- 0:39Hello, this is the eat more carbs podcast.
- 0:41I'm Jenna and I'm here with Riley.
- 0:43Today we're going to be talking all about kind of like holiday
- 0:45fueling a couple things that maybe like get under our skin a
- 0:48little bit. So I'm excited to kind of chat
- 0:49with you a little bit about that Riley, because I know you and I
- 0:51always have like very unhinged conversations offline.
- 0:53So today we're bringing those conversations online to share
- 0:56with all of you. But before we kind of get into
- 0:58that drives new bananas holiday talk, Riley, update me on your
- 1:01week high and low. What's going on starting off
- 1:03with? My high this week, if you're a
- 1:04new listener to the Emor Carbs podcast, I have been in the
- 1:07middle of a move over the last like 3 months.
- 1:10Ever since September we have been on the move.
- 1:12We have been in temporary housing and as of this week we
- 1:15are officially in our home. So freaking excited.
- 1:18If you are watching this from the video perspective, if you
- 1:21have any of the video up right now, you can see that my office
- 1:24is in a little bit of a disarray, but we are just so
- 1:26excited to be finally in our home.
- 1:29It is a mess right now, but you know what, I'm just I'm taking
- 1:31my wins when I can get them and this week, such a big high.
- 1:35We are finally moved in. I know that this has been such a
- 1:37long time coming, so I'm so excited for you and your family
- 1:40because like right before the holidays, that's that's when you
- 1:42want to be in like a permanent place, hey, for new homes.
- 1:45So excited. Everyone keeps being like, what
- 1:46are you doing for the holidays? And I'm like literally not
- 1:49leaving my house. Like if you want to see Charlie,
- 1:51if you want to see my baby girl, like you are coming to our
- 1:53house. Like I'm not leaving.
- 1:54I'm even door dashing my groceries.
- 1:55Like I'm not stepping out the door.
- 1:57No, no, no, no. I love that though.
- 1:58I think that's exactly what you should to do, so that's great.
- 2:01Tell me about your low though. What's been the downside of your
- 2:03week? If you are a new listener, I am
- 2:05currently first time mom. I have a little girl who is
- 2:07almost 11 months old, which is wild.
- 2:10I don't know where time is like going.
- 2:11It makes me feel so old. Charlie is our daughter and kind
- 2:14of related to the move. We had to establish a new
- 2:16pediatrician because we had a pediatrician from where we moved
- 2:19from. We really liked him.
- 2:20But now that we're here, we have to make sure that we have good
- 2:23medical care for Charlie. I have shared this as a low
- 2:25before, but Charlie has a really small head, which she doesn't
- 2:28look like she has a small, but she has like a head that's in
- 2:31like the 3rd or 4th percentile, which is very concerning.
- 2:34Like we're that dietitian, like we like numbers and like I was a
- 2:37big baby, like I was always in like the 99th percentile.
- 2:39And so Charlie's trending on being really small and also her
- 2:42head is like less than 5%, which I've been a little stressed out
- 2:45by the physicians never seem to be really worried about it
- 2:48because she's, you know, tracking on her normal growth
- 2:50curve. We established care with this
- 2:51new pediatrician in town, Doctor Brown.
- 2:53She's amazing. She's super nice.
- 2:55She just concierge medicine, which is, you know, kind of
- 2:57similar to what we do at RV assignment.
- 2:58The concierge nutrition really liked her approach and her care
- 3:01overall. At our first appointment, we
- 3:02were talking about Charlie's like head size and she looks at
- 3:05me and is like, can I measure your head?
- 3:08And I was like, OK, she's like, I want to see if it's like
- 3:10genetics because we don't think it is related to my husband
- 3:14Rob's at all because love him, but he's a little bit of a
- 3:16bigger head. So she's like, come here, sit on
- 3:18the bench. So just me, you know, with my
- 3:21eleven month old daughter and I'm sitting on the bed at the
- 3:23pediatrician's office and she's measuring my head.
- 3:26Lo and behold, I also have a small head.
