- 0:01Oh fan, we back baby, the little hiater, yes, sir,
- 0:10the holidays, the travel season, you hear me. No, it was
- 0:15a lot going on this here. Man. I can't believe it's a big
- 0:18move, the big move, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, this
- 0:21is my first show in my new place. It's uh bro. The twenty
- 0:26twenty three is over in literally two days. Wow. It's crazy to think
- 0:32about, yeah, and crazy to think about. We started this too well.
- 0:35I started this with you guys two years ago when I was just getting
- 0:38settled in Vegas, and here we are embarking on year three and I'm just
- 0:43getting settled back in Orlando. Crazy, right, It's a little Nutsington.
- 0:48It's crazy. Like whenever you move out of town, like anybody, I
- 0:52feel like the random come back home is always in play. Yeah you know,
- 0:57yeah, like whenever you're out of town, Like no matter how much
- 1:00you love where you're at, like that, that come home is always in
- 1:04play. Like obviously it's just like you have good memories attached to home,
- 1:08you know what I mean. If your memories of home are trash, you're
- 1:12probably just not even gonna care about going home. But you know, when
- 1:15you got family there, when you have good things, you know, good
- 1:19memories and stuff. It's always in play to come back yeap, like you
- 1:23talk about permanently or to visit both, you know what I mean? Like,
- 1:26yeah, that's what we were talking about with the homies, like I've
- 1:30had I had two three homies that moved away and they and we all came
- 1:34back. That's what morning how you feel, but we all came back at
- 1:38an old age. How you feel about Quincy and Ronnie? You think the
- 1:42lover will come back? I don't. I don't think they would, like
- 1:48I mean, I think they could, but if they didn't, it wouldn't
- 1:51surprise me because specifically, It's funny you asked me that because specifically both of
- 1:55them, I know that they were never attached to here here here saying central
- 2:00Florida, you know what I mean. Ronnie always talked about home Hawaii,
- 2:06like all the time. This wasn't home to him. Yeah it was home,
- 2:10but it was it wasn't where his heart is, you know what I
- 2:13mean? Like, well, home is where the heart is, so it
- 2:15wasn't his home, you know what I mean? Like, this is where
- 2:20my heart was always. And Quince he's not from here either. You know
- 2:23what I mean. He's from you know, New Orleans, Atlanta. You
- 2:27know, he's lived in a few different places. This is not necessarily home
- 2:30for him either, you know what I mean. He got a lot of
- 2:31people when he moved up to Georgia. He had a whole bunch of family
- 2:35there, like more than I thought. I'm like, oh, dang,
- 2:37like he squatted over here, you got a lot going on over there.
- 2:39Yeah, man, he do. That's true. He did. He got
- 2:43like all the family functions and stuff now. And that's why. If it
- 2:46wasn't for my wife's family moving back that lived in Vegas, we we we
- 2:51would have been all right. But because they moved back, that's all we
- 2:53had. So we're like, why are we going to be the only two
- 2:57out here with absolutely nobody who we do anything? We have to come visit
- 3:00us. That means something in our lives. We can meet you people and
- 3:05start you know, friendships up. We were fresh, and it's like to
- 3:08start that kind of life where you're celebrating holidays together and doing all birthdays together.
- 3:15We didn't have anybody like that over there. Yeah. I feel that
- 3:17because I'm the type of person that like, I gotta I gotta create like
- 3:23a long term bond with somebody before I even consider them somebody that I'll be
- 3:27close to, you know what I mean. Like I've said it before on
- 3:29the pod, but like time is the only thing that tells you what a
- 3:31person's really about, you know what I mean. There's nothing, nothing but
- 3:36time that can really tell you because what people do and their their life resume
- 3:39basically is what it is, you know what I mean. And it's hard
- 3:43to at least for me, Like it's hard for me to embrace people when
- 3:50I have so little knowledge of them, you know what I mean. And
- 3:53you really have, Yeah, you have a set of people already. It's
- 3:55not like you got nobody in your life. Yeah exactly. You know you
- 3:59got to say of people already that you feel that way about. So it's
- 4:02like, why go through the hassle love creating that with new people? Well,
- 4:06you know, the funny thing is though my friend group, like I
- 4:12mean, I could say probably like everybody that I talk to on a regular
- 4:15basis now, none of them are any of my original friend group. Oh
- 4:19yeah, you know what I mean. Like the people that I actually like
- 4:23grew up with, grew up with, I don't keep in contact with none
- 4:26of them. Like it's not no issue or nothing, but it's just like
- 4:29we grew up different and like everybody's on different vibes and it's not like none
- 4:33of it even almost aligned, you know what I mean. Yeah, with
- 4:39something like even coming out of that situation having to figure out like, okay,
- 4:44like who are people that I'm going to like no, no, put
- 4:47friendly trust in now, you know what I mean, Like even kind of
- 4:50navigating that and creating that new friend group afterwards, you know what I mean,
- 4:54Because it's like it's funny because we're in our own fantasy football league and
- 4:59like a couple of homies from in there. I know them from high school,
- 5:02but I literally knew them from high school, you know what I mean.
- 5:05Like, Oh, Angel was the only one that I actually like hung
- 5:09out with like that he pulled up to my crib, I pulled up to
- 5:11his crib, you know what I mean. But like everybody else, it
- 5:14was just like school friends, you know what I mean. Yeah, obviously
- 5:18not down Down, you know what I mean, because Don down lived in
- 5:19wrnt Worths. Bro got crazy crazy memories with Don dwn man, Like that
- 5:26barbecue was so epic, man, the one that Quincy shot his video at.
- 5:29Yeah, because it's like the first time I had hung out with him
- 5:31like that, like in a while, you know what I'm saying. And
- 5:34even before, like whenever I used to hang out with him, it was
- 5:38like in a different setting, you know what I mean. It's almost like
- 5:41we're like the only ones that like are from that old time that still kind
- 5:46of get around the way we do, you know what I mean. So
- 5:50it's like you're always gonna have that bond, you know what I mean.
