Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: Hey guys, we are back on. Normally, the show is normal.
- 0:05Speaker 1: It takes for when the news gets weird. I am
- 0:08Speaker 1: Mary catherin.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hamp And I'm Carol Marcowitt.
- 0:10Speaker 1: I'm Mary Catherine. You were on a very interesting trip
- 0:14Speaker 1: this weekend.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I was.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I had a very meaningful Memorial Day weekend, which I
- 0:19Speaker 1: always try to have a grateful and great Memorial Day
- 0:21Speaker 1: weekend because it is a solemn holiday on top of
- 0:24Speaker 1: being the kickoff of summer. But I was in a
- 0:27Speaker 1: position to really appreciate the sacrifices of our soldiers from
- 0:31Speaker 1: years gone by because I was in Poland for a
- 0:34Speaker 1: tour of several of the death camps. Not to start
- 0:38Speaker 1: us off on a really dark foot this morning, but
- 0:42Speaker 1: it was a very overwhelming trip. It's hard to think
- 0:47Speaker 1: the human psyche is not great, even at taking in
- 0:49Speaker 1: one or two deaths of people you know close to you,
- 0:53Speaker 1: and then to try to absorb the truth of what
- 0:57Speaker 1: truly happens. There is a lot for one weekend, but
- 1:01Speaker 1: it did make me think even more about those who
- 1:05Speaker 1: gladly and bravely went to fight against those horrors during
- 1:09Speaker 1: World War Two. My grandparents were among them. Thankfully did
- 1:12Speaker 1: not lose their lives in that war, which is why
- 1:15Speaker 1: I'm here today. It was incredibly disturbing and moving, and
- 1:21Speaker 1: there were of course stories of survival and the righteous
- 1:25Speaker 1: among the nations helping out. We visited the Warsaw Zoo,
- 1:29Speaker 1: where the zoo keeper and his wife saved more than
- 1:32Speaker 1: three hundred Jews during the Holocaust by having them stay
- 1:37Speaker 1: in their basement and be shipped off to other places
- 1:39Speaker 1: in Poland. I know you've been to Poland before. Just
- 1:42Speaker 1: a very h just truly a sad story of a
- 1:47Speaker 1: nation where so many Jews and Catholics in the way
- 1:51Speaker 1: that it was possible to coexist in the early twentieth century,
- 1:54Speaker 1: had actually found ways to do that in certain places,
- 1:57Speaker 1: and then the whole n just gets overrun and exterminated,
- 2:04Speaker 1: not just Jews, but like millions and millions of Catholics
- 2:07Speaker 1: as well in Poland, and then they get the Communists.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Like it is. It a very sad story of a
- 2:13Speaker 1: nation torn apart. It is, and also a lovely place
- 2:17Speaker 1: now by the way.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I loved Warsaw. I thought it was a beautiful
- 2:23Speaker 2: little city.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and fairly prosperous at this point too, because of
- 2:29Speaker 1: some free market inclinations of that country versus other places
- 2:33Speaker 1: in Europe, but the current events tie in. Unfortunately, there
- 2:38Speaker 1: is one is that as I was flying to this,
- 2:42Speaker 1: you know, very intentional tour to take in this sad history.
- 2:47Speaker 1: On my layover, I heard about the murder of too
- 2:50Speaker 1: young Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, d C. Which just
- 2:55Speaker 1: adds another layer of well, this is what we're learning about,
- 3:00Speaker 1: clearly an act of political terrorism perpetrated by a man
- 3:06Speaker 1: from Chicago who's a lefty anti Zionist activist and decided
- 3:12Speaker 1: that the way to express that was to cold blooded
- 3:14Speaker 1: murder to young, promising Jewish people in Washington, d C.
- 3:19Speaker 1: On the street.
- 3:20Speaker 2: So what's interesting is actually the man that was murdered
- 3:24Speaker 2: is a Christian. And I feel like a lot of
- 3:28Speaker 2: people don't realize that, but he is an Israeli Christian.
- 3:31Speaker 2: He served in the IDF, but he was raised a
- 3:35Speaker 2: Christian and he was pretty committed to his Christianity. The
- 3:42Speaker 2: ambassador made a comment about him being a dedicated Christian.