- 3:29I'm also in the third 4th percentile for head size which I
- 3:32never even realized. I'm such a hot person and I'm
- 3:35always wearing hats and I always fit a little weird but because I
- 3:38have a small head. So you're ever having a bad day?
- 3:40At least you were not sitting at the pediatricians office as a 33
- 3:44year old woman getting your head measured.
- 3:46I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you.
- 3:48I promise. Yes, so I mean, every time these
- 3:51things happen to me, at least I'm like so excited to come and
- 3:53share with you and all the listeners on the Eat More Cars
- 3:55podcast because at least you can, you know, laugh with me,
- 3:58not at me. Does it clear up any of your
- 4:00stress around, like, Charlie's head size, knowing that it's
- 4:02like, probably a genetic thing? Yeah.
- 4:04And she's like hitting all of her mouth.
- 4:05And so we haven't been super worried about it, but like now
- 4:07it like all makes sense. We love it when everything just
- 4:10comes together and then we understand.
- 4:12We know the why. Yes, as we like to say it RBS
- 4:15and it is a full circle. So that was a full circle moment
- 4:18for my love. A little bit of a funny story.
- 4:19So hopefully your high and low is a little bit better than
- 4:22mine. I don't.
- 4:23Think they could get any better than getting into a new home,
- 4:26But I think I've got a close second in that I have a visitor
- 4:28in my home. My brother is here, he's
- 4:30visiting from Colorado. I'm very, very close with my
- 4:32siblings. If you don't know, I have an
- 4:33older sister and a younger brother.
- 4:34So my younger brother is here for a couple of days.
- 4:36We're going to the Cardinals game, which is going to be super
- 4:38fun. I've actually never been to an
- 4:40NFL game, so this is my first time going to see a Pro Football
- 4:43game. I've been to a lot of other pro
- 4:45sporting events, but never NFL. So I'm excited.
- 4:48We're excited. I'm happy that he's here.
- 4:49So shout out to him for coming to visit us.
- 4:51Milo, this is so ridiculous. This is a me being ridiculous
- 4:55thing. And when you hear this, you're
- 4:56gonna be like, what is wrong with you?
- 4:57I went to go get my hair cut the other day.
- 4:59It looks great. By the way, looks so good,
- 5:01thank. You so much.
- 5:03I appreciate that. If you're in Arizona and you
- 5:05need a somebody to do your hair like I have got you, DM me.
- 5:07I will send you her information. She's wonderful and fantastic
- 5:10and I absolutely adore her, but I go to her and I was like,
- 5:12look, here's the deal. I understand that like, I'm
- 5:14gonna need a little bit more of a haircut than what I'm used to.
- 5:16So we had to cut like several inches off my hair.
- 5:19And even though no one looking at me would realize that I have
- 5:22had a significant haircut because I do have very long
- 5:25hair. To me, I like run my hands
- 5:27through my hair and I'm like, where's my hair?
- 5:29Where's the rest of my hair? And I feel like a different
- 5:32person. And it's to the point where like
- 5:33to me, it's super noticeable. But like Nolan didn't even
- 5:36notice I got a haircut. So like my husband came home and
- 5:38was just like, you'd look different.
- 5:39So it's like, it's not a thing that like needs to be a thing.
- 5:43But I don't know if anybody's else like that.
- 5:44I'm very happy with the haircut. Like it looks good.
- 5:46It looks healthy. I'm but at the same time, like I
- 5:48just, I'm so weird about haircuts because I'm like, I
- 5:50just like, it's my hair. I don't know.
- 5:52Are you like that? Your hair like always looks so
- 5:54good though. It's one of those things though,
- 5:55that you can like really tell on yourself, but like not many
- 5:58other people can notice. Like for you, I mean, I talk to
- 6:00you every single day. I like look at you every single
- 6:02day. But like, I, I just thought your
- 6:04hair looks really good because your hair is always longer than
- 6:07the video feed. So I can never like tell if it
- 6:09changed length, but it does look really good.
- 6:11So even if it's shorter and you feel weird, you look great.
