- 0:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh we can't do this without you.
- 0:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thank you so much for watching and listening.

- 0:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh we promise won't be disappointed over 515 episodes.
- 1:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh it's just amazing what uh what can happen uh with uh with some drive, some determination, uh, some confidence, overcoming hurdles all the time.
- 1:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um, so thank you for for that.
- 1:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We wouldn't be here uh if it wasn't for you.
- 1:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thank you.
- 1:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh today uh just got back from the gym working out.
- 1:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I think I'm into my second week of uh working out at the gym.
- 1:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so just getting used to being uh back there.
- 1:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh it's actually a different gym, actual physical facility than I've been at before because right.
- 1:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I moved a couple times, so that's why uh we're not at the same gym.
- 1:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Regardless, uh I like to reserve my comments after a good bit of time because right now I'm going to the gym, but maybe there'll be a time where uh I might not feel like it, I might not want to, just things are busy traveling, what have you, and I don't make it to the gym.
- 2:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh and so uh the the benefits, it's not just you know the muscles and you know binding them after all these years that they're still there.
- 2:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh it's uh it's an interesting process uh to uh to go go through.
- 2:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh but for self-care it's one of the best things that I can think of.
- 3:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it's not about how much weight we lift, doesn't matter about that.
- 3:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't I mean I look at the weight because I'm able to tell if I need to get, you know, if I'm having a hard time, I know that I need to go to a lower weight, or if I think, okay, I can go maybe five pounds or so up from where I'm at.
- 3:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But other than that, I don't really look at the weight that I'm lifting in the same way that I I had growing up when uh in my late teens and and and twenties, uh diehard, going to gym, you know, all the you know, the supplements before the workout, during, after uh the protein drinks, all that.
- 4:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh now I'm just doing it for my health.
- 4:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, I was doing it for my health back then, but I don't I don't have to lift a certain amount of weight to feel vindicated.
- 4:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because what I found out before, and it still rings true, is that there's always going to be somebody who's gonna lift more weight than you and I.
- 4:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's just the way it is.
- 4:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Unless you're like the you know, the world strong man, strong woman, um, you know, and they win those competitions, then it might not be too many, if any, at that current time that are able to lift more weight than them.
- 5:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But taking that aside, it doesn't it would just take more negative energy, it would give me more negative energy if I if I were to again be so keyed into I want to lift as much weight as I can and I'm the strongest person in the gym or whatever.
- 5:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Doesn't matter.
- 5:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It doesn't.
- 5:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, some people may feel like that's what they they want, and and that's that's okay.
- 5:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm just sharing my experience.
- 6:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm not sharing anybody else's, you know, unless they come on the show and then they share their experience.
- 6:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Other than that, I'm just sharing mine.
- 6:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So self-care is huge.
- 6:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Going to the gym is I would actually say it's more than 50%.
- 6:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's not like, oh well, half the battle.
- 6:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I I I've said it in the past, half the battle is going to the gym or you know, getting up and and doing something.
- 6:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I I would say that getting up going to the gym, just that process alone, is probably 60-70% of the workout process.
- 6:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because right, if if if you're not at the gym, you can't unless you have a gym at your house, which I don't.
- 6:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh I mean it's it's just way more than half.
- 7:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Way more than half.
- 7:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: As it just happened ten minutes ago, twenty minutes ago, since I arrived to film this episode.
- 7:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It felt like when I was working out, like it it just felt good.
- 7:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe it's because I don't I'm not as concerned about the weight, how much I lift.
- 8:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm there for the consistency, trying to be there for the consistency.
- 8:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And hopefully boost my longevity by at least a little bit.
- 8:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So the gym, great, great self-care.
- 8:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we spent what ten minutes or so on on that that topic alone.
- 8:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then when we look at um, you know, the last last couple days, besides the gym, it's been a lot of taking a lot of mental capacity, mental energy, because we're getting to a point where as an organization we're gonna be doing some things that have never been done before, and there's gonna be people that are gonna cheer, you know, for the good the good people, I guess, and then there's gonna be others who aren't, and I think it it's a good reminder that if we're okay with what we're doing, like I feel good going to the gym, like feel good the organization, feel good with what's to come.
- 9:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's a key factor.
- 9:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's one of the biggest key factors.
- 10:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because we're never gonna be able to please everybody.
- 10:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I talked about this at at length.
- 10:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Doesn't matter how popular, how much money, how many downloads of songs, how many, how much people have in the bank.
- 10:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's still gonna be people, for one reason or another, that don't like the person.
- 10:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so I think um I've been prepared for it.
