Latest / Brett Keane and Eve Show / Is Donald Trump a Racist?
Transcript
- 0:00I made a video the other day asking people when was the
- 0:03moment that they came to the conclusion Donald Trump is
- 0:06racist. A lot of people say the central
- 0:08Part 5. We'll talk about that in another
- 0:10video. For me personally, it was the
- 0:12very fine people on both sides thing.
- 0:15But you also had people that were very fine people on both
- 0:19sides. I remember seeing that clip and
- 0:21feeling like wow maybe he is racist and I just happened to
- 0:25come across this video on YouTube.
- 0:27It basically said that the clip was edited and that I should go
- 0:30back and watch the entire clip. So I watched the entire thing.
- 0:33It got to that point where he says very fine people in both
- 0:36sides. I'm like, see, that's exactly I
- 0:38knew. He said that there's no point in
- 0:40me even continuing to watch this.
- 0:41And then it goes on and it gets to the part where he's like and
- 0:44I'm. Not talking about the neo Nazis
- 0:46and the white nationalists because they should be condemned
- 0:48totally. So he said he wasn't talking
- 0:52about the neo Nazis and white supremacists.
- 0:54Why would they show me part of the story and make me feel like
- 0:57this? Even in the presidential debate
- 0:59against Joe Biden, he brought up the very fine people thing.
- 1:02He. Said I think they're fine people
- 1:03on both sides. What American president would
- 1:06ever say? Nazis coming out of fields
- 1:09carrying torches, singing the same anti-Semitic bile, carrying
- 1:12swastikas. We're fine people.
- 1:14Kamala Harris just brought it up on the recent debate.
- 1:17Let's. Remember Charlottesville where
- 1:20there was a mob of people carrying tiki torches spewing
- 1:24anti-Semitic hate? And what did the president then
- 1:28at the time say? There were fine people on each
- 1:30side. People are still saying it even
- 1:33though it's been debunked. Snopes just added this shit in
- 1:372024 that that was a lie supposedly said in 2017.
- 1:41He dropped out of a presidential race because white supremacist
- 1:45joint is saying. Party, I'm not going to be
- 1:47running the party is, as you know, self destructing.
- 1:50When you say the party is self destructing, what do you see as
- 1:52the biggest problem with the Reform party right now?
- 1:55Well, you've got David Duke just joined a bigot, a racist, a
- 1:58problem. I mean, this is not exactly the
- 2:00people you want in your party. Then you find that clip with him
- 2:02with Jesse Jackson. Beyond that, in terms of
- 2:05reaching out and being inclusive, he's done that too.
- 2:08And creative for many people are comfort zone.
- 2:10When I ran for the presidency in 8488 and many others thought it
- 2:14was either laughable or something to avoid, He came to
- 2:16our business meeting here in New York because he has this sense
- 2:20of the curious and the will to risk to make things better.
- 2:23And so aside from all of of his style and his pizzazz, he's a
- 2:29serious person who's an effective builder of building
- 2:32for the build of people. Last year, he was a part of our
- 2:34workshop of our panel workshop on what are the challenges and
- 2:38opportunities. And so this a year later, Donald
- 2:40Trump for a few minutes, challenges and opportunities to
- 2:44embrace the underserved communities.
- 2:45Donald Trump. Well, it is an honor to be here.
- 2:52You see the clip with him on The View, and him and Whoopi
- 2:55Goldberg, she's saying that they're friends.
- 2:57Well, they got they get Whoopi's vote if you if.
- 2:59You did. If.
- 3:00You did. Let me just ask if you did.
- 3:02Be And she likes me. She even put me in the movies.
- 3:04She's gonna say she put me in the movies right now.
- 3:07How much should I judge? Nothing.
- 3:13People who love this guy like Oprah's saying he should run for
- 3:16president. You have a vice presidential
- 3:22candidate. In mind?
- 3:24Well, I really haven't gotten quite there yet.
