- 0:14Speaker 2: Rose on our podcast today. I'm so excited. Justin Rose
- 0:18Speaker 2: is married to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City
- 0:21Speaker 2: cast member Whitney. They have been married for fourteen years
- 0:25Speaker 2: and have two kids together, a girl, Bobby and a son, Brooks.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Justin also has three sons from a previous marriage. He
- 0:33Speaker 2: has thirty years plus in as an executive indirect sales.
- 0:37Speaker 2: So we are so excited to get to know you, Justin,
- 0:40Speaker 2: and you know, being that you were in direct sales.
- 0:42Speaker 2: I think Edwin's got some great questions for you.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Love Oh yeah, Justin, I love it. Thanks for having me.
- 0:50Speaker 1: It's great to be here.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Hey, welcome Justin. Well, you got me beat by five years.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I got twenty five years in direct selling, so no idea.
- 1:00Speaker 1: We're in the same spirit. When we met at Bravo Kan.
- 1:05Speaker 3: I knew there was a reason I liked you man,
- 1:08Speaker 3: and also you're a BYO BYU guy, So now I'm
- 1:12Speaker 3: all in a BYU. A lot of my sales guys
- 1:14Speaker 3: come from BYU man salespeople.
- 1:16Speaker 1: They're really good sales people.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Yeah, great sales people.
- 1:20Speaker 1: You go out and.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Sell religion for two years, you can pretty much sell
- 1:23Speaker 4: anything the rest.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Of your life, exactly. Yes, that's where I get all
- 1:27Speaker 3: That's where we get all our top recruits from. Now,
- 1:29Speaker 3: So were you were you born and raised in Utah?
- 1:32Speaker 1: No?
- 1:32Speaker 4: I actually was born in Redondo Beach, California, so in
- 1:36Speaker 4: your neck of the woods. But we moved to Houston, Texas,
- 1:39Speaker 4: So I'm a Texan at heart. Went to high school
- 1:43Speaker 4: in Texas and then kind of moved out to the
- 1:45Speaker 4: Utah area when I went to school at BYU.
- 1:49Speaker 2: How old were you when you moved to Utah.
- 1:52Speaker 4: I was eighteen, so just graduated from high school. By
- 1:56Speaker 4: It's actually a funny story. I wanted to go to
- 1:58Speaker 4: the University of Texas because that's where all my friends
- 2:01Speaker 4: were going. I even went to my college visitation to
- 2:04Speaker 4: the University of Texas. I came home with an ear
- 2:06Speaker 4: ring in my ear and my mom cried, and we basically.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Leveled the playing.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Field of Hey, if you want to go to the
- 2:17Speaker 4: University of Texas, that's.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Great, good luck you want to go, BYU will.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Take care of your tuition cost and your school, so
- 2:25Speaker 4: I went to BYU.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Good incentive. There are your parents still out in Texas?
- 2:32Speaker 1: No, they're here now.
- 2:33Speaker 4: My dad passed away a few years ago, but my
- 2:35Speaker 4: mom they moved out to Utah when he retired.
- 2:38Speaker 1: So a lot of family here in Utah. Now.
- 2:40Speaker 4: I still have a brother and sister in Texas, but
- 2:44Speaker 4: the rest of the families.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Here now that So ultimately they moved to Utah because
- 2:49Speaker 3: you were going to school there and they want to
- 2:50Speaker 3: be closer to you, or they just well, I wish.
- 2:52Speaker 4: I could say I was the favorite, but I have
- 2:54Speaker 4: an older brother and he's actually the favorite.
- 2:57Speaker 1: He was a coach at b Y. He was the
- 2:59Speaker 1: basketball coach at b.
- 3:01Speaker 4: YU for several years, and we really we kind of
- 3:05Speaker 4: rallied around him even when he played. He played for
- 3:07Speaker 4: the University of Houston. I don't know if you follow basketball,
- 3:10Speaker 4: but he played with Bi Slama Jama, with Alkema Lajyuwan
- 3:14Speaker 4: and Clyde Drexler. So we have been a little fan
- 3:17Speaker 4: group of his following around when he played and then
- 3:21Speaker 4: when he started coaching. We've been everywhere that he's coached,
- 3:24Speaker 4: and so my parents kind of came out here to
- 3:26Speaker 4: be super close to that entire connection.
- 3:30Speaker 2: That's prett only sibiling.
- 3:32Speaker 1: No, we're five. Oh wow, I'm the youngest of five.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I'm the black sheep of the family.
- 3:40Speaker 2: So I get it that when I met you, you
- 3:43Speaker 2: have that energy. It's you're just a lot of fun
- 3:46Speaker 2: justin you really.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Are so thirty years in direct selling? How did you
- 3:51Speaker 3: get into that field?
- 3:53Speaker 1: So?
- 3:53Speaker 4: I was actually at BYU and my uncle introduced me
- 3:56Speaker 4: to I needed a part time job.
- 3:58Speaker 1: My uncle introduced me to someone had started a company.
- 4:01Speaker 4: At the time, New Skin had been doing about twelve
- 4:05Speaker 4: million in cells. They were brand new, and I just
- 4:08Speaker 4: so happened to kind of get on board at a
- 4:11Speaker 4: time where they were just growing and opportunities were coming
- 4:16Speaker 4: up left and right. I had a chance to go
- 4:18Speaker 4: from just processing orders to managing the order processing department,
- 4:23Speaker 4: to marketing to sales. So a ton of really cool
- 4:27Speaker 4: opportunities happened just because of the growth that happened.
- 4:30Speaker 3: That's cool. So was that before you went on you
- 4:34Speaker 3: I assume you went on a mission because you grew
- 4:36Speaker 3: up Mormon right LDS.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Yep, grew up LDS for well, I don't know if
- 4:42Speaker 4: it's unfortunate, I don't wear that badge anymore. But when
- 4:46Speaker 4: when I came home from my mission, obviously I was
- 4:49Speaker 4: still your mission Sacramento, Sacramento Spanish speaking, so let's justpanel
- 4:56Speaker 4: iocastpono siano on you.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:01Speaker 3: It's very good man.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And crazy enough.
- 5:12Speaker 4: I didn't know this at the time because we weren't
- 5:14Speaker 4: allowed to drink on my mission, but I speak better
- 5:16Speaker 4: Spanish when I drink tequila.
- 5:19Speaker 3: You need too. So so you're out in Sacramento knocking
- 5:26Speaker 3: doors for two years? What was that experience?
- 5:29Speaker 2: Like?
- 5:30Speaker 1: It was? It was? It was crazy.
- 5:32Speaker 4: I mean, there was parts of it that I absolutely loved.
- 5:35Speaker 4: I grew up Mormons, so it just like naturally just
- 5:38Speaker 4: followed the path of.
- 5:40Speaker 1: My family put me in.
- 5:41Speaker 4: And so when you're pushed out on a mission, it's
- 5:44Speaker 4: the first time that you start to think for yourself.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You're not under your.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Parents' supervision any longer, and you have to navigate your
- 5:53Speaker 4: own journey from there. So it was a moment I
- 5:56Speaker 4: had to like dig deep inside because all my friends
- 5:59Speaker 4: were at parties, schools, sending me letters because at that
- 6:03Speaker 4: time you could only correspond through letters. It's changed today,
- 6:08Speaker 4: but you could only call home once a year or
- 6:12Speaker 4: twice a year Mother's Day in Christmas, you could actually
- 6:14Speaker 4: make phone calls home, but other than that, all your
- 6:16Speaker 4: correspondence was through mel and my friends would send me
- 6:19Speaker 4: pictures of their incredible freshman year at Steve F. Austin
- 6:24Speaker 4: and University of Texas, and that part of it was
- 6:27Speaker 4: really hard. But once you kind of removed that and
- 6:30Speaker 4: you focused into.
- 6:33Speaker 1: You know what, it's not about me anymore.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Like it's a pretty cool thing for a nineteen year
- 6:38Speaker 4: old to have to step back and realize, you know what,
- 6:41Speaker 4: not everything's about me, and you just yourself into I'm
- 6:46Speaker 4: here for other people. I'm here to help other people.
- 6:49Speaker 4: And at the time I had a belief that I
- 6:51Speaker 4: felt like I was doing something very special for people,
- 6:54Speaker 4: and so it was a pretty cool experience for sure.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Do you think the Mormon religion or you know that,
- 7:03Speaker 2: Is that a big part of why you were like
- 7:05Speaker 2: that or is it just something that one day it
- 7:09Speaker 2: clicked for you.
- 7:10Speaker 4: No, I believe being put in that situation absolutely helps
- 7:15Speaker 4: kind of like it.
- 7:16Speaker 1: And you're surrounded by it as well.
- 7:18Speaker 4: It's not only you, it's everybody else went through some
- 7:21Speaker 4: different experience in their childhood. But now we're all equals
- 7:25Speaker 4: doing the same type of work. It's pretty incredible to
- 7:29Speaker 4: My two older sons went on missions as well, and
- 7:33Speaker 4: I was even though I was out of the church
- 7:35Speaker 4: at the time, I was super happy that they were
- 7:37Speaker 4: going to get that experience.