- 3:46Speaker 2: What I think people need to get about that and
- 3:49Speaker 2: why I think it's important to mention that they weren't
- 3:51Speaker 2: both Jews, is this is not going to just come
- 3:56Speaker 2: for Jews. And while I am very, very worried about
- 4:00Speaker 2: the rise of anti Semitism in America, I've been worried
- 4:03Speaker 2: about this for a good, you know, decade plus, I
- 4:06Speaker 2: think what people need to really see here is leftist
- 4:11Speaker 2: violence is growing, and it is. Yes, it targets right
- 4:16Speaker 2: now Jews or you know, quote unquote Zionist, which is
- 4:21Speaker 2: just people who have the belief that Israel should exist,
- 4:24Speaker 2: which could be anybody. Really. I think even people who
- 4:28Speaker 2: I've heard kind of you know, be on the anti
- 4:32Speaker 2: Israel side, ultimately a lot of them think Israel should
- 4:35Speaker 2: exist anyway, and they are Zionists. Therefore, so this kind
- 4:39Speaker 2: of violence is spreading. I wrote about.
- 4:43Speaker 1: It for The Post a few weeks ago.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I called it, you know, assassination culture, the killing of
- 4:48Speaker 2: the healthcare CEO in the street, and you know, the
- 4:51Speaker 2: killer being celebrated. All of that is puts us in
- 4:55Speaker 2: a really dangerous place.
- 4:57Speaker 1: When you can kill people on the.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Street because you don't like their opinions and then be
- 5:02Speaker 2: celebrated for it, it will create more copycats, it will
- 5:05Speaker 2: create more danger for us. All So again, while yes,
- 5:10Speaker 2: you know it, obviously I see it. I see problems
- 5:13Speaker 2: for Jews. I think it's a real problem for all Americans,
- 5:18Speaker 2: and I well that people see it that way.
- 5:20Speaker 1: No, I think that's important too. And in the official
- 5:23Speaker 1: channels and in the neutral channels where people would you know,
- 5:26Speaker 1: should and condemn these things, you get you know, the
- 5:30Speaker 1: ilhan Omars of the world. Yeah, who say nothing and
- 5:33Speaker 1: walk away. She's just not going to comment on that.
- 5:36Speaker 1: You get very mainstream, like just elite college professors and
- 5:42Speaker 1: stuff applauding this action, justifying this action, or in places
- 5:47Speaker 1: like CNN, you get reporting that says like we can't
- 5:50Speaker 1: find any evidence of leftist extremism, like it doesn't exist.
- 5:55Speaker 1: But to your point, when people gather under the banner
- 5:58Speaker 1: of Hamas or has Bela, Hamas and Hesbla are not
- 6:02Speaker 1: just dedicated to the extermination of the Jews, although that
- 6:05Speaker 1: is their first priority. It is about overtaking all of us.
- 6:12Speaker 1: That is the express value of a hezbolah or a Hamas.
- 6:17Speaker 1: That's that that is their mission. So that's a that's
- 6:20Speaker 1: a great point. Absolutely, just the very sad story your
- 6:24Speaker 1: own Litchinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgram were their names, by
- 6:28Speaker 1: all accounts, just lovely people who are perhaps just about
- 6:32Speaker 1: engaged to be about to be engaged to be married, and.
- 6:36Speaker 2: She was a Peacenik, which is another you know frame
- 6:39Speaker 2: to this is they keep killing the piece necks, they
- 6:42Speaker 2: keep killing the people that want to figure out a
- 6:46Speaker 2: way to live together. And you know this idea that
- 6:52Speaker 2: they're just killing, you know, China Sidle Zionists, they're they're
- 6:57Speaker 2: really killing people who want the best for Palestinians. I
- 7:01Speaker 2: always like to say Israeli's care about Palestinians more than
- 7:06Speaker 2: Palestinian leadership does.