- 10:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But now the scale that we're uh we're working at and working to is unlike anything I've ever seen.
- 10:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It it really is.
- 11:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'd love to share.
- 11:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm bad at keeping secrets.
- 11:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I like to share.
- 11:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I vetted this process out because I've been left, you know, on these analogies, left holding the bag of yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, let's do this, let's do this, let's do this.
- 11:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But we don't have resources and so I don't know how we're gonna do it.
- 12:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: First, for me being a believer, God's helping us at his pace.
- 12:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: family at all.
- 12:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I guess if I were to sum up in in the kind of one word of where we're going and where we're at and the pieces being put together as we speak is amazing.
- 12:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Nothing short of amazing of what what's the what's coming.
- 13:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: This isn't all me, this isn't again.
- 13:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have a tight knit circle.
- 13:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Which is what I would say for recommendations.
- 13:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Some people ask, well, now you talk about people stealing ideas and and put and implementing them with their own organization that they work with, and that organization has more people, more resources, more money, and so they're able to make some things happen at a way quicker pace that makes us go, oh well, do we even do this now?
- 14:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Doesn't even feel worth it because such and such is doing it.
- 14:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so that'd be another piece of advice I would share.
- 14:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Keep your keep your circle, keep your people in the know as tight knit as possible.
- 14:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: See when people do good things and they're rewarded in a many different ways everybody wants a piece of the action, everybody wants everybody wants to be a part of the organization because they see the success.
- 15:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, if you haven't been there for years, literally.
- 15:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I can't, you know, grandfather people in because what?
- 15:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because they're gonna want the action, they're gonna want the spoils or whatever whatever's to come.
- 15:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it's not me being mean, not me being vindictive at all.
- 15:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: When individuals take things whether knowingly and unknowingly, whether they meant it meant for it to be what it is or not.
- 16:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: The fact of the matter is, if it happens, that that's what matters.
- 16:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I've been burned so many times, our organization's been burned so many times, not physically burned, using analogy, meaning things that we've looked at doing, and the time we can implement them was already taken taken by another organization.
- 17:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So could be a guest, that's one of the ways, right?
- 17:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Oh my gosh, I didn't know we could even talk to this person.
- 17:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Justin did this, and he he got a hold of them, and I didn't know.
- 17:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I just go to their website and then I just send a message, and and the next thing you know, they got a their show that's coming out at the end of the day, and we don't we haven't planned to interview the person until maybe tomorrow.
- 17:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then so we look like we're late to the party, so that's why there's uh we don't announce a whole lot ahead of time for that reason.
- 18:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So you may be thinking, like, well, you don't really announce things like you used to.
- 18:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, you live and you learn.
- 18:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm a thousand percent into this because I'm living it, I'm living it every single day, whether I'm with voices for voices or not.
- 18:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm still living the mental illness, trauma, recovery, all those things.
- 18:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm I'm living that every single day.
- 18:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And some other individuals, and there's a lot of great individuals out there.
- 18:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And trying to make a difference in the world than a person that just has the book smart, which is good, you know.
- 19:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You need we need a lot of people.
- 19:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But when a person like that goes back to their organization, well, they do, it's like gossip.
- 19:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Did you hear how Voices for Voices have got this particular guest on their show?
- 19:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe we can reach out and put it out sooner.
- 19:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So that's why literally you just see when the episodes are out.
- 19:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You'll see them populate in all of the libraries that I call, you know, uh Spotify, Apple.com, like all these platforms or have a voices for voices, library within them.
- 20:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so that's what we do.
- 20:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Going back to it's hard for me to keep a secret, it really is.
- 20:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's very hard.
- 20:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But as I've been burned a lot, um we're just gonna film episodes and put them out when they're ready.
- 20:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, it'd be nice to some of they go, oh well, you know, this date and this time.
- 20:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, we've had this, we've had a studio, we had the TV studio ripped away from us.
- 21:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because we're doing, yeah, we're talking about real life topics with real life people.
- 21:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So at that time, and this isn't a knock on a studio, it's the studio would still be airing our episodes, and we'd still be filming to have a slot every week.
- 21:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: In addition to you know, these home or on location episodes.
- 21:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But I think that was a blessing in disguise.
- 21:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: At first it hurt a lot.
- 21:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Now we're just filming and filming and filming and filming episodes.
- 22:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So much so that we're we film and dropped five hundred and fifteen episodes.
- 22:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, you gotta wrap your head around this.
- 22:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're not a big corporation, we don't have a staff.
- 22:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You see the staff that handles the film, the uh you know, the booking of uh guests, if we have which all that in and of itself is hard enough to get on the same page, get everybody scheduled to match up, and then have everybody show up.