- 7:39Speaker 1: And even though they're no.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Longer active in the church, they they they look back
- 7:44Speaker 4: at that as a great a great time where they
- 7:46Speaker 4: had to like step back and reevaluate what they wanted.
- 7:49Speaker 4: What they saw was. I mean, when you when you
- 7:52Speaker 4: grow up Mormon and you're just in it, it's a
- 7:56Speaker 4: completely different feel than when you're out trying to convince
- 7:59Speaker 4: people that that's how they should be. And so it
- 8:03Speaker 4: really does open your eyes to a different world than
- 8:06Speaker 4: you were used to growing up.
- 8:08Speaker 3: And so when you go on in a mission, do
- 8:11Speaker 3: you guys all stay like in an apartment? Is it
- 8:13Speaker 3: like six of you in one apartment? Or how does
- 8:15Speaker 3: that work? Because I assume most of you, most of
- 8:17Speaker 3: them don't have enough money because no one's really working.
- 8:19Speaker 3: So yeah, well do you get a budget? How does
- 8:22Speaker 3: that work?
- 8:22Speaker 4: It's a budget? I mean, your your parents pretty much
- 8:25Speaker 4: funded or you have to fund it. We did a
- 8:27Speaker 4: lot of things as kids to start a savings account.
- 8:30Speaker 4: But there were times I lived with six five other guys.
- 8:33Speaker 4: You're always in a companionship, so it was always two
- 8:37Speaker 4: and there was sometimes there was just two of us
- 8:40Speaker 4: in a place I lived in. I don't know if
- 8:41Speaker 4: you guys are familiar with Red Bluff, California, but I
- 8:45Speaker 4: lived in a little shack of a home with just
- 8:49Speaker 4: one other missionary, which was Yeah, kind of a crazy experience.
- 8:54Speaker 2: That sounds awesome. I mean it helps you really become
- 8:57Speaker 2: well rounded. Can we go back a little bit and
- 9:01Speaker 2: talk about your first marriage. Yeah, so you got married.
- 9:05Speaker 2: You have how many kids with her?
- 9:06Speaker 1: Three?
- 9:07Speaker 2: Three kids?
- 9:08Speaker 1: Three boys?
- 9:09Speaker 2: Okay, and can you tell us a little bit about
- 9:11Speaker 2: that experience being married as a Mormon.
- 9:14Speaker 4: So when when you go on a mission, the last
- 9:17Speaker 4: thing that they prepare you for is now that you've
- 9:20Speaker 4: served this mission and you've done this work, you need
- 9:23Speaker 4: to go get married and start a family.
- 9:26Speaker 1: It's it's Yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 4: When you ever wonder why all your sales guys are
- 9:29Speaker 4: married edwhen, it's because the push is naturally to the
- 9:33Speaker 4: next step is to find your eternal companion and start
- 9:37Speaker 4: a family. And so I was still in the system.
- 9:40Speaker 4: I followed the system. I came home, I believe in
- 9:44Speaker 4: December of eighty nine, nineteen.
- 9:47Speaker 1: This is going to age men, nineteen eighty nine. And
- 9:50Speaker 1: I was.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Married in August, Wow, to a girl I met in February.
- 9:56Speaker 1: So that kind of shows you the accelerated path. Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yeah, But was it love or was it.
- 10:03Speaker 4: I mean, to me, it was absolutely. I mean it's
- 10:06Speaker 4: obviously I lived a pretty sheltered life. So whether or
- 10:10Speaker 4: not that is everyone's definition of love. But yeah, for me,
- 10:14Speaker 4: that's what I felt like I needed to do at
- 10:16Speaker 4: the time, although there were signs and hesitations along the way,
- 10:22Speaker 4: but you can when you're brought up in the church,
- 10:26Speaker 4: you know how to stuff things down pretty easy, kind
- 10:29Speaker 4: of like just keep moving on with the program. So
- 10:32Speaker 4: but she was a fantastic girl.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I had an amazing marriage. We never had anything that.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Was a big problem other than there came a time
- 10:45Speaker 4: where I was ready to leave the church and she
- 10:48Speaker 4: I couldn't do that to her because she was brought
- 10:50Speaker 4: up in the church as well, and that was kind
- 10:53Speaker 4: of like the beginning of our separation.
- 10:56Speaker 3: And how long were you guys married?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Eighteen years?
- 11:00Speaker 2: Eighteen years?
- 11:00Speaker 4: Yeah, So Whitney and I were coming up on fifteen So.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Wow, you've already had two lives man, pretty much, pretty much.
- 11:17Speaker 2: I'm really curious to know your story with Whitney because
- 11:20Speaker 2: it sounds like that was definitely love and you guys
- 11:25Speaker 2: made a lot of changes for each other, no doubt.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Great.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Can you elaborate on that. How'd you guys meet?
- 11:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I'll tell you the full story over cocktails,
- 11:34Speaker 4: but for the podcast, I'll share the abbreviated version.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:39Speaker 4: So, Whitney, So I when I worked at I worked
- 11:42Speaker 4: at New Skin, I left, I worked at a couple
- 11:44Speaker 4: other direct selling companies. I worked at Melluca for a
- 11:48Speaker 4: little bit in Usana for a little.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Bit, and then I went back to New Skin and
- 11:52Speaker 1: on my.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Second tour of duty with New Skin in about two
- 11:56Speaker 4: thousand and seven, two thousand and eight, I was made
- 11:59Speaker 4: the president of North America in Asia Pacific. At that time,
- 12:02Speaker 4: we were close to a two billion dollar company. Things
- 12:05Speaker 4: were going really well for New Skin. Had a fantastic
- 12:09Speaker 4: job and a career path that I was pretty excited about.
- 12:15Speaker 1: I met Whitney.
- 12:16Speaker 4: She was a referral to work in the department that
- 12:20Speaker 4: I oversaw, and she started.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I met her probably a month.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Or two after she had started a new skin, and
- 12:29Speaker 4: my executive assistant was going out and hiring for me
- 12:33Speaker 4: to replace herself, and she chose Whitney. And that's when
- 12:37Speaker 4: Whitney and I really kind of started hitting it off,
- 12:41Speaker 4: and we had this amazing connection and friendship, which is
- 12:47Speaker 4: something that's not allowed between the president of a company
- 12:50Speaker 4: and an executive assistant.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So we had to jump.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Through some hoops and again we'll leave a lot of
- 12:56Speaker 4: the details for the cocktails later, but there was one
- 13:00Speaker 4: day that she walked in my office and she shut
- 13:02Speaker 4: the door behind her, and she just looked at me
- 13:05Speaker 4: and she goes, I don't know if you're feeling what
- 13:07Speaker 4: I'm feeling, but if you are, I think we're in trouble.
- 13:11Speaker 2: And wow, I just looked up.
- 13:14Speaker 4: At her and it was a big shock in surprise. Yeah,
- 13:17Speaker 4: it's just like, I think we're in trouble. What's the
- 13:22Speaker 4: age difference, So we're eighteen years difference? Oh wow, Okay, yeah,
- 13:27Speaker 4: so there's a little gap here, no doubt, But you
- 13:30Speaker 4: wouldn't know it when we're again, absolutely no, you really
- 13:34Speaker 4: know it when we're listening to music and I'm singing
- 13:37Speaker 4: songs she's never heard and things, but other than that,
- 13:40Speaker 4: it's it's pretty awesome.
- 13:42Speaker 3: So you had no idea that she had any feelings
- 13:45Speaker 3: towards you at that time, you were sort of shocked
- 13:47Speaker 3: if she said that, or did you kind of know
- 13:49Speaker 3: that she was into you?
- 13:50Speaker 4: Or no, I actually I knew that, Oh my gosh,
- 13:54Speaker 4: this woman is amazing. Never thinking even after she said that,
- 13:59Speaker 4: and even after we started dating a little bit, it's
- 14:03Speaker 4: kind of like this could never happen though, Like it's
- 14:06Speaker 4: there's a way, like I always had this, like, yeah,
- 14:09Speaker 4: she's playing with you, like at something. She's gonna wake
- 14:12Speaker 4: up and be like, oh okay, I'm back on to
- 14:15Speaker 4: living my life. But we did have something pretty strong,
- 14:19Speaker 4: a connection that still lasts today. I mean, even when
- 14:22Speaker 4: we fight, we cannot not be together, like we'll like
- 14:26Speaker 4: we will go sit like we'll be upset with each
- 14:29Speaker 4: other and go to dinner and not even talked, but
- 14:33Speaker 4: we have to be together.
- 14:35Speaker 1: It's y. Yeah, it's pretty crazy.
- 14:37Speaker 2: That's love.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I was gonna say, now, you're I'm trying to think
- 14:40Speaker 3: to this moment, because it's actually a pretty crazy moment
- 14:42Speaker 3: when you think about it. You have no idea she's
- 14:44Speaker 3: into you, right, and she's an attractive woman. She closes
- 14:49Speaker 3: the door and says pretty much, Hey, I'm really into you.
- 14:53Speaker 3: And now does the thought of like a married immediately
- 14:57Speaker 3: come through or or are you just like man, I've
- 15:00Speaker 3: been feeling the same way for this girl forever.
