- 0:13Speaker 2: I was on my flight from wherever to wherever, and
- 0:15Speaker 2: I was trying to watch something in my show on
- 0:18Speaker 2: peacock below deck was not available because I didn't have
- 0:20Speaker 2: Wi Fi. But I was tempted because because there was
- 0:25Speaker 2: something downloaded on my my iPad for my wife shows
- 0:29Speaker 2: sense is this.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Week new Bombshell.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Enters in the whole were one point nine four billion
- 0:39Speaker 2: minutes minutes viewed, ingested, ingesting in hours.
- 0:43Speaker 1: That's but no one watches hours of television.
- 0:46Speaker 2: That's get a calculatorn you're good with, nach. If you
- 0:48Speaker 2: went to school, one point nine to four billion minutes
- 0:51Speaker 2: viewed million many years.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Thirty years? How many years?
- 0:56Speaker 4: Let's find out minutes in two years that you can
- 0:59Speaker 4: do it, no calculator, that's thirty four million hours divided
- 1:02Speaker 4: by twenty four, So that would be divided by twenty
- 1:05Speaker 4: four so that'd be.
- 1:05Speaker 1: One point six million days, and.
- 1:10Speaker 4: So then three hundred and sixty five That would actually
- 1:13Speaker 4: put us at.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Like you're closet almost there. I know, answer three hundred
- 1:16Speaker 1: and eighty five million years incorrect.
- 1:20Speaker 4: It's about three thousand, eight hundred eighty one years.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Oh, I was off by a zero three hundred and
- 1:25Speaker 1: eighty one during.
- 1:26Speaker 2: By a whole zero, which which adds tell me that
- 1:31Speaker 2: was pretty close.
- 1:33Speaker 5: I was close enough.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I was close enough.
- 1:35Speaker 4: There was a math question on my daughter's test, and
- 1:37Speaker 4: it said, what do you feel the answer should be?
- 1:40Speaker 1: I said, no, this is math. There is a yeah,
- 1:42Speaker 1: there's a correct or wrong answer.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Well, not necessarily. What's your favorite clip before introduced? I
- 1:47Speaker 2: guess oh, I love that one. I've seen that one.
- 1:49Speaker 5: I love that so good.
- 1:50Speaker 1: He's like like a mummy. She's like my favorite.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Because it went quite viral on TikTok was oh nice,
- 1:57Speaker 4: my my, my, my perfect date.
- 1:58Speaker 1: That's like right, I have seen that.
- 2:00Speaker 6: Well.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Our guest is the host.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Of this show, so exciting, so many questions I have
- 2:04Speaker 2: for her, lots of questions about how she's finding the
- 2:08Speaker 2: journey on the show, but also her her journey before that.
- 2:10Speaker 2: She's an incredible resume with some things we have to
- 2:13Speaker 2: get into. Please welcome our.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Very special My dream date.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Knows that our very special guest today on the pod.
- 2:25Speaker 3: This week, a hot new bombshell enters the villa.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Please welcome our guest.
- 2:32Speaker 2: All right, ematics yes, welcome the podcast.
- 2:40Speaker 1: So many people in this room right now.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Yeah, it sounds like it. How are you and where
- 2:44Speaker 5: are you? I'm good. I'm at my house in l
- 2:48Speaker 5: A nice address.
- 2:51Speaker 7: Yeah, and social security number. Well, we're very happy directions.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Congrats on everything. I watched the finale in it, so
- 3:01Speaker 4: I didn't follow the full season, but I would. I
- 3:03Speaker 4: kind of watched over people's shoulders because super fans were
- 3:06Speaker 4: on a on a vacation.
- 3:07Speaker 5: I was on a vacation with them.
- 3:09Speaker 4: But the finale had me like, I was like, I'm
- 3:11Speaker 4: going to bed, and the finale starts like, nah, I'm
- 3:12Speaker 4: not going to bed.
- 3:13Speaker 1: This is this is fully in, this is this is
- 3:15Speaker 1: too good.
- 3:16Speaker 5: You're locked in at that point, and.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Who are locked in? How has that whole experience been
- 3:20Speaker 1: for you?
- 3:20Speaker 4: That being a part of a show like that, and
- 3:22Speaker 4: the success and obviously the fan base is just.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Massive, massive.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Were talking about the numbers before you came on, So
- 3:27Speaker 2: one point nine to four billion minutes viewed basically makes
- 3:31Speaker 2: it one of, if not the biggest show on television globally.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Casually casual mc gil and Jim mentioned, you know, watching shoulders,
- 3:40Speaker 2: but also there's there's the people that are diehard fans.
- 3:43Speaker 2: There are those that consume all this on on social media,
- 3:46Speaker 2: on TikTok and x and you know, Instagram after the fact.
- 3:50Speaker 1: There's so much reach of this show. And you've been
- 3:53Speaker 1: hosting now since twenty.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Twenty four, correct, Yeah, since season six.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Incredible and and just to see you know, the growth
- 4:00Speaker 2: even from then to now, it's got to be pretty
- 4:02Speaker 2: gratifying because you're really kind of you're the voice of
- 4:05Speaker 2: the show and you get to take people on this
- 4:08Speaker 2: journey tell us about not just the experience on being
- 4:11Speaker 2: on the show, but also what that global impact has
- 4:13Speaker 2: felt like these last couple of years.
