- 0:00Speaker 1: Because fuck you, that's why is a founding member of
- 0:02Speaker 1: the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Hey man, it's episode two thirty four of bfytw and
- 0:43Speaker 2: Augie's not here, so you know what that means. Yeah, hey,
- 0:48Speaker 2: let's go here in a TV show. I like it.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I like it a lot. I made up a jingle
- 0:57Speaker 2: on the spot.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I like it that I might have the later every
- 1:01Speaker 1: time is not here, We'll play that.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Stevie show.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Oh man.
- 1:10Speaker 2: And it's our five year anniversary.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Crazy right, I can't believe five years? Yeah, today, Thursday,
- 1:18Speaker 1: the day just comes out five years and.
- 1:20Speaker 2: It feels it feels wrong to do a five year
- 1:23Speaker 2: anniversary show without Augie here, which is why we're not
- 1:26Speaker 2: doing a big thing. This is just a chill show.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Augie could not make it to the show this weekend.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Work being a.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Thing, yeah, damn work responsibilities.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah, the man, when.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Did we start paying attention to all these responsibilities?
- 1:42Speaker 2: I know, when do we start being adult and ship?
- 1:44Speaker 1: It's so dumb.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Anyway, So I figured we're just gonna chill, We're gonna
- 1:51Speaker 2: talk about whatever. It's just me and Stevie in the studio,
- 1:54Speaker 2: so we can literally do whatever the hell we want.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Oh shit, Hello Patreon, Hello, we're switching straight over.
- 2:06Speaker 2: It's not even going only fans. It's so dirty, it's
- 2:09Speaker 2: going on many bits my goal.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Why don't even know what that is. That's how dirty
- 2:12Speaker 1: it is.
- 2:13Speaker 2: That's how dirty it is. That's exactly what it is. Yeah,
- 2:19Speaker 2: So five years, man.
- 2:21Speaker 1: It was cool listening to the intro, knowing like because
- 2:23Speaker 1: we obviously knew before you did that today was the
- 2:25Speaker 1: five year anniversary, and then hearing that intro that your
- 2:28Speaker 1: brother came up with doctor doctor Kerosene letter.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Doctor Kerosene letter.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Yeah, way back in the before he was a doctor.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah, we told him we were looking to come up
- 2:39Speaker 2: with a podcast and we were looking to come up
- 2:41Speaker 2: with a tune that would play beginning and ending of
- 2:45Speaker 2: every and uh, my brother, doctor Kerosene Letter. He wasn't
- 2:48Speaker 2: a doctor then, but he he sent us like a
- 2:53Speaker 2: bunch of his, uh, incomplete songs that he, you know,
- 2:56Speaker 2: he'd come up with like riffs and things for, but
- 2:59Speaker 2: hadn't actually put together into a song yet. And we
- 3:01Speaker 2: were like, we listened to him and we were all
- 3:03Speaker 2: in agreement. Where were like this one.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Yeah, but it took a little bit because he kept
- 3:07Speaker 1: you kept sending it was like try this one. Oh, now,
- 3:10Speaker 1: listen to this one. Now listen. I'm like, oh my god,
- 3:12Speaker 1: there's like seven of them here.
- 3:14Speaker 2: A bunch but there were a bunch of row But
- 3:16Speaker 2: as soon as we heard the one, like we all knew,
- 3:20Speaker 2: like we were like, that is that is it? That
- 3:23Speaker 2: is that is that is our song right there? Uh.
- 3:27Speaker 2: And he was kind enough to let us use it
- 3:29Speaker 2: for the past five years, and he even turned it
- 3:31Speaker 2: into a full fledged song. If you if you've ever
- 3:35Speaker 2: been curious about where our tune comes from, you can
- 3:38Speaker 2: find it. Kerosene Letter is the name of the artist,
- 3:42Speaker 2: and the song is called breaking Down.
- 3:44Speaker 1: It's so good. The whole song is the song is
- 3:47Speaker 1: it's it's fantastic. It's so cool because like part way
- 3:50Speaker 1: through you hear our quote unquote our intro like and
- 3:54Speaker 1: it's like, oh, that's so awesome. You hear the rest
- 3:56Speaker 1: of the song with it's like, oh my god, dude,
- 3:59Speaker 1: it's so fucking hits.
- 4:00Speaker 2: So good, and we can't we can't not talk about
- 4:07Speaker 2: the reason the podcast exists in the first place, of course,
- 4:10Speaker 2: which is ho.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely they got so I was I.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Was missing him earlier. I did a PlayStation two episode
- 4:21Speaker 2: of the Gate Labers. Oh shit, now, like the PlayStation
- 4:26Speaker 2: and the PlayStation two, Jorge and I shared, like we
- 4:31Speaker 2: played so many games on those two systems together, like
- 4:36Speaker 2: and a big one was Couldcept Oh my god. That
- 4:41Speaker 2: game Cold sept is basically like Magic the gathering with
- 4:45Speaker 2: collecting cards and building a deck and Monopoly, because you
- 4:50Speaker 2: capture spaces, your your monsters, your creatures go down on them,
- 4:54Speaker 2: make the spaces cost more to pass through. Uh and
- 4:59Speaker 2: you know, and you're opponents bring their own creatures to
- 5:01Speaker 2: either try and take the space or they have to
- 5:03Speaker 2: pay you a toll. It's it's all very fun. It's
- 5:07Speaker 2: a very good game. It's a very fun game. But
- 5:10Speaker 2: the reason Horay and I took to it to a
- 5:12Speaker 2: duck to water is because there was the ability to
- 5:15Speaker 2: play co op versus two AI players, or even if
- 5:21Speaker 2: we were just feeling mean, co op versus two AI
- 5:26Speaker 2: players who weren't on the same team. So it would
- 5:28Speaker 2: be the two of us teaming up against two individual
- 5:31Speaker 2: players not working together, so we invariably destroy them. But
- 5:36Speaker 2: you know, we could handle our own if if we
- 5:38Speaker 2: teamed them up, it was more of a challenge then.
- 5:41Speaker 2: But we used to play that way all the time.
- 5:44Speaker 2: And I don't know if I've told you the story,
- 5:46Speaker 2: but that is genuinely Colcept is one of the last
- 5:50Speaker 2: games that Jorgy and I played together, no shit, Yeah, yeah,
- 5:54Speaker 2: he came over. I think it was before he was
- 5:58Speaker 2: starting to lose his eyesight but he still had most
- 6:02Speaker 2: of it. Yeah, And he came over and brought over
- 6:06Speaker 2: a Culcept and we played together for I don't know
- 6:08Speaker 2: how many hours, and then he gave me his copy
- 6:11Speaker 2: of it. He was like, you know, here, man, take it.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I was like, all right, if you're sure, and it
- 6:17Speaker 2: was it's that's a really special memory for me, not
- 6:23Speaker 2: only because it was it was like one of the
- 6:27Speaker 2: things that we bonded in so strongly, and he thought
- 6:31Speaker 2: it best that we like cap off that particular part
- 6:35Speaker 2: of our you know, the thing we enjoyed so much,
- 6:39Speaker 2: you know, by by playing this last game together. But
- 6:43Speaker 2: he also gifted me his copy. And the best part,
- 6:47Speaker 2: and this is the thing I love, is that you
- 6:51Speaker 2: your character and their deck are saved on your memory card,
- 6:54Speaker 2: but you can make the AI play as them, so
- 6:58Speaker 2: I can still team up with destroy and destroy the
- 7:04Speaker 2: enemies with our cards and decks. Whenever I want, and
- 7:09Speaker 2: it's great. It's it's the same thing with the wrestling game.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yes, yes, with w W.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Can literally set up myself, Jorge Stevie, Reluctant Butter uh
- 7:23Speaker 2: h Bomb, the Corporate Assassin, literally put all these into
- 7:29Speaker 2: the ring together and just watch us beat the ship
- 7:31Speaker 2: out of each other. We used to order food, get pizza,
- 7:37Speaker 2: and then we'd set up this match and then we
- 7:39Speaker 2: just let it play while we're sitting there eating watching
- 7:41Speaker 2: us beat the ship, just cheering, pull come on, come on,
- 7:49Speaker 2: you can do it. So funny.
- 7:52Speaker 1: That was some of the best the wrestling. The wrestling
- 7:54Speaker 1: is great, and the fact that you still have again
- 7:58Speaker 1: the card with everything else.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I I very wisely, and I don't you know, I'm
- 8:02Speaker 2: not trying to give myself a compliment here, but wisely
- 8:06Speaker 2: I decided as soon as the PS three memory card
- 8:11Speaker 2: adapter came out, which would allow you to transfer your
- 8:14Speaker 2: saves from your PS two memory cards onto the PS
- 8:17Speaker 2: three hard drive, it didn't take long for someone to
- 8:20Speaker 2: figure out how to connect that to a computer and
- 8:22Speaker 2: save them on a desktop. I still have all those
- 8:27Speaker 2: save files. They are still on the memory card, which
- 8:30Speaker 2: as far as I know, still works, but they are
- 8:32Speaker 2: also on my computer, so I will not lose them,
- 8:36Speaker 2: which is smart, Like you know, I have them backed
- 8:38Speaker 2: up so.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Much so that you actually set one to us and
- 8:42Speaker 1: we put it on our Patreon I believe, or our YouTube.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I can't remember.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Well we put the video up. I don't think we
- 8:48Speaker 2: put the actual memory card.
