Let's start with how it all happened. A couple of weeks ago.

Yes, it was actually the Sunday before Easter, so April second, and

the family was actually celebrating Easter that day because their oldest daughter is married and

she was going to her in laws for the actual holiday. And the snow

was coming um a couple of days later, and so Brian wanted to get

ahead of the snow and get on the roof and shovel the snow off.

There was a knock at the door rights literally when Jody, his wife,

and the kids were getting dinner set on the table, and the neighborhood asked

if they had heard from Brian or if he was still in the roof,

and Jody said, yes, we need to get him down dinners ready,

we're having Easter today. And he said, well, that's why I'm here.

I've been calling up to talk to him and he's not answering, and

I think someone needs to go on the roof and check on him. So

his son Owen I believe it was Owen, went up on the roof and

started resuscitating him. CPR right away called down to his brother in law Adam

to relieve him and tell the ambulance got there. In The firefighters just the

unimaginable. Yeah, and then for your family to witness it all, and

they ended up taking with the hospital. Unfortunately, Brian did not make it.

He ended up dying of a heart attack, is correct. Correct?

There just feels like there are no words, and it's one of those things

where we wanted to reach out to the family immediately and do anything you can.

And I think that's how our community is right now. It's like you

don't even have the time to process what's going on. It happened so suddenly,

and I think people right now who are listening, they want to give

is because you don't even know how to help somebody when you're going through this,

Brian was one. He was. His funeral service was amazing. I

was shocked with how many people in the community. He's been a coach on

the Fargo side for hockey for over twenty years. He's worked as with Heritage

Homes for almost nineteen years, and just wasn't expected. He was healthy,

he worked out, it wasn't expected, he didn't smoke. Just you just

never know, and for anyway, his four kids, he just became a

grappa last August, and just you're right, you don't know what to say

to the family, and you don't want to ask them how they are.

You just want to help without them asking. I can't imagine how everybody's feeling.

you're going to be meeting up with her soon, I am. It's her

birthday, so she's the family's going to start to birthdays actually today, and

they're going to start figuring out and navigating through all those first without him,

Brian was the provider. You know, their biggest concern is health, dental,

and vision for the four her and the three boys. So it's a

big cost when he was the one that took care of that, absolutely and

you don't even want to have them worry about that right now. It's just

the processing of it. So we really just want to be able to help

so that they can take some time to just be a family. And as

a sole provider of their family, I'm sure she feels lost on so many

levels. There's just so many layers to it, and we want to be

able to start a big Christmas Wish with a thousand dollars from our friends over