- 7:07Speaker 1: This another example of that, another example of that. By
- 7:10Speaker 1: the way, this will make your blood boil in a
- 7:12Speaker 1: very special way. The morning that we went to alshwitzen Berkenal,
- 7:15Speaker 1: the spot on which one point three million people were murdered,
- 7:21Speaker 1: about twenty minutes from there, I stay, not a long
- 7:24Speaker 1: car drive from there in crackout on the town square,
- 7:27Speaker 1: we were sort of decompressing as a group after this
- 7:30Speaker 1: very heavy morning. And you know, several days of this
- 7:34Speaker 1: trip and there was a you know, pro Homas, yeah,
- 7:38Speaker 1: free Palestine march through the crackout Poland public square, and
- 7:45Speaker 1: I just it really in that moment crystallizes this is
- 7:52Speaker 1: why Israel must and will exist forever. Like you ran
- 7:57Speaker 1: them out of Israel, they go to Poland, you exterminate
- 8:02Speaker 1: them from Poland. And then the lefties on campuses here
- 8:06Speaker 1: brilliantly are like, you guys just got to go back
- 8:08Speaker 1: to your homeland in Poland, like right, because there's a
- 8:12Speaker 1: whole group of people still in this place, thirty minutes
- 8:15Speaker 1: from Auschwitz, who are like, I don't like when the
- 8:18Speaker 1: Jews fight back, yeah, just boldly proclaiming they may have
- 8:23Speaker 1: there were some words between their group and ours. Oh
- 8:26Speaker 1: really so still little but you know, was a guy
- 8:30Speaker 1: Benson was a guy Benson's we're in trouble. No, he
- 8:32Speaker 1: but he wished he was there because he did not
- 8:34Speaker 1: get to engage in that. But I don't know if
- 8:37Speaker 1: it was the same group, but I saw reports of
- 8:41Speaker 1: of propolsity and protesters being inside a synagogue shouting down
- 8:46Speaker 1: a Jewish event at a senegag. There's like thirteen Jews
- 8:50Speaker 1: left in Poland, like and still they cannot engage in
- 8:55Speaker 1: just having a public event. No they can't. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 1: It's a very it's a hard place to get to,
- 9:03Speaker 1: but it is a and a hard experience, but one
- 9:07Speaker 1: that I recommend for really, I mean, as much as
- 9:09Speaker 1: you know on paper when you see it, it's, like
- 9:15Speaker 1: I said, very much clarifies the reason that that a
- 9:18Speaker 1: place where the Jews can be in defend themselves and
- 9:22Speaker 1: live in harmony with those who choose to live in
- 9:24Speaker 1: Israel as this Christian man did and make make that
- 9:28Speaker 1: country his love and his cause is just so important.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Absolutely well. This is actually isn't one of our official
- 9:36Speaker 2: topics for today. This is just the intro to the
- 9:39Speaker 2: normally program Democrats, Mary Catherine, how are they doing?
- 9:46Speaker 1: You know? Not great? There was a new New York
- 9:50Speaker 1: Times piece illustrating just I feel like every week there's
- 9:55Speaker 1: new data or new crunching of data, but illustrates to
- 10:00Speaker 1: the left like a giant flashing red sign, the things
- 10:05Speaker 1: you are doing are not working. The things you are
- 10:09Speaker 1: doing are being rejected by the very people you claim
- 10:13Speaker 1: to want to help. I mean, in huge numbers. They
- 10:16Speaker 1: can tell themselves all day, as we discussed last week,
- 10:18Speaker 1: that you know, they're doing this for working class and minorities.
- 10:21Speaker 1: And that's why they're so special and good is that
- 10:23Speaker 1: they make they want to make life better for those
- 10:26Speaker 1: other people, and those exact groups are saying no right,
- 10:30Speaker 1: and people listen to them. In this New York Times
- 10:35Speaker 1: piece goes into over a couple of elections, how the
- 10:40Speaker 1: vast majority of counties in this country have moved notably
- 10:47Speaker 1: right over three elections. Right, and that is that's a
- 10:50Speaker 1: bad sort of thing here.
- 10:52Speaker 2: It wasn't just this last election, it was the last
- 10:57Speaker 2: three that have seen a real shift to the right
- 11:01Speaker 2: in the country.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it says, this is Shane Goldknocker reporting this all told.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Trump has improved every election in fourteen hundred and thirty
- 11:10Speaker 1: three of the nation's thirty one hundred plus counties, even
- 11:14Speaker 1: when he lost in twenty twenty, Democrats have expanded their
- 11:17Speaker 1: votes share continuously in only fifty seven counties. Yeah. And
- 11:22Speaker 1: the demographics of those counties are exactly what you would
- 11:25Speaker 1: expect if you're us, right, but not what their self
- 11:28Speaker 1: conception is. It's just like very elite, affluent, very liberal places.