- 8:49Speaker 1: No, no, no, the video of.
- 8:52Speaker 2: We did one random video. Now the thing is like,
- 8:55Speaker 2: we did one random video of it to show on
- 8:57Speaker 2: our Patreon for Patreon debscribers to watch us beating the ship. Yeah,
- 9:06Speaker 2: we were not playing. We were just watching. But uh,
- 9:11Speaker 2: it will turn out different every time, like now to
- 9:14Speaker 2: be fair, or he usually.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Wins the biggest mother his biggest moment.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Having said that, like, it depends on the match settings too,
- 9:25Speaker 2: because if I turn on, if I turn on what
- 9:30Speaker 2: was it, what's the term for when you give up?
- 9:34Speaker 2: Like submission? If I if I allow submission players to
- 9:38Speaker 2: tap out, then reluctant Butter wins a majority of the
- 9:42Speaker 2: time because a lot of his moves were submission based,
- 9:46Speaker 2: like and that was an accident, Like I was just
- 9:48Speaker 2: trying to give him, like the moves he would use, tricky,
- 9:52Speaker 2: like I envisioned his character, his wrestling character be like
- 9:57Speaker 2: fast and tricky, like you know, So I gave him
- 10:00Speaker 2: a lot of quick or a lot of moves you
- 10:03Speaker 2: wouldn't suspect, you know, for things that would catch you
- 10:06Speaker 2: off guard. And I was like, that's perfect. So it's
- 10:11Speaker 2: it's interesting. But we can revisit at any time and
- 10:14Speaker 2: like we'll get a different We'll get a different result
- 10:17Speaker 2: every time. Like it's you never know who's gonna win.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Half the time, it's gonna be horridle but you literally
- 10:24Speaker 2: never know it could.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Be, could be, And that was half the fun. You
- 10:28Speaker 1: can still go back, that's the best part. Can still
- 10:30Speaker 1: go back and still do it. And it's like all
- 10:32Speaker 1: of us are still there. And it's as we all
- 10:35Speaker 1: get older, everybody starts to have more distances. It's just
- 10:38Speaker 1: it's the fact of life. You don't get as much
- 10:41Speaker 1: time to hang out with your friends as you normally do,
- 10:42Speaker 1: even our friends now, Like I haven't seen a lot
- 10:44Speaker 1: of my friends. It was our friend's birthday yesterday or
- 10:46Speaker 1: two days ago. I eat bombs. So I sent him
- 10:49Speaker 1: a message and I'm like, oh my god, and I
- 10:50Speaker 1: forgot he just bought a house. Yeah, and there's a
- 10:52Speaker 1: Mexican restaurant. He's like, yeah, I'm going to the restaurant
- 10:54Speaker 1: across the street, and I'm like, oh yeah, I forgot
- 10:56Speaker 1: you bought a house. We don't talk as much as
- 10:58Speaker 1: we used to.
- 10:58Speaker 2: It sucks.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Yeah, So like even though we're not always together, it's
- 11:02Speaker 1: nice to be able to like, well, we could throw
- 11:03Speaker 1: this on and it almost is like we're all still
- 11:05Speaker 1: cheering each other on watching this happen. It's the same
- 11:09Speaker 1: thing with like rock band and shit yeah, like or
- 11:12Speaker 1: hockey yeah, or hockey god yeah, because that's what we
- 11:15Speaker 1: all did, Like we all hung out and we played
- 11:17Speaker 1: all these games. We had so many good memories of
- 11:19Speaker 1: those games and good times. It's like you go back
- 11:21Speaker 1: to it and it kind of rekindles it, you know.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but in a very real way, like this, This
- 11:29Speaker 2: podcast from its inception has been about friendship.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Oh god.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Yeah, Like we wanted to preserve Jorge's voice, We wanted
- 11:38Speaker 2: to preserve his wit, Like dude was one of the
- 11:41Speaker 2: funniest motherfuckers I've ever met ever, and we wanted some
- 11:46Speaker 2: record of that because he is so funny. But he
- 11:50Speaker 2: would never get up on a stage, like he would
- 11:53Speaker 2: never like I even I even asked him. I think
- 11:55Speaker 2: when we were kids, I was like, if you ever
- 11:56Speaker 2: thought about doing stand up comedy because you're so damn funny,
- 12:00Speaker 2: and he was just like, no, man, I'd get so nervous.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I wouldn't be able to talk. And I'm like, oh shit, yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 2: stage fright is real, you know, right, and for some
- 12:07Speaker 2: people it's impossible to get over, which I understand completely,
- 12:12Speaker 2: but we had to have some way of saying like, hey, world,
- 12:15Speaker 2: this dude was fucking funny. So b fy TW grew
- 12:18Speaker 2: from that, and.
- 12:20Speaker 1: From also pants of Shorts starting with that oh yeah,
- 12:23Speaker 1: I mean really that even the starting Yeah, that really was.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I mean, aside from us friends hanging out, pants of
- 12:29Speaker 1: shorts was the actual, real starting.
- 12:31Speaker 2: The genesis trying to show off my friends and how
- 12:35Speaker 2: funny they are. Although I feel like pansa shorts is
- 12:38Speaker 2: a little bit more egotistical, Like I was trying to
- 12:39Speaker 2: show off how funny I was, Well you know.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Me, Well, no, I wouldn't even say that. I think
- 12:44Speaker 1: you showed off how funny all of us were because
- 12:46Speaker 1: we've all had stuff we all wrote together, like the
- 12:50Speaker 1: writing was together, collaborations always because we're all like, oh,
- 12:53Speaker 1: let's do it this way or whatever.
- 12:55Speaker 2: It's about the fish.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Oh, my god, the fish, the fish episode, my god,
- 13:01Speaker 1: he was coming back to that fish.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Well, to be fair, it's it's a perfect genesis of
- 13:07Speaker 2: what we're talking about. It is like most of those
- 13:10Speaker 2: lines were hori. It was so goddamn funny, like we
- 13:15Speaker 2: could we could barely get through that ship. And I
- 13:19Speaker 2: still it still makes me laugh hysterically to this day.
- 13:23Speaker 2: So funny.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Oh god. Yeah, I'll still go back to those every
- 13:26Speaker 1: now and then, every couple of months, I'll go throwing
- 13:28Speaker 1: them on the pensive charts and just have him go yeah.
- 13:30Speaker 1: And it's great seeing all. Yeah, we're all fucking mad, younger,
- 13:35Speaker 1: but the comedy man, we are some funny fucks. Like
- 13:40Speaker 1: some joke.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Yes, we are absolutely some funny fucks. And we've been
- 13:44Speaker 2: some funny focks for five years. It's still kind of
- 13:47Speaker 2: mind blowing. The journey to get here has been like insane,
- 13:52Speaker 2: Like it was.
- 13:52Speaker 1: It was just starting out on a kitchen table and
- 13:55Speaker 1: Jorge's apartment, yeap, with my one Uni one micro phone
- 14:00Speaker 1: that I used for streaming on my video games in
- 14:03Speaker 1: the center of a table. Yeah, and a hand recorder.
- 14:07Speaker 1: You can tell oh, no, we use the laptop.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Yeah, the sound, the sound, the sound quality has improved
- 14:13Speaker 2: a measurable.
- 14:14Speaker 1: God, I hope. So if it hasn't, somebody's not doing
- 14:17Speaker 1: her job correctly.
- 14:19Speaker 2: It's definitely substantially. We we've gone all the way from
- 14:24Speaker 2: that to having our own studio, which is nuts, right, Like.
- 14:31Speaker 1: You did it, like, well, we all did it. We
- 14:34Speaker 1: all did it, but it's crazy because.
- 14:35Speaker 2: This was more you than the rest of us. This
- 14:38Speaker 2: is this is this was a lot you, I would say,
- 14:41Speaker 2: pushed for this.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I have a problem that when I find something I like,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I go like one hundred and eighty percent into it,
- 14:46Speaker 1: like every every It's always the way I was. It's
- 14:49Speaker 1: when I like to drink guess what I spoke weed
- 14:54Speaker 1: now right, Yeah, there's so much we like, no joke,
- 14:58Speaker 1: but like when we got into the podcast, like we
- 15:01Speaker 1: were we started the podcast at Jorge's place and we
- 15:04Speaker 1: were all like, this is we're gonna do this, like
- 15:06Speaker 1: we are doing this like and I'm like, all right,
- 15:09Speaker 1: this is something like you put a lot of money
- 15:12Speaker 1: in time in the pencils, shorts and your the YouTube
- 15:15Speaker 1: channel and all the videos and all that the equipment,
- 15:17Speaker 1: the cameras, all that shit and that was your baby.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Really it was, and it still it still is. It's
- 15:24Speaker 1: still out there, and I'm hoping that someday you will
- 15:27Speaker 1: come back so we can do those again. I'm hoping.
- 15:29Speaker 1: There's hope, Maybe not much of it, but there's hope.