- 6:14Thank you. I appreciate that it looks
- 6:15healthy and at the end of the day, like we want healthy
- 6:17looking hair. So I said said to my
- 6:19hairstylist, do what you need to do to make it look nice and
- 6:22presentable. If there was some damage, you
- 6:23know, after being outside and in the sun and in the pool in the
- 6:25summer, sometimes you got to got to change it up a little bit.
- 6:27But Speaking of being outside, things that are changing in our
- 6:30lives every week, we're updating you guys on our training.
- 6:33Riley and I are both running half marathons.
- 6:35I'm running one in January. Riley is running one in early
- 6:37spring. So, Riley, what does training
- 6:39look like for you this week? So my training update this week
- 6:41looks a little bit different because now that we've moved
- 6:44back into a house, I finally have my home gym back, which I'm
- 6:47so freaking excited about South. My training update for this week
- 6:51incorporates a lot more strength training.
- 6:53I'm finally have my spot rack rack.
- 6:55I'm finally going to be able to do some of that strength
- 6:57training. So I'll be doing strength
- 6:58training about three times per week and then because I've
- 7:01incorporated that this week, I'm cutting back on my mileage a
- 7:04little bit just because I've, you know, increased another area
- 7:07of fitness. So I'll be doing, you know, two
- 7:09runs that are about four miles and then I'll have a longer like
- 7:11six to eight mile run for this upcoming weekend that.
- 7:14Sounds great, and yay for your home gym being back too.
- 7:16I know that that's one of the big things.
- 7:18I mean, I'm sure you missed a lot when you were not in your
- 7:21home, but one of those being your home gym.
- 7:23Yeah, I was actually joking with Robbie.
- 7:24We kept being like, what are the three things that you're most
- 7:27excited to utilize or what are the biggest three things that
- 7:29you've missed while you've been out of the house?
- 7:31And I was like my Nespresso, my bed and my gym.
- 7:34Like give me my coffee, my sleep and my workout.
- 7:36What about you? Your race is like less than a
- 7:39month away. Yeah, we're officially like six
- 7:41weeks out today. So that's a little bit like
- 7:43exciting, but also those nerves start to come where you're like,
- 7:46am I ready for this? But we're ready for this.
- 7:47We're good. I'm gonna hang around that 25
- 7:49miles per week with some shorter runs and a few longer runs as
- 7:52well. And then I always incorporate
- 7:54strength training and my training for all of my races,
- 7:56about two to three times of strength training this week.
- 7:59And then most of the time I'll be running.
- 8:00So that's my week for my training update.
- 8:02Riley, I don't know about you, but a lot of times when we get
- 8:05on social media, especially this time of year, there are so many
- 8:08things that people are talking about as far as like holiday
- 8:10trends. The world of nutrition may be
- 8:12adjacent to the world of nutrition.
- 8:13And a lot of times it is things that drive me nuts.
- 8:17So what have you been seeing online, offline, around the
- 8:20world of nutrition or in kind of like the space of health, we'll
- 8:23say that is driving you bananas about the holidays?
- 8:26This week, right now, the biggest thing that seems to be
- 8:29driving me bananas is the fact that I'm already getting ads and
- 8:32I'm getting emails for people who want to have brand
- 8:36partnerships for GLP ones because they are already wanting
- 8:40to go after the individuals who might feel guilty after holiday
- 8:44eating. And I'm just not ready for it.
- 8:46Like it's not even Christmas yet and we're already getting ready
- 8:50for that. Like beginning of the year, that
- 8:53diet trend that we unfortunately see every single year.
- 8:57And that's what's driving me bananas.
- 8:58I get probably probably 3 emails a week for these new products
- 9:02and it's like help people overcome their holiday eating
- 9:05with a GLP 1 and I'm just freaking over it.
- 9:08And I know that's not necessarily related to the
- 9:10holidays, but it just makes me mad that we're overlooking the
- 9:13holidays. We're not even focused about
- 9:15like the joy that food brings or the like the joy that the
- 9:17holidays bring. We're already trying to figure
- 9:19out how we can market and put diet culture on the holidays,
- 9:23and we're not even there yet. I agree with you.