- 5:55It's a different understand it's a different feeling too. It's just like you feel
- 5:59different around those people. Yeah, it's a fact. There's people who you
- 6:02cannot see for so long and see them and it's like you don't miss a
- 6:05beata, you don't get that feeling with everybody. That's my boy, Kevin
- 6:10Man. He's coming back from Virginia. He hit the Navy like as soon
- 6:14as high school ended in like and like the he lived in my neighborhood and
- 6:18we went to school together and we were super close, you know what I
- 6:21mean. Then he moved to Virginia when he joined the Navy, and he's
- 6:26about to move back, you know, it's been almost twenty years, you
- 6:29know what I mean, Like he's getting ready to like set up to retire
- 6:31and stuff. And that's how I feel about him coming back. It's like,
- 6:34Yo, I can't wait for him to come back because we've always kept
- 6:38in contact throughout the years, and every time we talk it's like he never
- 6:40left, you know what. I yeah, and I know, well,
- 6:43I remember what, I know what he did in the Navy. Do you
- 6:45remember where Virginia he lives. He's he's done two different bases in Virginia.
- 6:50Like, he was in one base in Virginia and then they gave him orders
- 6:54to go to a different base in Virginia. Then they moved that was like
- 6:57a couple hours away. So he's he's done a couple of you know where
- 7:00though, because I've been there twice. That's where I was two weeks ago.
- 7:05That's why I spent the week. I literally was thinking about it.
- 7:08I was like wonder if and I wonder if Doggren, where I went two
- 7:11years ago, was the one before that. Those are the two main Navy
- 7:13bases out there, Norfolk. Yeah, yeah, he probably wasn't both,
- 7:15I'll ask him. Yeah. Yeah, it's funn in Norfolk. Norfolk was
- 7:19cool. Uh, And I'll tell you right now. I went with a
- 7:24bunch of navy dudes. And if he's moving back, I know why.
- 7:28It's ain't ship out there. Why yeah, yeah, facts, Yeah,
- 7:31ain't nothing out there. And they warned me about it when we got there.
- 7:34Yeah, we pretty much had dinner. We all we had was uh,
- 7:40Chili's on the base and McDonald's and Taco Bell next to us. Is
- 7:44pretty much it. Yeah, but end of the year, man, I'm
- 7:48so glad all that shit's over. Like everything is slow weing down. You
- 7:54know. We had I had the move. I had a week at the
- 7:57conference saying that internet drive. I had the move to Florida. Then I
- 8:03had a week in Norfolk, and then I had to move into the apartment
- 8:07where all our shit from Vegas finally showed up here immediately back to back to
- 8:13back to back, and now officially, as of today, I'm done and
- 8:18everything is over. And that's why Saturday is the first day in a long
- 8:22time where I'm doing nothing all there but just enjoying being here and doing nothing
- 8:28for the first time in a lot of days. Yeah, that's always a
- 8:31dope vibe, man, Like I love those. When you get those Saturdays,
- 8:35you just get to chill, you know what I mean, and kind
- 8:37of nothing playing. That's why when Quincy said Saturday, you know, shout
- 8:41out to Quincy. We wish we could have waited, but I was like,
- 8:45Saturday's perfect because I literally I said, why we got playing? She's
- 8:48like, nah, we ain't doing nothing. I say, I love that
- 8:50for us, Yeah, nothing nothing. Yeah. It's it's funny, man,
- 8:54because the way everything kind of worked out, Like everybody I kind of
- 8:58know had their like hectic season towards the end of the year, but for
- 9:03me, it was flipped, you know what I mean, with opening the
- 9:03salon and stuff. So like the beginning of the year was great. Yeah.
- 9:07So like I've kind of gone like real chill into the new year,
- 9:11you know what I mean. I've just been kind of taking it. I've
- 9:15really just been on my like get ahead for next year type vibes, you
- 9:18know what I mean. Yeah, No, that's good. And that's why
- 9:20it's like, it's good that you did that as you're rolling into the new
- 9:24year. So you're going into the new year with with stuff already in the
- 9:28works, you know what I'm saying, And well, I wish I would
- 9:31have had that at the time, didn't allow for that. But I get
- 9:35to go into the new year with a fresh, clean slate of time in
- 9:39order for me to get rolling in there. And I'm looking so forward to
- 9:43get in my bag and get into my creative bag I've been talking about.
- 9:46Now this is the first start even set up my camera and I'm loving the
- 9:50setup. So I'm a stream back there, well, turntables, I got
- 9:54my vinyls. I'm stream here with the video games, you know what I'm
- 9:58saying, So like getting the content it ready. Now everything's set up.
- 10:01I got my setup done. Man, it's it's so it's it's still perfect
- 10:05timing for me because, like I said, rolling into next week in the
- 10:09new year, they got a clean slate. It's nothing else like, oh
- 10:11damn, I got some mouse on my list, I gotta worry about.
- 10:13Everything's been knocked out already. So it's a good thing. It's a good
- 10:18feeling, yeah, man, And it's dope because you can kind of like
- 10:22set up a whole new routine, you know what I mean. Oh yeah,
- 10:24settling into a new place, you're settling into just moving out here,
- 10:28you know what I mean. From being in Vegas. So you're literally going
- 10:31into it where it's like you have your routine, but then you also have
- 10:35your you know, you know, you're in a different situation, so you
- 10:39have your with with everything to just say, hey, you know, I'm
- 10:41gonna add this, I'm gonna take this away, you know what I mean.
- 10:43Yeah, so everything is bringing you and and one thing about working somewhere
- 10:54with a bunch of people, going into a workplace with a bunch of people
- 10:58ooping doing stuff for so long and you try to bring change and you get
- 11:03the oh, well, we've been doing like this way and it works,
- 11:07so why change it? And I feel like mentally we fall into that sometimes,
- 11:11like we don't want to change habits or routines because what we've been doing
- 11:16has been working so long. So when you're forced to do that, when
- 11:18you're put in a branding situation where you absolutely cannot follow that same routine,
- 11:24I think that's that's a fresh state of mind. That's this is your chance,
- 11:28which is my chance to start something new and start something new and do
- 11:33it the right way. Everything that I've been doing, even though I thought
- 11:37it was the right way, there's something else I wish I could have done
- 11:41better. Now I get the chance to, like officially as of this weekend,
- 11:45as soon as that new year rings in, it's that new routine.