- 15:35Speaker 1: It does, it fucking does. I can't stand it. When
- 15:37Speaker 1: we have our own server, it won't matter. It's the
- 15:40Speaker 1: shorts on the on the the server.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Just take them off YouTube, just put them on our
- 15:44Speaker 2: server forever.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, but at the time we needed the upgrade, especially
- 15:49Speaker 1: going from well after well, when Jorge and Never Leave passed,
- 15:54Speaker 1: after we took him to the hospice and stuff, it's like,
- 15:57Speaker 1: all right, well, we were doing this every single week
- 15:59Speaker 1: in his apartment with them. Not only was it was
- 16:01Speaker 1: our time to hang out with them man and like
- 16:02Speaker 1: have fun and be goofy and shipped for a couple
- 16:04Speaker 1: of hours. That was our recording area too. So unfortunately,
- 16:09Speaker 1: when Jorge passed, we had to find a new venue
- 16:13Speaker 1: for one and temporarily bedroom my nine by nine foot bedroom,
- 16:19Speaker 1: no joke, I am not fucking exaggerating. It's a nine
- 16:24Speaker 1: by nine fucking room I sleep in. They had an
- 16:26Speaker 1: L shaped desk and a fucking twin XL bed in it.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Somehow the three of us still fit in there with
- 16:31Speaker 1: those in there. Yeah, Oh my gosh, but yeah, going
- 16:34Speaker 1: and then obviously we had to do that, and I'm again,
- 16:36Speaker 1: it worked for a little while, and I'm like, but
- 16:38Speaker 1: I'm like, we need something new.
- 16:40Speaker 2: And also you needed your bedroom bedroom.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, it would get so hot in there
- 16:45Speaker 1: because again no room and there's no ac or something
- 16:48Speaker 1: in the ac. We couldn't really edit out at the time,
- 16:50Speaker 1: like there was a lot of stuff. And then luckily
- 16:53Speaker 1: we came to the decision of fucking spend some money
- 16:56Speaker 1: on this, bitch.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I I think it was a brilliant move.
- 17:02Speaker 1: It was needed at the very least for the show.
- 17:04Speaker 1: There was one hundred percent needed to just to allow
- 17:08Speaker 1: us to do this, and a comfortable atmosphere for the
- 17:11Speaker 1: most part, and for me to have somewhere else to
- 17:13Speaker 1: go besides my nine foot nine room, so I have
- 17:15Speaker 1: somewhere else to like get out of my fucking little house.
- 17:19Speaker 1: But yeah, switching over here was cool. It was definitely
- 17:23Speaker 1: a change. And uh, the equipment upgrades throughout the years
- 17:26Speaker 1: have helped Dave Alvino again at beck at Horry's apartment
- 17:29Speaker 1: webs fifteen. He brought his own mics and a couple
- 17:34Speaker 1: of things, and the quality adjustment from episode one through
- 17:39Speaker 1: fourteen to fifteen alone was like.
- 17:42Speaker 2: A massive jump.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Amateur podcast semi professional podcast, like right the fuck there,
- 17:47Speaker 1: And all really was was he just brought a couple
- 17:49Speaker 1: of mics and we hooked him up to the laptop
- 17:51Speaker 1: still like it was crazy. His skills set.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Can bring a mixer board too.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I think I maybe he did bring the board. I
- 17:57Speaker 1: remember he might have.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I think. So I don't remember around us, like yeah,
- 18:01Speaker 2: so long.
- 18:01Speaker 1: It's like five years ago, who knows. And then yeah,
- 18:06Speaker 1: and then luckily or not luckily, my other podcast ended
- 18:09Speaker 1: to be a show which was fine, that lasted fucking
- 18:12Speaker 1: long as shit, right, and they were done with their equipment.
- 18:14Speaker 1: So we'll take some of that.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Stuff if you're not using it anymore, I know some people.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Yeah, so we got lucky, we got we got lucky
- 18:24Speaker 1: with a lot of the stuff we got. I'll give
- 18:26Speaker 1: it with that just because the people we know had
- 18:28Speaker 1: hit me down because that saved a lot.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Yeah, But I mean that's one of the things that
- 18:32Speaker 2: I wanted to talk about. But I'm gonna save it
- 18:34Speaker 2: because worried about the good point to your first break. Yeah,
- 18:37Speaker 2: so when we come back, we're going to talk about
- 18:40Speaker 2: the the people and things we met and learned about
- 18:45Speaker 2: along the way.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Oh my god, Yes, we'll come back right after this.
- 18:56Speaker 1: We interrupt this program to bring you a newsplash Michael
- 19:00Speaker 1: Jackson's ghost scene at a Yankees game. Cinnamon toast crunch
- 19:05Speaker 1: now with a shrimp in every bite. Lil Uziird's head
- 19:09Speaker 1: diamond has been sold on the dark web. Stories like

- 19:45Speaker 2: Hey man, welcome back. It's time for part two of
- 19:49Speaker 2: our fifth anniversary bfytw retrospective.
- 19:53Speaker 1: We didn't say celebration, Nope, we're just looking back and
- 19:58Speaker 1: enjoying all the things that go us here to five
- 20:01Speaker 1: years of b fytws.
- 20:03Speaker 2: So many and we made. We met a lot of
- 20:07Speaker 2: cool people and did a lot of crazy cool things
- 20:11Speaker 2: along the way, Like it's insane to think about that
- 20:15Speaker 2: episode seven fucking seven seven we got voice actor David
- 20:21Speaker 2: Hater to be on the show.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Got You're right, I forgot that episode fucking seven.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Literally, like I was like, after that happened, I was like,
- 20:32Speaker 2: this podcast is going to take the funk off, because
- 20:35Speaker 2: if we got David Hater to be on episodes, like right,
- 20:39Speaker 2: there's there's like the sky's the limits. We have Taylor
- 20:43Speaker 2: Swift beyond every fucking superstar, Tom Hanks will come to
- 20:48Speaker 2: an episode like it'll just be samee.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Oh my god. Yeah.
- 20:54Speaker 2: And the fact matter is we haven't had anyone anywhere
- 20:58Speaker 2: near his famous since.
- 21:02Speaker 1: No, probably not.
- 21:04Speaker 2: We talked about for a long time, maybe getting Ralph
- 21:07Speaker 2: Garman on for an episode, or getting Kevin Smith on
- 21:09Speaker 2: for an episode. That'd be a dream at some point. Yeah,
- 21:14Speaker 2: I just got to make it happen. But I mean,
- 21:18Speaker 2: if anything, the David Hater thing is a lesson of
- 21:21Speaker 2: just ask.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Try just ask.
- 21:24Speaker 2: The worst they can do is say no, ask like honestly,
- 21:29Speaker 2: like I literally was like, Hey, David Hater, I see
- 21:31Speaker 2: your coming to Retro Game Con that's in my backyard.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Would you be down for doing like a five minute
- 21:37Speaker 2: bit for my podcast? And He's like, yeah, absolutely, just
- 21:41Speaker 2: bring it on down and you know, we'll take a
- 21:43Speaker 2: little bit of time out.
- 21:44Speaker 1: And do it.
- 21:45Speaker 2: And I was like, all right, he's gonna be the
- 21:47Speaker 2: speed run portion of her show and it's gonna be
- 21:50Speaker 2: all about the characters he played and things that he wrote.
- 21:52Speaker 2: And I was like, fuck, yeah, that was so much fun.
- 21:56Speaker 2: I was fucking nervous, but dude was an absolutely gent
- 22:00Speaker 2: and the absolute champ. I have nothing but love for
- 22:03Speaker 2: David Hayter even to this day. He's still the only
- 22:07Speaker 2: voice of Snake as far as I'm concerned. Kefer someone
- 22:10Speaker 2: can suck it unless he wants to be on. Unless
- 22:15Speaker 2: Key for Someone wants to be on the podcast, in
- 22:17Speaker 2: which case his portrayal of Snake was epic.
- 22:19Speaker 1: But that's to be determined.
- 22:23Speaker 2: If Keith comes on the show, then I will admit
- 22:27Speaker 2: that his portrayal was absolutely phenomenal.
- 22:30Speaker 1: He was the twenty four guy, right, Yes, okay, cool?
- 22:32Speaker 1: I like that show. It was a good show. Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 2: He was in a bunch of movies before then. Yeah,
- 22:37Speaker 2: and then he did twenty four, which really made him
- 22:39Speaker 2: like a massive icon. He's done a couple of things
- 22:42Speaker 2: since then, but nothing is popular. So very clearly. He
- 22:46Speaker 2: shouldn't have taken the roll of snake away from a
- 22:48Speaker 2: beloved icon.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Maybe he should be on our show, you know how
- 22:50Speaker 1: to fix all this stuff?
- 22:51Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, come on, come on, Keith, but
- 22:54Speaker 2: you got to lose.
- 22:55Speaker 1: It'll be fun the game, you're the game.
- 22:59Speaker 2: He's gonna kill our eyes.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Guess what in twenty four hours, you're all gonna get
- 23:05Speaker 1: your ask countdown. Dunk dunk.
- 23:14Speaker 2: So that was an incredible episode. We did that episode
- 23:17Speaker 2: with the Defiant Monkey, Yes we did, Yeah, the Improv
- 23:20Speaker 2: Define Monkey.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Yes, Oh my god, they are.
- 23:23Speaker 2: They've done so many episodes of our our silly little podcast,
- 23:27Speaker 2: and they're they're all memorable.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Oh they're so good. And then I love when we'd
- 23:32Speaker 1: bring or will you set up the improv games with
- 23:35Speaker 1: them because they are improv professional what they.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Do legends and royalty of improv. They're so damn good
- 23:43Speaker 2: at what they do that whenever I have them on,
- 23:47Speaker 2: I try to include some kind of improv game because
- 23:51Speaker 2: because it's worth it, they're just going to destroy it
- 23:54Speaker 2: and they always do. They They've never let us down.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I think the most recent one I can think of
- 23:59Speaker 2: was The Men that we did in preparation for episode
- 24:04Speaker 2: two hundred. Yeah, we did, because we had them on
- 24:06Speaker 2: for episode two hundred, but to fill in the time
- 24:10Speaker 2: between episode two hundred and like we were one ninety seven, Yeah,
- 24:15Speaker 2: we did a mini app with them which was basically
- 24:17Speaker 2: like two games, and one of the games was an
- 24:19Speaker 2: improv game, and that was the who What? And were Wolf?