- 4:15Speaker 7: It's so cool. It's so amazing too. Sometimes I think
- 4:19Speaker 7: season six it really blew up, and were in Fiji,
- 4:24Speaker 7: so we're very disconnected from what's going on at home,
- 4:29Speaker 7: and of course I'm on TikTok all the time, and
- 4:32Speaker 7: I'd be scrolling and we would ask each other, you know,
- 4:36Speaker 7: is this just our algorithm, because you know, we're in it,
- 4:40Speaker 7: and the.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Algorithm knows that this is our thing.
- 4:43Speaker 7: And then we realized after getting the numbers back that
- 4:47Speaker 7: it was just huge, and that season seven, same thing,
- 4:51Speaker 7: even bigger, Season eight even bigger, which is really crazy
- 4:54Speaker 7: to think because you almost feel like, how much.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Bigger could it possibly get?
- 5:00Speaker 7: But it's so cool because it feels like this online,
- 5:03Speaker 7: like this community of people, and everyone's watching and tuning
- 5:06Speaker 7: in every day and they're making these hilarious memes and
- 5:13Speaker 7: edits and they're all so invested. And then you know,
- 5:17Speaker 7: you'll be scrolling on TikTok and you'll see all these
- 5:19Speaker 7: groups of people are going live and breaking down everything
- 5:22Speaker 7: in the episode, and it's really really cool to be
- 5:26Speaker 7: a fly on the wall and just see how people
- 5:29Speaker 7: are responding to everything. And it's really kind of a
- 5:34Speaker 7: nice pat on the back to see that response because
- 5:40Speaker 7: the people who make this show are working so hard
- 5:44Speaker 7: all the time, and it's it's lovely to see them
- 5:48Speaker 7: kind of the fruits of their labors, so to speak.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Really, speaking of that your first Primetime Emmy nomination, congratulations
- 6:00Speaker 2: and exciting for you, and obviously the entire team kind
- 6:03Speaker 2: of on board it. But tell us about that when
- 6:05Speaker 2: you got the news, Where were you What were you doing?
- 6:08Speaker 7: I was dead asleep in my hotel room in Fiji
- 6:13Speaker 7: and my room phone started ringing and I don't know
- 6:17Speaker 7: about you, guys, but I a I'm afraid of the
- 6:21Speaker 7: phone in general.
- 6:22Speaker 5: I'm a Texter.
- 6:22Speaker 7: Please, when someone calls, I immediately assumed something very bad
- 6:27Speaker 7: has happened.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Yes, agreed.
- 6:28Speaker 7: Yeah, And so it wasn't even my cell phone. It's
- 6:31Speaker 7: the sound of a landline.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Oh that means something's but wrong businessmy nomination those two things.
- 6:39Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, And I was I was definitely somewhere in
- 6:42Speaker 7: the middle of rim sleep because I was so scared,
- 6:47Speaker 7: and I walked over and I answered the phone in
- 6:49Speaker 7: a stupor, and it was my team and they had
- 6:52Speaker 7: called the hotel and then said, can you please connect
- 6:56Speaker 7: us to this room? And the hotel people were like,
- 6:59Speaker 7: you're crazy. It's four o'clock in the morning. This, this
- 7:02Speaker 7: is absolutely you're out of your mind. And they had
- 7:04Speaker 7: to convince them that I would actually want the call.
- 7:08Speaker 7: So yeah, and then it was an amazing phone call
- 7:10Speaker 7: to get because I think over here in the States,
- 7:13Speaker 7: it was obviously a much different time of day.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:16Speaker 2: So they couldn't reach you on your phone because it's
- 7:20Speaker 2: on do not disturb when you.
- 7:21Speaker 5: Sleep, Yes, all the time?
- 7:22Speaker 1: Okay, nice, very smart.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I'm trying to work towards the do not disturb or
- 7:27Speaker 2: even Joe you've started keeping the other room?
- 7:29Speaker 7: Is that?
- 7:29Speaker 1: Is that right?
- 7:30Speaker 4: Keeping the do not disturb? Yeah, no, the phone. So
- 7:34Speaker 4: I know, Okay, where did you hear that? You told
- 7:37Speaker 4: me that like two weeks ago. Maybe I did that
- 7:39Speaker 4: one time.
- 7:40Speaker 5: I do. I'm a user of do not disturb.
- 7:43Speaker 4: The do not disturb thing doesn't work though, because all
- 7:45Speaker 4: of you guys are on VIP, so you text and
- 7:47Speaker 4: I get it anyway, So like, what's the point.
- 7:50Speaker 5: I didn't put you on that?
- 7:51Speaker 1: But I have Oh got it. You have to, like
- 7:53Speaker 1: you have you either have to go all in or not.
- 7:55Speaker 4: But I have two kids and and they are are
- 8:01Speaker 4: they go to school in London, so I when I'm
- 8:03Speaker 4: asleep here in the States the hours earlier. But so
- 8:06Speaker 4: like it's kind of like keeping one eye open. But
- 8:09Speaker 4: congratulations to you. That is so exciting. That's amazing film
- 8:12Speaker 4: in Fiji. I want to hear about the Fiji set up. Yeah,
- 8:14Speaker 4: I want to know about the compound because it's it's
- 8:16Speaker 4: it looks so elaborate, but at the same time, I'm
- 8:19Speaker 4: so curious how like the inner workings.