- 11:48Who and wife, you feel the same way, and like from what we're
- 11:52eating, from what we're drinking, from what we're doing, from how we're
- 11:56living our day to day, it's going to be completely different than it was
- 11:58for the last three years. And I'm very excited for that. Yeah,
- 12:03that's dope, man. It's funny. Bro Lately, I've been seeing a
- 12:07lot of like different content popping up that's like all been kind of based in
- 12:13the Mandela effect, you know what I mean. Like there's been like a
- 12:16whole bunch of different topics coming up, Like I don't know if you saw
- 12:20where they talked about a Shazam movie with Simba, and I believe it.
- 12:26I believe that movie was there and they got the the thing about food of
- 12:33the Loom. You know that the logo was different or whatever, that it
- 12:35was in a little basket or something. But it's funny, man, because
- 12:39like I'll be seeing that a lot of people will be showing like evidence and
- 12:45it's funny to me just thinking that somebody would need other people to validate that
- 12:52kind of thing, you know what I mean. Like, it's like,
- 12:54if you know it really happened and you have evidence of it, like,
- 12:58what are you trying to defend? Well, I think because everybody that's how
- 13:05we are personally in chat rooms, you know what I'm saying. Like,
- 13:07if we said we heard something like well proof you got, we're like,
- 13:11oh, well, I got twenty five other motherfuckers on the Internet who think
- 13:15the same thing. I think. You know, so today's day, you
- 13:18have that resource that you didn't have maybe thirty years ago when the Internet wasn't
- 13:22out where it's just one crazy person saying this happened. They're like, now,
- 13:24bro, we don't believe you. You need more people, you know,
- 13:28jay Z, you need more people like proof that tell me someone else
- 13:33who thinks that now, Because there's so many motherfuckers on the internet with all
- 13:37their ideas and everybody. That's why it baffles me. Is the Google auto
- 13:43search thing. You know, you're like, how did this person? And
- 13:46it feels out exactly what you're thinking. You're like, I'm not the only
- 13:48one who's asking this question. So that's why the Mendel effect. I think
- 13:54it's different in these days, it's more adult because something like it is like
- 14:01such a resource, you know what I mean, like with so many people
- 14:05writing in it like every day and posting different things like and you're just kind
- 14:09of seeing like the way other people went through things and the memories that they
- 14:16have, you know, and we've all seen it, like little memes that
- 14:18pop up that you'd be like, bro, I'm not the only one that
- 14:22felt like this when I was five, you know what I mean, And
- 14:24it'd be mad people in the comments, like, dang, I thought I
- 14:28was the only one, like a whole bunch of people. You know what
- 14:30they call the Mandela effect, right, yeah, because like everybody kind of
- 14:35like collectively remembers something that never happened, and they make it like why did
- 14:39they name it after him? I don't know. Everybody thought he was either
- 14:43locked up his whole life or dead. That's the Mandela And yeah, and
- 14:50then he wasn't. That was absolutely not true statement. But everybody really believed
- 14:56that about him, and that's when they're Mandela effect. That's why they named
- 15:01it after Nelson Mandela. And that kind of ties into what you're talking about
- 15:05with like not having the Internet and stuff before you know what I mean.
- 15:07Yep, that's why it even became a thing because there was nobody to verify
- 15:11it with. Yeah, there's a there, bro, that's one thing.
- 15:15And the Shazam thing was one. I remember watching the uh Simbad right,
- 15:20it was that Simbad was in the Shazam movie, and everybody said that it
- 15:24was actually shack right. So what I think it is? I haven't.
- 15:30I haven't looked it up, cause damn cause damn yeah, because Zamn is
- 15:33the Shaq movie. I think that just did another movie like in that time
- 15:37that had that kind of like attire and it was kind of like the same
- 15:41vibe kind of movie, you know what I mean. Because you can't find
- 15:45it though. But you know how Hollywood they always make like similar movies around
- 15:48the same time. I mean, everybody, I can't find it. Now,
- 15:52Let's let's see what movie uh Simbad was it? What's the filmography?
- 15:58There we go. I'm about to look this up and see because there had
- 16:03to be one like that. He he dressed that way, you know what
- 16:07I mean. I looked, Bro, I looked it up. I looked.
- 16:10I'm the biggest support of it was Sindbad and you know, I feel
- 16:15like, but now because people can photo shop and create random stuff, I
- 16:21feel like someone created it was because it wasn't even the real clip. It
- 16:25was the cell phunk footage of a clip of Sindbad dressed as a genie.
- 16:30Yeah, I'm telling you, brou it has to be. It has to
- 16:36be from some kind of like show or something that he did where he dressed
- 16:41like that, you know what I mean, like and he did that that
- 16:42same like kind of concept. Let me see I'm looking up. Yeah,
- 16:49Olso it was nothing man that looked dead. Yeah, everybody thought he was
- 16:52dead and he wasn't. So once everybody found out he was alive, they're
- 16:56like, nah, he died. He's been dead, Like everybody believes he's
- 16:59been dead and he wasn't. Oh oops, Like did it again the Britney
- 17:03Spears video. She had a headset on in that video, right, I
- 17:10don't really remember to be honest, all right, Well, she's never had
- 17:12a headset on that video. Jeffy. It's never ever said Jeffy in the
- 17:18logo. It's only said jiff The Jiffy logo has never had the whole world's
- 17:26the whole world sped out right now, that was here, right, It's
- 17:30never had the whole jiffy words spell out on the on the actual peanut butter
- 17:34camp. It's only said ever for life. It's only ever said Jeff.
- 17:41That's w all right. Nice scratching his head now, nice scratches. Looney
- 17:45Tunes was te tunes like music tunes. It was never tunes like cartoons.