- 9:25I think that just in general, when we look at things and how
- 9:28quickly we want to jump from one like section to the next, like
- 9:31when you go into the store and there's already like, I don't
- 9:33know, Valentine's decorations up and it's like what is going on?
- 9:36Like nowadays you start seeing like Thanksgiving things that
- 9:38are in September and Christmas things in October.
- 9:41And it just seems like we're just jumping right from like one
- 9:44stage to the next without like stopping, pausing and enjoying.
- 9:47So hearing you say that just kind of reminds me of like all
- 9:49of that conversation that goes along with like New Year's
- 9:51resolutions. And more often than not, people
- 9:54set some type of a New Year's resolution that has to do with a
- 9:56body weight modification. And if that's like you're goal
- 9:59and if that's what you want to work in, OK, But like at the
- 10:02same time, like why aren't we looking at other things that
- 10:04like happen in between now and New Year's?
- 10:06Like it seems like, like you said, there's just like this
- 10:08whole jump over like the joy that comes along with the
- 10:10holiday season, so many holidays and fun things to celebrate
- 10:13getting together with family, enjoying food that happens in
- 10:16December. And we're just like, no, no,
- 10:18let's let's just jump ahead kind of missing out on some of those
- 10:21things that we might want to pause, slow down and enjoy.
- 10:25I think it. Is such a good reminder because
- 10:26we are so like food forward and positive nutritional RBSN.
- 10:30And you and I talk about this all the time.
- 10:31And we also are talking about our clients with this approach
- 10:34every single day. And when we go on social media,
- 10:36you know, we're in our little space where it's a positive
- 10:39nutrition, food forward. Let's eat more carbohydrates.
- 10:41Like if you're listening to this podcast for the first time, it's
- 10:44literally called eat more carbs. Like we are food positive here.
- 10:47We love to fuel and like a good reminder, even though it is
- 10:50really frustrating that there is so much of that like shenanigans
- 10:54out there. Shenanigans.
- 10:55Such a great word for it. Like all the stuff that I'm
- 10:57seeing right now that's like nature's ozone and then just
- 11:00inserting some ridiculous solve for that.
- 11:02I'm not even gonna get into like the ridiculousness that I have
- 11:05seen online with what that could potentially be.
- 11:08But there is just so much out there that we're just forgetting
- 11:11that there is so much more to life, so much more complexity
- 11:14around like holidays and fueling and fun and food then we're
- 11:17giving credit to. It's just like, oh, here's just
- 11:19the one one thing that you can change.
- 11:21And all of a sudden this like is going to be this magic turn
- 11:24around for you. And like we maybe aren't
- 11:25addressing like the why behind it, which we talk about South
- 11:28much with our clients and with you guys at RBSN and why that's
- 11:31so important to address versus just being like, here's a
- 11:34Band-Aid, let's move. Forward on the topic of
- 11:36shenanigans and Nature's Olympic, have you seen Kourtney
- 11:39Kardashian's product? The gummy like vitamin
- 11:42situation, Yeah, I can't for you all.
- 11:44Listening, it doesn't work. It's a marketing gimmick.
- 11:46Please do not buy it. Drive me freaking bananas.
- 11:49I know we're off topic because we're not necessarily talking
- 11:51about the holidays now, but I feel like this stuff is all
- 11:53intertwined. Like, just like you said, we're
- 11:55seemed to always just be like jumping to the next thing and
- 11:57we're always so focused on what supplement can we take to, you
- 12:00know, improve our body or what can we do this and this and
- 12:03this. And we never really, like, take
- 12:04time to appreciate all of the things that our body has done
- 12:06for us. You're bringing this full circle
- 12:08because today we had a conversation about how far RBSN
- 12:11has come in the past year because it's really easy to get
- 12:14into like the comparison game, whether you are an athlete
- 12:17comparing yourself to a teammate or you're a small business
- 12:20comparing yourself to another small business.
