Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Time for stacks and hacks. We're going over stacks of information.
- 0:03Speaker 1: The rich has life hacks. There is a new contest
- 0:06Speaker 1: to find America's coolest soccer mom. One winner will receive
- 0:11Speaker 1: a thousand dollars, a custom tumbler, and a nugget dipping tray.
- 0:16Speaker 2: You know.
- 0:17Speaker 1: To enter, you have to submit a video at this
- 0:19Speaker 1: link here, which I do not have, so forget that story.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Someone on Reddit ass what's something you do when you're
- 0:26Speaker 1: completely alone that you never admit to anyone in real life?
- 0:30Speaker 1: Number one answer? What do you think.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Even from the fridge? It was like something gross you
- 0:35Speaker 2: from the fridge all the time, all the time.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I admit that walking around with no pants on. That's
- 0:43Speaker 1: the number one answer. Over two answers. Shouting obscenities about
- 0:46Speaker 1: people I don't like out loud.
- 0:49Speaker 2: That's a good stress release.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Did you know you can keep your toast? It sounds
- 0:52Speaker 1: more like a life hack, right to I apologize. You
- 0:53Speaker 1: can keep your toast from getting soggy by standing it
- 0:57Speaker 1: up after it's been toasted, leaning two pieces against each
- 0:59Speaker 1: other like tent really did not know that. Big science
- 1:03Speaker 1: stories this week, astronomers think they may have found a
- 1:05Speaker 1: new world beyond Pluto. I don't know much about it.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Like a new planet, I guess the new world, the
- 1:11Speaker 1: whole new world. Every Apple iPhone, iPad and maccomputer shows
- 1:18Speaker 1: the time as nine to forty one am in all
- 1:21Speaker 1: the advertisements. Wow, do you know why no Apple picked
- 1:25Speaker 1: that time? Because it's approximately when Steve Jobs would make
- 1:27Speaker 1: his biggest announcement during their presentation.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Oh a little easter egg. The Apple thinks they're Taylor Swift.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Would you eat what they're calling a perpetual stew. It's
- 1:38Speaker 1: basically a soup that people keep boiling and adding on
- 1:41Speaker 1: too for entire days, weeks and months on, and experts
- 1:45Speaker 1: say it's safe as long as you maintain a constant
- 1:47Speaker 1: high temperature.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I have seen that on TikTok. Actually, that seems like
- 1:52Speaker 2: life in the eighteen hundreds, where they always have a bottle,
- 1:54Speaker 2: just keep adding to it.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Yes, last I'd like the comment on the Apple Rich said, oh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: they're doing Easter eggs now. They've actually been doing the
- 2:04Speaker 1: nine to forty one thing for over fifteen years, and
- 2:07Speaker 1: it was ninety one when Steve Jobs announced the first iPhone.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Oh see, so you're saying Taylor Swift didn't start Easter eggs.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Apples started Easter eggs and taylor'sts copying them.
- 2:20Speaker 1: She ran with it. Gen Z is getting called the
- 2:24Speaker 1: Christopher Columbus generation because they keep discovering things that already existed.
- 2:29Speaker 1: The best examples are quiet quitting, which is just doing
- 2:31Speaker 1: less work, and silent walking, which is just walking. They
- 2:37Speaker 1: also discovered coke floats, which has been around since the
- 2:39Speaker 1: eighteen hundreds. That's pretty dang funny. There's a new service
- 2:44Speaker 1: that connects couples to strangers who want to crash their wedding.
- 2:48Speaker 1: The idea is that couples can fill seats last minute cancelations,
- 2:52Speaker 1: and random people can enjoy their open bar that I
- 2:55Speaker 1: want that.
- 2:56Speaker 2: If you're cool, I would mind that emerge the food anyway.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Emergency crews in San Francisco and Austin, Texas, say Waimo
- 3:02Speaker 1: robotaxis are causing serious problems during emergencies. Officials are claiming
- 3:06Speaker 1: some drivers cars are blocking fire stations, ignoring your hands signals,
- 3:09Speaker 1: and even delaying ambulances.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Not good, Not good.
- 3:13Speaker 1: What do you got for life hacks? Rich?
- 3:14Speaker 2: Okay, So, Kyle, we've been talking about travel hacks, and
- 3:18Speaker 2: here's one for hotels that I think is kind of interesting.
- 3:22Speaker 2: So if you can be flexible at all when you
- 3:24Speaker 2: check into your hotel, even if you're like staying towards
- 3:27Speaker 2: the beginning of the week, don't check in on a
- 3:29Speaker 2: Saturday or a Friday. Check in on a Sunday. Why
- 3:33Speaker 2: Sunday because it's cheaper. They base prices based on demand,
- 3:39Speaker 2: and there's less demand on Sunday because a lot of
- 3:41Speaker 2: people are leaving for the weekend. Same room, same hotel.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Sometimes half the price, Kyle, half the price, I like
- 3:48Speaker 2: half the price, And here's the bonus. Because it's quieter,
- 3:51Speaker 2: you're more likely to get an upgrade too. So if
- 3:54Speaker 2: your summer trip's got any wiggle room, shift that check
- 3:57Speaker 2: into Sunday, keep the cash in your pocket. You're welcome.
- 4:00Speaker 2: That can be found at John jayand Rich dot com.