- 11:33Speaker 1: That's right, It's just not. Yes, I say, three of
- 11:37Speaker 1: the fourteen hundred Trump counties have a median household income
- 11:41Speaker 1: above one hundred thousand. Eighteen of the fifty seven Democratic
- 11:45Speaker 1: counties had a medium income above one hundred thousand.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and he notes in not one of the triple
- 11:52Speaker 2: trending Trump counties did. A majority of adults have a
- 11:56Speaker 2: college degree, which is quite significant, and in the fifteen
- 12:01Speaker 2: hundred counties with the smallest portion proportion of college graduates,
- 12:05Speaker 2: only one steadily voted more Democratic. Over the last three elections,
- 12:11Speaker 2: Trump has solidified this working class base and Democrats really
- 12:17Speaker 2: don't seem to know what.
- 12:18Speaker 1: To do about it.
- 12:19Speaker 2: And look, we've said it on the show plenty of times.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I think it's enjoyable right now to watch the Democrats
- 12:25Speaker 2: scramble around and not know what they're doing. But this
- 12:30Speaker 2: can all change. This is not we are not like, Wow,
- 12:34Speaker 2: Republicans are going to win forever and Democrats are never
- 12:37Speaker 2: going to win again, because I feel like that's what
- 12:39Speaker 2: happens when one party is doing significantly better than the others.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Of the conversation, I don't want to be a part
- 12:46Speaker 2: of that because I find that so ridiculous.
- 12:49Speaker 1: The Democrats will return.
- 12:51Speaker 2: It is not under the Democrats. But it is kind
- 12:54Speaker 2: of fun right now just seeing where.
- 12:58Speaker 1: A small counterpoint to that, because I you're exactly right,
- 13:01Speaker 1: things will swing Democrats. I mean, Republicans will overplay their hands,
- 13:04Speaker 1: and I think they have less leeway for doing that
- 13:07Speaker 1: than Democrats do because they the Democrats have the press
- 13:10Speaker 1: to laud them and the Republicans do not. Right, but
- 13:13Speaker 1: we have seen a significant shift in the like sort
- 13:15Speaker 1: of generic ballot and how people identify all over Pennsylvania.
- 13:20Speaker 1: You've seen these counties flip to red in registration and
- 13:24Speaker 1: there's a continued effort led by Scott Presler to continue
- 13:27Speaker 1: that in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. So they are real
- 13:30Speaker 1: on the ground, like structural gains being made. The other
- 13:35Speaker 1: point that might save the Republicans for themselves from themselves
- 13:39Speaker 1: when this eventually happens, when the Democrats sort of like
- 13:42Speaker 1: swing back. The other way is that the good governments
- 13:45Speaker 1: in places like Florida, Georgia, Texas as compared to California,
- 13:51Speaker 1: New York, the places where the abundance Democrats are now
- 13:54Speaker 1: screaming like maybe we should make things I don't know
- 13:57Speaker 1: work here. What has happened is that those places in
- 14:02Speaker 1: the South and in well governed Republican states have become
- 14:07Speaker 1: a magnet for so many people that when you start
- 14:10Speaker 1: doing the census assessments in twenty thirty, it gets a
- 14:16Speaker 1: lot harder for Democrats to win a presidency because so
- 14:21Speaker 1: many people will have moved to states that are more
- 14:25Speaker 1: inclined to be read, and once they're there, if they
- 14:28Speaker 1: encounter good governance from Republicans, they tend not to want
- 14:34Speaker 1: to California, There, Georgia exactly. So that is that's a
- 14:38Speaker 1: real structural issue for Democrats that is coming down the pike.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Oh and one more point to that is that all
- 14:46Speaker 1: the brain drain from Northeast and mid Atlantic folks who
- 14:51Speaker 1: used to send their kids to the Northeast in ivys
- 14:54Speaker 1: for school and no longer either can or want to
- 14:57Speaker 1: because of the way that admissions works. A lot of
- 15:01Speaker 1: those very smart and promising young people are going to
- 15:04Speaker 1: the South to get their education and then they're like,
- 15:07Speaker 1: I like it here. Yeah, right, So it's gonna snowball, absolutely.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And there's a lot of writing and thinking on the
- 15:17Speaker 2: twenty twenty census not being correct.
- 15:20Speaker 1: So it was not right.