- 15:03Speaker 4: It was that's a great question, and it was a shock,
- 15:07Speaker 4: but again, it like it deserved a response, and a
- 15:11Speaker 4: response was literally immediate.
- 15:13Speaker 1: It was just like, yeah, we're effing in trouble.
- 15:16Speaker 4: If that if you're being honest with me, then I yeah,
- 15:22Speaker 4: I think that that is.
- 15:24Speaker 1: And and so we did.
- 15:25Speaker 4: We ended up having to go through an entire process
- 15:29Speaker 4: with HR.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Wow.
- 15:31Speaker 4: They had a contract that we had to sign that
- 15:33Speaker 4: was called the love contract that allowed someone that worked
- 15:37Speaker 4: for someone else and and and actually she moved apartments
- 15:41Speaker 4: when we let HR know that we were married or
- 15:45Speaker 4: that we were seeing each other.
- 15:46Speaker 1: And so there.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Was quite a few things you had to take place
- 15:52Speaker 4: from an HR perspective for us to still have our jobs.
- 15:56Speaker 2: There were you already on the way out or in
- 16:01Speaker 2: already out of your relationship, Yeah, you're separated already, Okay,
- 16:06Speaker 2: So that allowed you the freedom to you know, explore
- 16:09Speaker 2: that relationship and that.
- 16:10Speaker 1: A little bit.
- 16:11Speaker 4: It's definitely not anything that would be accepted in the
- 16:14Speaker 4: state of Utah or the religion that I grew up with,
- 16:18Speaker 4: But yeah, in the new world that I was living,
- 16:22Speaker 4: it was Yeah, the.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Next step is that part of the reason why you
- 16:26Speaker 2: didn't you left the religion because the divorce and then
- 16:31Speaker 2: get well.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Obviously it's it was the fast track to be out
- 16:35Speaker 4: of it. But I had started to have my doubts
- 16:38Speaker 4: and going through my own faith crisis.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Many years before that.
- 16:43Speaker 4: So which was the reason that my me and my
- 16:46Speaker 4: first wife were slowly separating?
- 16:49Speaker 3: And how does the and you know many many people
- 16:52Speaker 3: obviously go through separation unfortunately, right, it's not always the best.
- 16:56Speaker 3: And how was the transition with you and your kids
- 17:00Speaker 3: when that happened? Was that was that? Probably? I assume
- 17:03Speaker 3: the toughest part is having to tell the kids.
- 17:05Speaker 4: And yeah, I mean obviously super hard at the time
- 17:10Speaker 4: they were.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Fifteen, twelve, and nine, But.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Like I have, I have the best kids in the world.
- 17:23Speaker 4: They were as hurt as they were.
- 17:26Speaker 1: They also they.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Knew who I was, I mean, they knew who their
- 17:30Speaker 4: dad was, and they wanted me to be happy and
- 17:33Speaker 4: they supported me that there was never a time that
- 17:37Speaker 4: there wasn't support from them, which like was almost like
- 17:41Speaker 4: sometimes I would pinch myself like is this real life?
- 17:44Speaker 1: Like?
- 17:45Speaker 4: And I'm sure it would have been different had I
- 17:47Speaker 4: had three girls. But my boys, like they were, they
- 17:52Speaker 4: were so good about the entire process. And then when
- 17:54Speaker 4: I started dating Whitney, they were like, oh, thank goodness.
- 17:57Speaker 4: We thought you were going to marry this old lady
- 17:59Speaker 4: that was gonna like be so make you different. And
- 18:03Speaker 4: we love Whitney. And so they accepted Whitney very quickly.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Were they like, dad, just pretty hot, good job.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Yeah, my youngest had a crush on her. We had
- 18:11Speaker 1: to figure that out.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Well that's that's pretty that's pretty awesome, especially at that age, right,
- 18:19Speaker 3: I mean, the fifteen year old could easily have gone
- 18:21Speaker 3: dark on you at that point, right.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Really could have. Yeah, But he was actually the biggest support.
- 18:26Speaker 4: He was the I mean and and I realized, I
- 18:29Speaker 4: don't take this lightly, and I don't even we I
- 18:33Speaker 4: don't love to talk about how everything happened and the
- 18:37Speaker 4: way it happened and the timing of it.
- 18:39Speaker 1: The one thing I do respect about.
- 18:41Speaker 4: Whitney from the very beginning is that Whitney has and
- 18:45Speaker 4: this is the only reason I think she can do
- 18:47Speaker 4: what she does, especially with real housewives, is she always
- 18:50Speaker 4: owns her ship, like to the point where I'm like, okay,
- 18:53Speaker 4: we don't have to say everything. I can keep a
- 18:56Speaker 4: couple of things between us and we have to share everything.
- 18:59Speaker 4: So that's like when she gets called out as being
- 19:01Speaker 4: a liar deceptive, I'm like, do you do you know
- 19:05Speaker 4: who my wife is?
- 19:06Speaker 3: She doesn't know how to lie.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I'm like, sometimes I wish she knew how to lie.
- 19:11Speaker 4: I'd be like, if you could tell me I look
- 19:14Speaker 4: okay today, Like it's okay even if you don't think
- 19:17Speaker 4: it just lie.
- 19:22Speaker 3: How's the blended family now?
- 19:25Speaker 1: It's all it's actually the coolest.
- 19:28Speaker 4: In fact, when Wynney and I when we're going out
- 19:30Speaker 4: to do things, it'll be one of my one of
- 19:32Speaker 4: my sons will come over and it is like my
- 19:36Speaker 4: kid and the Bobby and Brooks that are here at
- 19:39Speaker 4: the house. It's a big party, like they love it.
- 19:42Speaker 4: In fact, they encourage us to leave, they encourage us
- 19:45Speaker 4: to go places. So that's that mccaid or Trey can
- 19:49Speaker 4: come over and hang out with them, and it's it's again.
- 19:53Speaker 4: I'd literally pinch myself because I know not every family
- 19:56Speaker 4: has that dynamic. But for some reason, I get credit
- 20:00Speaker 4: to my boys because they have just been loving and
- 20:02Speaker 4: accepting of every situation they've been thrown in.
- 20:06Speaker 2: So it's beginning to sound too good to be true,
- 20:08Speaker 2: but I know it exists out there. Are you telling
- 20:11Speaker 2: us that your ex didn't cause any havache? Didn't you know,
- 20:15Speaker 2: say anything bad about your new girlfriend or wife? Now?
- 20:18Speaker 4: Oh, we we went through the normal things that everybody
- 20:22Speaker 4: would go through. It was I mean, social media wasn't
- 20:26Speaker 4: what it was back then, so it really was pretty private.
- 20:30Speaker 1: It was just between us and it wasn't nasty.
- 20:32Speaker 4: It was there was hurt feelings, but understanding and yeah,
- 20:40Speaker 4: and then there was a period of time where we
- 20:43Speaker 4: co parented and she was the prime I mean she
- 20:47Speaker 4: she was an amazing mother. My older boys had the
- 20:51Speaker 4: greatest mom, and we were able to work through it
- 20:57Speaker 4: in a very uh not in a friendship all but
- 21:00Speaker 4: in a very structured Yeah, the kids will be full
- 21:04Speaker 4: time with you. This is the time I would love
- 21:06Speaker 4: to have them, and we just worked through it.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Was she able to find someone as well, really really quick?
- 21:13Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 21:14Speaker 3: Well, I think the reason I asked that is I
- 21:16Speaker 3: think that helps, right when it does help the other
- 21:19Speaker 3: spouse can find someone as well. But if they don't,
- 21:23Speaker 3: then there's that I'm sort of gonna make your life
- 21:25Speaker 3: miserable because I haven't been able to find what you
- 21:27Speaker 3: Yah know.
- 21:27Speaker 4: She found someone that fit her really well, and they're
- 21:29Speaker 4: doing really well. The kids, you know, had a bonus
- 21:33Speaker 4: dad there. He played a big role in their upbringing
- 21:37Speaker 4: as well.
- 21:38Speaker 2: That's great. That's obviously the biggest benefit of having that
- 21:42Speaker 2: is for the kids.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Yeah, and I do know that not everybody gets that situation.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Sometimes that can be like go a completely different way.
- 21:50Speaker 4: So I know how lucky I am to have the
- 21:53Speaker 4: situation I have.
- 21:54Speaker 2: That's good. Good for you, man, You're very fortunate. How
- 22:06Speaker 2: did you guys get involved on the show? Like? How
- 22:09Speaker 2: did it happen?
- 22:10Speaker 1: So?
- 22:10Speaker 4: We had lived in northern California for about six years.
- 22:15Speaker 4: I worked for a company out there called Shackley out
- 22:19Speaker 4: of Pleasanton, California, and we lived in San Ramon, and
- 22:23Speaker 4: I got a job offer to come back to Utah.
- 22:26Speaker 4: So we moved back to Utah two thousand and sixteen
- 22:31Speaker 4: twenty seventeen timeframe, and at that time, Whitney had just
- 22:36Speaker 4: graduated from Saint Mary's. A lot of people don't know
- 22:39Speaker 4: that she not only graduated from Saint Mary's, but she
- 22:42Speaker 4: graduated with honors, and she was trying to figure out
- 22:46Speaker 4: what she was going to do for a career path.