- 17:52Okay, yep. The all the bearstem Bears, Oh yeah, I mean
- 18:00that. I remember it was like the spelling of it. It's never been
- 18:03with the e. It's always been with it a the bear stains bears,
- 18:07but it was pronounced bear stains. But yeah, the bear steam bears has
- 18:11never existed ever. Yeah. I feel like it's like we we just assumed
- 18:17things are a certain way in our head and our mind like tricks us into
- 18:19thinking that's how it was, you know what I mean. Curious George the
- 18:23Monkey did he have a tail? I don't know. Okay, he had
- 18:30a water park at Universal, but he's never had a tail, and people
- 18:34always thought he had a monkey tale coming out. He's never had a tail.
- 18:38Bro Oh, Sex and the City, I knew that one. Uh
- 18:44for breeze, oh for breeze? Is it two e's or one e oney.
- 18:51Yeah, everybody always thought it was uh two we I mean two weeks.
- 18:56Yeah. Oscar Mayer was never Oscar Mayer has always been out mayor.
- 19:00Yo. It's funny. One of those one of those experiences I had was
- 19:04for a long time I would call the cool ranch Doritos cooler ranch. So
- 19:11I will always call them cooler Ranch, and everybody be like, yo,
- 19:15what is that. Like, I'm like, They're called cooler Ranch Doritos.
- 19:18And then I looked at them and I'm like, do you say cool ranch?
- 19:21Like what the heck? Yeah? But come to find out, they
- 19:25did like a campaign. I guess at a certain time when like the Nacho
- 19:30cheese ones were nacho cheesier and then the cool ranch were cooler Ranch, like
- 19:33they made you know what I mean, And it was just I guess at
- 19:37that time was probably like the first time I really gots or something, so
- 19:41it just stuck with me, like cooler red. Now I've been boss depausing
- 19:45Doritos since like ninety nine, so I know it was always cool ranch yo.
- 19:51Yo. When when we talked about this the other day in the chat,
- 19:56Taco Bell really dropped a Doritos taco and the meal was two dollars.
- 20:03It was a toritos, taco, a drink, and what was it the
- 20:07chips? Ye, little nachos. No, no, no, a bag
- 20:11of chips that's what it was. Oh no, a bag of doritos,
- 20:15that's what it was. A two dollar meal, Bro, two dollar meal,
- 20:18a bag of doritos, a taco, and a drink two dollars at
- 20:22Taco Bell. Bro, that's crazy, dog. That was like the craziest
- 20:29deal of you know. I went the other day to Taco Bell with my
- 20:30son. We spent nineteen dollars. Bro. Yeah, Taco Bell with my
- 20:36son. Bro. That don't even make no sense. He's ten dog.
- 20:40Tacobo used to have the dollar menu too. They didn't call it dollar menu
- 20:44because well they had a dollar mine less than a dollar. I remember the
- 20:48soft taco was seventy nine cents. Seventy nine sounds just about it. Say
- 20:52that. I remember we used to we used to hoop. Three of my
- 20:55homies. We used to hoop and his dad used to take his tacobo after
- 20:57hoop it. I've tacos each fight out, his fight out his fight dollars,
- 21:02but less than twenty bucks. We had twenty tops mortgage board. Bro,
- 21:07let's go. But we were talking about it the other day too,
- 21:10like over here in Orlando, there's like an area in East Orlando there's a
- 21:14wing spot and they used to have a sign up that said wing Wednesdays.
- 21:18Ten cent wings Bro, ten cent wings. I think about that, Yo,
- 21:25I think about it, like, why was I a kid? Then?
- 21:29Why was I a child? Dog? You go with a dollar and
- 21:33get ten wings? Yeah, ten wings for a dollar. And I remember
- 21:37when it changed because we were talking about it too. Maryland Fried Chicken,
- 21:42shout out Dean Bro, Maryland Fried Chicken. I remember we was out of
- 21:47high school and we hadn't gone there in a while, and we're like,
- 21:51yo, let's just pick up a grip of Maryland Fried Chicken everybody. And
- 21:55what we used to cost like twenty twenty five bucks, it rang up like
- 21:57fifty bucks and we're like, no, no, no, we ain't order
- 22:00that much. They're like, yeah, you ordered this this They were like
- 22:03that costs fifty bucks. Now they're like yeah. We're like all right,
- 22:07it was probably last time we ever coming here. Bro. And that's like
- 22:11a dollar apiece at some places. Someplace it's like a dollar twenty five each
- 22:15bro for yep. Yeah, Now I remember, like there's this new Italian
- 22:21spot right not you in time, there's an Italian spot that we haven't been
- 22:22to right up the street eighteen ninety nine for a ten piece. You used
- 22:30to go to Katas right up the street n ninety times. Oh no,
- 22:34yeah, back in the day. Yeah, that was the back of the
- 22:37day. Then it raises to seven ninety nine, and then nine ninety nine.
- 22:41I think now it's like sixteen bucks or something. Yeah, yeah,
- 22:44no, they I don't know if it is it really the price of chicken.
- 22:48There's more chicken in the world than they are humans. Is it really
- 22:51the price of chicken or bro? Maybe we're the chicken. But yeah,
- 22:57it's crazy. How shit you to be back then and it is now,
- 23:03and but it also could be popularity now. So back then there wasn't that
- 23:07many customers. People really know about these places. So as social media comes
- 23:12about, and then it comes about it like oh go to this spot and
- 23:15you can get twenty piece for nine dollars. You know who'll be having a
- 23:21good good wing deals And this is a deep cut. This is only for
- 23:23the people like in Orlando Marco's pizza dog. Damn. I never had their
- 23:30wings, Marco's Pizza. They got a few, They got a few around,
- 23:33like, they're pretty popular, and they got good tasting wings and they're
- 23:37very fairly priced. Dn, you're not a gatekeeper. Oh no, of
- 23:41course not. So you ever heard a Tory Tory pub down on Mills?
- 23:48Yeah, isn't that the place we talked about? Oh shit? So yeah,
- 23:52my bad. Wow we had in that conversation about But then you see
- 23:57Fab drop the freestyle and shot a vide at the one in Orlando. Yes,
- 24:02oh that's dope. Yeah, and he's like, first Stop Orlando got
- 24:07all the shorties. First stop were passing by Tory Tory. Everybody's tight because
- 24:12it's so hard to get a table there now because it's open that fire,
- 24:17and they're like, we're never going to get a table there, like nobody's
- 24:21ever going to be able to go there again. And that's what I tell
- 24:23you. So when you told me, so here's a conversation, let's say
- 24:26about it. He told me service was terrible. I said check. He
- 24:33said the food came out of all different times. I said check. And
- 24:37that's everything I've ever heard about that place for years and that's what it is.
