  God's word in your life. So, let's

  huddle up and hear today's play from

  Luke 17, which says, "Once on being
• 0:14
  asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom
• 0:16
  of God would come, Jesus replied, the
• 0:18
  coming of the kingdom of God is not
• 0:20
  something that can be observed, nor will
• 0:22
  people say, "Here it is," or, "There it
• 0:24
  is, because the kingdom of God is in
• 0:26
  your midst. For the Son of Man in his
• 0:28
  day will be like the lightning which
• 0:30
  flashes and lights up the sky from one
• 0:32
  end to the other. Whoever tries to keep
• 0:34
  their life will lose it and whoever
• 0:36
  loses their life will preserve it. Jesus
• 0:39
  says the kingdom isn't something you can
• 0:41
  point to and say here it is. It's not
• 0:43
  tied to a date or a sign or a
• 0:46
  prediction. It's not waiting for the
• 0:48
  next election or war or crisis. The
• 0:50
  kingdom of God is already here right in
• 0:53
  the middle of God's people. And when
• 0:55
  Jesus returns to bring his kingdom in
• 0:57
  full, it will be as sudden as lightning
• 1:00
  ripping through the sky. No time to
• 1:02
  prepare, no time to negotiate, no time
• 1:04
  to change course. So the question for us
• 1:07
  isn't when will the end come. Jesus says
• 1:10
  that's the wrong question. The right
• 1:12
  question is, am I living a kingdom as a
• 1:15
  kingdom man right now? A man ready for
• 1:18
  the king's return at any moment. a man
• 1:20
  who isn't clinging to his own plans, his
• 1:22
  own comfort, or his own life. Because
• 1:24
  Jesus said, if we tried to hold on to
• 1:26
  this life, we will lose it. But if we
• 1:28
  lose our lives for him, if we lay them
• 1:30
  down, we actually save them. Kingdom men
• 1:34
  don't sit around waiting for a timeline.
• 1:36
  They build the kingdom that Jesus will
• 1:38
  one day finish. They bring heaven to
• 1:40
  earth in their homes, their marriages,
• 1:42
  and their workplaces. They choose
• 1:44
  obedience over comfort, sacrifice over
• 1:46
  self-promotion, witness over silence,
• 1:49
  and mission over maintenance. And here's
• 1:51
  the truth, brothers. The kingdom is
• 1:53
  already breaking in wherever you choose
• 1:55
  to die to yourself and to live like
• 1:58
  Jesus. One day, our sinful bodies will
• 2:00
  be exchanged for sinless ones. One day,
• 2:02
  evil will be removed forever. And one
• 2:05
  day, we will live with Christ on a
• 2:06
  restored earth with restored hearts. But
• 2:09
  until that day, we live now like the men
• 2:12
  who will live with him then. So run
• 2:14
  today's play. Identify one man in your

  world who is far from God. Pray for him
• 2:19
  by name. Reach out. Take the one step
• 2:22
  toward his salvation because the kingdom
• 2:24
  is already here and the king is coming

  quickly. Live ready. Live surrendered.