- 22:48Speaker 4: She worked for an events company for a little bit,
- 22:50Speaker 4: and then when we moved back to Utah, she was
- 22:53Speaker 4: a stay at home mom for a little bit and
- 22:55Speaker 4: then looking to see what she wanted to do. She
- 23:01Speaker 4: actually went and did a photo shoot for me. I
- 23:06Speaker 4: think they're called boudoir photo shoots. So it was for
- 23:10Speaker 4: a birthday gift, and the photographer happened to be Heather Gay.
- 23:15Speaker 4: So she was introduced and met Heather Gay for the
- 23:19Speaker 4: first time and they.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Hit it off.
- 23:22Speaker 4: She she actually did the boudoir shoot with a couple
- 23:24Speaker 4: other friends that were doing the same thing for their
- 23:27Speaker 4: husbands and they all they had.
- 23:29Speaker 1: A great time.
- 23:30Speaker 4: So that's where she met Heather and they remained friends.
- 23:34Speaker 4: And Heather had been kind of telling her, Hey, I'm
- 23:37Speaker 4: working on this thing.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I think you would be amazing at it.
- 23:40Speaker 4: I don't know what it's going to be, but they're
- 23:42Speaker 4: looking at filming something here in the.
- 23:44Speaker 1: State of Utah. It's kind of reality based, but I
- 23:47Speaker 1: don't know what it'll be.
- 23:49Speaker 4: But I'm gonna put your name in, and so Heather
- 23:51Speaker 4: was the one that introduced her, and all of a sudden,
- 23:54Speaker 4: I get a call at work and Whitney was like, Hey,
- 23:58Speaker 4: so we have this inner you tonight. I've done a
- 24:01Speaker 4: couple of interviews already, but now they want to meet you.
- 24:05Speaker 4: So are you okay to get on camera at.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Such and such time? And that was that. That was
- 24:11Speaker 1: my introduction.
- 24:11Speaker 4: I had no idea and either did Whitney of what
- 24:14Speaker 4: kind of show it was going to be.
- 24:17Speaker 1: We came home.
- 24:18Speaker 4: I brought home these lights that come with uh, you know,
- 24:22Speaker 4: recording and stuff, just to have a good lighting.
- 24:26Speaker 1: And yeah, we just started to get asked about everything.
- 24:30Speaker 4: And that's when I realized that Whitney shares everything. Like
- 24:37Speaker 4: I'm like looking at her and not knowing how to like, oh,
- 24:41Speaker 4: you're going to share that too. Oh we're gonna say okay,
- 24:44Speaker 4: we're talking about Okay, now.
- 24:46Speaker 1: We're talking about that. But that's that's how it started.
- 24:50Speaker 4: And then once they got together as a cat they
- 24:53Speaker 4: had a couple dinners and stuff to see who kind
- 24:56Speaker 4: of fit and they still I don't think knew that
- 24:59Speaker 4: it was going to be your Real Housewives franchise.
- 25:02Speaker 2: But so they kept that like as they didn't want
- 25:05Speaker 2: you to know, right, they wanted to interview you. Okay, yeah,
- 25:08Speaker 2: but she.
- 25:09Speaker 4: Always made me feel like I was going to be
- 25:11Speaker 4: nothing a part of it, like I just need your support, Like.
- 25:15Speaker 2: You just need to smart very smoor, you'll have to.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Worry about anything. And then yeah, it turned out to
- 25:21Speaker 4: be a little different.
- 25:23Speaker 3: But how did direct sales help you with filming? And
- 25:27Speaker 3: I assume you're not a shy guy in front of
- 25:29Speaker 3: the cameras because you're probably used to being on stages
- 25:31Speaker 3: and talking to twenty thousand people with your direct sales
- 25:34Speaker 3: background or did not.
- 25:37Speaker 4: No, it's definitely a different feel from being on a
- 25:41Speaker 4: stage in front of people to just being in a
- 25:44Speaker 4: room where cameras are rolling and you're trying to Like
- 25:47Speaker 4: I was a fish out of water the first season.
- 25:52Speaker 4: I believe I was actually traveling. I think I was
- 25:56Speaker 4: traveling international. I was flying home and I had to
- 25:59Speaker 4: leave from the airport to Top Golf where they're having
- 26:03Speaker 4: an event for Sharif. It was his birthday. Jin was
- 26:08Speaker 4: throwing a big party for him and they were filming it,
- 26:11Speaker 4: and so Whitney was like, hey, I know you won't
- 26:13Speaker 4: be able to be at the first part, but if
- 26:14Speaker 4: you can at least show up, I think that would
- 26:16Speaker 4: be great. And I went straight to top golf and
- 26:20Speaker 4: that was like the first big fight that blew up
- 26:24Speaker 4: on real households of Salt Lake City. Gin was really
- 26:27Speaker 4: really mad at Whitney, threw a glass, said she was ruining.
- 26:30Speaker 4: Sharif and I were over in a bay, like he
- 26:33Speaker 4: was in the bay next to me, and we were
- 26:34Speaker 4: just hitting golf balls like we're just looking back, like
- 26:38Speaker 4: what in the world is We had no idea what
- 26:41Speaker 4: was going on, but we were getting to know each
- 26:42Speaker 4: other and like hitting it off.
- 26:44Speaker 1: And I kind of realized then.
- 26:46Speaker 4: That I like to be kind of away from the
- 26:50Speaker 4: action just that can in on it every once in
- 26:54Speaker 4: a while. But what I've learned also about my journey
- 26:57Speaker 4: is eventually you get thrusted into.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I have an interesting question for you, and
- 27:05Speaker 2: this is a lot of it based off my experience.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you
- 27:12Speaker 2: wanted to support or further support or get involved in
- 27:18Speaker 2: the drama between your wife and another cast member, whether
- 27:21Speaker 2: it's a male or female. Did you ever feel like
- 27:24Speaker 2: I better step up and I feel I need to
- 27:26Speaker 2: support my wife and say something.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Here, stay tuned all that.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Oh you did it this season, because I feel like.
- 27:36Speaker 4: The first four seasons I navigated perfectly. Like you know what,
- 27:41Speaker 4: John Barlow and I were sitting out of dinner with
- 27:44Speaker 4: Lisa and Whitney like literally yelling at each other for
- 27:47Speaker 4: an hour straight and like food was coming and cocktails
- 27:51Speaker 4: were coming.
- 27:52Speaker 1: And this was early on where do we eat? Do
- 27:55Speaker 1: we like? What are we like?
- 27:56Speaker 4: And John and I have a great relationship, so like
- 27:58Speaker 4: there's no beef between us, but we're just like, like,
- 28:02Speaker 4: who are our wives right now? Like we were completely stunned.
- 28:06Speaker 4: So I felt like I was able to navigate even
- 28:09Speaker 4: the worst moments of the drama being right in my face. Yeah,
- 28:13Speaker 4: but yeah, it eventually caught up to me season five.
- 28:17Speaker 2: So it does. It caught out to me this season
- 28:19Speaker 2: myself too, And it happened to be I think it
- 28:24Speaker 2: was probably right after the episode when Edwin and I
- 28:27Speaker 2: were talking about, you know, not getting involved with any
- 28:30Speaker 2: of the drama, and next thing, you know, somehow a
- 28:33Speaker 2: week later, I'm involved with the drama and yeah, I
- 28:37Speaker 2: totally jinxed it. And you know, the following time I
- 28:40Speaker 2: saw edwin, I'm like, bro, I did it.
- 28:44Speaker 1: You know what?
- 28:45Speaker 4: Hey, that makes me feel so much better because I've
- 28:47Speaker 4: been dreading, dreading what's coming.
- 28:49Speaker 2: But well, the way I remember it, that's the funny thing,
- 28:53Speaker 2: the way I remember it. I I guess I came
- 28:58Speaker 2: off like an idiot, you know, as you know, just
- 29:00Speaker 2: losing my cool, which is not not what I like
- 29:03Speaker 2: to do. But according to the rest of the cast
- 29:06Speaker 2: that witnessed it all, they said that you were cool, collected,
- 29:09Speaker 2: and totally classy about it. So I don't know how
- 29:13Speaker 2: Bravo was going to play it that, you know, to
- 29:15Speaker 2: be determined, right, Am I going to look like an
- 29:17Speaker 2: idiot defending myself? Or am I going to be like
- 29:20Speaker 2: a hero?
- 29:21Speaker 1: You you just don't know, Like now you're scared.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Well, hopefully it turns out exactly like you said, because
- 29:28Speaker 4: again my situation, I kind of got that same feedback.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Oh you're justin you were in the right, yeah, but
- 29:34Speaker 1: you just don't know.
- 29:37Speaker 3: You just don't know.
- 29:39Speaker 2: He speaking of.
- 29:40Speaker 3: So, You've had obviously an amazing career with your executive life,
- 29:45Speaker 3: and season three you film some stuff that got you.
- 29:50Speaker 3: From what I believe, I think you got fired because
- 29:53Speaker 3: of it. So were you in shock? And when you
- 29:56Speaker 3: filmed it, did you kind of think I might get
- 29:59Speaker 3: fired for doing this? Screwed it, I'm gonna do it anyway,
- 30:01Speaker 3: or just a complete yeah.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I want you to tell us about that moment, because
- 30:06Speaker 2: I don't. I haven't seen that moment. I've only seen
- 30:09Speaker 2: We're still friends.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Like, okay, the photo I'm gonna use. You know, it's funny.