- 24:41But I heard the food quality and more specifically, if you in a
- 24:45certain kind of food, if you have an acquired taste for a certain kind
- 24:51of food, that's the place to go for there. And that's my kind
- 24:53of food. So that's why I was like, I'm still gonna go.
- 24:57I don't care, I am listen, I'm still going. And I ran
- 25:02to the same thing he ran into. We ordered the rights to eat with
- 25:04all our meat paws, and we got the rights at the very end,
- 25:08and it was like that could have been better, but at the same time,
- 25:12it's expected. So and I went there right at five with it.
- 25:17It literally opens right at five pm. Open. That's crazy. Yeah,
- 25:21it opens that five. That's not even open the all day. And I
- 25:22showed up right at five, had to parking spire right in the front door,
- 25:26and I still had that same kind of interaction. Took him about twenty
- 25:30minutes to get our drinks. But the food was amazing. What I never
- 25:34even heard of it. Like when I met with somebody there and when he
- 25:37gave me the address, I just put it in my I mean when he
- 25:41told me the place, I just put in my GPS and went to that
- 25:42I don't even know what it was, you know. Yeah, the thing
- 25:45with me funny stories that now, But real quick, my thing with it
- 25:49is just this. I don't like overpaying for food if I'm not going to
- 25:53have a good experience, you know what I mean. I don't like overpaying
- 25:57for food period. But if I am service better be good. The service
- 26:00got to be good because I'm I cooked, you know what I mean.
- 26:03Like I like to make my own food. So it's like, if I'm
- 26:06going to step out and and pay the extra for you know, the out
- 26:11the outside dining experience, I want to have a good time, you know
- 26:15what I mean. That's a big thing for me, you know what I
- 26:18mean. Yeah, that's why there's people who pay for the experience and get
- 26:22get you know, good enough food, and there's people who pay for the
- 26:26food and get mediocre service. But you know, the going there for two
- 26:30different reasons. Like I woant to ever say go there. That place is
- 26:33great, you know, the environment, you know, the environment is dope,
- 26:37but the service does suck. The way the food comes us, they're
- 26:40gonna take a minute, and it's pricey. But for what I had,
- 26:45that shit was busted, And like me, and wife feel good. And
- 26:47that's just saying the whole stort. Backstory, was it that our first date
- 26:51in Orlando was trying to take it there to tell her I was a lover
- 26:53her and I want to marry her, and we couldn't get in because we
- 26:56were went too late. So we was always suck about. We got to
- 27:00go there one day and now that we went there, it was cool.
- 27:03But she could care less about going back. She care less about going back.
- 27:07I'm going to go back again, but if she don't want to go
- 27:08back, I ain't gonna go back with myself. But yeah, that's the
- 27:12main reason, like you and Quinsey was like yeah, yeah, it's like
- 27:15I don't care be going Yeah, man, Like I don't even like going
- 27:22out to eat like period, you know what I mean. My wife likes
- 27:25it and that's the only reason I do it, like just to you know,
- 27:29you know, you gotta a piea, you gotta do the apisle,
- 27:33you know what I'm saying. But like for me, like I don't mind
- 27:36getting takeout somewhere I don't like I mean, I don't mind like certain type
- 27:41of restaurants, you know what I mean. But like overall, just like
- 27:45going out to eat. It's not my thing at all, like not even
- 27:48almost. Yep, now that is that is my thing. But with my
- 27:56wife, she gets tired of restaurants really easy. Like I said, she's
- 28:00more like that, but I forced, I'm the enforcer. Like now we're
- 28:03going up somewhere where we're going and I come up with these labor restaurants.
- 28:07It's just like, nah, let's just pick something we've already been to and
- 28:10we already like him, Like, yeah, I like like my types of
- 28:15places are like places that specialize in takeout, you know what I mean,
- 28:19like Spanish bakeries, Spanish delis. Yeah, but see, those are the
- 28:26good spots. And that's why I'm I see you. I'm glad you're not
- 28:27a gatekeeper because those little spots are the spots of they're really good food too.
- 28:33Yeah, that's what I like. I like them little like random places
- 28:36that have been there forever. It's not expensive because it's the truth because uh
- 28:40huh, that just that. I just like that real good food, bro,
- 28:42Like yeah, you know what I mean. Quincy's real good about that
- 28:47too, especially like out in out in Georgia. Bro, whenever we go
- 28:49out there, he knows all the like firefire spots, you know what I
- 28:52mean. Yeah, I went to this spot by the airport and we could
- 28:56wrap it up here with this talk. I went to the spot by the
- 28:59airport and it's called I Love New York Pizza. And my coworker takes in
- 29:03Orlando. Yeah, Orlando Dog, that's the best pizza place in Orlando.
- 29:08My part worker don't even live here, and he's been going there for ten
- 29:11years every time he's in town. Best pizza place, loner knew him.
- 29:15Yo, three twenty five, shortball, dude, Right, yeah, dude,
- 29:19three twenty five, but two slices of Minnesota bruh, best pizza ever
- 29:26tastes. A matter of fact, I'm gonna take as David mar dog best
- 29:29pizza. When my daughter was small, we lived on Summer and that's like
- 29:33East Orlando, and I lived like literally like six minutes from there. Bro,
- 29:38we used to eat that spot all Yo. They had this combo.
- 29:42It was a pizza, garlic knots and wings. Bro. The joint was
- 29:48eighteen ninety nine dogs pizza, garlic knots, and the order of wings like
- 29:53a twelve order of wings. Dog pizza, garlic knots and twelve Wings eighteen
- 29:59ninety nine. Bro. Yeah, we walked in there, like I said,
- 30:03three twenty five because I wasn't that hungry and they were big slices,
- 30:07so three twenty five. I got a slice and a soda. And it's
- 30:10funny because I got a fountain soda and it was like mister Pepper or like
- 30:17fine to you know. It wasn't even the real soda, but it was.