- 8:20Speaker 2: And just so you know, all right, no, no one
- 8:22Speaker 2: actually watches this podcast, so you can talk about whatever.
- 8:24Speaker 7: You want.
- 8:27Speaker 6: Y.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Yeah, is it actually luxurious?
- 8:30Speaker 4: Only one hundred only one hundred and ninety eight billillion
- 8:34Speaker 4: people podcast one, Yes, so yeah.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Yeah, the compound. Are are you in the compound?
- 8:40Speaker 1: Are you?
- 8:40Speaker 4: You obviously said hotel rooms, so you're not necessarily within
- 8:44Speaker 4: the confines.
- 8:45Speaker 2: And by the way, sorry sorry, you have your phone,
- 8:47Speaker 2: which right the other they don't have their phones.
- 8:50Speaker 5: Yeah, the person I am the one person that is
- 8:53Speaker 5: both on the show and with the phone.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Love that's exciting.
- 8:57Speaker 7: Yeah, it's nice. Have any of you guys been to
- 9:00Speaker 7: at all?
- 9:01Speaker 1: No, I never always wanted to go. I love their water.
- 9:04Speaker 7: Yeah, it's amazing water for sure, and it's obviously a
- 9:07Speaker 7: lot cheaper over there because it's it's right there.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:11Speaker 7: Yeah, Fiji is is really really beautiful. Obviously, we joke
- 9:16Speaker 7: that I sleep in Soultize, and we've made this joke
- 9:19Speaker 7: so many times that people online really believe it.
- 9:23Speaker 5: And so when an islander.
- 9:25Speaker 7: Goes to sleep and Soultize, they're like, but then where
- 9:27Speaker 7: does Ariana go? Like, well, she goes to the hideaway.
- 9:30Speaker 1: The hideaway, yeah, hide away.
- 9:31Speaker 7: Yeah, but yeah, the compound is really amazing. It actually
- 9:36Speaker 7: used to be it used to be a resort that
- 9:39Speaker 7: The best way I can describe the vibe of it
- 9:42Speaker 7: is like dirty dancing.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Oh wow.
- 9:44Speaker 7: So yeah, So it's about where I stay, like where
- 9:48Speaker 7: the hotels are. It's about a forty five minute drive.
- 9:51Speaker 7: And then you go over to the compound and you
- 9:55Speaker 7: come in and all the different departments are there, so
- 9:58Speaker 7: you have As you pull in, you'll see the art
- 10:00Speaker 7: department is building a challenge, and down past that is
- 10:06Speaker 7: all the post team is in there, you know, editing away.
- 10:10Speaker 7: Then there's a control room that's there. There's catering which
- 10:14Speaker 7: that does all of our food. No, it literally could
- 10:17Speaker 7: be its own show because there's like hundreds of people.
- 10:20Speaker 4: There the same time day, which is so much harder
- 10:24Speaker 4: for the for the crew and for the staff, which
- 10:27Speaker 4: is awesome.
- 10:28Speaker 7: Yeah, it's one of those it's I think the rare
- 10:30Speaker 7: thing of a show that is being filmed, edited and
- 10:35Speaker 7: airing in real time.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fascinating, and you're there the entire run of it.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Correct.
- 10:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I stay out there.
- 10:42Speaker 7: There's always an offer like, oh, you know, you have
- 10:44Speaker 7: a few days off this week, do you want to
- 10:46Speaker 7: fly home? And I just think, like, I don't know,
- 10:49Speaker 7: an eleven hour flight to then turn around and come back.
- 10:53Speaker 5: Yeah, so I just stay.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Like it's not the nicest location to stay in either, right.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Yeah exactly.
- 11:00Speaker 1: So how long do you how.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Long do you pretty much stay on on site in Fiji?
- 11:04Speaker 4: Like how many months or weeks are you there?
- 11:05Speaker 7: I'm there for for eight weeks, so I'm there a
- 11:08Speaker 7: little bit before the show starts, and then I'm usually
- 11:11Speaker 7: there like a couple of days after to get all
- 11:13Speaker 7: my stuff together and usually try to have one last.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Hurrah yeah from it, like the start of a season.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Do you ever have a gut feeling like these two
- 11:22Speaker 4: are going to be they're gonna make it, or they're
- 11:24Speaker 4: gonna they're gonna you're gonna see it through or is
- 11:26Speaker 4: it just you never know?
- 11:27Speaker 7: Honestly, I feel like every time I've thought that I've
- 11:31Speaker 7: been wrong, maybe.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Placing bets or there's like an also a casino with this, Oh.
- 11:36Speaker 5: My god, super you know people are doing it.
- 11:42Speaker 4: You can better, you can do people are no crew member.
- 11:47Speaker 4: I'm going to show now. And we had a production
- 11:50Speaker 4: meeting and that they had to remind me because it's
- 11:52Speaker 4: a live show. They said, hey, I just we have
- 11:55Speaker 4: to do this for legalities. The producers down said they
- 11:58Speaker 4: weren't saying you can't. They're like, please don't bet on
- 12:00Speaker 4: things like you can't.