- 15:21Speaker 2: It's going to be really something to see in twenty
- 15:24Speaker 2: thirty when we do have a real census where we
- 15:28Speaker 2: see where people have ended up, and it's blue. States
- 15:33Speaker 2: are going to lose Congressional seats in California and New
- 15:35Speaker 2: York are definitely poised to lose. Some other states are
- 15:38Speaker 2: going to lose them as well. What that will mean
- 15:41Speaker 2: for eventual Democrat comeback remains to be seen. Adam Gentilsen
- 15:49Speaker 2: he was a former Fetterman chief of staff. He also
- 15:52Speaker 2: worked for Harry Reid. He tweeted about this article everyone
- 15:56Speaker 2: should read and absorb this candidate quality and breaks kept
- 16:01Speaker 2: Dems barely above water for a while, Biden winning by
- 16:04Speaker 2: forty five thousand boats, et cetera. But now we're getting
- 16:07Speaker 2: swamped by the fundamentals. People simply do not like what
- 16:11Speaker 2: we're offering. If Democrats take that line seriously, then they
- 16:18Speaker 2: will make a comeback sooner than later. I don't know
- 16:22Speaker 2: that they take it seriously. I'm not sure that they
- 16:26Speaker 2: are willing to absorb that lesson. I think that they're
- 16:29Speaker 2: at the moment still kind of licking their wounds and
- 16:33Speaker 2: feeling like will figure this out and they will like
- 16:37Speaker 2: what we're selling eventually.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I'm not sure that that's going to work out for them.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Wesley Ying posted.
- 16:47Speaker 2: He posted the coloradens will be mandated by law to
- 16:51Speaker 2: bear the cost of cheek implants, lip augmentation, knows jobs, yes,
- 16:55Speaker 2: implants for men who are trying to be women, and
- 17:00Speaker 2: he notes the Democrat you know, everyone said the Democrats
- 17:04Speaker 2: will have to moderate on this issue. It's eighty twenty issue.
- 17:07Speaker 2: They can't fight public opinion forever, and wes le Yank
- 17:11Speaker 2: says no.
- 17:11Speaker 1: They will literally mandate.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Every public accommodation in the state must use the preferred
- 17:17Speaker 2: pronoun of anyone claiming to be a cross sex identity,
- 17:20Speaker 2: strip custody from parents who don't agree that their artistic
- 17:23Speaker 2: daughter who fell down a TikTok rabbit hole and believe
- 17:26Speaker 2: she's a boy is actually a boy, and force every
- 17:28Speaker 2: citizen to pay for the cheek implants of any man
- 17:30Speaker 2: who wants to feminize his face. Democrats are refusing to
- 17:35Speaker 2: moderate on issues like this, and we're going to see
- 17:38Speaker 2: what happens with that.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I mean, this is actually insane, by the way, just
- 17:43Speaker 1: so patently insane. By the way, there's plenty of like
- 17:48Speaker 1: perimenopausal and menopausal women who would be glad to take
- 17:51Speaker 1: you up on this publicly subsidized right laser treatments and
- 17:55Speaker 1: chick plants, Like what is happening that you I'm presumably,
- 18:00Speaker 1: because this is all subjective, if you lived in Colorado
- 18:04Speaker 1: and you were just a woman who felt like you
- 18:06Speaker 1: wanted some filler, I mean, you could you could, like
- 18:09Speaker 1: I am I am a man or I want to
- 18:11Speaker 1: go the other direction. Here's what But I guess it's
- 18:14Speaker 1: only in Colorado. What if I just visit like I
- 18:19Speaker 1: just need to identify for a certain period of time.
- 18:21Speaker 1: But I guess, once again, this would only really benefit dudes, right,
- 18:26Speaker 1: because the dudes are the ones who get the feminizations surgery.
- 18:31Speaker 1: So if he showed up the other way, it wouldn't
- 18:33Speaker 1: it wouldn't really work for you. Ah floiled again women, No,
- 18:37Speaker 1: I do think, by the way, Gentlesen who says this
- 18:41Speaker 1: and he's correct, is the same Gentlesen who is in
- 18:44Speaker 1: the New Yorker in that piece blowing up Fetterment. Yeah.