- 30:19It tasted the same. But I saw the garden nous. I didn't
- 30:22get them. I saw they had beef patties. And I will ta to
- 30:26drive out there to meet you out there, and we might need That might
- 30:30where we need to be because she hasn't been there. I need to take
- 30:32care there. That might be where we do it. I'll go with with
- 30:36Wifey. We the double date dogs. If I told her, Yo,
- 30:40we're gonna go out of New York, She's gonna be like, oh my
- 30:41god, it's crazy. And I was like, that's crazy. Like I
- 30:45drove by this street all the time. I've never known there, and he's
- 30:48like, yeah, I've been coming for ten years. I was like,
- 30:49bro, you don't even live here. And as soon as the owner came
- 30:52out, he's like, hey, what's up and talking to my coworker,
- 30:55and I was like, damn you for really it's like I told you no,
- 30:57games like those are the spots that still exists. I've been going from
- 31:03there since literally they opened, Like I remember when they built that spot in
- 31:06that plaza, and like literally from the very beginning, I used to go
- 31:10there and when I worked at the airport when I was younger, Bro,
- 31:12I used to always get pizza from there, like on my break. Oh
- 31:17my gosh, Bro, I'm glad I experienced it late. But that's one
- 31:22place that is going to be on the list when we want a night's good
- 31:23cheap meal to get stopped. Pauls Man, it's a good drive from It's
- 31:29like ten minute drive from where we live. Yeah, man, you've been
- 31:33an okay one on Yeah. Yeah, I don't know how it is now,
- 31:37but back in the day that place used to slap slap. Yeah,
- 31:41that place. I think it's funny because that's the first time I've got Columbian
- 31:47food, and my wife's Colombian and I never dated Colombian women, never ate
- 31:52Colombian food. So now that I know what that whole cuisine is, I'm
- 31:56more interested in going there, but she grew up more in a south side
- 32:00and there's actually went over there by Florida Mall. We passed by. That's
- 32:02a brand. Okay, that's dope. That's something funny about like living out
- 32:07here and being from out here that all these Spanish spots all over the place,
- 32:10and then like every time I visit anywhere else, dog, they don't
- 32:14got nothing Spanish anywhere, like in the in the walmarts, like nothing,
- 32:19dog, Like, the don't have Spanish stuff, like, for example,
- 32:22like in Cali, obviously they have like a lot of Mexican stuff, Puerto
- 32:27Rican stuff. It's like, oh man, that's hard to come by.
- 32:29Bro. We didn't have one Puerto Rican restaurant in Vegas and we had one
- 32:32Cuban spot, crazy Dog Crazy. There's a Puerto Rican spot next out of
- 32:37New York piece. So you've been there. Yeah, that used there used
- 32:40to be uh what's it called, uh the Barbecue Place, the Puerto Rican
- 32:47Barbecue Place. It still is, yeah, yeah, they just rebranded it,
- 32:51but it's the same thing. Yeah. I never knew that was there
- 32:53either. I want to try that. What was the name before it turned
- 32:57into Matt's Barbecue before that, but before that it was something else. It
- 33:01was. It was a Spanish name, but they had like a whole bunch
- 33:05of them around. That's what the There's a place called Ledlows near me,
- 33:08the fire Puerto Rican food, the best Puerto Rican food dog. And it
- 33:13used to be that place back in the day too. I can't I can't
- 33:16remember the name. Man. It was like it might have been my Thales
- 33:19Barbecue because it was just it was just like the Spanish version of mad I
- 33:22think, yeah, I think it was my Thales Barbecue or something like that.
- 33:27But anyway, dog that place it turned into a few different like Spanish
- 33:30spots, and that place is the gas bro because they had like they had
- 33:36the chicken recipe dog, you know what I mean. And like the places
- 33:38that were that place that turned into something else. They kept the same chicken
- 33:43recipe in the same process and they got the same rotistory of It's like it's
- 33:46the same thing as before. I'd say, and I'm already hungry thinking of
- 33:52that dog. You go in there, bro. I always get the family
- 33:55meal from there. I pull up like early in the morning, like Arono,
- 33:59Well not early in the morning, but early for lunch, you know
- 34:00what. I mean, I'll be there like ten thirty or something. Dog,
- 34:04there's a line out the door already, and they got hundreds of chickens
- 34:08just turning in the Yeah, like hundreds. You're like, dog, they're
- 34:12gonna get through all that chicken. And sure enough, at the end of
- 34:15the day they run out. Bro. It's like, oh my gosh,
- 34:20Dog, there's no way I won if they have the leftover chicken the next
- 34:23day, like high school used to have the leftover pieces. Bro, I'm
- 34:27telling you there's no such thing. They run out, dog like if you
- 34:30go like too late in the night, they don't have anything left. Dog.
- 34:34Yeah, we just put they know of us, know, we just
- 34:37put mad people onto the spot. Yeah. Facts, if you're from Orlando,
- 34:40you just came up for sure. And then there's there's a couple of
- 34:45different versions of this place. But I said Rancho, but the one off
- 34:50Samarron, not the one ghost. Yeah, it's a it's a Mexican spot,
- 34:57not the one that there's one downtown, same name. But then there's
- 35:01an like you stayed that mad Spanish? I think, he said Rancho.
- 35:08I feel like there's a no, that's crazy Tacos a Rancho in Vegas.
- 35:13It's this one here too. I never heard of this one. Yeah,
- 35:19that's one of the chickasaw And then there's one off like Hoffner and Kanye there
- 35:24goes. That's the one that's the because I've been to all of them,
- 35:28but the Knaway and Hoffner one, that's the one and bro And that's what
- 35:34I'm excited too. Like I say, you know, we had so much.