- 12:02Speaker 7: When I thought about it, I was like, I do
- 12:05Speaker 7: know what happens about a day in advance.
- 12:07Speaker 1: It would be Phoe, call your phone.
- 12:12Speaker 5: We do not cont No one watches this podcast.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Fine thing you want to do, It's fine, okay, So
- 12:18Speaker 2: let's let's back it up one degree here. So this
- 12:20Speaker 2: is obviously not your first venture into reality TV to
- 12:23Speaker 2: totally uh this world coming off of Dancing with Stars,
- 12:29Speaker 2: where you you placed third, which is incredible. It looks
- 12:33Speaker 2: so difficult I would I would fail be out in
- 12:36Speaker 2: the first week or two.
- 12:37Speaker 1: That experience coming out of that was.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Was it soon after around that time that you got
- 12:42Speaker 2: this call to come in and be the host for
- 12:45Speaker 2: Love Island.
- 12:45Speaker 7: Dancing with the Stars? I did twenty twenty three. Oh
- 12:49Speaker 7: right after I had done two guest spots, two guest
- 12:52Speaker 7: hosting spots on season five and on season one of
- 12:56Speaker 7: Love Island Games, and then I had Dancing with the Stars.
- 12:59Speaker 7: And then it was actually during my first Broadway run
- 13:05Speaker 7: in Chicago. It was around like January or February when
- 13:10Speaker 7: I think I was in the I had to go
- 13:13Speaker 7: into the stage manager's office maybe mid show to get
- 13:18Speaker 7: a quick call because this this had come through and
- 13:23Speaker 7: you know, for me as a Love Island fans, kind
- 13:26Speaker 7: of my dream job.
- 13:28Speaker 5: So that was a really really cool call to get.
- 13:31Speaker 4: And you're also getting another call in like a very
- 13:34Speaker 4: intense setting.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, through show.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Your team only likes to frighten you.
- 13:40Speaker 7: No, they really, they likes that's good though. Yeah, they
- 13:46Speaker 7: love to give me a text that says, hey, can
- 13:49Speaker 7: you call me? Oh no, no, I can't have Yeah no,
- 13:52Speaker 7: I said, you guys got to stop.
- 13:54Speaker 4: And also I think one of the very exciting like accomplishment.
- 13:58Speaker 4: And it's so cool because we are massive sandwich fans.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Do you have a sandwich spot in Los Angeles? Yes,
- 14:05Speaker 4: please take us through how did that start? But also
- 14:07Speaker 4: we should let you know we are currently in Dallas, Texas,
- 14:10Speaker 4: but we do have your sandwiches here.
- 14:12Speaker 5: We flew them in.
- 14:13Speaker 1: We flew them in and we made.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Sure they were preserved perfectly, so we can try your
- 14:17Speaker 4: sandwiches the whole.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Of We looked at the menu and there's no Ariana
- 14:24Speaker 1: on the menu.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Well, first of all, I have a bit of a
- 14:29Speaker 2: bone to pick with you. It's all so good okay,
- 14:32Speaker 2: and that is that I have dreamed of opening a
- 14:34Speaker 2: sandwich shop for my entire life. We grew up in
- 14:36Speaker 2: New Jersey, which is known for good Deli's Monadello, and
- 14:42Speaker 2: my first ever job was it's probably illegal, but the
- 14:45Speaker 2: guy that owned it was a family friend. He let
- 14:46Speaker 2: me stalk the shelves. Was when he was three years
- 14:49Speaker 2: when I was like three or four. I was in
- 14:51Speaker 2: sixth but I've never actually taken it seriously. When I
- 14:54Speaker 2: when I found out that you have this this sandwich
- 14:56Speaker 2: shop in la uh something about her it's called go
- 15:00Speaker 2: check it out?
- 15:00Speaker 5: Yeah, yes please, I was.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Very jealous, and so I'm excited to try one of these.
- 15:05Speaker 2: But give us the backstory. First of all, where are
- 15:08Speaker 2: you from and is that an influence on your desire
- 15:10Speaker 2: to have a sandwich shop or not.
- 15:13Speaker 7: I'm from Florida and my mom is probably the best
- 15:18Speaker 7: cook slash sandwich maker I've ever met. And I think
- 15:22Speaker 7: that my love for eating sandwiches is definitely something that
- 15:26Speaker 7: motivated me to be a part of this business. One
- 15:30Speaker 7: of my dear, dear friends, Katie Maloney, had this dream
- 15:34Speaker 7: and she really wanted to make it happen, and I thought, Wow,
- 15:39Speaker 7: we're so aligned in our vision for what this could be,
- 15:43Speaker 7: and so I was really excited to jump in and
- 15:45Speaker 7: do it with her. And we've had such a blast.
- 15:48Speaker 7: I mean, listen, I totally support your sandwich shop journey.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Thank you. You really need Your sandwich shop is incredible.
- 15:55Speaker 5: The food is amazing. I can't believe you guys have
- 15:59Speaker 5: that text.
- 16:00Speaker 1: They're really good. So I think, and it's like Pete
- 16:03Speaker 1: Repairs and yeah, yeah, yeah, very good. You should keep
- 16:07Speaker 1: doing this. This is very good. I appreciate your support
- 16:09Speaker 1: my shop journey. Do you have a name? I do?