- 24:22Speaker 1: Oh my god, I couldn't be.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Wolf, and Stevie just broke, just completely completely broke and
- 24:30Speaker 2: could not could not utter a word.
- 24:33Speaker 1: It's blue streamed, man, I know.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Joe error Andy the professionally was just carried the scene
- 24:43Speaker 2: and Augie just went with him and it was magic.
- 24:47Speaker 2: It was absolute magic. I will never forget that. They've
- 24:51Speaker 2: also done a bunch of episodes n F y tw Yes,
- 24:55Speaker 2: which is quote unquote like our sister show, sort of,
- 24:58Speaker 2: we have a it's basically, you know, n F Y
- 25:03Speaker 2: t W if you haven't heard, is basically a homage
- 25:07Speaker 2: of actually yes. But it is also kind of a
- 25:11Speaker 2: reversal of our show in that, you know, usually our
- 25:17Speaker 2: guests and Stevie and AUGI are saying things and I'm
- 25:19Speaker 2: constantly telling them no, you're wrong, No, no, you're wrong.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Now it's their turn. To do the same to me.
- 25:24Speaker 2: So I have a stack of statements, each of which
- 25:27Speaker 2: is false in some way, and they just have to
- 25:29Speaker 2: guess which one is false. We've had a lot of
- 25:31Speaker 2: fun playing that game, not only with Defiant Monkey and
- 25:36Speaker 2: Sam and Sarah, Yes, but we've also played it in Newsey,
- 25:42Speaker 2: not New Jersey, of.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Philadelphia, Philly. We did play in Philly.
- 25:45Speaker 2: With two thirds the Ultra Hope girls and Sarah, and
- 25:50Speaker 2: that was a lot of fun.
- 25:51Speaker 1: That was a riot.
- 25:52Speaker 2: That was that was ridiculous fun, despite the fact that
- 25:57Speaker 2: we were trying to we're trying to wrangle. We basically
- 26:01Speaker 2: fully set up our podcast recording setup and I forgot
- 26:04Speaker 2: stuff in their living room and at one point the
- 26:08Speaker 2: buzzers on the controllers stopped working. I'm like, oh my god,
- 26:11Speaker 2: the first technical issues that episode was a nightmare. But
- 26:15Speaker 2: in terms of content, oh my.
- 26:16Speaker 1: God, brilliant, brilliant episode.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Absolutely loved it.
- 26:19Speaker 1: It was so much fun and the ladies were awesome.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Like Holy, speaking of so much fun, I can't help
- 26:26Speaker 2: but bring up episode sixty four, which was our very
- 26:30Speaker 2: first task Master episode all the first one, very first
- 26:35Speaker 2: on it where Jorge was the task Master.
- 26:37Speaker 1: That was a brilliant. I love all of it.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I will that was an epic episode from start to finish,
- 26:43Speaker 2: but I will never forget as long as I live.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Asking you to come up with a single adverb. Everybody
- 26:51Speaker 2: else had to do like four nouns, three verbs, two adjectives.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Stevie just had to come up with one adverb. That
- 26:57Speaker 2: was his only job it and I swear to God,
- 27:00Speaker 2: if you listen carefully in the background of that task,
- 27:05Speaker 2: you can hear me losing my mind and how funny
- 27:11Speaker 2: this fucking is because I'm losing my shit like Stevie's.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Stevie's coming up with adverbs and then second guessing himself.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I'm not gonna think Stevie's.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Googling adverbs and then second guessing Google.
- 27:28Speaker 1: This isn't right, Google's wrong. Let me search up something else.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Legitimately one of the funniest things anyone has ever put
- 27:37Speaker 2: the tape. I swear to God, I.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Need to cut that out and make that a TikTok
- 27:42Speaker 1: is what I need to do.
- 27:44Speaker 2: When I listen to that part of that episode, I
- 27:48Speaker 2: am crying with laughter every single time, because I'm not alone.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Everybody else who saw that the first time.
- 27:55Speaker 1: We did it lived tears.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Reapa, who's laughing so hard. Oh my god, it was
- 28:06Speaker 2: so good, so good.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Look I'd love. Task Master was probably one of my
- 28:12Speaker 1: favorite episodes ever to do. Hell yeah, it really was,
- 28:14Speaker 1: because that was incredible. There's so much to it. There's
- 28:18Speaker 1: a lot of I mean, for one, there's so much preparation.
- 28:21Speaker 1: There's more preparation there is actual game show for one,
- 28:23Speaker 1: there's one hundred percent and opposed to any other game,
- 28:26Speaker 1: I think that one probably has the most preparation ahead
- 28:29Speaker 1: of time.
- 28:29Speaker 2: It requires the most effort of anything that we've done,
- 28:32Speaker 2: Like even even the things like you know, jerk fast
- 28:35Speaker 2: and stuff like that. I can usually get everything ready
- 28:38Speaker 2: in about a week. Task Master takes about a month
- 28:42Speaker 2: in advance to do all that stuff because I have
- 28:44Speaker 2: to record everybody's tasks individually without them knowing too, so
- 28:49Speaker 2: nobody else knows what anybody else has done, so that
- 28:53Speaker 2: it's a surprise to them when they see their friends
- 28:57Speaker 2: and you know, their competitors doing absurd or sometimes brilliant shit.
- 29:04Speaker 2: And redoing task Master for the second time for a
- 29:08Speaker 2: god one hundredth episode.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Yes, we did it live, and we did it live
- 29:13Speaker 1: an audience, which was awesome.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Scary, scary, but damn if it didn't keep the energy
- 29:22Speaker 2: in the room, like and we got laughs like when
- 29:25Speaker 2: you have. We didn't have a huge audience. We had
- 29:28Speaker 2: maybe twenty people.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Twenty five at the most. And I'm saying people who
- 29:31Speaker 1: might have stopped in while we were doing.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but they were last.
- 29:35Speaker 1: They were good like hearing that like.
- 29:37Speaker 2: That was that was huge. And and that show, well,
- 29:43Speaker 2: it didn't have as many as iconic a moment as
- 29:46Speaker 2: TV adverb still was a lot of fun, absolute joy.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Showing people the video for the first time Sarah's Babraham Lincoln.
- 30:00Speaker 1: That was amazing. Oh my god, I gotta go back
- 30:03Speaker 1: and watch these again. I just remember if Ogy was here,
- 30:08Speaker 1: he would you would restress the same stress pretty much
- 30:12Speaker 1: that I had that day. So the live show, we
- 30:16Speaker 1: performed that at casual Dragon yea, and they.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Were cool off their basement. They were awesome about it, amazing.
- 30:24Speaker 2: He gave us the room for free, which would charge
- 30:26Speaker 2: us anything, which was mass.
- 30:28Speaker 1: That blew my mind, like they're gonna let us do
- 30:30Speaker 1: this for free, because I was like, all right, it's
- 30:31Speaker 1: gonna be we have to rent it. It's just fine.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I'm okay.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Yeah, we were looking for a cheap place that we
- 30:36Speaker 2: could rent, maybe one hundred bucks. We just get it,
- 30:39Speaker 2: do a quick two hour show and then pack up
- 30:42Speaker 2: and we're gone. But a lot of the places wanted
- 30:45Speaker 2: like they want a few hundred bucks. Five hundred dollars
- 30:48Speaker 2: I think was the highest because I went I was
- 30:50Speaker 2: gonna take the town building.
- 30:51Speaker 1: I was like, oh, I rent the building from the town.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Just a couple of hours, Like damn.
- 30:55Speaker 1: That's not happening. But it was nice, like they were
- 30:58Speaker 1: awesome about everything to give everything we needed and like
- 31:01Speaker 1: we got there I think two and a half almost
- 31:04Speaker 1: three hours prior to showtime, yep, because I I'm I
- 31:08Speaker 1: set up all the electronics and shit. So I'm like
- 31:10Speaker 1: and I I am very adamant about my shit has
- 31:12Speaker 1: to be in order, like everything has to be perfect, or.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Thank god we did, because we were still hammer issues at
- 31:20Speaker 2: the very last minute.
- 31:21Speaker 1: But it was funny, like I think it was like
- 31:23Speaker 1: it was like an hour and ten minutes until showtime,
- 31:26Speaker 1: and I am freaking because I said it like two
- 31:28Speaker 1: more things to set up and all he's like, and
- 31:30Speaker 1: we're use, I'm smoking joints, Like I am. I am
- 31:33Speaker 1: chain smoking joints at this point, like, no joke, I
- 31:36Speaker 1: little joint him and I are smoking it. I grab
- 31:38Speaker 1: another one and like no, I'm like, I'm stressing the
- 31:41Speaker 1: fuck out. I don't have enough time to get all
- 31:42Speaker 1: the set up and I gotta do sound check. And
- 31:43Speaker 1: he's like, you have two more things to do and
- 31:45Speaker 1: sound check right, I'm like yeah, and I'm going to
- 31:47Speaker 1: have this much time. He's like, you got an hour
- 31:49Speaker 1: and twenty minutes, not twenty minutes.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Or some shit.