- 12:22But we've made incredible strides and sometimes it's
- 12:24really easy to like look over the small things that we're
- 12:27changing on a day-to-day basis or the gains that we're making
- 12:30on a day-to-day basis. But if you can take a pause and
- 12:32like look back and reflect on the past year that you have,
- 12:34then it becomes more apparent like all of the wonderful things
- 12:37that you have achieved, all of the things that have changed.
- 12:39And like looking back this past year on RBSN, like we have done
- 12:42so much and I'm so proud of like our team for what we've been
- 12:45able to accomplish. So I think that like there's so
- 12:47much more that we're like missing when we're like jumping
- 12:50into the next season of life. There's so much that we can like
- 12:52appreciate and enjoy, like this season that's happening right
- 12:54now. And like this is nothing to do
- 12:56with nutrition. Maybe I'm just on my soapbox and
- 12:57I should probably jump off now, but there's just so much that we
- 13:00can be so appreciative of and look back and say like, OK,
- 13:03yeah, we did that, so I'm so glad.
- 13:04That you brought that up because you and I were talking about it
- 13:06from a business perspective, but then I also was talking about it
- 13:09with one of our period recovery clients this morning because she
- 13:12started to have period symptoms. She started working with us, you
- 13:15know, at the end of August and she's really put in some work
- 13:19over the last couple of months. One of the things that we were
- 13:22doing today was reflecting on how far she had come.
- 13:25Sometimes, especially with period recovery.
- 13:26And just like you said, when you're, you know, constantly
- 13:29working on things, you have a goal that you're after, you
- 13:31sometimes forget the little wins that come up during the journey.
- 13:34It was so crazy for her to kind of look back at her plates and
- 13:38to, you know, look at her mindset with fueling because
- 13:41where she was like, you know, four months ago or even at the
- 13:44end of July is so different from where she is today.
- 13:48But it wasn't until she really looked back at that time that
- 13:51has accumulated, that she was like, wow, I've actually come so
- 13:55far. Yeah.
- 13:56And it's really easy to kind of overlook that.
- 13:58So if you're listening to this podcast right now, like take a
- 14:00couple minutes, reflect on all the things that maybe you have
- 14:02accomplished in this past year. Focus on what you have done
- 14:05because you can be proud of that.
- 14:06And it's OK to acknowledge that and feel proud for all of the
- 14:08things that you've maybe changed or all of the accomplishments or
- 14:11positive things that have happened in the past.
- 14:12Year So you mentioned earlier that you were scrolling and
- 14:15there's couple things that came up.
- 14:16So what are some things that like are driving your bananas
- 14:19right now that you you saw this week?
- 14:20I don't know if it's anything that I necessarily saw this week
- 14:23online, but it's something that I've noticed as a trend for
- 14:28holiday meals and holiday conversation in the past.
- 14:32And that is people that comment on changes that they maybe see
- 14:36in your physical appearance at a holiday meal.
- 14:39It is never appropriate to comment on how somebody's body
- 14:42has maybe changed. We don't know what's going on in
- 14:44their life. They might be preparing to have
- 14:46a baby, they might be just struggling with something, they
- 14:49might have something underlying going on.
- 14:51It's just never appropriate. But I feel like when you're with
- 14:53family and friends who feel very comfortable, it becomes really
- 14:56easy for them to feel like they should say something.
- 14:59And even if we're kind of assuming positive intent, that
- 15:01they're hoping what they're saying is a compliment or what
- 15:03they're saying expresses concern or something like that, it's
- 15:06just never OK. And I don't know why it comes up
- 15:09at holiday meals, but that drives me bananas so.
- 15:11How do you navigate that? As a dietitian and somebody who
- 15:14has shared about your relationship with food and how
- 15:18you have succeeded so much with your positive relationship, how
- 15:21do you navigate? That I think you kind of have to
- 15:23like recognize that it like if it happens, you need to have a
- 15:26plan of action because there are certain situations in which it
- 15:29might be OK to respond and you might have a good relationship
- 15:32with that friend or family member.