- 18:48Speaker 1: So Fetterman is the model for how a purple to
- 18:53Speaker 1: red state Democrat would attract people other than progressive and
- 18:59Speaker 1: by being sort of sensible and outspoken about how sensible
- 19:02Speaker 1: he is on eighty twenty issues. And what does Adam
- 19:05Speaker 1: Jentilsen do. He goes and sabotages that guy because he
- 19:08Speaker 1: doesn't like what he says. It's true, like call back,
- 19:11Speaker 1: I didn't realize it was the same guy that I
- 19:13Speaker 1: believe that's the same guy. So you have that issue
- 19:17Speaker 1: right where they continue to live in this ecosystem where
- 19:21Speaker 1: if you do veer into non progressive points of view,
- 19:27Speaker 1: which is what the voters would like you to do,
- 19:30Speaker 1: there's gonna be someone to come around and police you
- 19:32Speaker 1: for that and take you down. So I actually do
- 19:35Speaker 1: think it would be good if this shift means that
- 19:40Speaker 1: Democrats have to learn to compete in Louisiana and Florida.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And you know, if you get your models from there,
- 19:49Speaker 1: they will be healthier models than Nancy Pelosi.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Like, yeah, that would be nice, But are the Democrats
- 19:58Speaker 2: doing that? Let's get to our second topic. We'll be
- 20:01Speaker 2: right back on. Normally, the Democrats are poised to spend
- 20:08Speaker 2: twenty million dollars to help them understand men. Now that's
- 20:14Speaker 2: interesting because first of all, I'm not sure twenty million
- 20:17Speaker 2: dollars is going to do it, But second of all,
- 20:20Speaker 2: Trump just outworked them. I think that they're really getting
- 20:24Speaker 2: to where they think there's some magic bullet this whole
- 20:29Speaker 2: We need a liberal Joe Rogan, and all the conservatives
- 20:31Speaker 2: are like, you had a.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Liberal Joe Rogan.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Joe Rogan is the liberal Joe Rogan. He offered Kamala
- 20:38Speaker 2: Harris to have her on the show. She could not
- 20:41Speaker 2: do that, so Trump outworked them. He went into all
- 20:45Speaker 2: of these communities and said I want your vote, and yes,
- 20:48Speaker 2: he consolidated the mail vote. Because Democrats are on this
- 20:52Speaker 2: crazy tear. They've treated masculinity as toxic for so long.
- 20:57Speaker 2: They've everything all the articles that you and I always
- 21:01Speaker 2: joke about. Red meat is maga coded, and liking women
- 21:06Speaker 2: is maga coded. And if you turn everything that men
- 21:09Speaker 2: enjoy into maga coded, they're going to stay maybe on maga.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's actually very quite simple, as you say, like that,
- 21:20Speaker 1: if you tell a group of voters that you'd like,
- 21:23Speaker 1: whose vote you would like for twenty years, that they're
- 21:27Speaker 1: basically just toxic trash, that's the problem with everything in America.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Those people will not want to vote for you, right,
- 21:34Speaker 1: and the left has done that in such aggressive ways
- 21:38Speaker 1: to men that it No, it doesn't surprise me that
- 21:43Speaker 1: young men who many of whom couldn't graduate or couldn't
- 21:47Speaker 1: go to prom and have been told because of COVID regulations,
- 21:50Speaker 1: that had been told that they are toxic for fifteen
- 21:53Speaker 1: years for the entirety of their growing up. Yes, they
- 21:56Speaker 1: do turn to other sources to to look for someone
- 22:01Speaker 1: who I don't know, doesn't hate them. That's that's part
- 22:04Speaker 1: of the quest, right, No.
- 22:05Speaker 2: It seems easy that, you know, don't hate your voters.
- 22:09Speaker 1: You're absolutely right. By the way, the dude who's supposed
- 22:13Speaker 1: to be their savior on this, remember Hassan Piker who
- 22:15Speaker 1: we've talked about. Yeah, he was suspended by Twitch over
- 22:18Speaker 1: the weekend or over last week during the news cycle
- 22:23Speaker 1: about that shooting in DC because he's saying things like,
- 22:27Speaker 1: you know, maybe there's no I don't think this person
- 22:30Speaker 1: acted out of an anti sindemitic desire, and he wanted
- 22:32Speaker 1: to truly understand the very reasonable reasons that someone would
- 22:36Speaker 1: murder these two people in the streets.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Because that he doesn't know anything about in the street.
- 22:41Speaker 1: What can it be.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Just?
