: might have ninety home runs. I think that'd be pretty cool.
- 8:13Speaker 4: But it's not going to happen. He is, you know,
- 8:16Speaker 4: all joking aside. This is a guy that every team
- 8:19Speaker 4: is going to want, and would want and should want.
- 8:23Speaker 4: He is a guy that will bat first, he'll bat fourth,
- 8:26Speaker 4: he'll bat any position, and he is a leader, and
- 8:29Speaker 4: he brings that pain every day to the ballpark. And
- 8:32Speaker 4: I think it's truly incredible. I love him, absolutely love him.
- 8:35Speaker 3: He stepped in. He stepped in as a leader, exactly
- 8:37Speaker 3: what she said Todd because I think, you know, they
- 8:39Speaker 3: signed Bryce Harper, and I don't necessarily think every time
- 8:42Speaker 3: he signed a superstar that they're the leader in the clubhouse.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I think there's too much on their plate, and I
- 8:48Speaker 3: think Kyle Schwoba has taken that. He kind of helped.
- 8:50Speaker 3: He kind of helped along with Reese Hoskins when he
- 8:53Speaker 3: first came here, then Reese left, and I don't think
- 8:56Speaker 3: he ever stepped on Reese's toes in that way. I
- 8:58Speaker 3: think it was like, hey, I can help, I have
- 9:00Speaker 3: this expertise. He's just a guy that everybody wants to follow,
- 9:04Speaker 3: like he's he's the dude. The thing that he's improved
- 9:07Speaker 3: this year. His batting average is up, his strikeout percentages down,
- 9:12Speaker 3: he's doing his damage against lefties. I think he has
- 9:16Speaker 3: the most home runs versus lefty relievers this year in
- 9:20Speaker 3: Major League Baseball. Before it was like, oh, just stack
- 9:23Speaker 3: your team with lefties, bring him in and he can't
- 9:25Speaker 3: do jack against him. He's got another one last night,
- 9:29Speaker 3: and it's it's awesome to see, especially since he's a
- 9:34Speaker 3: guy who's going to free agency. We don't know, we
- 9:37Speaker 3: don't know what free agency looks like for a essentially
- 9:41Speaker 3: only DH. He's played a few games and left, I
- 9:43Speaker 3: think like eight or nine games and left. But it'll
- 9:45Speaker 3: be exciting to see because we saw Pete Alonso not
- 9:48Speaker 3: have a great year last year and the market kind
- 9:51Speaker 3: of hurt him. I'll be so interested to see what
- 9:54Speaker 3: happens here because he really he looks like a twenty
- 9:59Speaker 3: five to thirty million dollars a year d H. Some
- 10:02Speaker 3: teams are just automatically going to be out on that,
- 10:05Speaker 3: and he is. He is essential in Philly.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Next year will be his age thirty three season. That's
- 10:16Speaker 1: a factor too. But wait, I want to spend a
- 10:18Speaker 1: couple of minutes here before we get to Kenny ballgame,
- 10:20Speaker 1: and we'll get his take on this. Let's cw the
- 10:22Speaker 1: Kevin Pillar tweet from last night and our buddy in
- 10:26Speaker 1: the ft team, he said, need to start talking about
- 10:29Speaker 1: this man for National League MVP now. The way I
- 10:33Speaker 1: look at it, many of the younger writers just look
- 10:37Speaker 1: at all thing called war and on the Fangrafts War list,
- 10:41Speaker 1: Kyle Schwarber is, does anyone want to guess where he
- 10:44Speaker 1: is placement wise.
- 10:48Speaker 3: In all baseball towards his number.
- 10:51Speaker 1: In all of baseball? Where he's place.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Fifteenth, twentieth the way you're talking, Scott, I feel like
- 11:01Speaker 4: it's not that good of a number.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I'm gonna say thirty eight.
- 11:04Speaker 1: You had it first. He's nineteen. You said twenty. I'll
- 11:07Speaker 1: take that first hand.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I got nervous. I got nervous.
- 11:10Speaker 1: No, I know, I didn't want to. I poker faced it.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I just wanted to stay cool. But yeah, he's got
- 11:15Speaker 1: four and a half war. There's tons of NL players
- 11:18Speaker 1: ahead of him, including Shoeo Tani, who's third in all
- 11:20Speaker 1: of baseball at Fangrafts War with a seven point one number.
- 11:24Speaker 1: So when Polar puts that out, you get a lot
- 11:25Speaker 1: of the Dodger fans are playing like, oh that's cute,
- 11:28Speaker 1: Like did you see Otani pitch the other day too,
- 11:31Speaker 1: even though Tani's obviously at DH as well, he's pitching,
- 11:35Speaker 1: and you know, you don't want to lose sight of
- 11:38Speaker 1: what he's doing and how different it is from everyone
- 11:40Speaker 1: else and the fatigue of that. But Trey Turner has
- 11:43Speaker 1: a five point eight war. He's ahead of Kyle Schuberkratz
- 11:47Speaker 1: Perdomo on the Diamondbacks and Corbyn Carol on the Diamondbacks,
- 11:51Speaker 1: Pete Crow, Armstrong, Fernando Tatis, Christopher Sanchez. I'm not gonna
- 11:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna skip the pitchers because I think that's a
- 11:56Speaker 1: different world. But Lynn Dor Kyle Tucker all ahead of
- 12:00Speaker 1: Kyle schober By fan grafts war. Do you think that
- 12:04Speaker 1: he should be a candidate for the top spop Cose
- 12:07Speaker 1: he's gonna get votes, but should he win the award?
- 12:11Speaker 3: Uh? Is it two thousand and six? Is it two
- 12:14Speaker 3: thousand and eight? Then maybe yeah, But again we had
- 12:18Speaker 3: this argument before when when the players voted Ronald Acunya
- 12:22Speaker 3: the best player in baseball, it's Sho Heo Tani. Unfortunately
- 12:26Speaker 3: for everybody else the MVP award because you know, unless
- 12:30Speaker 3: they make up another new rule for show, hey, he's
- 12:33Speaker 3: gonna win it. He should win it. He's the most
- 12:35Speaker 3: valuable player as far as value goes. Because we start
- 12:39Speaker 3: talking about value, y is he the most valuable player
- 12:42Speaker 3: of the Phillies team right now? Yes, but he's not
- 12:46Speaker 3: more valuable than what show Hay is in the game
- 12:48Speaker 3: of baseball because he pitches and hits. Sorry, it's just
- 12:52Speaker 3: it will become one day. I don't know if we'll
- 12:54Speaker 3: be alive. It'll be called the show Hey Otani award.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Wow, Okay, I think we'll be alive for it.
- 13:02Speaker 2: We got a second, so I can go on this
- 13:04Speaker 2: for a second or yeah. Yeah, So I wrote down
- 13:08Speaker 2: all I wrote down.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Before I got on here, some significant stats here, and
- 13:13Speaker 4: I compared Swarve with o'tana. You know, average two forty
- 13:15Speaker 4: eight swar but two seventy eight Otani. Okay, I'm not
- 13:18Speaker 4: the biggest on average, but I'm also realistic that, you know,
- 13:22Speaker 4: to forty eight is probably not going to cut it
- 13:24Speaker 4: for an MVP in my opinion. And then I looked
- 13:27Speaker 4: at RBIs and home runs. Swarber's beating him significantly in
- 13:33Speaker 4: RBIs by about thirty four RBIs if my math is right,
- 13:38Speaker 4: I mean, that's that's a big number. For me, Uh,
- 13:41Speaker 4: he's up four in home runs. I mean that's pretty close,
- 13:44Speaker 4: and then Otani pretty much beats him on everything on
- 13:47Speaker 4: base percentage, you know, slug ops runs by you know
- 13:52Speaker 4: about thirty and change. So if we're going on numbers alone,
- 13:55Speaker 4: I think Otani still is that guy. But some significant
- 14:00Speaker 4: stats like RBI's is big for me. I think that
- 14:03Speaker 4: still has to play. So I think you still have
- 14:05Speaker 4: to put Swarbur in that conversation for sure.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Krats. If you need to pay rent for your apartment
- 14:14Speaker 1: and you're not getting anything for it, then you probably
- 14:16Speaker 1: haven't heard of Built.
- 14:19Speaker 3: You have to pay rent every single month, why not
- 14:21Speaker 3: get some points that you can redeem for other things
- 14:24Speaker 3: that are a lot more fun than paying rent, like flights, hotels,
- 14:27Speaker 3: uber rides.
