- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Italian with Fexingo. I'm Lucas, and as always, I'm here with Luna. Luna: And I'm Luna. Hey, Lucas, I was just thinking about last episode, we were staring at the stars, right? Lucas: We were. And tonight, I thought we could shift our gaze a little higher. Tonight, we're talking about the moon. Luna: The moon. Oh, I love a full moon. It's so magical. Lucas: It is. And in Italian, a full moon is la luna è piena. Let's break that down. La luna means the moon. Luna: La luna. Lucas: And è piena means is full. So la luna è piena. Luna: La luna è piena. Lucas: Perfect. Now, when you see that big bright full moon, you might say la luna è piena. Try it once more. Luna: La luna è piena. Lucas: Great. So imagine you're standing outside, it's cold, and you look up. What do you say? Luna: La luna è piena. Lucas: Exactly. Now, the moon is not only full, it's also beautiful. So we can say la luna è bella. The moon is beautiful. Luna: La luna è bella. Lucas: Yes. And if you're admiring it, you might just say che bella luna. What a beautiful moon. Luna: Che bella luna. Lucas: Lovely. So we have la luna è piena, la luna è bella, and che bella luna. Let's practice them together. Repeat after me. Lucas: La luna è piena. Luna: La luna è piena. Lucas: La luna è bella. Luna: La luna è bella. Lucas: Che bella luna. Luna: Che bella luna. Lucas: You're doing so well. Now, if you want to say you're looking at the moon, you say guardo la luna. Guardo means I look at. Luna: Guardo la luna. Lucas: Perfect. And sometimes the moon seems really high up, so we say la luna è alta. The moon is high. Luna: La luna è alta. Lucas: Great. So let's put it all together in a tiny scene. Picture us outside, looking up. Lucas: Guardo la luna. Luna: La luna è piena. Lucas: Sì, la luna è bella. Luna: Che bella luna! Lucas: E la luna è alta. Luna: This is so nice. I could do this every night. Lucas: And that's exactly why we're here, to help you enjoy these moments in Italian.