- 22:44Speaker 1: I also just think there is a total lack in
- 22:49Speaker 1: democratic elite and consulting class and people who would be
- 22:54Speaker 1: listened to of anyone who is just a right because
- 23:02Speaker 1: since they've thought dudeness was toxic for twenty years, they
- 23:06Speaker 1: filtered it out. Anyone who moved up the chain was
- 23:10Speaker 1: not a guy who just likes doing dude things. And
- 23:15Speaker 1: I think that now they have none, which is why
- 23:19Speaker 1: they have to pay twenty million dollars. By the way,
- 23:21Speaker 1: can I please get paid for that. I have a
- 23:24Speaker 1: do I have a contract for you in which I
- 23:27Speaker 1: will give you powerpoints about how these are the things
- 23:31Speaker 1: that dudes enjoy.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I mean, I just just like, stop saying that everything
- 23:34Speaker 2: that they like is bad. I just I can't see
- 23:37Speaker 2: the same thing for women. Like, you know, if you
- 23:41Speaker 2: like this, then you you're you're maga codd. I mean
- 23:44Speaker 2: we get some of that with the sheet dresses and all. Yeah,
- 23:48Speaker 2: but it's like if they targeted what women enjoy in
- 23:52Speaker 2: mass like, if they were like liking Taylor Swift is
- 23:55Speaker 2: now bad.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it just it, they would lose women too.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I feel like they don't understand that just coming for
- 24:02Speaker 2: everything that women that men enjoy is a problem for them.
- 24:07Speaker 2: John Hassen summed it up as working out is right wing,
- 24:11Speaker 2: Liking hawk girls is right wing. Eating red and meat
- 24:13Speaker 2: his right wing. And he posted the articles He's not
- 24:15Speaker 2: just you know, floating these ideas. He posted the articles
- 24:18Speaker 2: that these are problem from MSNBC, from Newsweek, from the Nation,
- 24:22Speaker 2: and then we need twenty million dollars to understand why
- 24:24Speaker 2: young men hate us, Like, I have some clues for
- 24:27Speaker 2: you guys.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Yes, By the way, can I point out our buddy,
- 24:30Speaker 1: Clay Travis has a new book out that I just
- 24:35Speaker 1: love the concept and the title of so Much Balls,
- 24:39Speaker 1: How Trump, Young Men and Sports Saved America, which I
- 24:42Speaker 1: do think is a large part of the story of
- 24:45Speaker 1: the twenty twenty four election, and it's partly just because
- 24:48Speaker 1: Trump was like, I don't hate y'all. I'm going to
- 24:51Speaker 1: go talk to the people that you enjoy listening to
- 24:54Speaker 1: and not try to pretend to be something I'm not.
- 24:57Speaker 1: And then David Hogg goes on Bill Maher and is like, hey,
- 25:00Speaker 1: here's a couple things dudes like, and they were like,
- 25:03Speaker 1: cancel him immediately. I mean, cancel that dude. Yeah, and
- 25:09Speaker 1: it's like he's barely a dude, you know. He's like,
- 25:13Speaker 1: I know, he's the best they've got, and well he's
- 25:15Speaker 1: and he's trying to sha I like the pivot to dude,
- 25:18Speaker 1: Like it's like this, I'm I'm just al, just normal,
- 25:21Speaker 1: red blooded male. David Hogg, No, you're not right.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Clay Travis in twenty seventeen made news when he went
- 25:29Speaker 2: on CNN and said the two things he believes in
- 25:33Speaker 2: completely are the First Amendment and boobs and if the
- 25:37Speaker 2: Democrats kind of returned to that follow Clay Travis.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I believe I have to look it up, but I
- 25:42Speaker 1: believe I publicly supported him in that back and forth
- 25:46Speaker 1: because I was like, I don't I don't think this
- 25:48Speaker 1: is offensive everyone who's fainting on their couch right now,
- 25:54Speaker 1: and also seems like sort of obvious.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Yeah, he says he was banned from the network after
- 26:00Speaker 2: saying that, And you know, he also noted that he
- 26:04Speaker 2: was banned from the network. But the guy who was
- 26:06Speaker 2: caught masturbating on camera, he was brought back.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, if I remember correctly, the anchor took great
- 26:12Speaker 1: umbrage at this, and I'm just imagining if I had
- 26:16Speaker 1: been in the anchor chair, like I would have just
- 26:18Speaker 1: laughed right, like it's funny, it's funny, It's okay, it's okay.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Well, speaking of boobs, like, let's.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Move into our last topic.
- 26:29Speaker 3: We're going to take a short break and come right
- 26:31Speaker 3: back with Normally, I watched the American Music Awards yesterday,
- 26:39Speaker 3: and I generally I'm not a TV watcher.