- 14:29Speaker 1: That's right, and it doesn't stop there. Built is about
- 14:32Speaker 1: making your entire neighborhood more rewarding. You can dine at
- 14:35Speaker 1: your favorite local restaurants, and you can earn additional points
- 14:38Speaker 1: with VIP treatment at certain fitness studios, and you can
- 14:42Speaker 1: also enjoy exclusive experiences that are just for Built members.
- 14:45Speaker 1: They announce them every month. Built is turning a monthly
- 14:48Speaker 1: expense into an opportunity to earn rewards and discover the
- 14:51Speaker 1: best that your neighborhood has to offer. Your rent is
- 14:54Speaker 1: finally working for you, and you can earn points on
- 14:56Speaker 1: rent and around your neighborhood wherever you call home by
- 14:59Speaker 1: going to built dot com slash foul that's j O
- 15:03Speaker 1: I n b I lt dot com slash f o
- 15:05Speaker 1: u L. Make sure to use our ur L so
- 15:07Speaker 1: they know that FT sent you get after it. Hey,
- 15:13Speaker 1: Francisco Alvarez broke his pinky on a hip Bi pitch,
- 15:16Speaker 1: so he's hopeful he's gonna play again. That sucks, though, Kratz.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I mean, he's got problems now with both hands. He
- 15:22Speaker 1: is getting beat up. You're rehabbing it. Then you're hit
- 15:26Speaker 1: by a pitch in the minors.
- 15:28Speaker 3: I don't know if it was a hip by pitch
- 15:30Speaker 3: or if it was a Oh, if it was a
- 15:32Speaker 3: foul ball, I think it was. I think it was
- 15:34Speaker 3: a foul ball when he was catching. But either way,
- 15:37Speaker 3: dang it, man, dang it, because this Mets team is
- 15:41Speaker 3: starting to get that momentum without him in there. I
- 15:45Speaker 3: think he brings something to this team that they're now
- 15:47Speaker 3: going to be out another It's amazing to me that
- 15:50Speaker 3: broken pinky is like two to four weeks. It feels
- 15:53Speaker 3: like it should be way longer, but still like hand
- 15:56Speaker 3: issues when you're swinging todd you are a good hitter.
- 15:59Speaker 3: A nobody wants that.
- 16:01Speaker 4: No, and I think to make it short and sweet.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Dusty Baker always told me the two things you have
- 16:07Speaker 4: to worry about in baseball are your hands and your feet.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Everything else you can kind of find a way to
- 16:12Speaker 4: get through for the most part, but make sure those
- 16:14Speaker 4: hands and feet are okay.
- 16:15Speaker 2: And this guy I.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Smiled because you just think of your pinky being this
- 16:19Speaker 4: little finger, then it causes a lot of problems.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Yeah, Anthony Tacoma, Yeah, exactly. Doctor Evil has other thoughts.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Anthony Dicomo covers. The team said, the hope is that
- 16:30Speaker 1: he can play in two to three days, given that
- 16:31Speaker 1: it's a small fracture of the pinky. But it's a
- 16:33Speaker 1: broken bone, not ideal. And he was out playing catch yesterday,
- 16:36Speaker 1: but he had a trainer catching the ball for you.
- 16:39Speaker 3: It's a big deal. It's a big deal if you
- 16:42Speaker 3: can't frame. If you can't frame the ball, now you're
- 16:45Speaker 3: not catching it squarely. It affects everything and it drains
- 16:49Speaker 3: on you. When your hand hurts catching, it sucks. All good.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Hey, we have some ft breaking news. This. According to
- 17:02Speaker 1: Jeff Passing, the Boston Red Sox released veteran right handed
- 17:06Speaker 1: Walker Boehler, So he is cut. I believe that another
- 17:11Speaker 1: team can pick him up if they want him in
- 17:14Speaker 1: time to put him on a roster. That could turn
- 17:17Speaker 1: into an October appearance for Walker Buehler. But it's been
- 17:20Speaker 1: a rough year. Are you surprised about this one? Top father?
- 17:24Speaker 4: Yeah, just because of the name alone. I mean, this guy,
- 17:28Speaker 4: you know, pitching wise came in and won a World Series.
- 17:30Speaker 4: I mean, it doesn't seem too long ago, right, It's
- 17:33Speaker 4: just I don't I mean, listen, wow, Yeah, I mean,
- 17:39Speaker 4: I know a bunch of teams I could take a
- 17:41Speaker 4: picture like this in their caliber and just bring them
- 17:43Speaker 4: in for the rest of the year. This one, you know,
- 17:46Speaker 4: I'd like to read more into this and understand why
- 17:48Speaker 4: you know this seven and seven you know, you know,
- 17:51Speaker 4: like a one point negative war, all right, I don't know,
- 17:55Speaker 4: I don't know. I'm very confused. I know the Red
- 17:57Speaker 4: Sox are doing really well. It's just one of those
- 18:00Speaker 4: scenarios where I would love to hear about you know
- 18:02Speaker 4: what the what else?
- 18:03Speaker 3: Is going on.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Yeah, they bumped him the rotation. I mean the Red
- 18:07Speaker 1: Sox are looking for another starter, which they hope to
- 18:10Speaker 1: be Peyton Toley. Right, they've got their big three right now,
- 18:13Speaker 1: absolutely thriving with Crochet. What a pickup for them this offseason.
- 18:18Speaker 1: And then Brian Bao has really found his form. Same
- 18:20Speaker 1: with Lucas Giolito, Kratz. You know, it's funny with Bueller.
- 18:26Speaker 1: He's very straightforward. So he's like, I get it. I
- 18:28Speaker 1: mean I'm paraphrasing here, I know why I was bumped
- 18:30Speaker 1: out of the rotation. And then of course we'll get
- 18:32Speaker 1: word from him on this next move from Boston after
- 18:34Speaker 1: a one year contract. His regular season numbers are almost
- 18:37Speaker 1: identical from a run prevention standpoint two last year, and
- 18:41Speaker 1: then all of a sudden in the postseason he looked different.
- 18:45Speaker 3: I mean, that's a it's a bold move by the Socks.
- 18:49Speaker 3: They feel like they're in a strong position to be
- 18:51Speaker 3: able to let this to be able, let this happen,
- 18:55Speaker 3: you know what. Just like Todd said, you gotta be
- 18:58Speaker 3: there to see kind of more more than just his
- 19:02Speaker 3: stat line. His stat line is not very good, and
- 19:04Speaker 3: it's an example of when guys have surgery. They don't
- 19:09Speaker 3: always come back to be the guy they were before.
- 19:13Speaker 3: A lot of the time, yes, but not always. And
- 19:15Speaker 3: he hasn't consistently held his velocity, hasn't consistently been able
- 19:21Speaker 3: to shape his breaking ball. But in the playoffs last year,
- 19:25Speaker 3: everybody remembers how he finished out the game and he
- 19:27Speaker 3: threw you know, he threw the curveball to finish out
- 19:30Speaker 3: the World Series. And I think he had thrown like
- 19:32Speaker 3: one or two other times. But the start before he
- 19:35Speaker 3: had a stinker two starts before, and then he came
- 19:38Speaker 3: out and he had a great start where he was
- 19:40Speaker 3: punching tickets. So to me, I bet he's thrown out
- 19:45Speaker 3: of the bullpen for the Dodgers by the time, by
- 19:47Speaker 3: the time postseason rolls around.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Wow, wow, Hey, remember last year they have to game
- 19:53Speaker 1: three NLCS against the Mets. At the command was tight,
- 19:57Speaker 1: and then I was looking back, best drop ever on
- 19:59Speaker 1: his knuckle curve, most sweep right, most horizontal movement ever
- 20:05Speaker 1: on his sweeper, most fade on the sinker. Spin rate
- 20:10Speaker 1: was the highest it had been some sticky stuff enforcement,
- 20:12Speaker 1: which you know, you look at that time period a
- 20:14Speaker 1: few years ago, it's different. He finished the playoff run
- 20:17Speaker 1: with thirteen consecutive scoreless innings, including the final three outs
- 20:22Speaker 1: of the World Series. Again, if you're a Boston friend
- 20:25Speaker 1: right now and you're watching this and you've been watching
- 20:27Speaker 1: him perform all year and not perform at a nice level,
- 20:30Speaker 1: a five and a half is cra just like the
- 20:31Speaker 1: Dodgers watched from him last year, Like see, we've got
- 20:34Speaker 1: our big boy prospect coming up, Peyton Pulley, We've got
- 20:37Speaker 1: a big three right now, and maybe may finds it
- 20:39Speaker 1: a little bit for us. We're good. But I'm with you,
- 20:42Speaker 1: Todd father. I love the good storyline, and I hope
- 20:45Speaker 1: that he gets scooped up by another team and we
- 20:48Speaker 1: get playoff Walker Buehler, because I mean, he'll say like,
- 20:51Speaker 1: I'm missing that. Have you behind my pitches last year?
