- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hey, this is Kent, host of the Daily Rider Podcast.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: I wanted to take a second to give you an update on a couple of quick things.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Number one is that for the next two weeks, we're taking a short sabbatical from the show.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Many of you have kids going back to school, and lots of people are getting in some last-minute vacation time before transitioning into fall mode.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: August is a really good time to take a breather and prepare for a great rest of the year.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: So that's exactly what we're doing over the next couple of weeks.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Now in the meantime, we have well over a thousand episodes of the podcast that we've produced over the last number of years.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: So there's plenty of material for you to listen to.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: If listening to the show is part of your daily routine, or even if you dip in and out of it occasionally, there's lots and lots of stuff for you to go back and check out.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: And, you know, occasionally I hear about people who have listened literally to every single episode of the Daily Rider Podcast, which number one blows me away, and number two, I'm super honored and grateful that people would spend that much time with the show.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: So if that describes you and you're one of those people, I would encourage you to go back and listen to some of those favorite episodes.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: I kind of work on the principle that if it's good enough to listen to once, it's probably good enough to listen to two or three times.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes you catch things on episodes that you didn't catch the first time.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: So go back and check out some of those favorites, and I think that will probably still be really helpful for you.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Now, update number two is that I want to give you a heads up that we are relaunching our daily writer club membership community at the end of the month to focus on writers who want to create a business around their writing.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: This is going to be called the Profitable Writer, and I'm super excited about this membership that's going to help you create income around what you love to do the most, which is, of course, writing.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Again, I'm super excited about the Profitable Rider, and I'll be sharing more info about that when we come back in a couple weeks.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Now, finally, update number three is that this coming Wednesday on August the 9th at 7 p.m., I'm hosting an event for New York Times best-selling author John David Mann at the Daniel Boone branch of the St.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Louis County Library.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: John and I will be in conversation about his latest thriller, Blind Fear, which he co-authored with Brandon Webb.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: There's a link in the show notes to the event page on the St.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Louis County Library website if you'd like more info.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: So if you're in the St.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Louis area and you don't have plans for this coming Wednesday at 7 p.m., come on out and I'd love to see you come and support John and grab a copy of his book and hear our conversation about his writing process in the book and about lots and lots of other things.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: John has been a podcast guest several times here on the show.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: He's a phenomenal writer and a really great guy.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: So if you possibly can, come out and let's support John and make this event a really fun success.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Hey, my friend, as always, thanks so much for your support, and I will see you when we come back on Monday, August the 21st.