- 30:15Speaker 3: So I saw the photo because when when we knew
- 30:18Speaker 3: you were coming, someone sent it and I glanced at it.
- 30:21Speaker 3: My heart dropped because I thought it was teddy. I
- 30:26Speaker 3: thought you guys were playing a joke on me.
- 30:29Speaker 1: That's actually really really funny. That's oh my goodness.
- 30:32Speaker 4: So I'll back up and then i'll kind of explain
- 30:36Speaker 4: when I worked at Life Manage. Life Manage is a
- 30:38Speaker 4: publicly traded company, so I was a chief sales officer
- 30:40Speaker 4: for them, and you know when you work for a
- 30:43Speaker 4: publicly traded company, it's pretty strict. I mean, everything has
- 30:46Speaker 4: to be signed off on. In fact, I got permission
- 30:49Speaker 4: to do well, permission for Whitney to do this show.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I did go through that process.
- 30:55Speaker 4: My CEO at the time was all for it, like
- 30:58Speaker 4: he was like, hey, there's no such thing bad publicity,
- 31:01Speaker 4: like let's get you in swag. And so you'll notice
- 31:04Speaker 4: the first few seasons I have life Vantage gear on.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I'm you know.
- 31:08Speaker 4: And then I think they didn't quite understand what real
- 31:14Speaker 4: housewives could be or and and we actually changed CEOs.
- 31:19Speaker 1: We got a much more conservative.
- 31:21Speaker 4: CEO in house, and the dynamics started to change.
- 31:26Speaker 1: You know.
- 31:27Speaker 4: When I realized that I was in a little bit
- 31:29Speaker 4: of trouble was every board meeting.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Aaron Brockovich was one of our board members.
- 31:33Speaker 2: By the way, oh wow, Orange County.
- 31:36Speaker 4: And she apparently she made a run at being a housewife.
- 31:40Speaker 4: At one time she warned me when I was getting
- 31:44Speaker 4: permission to do it, that I would be divorced soon
- 31:48Speaker 4: if I did it.
- 31:50Speaker 1: We went in and jumped in anyways, but.
- 31:54Speaker 4: She uh So the board of directors, every time we
- 31:56Speaker 4: would break and have a little bit of time to
- 31:59Speaker 4: each other, they all wanted to know about the show.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Everybody wanted to ask about Whitney and the show. And
- 32:05Speaker 4: then at that time there was a lot of energy
- 32:07Speaker 4: around Jinshaw, So what's going on there? Da da da,
- 32:10Speaker 4: And then there was one board meeting that no one
- 32:12Speaker 4: asked me anything like, uh oh, the honeymoon is over,
- 32:20Speaker 4: and it was the conversation was it looked the timing
- 32:24Speaker 4: and everything looked like it was because of that one scene.
- 32:28Speaker 4: And I'm sure that played a role in it, but
- 32:31Speaker 4: they just felt like they didn't want their chief sales
- 32:34Speaker 4: officer in that type of situation.
- 32:37Speaker 1: So I couldn't blame them.
- 32:38Speaker 4: It was a departure that that needed to happen for
- 32:42Speaker 4: me to get to where I am now. So yeah,
- 32:45Speaker 4: but it was, Yeah, it was a little a little
- 32:48Speaker 4: hard at the moment, for sure.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Tell us about the scene, Now, what did we do?
- 32:54Speaker 1: So I don't know.
- 32:56Speaker 4: Everybody has their own like this is how I want
- 32:59Speaker 4: to be read it after a business trip, But my
- 33:02Speaker 4: dream would be to come home and my wife to
- 33:06Speaker 4: answer the door in lingerie with my favorite red wine
- 33:11Speaker 4: and my favorite food. And that just so happened to
- 33:15Speaker 4: play out in the filming of Real Housewives of Salt
- 33:19Speaker 4: Lake City.
- 33:19Speaker 1: So I'm getting.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Home from the airport and I didn't know we were filming,
- 33:26Speaker 4: and but I see all the production cars and trucks
- 33:30Speaker 4: in front of my house and I'm like, oh, and
- 33:33Speaker 4: I'm exhausted. I don't want this, And I go to
- 33:35Speaker 4: walk you through the door, and someone came out and said,
- 33:38Speaker 4: justin can.
- 33:38Speaker 1: You can you stay?
- 33:39Speaker 4: Can you hold Yeah, I'm on the porch for a
- 33:41Speaker 4: little bit. We're just finishing up some things and then
- 33:43Speaker 4: are you good to film?
- 33:45Speaker 1: Yeah? Like, oh yeah, yeah, I guess.
- 33:48Speaker 4: So I'm out there with my suitcase waiting for about
- 33:50Speaker 4: thirty minutes while they're finishing, and then finally they're like, okay,
- 33:55Speaker 4: go ahead, do you mind just kind of ringing the doorbell.
- 33:57Speaker 1: I'm like, well, okayt.
- 34:02Speaker 4: Whinney opens the door and her lingerie and just we
- 34:08Speaker 4: It was everything I wanted. But you're in that moment
- 34:11Speaker 4: and you're like enjoying wine, you're having a conversation with
- 34:15Speaker 4: your wife, There's so many things going through your head,
- 34:18Speaker 4: and then you're like, there are.
- 34:19Speaker 1: A lot of people in my house right now.
- 34:22Speaker 4: I wish they I wish they were And then she
- 34:26Speaker 4: was like, hey, do you remember the gift that our
- 34:29Speaker 4: friend gave us for Christmas?
- 34:31Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh, yeah, the Love is Art.
- 34:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:33Speaker 1: She's like, well, I think we should do it. And
- 34:36Speaker 1: I'm like I've been waiting for you to say yeah,
- 34:38Speaker 1: I'm all for no, I think we should do it now.
- 34:41Speaker 2: And It's like once you jump on that bullet train,
- 34:44Speaker 2: you can't jump off now, right.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, now it's baby steps, right because I'm like
- 34:50Speaker 4: looking at her like, I mean you mean, like she's like, oh, yeah, yeah,
- 34:55Speaker 4: we'll just set it up and then we'll just you know,
- 34:57Speaker 4: like it. So we go upstairs and yeah, like it
- 35:03Speaker 4: happened so fast.
- 35:04Speaker 1: But I do have to tell you the funniest because I.
- 35:07Speaker 4: Don't know if you know what love us art is,
- 35:09Speaker 4: but you throw a canvas down on the floor and
- 35:11Speaker 4: then you paint yourselves and then you roll around on
- 35:15Speaker 4: the canvas and it makes art, right, So all the
- 35:18Speaker 4: different colors of paint that you have on each other
- 35:20Speaker 4: and you're rolling around.
- 35:22Speaker 2: But you're not naked, are you?
- 35:25Speaker 4: No?
- 35:25Speaker 1: Not filming?
- 35:26Speaker 4: I mean you're I'm sure love his Art could be
- 35:29Speaker 4: done naked if you weren't filming, But no, I had
- 35:32Speaker 4: I had boxer briefs.
- 35:34Speaker 1: On, and she had but she had a thong on
- 35:37Speaker 1: and just nipple guards.
- 35:40Speaker 3: So yeah, it was a hot pick. I was impressed.
- 35:46Speaker 4: So yeah, and again she she told me that we
- 35:49Speaker 4: were just gonna lay it out and get it ready
- 35:50Speaker 4: and maybe paint each other up, and we call it.
- 35:52Speaker 1: A scene right, and then all of a sudden, we're
- 35:54Speaker 1: rolling around.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Well before that, though, I like, I didn't want to
- 35:58Speaker 4: take my shirt off. I had like I wasn't in
- 36:00Speaker 4: the best shape, but like I was nervous about.
- 36:03Speaker 1: How far we were actually taking this.
- 36:05Speaker 4: And one of our camera guys was like, hey, Justin,
- 36:09Speaker 4: would it help if I took my shirt off?
- 36:11Speaker 1: She was like, yes, yeah, that would be awesome. And
- 36:15Speaker 1: so we're continued.
- 36:18Speaker 3: You look pretty. You look pretty ripped to me right
- 36:20Speaker 3: here now, I mean you look you look like you're
- 36:22Speaker 3: working out. You don't look like you're out of shape
- 36:24Speaker 3: in this pic.
- 36:24Speaker 1: By the way, Oh you're very You're very kind. You
- 36:27Speaker 1: must be in sales.
- 36:29Speaker 4: But through that process, I look over to the site
- 36:33Speaker 4: and there he is with this camera without a shirt off.
- 36:36Speaker 4: I like, I just at that point in time, I
- 36:39Speaker 4: just laughed and realized that it's going to be what
- 36:41Speaker 4: it was going to be. But here's a crazy thing
- 36:44Speaker 4: that a lot of people don't know. This was the
- 36:47Speaker 4: year that Jinny, who was on for just one season,
- 36:52Speaker 4: they came into some issues at the end, and when
- 36:56Speaker 4: we went to reunion and you you get all your
- 36:59Speaker 4: episodes to watch and catch up to be prepared for reunion.