- 20:55Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden he found it?
- 20:59Speaker 4: He did, He did for sure, So again, what have
- 21:03Speaker 4: you done for me lately? Attitude? I guess if that's
- 21:05Speaker 4: the case, then yeah he should be gone. But to
- 21:08Speaker 4: know the caliber of picture he is, he still got
- 21:11Speaker 4: a lot left in the tech.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Scott was Scott in? Were you insinuating that it got
- 21:17Speaker 3: a little stickier as the postseason went on? Were you
- 21:21Speaker 3: insinuating that the jump in spin rate the jump in movements,
- 21:28Speaker 3: Scott Braun, you are devious.
- 21:32Speaker 1: On a Friday, I just dropped things on the table.
- 21:35Speaker 1: This is my job all day. I just dropped things
- 21:37Speaker 1: like this, and then I just see what everyone picks up.
- 21:40Speaker 1: And Ira Kratz has actually mised her conspiracy theory.
- 21:42Speaker 3: So I just dropped it.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I truly don't know. Of course I don't know, but
- 21:47Speaker 1: I also just like to say, hey, here's what the
- 21:49Speaker 1: statistics are reading. What do you think.
- 21:53Speaker 3: My thought, yeah, my thought is he did a great
- 21:58Speaker 3: job of making a positive adjustment for himself in his
- 22:01Speaker 3: last thirteen innings. But I also don't want to escape
- 22:05Speaker 3: the fact that because we harp on the Pirates being cheap,
- 22:09Speaker 3: Walker Bueller is making twenty one point zero five million
- 22:13Speaker 3: this year. You break that down for September. Now, I
- 22:18Speaker 3: know he's released. I know he's released. It's not a
- 22:20Speaker 3: waiver dump, but there's some cash there that maybe they're
- 22:25Speaker 3: gonna think again about how they spend their money in
- 22:29Speaker 3: the offseason instead of going twenty one million dollars for
- 22:33Speaker 3: a I hope it works out kind of picture. Solidify it,
- 22:38Speaker 3: go and take do what it takes to get Corbin
- 22:41Speaker 3: Burns to not sign with the Diamondbacks. I know he
- 22:44Speaker 3: got hurt, but do what it takes to put another
- 22:48Speaker 3: monster piece in this rotation to pair with Crochet. He's
- 22:52Speaker 3: gonna be there for a long time.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I remember I watched one game start recently and I
- 22:58Speaker 1: look back. I found it on the eighth of August
- 23:00Speaker 1: where he shut down the Padres and it's the post
- 23:03Speaker 1: trade deadline Padres. Six innings, four hits, no runs, two walks,
- 23:07Speaker 1: four strikeouts, nine ground balls, ninety six pitches. So sometimes
- 23:13Speaker 1: guys get cut right and they'll have these kind of
- 23:15Speaker 1: numbers on the season, and then you look at the
- 23:17Speaker 1: recent numbers over the past couple months and you're like,
- 23:19Speaker 1: I can't find a good outing results wise, there's something here. Yeah,
- 23:23Speaker 1: Dodgers fans are losing their mind right now, at least
- 23:26Speaker 1: some of them, because many of them probably haven't been
- 23:30Speaker 1: watching Walker Buehler this year. Right, we do have somewhat
- 23:34Speaker 1: of a regional sport with the way that teams consume
- 23:36Speaker 1: or with the way that fans consume their team's games. Right, Like,
- 23:39Speaker 1: you might listen to FT during the day, but then
- 23:43Speaker 1: if you've got the red Sox playing and then you're worried.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Oh well, if you're on the West Coast, you might
- 23:47Speaker 1: still be at work, and then you're watching your Dodgers
- 23:49Speaker 1: at night, you might not see much of Walker Bueller.
- 23:51Speaker 1: So you're like, hey, those are the same numbers as
- 23:53Speaker 1: last year. Let's give it a shot.
- 23:56Speaker 3: I'm interested. I'm interested to see what happens now because
- 23:59Speaker 3: he was released. He was released. This isn't waiver dump.
- 24:03Speaker 3: The Red Sox are paying the entirety of the rest
- 24:06Speaker 3: of his salary. I'm interested to see because there's no motivation.
- 24:10Speaker 3: No team is going to pay him more than the
- 24:13Speaker 3: minimum for the month of September. I'm interested to see
- 24:17Speaker 3: where he chooses to go and how that like not
- 24:22Speaker 3: courting process, but like how that process goes, Like he
- 24:26Speaker 3: essentially gets to choose from all the teams that want
- 24:29Speaker 3: to want him to pitch because they're all going to
- 24:32Speaker 3: pay him the exact same.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Oh, He's going wherever he feels like there's a team
- 24:39Speaker 1: that can help get him right.
- 24:42Speaker 3: I'm interested. Spota, spota.
- 24:46Speaker 2: That's it.
- 24:48Speaker 4: There's no much more. There's no more to say really
- 24:50Speaker 4: about it. It's just just one of those things where
- 24:53Speaker 4: as you get older. It's like, you know, a s
- 24:55Speaker 4: Kratz and I got older, and the opportunities like you
- 24:57Speaker 4: want to be on a winning ball club too as well.
- 24:59Speaker 4: So oh it's it's tough. You want to play and
- 25:03Speaker 4: then you get in situations. Well, well let's see who
- 25:06Speaker 4: wants me first, and then you go from there.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Yankees, wouldn't that be great? What do you think?
- 25:17Speaker 2: I mean?
- 25:18Speaker 3: I'd love to see it. I'm looking up to see
- 25:19Speaker 3: who he dealt against this year and see if because
- 25:24Speaker 3: there's a lot of recency bias. He dealt against the Phillies,
- 25:28Speaker 3: he deal against the Padres, he dealt against.
- 25:33Speaker 2: The Rays.
- 25:33Speaker 1: But you figure he wants to try and go to
- 25:36Speaker 1: a team where he can pitch in October and reprove himself.
- 25:39Speaker 1: That's what he did. I mean here in this contract
- 25:41Speaker 1: based on October. Before October, you're looking at Walker Deeeler
- 25:45Speaker 1: and you're like, he's gonna get a small deal. He's
- 25:47Speaker 1: going to get a one year contract. But he was
- 25:49Speaker 1: gonna get a one year contract at a much lower rate.
- 25:51Speaker 1: And remember the Dodgers also didn't throw the qualifying off
- 25:54Speaker 1: or his way. The Dodgers were like, hey, we want
- 25:57Speaker 1: you to be in a good spot. That's something that
- 25:59Speaker 1: many team games canon won't do, and maybe they were
- 26:03Speaker 1: thinking about if that was going to end up being
- 26:06Speaker 1: the number, and you know he was going to take it.
- 26:09Speaker 1: So they said, hey, no qualifying offer, go out there
- 26:11Speaker 1: to the world, don't be attached to a camp pick
- 26:15Speaker 1: and selected.
- 26:17Speaker 3: They did him a solid.
- 26:18Speaker 1: It was pro, it was pro. So yeah, I'm with
- 26:23Speaker 1: you here, I'm looking at where else he thrived this year.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Pitch well against He's pitched well against not not many.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Yankees and Padres. But I mean for me, it's more
- 26:38Speaker 1: sorry Phillies and Padres. Who needs him?
- 26:41Speaker 3: Right?
- 26:42Speaker 1: Who's interested in picking up a guy that can be
- 26:46Speaker 1: a fifth starter for you and maybe catch fire in
- 26:49Speaker 1: the postseason?