- 35:37We had all the you know, regular cuisine from everywhere else, but
- 35:42as far as Spanish food, all we had was Mexican. Yeah, and
- 35:45it was just like, uh, franchise Mexican. So it was that's how
- 35:52we were filled with And I know that's not like that here, Like we
- 35:57had a Habenaros. There's a Habenaros real here and it's happened Arrows in Vegas,
- 36:01and the one here's nothing like that one. Yeah. And I'm excited
- 36:06to try all this food over here, man for sure. Yeah. Man,
- 36:09they just open up like an authentic boba spot near us too. And
- 36:14my wife loves boba. I like it a lot too, but she really
- 36:16really likes it. Yeah. Yeah, they just open like a real like
- 36:21dope spot near us. I always get the Vietnamese coffee with the coffee jellies.
- 36:25I never I've never had it, and I hear how popular it is.
- 36:29Boba's fired, bro, but it has to be from a good place
- 36:32because if you get a whack boba, you're gonna be tight because you're gonna
- 36:37spend like seven or eight bucks. So the little balls in the pause like
- 36:42beans, So there's different cons like when you have boba. There's like the
- 36:45ones that are kind of like like a hard jelly that's like the traditional kind
- 36:51of boba. Then they got the palpable ones that is basically like a jelly
- 36:57ball, you know what I mean, with liquid inside. And then the
- 37:00ones I get is they're called coffee jellies, like they got. They're called
- 37:05jellies because they're basically like little slices of jello. Got so you consume everything
- 37:10in that cup when you leave, you leave the million, you eat everything.
- 37:14Because the way I get it is I get the coffee jellies, So
- 37:17basically it's like coffee that they turn into like a jello, so it has
- 37:22that on the bottom, and I get a Vietnamese coffee slush and then it's
- 37:29basically coffee jellies with a coffee slush on top. Oh my gosh, bro,
- 37:32kind of sounds a yeah, it's fire bro, and it's Vietnamese coffee,
- 37:37like they brew it and then put it in the thing and then make
- 37:39the slush so it's like like a coffee like you know. And if you
- 37:44never have these coffee Vietnamese, I don't think I've ever had it. That's
- 37:46something that probably never had. You know what they do the list, You
- 37:50know what they do. They put condensed milk in it, so they don't
- 37:52put sugar milk and it basically a semur and the sugar Bro. Yeah,
- 38:04that's not like it hit different. Yeah, Yo, shout out to Ronnie.
- 38:07Ronnie was the one that put me on the Vietnamese food. He put
- 38:12me onto Vietnams before, like like you were going there and it would just
- 38:15be like a low key spot, you know what I mean. It was
- 38:19the original one that was like the road. Yeah, like ull Rone University.
- 38:22Was it like that original one? Yep? We would go there,
- 38:25bro, super low key. There was mad tables available, Oh my gosh,
- 38:31bro. And that place was amazing. Bro. Yeah. They put
- 38:35one over on my side a little more east and colonial. Put my parents
- 38:39on to there. They still go there almost every other week. That one's
- 38:43good too. That one is just as good as the original one. And
- 38:45I like how I was a dude that we went to high school with.
- 38:49Matter of fact, that opened up. Nah, yeah, it's one of
- 38:52Ronnie's people's. That's crazy he was. I didn't know him, but I
- 38:57know he went to Oh you know what I mean. But Ronnie actually was
- 39:00like cool. No. I like their concept smart little spots like that,
- 39:05because I know, like DomU has had something like that. There's like two
- 39:08locations and each location has something significant that the other one doesn't have, so
- 39:14it forces people to make the drive out to the other one no matter how
- 39:16much you like it. If you want this, you gotta come over here.
- 39:20Oh that's dope. Yeah. Yeah. My my side mission in life
- 39:23is to open a little spot like got I got a concept of everything,
- 39:27Like I've had this idea for like mad years, dog, and I'm just
- 39:30like, it's not something that I'm actively pursuing because I have other things that
- 39:34I'm pursuing that that's more important to me. But it's like my big side
- 39:37mission. You know, when Grand Theft Potto, when you beat the game
- 39:39and the side missions. Yeah. I once I'm ready to start picking up
- 39:45the payphones. That's what I'm going to start thinking about this spot. I'm
- 39:49the same way I suck at my little bar. I've been watching bar Rescue
- 39:52for eighteen years. I'm gonna oh and you know it's gonna be called the
- 39:58spot, the spot, I mean had spot. You know, I tell
- 40:04everybody by that ship, I feel like I know everything I need and I
- 40:07think, like I said, like me and you know what we know,
- 40:10and we know we can do something good just when the time's ready, we
- 40:15can do it. But as far as making it good, we know we
- 40:17can do that. Yeah, yeah, facts fact yeah man. That that
- 40:22like you were saying, the idea behind vietnams is like a super dope concept.
- 40:28And I like stuff like that and I appreciate stuff like that too,
- 40:30Like you know when they open like a unique kind of spot and figure out
- 40:35a way to give you good food and a way that is profitable for them
- 40:40but also a bang for your buck, you know what I mean. Like,
- 40:44that's that's the kind that's the thing. Bro. It's so funny,
- 40:46man, Like this is kind of random, but we'll kind of like start
- 40:50winding down with this. But I see, like I've always made my money
- 40:55like dealing with business people, you know what i mean, Like business to
- 40:59business type things, you know what i mean. So I've always kind of
- 41:04seen like the way people operate, and it's not even anything that's like a
- 41:07secret. It's not anything that's like they're like gatekeeping anything from anybody. Like
- 41:13as far as like being successful, it just really is like taking your time
- 41:16to come up with a really good idea, making sure the idea is rock
- 41:21solid, and hitting your goals to achieve it, you know what I mean.
- 41:24Like it's just the same boring stuff that everybody like thinks, like we
- 41:29always talk about it, bro Like it's boring to like make something happen because
- 41:34it's just like work, you know what I'm saying. And there's no like
- 41:37cool thing about work people. I feel like that's what everybody's trying to do
- 41:43with like content and social media and stuff, is like how can I make
- 41:46the ugly part of what I'm doing look as cool as possible? Yeah,
- 41:51you know what I mean. And it's just funny to me because it's like
- 41:54that that's what we all you know what I'm saying. Everybody's just trying to
- 41:58work through the ugly part, you know what I mean. And I think
- 42:01that's the quality over quantity, and the smart business people like these spots we've
- 42:07been talking to mapping open for years and everybody's say, oh, it's so
- 42:09busy, why don't you open a new one. It's because that's not what
- 42:13we're trying to do exactly. We don't just want to multiply and multiplier,
- 42:15but we want to lock y'all into the spots that we have, force you
- 42:20to go there, force you to wait and enjoy your shit. And that's
- 42:23the thing man, Like we always We've been talking about it a lot lately,
- 42:28just from the point of view of like so many places like and go
- 42:30of employees, and it's like, yeah, because they get greedy. They
- 42:32start making all this money and they say, oh, the money's here.