- 37:03Speaker 4: That scene didn't make it, and I was like so happy.
- 37:07Speaker 4: I was like, oh my gosh, we dodged the biggest
- 37:09Speaker 4: ball scene is not going to make it. And then
- 37:12Speaker 4: we went through the whole reunion and that, and then
- 37:16Speaker 4: a week or two after that was when things came
- 37:18Speaker 4: out about Ginny and then she got let go from
- 37:21Speaker 4: the show, and they took a lot of the scenes
- 37:24Speaker 4: that they had thought they were going to play from her.
- 37:26Speaker 4: Oh and one of the ones they replaced it was
- 37:30Speaker 4: love Is, So there's.
- 37:32Speaker 2: I'm surprised they were going to plan to keep it out.
- 37:34Speaker 2: That's good stuff. I mean, that is house life stuff
- 37:38Speaker 2: was changed.
- 37:39Speaker 3: It changed your life for you. Probably would have been
- 37:41Speaker 3: working at the same company still right.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Probably without a doubt, probably be still there, but probably
- 37:46Speaker 4: walking on.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Egg shells as I needed to at the time.
- 37:49Speaker 3: So I'm curious on the on how a non compete works,
- 38:01Speaker 3: because if they get rid of you, shouldn't you be
- 38:03Speaker 3: able to like just go work wherever you want Or
- 38:06Speaker 3: was it one of those like Okay, well we're going
- 38:08Speaker 3: to take care of you, but for a year you
- 38:10Speaker 3: can't work and be a competitor.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Yeah, it was within the industry. It was a non
- 38:16Speaker 4: compete to work for a full year.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that must have been tough on you, right, so
- 38:22Speaker 3: because you've been working all your life. And then so,
- 38:25Speaker 3: what was that experience like, all of a sudden another
- 38:27Speaker 3: for a year now you can't really do anything. You
- 38:30Speaker 3: drive yourself nuts? Or or was it good time off?
- 38:33Speaker 4: No? I drove myself completely nuts. It would be great
- 38:36Speaker 4: time off if you knew what was next, but at
- 38:38Speaker 4: that point in time it was so new and fresh.
- 38:40Speaker 1: I didn't know what was next.
- 38:42Speaker 4: And so yeah, I was a little hard on myself
- 38:45Speaker 4: for a little bit, and then I kind of realized
- 38:48Speaker 4: it was what it was, and I kind of leaned
- 38:50Speaker 4: into the fact that I had some freedom that I
- 38:52Speaker 4: hadn't had.
- 38:53Speaker 1: I became a soccer dad.
- 38:56Speaker 4: I was driving my kids around to practices and getting
- 38:59Speaker 4: time with them that I hadn't had. So I I,
- 39:02Speaker 4: once I got out of my funk, I actually utilized
- 39:05Speaker 4: it to be a great experience. But mentally, it's really
- 39:09Speaker 4: tough when you're that far into your career and you
- 39:11Speaker 4: don't know how other people are going to view that,
- 39:14Speaker 4: and and and so.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I had to fight through that.
- 39:19Speaker 3: And how does psychologically your wife becomes the breadwinner now, right,
- 39:24Speaker 3: because now you're not working. Was that tough or was
- 39:27Speaker 3: it was? She more like, don't worry about it. I
- 39:30Speaker 3: got it from here for right now.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:32Speaker 4: Her her goal has been for the last little bit
- 39:35Speaker 4: was I'm going to retire you justin I'm going to
- 39:37Speaker 4: get you out of I'm going to get you out
- 39:39Speaker 4: of corporate, bring you home, I'll let you take care
- 39:42Speaker 4: of the kids, and I'm going to go to work.
- 39:44Speaker 4: I mean, that was That's kind of been her her thing.
- 39:47Speaker 4: And when you know her determination, you realize Whitney gets
- 39:51Speaker 4: what she wants pretty much, you know, all the time.
- 39:54Speaker 4: And but but there was that dynamic does shift a
- 39:58Speaker 4: little bit, and it I think it messes with men
- 40:01Speaker 4: probably more than it does women. And I was getting
- 40:05Speaker 4: paid that no one compete did come with the fact
- 40:09Speaker 4: that I was still getting paid, But it didn't come
- 40:11Speaker 4: with what's next.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Right right, So.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Wow, that's It's an awesome share man. That that was
- 40:18Speaker 3: a good story there.
- 40:20Speaker 4: I still I still can't believe we went through. She
- 40:23Speaker 4: feels guilty even today. She feels like, oh my gosh,
- 40:26Speaker 4: I'm like, no, you put us where we are now
- 40:29Speaker 4: and we're we're definitely in a better place with better
- 40:31Speaker 4: people and.
- 40:33Speaker 2: So, but it also didn't it give you some time
- 40:36Speaker 2: to help Whitney with her business. I mean, your skills
- 40:39Speaker 2: are obviously universal and you can do a lot with
- 40:43Speaker 2: various companies.
- 40:44Speaker 1: And I tried. I tried really hard.
- 40:47Speaker 4: So Whitney her her wild Roast Beauty at the time
- 40:50Speaker 4: was e commerce, and network marketing is completely different from
- 40:54Speaker 4: e commerce. But I tried to dive in as much
- 40:57Speaker 4: as I could, and there was some frustration because she
- 40:59Speaker 4: would it well. I thought this was like the perfect
- 41:02Speaker 4: time for you to come in and kind of take
- 41:03Speaker 4: over for wild Rose Beauty and to do and I'm like,
- 41:06Speaker 4: I'll do what I can, but like, I don't do
- 41:09Speaker 4: a lot of the things you are trying to accomplish
- 41:12Speaker 4: right now.
- 41:12Speaker 1: And so.
- 41:14Speaker 4: The fact that the things have evolved the way they have,
- 41:18Speaker 4: we are actually in business together now with her with
- 41:22Speaker 4: their skincare. So, but at that time, she was really
- 41:26Speaker 4: trying to get me to move into a different industry space.
- 41:31Speaker 1: And I feel like, after thirty something years, I got
- 41:34Speaker 1: one trick.
- 41:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, same with me.
- 41:38Speaker 2: You're really good at it. You got to keep doing.
- 41:40Speaker 3: One pony when it comes to that too.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess I would consider that a positive experience,
- 41:48Speaker 2: you know what I mean. Yeah, it's it's even though
- 41:51Speaker 2: you had some adverse reactions and obviously got fired from
- 41:54Speaker 2: your job, I still think that was a positive experience.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Can you share with us a negative experience you've had
- 42:01Speaker 2: on the show that you either regret or wish you
- 42:04Speaker 2: never had participated in or anything.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Well, we can't really talk about season five. Let me
- 42:09Speaker 1: think one.
- 42:11Speaker 4: Through four, you know what outside of that I mean,
- 42:16Speaker 4: and that's not even a regret. I mean, obviously, what
- 42:19Speaker 4: was going through my head when we were doing the
- 42:21Speaker 4: Love is Art scene was I have two options here,
- 42:23Speaker 4: I back out and just refuse to do this and
- 42:27Speaker 4: make my wife look foolish, right.
- 42:29Speaker 2: And they'll show it, and they'll show it that way, you.
- 42:32Speaker 4: Will show it that way, I'll look so so that's
- 42:36Speaker 4: why I kind of just, you know, really just went
- 42:40Speaker 4: with it. But and it's not it's definitely isn't a regret.
- 42:43Speaker 4: And we try to, you know, live our life around
- 42:47Speaker 4: the fact that, hey, you know, even even when we
- 42:50Speaker 4: have things that we aren't super proud of that we've done,
- 42:55Speaker 4: let's learn from the situation and let's grow from the situation,
- 42:58Speaker 4: so we don't have to look back and say, oh
- 43:00Speaker 4: my gosh, that ruined this aspect of my life or
- 43:03Speaker 4: this just let's learn from our mistakes.
- 43:05Speaker 1: And move on. But I don't have a lot. I
- 43:08Speaker 1: feel like I navigated.
- 43:10Speaker 4: The first few seasons as good as I could, standing
- 43:14Speaker 4: in a lot of corners and a lot.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Of different I always did behind the camera.
- 43:20Speaker 1: By the camera is a great place due.
- 43:24Speaker 2: They can't catch me here.
- 43:26Speaker 4: Yeah, So no real negative experience. I mean, the only
- 43:29Speaker 4: negative experience is really when you see your wife in
- 43:33Speaker 4: a certain place as a result of something with the show,
- 43:36Speaker 4: and it's usually more about the hate that she's read
- 43:40Speaker 4: or something being done. And people ask me all the time,
- 43:44Speaker 4: like how different is it from real life? And I'm like, well,
- 43:47Speaker 4: it's the same, but your highs are higher and your
- 43:50Speaker 4: lows are lower, because like, normally you wouldn't have the
- 43:53Speaker 4: reaction that you have.
- 43:54Speaker 1: When you're reading, you know, some ridiculous post online.
- 43:58Speaker 4: But they can't can get really really low when people
- 44:02Speaker 4: are just you know, not good human beings.
