- 0:16Speaker 1: putt and practice. If you don't have time for a
- 0:19Speaker 1: full round, book your tea time today golf dot Breck
- 0:23Speaker 1: dot org, Golf dot Breck dot org. Jordan Schultze Fox
- 0:27Speaker 1: reported that the New Orleans Saints held a private workout
- 0:29Speaker 1: with Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe. And y'all know, because I've
- 0:34Speaker 1: been very transparent about this, I am good taking a
- 0:38Speaker 1: quarterback anywhere in this draft where the Saints may elect
- 0:41Speaker 1: to do it. If they want to take Shadr Sanders
- 0:42Speaker 1: at nine, I'm good with that. If the Saints say
- 0:45Speaker 1: at forty and Jackson darts there they want to take
- 0:48Speaker 1: Dart at forty, I'm good with that. If at the
- 0:50Speaker 1: end of round three, beginning of round four, they decide
- 0:54Speaker 1: they're going to jot down Quinn Youwer's name on the card,
- 0:57Speaker 1: hand it to the commissioner to read, I'm good with that,
- 1:00Speaker 1: My whole philosophy has been the whole nickel slot philosophy, right,
- 1:06Speaker 1: I mean, you got to keep feeding. It's low it's
- 1:08Speaker 1: low risk, potential, high reward. You got to keep feeding it. So, yeah,
- 1:11Speaker 1: I know you took Spencer Ratlet last year. But if
- 1:13Speaker 1: you kick a five a fifth round pick out after
- 1:16Speaker 1: a year, hangar a fourth round pick from the year
- 1:18Speaker 1: before you kick him out after Okay, not much loss,
- 1:21Speaker 1: nothing really gained. You're onto the next you're trying to hit.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You're trying to hit the jackpot. Okay, you're not looking
- 1:26Speaker 1: for a backup. Someone could make your practice. What you're
- 1:28Speaker 1: trying to hit. You're looking for dak in round four,
- 1:31Speaker 1: you're looking for cousins in round five. That's what you're
- 1:33Speaker 1: You're looking for your jackpot. And if you miss, no biggie,
- 1:35Speaker 1: So you blew a fifth round pick. Sames blow picks
- 1:37Speaker 1: all the time, and they trade up picks and they
- 1:38Speaker 1: waiste draft capital. They do it all the time. So
- 1:42Speaker 1: at the most important position, yes, I'm good with doing it,
- 1:45Speaker 1: but the value has to make sense. You don't take
- 1:47Speaker 1: a quarterback just to take a quarterback, is the point
- 1:49Speaker 1: that I'm making. You have to have a requisite value.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And the only spot in this draft where I think
- 1:55Speaker 1: there would be value in taking a player like Jaylen
- 1:57Speaker 1: Milroe would be late in Day three. Like if you're
- 1:59Speaker 1: sitting on a seventh round pick in the two fifties
- 2:01Speaker 1: and you're like, what the hell we took Tommy Stevens
- 2:03Speaker 1: with a seventh rounder, Let's take a shot on Jalen Milroe.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Like that would be my only approach where I think
- 2:09Speaker 1: it would be appropriate to take Jalen Milroe in this draft.
- 2:12Speaker 1: And I know some of y'all are going to say
- 2:14Speaker 1: you just don't want him because he's an Alabama guy. Bulloney,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I don't give a crap where you went to school.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I love cheering for Roman Harper into black and goal
- 2:24Speaker 1: mark Ingram scoring touchdowns. And I hated that draft pick
- 2:27Speaker 1: when they made it, but I didn't think they should
- 2:29Speaker 1: have traded back in a round one neither here nor there.
- 2:31Speaker 1: But I didn't hate mark Ingram was Saints all time
- 2:33Speaker 1: leading scorer at the time in rusher at the time
- 2:35Speaker 1: he left. They drafted kool Aid McKinstry last year and
- 2:38Speaker 1: I celebrated, Oh yeah, so he had nothing to do
- 2:40Speaker 1: it in being from Alabama It's got everything to do
- 2:43Speaker 1: with the fact that he is a great athlete. He
- 2:45Speaker 1: is not a great quarterback. He is a great arm talent,
- 2:48Speaker 1: he is not a great passer of the football. I
- 2:51Speaker 1: went and looked up Jalen milrose PFF under pressure numbers
- 2:56Speaker 1: from this football season. How about this. His offensive grade
- 3:01Speaker 1: overall offensive grade when he's got a clean pocket is
- 3:05Speaker 1: a ninety point two. That's elite. That's incredible. When he's
- 3:09Speaker 1: pressured fifty five point one. How About just his passer
- 3:15Speaker 1: grade when it's clean eighty eight point seven awesome. When
- 3:21Speaker 1: he's pressured fifty one point six. How about his fumble
- 3:26Speaker 1: rate when it's clean, seventy five point seven. When he's pressured,
- 3:30Speaker 1: he rates out of twenty eight point one awful. Jalen Milroe,
- 3:36Speaker 1: great athlete, great arm, very mid quarterback, very mid passer
- 3:45Speaker 1: of the football. He is the guy. This became so
- 3:48Speaker 1: crystal clear to me watching them in the Rose Bowl
- 3:51Speaker 1: against that Michigan team that effectively had an NFL defense
- 3:54Speaker 1: that won the National Championship two seasons ago, and against
- 3:57Speaker 1: that Michigan team, Jalen Milroe was absolutely put on a
- 4:01Speaker 1: leash sixteen of twenty three for a buck sixteen, no touchdowns,
- 4:06Speaker 1: no interception, sacked six times. He ran twenty one times
- 4:10Speaker 1: for sixty three yards, averaging three yards per carry against
- 4:14Speaker 1: an NFL defense. He did nothing. When he finally had
- 4:19Speaker 1: equal talent opposite him to match what he had offensively,
- 4:23Speaker 1: he was He melted. And that's what he is as
- 4:26Speaker 1: a quarterback. He lost four big games this year against
- 4:31Speaker 1: legitimate opponents. As a Vanderbilt like, he is a product.