- 16:13Speaker 1: I'm between two.
- 16:14Speaker 2: I'd like I'd like your opinion because you're a successful
- 16:16Speaker 2: samwich shop owner and I'm not. The two options are
- 16:19Speaker 2: as follows uh Saint Nick's that worked?
- 16:23Speaker 4: That works?
- 16:26Speaker 1: Or Big Nicks, thank you, Joe.
- 16:31Speaker 6: Not.
- 16:31Speaker 5: Something about him across the street rivalry.
- 16:37Speaker 1: That could be.
- 16:37Speaker 2: It could be like a like an interesting this sounds
- 16:40Speaker 2: like the setup of.
- 16:41Speaker 3: A hot new bombshell.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Something about him listen. The log line to a fantastic
- 16:50Speaker 2: rom com starring starring Nick Jonas and Rio Maddox could
- 16:55Speaker 2: be I say that genius speak of you're acting Broadway.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Yeah, incredible. Well she's nominated for the Emmy now which
- 17:03Speaker 1: she'll win, and then when she.
- 17:04Speaker 5: Does so, halfway there to that you got.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Yeah, my journey started on Brow as a kid and
- 17:14Speaker 2: Joe uh did show as a kid, and it's it's
- 17:17Speaker 2: a big love of ours as a family. Musical theater Yeah, Chicago,
- 17:21Speaker 2: I mean classic, iconic, Yes, and an important show in
- 17:27Speaker 2: the sort of the history of of the Broadway as
- 17:30Speaker 2: a whole. What an incredible journey that must have been
- 17:33Speaker 2: eight shows a week, though, is a grind. You did
- 17:36Speaker 2: musical theater in college, obviously, and I'm sure you have
- 17:39Speaker 2: a deep love for it, but but actually doing it,
- 17:42Speaker 2: what was your experience like And what's the next role
- 17:44Speaker 2: you want to do?
- 17:45Speaker 6: Oh?
- 17:45Speaker 7: My gosh, any and all the roles please, it's so
- 17:50Speaker 7: much fun. It's it is a grind. It does become
- 17:53Speaker 7: a bit of a different thing. But it's one of
- 17:56Speaker 7: those what was it Taylor Swift or somebody who said
- 17:59Speaker 7: something like, you know, it's hard, but it's not hard
- 18:04Speaker 7: at the same time because you love it and every
- 18:07Speaker 7: night I feel like when you hear the orchestra playing,
- 18:10Speaker 7: you just get this surge of energy and there's just
- 18:13Speaker 7: there's nothing like it. And the eight shows a week.
- 18:15Speaker 7: I mean, it becomes it is your whole life. And
- 18:20Speaker 7: one thing that I definitely struggled with is when people,
- 18:22Speaker 7: you know, when other things would come in and they
- 18:25Speaker 7: would want me to do other little, you know, jobs
- 18:31Speaker 7: and things throughout the run. I was I was trying
- 18:33Speaker 7: to it's you have to be so focused. You can't
- 18:36Speaker 7: there's nothing outside of just doing that show eight days
- 18:39Speaker 7: a week. But at the same time, it's kind of
- 18:41Speaker 7: the best place to be in which I'm sure you
- 18:45Speaker 7: know you guys love it.
- 18:46Speaker 5: I mean I just.
- 18:49Speaker 7: Was watching the show Nick that you just did. What
- 18:55Speaker 7: Oh my gosh, yes, thank you. I love that show,
- 18:58Speaker 7: so congrats. That's like literally one of my favorite shows.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Same yeah, and it was a grind. I mean, I
- 19:04Speaker 2: loved going back and doing it. My co star was amazing.
- 19:07Speaker 2: But the prices that you have to take, you said, locked.
- 19:11Speaker 4: You really can't, like you said Ariona, like getting calls
- 19:13Speaker 4: and you're of course, your team's calling you mid show
- 19:16Speaker 4: and they're saying, hey, we got this nice opportunity or
- 19:19Speaker 4: payday here do you want to take You know, you'd
- 19:22Speaker 4: have to leave early. But it's like there's there's something
- 19:26Speaker 4: amazing to put yourself through that challenge. I remember we
- 19:28Speaker 4: had long conversations with me and Nick about this when
- 19:31Speaker 4: he was in the last five years, because there was
- 19:34Speaker 4: even just to fill up a venue size like that.
- 19:37Speaker 4: For avid theater lovers or people that just are walking
- 19:40Speaker 4: around New York City and they're seeing they're like, maybe
- 19:43Speaker 4: we should just get dinner instead, that happens. And so
- 19:46Speaker 4: to people that go and show up, it's incredible. So
- 19:49Speaker 4: obviously shout out to the theater fans or new fans
- 19:51Speaker 4: out there, but I think it's it's it's It can
- 19:53Speaker 4: be a grind, but I think the reward of like
- 19:56Speaker 4: putting yourself to something through that physically and emotionally each
- 19:59Speaker 4: night having to put on that mindset is like, hats
- 20:02Speaker 4: off to you. It's my favorite question to ask someone
- 20:04Speaker 4: that loves musical theater, what is your favorite show?
- 20:07Speaker 1: So, what's your favorite What's your favorite Broadway show?