- 44:06Speaker 2: For what it's worth, it still happens with Tamra. We
- 44:09Speaker 2: just you know, started the show for the Orange County
- 44:12Speaker 2: season and she's going through that again. You know, it's
- 44:15Speaker 2: like reading emotions. Yeah, and you know she's not happy
- 44:20Speaker 2: about the way they edit it, and you know, like, babe,
- 44:23Speaker 2: we've been doing this long enough. They you can't control
- 44:26Speaker 2: what they air and you really don't know the story
- 44:28Speaker 2: they're trying to tell, so you just have to watch it.
- 44:31Speaker 2: But it still affects her. Still hard, No, that's still
- 44:34Speaker 2: really really hard for her. Yeah.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I mean it's easy for me to be like Whitney stopped.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Looking yeah, yeah, yeah, and.
- 44:40Speaker 1: You know what, she does a really good job for
- 44:42Speaker 1: a long time. Yeah, back you now.
- 44:45Speaker 4: But once you put your toe into it, you do,
- 44:48Speaker 4: you kind of jump right back in. And I can
- 44:50Speaker 4: tell the days that she's spent, you know, reading or
- 44:54Speaker 4: looking at things that are not the most positive. And
- 44:58Speaker 4: it's unfortunate because everything else is awesome, like when we
- 45:01Speaker 4: travel and when we go places. And they might be
- 45:06Speaker 4: the people that are posting miserable things online, but when
- 45:08Speaker 4: they greet you, they're amazing and they tell you, you know,
- 45:12Speaker 4: how much they appreciate what you've done. And especially with
- 45:15Speaker 4: Whitney for sharing her journey and the things she's gone through,
- 45:19Speaker 4: I can't tell you how many people have come up
- 45:21Speaker 4: to tell her how much that meant to them to
- 45:23Speaker 4: think that, hey, I'm not alone in this. I deal
- 45:26Speaker 4: with some of the same things that you were dealing with,
- 45:28Speaker 4: and I just really appreciate you bringing it out.
- 45:31Speaker 1: So yeah, that side of it is pretty awesome.
- 45:35Speaker 3: And justin with obviously Utah being a big LDS community.
- 45:40Speaker 3: When you and Whitney go out, do you see people
- 45:44Speaker 3: give you certain type of looks or is it mostly
- 45:47Speaker 3: friendly all the time? What's that dynamic like down there?
- 45:51Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what, it's mostly friendly.
- 45:53Speaker 4: Like people are really good and we're usually in places
- 45:56Speaker 4: like where those nasty looks. We're not in church anymore
- 46:01Speaker 4: that the LDS church with if we do, the church
- 46:05Speaker 4: is usually a non denominational church, so we don't get
- 46:08Speaker 4: those types of looks, which I'm sure.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Be cast at us. But but yeah, most people are
- 46:14Speaker 1: just so.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Gracious and good and and then others just yeah, if
- 46:18Speaker 4: if there's if there's an mixed energy or negative energy,
- 46:22Speaker 4: they usually don't even approach you. But we have had
- 46:24Speaker 4: a few people say weird things.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Oh really, Like I was gonna ask you what, I'd
- 46:30Speaker 2: never had anybody in person give us a negative experience
- 46:34Speaker 2: like that, you know, or say anything. I I probably
- 46:37Speaker 2: because I don't really look around enough, you know, I
- 46:40Speaker 2: just I don't pay attention to that negativity. But we
- 46:44Speaker 2: probably had had some ugly looks or you know, smirks
- 46:48Speaker 2: or faces, but I don't see them. And when I
- 46:50Speaker 2: don't see it doesn't affect.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Me, right, which is awesome.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Yeah, never ever has anybody come up to us and
- 46:56Speaker 2: said anything negative. It's only on social media.
- 46:59Speaker 4: Yeah, it's all social media is where it lives, and
- 47:01Speaker 4: so I should I should clarify. And it wasn't directed
- 47:05Speaker 4: at us personally. But we were on a cruise and
- 47:09Speaker 4: this just happened like three weeks ago. We were on
- 47:11Speaker 4: a cruise with the family. My kids are with a
- 47:14Speaker 4: bunch of friends. We traveled with some friends out there
- 47:16Speaker 4: and they were with a group of people and they
- 47:20Speaker 4: recognized Brooks, my youngest son, from the show and they
- 47:24Speaker 4: were like, oh, my gosh, you're Whitney's and he's like yeah,
- 47:29Speaker 4: and they're like, oh, we don't like Whitney.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Would you tell an eleven year old boy that?
- 47:35Speaker 4: Like it actually infuriated me and like, but but that's it's.
- 47:41Speaker 1: So rare that stuff like that happens it really is.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's rude.
- 47:46Speaker 3: It's crazy how many people lack just emotional intelligence, right, especially.
- 47:53Speaker 1: With the kid.
- 47:54Speaker 4: And it was like it was a grown lady expressing
- 47:57Speaker 4: her thoughts on it, and you know, yeah, just one
- 48:02Speaker 4: of those things that you you deal with.
- 48:04Speaker 1: But I I agree with you, Eddie. Most of it
- 48:06Speaker 1: is just positive.
- 48:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:09Speaker 3: You know what I do find something you said that
- 48:11Speaker 3: I find interesting and so true is how much corporate
- 48:16Speaker 3: people love to talk about the show.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Right, You would think they wouldn't because who watches it,
- 48:22Speaker 3: but like typically like their wives watch it or something,
- 48:25Speaker 3: and they just slept discussing what happens behind the scenes,
- 48:28Speaker 3: which is like entertaining.
- 48:31Speaker 4: When it's when it's when it's showing. Like I spend
- 48:34Speaker 4: the morning after the show airs, like in a full
- 48:39Speaker 4: conversation with a lot of the staff that I work with,
- 48:42Speaker 4: like answering questions and getting their opinions on things. And
- 48:46Speaker 4: of course they're very uh biased towards us and very
- 48:52Speaker 4: nice about like how things happen to us, so they're
- 48:54Speaker 4: definitely on our side.
- 48:55Speaker 1: But it does they they love, They love to jump
- 48:57Speaker 1: into it, get the details.
- 48:59Speaker 2: I have a neighbor a few houses down that somehow
- 49:04Speaker 2: found himself in Washington in a political event. Maybe it
- 49:07Speaker 2: was a charity event or something, but it was a
- 49:10Speaker 2: politician that was talking to him. And this is kind
- 49:13Speaker 2: of the general way that this happens. You know, everybody
- 49:17Speaker 2: thinks everybody who lives in Orange County knows each other.
- 49:19Speaker 2: So when he told him he lives in Orange County, like,
- 49:22Speaker 2: oh my god, do you know any of the housewives?
- 49:24Speaker 2: And he's like, well, it's funny, you ass it's my neighbor,
- 49:27Speaker 2: you know, And he felt like he just he texts us, furs,
- 49:32Speaker 2: is it okay if we can you know facetimey. So
- 49:35Speaker 2: this politician, you know, can you know say him like
- 49:39Speaker 2: a politician wants to talk to us. They watched the show.
- 49:44Speaker 5: I literally have been blown away by the people that
- 49:50Speaker 5: watch Bravo.
- 49:52Speaker 1: It surprises you of.
- 49:55Speaker 4: Like people that are like it does attract a very
- 49:59Speaker 4: very he sophisticated, high level of education things that you
- 50:04Speaker 4: would be like, well, that's not normal, like I thought
- 50:06Speaker 4: those people never watch TV, only.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Read books exactly, but it is.
- 50:11Speaker 4: It's a great checkout for people and when and those
- 50:14Speaker 4: are those are a lot of the people that do
- 50:16Speaker 4: approach us when we're traveling when we're sitting down on
- 50:19Speaker 4: a plane, you'll you'll get it, like, oh yeah, I'm
- 50:22Speaker 4: the assistant district attorney from so and so. Whitney sat
- 50:26Speaker 4: by quite a few lawyers that are just.
- 50:28Speaker 1: The biggest fans. Yeah, yeah, it does surprise you a
- 50:32Speaker 1: little bit.
- 50:32Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 50:33Speaker 3: Jen Shaw's husband, Yeah, yes, yes, talk to us about him.
- 50:39Speaker 4: Like I miss him, Like he was always a breath
- 50:43Speaker 4: of fresh air, Like he he was one of the
- 50:46Speaker 4: coolest guys, Like, and I only know him from the show.
- 50:50Speaker 4: Whitney and Jen met because of the show, and so
- 50:53Speaker 4: I was interviewed to him at some of our first events.
- 50:56Speaker 1: But he's the kind of guy that you.
- 50:57Speaker 4: Meet and you're like, oh my gosh, this could be
- 50:59Speaker 4: my next best friend, Like I love and he's so
- 51:03Speaker 4: he's a football coach for the of Utah And in
- 51:07Speaker 4: one of the reunions, I think it was the second reunion,
- 51:10Speaker 4: second or third reunion, he was he got we we
- 51:14Speaker 4: were in the room waiting for us to be called
- 51:17Speaker 4: in and he got a call from.
- 51:19Speaker 1: One of his.
- 51:21Speaker 4: Potential players and he was like, guys, are you okay
- 51:24Speaker 4: if I like this guy's this kid's parents are calling me,
- 51:28Speaker 4: are you Okay if I take this call in front.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Of you, and we were like, yeah, that's great.