- 15:33To say, there are so many other things that have happened
- 15:35positively in my life and none of them have to do with what I
- 15:37look like. I love to say that like what I
- 15:39look like on the outside is the least interesting thing about
- 15:41me. And I know that that's something
- 15:43that we kind of like throw around behind the scenes here a
- 15:45lot. But then there aren't other
- 15:46situations in which like it might not be in your best
- 15:48interest to respond to that friend or family member.
- 15:51And so just taking a moment for yourself and saying, OK, I'm
- 15:54choosing to just move this conversation in a different
- 15:56direction without even really acknowledging or engaging in
- 15:59that conversation just because it might not prove to be
- 16:01anything positive for you or the other person involved.
- 16:04So it's really up to the person. Oh my gosh, it all depends.
- 16:06It really does all depend on whether or not that's a
- 16:09situation in which you feel comfortable talking with someone
- 16:11about it. Because there might be
- 16:12situations where it's a good learning moment for someone, but
- 16:14then there might be situations where it also is just not worth
- 16:17your time, your energy, and your like, mental peace to engage in
- 16:19a conversation that has to do with, you know, how your body
- 16:22may have changed in the past year.
- 16:23I agree with you. I am taking like a very, very
- 16:26similar approach where most of the time actually, I have found
- 16:29that, and this is this might be selfish of me, but most of the
- 16:32time I'm like, I'm not even going to fight you on this
- 16:34because I know that you're not ready to hear what I have to
- 16:36say, especially if it's like something, you know, a comment
- 16:39on me. And that's something that my
- 16:40eyes were really open to over the last, you know, two years as
- 16:44somebody who got pregnant and then was in that postpartum
- 16:47period. My body has looked very, very
- 16:49different over the last 18 months.
- 16:51And there's so many comments that come my way, and I don't
- 16:54even have the energy or the care to respond to those.
- 16:57But if you say something about my body or somebody else's body
- 17:00in front of my daughter, yes, she's only 11 months old.
- 17:02But like I'm correcting that behavior.
- 17:05And I think that's like, we should start that from a young
- 17:07age because we don't want, you know, the next generation to
- 17:09have to grow up with the kind of things that, you know, you and I
- 17:11have had to navigate or we're hopefully, you know, diminishing
- 17:14that or lessening that that, you know, daughter and your
- 17:16daughter's friends and peers will go through.
- 17:18So I like that that's the approach that you're taking.
- 17:21If you have like questions about how Riley specifically navigated
- 17:25a lot of those body changes, we're going to go ahead and link
- 17:27all of Riley's pregnancy episodes.
- 17:29Riley talked a lot on the Emor Carbs podcast about how she
- 17:32navigated that time, all of the positive work that she did
- 17:34before, during and after. So we'll link all of that.
- 17:37It's a whole series. And we're really thankful that
- 17:39she shares that experience because we don't always have
- 17:41that to like lean back on and like hear how someone else
- 17:44navigated that time. So we're going to link all that
- 17:46in the show notes. So that way if you're curious
- 17:47about how Riley did navigate that from a positive nutrition
- 17:51standpoint, you can look into all of that.
- 17:52And even if you're not pregnant, it's also a great lesson just to
- 17:55talk about like body changes and that navigation.
- 17:57So we talked about. Some things that drive us
- 17:59bananas, but not everything about the holidays is all bad.
- 18:02So before we kind of sign off, what is like one of your
- 18:05favorite like holiday traditions or things that you're looking
- 18:07forward to with the holidays? Oh man, I could say so many
- 18:10things about holiday traditions and things I love.
- 18:13This is one that has nothing to do with, but every year for as
- 18:17long as I can remember, we open one present on Christmas Eve and
- 18:20it is always matching pajamas that my full family has.
- 18:23My mom still buys everyone, including my dog, like a
- 18:26matching bandana for all of our matching PJ's.
- 18:28And then we take a family photo in front of the Christmas tree.