- 26:50Speaker 3: Cubs, it's a good name.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I like that too. That's a good name. Someone's gonna
- 27:02Speaker 1: do it, so we'll see it's a league minimum guy
- 27:04Speaker 1: at this point. Red Sox eat the money anyway. Breaking news,
- 27:07Speaker 1: Walker Buehler cut by the Boston Red Sox. Boston's in
- 27:10Speaker 1: a good spot. I mean, this was the part of
- 27:12Speaker 1: the team that you were probably concerned about, was do
- 27:15Speaker 1: they have the pitching. They have the pitching right now,
- 27:18Speaker 1: and if you believe in all these prospects that are
- 27:20Speaker 1: coming up right now and thriving. Then they might have
- 27:23Speaker 1: just added themselves another guy who can pitch big boy
- 27:25Speaker 1: innings for them in October and they looked at the
- 27:27Speaker 1: roster Alex Korra. Kratz is pretty decisive and he has
- 27:33Speaker 1: more control of the roster than I think most managers do.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Would you agree with that?
- 27:40Speaker 3: I would think so yes. I mean that would be
- 27:43Speaker 3: my initial read from what you see out there, because
- 27:49Speaker 3: I think he kind of has that GM mentality too,
- 27:52Speaker 3: So I think there's conversation. If there's somebody has more,
- 27:56Speaker 3: it would be his cohort in Houston. I think A J.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Hinch probably has more. But okay, I think I think
- 28:02Speaker 3: Klora is up there for sure.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Yeah, decision has been made. Anyway, let us know if
- 28:07Speaker 1: you're looking at this afterward, or if you're watching this
- 28:09Speaker 1: lab right now, where you think he could end up
- 28:12Speaker 1: and if you think he can find it again like
- 28:13Speaker 1: he did last October. OKAKP, this is your first arena
- 28:20Speaker 1: club experience. We're going to open a slab pack together.
- 28:23Speaker 1: So first off, we're gonna buy one of those twenty
- 28:25Speaker 1: five dollars slab packs and we get to see what
- 28:27Speaker 1: is in the pack. There it is the Grail, which
- 28:30Speaker 1: is the best card in the pack and worth the most.
- 28:34Speaker 1: There are some other cards that we're chasing, and you
- 28:35Speaker 1: can see the entire lineup so that you know what
- 28:37Speaker 1: you're in the running for. There's the Yamamoto signed card.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Now let's open up our pack and see how we do.
- 28:46Speaker 1: We have ourselves a really cool graphic and then a
- 28:51Speaker 1: show Heo Tani fifty to fifty card from last year.
- 28:56Speaker 1: What do you want to do? Should we sell it
- 28:57Speaker 1: right back to them for sixteen or should we keep it?
- 29:00Speaker 2: You should give it to me.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I'll get good answer. Fine, I will give it to you.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Since the Blue Jays didn't get o tany you can
- 29:07Speaker 1: get this fifty to fifty card instead. Use the code
- 29:10Speaker 1: foul foul to get yourself twenty percent off your first
- 29:13Speaker 1: slab pack or card purchase. Yes, you get to keep
- 29:15Speaker 1: that card if you want it. They send it to
- 29:17Speaker 1: you foul at Arena Club dot com slash foul. The
- 29:23Speaker 1: Pirates have placed ikf on outright waivers. He can continue
- 29:27Speaker 1: playing for the Pirates throughout the processed playoff. Teams have
- 29:30Speaker 1: until the rest of the weekend to claim him if
- 29:31Speaker 1: they want him for the postseason?
- 29:34Speaker 3: Krats, what do we call that dump deadline? How did
- 29:37Speaker 3: we forget that? We even talked about the Pirates yesterday?
- 29:40Speaker 3: We said Andrew he and he's already on the waiver wire.
- 29:44Speaker 3: How is Tommy fam not on the waiver wire? And
- 29:46Speaker 3: then we completely forgot about a guy who can play
- 29:50Speaker 3: four big league positions at above average level. Of course
- 29:54Speaker 3: he's gonna get picked up.
- 29:57Speaker 1: And of course he's eighty one played appearances, shy a
- 30:00Speaker 1: two hundred and fifty thousand dollars roster bonus. He of
- 30:05Speaker 1: course has performance incentives tied to his deal. Todd father
- 30:09Speaker 1: for me at this point though, I mean, I know
- 30:11Speaker 1: he got moved over there, but don't do performance bonuses
- 30:15Speaker 1: if you're gonna be with the Pirates. Just know that
- 30:17Speaker 1: as a free agent. What Kratz, what are we missing?
- 30:19Speaker 3: Oh no, no, just two years in a row. Pirates
- 30:22Speaker 3: did this again last year. But don't worry about They're
- 30:24Speaker 3: definitely trying to put the best team out there. Pirates fans.
- 30:26Speaker 1: They did this to ikf last year. Remember they put
- 30:29Speaker 1: him in that super awkward spot. They're like, oh, we
- 30:32Speaker 1: can put you back in if you want to screw
- 30:34Speaker 1: over this other player that we now put in front
- 30:36Speaker 1: of you.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Yes, and then he plays it all year this year,
- 30:40Speaker 3: so it happens to him two years in a row.
- 30:43Speaker 3: And they cut rowdy last year also, so it's not
- 30:46Speaker 3: just two times. They've done it three times that we.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Know of.
- 30:53Speaker 4: Balloney man, don't if I'm a player, no more incentive.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Just pay me the extra money, then go after the
- 30:59Speaker 4: extra bag.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 31:01Speaker 3: They won't Pirates won't sign you. Then good that you
- 31:06Speaker 3: know that, Todd, they cut you.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Better than box scores. First off, let's just do a
- 31:13Speaker 1: shout out to Taylor Rashie, who, after six minor league
- 31:18Speaker 1: seasons and a serious injury, made his major league debut
- 31:23Speaker 1: yesterday afternoon at twenty nine years old. Three scoreless innings
- 31:26Speaker 1: picked up to save Diamondbacks beat the Brewers again. Brewers
- 31:29Speaker 1: an old funk, but that's okay, not a crazy funk.
- 31:31Speaker 1: They just were on a ridiculous run. But krats, this
- 31:36Speaker 1: is an e K special right here for the congrats
- 31:40Speaker 1: to a guy who has persevered, gone through adversity, done
- 31:44Speaker 1: the whole deal just to make it to this moment.
- 31:46Speaker 1: You know what this is like?
- 31:48Speaker 3: It's so awesome. I hope he was able to soak
- 31:51Speaker 3: it in decently long out outing that they put him
- 31:54Speaker 3: out there for. But I hope he was able to
- 31:57Speaker 3: soak it in. I hope he didn't. Nothing got in
- 31:59Speaker 3: the way of like enjoying it, because stuff can really
- 32:03Speaker 3: go fast as much as you're like, man, I had
- 32:04Speaker 3: six he had six years to like prepare for this moment,
- 32:08Speaker 3: Like it goes fast. I had, however many years. I
- 32:11Speaker 3: had eight or nine years to prepare for it. And
- 32:13Speaker 3: when you get caught up, you're like, oh, I gotta
- 32:16Speaker 3: do this, I gotta do that, I gotta do you know,
- 32:17Speaker 3: I gotta be here.
- 32:18Speaker 2: You know.
- 32:19Speaker 3: It's it's such an awesome moment for him. I hope
- 32:22Speaker 3: he got to really enjoy it. And the part where
- 32:25Speaker 3: you know, the injuries or injury, the serious injury he
- 32:29Speaker 3: had a he had to overcome that. That's a level
- 32:32Speaker 3: I don't understand, like that is really really tough. So
- 32:35Speaker 3: it has to feel fulfilling for him.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Resilient, resilient, just keep going.
- 32:42Speaker 4: It's just one of those stories, just like Krats had
- 32:44Speaker 4: and so many other guys, just the battle of day
- 32:48Speaker 4: in and day out, grind of being in the minor leagues,
- 32:50Speaker 4: with injuries, not seeing your family, everything plays a part
- 32:54Speaker 4: in it. And for that day for him, I'm sure
- 32:58Speaker 4: he went home, sat on his you know, his hotel.
- 33:00Speaker 4: Ben was like, wow, it was all worth it. So
- 33:03Speaker 4: congratulations to him. Three scoolless innings and got to save
- 33:08Speaker 4: get that scorecard, big dollar hanging up in your house.
- 33:10Speaker 2: You well deserve.