- 22:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Sometimes, for one reason or another, people just don't show up.
- 23:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's happened to me.
- 23:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I've done it for other things where I didn't intend that to happen.
- 23:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Sometimes life happens and just want a little bit of grace.
- 23:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So it was a blessing because they said we're we're able to we're able to just film at short notice, and we just talk about the topics of the day.
- 23:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We give advice, we give tips.
- 23:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Some may work for you, some may not, some may work for your friends and loved ones and classmates or fellow faculty members or fellow coaches, fellow artists, musicians, what have you.
- 24:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, you can always count on us to just break it down and bring the real life topics to our shows.
- 24:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so, yes, going back to popularity and all that, some people are gonna like us and love us, some people aren't.
- 24:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's just a fact of life.
- 24:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: For what's to come because as a lot of people before me have said that let's use a sports analogy, let's use baseball.
- 25:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like you don't you don't win games during the season, you win them in the preseason by working out, uh, by it by the practicing.
- 25:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, the games are played now, and so the games have to play themselves out, and hopefully there's no illegal interference with referees or officials or commissioners that step in and put their thumb, their thumb on the scale of this thing or that thing.
- 26:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But you win at the time you're practicing because that way you're setting yourself up for victory if you don't work out, if you don't practice pitching, catching, hitting, bunting, come time for the season, it's gonna be a little bit tougher.
- 26:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so that's all we're doing, and we have been doing for for many months, is preparing preparation because we know that the quality of the products that come and services and and such.
- 27:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Come now.
- 27:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Come at the gym, come at practicing.
- 27:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Can't tell you what, specifically, it takes a lot of practice, and so if I don't practice and others don't practice, then the final product or service is gonna look as if we hadn't practiced, and nothing irks fans, people, just humans in general.
- 28:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, people say, like, oh, we're just winging it.
- 28:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, there's sometimes you can just wing it, but the scale at what we're doing and gonna be doing takes a lot of practice, a lot of patience, and I don't have a whole lot of patience, as you know, so I've just had to kind of break things up into little bits and pieces, little chunks.
- 28:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like preparation might take two hours.
- 28:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I may look at it and go, okay, well, I want to do a half hour, do some other things, then maybe do another half hour, and then maybe the next day I you know pick that up and do that third half hour and fourth, etc.
- 29:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But if I didn't practice, if I didn't know it's gonna show, so that's like anything.
- 29:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Anything you do, practicing is not glamorous, it's not fun.
- 29:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't have these adoring fans or yeah, we don't.
- 29:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, some practices for certain things are open to the public, but as I've talked about before, there's certain things that people knowingly, unknowingly, whatever, they take the ideas and then they run with it and they tell, tell the world, tell their manager, tell their boss, tell let them know.
- 30:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like, did you hear voiceless voices doing what they're gonna be up to?
- 30:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I think we can do that.
- 30:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So that's why that circle it's gotta be knitted together.
- 30:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And if you have an intuitive if your gut is telling you, okay, this doesn't feel right, you gotta just stop.
- 30:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You you have to, you can't just keep going thinking that it that individual or individuals are gonna forget about it.
- 31:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: No, the more they're around and the more you talk about it, the more they're gonna know, and the more they're gonna potentially share.
- 31:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't want that.
- 31:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So that's why there's some secrecy around.
- 31:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's a lot of secrecy.
- 31:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I know a lot a lot of people are gonna have a whole lot of fun when we do we do we do start doing and we start those actions.
- 31:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm excited.
- 32:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I hope you are because I'm telling you, this is like nothing that's ever been done before.
- 32:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're bringing things together that have been separate, we're doing things that people would look at and go, that's silly.
- 32:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay, that's cool.
- 32:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, we'll just move aside because we have somebody else who wants to step into that place and they want to be a part of it.
- 32:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's gonna be a lot of people that want to be a part of it.
- 32:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: In fact, there's already a lot of people that want to be part of it.
- 32:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Somehow, sometimes things leak, and all I can say is buckle up and enjoy the ride.
- 33:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: On that ride, those cars come come by to get on the ride.
- 33:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You want to make sure you're there.
- 33:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So, thank you for joining us on this episode of the show.
- 33:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We got nothing but love and support coming from us to you.
- 33:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Remember, you don't have to be a believer to be a part of our voices for voices family.

- 33:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We'd love to have them as part of the Voices for Voices family.
- 34:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So take care or send them love your way.
- 34:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Enjoy your weekend.
- 34:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll talk to you and see you soon.
- 34:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Bye bye for now.