- 20:11Speaker 7: I have such a big place in my heart for
- 20:14Speaker 7: Once on This Island. Okay, it was a show I
- 20:18Speaker 7: first became familiar with in high school. Yeah, and then
- 20:21Speaker 7: I went and saw it when it was in the
- 20:23Speaker 7: round in New York a few years ago, and it
- 20:26Speaker 7: still remains to be one of my favorite shows.
- 20:28Speaker 2: I didn't get the chance to see that production, but
- 20:30Speaker 2: it looked incredible. There's a clip going viral right now
- 20:32Speaker 2: actually of Zendeia in a production of Once of A's
- 20:35Speaker 2: Island way back.
- 20:36Speaker 5: Wait, was she like little baby t Moon? I think so, yeah,
- 20:39Speaker 5: that's of course, you guys heard of Zindia.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Goes big Summer. I think she's summer.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Yeah, Okay, I have some fan questions from one of
- 20:50Speaker 4: the fan questions of one of our very good friends,
- 20:53Speaker 4: and I think you know her, but Tanya Rat has
- 20:55Speaker 4: written us in and she needs to get some questions
- 20:59Speaker 4: off her chest.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Here.
- 20:59Speaker 4: On a scale of one to ten, how shocked were
- 21:01Speaker 4: you by the Nick and or Landia split news?
- 21:05Speaker 7: Nick and Orlandria, Yeah, I love both of them as individuals,
- 21:08Speaker 7: and I loved them as a couple. I think every listen,
- 21:13Speaker 7: people break up and that's just the nature of life, right,
- 21:16Speaker 7: And I think that everything that I mean. They haven't
- 21:20Speaker 7: really talked a lot about it, so it's hard to
- 21:22Speaker 7: know how either of them really is feeling right now.
- 21:25Speaker 7: But I, you know, I just hope that they're okay
- 21:27Speaker 7: and that they're both doing well, got it, and they
- 21:29Speaker 7: both continue to just kill it.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Well said, my wife was a massive fan of the show.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Didn't have a chance to say that before. We said
- 21:35Speaker 2: it before you came on. She's a massive fan. It's
- 21:37Speaker 2: her favorite show on TV, no way, and we got
- 21:40Speaker 2: the chance. We were on the red carpet for the
- 21:42Speaker 2: Golden Globes. It was I'm not exaggerating. It was at
- 21:45Speaker 2: least one hundred plus one hundred and two degrees inside
- 21:49Speaker 2: this like thing that they build because they were expecting
- 21:51Speaker 2: it to be cold in La during that time in January.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Fabrue whatever it was, but it was so hot.
- 21:56Speaker 7: It was hot.
- 21:56Speaker 2: And anyway, Lendria was right behind us and the line
- 22:00Speaker 2: and to go in the red carpet, and Prianca freaked out,
- 22:03Speaker 2: was very excited, and she was very nice and a
- 22:07Speaker 2: lovely conversation. So shout out Belindra for being so kind
- 22:11Speaker 2: to big fans here and.
- 22:12Speaker 5: That she's amazing.
- 22:14Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 22:15Speaker 7: I love.
- 22:16Speaker 5: Okay, next question, Yeah, what do you got?
- 22:19Speaker 4: This is from Tanya as well, which I think is
- 22:21Speaker 4: pretty hilarious. Does it annoy you that you have to
- 22:24Speaker 4: bring Andy Cohen along to co host The Love of
- 22:27Speaker 4: Island Reunions because you can totally handle it by your own.
- 22:30Speaker 4: She says one hundred percent. So does that annoy you?
- 22:32Speaker 4: You know, we all know Andy, we love him.
- 22:34Speaker 7: We love him. I appreciate her saying that that I
- 22:38Speaker 7: could do it myself. I definitely appreciate that, but I
- 22:41Speaker 7: have such a fun time doing it with Andy, so
- 22:44Speaker 7: does not annoy me. And I also feel like it's
- 22:47Speaker 7: nice to have. I don't know, I just think we
- 22:49Speaker 7: bounce off of each other really well. And I've known
- 22:51Speaker 7: him for so long that I just I don't know.
- 22:54Speaker 7: I like having him there. It's nice, and he has
- 22:57Speaker 7: great things to say, like great input too.
- 22:59Speaker 5: Yes, you know what he's.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Doing, he's great and if you're watching, he's great at TV.
- 23:03Speaker 8: He just gets it's just fun. It makes it makes
- 23:08Speaker 8: a spicy question, like so casual fun, but yeah, it's great,
- 23:14Speaker 8: pert playful.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Okay, this one's from Kendall. She says, do you watch
- 23:16Speaker 2: the Valley and do you have any pomo?
- 23:18Speaker 5: I don't watch the Valley, So that's.
- 23:23Speaker 1: About that, yeah, Kendall.
- 23:28Speaker 5: Yeah, Kendall.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Living her best life.
- 23:33Speaker 5: Take fomo somewhere else.
- 23:34Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm more of a joemo person, joy of missing
- 23:39Speaker 7: out person.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I've never heard that, and I think that's incredible.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Oh my god, we'll use that m I feel that
- 23:47Speaker 2: way sometimes, yeah, because you know, I'm a recovering fomo person.