- 33:12Speaker 1: There you go. All right, Let's get to the New
- 33:15Speaker 1: York Mets, who fell to the Marlins after the big
- 33:18Speaker 1: sweep of the Phillies. The one down spot with the
- 33:21Speaker 1: Mets even in that Phillies series was Ryan Helsley continuing
- 33:26Speaker 1: to struggle. And this just came out from Anthony to
- 33:28Speaker 1: Como covering the team that Mets officials believe he is
- 33:31Speaker 1: tipping pitches and the frustration level is high for him
- 33:35Speaker 1: right now. They've been aware of the issue for weeks,
- 33:37Speaker 1: but it's still a problem as they think that, you know,
- 33:42Speaker 1: hitters are getting really good swings on fastballs and that
- 33:45Speaker 1: there are really good takes on his sliders. In the
- 33:49Speaker 1: story here from Dacomo, he said they identified the issue
- 33:52Speaker 1: as a little tick the right hander makes with his
- 33:55Speaker 1: arms when coming set. That arm position changes based on
- 33:57Speaker 1: whether Helsley's throwing a fastball or which quote makes it
- 34:01Speaker 1: a whole lot easier to hit? And then here's the
- 34:03Speaker 1: quote Crafts from Helsley. He said, I'm not trying to
- 34:05Speaker 1: sound arrogant or anything, but I feel like my stuff's
- 34:07Speaker 1: too good to get hit around as consistently as it
- 34:09Speaker 1: has since I've been here. We've played mostly teams in
- 34:12Speaker 1: the hunt, and a lot of teams nowadays will have
- 34:14Speaker 1: guys who look specifically for those things. It's pretty glaring
- 34:17Speaker 1: and obvious when I'm doing it. I mean, they have
- 34:20Speaker 1: been smashing him. I mean he's given it more than
- 34:22Speaker 1: a run an inning right now in his first i
- 34:24Speaker 1: think ten appearances with the Mets.
- 34:29Speaker 3: He's also been throwing less strikes. His walk rate is
- 34:35Speaker 3: definitely up, but he's throwing less strikes early in account
- 34:38Speaker 3: than he ever did at any point in his Cardinal's career.
- 34:42Speaker 3: He didn't just pick up a tick when he went
- 34:45Speaker 3: to New York. He didn't just pick up a tick
- 34:46Speaker 3: because now he's not throwing in the ninth inning and
- 34:48Speaker 3: he doesn't have his walkout music like his The way
- 34:53Speaker 3: he's attacking hitters, whether it's a mindset because he's throwing
- 34:58Speaker 3: in a seventh or eighth inning, whether it's the pitches
- 35:02Speaker 3: that are called, whether it's the Mets. I mean, the
- 35:05Speaker 3: Mets have done such an amazing job of, you know,
- 35:08Speaker 3: getting the most value out of guys may not work.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Their approach or their mindset of how they're doing things,
- 35:14Speaker 3: how they're approaching attacking hitters may not work for everybody.
- 35:19Speaker 3: So to me, it's okay that it's not a tip.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Now they're saying it's a tip, he's tipping. My question
- 35:27Speaker 3: would be in the thirty six innings that he threw
- 35:29Speaker 3: for the Cardinals, he wasn't tipping, and now in the
- 35:32Speaker 3: almost nine innings that he's thrown for the Mets, he's tipping.
- 35:36Speaker 3: To me, it is based on his early count strikes,
- 35:41Speaker 3: So anything oh oh one to oh two to oh
- 35:45Speaker 3: two to one, his ball percentage is higher than it
- 35:50Speaker 3: ever has been at any point in his career.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Yeah, and as good hitters as all these professional guys are,
- 35:59Speaker 4: I mean, you know, you come set. If you see
- 36:02Speaker 4: just a little all of a sudden or a little
- 36:04Speaker 4: hand moment, yeah, it's gonna show.
- 36:06Speaker 2: I mean, listen, this guy's got nasty stuff. Should he
- 36:09Speaker 2: be getting hit like this?
- 36:10Speaker 1: No?
- 36:10Speaker 4: But they're professional hitters. When you know what's coming. And
- 36:13Speaker 4: I tell this to everybody, even if you know what's coming,
- 36:16Speaker 4: it's still hard to hit. But you're gonna square the
- 36:18Speaker 4: ball up a lot more. Whether it goes and play
- 36:20Speaker 4: or you don't get a hit, you're gonna your swing
- 36:23Speaker 4: is gonna be a lot better when you know what's coming.
- 36:25Speaker 4: So especially as a professional hitter, and it is frustrating,
- 36:28Speaker 4: and guess what, you gotta figure it out. You got
- 36:31Speaker 4: to change something soon because playoffs are coming. They're right
- 36:33Speaker 4: around the corner.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Yeah, this dude can top out at one oh three,
- 36:37Speaker 1: but he's got a ten to three, eight eeright eleven
- 36:40Speaker 1: appearances since joining the New York Mets to be continued.
- 36:44Speaker 1: This team's going to be in the playoffs most likely,
- 36:46Speaker 1: and they need him. That was one of their big
- 36:48Speaker 1: guns that they traded for at the deadline. Ft FAM,
- 36:52Speaker 1: Welcome to the World's most Comfortable Swimwear. For a moment,
- 36:55Speaker 1: we are talking about Fair Harbor. We actually have some
- 36:59Speaker 1: showing tell today this is the liner that you're working
- 37:03Speaker 1: with inside of the shorts and the bathing suits.
- 37:08Speaker 3: You know what the best part is about this gut
- 37:10Speaker 3: what they have a lot of different options, because these
- 37:12Speaker 3: are clearly yours because I would never order this pattern.
- 37:14Speaker 3: But that is so may on you.
- 37:15Speaker 1: That is so many these are so you.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Mine are a little bit more plain than this, yes,
- 37:20Speaker 3: but they are super comfortable. The liner. I love liner shorts.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Some people don't, but these liners are better than most
- 37:26Speaker 3: that I've had on, if not all of them.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the best liner out there, no mash
- 37:30Speaker 1: all the above is perfect exactly. It's really good. You
- 37:33Speaker 1: got to give it a shot. Also, fun random fact,
- 37:36Speaker 1: you get a new shirt. It smells really good. So
- 37:38Speaker 1: head to Fairharbor Clothing dot com slash foul and use
- 37:41Speaker 1: code foul for twenty percent off your first purchase. Once again,
- 37:44Speaker 1: Fair Harbor h A R B O R Clothing dot
- 37:46Speaker 1: com backslash foul for twenty percent off your first purchase
- 37:50Speaker 1: and use that promo code foul so they know ftcent yet.
- 37:53Speaker 1: And by the way, I'm wearing a Fair Harbor shirt
- 37:55Speaker 1: right now. I'll show you in a second. But also
- 37:57Speaker 1: we got this news in on Victor Roblaze, the suspension
- 38:00Speaker 1: from ten games to seven upon the appeal, and he's
- 38:03Speaker 1: gonna begin serving it tonight. So it's a week of
- 38:05Speaker 1: one man down on the roster for the Seattle Mariners Crats.
- 38:09Speaker 1: That's a big jump.
- 38:10Speaker 3: Ten to seven, it's a huge jump. And anything over
- 38:14Speaker 3: the way I heard it explained, anything over five for
- 38:17Speaker 3: a position player is massive. Five or more is a
- 38:20Speaker 3: massive suspension. So when it came out of ten, you
- 38:23Speaker 3: knew it was gonna go down. I thought I'd go
- 38:25Speaker 3: down to eight. But whatever, seven, it's a lot except
- 38:29Speaker 3: the malicious intent they've set. They've drawn the line in
- 38:33Speaker 3: the sand with a seven game suspension for maliciously throwing
- 38:37Speaker 3: the bat at a pitcher, no matter what the situation was.
- 38:41Speaker 3: He didn't toss it like Wilson Contreras did. But I
- 38:49Speaker 3: don't know, I don't know. I feel like seven's a
- 38:51Speaker 3: little little cheap, little thin.
- 38:57Speaker 4: I remember seeing this video down like every time he
- 39:01Speaker 4: got it. I'm laughing because you don't usually see anything
- 39:05Speaker 4: like this. You know, I'm not condoning it at all.
- 39:08Speaker 4: It's just, you know, I don't know what the right
- 39:10Speaker 4: suspensions should be. But if I'm this guy right now,
- 39:13Speaker 4: I really need to check myself and understand, like, man,
- 39:16Speaker 4: I need to calm down. I'm playing professional baseball. I
- 39:18Speaker 4: know I got to hit a bunch of times it
- 39:20Speaker 4: wasn't you know, MLB caliber guys. So you got to
- 39:23Speaker 4: really understand, to take a step back and understand, like
- 39:26Speaker 4: guys you know down in the bushes per Se don't
- 39:30Speaker 4: throw him many strikes, but he needs to go find
- 39:33Speaker 4: a high school team and get some swings in before
- 39:35Speaker 4: he comes back.