- 51:33Speaker 4: So he takes his call and it was like I
- 51:36Speaker 4: was ready to go to the University of Utah and
- 51:37Speaker 4: play football by the time that company. It was the
- 51:41Speaker 4: most amazing thing ever, Like just the way he speaks,
- 51:45Speaker 4: the passion that comes from inside of him when he
- 51:49Speaker 4: gets really excited about what he's involved with. He did
- 51:52Speaker 4: actually end up recruiting that kid. It was one of
- 51:55Speaker 4: the kids from Texas that he didn't know if he
- 51:58Speaker 4: was going to commit to Utah, but he got.
- 52:00Speaker 1: But that's the type of guy he is.
- 52:02Speaker 4: He's just always so upbeat, so like really really one
- 52:08Speaker 4: of those people, you one of those unique people that
- 52:10Speaker 4: you meet that is just always on point.
- 52:12Speaker 3: And have you got to hang out with him since
- 52:15Speaker 3: jen Win in prison?
- 52:16Speaker 4: Well unfortunately not, Like that's that's one of the things
- 52:20Speaker 4: that comes when you meet someone in this process and
- 52:22Speaker 4: then something like I don't know how many people have
- 52:25Speaker 4: had to deal with something like this.
- 52:27Speaker 1: I know, you know, I've just wished him well.
- 52:30Speaker 4: Obviously, I'm sure looking back that this is probably something
- 52:34Speaker 4: painful that he has to, you know, not only live
- 52:37Speaker 4: through what he's living, through. But to watch it on
- 52:40Speaker 4: TV and to get everybody in America commenting on it
- 52:43Speaker 4: has got.
- 52:44Speaker 1: To be a really, really hard situation.
- 52:46Speaker 4: So I haven't had that opportunity and chance, and it
- 52:51Speaker 4: makes me sad because I do think the world of Sharif,
- 52:54Speaker 4: and you know, he has two amazing kids and one
- 52:57Speaker 4: that's still playing football right now.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Yeah, just I wish the best for him for sure.
- 53:03Speaker 2: Other than Sharif, is there another house husband that you
- 53:07Speaker 2: got along with and spend time without show.
- 53:10Speaker 4: Our husband like we I love everyone like I get along.
- 53:13Speaker 4: I get along with everyone. I don't know how well
- 53:15Speaker 4: you guys know Angie Cascaravis's husband, Sean.
- 53:18Speaker 2: He's one of spent Yeah, we spent some time with him.
- 53:21Speaker 4: Okay, one of the coolest guys, so low key, but
- 53:26Speaker 4: just just a great, great guy.
- 53:29Speaker 1: I've always got along with John, even when our wives
- 53:31Speaker 1: are not getting along.
- 53:32Speaker 4: We've always figured out how to navigate through that. And
- 53:36Speaker 4: then Seth is one of those people. Seth Marx is
- 53:38Speaker 4: one of those people that you just want to be around.
- 53:41Speaker 4: All he wants to do is talk about sports.
- 53:44Speaker 1: And that's kind of my kind of guy.
- 53:46Speaker 4: And and and the thing that we've been able to
- 53:50Speaker 4: do as husbands is really not participate. Like there's always
- 53:54Speaker 4: times that like Seth and I have to run into
- 53:56Speaker 4: each other when Meredith and Whitney aren't getting along great. Yeah,
- 54:00Speaker 4: we've been able to kind of understand that, Hey, that's
- 54:03Speaker 4: what it is.
- 54:04Speaker 1: I have no beef with you, you have no beef
- 54:06Speaker 1: with me.
- 54:07Speaker 4: I actually really enjoy spending time with with all the husbands.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Is there a husband on the on the Salt Lake
- 54:14Speaker 2: City Housewife Network or cast? I should say that gets
- 54:21Speaker 2: over involved like the sixth or seventh house Wife?
- 54:24Speaker 4: Uh I not not current well not current well yeah,
- 54:28Speaker 4: not currently currently. Dewey was kind of playing into that
- 54:33Speaker 4: role a little bit. I know that was earlier on
- 54:36Speaker 4: in the seasons, but uh yeah, that he was someone
- 54:39Speaker 4: that we the rest of us would kind of look
- 54:41Speaker 4: at each other like, hey, hey, this isn't about us,
- 54:44Speaker 4: this is about our lives.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Yes, get involved, don't get involved.
- 54:49Speaker 1: So he was thrusting himself in that limelight. But I don't.
- 54:54Speaker 4: I think the rest of us are are pretty satisfied
- 54:57Speaker 4: with our place, and uh yeah, for the most part,
- 55:01Speaker 4: they allow us to just spend time together when we
- 55:03Speaker 4: get together, and there's only a few times and season
- 55:08Speaker 4: five probably changes it a little bit. But there's only
- 55:11Speaker 4: a few times that there's anything but just really good
- 55:15Speaker 4: energy between.
- 55:16Speaker 1: All of us.
- 55:17Speaker 2: That's good to know. I mean, I've had only one
- 55:20Speaker 2: real friendship, but that was with David Badore. The entire
- 55:24Speaker 2: experience I've I mean, obviously I do enjoy Shane's Company's
- 55:29Speaker 2: he stays out of it as much as he loves
- 55:32Speaker 2: to watch the show and the reality TV show we
- 55:36Speaker 2: interviewed him. He was, he was phenomenal and just funny.
- 55:40Speaker 4: Or I hear about him and I've had the chance
- 55:42Speaker 4: to meet him, I hear great, great things.
- 55:44Speaker 2: He's a cool cat. But the rest of the people
- 55:46Speaker 2: as well, right, yes.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah about those Mormons, I don't know.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Yeah, And then you know we have Terry Debro, who's
- 55:54Speaker 2: really cool. You know, he knows how the TV world works.
- 55:57Speaker 2: He's got his own show, so yeah, very experience, very experienced,
- 56:01Speaker 2: and doesn't let it get to his head. But there's yeah,
- 56:05Speaker 2: there's been some guys like, dude, this is not about you,
- 56:09Speaker 2: it's not your show.
- 56:10Speaker 1: You might as well and you're like you're going to
- 56:11Speaker 1: find out that You're going.
- 56:12Speaker 2: To find out the wrong way.
- 56:15Speaker 5: Hard did you try I think, yeah when we uh,
- 56:21Speaker 5: they they they had us come together quite a bit
- 56:24Speaker 5: in the first few seasons, and I did.
- 56:26Speaker 4: We got a lot of hate online that we were
- 56:29Speaker 4: trying to be the Jersey husbands, and I'm.
- 56:31Speaker 1: Like, nobody's competing with Jersey.
- 56:32Speaker 4: Like, believe me, they got this thing down. We're not
- 56:36Speaker 4: trying to compete. We were just asked to come together.
- 56:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but I have found that it's difficult to have
- 56:43Speaker 2: a relationship, not just because when the girls are fighting,
- 56:46Speaker 2: you know, it's hard to navigate through that. You know,
- 56:48Speaker 2: it's it's it's weird. It's just weird to say, Okay,
- 56:52Speaker 2: we our wives aren't getting along, so how are we
- 56:54Speaker 2: going to get along? Right, unless you have a lot
- 56:56Speaker 2: in common and you're spending a lot of time together,
- 56:58Speaker 2: which I was with David. But it's still when when
- 57:01Speaker 2: he got divorced and he went off the show and
- 57:04Speaker 2: my wife was still backing up and Shannon with her divorce,
- 57:08Speaker 2: He's like, bro, I can't be friends with you if
- 57:10Speaker 2: your wife's gonna be talking shit on me, right, Like.
- 57:12Speaker 4: Yeah, that makes it, that does where it kind of
- 57:14Speaker 4: crosses the line, right, Yeah, start reading that hate like.
- 57:18Speaker 1: We all feel it and we all see it like that.
- 57:21Speaker 4: That is and and that's one thing that we've been
- 57:23Speaker 4: able to do as husbands is not participate.
- 57:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's why when we get together we're good.
- 57:29Speaker 4: But if Seth Mars was out there talking trash about
- 57:32Speaker 4: me in between, I'm not gonna want to see Seth
- 57:35Speaker 4: when we have something to do.
- 57:37Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it sounds like this season you got involved,
- 57:40Speaker 2: I got involved, And there's there's definitely it's.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Not a lot. And you know what, there's always hope
- 57:46Speaker 1: that it doesn't show.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Yeah, you know they're gonna show it.
- 57:53Speaker 3: Well, I'm gonna have to go back to season three
- 57:54Speaker 3: and watch that little that little clip of you and
- 57:57Speaker 3: and then I'm definitely gonna watch season five.
- 58:00Speaker 1: This is this is how we stay friends, is we
- 58:03Speaker 1: don't watch.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Great talking you justin. I appreciate you coming on. It's
- 58:11Speaker 2: always fun having fun husbands and and you know, share
- 58:14Speaker 2: their fun experience and you know, some of the tragic
- 58:16Speaker 2: ones that happened, we've all had them. But I appreciate
- 58:19Speaker 2: you coming on.
- 58:20Speaker 1: This is awesome love it appreciate you guys, Thanks so much.
- 58:24Speaker 2: Thank you.