- 4:37Speaker 1: His success in college is a product of having better
- 4:41Speaker 1: talent than everyone else. And when he was pressured, he wilted.
- 4:46Speaker 1: That is Jaln Milroe. Great athlete. There might be a
- 4:50Speaker 1: role for him somewhere. People keep saying, oh, the Taysom
- 4:53Speaker 1: Hill roll. You don't use a first, second, third round
- 4:57Speaker 1: pick on someone to be a gadget player. By the way,
- 4:59Speaker 1: how many Taysom Hills are there around the NFL? Last
- 5:04Speaker 1: I check, there's one one. You don't go draft that
- 5:10Speaker 1: guy because those guys don't really exist. He's a unicorn,
- 5:15Speaker 1: and I don't think Jalen Milroe has eyes on coming
- 5:17Speaker 1: into the NFL to be a gadget player. And you're
- 5:19Speaker 1: sure as hell not using a first, second, third round
- 5:21Speaker 1: pick on a gadget player, especially at quarterback. If you're
- 5:25Speaker 1: trying to draft a quarterback, you're trying to draft somebody
- 5:27Speaker 1: could be your franchise and that guy ain't it. I'll
- 5:30Speaker 1: stake everything I've ever said about football on that. Jalen
- 5:33Speaker 1: Milroe is never going to be a capable or quality
- 5:38Speaker 1: starting quarterback in the NFL. He's incapable throw jump balls
- 5:44Speaker 1: to Ryan Williams got freak shows doing pirouettes on the sideline,
- 5:47Speaker 1: bailing you out all the time. You got a clean pocket,
- 5:49Speaker 1: you got up. You got three four NFL receivers running
- 5:52Speaker 1: against DB's that can't keep up, and so you throw
- 5:54Speaker 1: the ball to open dudes in a clean pocket. Yeah.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Not not too tough to play quarterback in that pressure him.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I just read the numbers. His overall offensive grade clean
- 6:06Speaker 1: pocket ninety point two when he's pressured fifty five point one.
- 6:10Speaker 1: As a passer when it's cleaned eighty eight point seven
- 6:12Speaker 1: when he's pressured fifty one point six. He's not a
- 6:15Speaker 1: good quarterback. He is a great athlete, he's a great runner.
- 6:21Speaker 1: He has a he could throw the ball a mile.
- 6:23Speaker 1: He is not a good quarterback. He is not a
- 6:26Speaker 1: good passer of the football and I and if the Saints.
- 6:30Speaker 1: If the New Orleans Saints draft Jalen Milroe, I am
- 6:35Speaker 1: out also talk about him because I have to for
- 6:38Speaker 1: my job. But my emotional investment in the New Orleans
- 6:41Speaker 1: Saints is my team will go to zero. My give
- 6:44Speaker 1: a damn about this football team will go to zero.
- 6:46Speaker 1: If they try to hitch their wagon to Jalen Milrow,
- 6:49Speaker 1: that would be a disaster. As much of a disaster
- 6:53Speaker 1: as this organization has already shown to be with their
- 6:56Speaker 1: inability to manage the salary cap with piss in a
- 7:00Speaker 1: way basically the last five drafts, with given bad contracts
- 7:05Speaker 1: to old players, with continuing to retain Gumsmack and Mickey
- 7:13Speaker 1: despite all of the failures. In a league where everybody
- 7:16Speaker 1: gets fired, the Saints are a place where nobody gets fired.
- 7:23Speaker 1: That that will be the ton of bricks that breaks
- 7:28Speaker 1: the Camel's back. Draft Jaln Milroe, I'm out if they
- 7:31Speaker 1: draft Milrow all the way out