- 39:36Speaker 1: There's a big risk for the Yankees to send all
- 39:38Speaker 1: that pitching to San Diego in a trade for the
- 39:40Speaker 1: big outfielder. It's coming from Mike Petrello. It turns out
- 39:42Speaker 1: Trent Grisham was worth it. That's cute. I mean, Todd Pyther,
- 39:48Speaker 1: you can speak to that. I mean, obviously the Soto,
- 39:51Speaker 1: it was the Sodo trade, but it's also turned into
- 39:55Speaker 1: the Trent Grisham deal where some people are like, why
- 39:57Speaker 1: are they taking on Trent Grisham and whatever it was
- 39:59Speaker 1: last year five million bucks. He's been a banger for
- 40:02Speaker 1: them this year.
- 40:04Speaker 4: Banger, and he's playing more so. I think there's a
- 40:08Speaker 4: couple of things. He's he's his starter. You know, he's
- 40:11Speaker 4: not going back and forth not playing. It's hard to
- 40:13Speaker 4: do as you get a little older in your career.
- 40:17Speaker 4: He's got a knack for the zone. He knows his zone,
- 40:20Speaker 4: and I think that is something that needs to be
- 40:23Speaker 4: said and in a good place because a lot of
- 40:25Speaker 4: guys are free swingers. This guy, when he gets a
- 40:28Speaker 4: pitch in his zone, he's not missing it. He's got power.
- 40:31Speaker 4: He squares the ball off, and he's just been doing
- 40:34Speaker 4: it this whole year. You got to give kudos to
- 40:36Speaker 4: him for coming back and just getting after it and
- 40:39Speaker 4: helping this club. You know, especially when a judge goes
- 40:41Speaker 4: down or Stanton hasn't played in a while, they're gonna
- 40:44Speaker 4: need some key cogs like a Ben Rice and Trent
- 40:47Speaker 4: Grisham to step up, both left handed hitters, and they're
- 40:51Speaker 4: not to be messed with. Those two guys have been
- 40:53Speaker 4: doing really well and Grisham has been a great center
- 40:56Speaker 4: field or two. So for him, I would be proud
- 40:59Speaker 4: if I was him, especially where he was last year.
- 41:04Speaker 3: For sure. And this is a great example of the
- 41:07Speaker 3: theory that I have that regular everyday guys, when they
- 41:11Speaker 3: become bench players, what exactly would their numbers be. He's
- 41:15Speaker 3: having a great year. This is probably this is easily
- 41:18Speaker 3: his best year that he's ever had. But to go
- 41:21Speaker 3: from hitting one ninety, he had a ops plus of
- 41:24Speaker 3: ninety one which was one of the lowest of his
- 41:28Speaker 3: career too. Now he's at one twenty nine. All are
- 41:31Speaker 3: great numbers. All are great numbers to me. His value
- 41:35Speaker 3: is the fact that they can keep Judge healthy by
- 41:38Speaker 3: pushing him back to right field. All the wear and
- 41:41Speaker 3: tear that center field put on can put on Judge's
- 41:45Speaker 3: body over the long course of two seasons in a row.
- 41:49Speaker 3: I think it's huge and that's there's no value in that.
- 41:52Speaker 3: I mean, there's no like statistic for that, but there's
- 41:55Speaker 3: a huge value in the fact that the big fellow
- 41:57Speaker 3: can keep playing. That's what he said.
- 42:00Speaker 1: He said, all right, now, we're going to throw to
- 42:04Speaker 1: our al East reporter Todd Father, Todd Fraser to get
- 42:08Speaker 1: the lowdown on this division. And we're gonna start it
- 42:12Speaker 1: with a quote from Jazz Chishol, who's always good for
- 42:14Speaker 1: a quote. And he's shown the confidence that the Yankees
- 42:18Speaker 1: are not just thinking about the playoffs, they're thinking about
- 42:20Speaker 1: the division. So let's cue it up. And he said
- 42:23Speaker 1: of the Yankees, now four games back up Toronto Boston,
- 42:26Speaker 1: what is three and a half back? He still believes
- 42:28Speaker 1: they can win the East. Quote, we want to win
- 42:30Speaker 1: the division. We don't just want to get to a
- 42:32Speaker 1: wildcard spot right now. It's just like, we're going to
- 42:35Speaker 1: go out there and win that, and then we're going
- 42:36Speaker 1: to go and win the World Series. I expect nothing
- 42:39Speaker 1: less from a confident player like Jazz Todd father, what
- 42:43Speaker 1: was he going to say, We just hope we get
- 42:44Speaker 1: in as a wild card. That would be fun, that'd
- 42:47Speaker 1: be swell.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:50Speaker 4: No, I mean you've got to have the confidence of
- 42:52Speaker 4: your team first and foremost. Jazz is a different kind
- 42:57Speaker 4: of dude, bron and I respect it in a way,
- 42:59Speaker 4: and some times I'm just like, what is he doing?
- 43:01Speaker 4: You know, and the funniest, you know, out of control way.
- 43:05Speaker 4: But yes, the division is still at hand, and I
- 43:08Speaker 4: still think the Yankees, I still think the Red Sox
- 43:10Speaker 4: and Blue Jays all have a really good shot. Out
- 43:12Speaker 4: of course, the Blue Jays have the best shot because
- 43:14Speaker 4: they're winning. I looked at both all the schedules. The Yankees,
- 43:17Speaker 4: I feel like, have a little bit of the easier schedule.
- 43:20Speaker 4: The Blue Jay is gonna have a tough schedule, you know,
- 43:22Speaker 4: during this stretch coming up. Yeah, why wouldn't you have
- 43:26Speaker 4: the confidence of thinking that you're gonna win, you know,
- 43:28Speaker 4: the division and win the World Series, you know, putting
- 43:31Speaker 4: yourself in that situation. And if you're not talking about
- 43:33Speaker 4: winning the World Series, then why even play? So you
- 43:36Speaker 4: gotta have confidence, you got you gotta let your team
- 43:39Speaker 4: know and understand that, you know, there's still a chance.
- 43:41Speaker 4: Four games is nothing with you know, a little over
- 43:44Speaker 4: a month to play. I mean, there's a lot of games.
- 43:46Speaker 4: And they all got to play each other. So when
- 43:48Speaker 4: the Red Sox play the Blue Jays, Yankees play the
- 43:50Speaker 4: Blue Jays, vice versa, they all played each other. One
- 43:53Speaker 4: team is going to gain a game or two over
- 43:55Speaker 4: the other. So again, this one is up for grabs.
- 43:58Speaker 4: I love his confidence. He's gonna tell you how it is.
- 44:01Speaker 4: You know, you can't knock a guy for that.
- 44:03Speaker 3: But are they gonna do it? Are they gonna win
- 44:05Speaker 3: the division? Top needed? I mean, we can't. We can't
- 44:07Speaker 3: waffle here.
- 44:10Speaker 2: If I had to choose right now, I would say
- 44:12Speaker 2: no right now.
- 44:15Speaker 3: And where was Jazz saying this ten ten games ago
- 44:18Speaker 3: when they were swooning, when they weren't hitting dingers? Like
- 44:21Speaker 3: it's always that the the rhetoric in baseball is ride
- 44:25Speaker 3: the highs, ride the highs, and diminish the lows. When
- 44:28Speaker 3: you're riding good, enjoy it. But when you're riding bed,
- 44:33Speaker 3: just hey, you know what, we're gonna bounce out of it.
- 44:35Speaker 3: So you gotta have that kind of positive mindset. No team,
- 44:40Speaker 3: I've never met a legitimate big lee player that said,
- 44:44Speaker 3: pretty sure we're gonna lose this game today. I don't
- 44:48Speaker 3: think we have a chance like that would be That
- 44:50Speaker 3: would be a brutal way to go through a season. Hey.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Also, I think this is a good time to remind
- 44:58Speaker 1: everyone that some teams are really good and some teams suck.
- 45:03Speaker 1: And schedule watching and predicting things on schedules are real.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Now is your Can you run into a team that's
- 45:11Speaker 1: playing better ball?
- 45:12Speaker 3: Right?
- 45:12Speaker 1: Like? Are the Rockies now? Like the Rockies in April
- 45:16Speaker 1: or May? Of course not right? If you are following
- 45:19Speaker 1: the season on a daily basis, then you can look
- 45:21Speaker 1: at the schedule and say, hey, right now, that's a
- 45:24Speaker 1: team I'd run a run into. Right, And just in general,
- 45:27Speaker 1: Todd Father, let's pick the Yanks coming off a bad
- 45:31Speaker 1: weekend against the Red Sox. How about the Washington Nationals?