- 26:42Speaker 2: We've talked about it on here before. I don't watch shows,
- 26:44Speaker 2: I don't watch movies. I certainly don't watch award shows.
- 26:48Speaker 2: But yesterday there was this whole thing where I don't
- 26:52Speaker 2: know if people aren't crazy, like the way I live
- 26:55Speaker 2: with a crazy Taylor Swift fan in my house.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Okay, I was wondering, like, what's the occasion for the
- 27:00Speaker 1: casing for this?
- 27:01Speaker 2: There was this Taylor Swift fans are waiting for her
- 27:05Speaker 2: to re release a reputation Taylor's Version album, And there
- 27:11Speaker 2: was a rumor and Taylor like leaves these breadcrumbs for
- 27:15Speaker 2: her fans to follow, and it's this whole thing. And
- 27:18Speaker 2: if you're not in the cult, don't join it now,
- 27:22Speaker 2: is all I would say to you. But my daughter
- 27:24Speaker 2: is in the cult, and she had she didn't think
- 27:27Speaker 2: she was really gonna happen, but a widespread rumor that
- 27:31Speaker 2: Taylor was going to announce the re release on this show.
- 27:35Speaker 2: That did not happen, but we watched the whole show.
- 27:39Speaker 2: I have to say, the vibe shift was very real.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Women were dressed very feminine. I think the last few
- 27:48Speaker 2: years we've seen less of that. I've tweeted the boobs
- 27:52Speaker 2: are back many times over the last years. Boobs appear
- 27:56Speaker 2: to be truly back. Also, the military were celebrated and
- 28:01Speaker 2: mentioned a lot. It was Memorial Day. They had a
- 28:04Speaker 2: large military presence in the crowd, certainly felt different, no
- 28:08Speaker 2: political commentary whatsoever. But I should note it was also
- 28:12Speaker 2: like a very sealless event. Almost none of the people
- 28:16Speaker 2: who want awards actually attended Billie Eilish one eminem One.
- 28:21Speaker 1: They were not in the crowd.
- 28:23Speaker 2: And so it was interesting because it definitely felt vibe shifty,
- 28:28Speaker 2: but it also felt like a very low budget event.
- 28:32Speaker 1: That is interesting to me that a bunch of people
- 28:34Speaker 1: didn't show up, And I wonder if some of that
- 28:36Speaker 1: is just like some of that is just like these
- 28:39Speaker 1: old ways of doing things are losing power, right right,
- 28:43Speaker 1: It's just not as special to be at one of
- 28:47Speaker 1: these events as it used to be. It's not as
- 28:49Speaker 1: it's not as powerful, probably partly, probably partly because the
- 28:52Speaker 1: red carpet is like absolutely diluted with huge numbers of
- 28:57Speaker 1: influencers that no one really knows, but they have command
- 29:01Speaker 1: all these command all these followers, and so like I
- 29:04Speaker 1: can imagine if you're an a lister and you go
- 29:06Speaker 1: to like an influencer red carpet, you're like, really, right,
- 29:11Speaker 1: I'm here with these folks, right, so maybe it maybe
- 29:15Speaker 1: it takes down your motivation to be there in person.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Yes, it was hosted by Jennifer Lopez, who has not
- 29:21Speaker 2: had a great few years. No, no, if that's like
- 29:24Speaker 2: the peak of what you can get for them.
- 29:27Speaker 1: That was an interesting choice.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I was. She changed outfits like twenty times and
- 29:31Speaker 2: they were all very very cool outfits. But my fifteen
- 29:35Speaker 2: year old said, like, were they all in a group
- 29:37Speaker 2: chat together, like you're I'm not going, You're not going
- 29:39Speaker 2: what I'm not going, You're not going.
- 29:42Speaker 1: We're not We're not doing it, guys. So interesting? Okay, well, but.
- 29:45Speaker 2: You know, boobs in the military, what is not to like.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I do love that they had military folks there. That's
- 29:52Speaker 1: that's cool, and it's so nice to see that b
- 29:55Speaker 1: mainstream and not just lip service and to have put
- 29:58Speaker 1: some thought into it and to have them in the
- 30:00Speaker 1: crowd is very nice. I agree completely.
- 30:03Speaker 2: That was the only thing worth watching in that terrible show. Well,