- 31:51Speaker 1: I'm like, so then I proceeded to sit down on
- 31:55Speaker 1: the curb and smoke my jo.
- 31:57Speaker 2: And I'm relaxed a little bit. Oh my god, Yeah,
- 32:00Speaker 2: actually had more time than Yeah.
- 32:01Speaker 1: I'll tell them. The military did one thing right. They
- 32:04Speaker 1: make you so anxious about being prompt and on time
- 32:08Speaker 1: about ship that it it fucks with you hard. It
- 32:10Speaker 1: always has, like and everybody says that who was in,
- 32:13Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, it gives you such anxiety, like you
- 32:15Speaker 1: are so you can eat your ass beat if you're
- 32:17Speaker 1: like like, holy crap, But it like I loved it,
- 32:21Speaker 1: Like that was the only stressor. And even then, like
- 32:23Speaker 1: when all you pointed out there's no stress because you
- 32:25Speaker 1: got time, it's like, oh, relaxed, yeah, and he and
- 32:29Speaker 1: even he said the most stress he had was trying
- 32:31Speaker 1: to be up in front of the people, and I'm like, yeah,
- 32:33Speaker 1: but once he got up there and things were going
- 32:35Speaker 1: and people were laughing, He's like, I loved it, Like
- 32:37Speaker 1: he liked it. It's just that initial Yeah, Okay, let's
- 32:40Speaker 1: get that first laugh out there. If we get that
- 32:42Speaker 1: first laugh out there, we're golden. And you got it
- 32:44Speaker 1: so early, got cool casual dragon. Yeah. But yeah, that
- 32:51Speaker 1: was the life task Master. That was amazing. We haven't
- 32:53Speaker 1: we haven't done a task Master since then.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Nois three.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, So big plans people, because.
- 33:01Speaker 2: I want to do My goal is to do a
- 33:05Speaker 2: multi episode all thing. So basically, episode two ninety eight
- 33:12Speaker 2: would be task Master Part one, Episode two ninety nine
- 33:16Speaker 2: would be Part two, and then three hundred would be
- 33:19Speaker 2: the finale. The player with the highest score over all
- 33:22Speaker 2: three parts would be the total winner. Awesome, So it
- 33:25Speaker 2: would be like a mini series, a mini season Taskmaster,
- 33:30Speaker 2: where it's not just the person who wins the show
- 33:32Speaker 2: and instantly wins, Like I wanted there to have that
- 33:36Speaker 2: same feeling of like an actual season of task Master,
- 33:40Speaker 2: where you're seeing the best person over the course of
- 33:43Speaker 2: the thing. It's not just like I had a good
- 33:45Speaker 2: day this day. Yeah, tasks lean towards one person they
- 33:49Speaker 2: automatically win, Like, it's just not necessarily fair. And also
- 33:53Speaker 2: it'd be more impressive to win that way. Sure, And
- 33:57Speaker 2: we want to also have like an actual trophy something
- 34:00Speaker 2: we've talked about, the Jorge International Trophy or whatever we
- 34:04Speaker 2: call it, they Memorial Trophy or I remember the name
- 34:08Speaker 2: we came up with, but it should definitely be named
- 34:10Speaker 2: after him because he was our first task master. He
- 34:14Speaker 2: was the actual task master of that first time.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Oh man.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we've gotten about halfway through some of the
- 34:21Speaker 2: special things in episodes we did. We still have a
- 34:23Speaker 2: bunch more to go. Yeah, we do, but let's take
- 34:26Speaker 2: another break and when we come back, we will finish
- 34:28Speaker 2: up our fifth anniversary retrospective. See in a moment.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Hey there, I'm Dave, the host of Beer in Front.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Sometimes the beer in front of you is the best
- 34:50Speaker 3: one yet. I'll talk about some old school beers that
- 34:54Speaker 3: maybe you've forgotten about, some new beers that have the
- 34:57Speaker 3: potential to be a classic. I'll also talk to various
- 35:01Speaker 3: people around the beer world and get their stories all
- 35:06Speaker 3: about beer that's beer in front and it's available on
- 35:10Speaker 3: all of your favorite podcast apps.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Uh, you got me. It was genius. It was literal genius.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Those aren't Patreon memories. Because Aggie's not here, Steve is
- 35:42Speaker 2: now doing the countdown. Whereas Augie used to go five
- 35:45Speaker 2: for three and then silence, Stevie this time chose to
- 35:49Speaker 2: just go three because I knew exactly what he meant.
- 35:57Speaker 2: But the fact of the matter was he just literally
- 35:59Speaker 2: just said the one number of the pure silence just
- 36:02Speaker 2: sent me into like I started laughing immediately, but the
- 36:06Speaker 2: music's playing, so I can't laugh aloud. So I'm just
- 36:08Speaker 2: kind of like it, Like, yes, five years of.
- 36:19Speaker 1: This and he still comes back every week? Why you massochists?
- 36:28Speaker 2: Holy fuck, I can't even I'm I'm gonna leave some
- 36:32Speaker 2: out guaranteed.
- 36:33Speaker 1: We all, I mean, because there has been so much,
- 36:35Speaker 1: I know, five years doesn't seem I mean, okay, it
- 36:39Speaker 1: seems like a lot, and it doesn't at the same time, right,
- 36:41Speaker 1: because most people, when you do five years, it's like,
- 36:43Speaker 1: well it's five years with breaks here between this, particification, this, this, this.
- 36:47Speaker 1: We did five years consistently. We haven't had a single
- 36:51Speaker 1: week in those five years without an episode of Be
- 36:53Speaker 1: a Flight tw come out, so it's been constant, so
- 36:56Speaker 1: there's always gonna be shipped. I mean definitely ones I
- 36:59Speaker 1: can't remember, but let alone things are gonna miss. Yeah, Like,
- 37:03Speaker 1: I know, we talked about the task Masters, obviously, do
- 37:06Speaker 1: you want to move on to the List?
- 37:08Speaker 2: I do. And the fact I'm glad you brought that
- 37:10Speaker 2: up because the very next thing I was gonna say was,
- 37:12Speaker 2: we've already talked about the Ultra Hope girls. Let's talk
- 37:15Speaker 2: about their episode list because the very first game right that, No,
- 37:22Speaker 2: we played.
- 37:22Speaker 1: The list before we did we did it once.
- 37:25Speaker 2: We played it with Jorge at least twice. The first
- 37:28Speaker 2: time there was a winner we did it with. We
- 37:32Speaker 2: did one episode with I Believe Defiant Monkey. And this
- 37:37Speaker 2: was back in show number fifty nine. Oh wow, the
- 37:39Speaker 2: first episode of the List and Defiant Monkey, and you
- 37:43Speaker 2: guys won, like I think, fifty dollars for charity. Cool, cool,
- 37:47Speaker 2: pretty much about the amount I was expecting. Second time
- 37:49Speaker 2: he played was Revenge of the List, which was episode
- 37:52Speaker 2: sixty three. Now this was an unusual one because usually
- 37:55Speaker 2: the List is played with the team of five players. However,
- 37:58Speaker 2: this time there was just you, Jorge, and Augie. Oh yeah,
- 38:02Speaker 2: So instead what I did was I gave your team
- 38:05Speaker 2: two extra lives that could be used or spent or
- 38:10Speaker 2: gotten back to use for the final for the final list.
- 38:14Speaker 2: But sadly, you guys banked about twenty five bucks, and
- 38:18Speaker 2: the final list was about Clue Master Edition, which none
- 38:21Speaker 2: of you guys really knew all that well.
- 38:23Speaker 1: We barely knew regular Clue, let alone Master Edition Clue.
- 38:27Speaker 2: They sadly lost that episode. So our third episode of
- 38:30Speaker 2: the list was episode eighty one, or it should have
- 38:34Speaker 2: been I think it should have been like seventy nine, right,
- 38:38Speaker 2: but we recorded with the Ultra Hope Girls, and we've
- 38:43Speaker 2: told this story before. It was an absolutely intense episode.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Like in terms of gameplay, it was perfect. They had
- 38:52Speaker 2: banked over one hundred dollars, which was the highest amount
- 38:55Speaker 2: we'd banked to that point. And the final list, everybody
- 39:00Speaker 2: was present. There was all five players. They got it
- 39:04Speaker 2: down to just one entry left. But Stevie, I think
- 39:08Speaker 2: was the last person out. He got it wrong, which
- 39:12Speaker 2: left just Maddie to get it right. And it was.
- 39:17Speaker 2: The list was elements in the periodic table that have
- 39:22Speaker 2: the same two letter code as state zip codes. State abbreviation,
- 39:30Speaker 2: and the last one left was neodymium, and she said
- 39:33Speaker 2: North Dakota, so hoping it was n D for neodymium.
- 39:39Speaker 2: And she was right, and if she'd gotten it wrong,
- 39:42Speaker 2: that would have been it. Nobody would have gotten anything.
- 39:44Speaker 2: That was literally their last chance, and she got it
- 39:47Speaker 2: right and the room exploded. We lost our shit, like
- 39:54Speaker 2: it was so exciting, and then we finished the show.
- 39:58Speaker 2: We said thank you to the Ultra.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Hoper They did an amazing job. I appreciate all they did.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I said, yeah, I look forward to listening to
- 40:05Speaker 2: that and I'm gonna go home. And I got home
- 40:08Speaker 2: and Stevie called me, which is something he rarely does. Yeah,
- 40:11Speaker 2: he called me. He's like, mant, we lost that whole episode,
- 40:16Speaker 2: Like you can hear us. You can't hear any of
- 40:19Speaker 2: the Ultra Hope girls at all.