- 45:35Speaker 1: For you? Are you not you kicking, cheering and screaming
- 45:39Speaker 1: in the clubhouse about who you get to face next
- 45:43Speaker 1: and say, hey, boys, time to pad the stats. Time
- 45:45Speaker 1: to get back on track and beat the crap out
- 45:47Speaker 1: of a team that we are much better than, and
- 45:49Speaker 1: take all of our frustration from the weekend out on
- 45:52Speaker 1: a team that doesn't have the pitching to keep up
- 45:53Speaker 1: with us.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:55Speaker 4: I mean, listen, Yankees are nine to three in their
- 45:57Speaker 4: last twelve. I mean, they've been hitting homers left and right,
- 46:00Speaker 4: and they've been playing bad teams. We understand that. I
- 46:03Speaker 4: think we all get it.
- 46:04Speaker 2: But guess what.
- 46:06Speaker 4: You gotta beat these bad teams. You gotta stomp them.
- 46:08Speaker 4: And that's the best part of the winning ball clubs.
- 46:11Speaker 4: They find ways to you know, sweep teams. Take three
- 46:14Speaker 4: out of four. Those you have to do during a
- 46:17Speaker 4: season in order to be top in your division. Okay,
- 46:20Speaker 4: well you make the playoffs, you know, winning two out
- 46:22Speaker 4: of three from these teams, of course, you know. But
- 46:25Speaker 4: you know, everyone's like, oh, they beat the bad teams. Yeah,
- 46:27Speaker 4: you're supposed to beat the bad teams. Okay, they haven't
- 46:29Speaker 4: done well against winning teams. But again, what gets you
- 46:33Speaker 4: back into the division, what gets you back into that
- 46:35Speaker 4: playoff atmosphere and talked about, is beating the teams you're
- 46:39Speaker 4: supposed to beat. So again, if I'm the Yankees, if
- 46:43Speaker 4: I'm any team that's playing a White Sock, a Colorado,
- 46:46Speaker 4: a pirate team, a national team, it's sweep or go home.
- 46:50Speaker 2: That's it.
- 46:51Speaker 4: And you have to think that way coming into all
- 46:53Speaker 4: these games. And you will see if you take care
- 46:56Speaker 4: about your team winning, you'll worry about the other team's
- 46:59Speaker 4: gonna work about having to chase you at the end
- 47:01Speaker 4: of the year.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Yeah, krats. It drives me nuts sometimes when I'll see,
- 47:06Speaker 1: you know, a baseball broadcaster, wright or whatever, be like, well,
- 47:11Speaker 1: anythinking happen, it doesn't matter. Looking at the schedule is overrated.
- 47:15Speaker 1: I'm like, no, it is rated. It is rated accurately.
- 47:17Speaker 1: The Yankees are playing the Nats in the White Sox
- 47:19Speaker 1: this week, and they're slugging the crap out of the ball. Okay,
- 47:22Speaker 1: so let's do this. Let's play a game. Let's look
- 47:25Speaker 1: at the schedules. There's only one month left to go
- 47:27Speaker 1: on the season. And you asked Todd father if you
- 47:29Speaker 1: thought that a team could catch the Jas. He said, no, krats.
- 47:34Speaker 1: I'll read out the schedules for you and you tell
- 47:37Speaker 1: me if you feel like there's a shot, and also
- 47:39Speaker 1: then Todd Father, you can think about this one. Which
- 47:41Speaker 1: team has a better chance, Yankees or Red Sox of
- 47:43Speaker 1: catching the Blue Jays based on what's left in the season.
- 47:46Speaker 1: So first I'm going to start with Toronto and what
- 47:49Speaker 1: they have left this year. So they're playing this weekend
- 47:51Speaker 1: against the Brewers. Brewers, Hey, you would rather catch them
- 47:55Speaker 1: now than two weeks ago. Then they're in Cincinnati, Then
- 47:58Speaker 1: they're in the taken on the Yankees. Then they take
- 48:03Speaker 1: on the Astros for three and the Oriels for three,
- 48:07Speaker 1: followed by the Rays for four down in Tampa. And
- 48:12Speaker 1: they'll be on the road for three against Kansas City,
- 48:15Speaker 1: followed by the twenty third through the twenty fifth of
- 48:17Speaker 1: September against Boston, and then again finishing up with the Rays.
- 48:20Speaker 1: That's the Blue Jays schedule, and as you can see,
- 48:22Speaker 1: they're three and a half games clear of the Red Sox.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Next up with the Red Sox. Would you say, Kratz.
- 48:31Speaker 4: Said, I said, I said, that's a tough schedule for me.
- 48:34Speaker 4: In my opinion, I think that might be the toughest
- 48:38Speaker 4: schedule out of the three.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Okay, so Red Sox coming up this weekend, and I
- 48:43Speaker 1: know its schemes tonight with their rookie Tolly. But they've
- 48:46Speaker 1: got the Pirates for three this weekend. The Pirates suck.
- 48:49Speaker 1: They've got Cleveland after that at home, so a six
- 48:53Speaker 1: gamer with Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Then they hit the road
- 48:56Speaker 1: for the Diamondbacks, where not the same team. I mean,
- 48:59Speaker 1: they played pretty well this against the Brewers, but not
- 49:01Speaker 1: the same team that they were in the first half.
- 49:03Speaker 1: The A's were playing pretty good ball. This is their
- 49:05Speaker 1: time of year. Then they've got their series against the Yankees,
- 49:08Speaker 1: last one of the year from the twelfth to the fourteenth.
- 49:10Speaker 1: Then they're home against the A's. Then they're on the
- 49:13Speaker 1: road against Tampa and Toronto, and then their last series
- 49:17Speaker 1: is against a Tigers team that you do want to
- 49:19Speaker 1: face for those last three games because they most likely
- 49:22Speaker 1: won't be playing for anything. And lastly, Todd Father, you've
- 49:26Speaker 1: got the Yankees finishing up with three more games against
- 49:29Speaker 1: the White Sox. Then they have three in Houston, three
- 49:32Speaker 1: against Toronto at home, three at home against the Tigers,
- 49:36Speaker 1: three in Boston, three in Minnesota. Oh man, they love
- 49:40Speaker 1: the Twins, three in Baltimore, three at home against the
- 49:43Speaker 1: White Sox, and then three at home against the Orioles.
- 49:46Speaker 1: You're right, I think the Jays have the toughest schedule
- 49:48Speaker 1: of the three that I just mentioned.
- 49:50Speaker 4: The Yankees last thirteen games, they can easily go ten
- 49:54Speaker 4: and three, in my opinion, easily ten and three, if
- 49:58Speaker 4: not eleven and two with the teams they're facing, with
- 50:01Speaker 4: the Twins and the Orioles in the White Sox, that
- 50:06Speaker 4: might be the one where it kicks them to win
- 50:08Speaker 4: the division. I feel deeply in my soul if it's
- 50:12Speaker 4: a three four game race, I could see them jumping
- 50:15Speaker 4: a Blue Jay or Red Sox team to win the
- 50:18Speaker 4: division solely on the last thirteen.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Games of the year.
- 50:22Speaker 3: So now they are going to win the division?
- 50:25Speaker 4: I said, you didn't hear what I remember. I said,
- 50:28Speaker 4: as of right now, I don't think they're going to
- 50:30Speaker 4: win the division as of right now. Anything can happen,
- 50:33Speaker 4: an injury, you know, yeah, somebody goes away hot streak.
- 50:40Speaker 3: I think it ultimately comes down to head to head,
- 50:42Speaker 3: and I think the four game lead is too much
- 50:45Speaker 3: to overcome because it's so hard to go in and
- 50:48Speaker 3: sweep this Blue Jays team. They have to go in
- 50:52Speaker 3: and beat the Red Sox, which they have struggled to do.