- 23:54Speaker 2: But as as I get older, but as I get older,
- 23:57Speaker 2: I prefer to sit on my couch and and go
- 23:59Speaker 2: have fun. Do you guys, go do your thing. I'm
- 24:01Speaker 2: good here, Yeah, I'm good, right, fine, I'm good. I
- 24:04Speaker 2: have a question for you. This is another fan question.
- 24:07Speaker 2: You spend potentially around eight weeks a year in Fiji,
- 24:11Speaker 2: one of the most beautiful places none of us have
- 24:13Speaker 2: ever been. Where's a place in the world if they
- 24:16Speaker 2: change the location that you'd like to see Love Island,
- 24:20Speaker 2: go and you could work from for eight weeks.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Ooh okay.
- 24:24Speaker 7: Part of me wants to say somewhere I've never been,
- 24:26Speaker 7: so that I can then be yeah, working like paid
- 24:30Speaker 7: to work somewhere I've never been, totally. The other part
- 24:33Speaker 7: of me wants to say somewhere I've been because I
- 24:35Speaker 7: know that it's going to be great, because there's the
- 24:38Speaker 7: fear of the unknown that let's do.
- 24:40Speaker 5: So let's do both.
- 24:42Speaker 7: I think it would be really fun to shoot somewhere
- 24:46Speaker 7: in like tropical like maybe like Porta Iarta.
- 24:49Speaker 1: It would be cool, nice, that's great, beautiful.
- 24:52Speaker 7: And then somewhere I've never been that would be really
- 24:54Speaker 7: cool to shoot, and would be Brazil.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Oh, Brazil is tight, great answer. And where's the last
- 25:01Speaker 2: place on our suit wall?
- 25:02Speaker 5: Shoot Alaska?
- 25:06Speaker 1: Alaska?
- 25:07Speaker 5: I don't want to be cold. That'd be a tricky season.
- 25:10Speaker 5: It would be tough, a lot more sure clothing on
- 25:13Speaker 5: people like fur bikinis.
- 25:15Speaker 7: Maybe, oh, make it worse hot tough bikinis.
- 25:19Speaker 5: Okay, kinis.
- 25:21Speaker 2: We have our bowl of questions here, and these are
- 25:25Speaker 2: unrelated to anything in your life or career.
- 25:28Speaker 1: These are just random questions that we'd like to They're
- 25:31Speaker 1: going to say they're lit to ourker, you just got
- 25:35Speaker 1: to know answer. They're just the most random questions.
- 25:39Speaker 5: Okay, okay, cool is.
- 25:41Speaker 1: All of Island related? For some reason, it makes sense?
- 25:44Speaker 2: Okay, do you remember names easily or are you the
- 25:46Speaker 2: type of person who forgets them five seconds after hearing them.
- 25:50Speaker 5: I'm one or the other.
- 25:51Speaker 7: There will be people whose names, birthdays, phone numbers I
- 25:55Speaker 7: remember from now, right now, from twenty thirty years ago.
- 26:00Speaker 7: And then there will be someone I've met, maybe last week,
- 26:03Speaker 7: that it makes no sense for me to have forgotten
- 26:06Speaker 7: their name, but I have to be.
- 26:07Speaker 5: Reminded of what that person's name is.
- 26:09Speaker 7: But if I meet and hang out with someone, I
- 26:11Speaker 7: usually will remember their name.
- 26:13Speaker 5: So good.
- 26:14Speaker 1: This is Joe and this is Kevin.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, got it confused, Thanks Joe, thanks for that
- 26:22Speaker 2: welcome Okay, please go.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Question this was weird, but it's a good one. How
- 26:27Speaker 4: often do you wash your towels and sheets? No, we're
- 26:31Speaker 4: supposed to ask, I just picked this question.
- 26:38Speaker 5: No, I listen. I washed my sheets.
- 26:42Speaker 7: Probably every two like three days.
- 26:47Speaker 1: It depends on the answer. Great answer, correct answer, correct.
- 26:54Speaker 7: My towels, It depends on if I use how like
- 26:57Speaker 7: it's about it, it's usage, right.
- 26:59Speaker 1: So the spray tan was like you know that.
- 27:03Speaker 5: See that's definitely part of it.
- 27:08Speaker 4: And I know what it does to sheets and towels.
- 27:10Speaker 4: So a spray tan just one last multiple. What's your
- 27:15Speaker 4: go to fast food order?
- 27:17Speaker 6: Oh?
- 27:17Speaker 1: Nice?
- 27:19Speaker 5: I like Taco Bell hell yeah.
- 27:21Speaker 7: And Taco Bell crunch Wrap Supreme at Jalapenos.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I loved it.
- 27:27Speaker 5: We love it.
- 27:28Speaker 7: You know.
- 27:28Speaker 2: I was thinking about the other day. It's been a
- 27:30Speaker 2: long time since I had this. I was like, man,
- 27:32Speaker 2: that was that was a moment. I don't know if
- 27:33Speaker 2: you guys remember the the popcorn chicken that came in
- 27:37Speaker 2: the literal popcorn thinking CAFC.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Remember that, think about every day? It was so good popcorn.
- 27:44Speaker 5: Chicken over Popeyes.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Oh, Popeyes, Popeyes, I think wins for me. But now
- 27:51Speaker 2: raising canes is raising its hand as well. We also
- 27:58Speaker 2: have a voice mail. We get voicemails that that sometimes
- 28:01Speaker 2: are from anonymous people. This one's from an anonymous user. So,
- 28:03Speaker 2: I mean, it's going to be spicy, me spicy.