- 40:21Speaker 1: If anything there was like a muffled thing, but what
- 40:24Speaker 1: didn't sound like voices. It was so bad.
- 40:26Speaker 2: That was so honest to god, heartbreaking.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Like I was like, oh my god, I don't even know.
- 40:33Speaker 1: I'm I do the editing obviously, so I'm there. I
- 40:36Speaker 1: transfer all the files over. It's on my computer and
- 40:38Speaker 1: I'm just like that's word. These wavelengths look strange whatever.
- 40:41Speaker 1: I'll raise it when I get in there, and I'm
- 40:43Speaker 1: like oh no, oh no, and the whole time like
- 40:46Speaker 1: I must have grabbed the wrong file. I'm thinking I
- 40:48Speaker 1: must have grabbed the wrong file. I must have I'm like,
- 40:50Speaker 1: this is the only file. What the fuck? And I'm like, shit,
- 40:52Speaker 1: I gotta caller.
- 40:54Speaker 2: So I immediately got on the horn with the Ultra
- 40:57Speaker 2: Hope Girls and I apologized. We made the decision that
- 41:01Speaker 2: even though we didn't have an episode to air, we
- 41:04Speaker 2: were going to honor their win and still still pay
- 41:09Speaker 2: the charity what they want. They played for Child's Play.
- 41:12Speaker 1: That's what it was, Child's Play charity. Yea yeap.
- 41:15Speaker 2: So we went ahead and we made the donation and
- 41:18Speaker 2: we were like, we're very sad about this and we
- 41:21Speaker 2: want to do it again. So as soon as the
- 41:24Speaker 2: three of you are available to do this again, let
- 41:26Speaker 2: us know. And they're like, well, if you give us
- 41:28Speaker 2: a couple of weeks, come right back. So episode eighty
- 41:32Speaker 2: one is the actual episode of the list that the
- 41:36Speaker 2: older Hope Girls are on that you can actually listen to.
- 41:40Speaker 2: And to make things even more insane, this game went
- 41:45Speaker 2: even further yes, like they wound up. I think the
- 41:50Speaker 2: final tally for that episode alone was two hundred and
- 41:55Speaker 2: seventy five dollars, So what that's were half the maximum possible.
- 42:02Speaker 2: The maximum possible is five hundred. Like we we didn't
- 42:05Speaker 2: want to do any more than that. They got two
- 42:09Speaker 2: hundred and seventy five, which is two complete lists and
- 42:13Speaker 2: a third almost complete list.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Yeah, like it was.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Was that the one you had the Air Force ranks,
- 42:20Speaker 2: you would have gotten all of it, but Maren jumped
- 42:24Speaker 2: in and denied one of your correct answers unfortunately.
- 42:27Speaker 1: But that didn't matter.
- 42:29Speaker 2: That didn't matter. Guys had two hundred and seventy five dollars.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Good Now that cheering. When we heard that the winning
- 42:36Speaker 1: of that one was louder than the previous episode.
- 42:39Speaker 2: I wish, I wish it had been as exciting though
- 42:42Speaker 2: it did not come down to the wire. There were
- 42:44Speaker 2: three people still in when when Maddie gave the final
- 42:46Speaker 2: answer yet again, because she's a queen, she's so fucking smart,
- 42:55Speaker 2: and so they won. Two hundred and seventy five dollars
- 42:58Speaker 2: combined with one hundred and six dollars from previous episode,
- 43:01Speaker 2: was the biggest payout we've ever had on our show,
- 43:06Speaker 2: three hundred and eighty one dollars. Now I don't know
- 43:09Speaker 2: if that's technically true anymore because we did episode two hundred,
- 43:14Speaker 2: which wasn't a higher payout on our part, but I
- 43:19Speaker 2: think in terms of total payout because what happened was
- 43:24Speaker 2: episode two hundred If you Haven't Listened, was another charity
- 43:27Speaker 2: game show, but this time we did three game shows
- 43:29Speaker 2: in one. We did The Tokers Wild, which we gotta
- 43:32Speaker 2: do it, we got, we gotta do again. That was
- 43:35Speaker 2: so I was thinking we should do that again with
- 43:36Speaker 2: the gate Leapers because they have not.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Done totally and that would be a riot with them.
- 43:42Speaker 2: And then we did our first ever well that was
- 43:47Speaker 2: our first ever episode of The Tokers Wild. It was
- 43:49Speaker 2: our second episode of Take Your Chances because we did
- 43:53Speaker 2: our our Pressure Luck homage previously live.
- 43:58Speaker 1: At at and Lockbow. Yeah yeah, yeah at the hotel.
- 44:03Speaker 1: That was fun. Those in our live audience we yeah,
- 44:06Speaker 1: I forgot about that.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Yeah, So it was our second live audience show. And
- 44:11Speaker 2: finally we wrapped it up with our uh, the Return
- 44:14Speaker 2: of the List, which we hadn't done in over one
- 44:16Speaker 2: hundred episodes. Like we did one episode of the List
- 44:19Speaker 2: with with Lauren from Beard al oh yeah, John yep,
- 44:25Speaker 2: and they played a hell of a game too, along
- 44:28Speaker 2: with Aaron from from.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Oh By and Or on the Lunai. Yes, the Golden Girls.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Have you listen to it?
- 44:35Speaker 2: I have not listened to the second yet. I listened
- 44:38Speaker 2: to the first step The second.
- 44:39Speaker 1: One game show is awesome. I'm not gonna say everybody.
- 44:42Speaker 1: If you like The Golden Girls and Love for women
- 44:44Speaker 1: who are freaking hilarious, check out on the Luni. It's
- 44:47Speaker 1: only two episodes out now, but I think they banked five.
- 44:49Speaker 1: It's awesome jumping.
- 44:52Speaker 2: That's okay. So the Ultra Hope list is still available
- 44:55Speaker 2: episode eighty one. It's incredible going here to listen. But
- 44:59Speaker 2: we also ca talk. We just brought up Aaron, so
- 45:01Speaker 2: we can't. We can't not talk about.
- 45:03Speaker 1: The trip to New Jersey, right, I know, man, I'm
- 45:06Speaker 1: a freak.
- 45:07Speaker 2: We met so many other podcasters. We met c J
- 45:10Speaker 2: for the first time in.
- 45:11Speaker 1: The flash djsthis uh.
- 45:15Speaker 2: We met his then partner Rico. We met uh, what's
- 45:20Speaker 2: his name? The dude he did YouTube sending.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Something Man something Man thing is yesterday. I was watching
- 45:32Speaker 1: his videos, damn it videos.
- 45:36Speaker 2: We met Bridget from Long Island. We met Aaron, We
- 45:42Speaker 2: met so many cool people.
- 45:43Speaker 1: My my Air Force buddy came out to I haven't
- 45:45Speaker 1: seen him like ten years. Broom just like drove cross
- 45:49Speaker 1: country to hang out, like I'll drive out there whatever.
- 45:53Speaker 2: And we did like on the spot more or less
- 45:57Speaker 2: like we did a massive like thirteen person show, like
- 46:04Speaker 2: ten contestants, me and Stevie, so twelve people, but still
- 46:08Speaker 2: like it was. It was a massive undertaking, but we
- 46:11Speaker 2: figured out how to do it in a way that
- 46:13Speaker 2: wouldn't the people waiting. We did it, but we did
- 46:17Speaker 2: it really smart. We were like, we need to have
- 46:19Speaker 2: one person ready and one person on deck so that
- 46:22Speaker 2: you know, whenever, whenever the next person's turn is, they
- 46:25Speaker 2: can just hop into the next seat and go like
- 46:27Speaker 2: it won't take long to switch between people. So we
- 46:31Speaker 2: just did it really smartly. And that episode was a
- 46:34Speaker 2: ton of fun too, because I got to write a
- 46:36Speaker 2: ton of trivia on everything. Whatever movie they came up
- 46:40Speaker 2: with it like Bride, Fantastic Choices.
- 46:44Speaker 1: It was crazy, and that was that was a lot
- 46:46Speaker 1: of fun because again, yeah it was. It was the
- 46:49Speaker 1: first time a lot of us met each other face
- 46:51Speaker 1: to face. Mexicon MAXI was.
- 46:53Speaker 2: There and his agent. They were fantastic, and then we
- 46:58Speaker 2: went out to dinner together that day. There was so good.
- 47:01Speaker 1: It was so much fun with the big dinner or
- 47:03Speaker 1: the one the first night, the big one, the big one.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Yeah, first night was good company. Playing at Applebee's. We
- 47:10Speaker 2: all went to Apples Musical Accompaniment. Where the fun is this?
- 47:14Speaker 1: That was fun? That was fun. I don't care. That
- 47:17Speaker 1: was great. We took it was dueling pianos, right, something
- 47:23Speaker 1: like that. Yeah, you need to request music and ship. Yeah,
- 47:26Speaker 1: but yeah. Then we went out to after the show
- 47:29Speaker 1: the next night or whatever. We did the show. We
- 47:31Speaker 1: were into a couple of rooms at this hotel. One
- 47:33Speaker 1: room was just our showroom. And then we all went
- 47:36Speaker 1: to this really fancy place that I heard about from
- 47:39Speaker 1: I think it was Zantis. I think he's the one
- 47:41Speaker 1: who told us about the place or somebody. I looked
- 47:43Speaker 1: up fancy places and we went to dinner for four
- 47:46Speaker 1: hours we were at dinner.