- 18:32And then it's tradition that on Christmas morning, we wake up
- 18:35and we put the pajamas back on and we have brunch together in
- 18:37our matching PJ's. My husband's like, what do I do
- 18:39with all of these extra PJ's? And I'm like, I don't know.
- 18:41But you can't get rid of them. Like they're, they're family
- 18:43heirlooms. So you have to hold on to.
- 18:46I love that seeing them in your closet, like probably all lined
- 18:49up, that's amazing. That's what we do.
- 18:50What about you guys? Do you have a special tradition
- 18:53that you do? Something that we've always
- 18:54done, like ever since we were kids.
- 18:56We're Christmas crackers. They're a British tradition.
- 18:59Do you know what? A Christmas cracker.
- 19:00Is. No, I don't.
- 19:01So it's this like British or English tradition where
- 19:04basically they're these things called Christmas crackers, and
- 19:07it almost looks like a big Tootsie roll.
- 19:08Do you know what a Tootsie roll looks like?
- 19:10Yeah, it's like circular. And then it's like wrapped at
- 19:12the ends. And traditionally they have
- 19:14gunpowder in them, so they like pop when you pull them.
- 19:17Oh, and they have like a little toy in them.
- 19:19They'll have like a crown and like maybe another like a little
- 19:23trinket or like a fortune. That's what it is.
- 19:25It's like a fortune, a crown, and then like a little toy or
- 19:28like a little game or something. And that's kind of like our
- 19:31Christmas Eve tradition. As a kids.
- 19:33We used to make them with like old toilet paper rolls.
- 19:35Every time my mom goes to England to visit my grandma,
- 19:38she'll come back and she'll like bring like the, the real ones
- 19:40with like the gunpowder. So we always do like those
- 19:42Christmas crackers on Christmas Eve.
- 19:44When you first said Christmas crackers, I thought you like
- 19:47cracker like you eat crackers. I was like, like hummus and
- 19:50crackers. Is that you work?
- 19:53Hard, but my mind was immediately like a recipe.
- 19:56Great, I'm going to learn something new.
- 19:58They'll see it on Monday on Jenna's Instagram.
- 20:01Oh my gosh, I love that though. Such a fun tradition and it it
- 20:04also doesn't have to do with. Food, that's the wonderful thing
- 20:06about like holidays, is that you can have traditions that do have
- 20:09more involvement with food, but then there are also traditions
- 20:12that don't have anything to do with nutrition and they're all
- 20:14fun. We're going to be doing a whole
- 20:15kind of like a series, I guess, on holiday things the month of
- 20:18December, just because there's so much going on.
- 20:20And we really realized that for a lot of people, sometimes
- 20:23navigating the holidays, especially from a nutrition
- 20:25standpoint, can be a little bit more challenging.
- 20:26So you can TuneIn next week for another kind of fun festive
- 20:30fueling episode that we're going to do.
- 20:31But just as a big announcement to everyone who's listened to
- 20:34the Eat More Carbs podcast, first of all, thank you so much
- 20:36for joining along and listening to this past year.
- 20:38We are so incredibly thankful we wouldn't be here without the
- 20:40support of all of the listeners liking, subscribing, reviewing
- 20:43and sharing with friends and family.
- 20:44Like it is just such a great thing that Riley and I get to do
- 20:47as part of RBSN is this podcast on a weekly basis.
- 20:50With that being said, big change coming up is that episodes will
- 20:53no longer be going out on Tuesdays.
- 20:56They will be going out on Thursdays from now on.
- 20:58So if you don't see an episode next Tuesday from us, it's going
- 21:01to be coming out on Thursday and we're going to be trying that
- 21:03out to see how that works for the Mark Carps podcast.
- 21:06So just a little heads up there, if you are used to listening to
- 21:08the episodes on Tuesdays, it'll now be on Thursdays.
- 21:12Thank you so much for listening. If you have questions for Riley
- 21:14and I, you can find us on Instagram.
- 21:16You can find Riley at Easy Sports nutrition and you can