- 42:37While it's here, we got to maximize it. They start expanding in ways
- 42:40that they know they can't sustain, and then they just wait for the for
- 42:44the other shoot to fall to then just start making tough decisions. And it's
- 42:47like then you have other places like what we're talking about, where it's like,
- 42:51all right, you make a certain business model, it works. You
- 42:54figure out how you can do it where it's manageable, where you're making good
- 42:58money, where you still you know control it, and still you know quality
- 43:01control. Bro. It's like the most important thing, you know. That's
- 43:04why chick fil A is Chick fil A dog, because number one thing for
- 43:08them is quality control. Anywhere you go in the freaking nation, dog,
- 43:13any world trip, anytime I've taken a flight, anytime I've ever gone to
- 43:16Chick fil A anywhere, Dog, it tastes like the one down the street
- 43:20from my house, and it was hitting every time. Bro. You can't
- 43:22say that about other fast food joints now. And that's it's funny because and
- 43:28it's so good you no matter where you go. If they messed up and
- 43:30live a little bit. Like one time we didn't get a Chick fil A
- 43:34saus was like, damn, bro, we expected more from y'all. Yeah,
- 43:38and you only have like those experiences that you can only count like on
- 43:42one hand, only a couple of fingers, you know what I mean,
- 43:45exactly like McDonald's or Wendy Order. I'd be like, oh, typical,
- 43:47yeah, fast, typical. But if Chick fil A is like come on
- 43:52from you, you feel mad yeah, come on, I expect it more
- 43:55from you now that what happened to me literally the other day at Chick fil
- 43:59a that I was like thrown off. And it's funny because when you hear
- 44:02you're gonna be like it's not even like a bad thing, but like we
- 44:06asked for extra buffalo sauce, and when they gave us the buffalo sauce dog,
- 44:10they gave like twenty buffalos, bro, and we're like, dang,
- 44:15God, like seriously, Twenny, Like there's not even enough nuggets in here
- 44:19to justify like you know what I'm saying, there's like extra buffalo sauce again,
- 44:25yeah, bro, And even that is like, oh, they just
- 44:28you know, gave you more than you asked for, you know what I
- 44:30mean. But yes, yeah, next next episode, we're gonna have the
- 44:37the Three Amigos return back again. We're getting through the you know, New
- 44:44Year's coming up, so we're getting through the holiday stretch. Everybody's always like
- 44:47so into the holiday season and you get so wrapped up into it and it
- 44:52goes slow and fast at the same time. It's so crazy, like how
- 44:55it like drags but zips, you know what I mean. We moved here
- 45:00anticipated moving here so we could be here for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and that
- 45:06ship is long by. Yeah. Literally, it's like it feels like we
- 45:10just talked about. Like you're like, oh, yeah, we locked in
- 45:14the apartment. Yeah, like you know what I'm saying. Yeah, it's
- 45:19great. Well, we did shout out to us. We did have a
- 45:22great session, came through, did some work, went over, new ship
- 45:27went over, ideas went over, made a little beats together, got a
- 45:31little products together. I like that, man. So it's like we're ready
- 45:36set up the next one. Yeah, yeah, hopefully when Quincy's there so
- 45:39we can all be there. Maybe, Like I said, we got to
- 45:43record the next show, all the show all together. Man. Yeah,
- 45:45that's for sure. Yeah. Man, like we've been saying, man,
- 45:50like, the future is right, but the future always right, not even
- 45:52just because the New year's coming, but just like if you're just locked in
- 45:55and doing what you need to be doing, there's always something to look forward
- 45:59to, you know. I'm saying, well, sir, but yeah you
- 46:01got Oh man, I got a new song dropping January eight. Yeah,
- 46:06bring it up. I did Produced by, written by same thing as your
- 46:10Christmas track by, mixed by, mastered by Yeah, and making a difference
- 46:17when it's making a difference. Yeah, second song of the year that I'm
- 46:21dropping, Like just my own work, you know, from the beginning,
- 46:24like literally making the beat, recording myself, make a master everything, like
- 46:29just doing it all just because you know, I don't want to give myself
- 46:32an excuse for not putting out music sometimes, you know what I mean.
- 46:37I'm pretty consistent when it comes to putting out music, but I would like
- 46:38to put out more and this is definitely gonna help rever do that. Yes,
- 46:44sir, you're on this trip. You're on a streak right now,
- 46:47Yes, sir, appreciated, man, And the stuff that's on the way.
- 46:51Man, I'm super excited though. It's original, man, I think
- 46:53we're in a we're in a time of originality and it's people who do things
- 46:58different that's going to start sticking, not the most And you're writing that lane.
- 47:01You gotta keep you gotta keep writing that lane. You're gonna be writing
- 47:05the mix of everybody who's doing it too. Yeah. Man, I'm excited,
- 47:08bro, I'm excited. I mean, I'm still gonna be dropping music
- 47:10like the conventional ways I was before, but I'm gonna be able to fill
- 47:15in a lot of gaps just doing my own thing. You know what I'm
- 47:17saying. Sure, Well, yeah, man, that's all I got.
- 47:23You got anything, Yeah, for sure. SoundCloud dot Com Slash NISI Records.
- 47:30The mixes are gonna come in NonStop. I already found my groove.
- 47:35I just had all my shit locked up in a fucking storage facility for a
- 47:38last month. Twitch dot Com Slash show for NISI. The streams just coming
- 47:45cod single player games, content after content after content, more grounded show things,
- 47:52more guests. I already have a bunch of people lined up now that