- 47:49Speaker 2: We shut that place down. We we had so much fun, and.
- 47:52Speaker 1: We just never let champagne. We popped some champagne up
- 47:55Speaker 1: in that bit time.
- 47:59Speaker 2: That was probably my favorite trip.
- 48:01Speaker 1: It's a meet it's just to meet all those people
- 48:03Speaker 1: and again MEXI like our biggest fan from day one,
- 48:05Speaker 1: Beck in the Pantsley short seats before by thing, he
- 48:09Speaker 1: was one of our fans. Man from Texas. Dude's amazing,
- 48:11Speaker 1: and then his music becomes part of our show.
- 48:15Speaker 2: It becomes part of our show.
- 48:16Speaker 1: All the intros, like like, dude is amazing. He had
- 48:19Speaker 1: an album come out recently too. It's like the people
- 48:22Speaker 1: we get to connect with is just the best ever.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Like that's that's the real true taken of this is
- 48:26Speaker 1: all the people we get to actually connect to become
- 48:28Speaker 1: friends with and the experiences there hell.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Am man, I mean CJ alone, we've had a lot.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Of oh yeah, all the time he brought the Metallica whiskey.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it was cool. And he's his his scheme of
- 48:43Speaker 2: just never winning.
- 48:44Speaker 1: Oh that's poor Guy's so funny.
- 48:48Speaker 2: It's so funny that we kind of have to keep
- 48:50Speaker 2: it going now. But it feels unfaking. I can't believe
- 48:53Speaker 2: what a show.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I know he's been on so many times.
- 48:57Speaker 2: I know, I know.
- 49:00Speaker 1: It had to be over has to be I know
- 49:01Speaker 1: it's over five, yeah, like it has to be. God.
- 49:06Speaker 2: But speaking of winning, we also have to talk about
- 49:11Speaker 2: two British people who have made such a huge impact
- 49:14Speaker 2: on our show, Colin Meggs and.
- 49:17Speaker 1: Crunchy Yes, love you two fool so much.
- 49:21Speaker 2: I believe actually Colin Meggs was on our show first, yes,
- 49:25Speaker 2: or at least we did a created show of his
- 49:28Speaker 2: that he sent in for us to do. I think
- 49:31Speaker 2: there's a show called Magnificent. It's still in the a
- 49:38Speaker 2: Magnificent episode. Yep, it's way back in show ninety two.
- 49:43Speaker 2: I believe he just sent us the things. We didn't
- 49:45Speaker 2: actually have him on until I think like episode one
- 49:49Speaker 2: something around there that long. Yeah, Wow, we had our
- 49:54Speaker 2: first like fan episode. I'm hoping to pull it up here.
- 49:58Speaker 2: The fan show sew Clebration was episode one, and that
- 50:03Speaker 2: was the show we had Mexi and calling on, and that,
- 50:07Speaker 2: when I tell you, that was so much fun. Like
- 50:11Speaker 2: you know, uh, as a person on the internet, it's
- 50:14Speaker 2: always a little scary to meet your fans, right, but
- 50:17Speaker 2: I mean Mexi, I never so I'm always nervous about that.
- 50:23Speaker 2: But Mexi was so fucking cool, just so, it just
- 50:27Speaker 2: unstoppably cool and just ever so gracious and what an
- 50:31Speaker 2: awesome dude. Honestly, like the fact.
- 50:33Speaker 1: That he grabbed his entire your family to come out
- 50:36Speaker 1: to meet us for one, I know. Then he's costantly
- 50:38Speaker 1: giving us all this stuff for like the show and ideas,
- 50:42Speaker 1: and then he does all the music for us and
- 50:45Speaker 1: just being online chatting with his dude like he's such
- 50:49Speaker 1: a caring and loving person and yeah, it's insane. You
- 50:52Speaker 1: don't get that everywhere.
- 50:53Speaker 2: He's Yeah, he legitimately very lucky to have him as
- 50:58Speaker 2: a fan, true and a friend. And same goes for
- 51:02Speaker 2: Colin Meggs one thousand percent.
- 51:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I've known Colin for a bit prior to this,
- 51:08Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, prior to.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Be I had never met him or talked to him before.
- 51:13Speaker 2: And then he starts sending us stuff for the show,
- 51:16Speaker 2: and it's brilliant. It's brilliant, brilliant. He's so funny. Uh
- 51:21Speaker 2: and and we're like, fuck it, let's have him on.
- 51:24Speaker 2: And he's even funnier, Like it's just like, dude is genius.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Like Colin you are. You are absolutely delightful and hilarious
- 51:32Speaker 2: and we love you, uh and and Donna too because
- 51:36Speaker 2: great human beings. And it's been a delight working with you.
- 51:40Speaker 1: I'll tell you right now. My favorite thing about Colin
- 51:44Speaker 1: is every time he calls it, he calls us something.
- 51:48Speaker 1: It's like every time, and because I don't listen to
- 51:50Speaker 1: I don't. Let's pull back the curtain everybody. I listen
- 51:54Speaker 1: to voicemails. Before we do the show, I throw him
- 51:56Speaker 1: on the board and hope that I look at the
- 51:57Speaker 1: waves real quick to make sure that, okay, this should
- 51:59Speaker 1: be a right to the right vibe you, and then
- 52:00Speaker 1: we put them on and we do live reactions as
- 52:02Speaker 1: we're doing them, like we try not to, and every
- 52:05Speaker 1: time do he cracks me the fuck out. It's so
- 52:08Speaker 1: damn funny. But god, damn, hold on, let me see
- 52:12Speaker 1: if that thing's out here real fast as if it
- 52:13Speaker 1: is hello you. From the compilation that was only two.
- 52:22Speaker 1: There's only two, for it's a compilation of two. There
- 52:26Speaker 1: was like six more of them on there. I swear
- 52:28Speaker 1: to god, Okay, well that too complimation and that was
- 52:32Speaker 1: Telly bad Tom was the other one on there, so
- 52:34Speaker 1: thank you for calling then too. I thought it was more.
- 52:41Speaker 2: And of course, like I said, we have to talk
- 52:43Speaker 2: about Crunchy.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Yes, crunch she came on to do.
- 52:47Speaker 2: We did a pump quiz with him as our very
- 52:49Speaker 2: first episode with Crunchy, and that was just ridiculous. Aunt's
- 52:53Speaker 2: fun uh and just a joy. I do love pump quizzes.
- 52:57Speaker 2: I don't get to do them very often.
- 52:59Speaker 1: So well, you're usually the quiz master for our game.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty much. Getting to actually sit back and play
- 53:05Speaker 2: is very fun, right, And I enjoyed that very much.
- 53:08Speaker 2: And Crunchy makes that possible because he is a fellow
- 53:11Speaker 2: games master. Uh. And he's so good at it. And
- 53:15Speaker 2: you know, aside from his pump quizes, he he had
- 53:19Speaker 2: for my birthday, the Magnificent episode. I'm trying to find
- 53:23Speaker 2: it right now. It was my birthday episode. It was
- 53:26Speaker 2: the the Big Fat Quiz.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 53:29Speaker 2: Yeah, well it's Big Fat b fy tw was show
- 53:32Speaker 2: one sixty nine, uh, and we he did it like
- 53:36Speaker 2: an episode of Big Fat Quiz the year and we
- 53:41Speaker 2: had three teams. It was it was you and Augie yep,
- 53:44Speaker 2: it was Crunchy and it was sorry not Crunchy. It
- 53:48Speaker 2: was Mexican and Colin and it was me and c J.
- 53:52Speaker 1: I think Magnus Cocklander.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and that was that was absolutely hilarious, like everybody's
- 54:01Speaker 2: wrong answers were hysterical and and it was genuinely a
- 54:06Speaker 2: very fun quizz play so I'm always grateful when Crunchy
- 54:11Speaker 2: comes because I always know I can relax a little
- 54:13Speaker 2: bit because I know he'll do a great job of
- 54:16Speaker 2: just running the show. So you know, I mean, I'm
- 54:19Speaker 2: just saying now, if I get hit by a bus
- 54:21Speaker 2: tomorrow and you need somebody to replace me, I think
- 54:24Speaker 2: Crunchy is an excellent choice.
- 54:25Speaker 1: I mean, I'll write it down so.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Amazing, amazing, He'd be brilliant.
- 54:35Speaker 1: He's always impressed me when he comes out, because like
- 54:39Speaker 1: he came on for his birthday the last two times
- 54:41Speaker 1: to host the last Yeah, and then he he does
- 54:45Speaker 1: the research, He does all of it, and he gets
- 54:47Speaker 1: it all set up perfectly. He even does our outro
- 54:50Speaker 1: at the end of the show, like Crunchy did our outro. Man,
- 54:54Speaker 1: he even did like the Patreon ship.
- 54:57Speaker 2: It was great.
- 54:57Speaker 1: He had awesome Uh.
- 55:00Speaker 2: And I feel it only appropriate to bring up frequent
- 55:05Speaker 2: contributors to the show. Uh and just general joys to
- 55:08Speaker 2: be around, Russ and Lauren from the Infectious Groove YouTube
- 55:12Speaker 2: channel and the beard Al podcast. Oh my god. I well,
- 55:21Speaker 2: Lauren's love of game shows makes them pretty much my
- 55:24Speaker 2: first choice whenever I come up with the new game show.