- 3:26It's just Oprah. I love Oprah.
- 3:28Oprah would always be my first choice.
- 3:29Oprah. Oprah.
- 3:30You're a competitor, right? You know.
- 3:32What she's, I'll tell you, she's really a great woman, though.
- 3:34She is a terrific woman. She's she's somebody that's very
- 3:36special. Judge Joe Brown said.
- 3:44I've talked. To a number of black
- 3:45entrepreneurs who back in the late 80s and 90s where early 90s
- 3:49were trying to get financing. They could.
- 3:52Somebody told him to go check with Donald Trump.
- 3:54So they come back and tell me they got a loan from Donald
- 3:56Trump. You gave him a term loan, show
- 3:59up with the interest in the principal, one check, but they
- 4:02had to go see him personally. They independently relate this
- 4:05tale that when they saw him, he said that's what you're supposed
- 4:07to be, that's our agreement, Said yeah.
- 4:08And then tore the check up, shook their hands and
- 4:10congratulations. Now run your business and this
- 4:13was when this was back in the night ish.
- 4:14Waka Flocka talks about how you showed him how to increase his
- 4:17wealth get to. See Corp to run LLC.
- 4:19If you make it even deeper, go get a trust fund to run the Corp
- 4:21that runs the LLC. You want to get even deeper, Own
- 4:23two trust funds for your business and your person to run
- 4:26that trust that runs all the business they can get deep.
- 4:28My God, absolutely. Donald Trump actually showed me
- 4:30a. Method People will say that they
- 4:32want truth, but when you tried to present them with information
- 4:34that goes against their beliefs of Donald Trump, they act like
- 4:37this. He's condemned white supremacy
- 4:39over 20 times. Oh yes man, could you?
- 4:41Could you tell me? Yeah, absolutely.
- 4:42Like to see a video of montage of of 20 times that he's done
- 4:45it. Actually, no.
- 4:48But how are we going to learn if we don't challenge our ideas?
- 4:50I mean, you just made a statement that is actually
- 4:52inaccurate. And I can show you video
- 4:54evidence of why it is. I mean, would like to see that.
- 4:55No, no, thank you. He's condemned white supremacy
- 4:57in the KKK over 20 * / 20 times. Do you have him right here?
- 5:01Can I listen to it? Absolutely you can.
- 5:02Let me pull it up for you right now.
- 5:03That's that. By the way, I'm James.
- 5:05How's your day going, man? I'd feel a lot better if you
- 5:07guys were wearing masks. We can socially distance.
- 5:10I gotta go. Wait, wait, wait.
- 5:11You don't want to see the examples?
- 5:12I have 20 examples right here. It's.
- 5:14Just like Yuri said. Exposure to true information
- 5:17does not matter anymore. A person who was demoralized is
- 5:22unable to assess true information.
- 5:24The facts tell nothing to him, even if I shower him with
- 5:28information, with the authentic proof, with documents, with
- 5:31pictures. When the military boat crashes
- 5:33his balls, then he will understand, but not before that.
- 5:36That's the tragic of the situation of demoralization.
- 5:38The populist versus the establishment, whatever they do
- 5:41to the populist candidate, they're doing to you.
- 5:43When you assist the establishment in crushing the
- 5:45populist candidate, they're going to turn around and do it
- 5:48to you next. Whatever rules that they broke
- 5:51to get at him that you cheered on because you were so anti him,
- 5:55those rules were broken so that they can get your consent.
- 5:59And now that they've used your hatred to build consent to break
- 6:03the rules, now they can turn that same attack towards you and
- 6:07you've yayed and amended into existence.
- 6:10If you previously believed that Trump was racist and then
- 6:13something changed your mind, I'd like to know what was that
- 6:17moment. Thank you for watching again,
- 6:19like I said, I appreciate your time and attention because you
- 6:21can't get it back. Leave whatever opinions that you
- 6:23want in the comments and I'll see you on the next one.
- 6:26Peace.