- 50:55Speaker 3: We spent a whole week talking about how the Phillies
- 50:57Speaker 3: struggled to beat the Mets. The Yankees need to beat
- 51:01Speaker 3: the Red Sox, And to me, home field is going
- 51:05Speaker 3: to be huge. If you look across records of all
- 51:08Speaker 3: the playoff teams, all the teams in baseball right now,
- 51:12Speaker 3: road records are just they're abysmal compared to home records,
- 51:16Speaker 3: and I think that's gonna be a huge thing in
- 51:17Speaker 3: the playoffs. But as far as to win the division,
- 51:20Speaker 3: I just the series where the where the Yankee for
- 51:24Speaker 3: the Yankees, where they play the Red Size, I mean
- 51:26Speaker 3: where they play the Yeah, the Red Sox and the
- 51:29Speaker 3: Blue Jays, that's huge. All the other stuff, to me,
- 51:33Speaker 3: that's just that's just chalk, that's just a wash. I
- 51:36Speaker 3: think it really needs to be those head to head matchups.
- 51:39Speaker 3: And if they're not winning those head to head matchups,
- 51:41Speaker 3: just gonna they're gonna be to come up short.
- 51:45Speaker 1: I like that there's three teams in it NA. They're
- 51:47Speaker 1: close enough. I like a good race down the stretch here,
- 51:50Speaker 1: because as far as playoff teams, it seems like we're
- 51:54Speaker 1: pretty much set, you know, in terms of who's actually
- 51:58Speaker 1: going to make the dance but we got a month
- 52:01Speaker 1: to play. Let us know your thoughts. If you think
- 52:03Speaker 1: that Boston or the Yanks can catch the Blue Jays,
- 52:06Speaker 1: drop a comment for us if you're watching live or
- 52:09Speaker 1: later on at t tweet. What is that Michael Parsons
- 52:13Speaker 1: trade in baseball terms? Guys? We got some current answers
- 52:17Speaker 1: like Devors to the Giants, and then we got some
- 52:19Speaker 1: hypothetical ones like Paul Skeen's to the Mariners or the
- 52:23Speaker 1: Blue Jays, Otani to the Padres for Arise, Akunya to
- 52:28Speaker 1: the Tigers, Soto to the Brewers, Judge to the Phillies.
- 52:33Speaker 1: What do you like? Skiens to the Cubs? What do
- 52:35Speaker 1: you guys like.
- 52:40Speaker 3: Trout to the Phillies?
- 52:43Speaker 2: That's it, No.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Only one.
- 52:46Speaker 3: I was poking at Todd there, I was poking at Todd.
- 52:50Speaker 3: Michael Parsons is a bigger deal in the NFL than
- 52:55Speaker 3: Trout is in Major League Baseball.
- 52:58Speaker 1: Well, Parsons is in his prime. He's what twenty six
- 53:00Speaker 1: years old. It's like Luca last time too. It's one.
- 53:03Speaker 1: It's one of the best. And I'm not mister football here,
- 53:05Speaker 1: but it's one of the best defensive players in the sport.
- 53:07Speaker 1: Moving over to another team in the NFC.
- 53:14Speaker 3: I think it's Skans. I think it's I think it's
- 53:16Speaker 3: Skeens because he's not He's not that like superstar quarterback
- 53:22Speaker 3: where you know Michael Parsons. Yes he plays on defense,
- 53:25Speaker 3: but he's one of the best ones out there. He
- 53:28Speaker 3: could win Defensive Player of the Year. Skeans could win
- 53:31Speaker 3: Cy Young. I think it's schemes to whatever team I
- 53:35Speaker 3: think it's. I think it's more blown out of proportion
- 53:37Speaker 3: because it's Cowboys and Cowboys fans wind and complain about
- 53:39Speaker 3: a lot of stuff because they haven't won in thirty years.
- 53:42Speaker 3: But I love seeing it. I love seeing stars on
- 53:45Speaker 3: the move like this. I think the Pirates should do that,
- 53:49Speaker 3: should do this because it's kind of hurting Skeins's value.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Schemes wouldn't be eight to nine with a to zero seven.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Yeah, but the Cowboys and Pirates could not be more different, right,
- 54:01Speaker 1: And also the Cowboys trade him to a team that
- 54:05Speaker 1: Michael Cowboys fans tells us, Yeah, but they I mean,
- 54:08Speaker 1: the Packers kick their ass when they made up in
- 54:11Speaker 1: the playoffs too, So you'd have to think of a
- 54:13Speaker 1: team like to me, it would be like.
- 54:17Speaker 3: Maybe both owners suck and they'll know what they're doing
- 54:20Speaker 3: and get in the way. Bob Nutting gets in away,
- 54:23Speaker 3: Jerry Jones gets in a way. Michael Parsons is on defense,
- 54:28Speaker 3: so he's not as sexy as the quarterback. Paul Skeins
- 54:32Speaker 3: isn't as sexy as you know, somebody hitting dingers. So
- 54:36Speaker 3: to me, I think it's Paul Skeens and he's free.
- 54:39Speaker 3: Michael Parson's free of the cowboys, just muck that they're
- 54:43Speaker 3: living with in their life. And I hope Michael Beer
- 54:45Speaker 3: hears this. He's free, he gets a championship. Paul Skeins
- 54:48Speaker 3: would go be free and get to win a championship somewhere.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Hey, Todd, father, did you see this story or story
- 54:54Speaker 1: early this week from Boomer Size? And who's you know,
- 54:56Speaker 1: a big radio host in New York and big former
- 55:00Speaker 1: quarterback in the NFL. So he's in the Ring of
- 55:02Speaker 1: Honor for the Bengals and they sent him the invite
- 55:05Speaker 1: to attend because now, once you're in the Ring of Honor,
- 55:07Speaker 1: you're supposed to go when someone else gets inducted. And
- 55:10Speaker 1: they're inducting two other players, right, So he gets the
- 55:13Speaker 1: email invite and he gets two free tickets for seats
- 55:17Speaker 1: in the stands, with an option to buy more seats
- 55:20Speaker 1: if you would like to buy more, and then a
- 55:22Speaker 1: discounted rate at the local hotel as part of a
- 55:25Speaker 1: room block. So he basically gets himself out there, pays
- 55:32Speaker 1: for the hotel, and they have him a couple of
- 55:34Speaker 1: tickets in the seats where you were in Cincinnati somewhat frequently,
- 55:38Speaker 1: Todd father. I mean, you are a man of the people.
- 55:40Speaker 1: You love them, But if you're sitting out in the seats,
- 55:42Speaker 1: people just all over you the whole time. So it
- 55:46Speaker 1: sounds like he's probably going to decline the offer. Do
- 55:49Speaker 1: you think the Bengals should offer a little more, as
- 55:53Speaker 1: like a five and a half billion dollar franchise.
- 55:59Speaker 3: That is Britian.
- 56:00Speaker 2: I see where you're going with this, But no, no, he.
- 56:03Speaker 1: Should just go out there and do his thing. Is
- 56:05Speaker 1: that out? I don't know genuinely how this works. I'm
- 56:07Speaker 1: not saying that you get paid, but don't They usually
- 56:09Speaker 1: take care of them and be like, hey, hang out
- 56:11Speaker 1: in the owner suite and yes, we'll put you up
- 56:14Speaker 1: for a night.
- 56:15Speaker 2: No, I got you.
- 56:16Speaker 4: But that the sweet the sweet thing, Yeah, put them
- 56:20Speaker 4: in a sweet I find that weird that they're not
- 56:23Speaker 4: going to put him in the suite, but you know
- 56:28Speaker 4: you're getting two tickets. I mean it's just to me,
- 56:32Speaker 4: people feel like because of what you know, you did
- 56:35Speaker 4: in the past, at the end of the day, it's like.
- 56:38Speaker 2: They have to do this and that.
- 56:40Speaker 4: I mean, listen, dude, if they don't put you in
- 56:42Speaker 4: a suite, I find that as a problem. That's not
- 56:44Speaker 4: a problem.
- 56:45Speaker 2: But you're getting up. You're getting it, says a discounted right.
- 56:50Speaker 2: They're not giving them a hotel on his own either.
- 56:53Speaker 1: No, that's what I'm saying, dude. I mean, these things
- 56:56Speaker 1: happen all the time.
- 57:00Speaker 3: Of them, right.
- 57:03Speaker 4: Yeah, they should take your hotel and put them in
- 57:05Speaker 4: a suite. Anything else after that is whatever.
- 57:08Speaker 1: That's all I'm asking for as his rep. Now I'm
- 57:10Speaker 1: now his rep. That's all I was asking for. Okay,
- 57:12Speaker 1: So we're on the same page here. It's weird. That's
- 57:14Speaker 1: why it was a story. Happy Labor Day weekend every Monday. Yeah,
- 57:21Speaker 1: we'll see all Tuesday. Tuesday, Monday, we're off. Good luck