- 55:28Speaker 2: So They've literally played everything we've done. They've done the list,
- 55:31Speaker 2: they've done pole Position, They've.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Done thank you forgetting about pole Position, do im.
- 55:36Speaker 2: It's unfortunate because pole Position is a perfect game show
- 55:41Speaker 2: for a podcast.
- 55:42Speaker 1: It really does. It does.
- 55:44Speaker 2: It does not require any visual elements at all. It's
- 55:46Speaker 2: easy to follow for the listener, like it's just it's
- 55:50Speaker 2: very simple multiple choice trivia for the most part, so
- 55:54Speaker 2: people can play along listening at home. Like, there's literally
- 55:57Speaker 2: nothing wrong about this for a podcast. So it's perfect.
- 56:00Speaker 2: But we haven't done it in a while, but they
- 56:02Speaker 2: were the first ones to play it. They did that.
- 56:05Speaker 2: They did Togerhs Wild when our first episode of Toger's Wild.
- 56:08Speaker 2: They also did a mini up with us, which was
- 56:10Speaker 2: absolutely hysterical. We did a music episode with them.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Oh that was fun.
- 56:14Speaker 2: That music episode was a lot of fun. Oh my god,
- 56:17Speaker 2: it was that The one where I had Arnold Schwarzenegger
- 56:20Speaker 2: Yah singing lyrics eighties songs.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Oh my god, yes, yes you did.
- 56:28Speaker 2: That was one of my favorite things I've ever.
- 56:30Speaker 1: We all did the Arnold voice towards.
- 56:35Speaker 2: That is one of my favorite things I've ever done.
- 56:38Speaker 2: And finally, I feel I would be remiss if I
- 56:41Speaker 2: did not. Of course, I've already kind of mentioned them.
- 56:43Speaker 2: The gate Leapers have added a lot to our show
- 56:46Speaker 2: since they came into our lives, not just from having
- 56:51Speaker 2: us on their shows multiple times and continuing to do so,
- 56:55Speaker 2: but also coming on to play all of the insane
- 56:58Speaker 2: shit that we've come up with. They've done an episod
- 57:00Speaker 2: to pole position themselves, which Matt one I think, yeah,
- 57:04Speaker 2: I think so sounds we did. We did an episode
- 57:08Speaker 2: of their show like we did an actual gate Leapers
- 57:11Speaker 2: episode on b F Y t W to try and
- 57:14Speaker 2: convince our listeners to go give them a listen and
- 57:17Speaker 2: see if you enjoy them too, because they're they do brilliant,
- 57:20Speaker 2: fun things like like the stuff we do, which is
- 57:24Speaker 2: why we call them our sister show. But we I mean,
- 57:28Speaker 2: we've had We've had loads of incredible guests, you know,
- 57:32Speaker 2: We've had Doz. We've had and Casey have done a
- 57:40Speaker 2: bunch of episodes.
- 57:43Speaker 1: We did the political episode Yeah, I can't.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Remember their name, Yeah, from the Little Muck podcast. They
- 57:52Speaker 2: were great, man.
- 57:55Speaker 1: We've We've had so many guys, We've done a lot.
- 57:57Speaker 2: We've done so many things and there's still a lot
- 58:01Speaker 2: I want to do.
- 58:03Speaker 1: There's still you look from where we started, like seriously,
- 58:06Speaker 1: one microphone.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Stupid sitting around a table, bullshitting yeah, playing silly fucking
- 58:13Speaker 2: trivia games and silly panel shows.
- 58:15Speaker 1: So trying to figure out what's Aaron's Box?
- 58:18Speaker 2: Oh my god, I got the box. I forgot about
- 58:21Speaker 2: what's in Erans Boss.
- 58:23Speaker 1: That was like, oh my go, like, there's so much.
- 58:25Speaker 1: There's so much we've done in those five years, I mean,
- 58:28Speaker 1: and luckily enough to get Patreon going to have a following.
- 58:31Speaker 1: There the fart, Like everybody on our Patriot.
- 58:33Speaker 2: Can't hand we can't not explain that the box.
- 58:36Speaker 1: No, I want them to go back and listen figure
- 58:38Speaker 1: it out for yourself.
- 58:40Speaker 2: We used to play a game called Aaron's Box.
- 58:44Speaker 1: We got we got chucked down by the FCC anymore
- 58:48Speaker 1: because it was all visual.
- 58:50Speaker 2: In the In the early episodes, I'd say from episode
- 58:52Speaker 2: like one to fifty or so, that would be our
- 58:55Speaker 2: standard tiebreaker. If the show ever ended in a tie,
- 59:00Speaker 2: they would have to play What's in Aaron's Box to
- 59:02Speaker 2: determine the winner. And it quickly devolved into insanity, yes,
- 59:07Speaker 2: to the point where we literally couldn't play it anymore. Now,
- 59:10Speaker 2: the game had been literally bruyed, we destroyed.
- 59:13Speaker 1: Like it's like, okay, well you just can't do it.
- 59:14Speaker 1: We could probably do it with all you wants or twice.
- 59:16Speaker 2: Yeah, we could probably get away with with new players
- 59:19Speaker 2: who have never played it before, probably get away with
- 59:21Speaker 2: a few times. But you and Jorge had just had
- 59:26Speaker 2: just destroyed, literally destroyed. Any semblance of gameplay was gone. Yeah,
- 59:31Speaker 2: you just evolved into the two of you driving each
- 59:33Speaker 2: other great Brett until I was like, well one of you,
- 59:36Speaker 2: please make a choice, pick a cont box please.
- 59:42Speaker 1: But yeah, I love that ship. But it's been great.
- 59:45Speaker 1: The last five years have been amazing. I don't want
- 59:47Speaker 1: to stop. I know I I not only find this
- 59:51Speaker 1: fun and relaxing and therapeutic and also an archive of
- 59:55Speaker 1: our lives.
- 59:56Speaker 2: It has. It has enriched my life at the same
- 59:59Speaker 2: time that.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: It's stressed it.
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: I don't get stressed from this. Oddly enough, like maybe
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: maybe if I'm if I'm rushing last minute to put
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: a show together, I might there might be a little
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: bit of stress. But for the most part, I'm enjoying
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: myself even putting together the stuff for the show, because
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: I'm like I can I'm already imagining in my head
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: the insane things that you and Augil would say. And
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: I'm never right.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: I'm never right, neither are we. But yeah, no, it's true,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: like even though, like like today, like I got to
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: get all this edited tonight, so the videos up tomorrow morning,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: like and even and I'm like, I enjoy editing it
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: because I can go back listen all this goofy ash
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: ship we just did and it's always been fun. And
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: I don't, I seriously don't want to ever stop this.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: I mean, aside from us doing this and bonding over
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: all these years, the people and the things that we've
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: experienced that we never would have if we didn't do this,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Like think of all, I'm not even like the Jersey trip,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: the live show as we've done, the people we've brought
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: in here to do this stuff, if people even connected
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: to online that we haven't brought in yet, and then
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: the plants for the future, man, like there's so much
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: left of b f Y that they could be happy,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: and it's I don't I won't see an ending anytime soon.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: No no, no, not anime soon.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Uh. And that just leaves the last person for me
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: to highlight, which is you.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: Me, sir, no highlight all those of anything.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: You are the heart and soul of this podcast, sir,
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: and I feel very much like a large part of
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: the reason why people coming back, why people keep coming back,
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: is because of you and what you bring not only
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: to the show, but to our community, because you genuinely
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: like you are. You are genuinely like the focal point
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: of a lot of people who are fans of our show.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Like I wouldn't know CJ. If it wasn't for you,
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: I wouldn't know Aaron, I wouldn't know Colin. You know,
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: a lot of these people are people you've brought on
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: board to say say, hey, come listen to our insanity.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: I'm a part of it. And if you like me,
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: you'll like this.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I mean, okay, I'll give you that I am insane
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: if they like in Santee. But no, I truly do
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: appreciate you.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: Work your ass off for this. You put together, Like
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: I said, this started the show. You put together our studio,
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: the shed, This was all you, like I know you do,
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: and I mean did a lot of work, yeah, to help,
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: for sure, But I know that a large part of
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: this came out of your pocket.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It did, and and you
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: know what, I would do it again and again and
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: again and again.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: And that's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. Oh yeah,
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: you are a driving force. Well, and I don't think
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: we could do this without you.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Well it goes, It goes without saying the same with you.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Without you, our games master are trivia man like, dude,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: we can't have b f Y without you here to
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: for one, wrangle us together. So we go in the
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: right direction, but to give us the content we need
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: so that we can keep going forward. Yeah, I love you, brother,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I love you.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: Hell yeah, all right, that's that's enough sucking each other.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Stick the camera off for the rest of that.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: That's only fans or many bits.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: I'm not saying if you search for us, you won't
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: find us. I'm just saying, if you do, give us
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: a like, that's.
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: Just show a little appreciation. Thank you for listening to
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: this and any other episode of b f Y t
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: w uh. We probably wouldn't have gone five years if
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: it weren't for our listeners who have cheered us on
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: every step of the way, or even gone so far
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: as to throw their money at us. Patreon dot com,

- 1:05:01Speaker 2: incredibly silly shit that we get to do on a

- 1:05:10Speaker 2: do it for another five, ten or even fifteen years.