- 28:05Speaker 4: They don't want to and we give unsolicit advice that
- 28:08Speaker 4: we're not technically should be giving. Yeah, So and you're
- 28:12Speaker 4: with us on this now, okay play it.
- 28:18Speaker 9: Hello, I'm calling for some advice with my best friend.
- 28:23Speaker 6: She is stating a guy that I just don't love.
- 28:27Speaker 9: He's not the worst person in the world, but I
- 28:29Speaker 9: just he just definitely is not the type of person
- 28:32Speaker 9: that she has told me that she really wants to
- 28:35Speaker 9: be with. And he is in a band, so you
- 28:39Speaker 9: guys kind of have some knowledge of that. I feel
- 28:42Speaker 9: like the only reason she likes him is because he's
- 28:44Speaker 9: in a band and.
- 28:45Speaker 5: Really things that's good about him.
- 28:49Speaker 9: It's just about his music.
- 28:52Speaker 6: And not to say being in a band is bad,
- 28:55Speaker 6: but there's really not much else he has going for him,
- 28:58Speaker 6: and he's been with him about you now and we're
- 29:00Speaker 6: twenty seven, so I think she feels like block a ticket.
- 29:04Speaker 5: I better just like find the person.
- 29:06Speaker 6: Now and it'll be whoever it is.
- 29:08Speaker 9: But I just wanted some advice on if how and
- 29:12Speaker 9: if me and my friend should bring up maybe if
- 29:16Speaker 9: this isn't the right one, So thank you.
- 29:20Speaker 4: Ooh, this seems more like they're unhappy with the friends
- 29:24Speaker 4: and only the guy's music, so going on for.
- 29:28Speaker 5: Him, Yeah, what kind of music is it?
- 29:30Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 29:30Speaker 5: Exactly. He's like he's got this.
- 29:32Speaker 4: Thing he really like, is trying hard to like, you know,
- 29:35Speaker 4: finds a career path. But that's not why she doesn't
- 29:38Speaker 4: like it. No, she doesn't like him because she's like,
- 29:39Speaker 4: it doesn't seem like I hope it's a really famous musician.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Do you think she would be?
- 29:45Speaker 2: I hope it's like somebody really famous in a big band,
- 29:48Speaker 2: and she's like he just kind of sucks, like she
- 29:50Speaker 2: doesn't like the band at all.
- 29:52Speaker 5: Like it's like the weekend he thinks, he's.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Like it's bono. He says he has to go on tour.
- 29:58Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 29:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean if if she doesn't like him because
- 30:03Speaker 4: she doesn't think he's a good person. You should not
- 30:05Speaker 4: wait any time, you should talk to your friend.
- 30:08Speaker 7: I feel like there we're not getting a lot of
- 30:09Speaker 7: reasons why she doesn't like him. Aside from that, she
- 30:14Speaker 7: said she doesn't think her friend wants to be with
- 30:17Speaker 7: somebody in a band or something. Right.
- 30:19Speaker 4: She said that he's not doesn't have a lot going
- 30:21Speaker 4: on for him other than being in the band.
- 30:23Speaker 1: But she thinks music cames super famous.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Does she have the same conversation then, because then he's
- 30:29Speaker 4: like doing really well, But then that means more people
- 30:31Speaker 4: are going to hear this shitty music that she's maybe
- 30:33Speaker 4: she obviously doesn't like his music.
- 30:35Speaker 1: That's the only reason she doesn't like him.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Is really nice, But he's really nice.
- 30:41Speaker 1: He just happens to be in a band.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Yeah, controversial hot take I'll throw in there as a
- 30:45Speaker 2: maybe is that maybe she got out of the vand
- 30:48Speaker 2: maybe she's like feeling sort of friend jealous.
- 30:51Speaker 1: That could be a too.
- 30:52Speaker 2: She's maybe her friend is actually really into this guy,
- 30:55Speaker 2: spending more time with him, and she's just like this sucks,
- 30:59Speaker 2: Like my friend, your friends dating somebody who just has
- 31:01Speaker 2: like a he's like really passionate about Oh our signs falling?
- 31:05Speaker 5: Oh wow, it's a sign.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Let her be with the guy.
- 31:12Speaker 5: The guy.
- 31:14Speaker 4: Don't say anything, Do not say anything. This is like obsession.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Don't say anything.
- 31:21Speaker 2: I think that's probably a good place to live. You know,
- 31:24Speaker 2: this has been so much fun. Thank you for delicious,
- 31:27Speaker 2: Thank you so much, and thanks for the great conversation.
- 31:30Speaker 2: You're awesome. Congrats on your Emmy nomination.
- 31:33Speaker 5: Thank you. Enjoy and we are gonna love. We're gonna
- 31:39Speaker 5: eat all of them right now. What was Hollywood? Next
- 31:43Speaker 5: time you guys are.
- 31:44Speaker 10: In town, you'll be seeing us across the street. That's
- 31:47Speaker 10: something about exactly dun dum Spike shop across the street. Yeah,
- 31:54Speaker 10: all right, thank you, thanks so much.
- 31:56Speaker 5: Things. Guys, have a good day.
