- 1:59Speaker 1: Well, first up, we will share that Grand Final with you and also why I went through it.
- 2:04Speaker 1: So, before we get to those games, it's um, I I spoke to it's like the one I guess we've had on the show chris cox.
- 2:12Speaker 1: It's in kenilworth football club's head coach and messaged me during the week about me being available to come to this best and fairest for the inclusive league and it was on the day of the grand final.
- 2:25Speaker 1: It's fantastic more than ever over 200 and almost 315 participations over eight teams.
- 2:34Speaker 1: And first up, well done to gilbert winning the partnership by one, all over my one point margin, playing in that grand final.
- 2:43Speaker 1: You know it was anyone's to win it.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And congratulations to the top two presentations in the best and fairest for the league Meshie Greenwood, his first up, Well done on a sensational career and playing for Aberdeen.
- 2:57Speaker 1: And as well, brad Kimmoss, the Kenneweth best player of all time.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 3:04Speaker 1: But while I'm here, I'm going to share the reserves up.
- 3:07Speaker 1: So I would like to give the congratulations to the reserves of Glenelg Tigers over Sturt Devil Blues.
- 3:14Speaker 1: You're playing it stronger, you're better, sturt.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Congratulations on making that grand final.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I thought you had it.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I thought you wanted to get that revenge back but couldn't get the win.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Final score I will share here on my screen 13-9, 87-9, 862.
- 3:29Speaker 1: So it was all Glen Elf in the very top and finished off very, very strong.
- 3:33Speaker 1: So, like I said, it was not over.
- 3:37Speaker 1: It really wasn't over until the final game and yeah.
- 3:42Speaker 1: But we come to the league and this changed the levels of overall and I would like to congratulate and just start claiming there, punishing Glowy, defeating Glenelg 16-9, 105, defeat 11-8, 74.
- 3:56Speaker 1: A massive win.
- 3:58Speaker 1: It was a 31-point victory and overall I am a North supporter, as you know.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I will share that so many times here on the podcast and I'm more proud to present that sturt were the best team.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I went and I'm going to review my four each and every quarter.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Glennell came out on top.
- 4:16Speaker 1: They wanted they.
- 4:17Speaker 1: It was a really sloppy start.
- 4:19Speaker 1: There were lots of nerves going through that first quarter and glennell got the opening goal.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Then sturt came away with the last three goals and it happened again.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Sturt came out on top early with King free goals.
- 4:32Speaker 1: And again Glenelg couldn't find the footy.
- 4:34Speaker 1: They could not find it.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Sturt really holed up their ground and it was the third quarter Said goodbye.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Lots of goals.
- 4:41Speaker 1: It was seven goals to four, so 11 goal, two for the quarter, 68 points.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Absolutely amazing that you can put 68 points, 11 goals overall between Glendale.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Glendale just couldn't find it.
- 4:58Speaker 1: That was their best quarter and a matter of five in the last quarter.
- 5:01Speaker 1: This wasn't enough and it was three, five in the last quarter.
- 5:08Speaker 1: This wasn't enough and it was.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Sturt was free.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So overall it was a nine goals, four for Glenelg and 10 goals free.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Very even.
- 5:13Speaker 1: It was very even quarter.
- 5:13Speaker 1: But Glenelg won the second, uh, fourth quarter and Sturt won the third.
- 5:18Speaker 1: So to make out of five goals to seven, in front of sturt.
- 5:23Speaker 1: But I've said that my best on ground and I want to share this fella it.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I have one, and only if you have not yet listened to my, my, my best player.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Go and check that out.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I won't say too much on this one, but the crotchet, like sturt glennell heads up, been a medical team all year.
- 5:41Speaker 1: You know which was nord and and Central and Adelaide in the top five.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You know anyone can win it, but you know I would like to quote the legend, the Stern in the league.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Well, they're going to reserve Stern in the under-18s Some pretty good celebrations for the year and under-16s for West Adelaide and early in the year South Adelaide Panthers.
- 6:01Speaker 1: So I'm going to wrap it up here from this point of view.
- 6:08Speaker 1: But now we do come to a series, business final series for the afl, the pre-pandemic finals.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Let's get strung to it.
- 6:11Speaker 1: First up, friday night football, and it's good to see friday night football in and at the mcg.
- 6:17Speaker 1: First up it's the geelong cap.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Sexy geelong cap.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Go head to head over to the Hawthorne Hawks and like almost 100,000.
- 6:25Speaker 1: And that is so good to see.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Footy is back and it feels like Geelong had that week off and ready to take on the Hawthorns.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Hawthorn had to play GDS Giants in Western Sydney.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Head to Adelaide.
- 6:37Speaker 1: They're taking the LA Crows.
- 6:39Speaker 1: The same thing will happen 12 months against Port Adelaide and they've got the job done, very comfortable, and then right on with taking on Geelong.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I think Hawthorn started the right they did, but once again they just went really flat and they really did not find a way to win the game.
- 6:56Speaker 1: And congratulations to Hawthorne, 10 years in the making and the Sam Smith since Alison Clarkson days making it to the plenty final in 10 seasons.
- 7:05Speaker 1: So since, like I said, sam Mitchell first time, be incredible proud of what you achieve all year, hawthorne.
- 7:13Speaker 1: But well done to Geelong Cats going through yet another grand final.
- 7:18Speaker 1: There will be their 20th grand final and will be about four to fifth under Chris Scott, which is so great Hawthorne heads up.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Well done on your season and it wasn't a season to see it all come out.
- 7:32Speaker 1: All the best in the off season Final score 17-15.
- 7:35Speaker 1: 17-13, 1-15.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Defeated.
- 7:41Speaker 1: All to come out.
- 7:42Speaker 1: All the best in the offseason final score 17, 15, 17, 13, 115 defeated, 13, 7, 85.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Here's my thoughts for the game and here it is.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Hawthorne came out on top as a man against Adelaide and the opening quarter they did against Geelong.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Then the second quarter it was all Geelong and not just down, but hard work, harder to get the win into half time.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Hawthorne was not going to give anything to Geelong.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I am now going to do something a little bit different and fun, nothing too serious, out on the podcast.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I'm doing three best players.
- 8:10Speaker 1: So these three players are six total, three from each club, from Geelong and Hawthorne.
- 8:16Speaker 1: So I'm going to do like I normally do and I'll give you a reason why I gave these players.
- 8:21Speaker 1: You can't just get a winner, you should do both.
- 8:23Speaker 1: And first, up from the first, out of the top three of the best Hawthorne players are Dylan Moore from Hawthorne.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Well done on yet another great season Including, for this game, 26 disposals, 4 marks, 6 tackles, 1 goal, 106 A for Fancy, 59% defensive half, 41% forward half, 7 score involvement, 1 goal assist and 442 metres game with a 14 centre-bound attendance with 3 clearances.
- 8:49Speaker 1: A player that you know had to step up so much was no day in the side due to injury.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Once again Not the side in that sandwich.
- 8:58Speaker 1: If he was playing Hawthorne will actually make the grand final, so makes a big effort.
- 9:02Speaker 1: But well done on another season from Dylan Moore Head start.
- 9:06Speaker 1: All the best.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Preseason, go well and see you next season.
- 9:09Speaker 1: We come to Monk Ka-Chal from Hawthorne Another great season for this game.

- 10:03Speaker 1: We now come to Geelong's best three players Same routine, same thing, but we do continue on with the show.

- 11:34Speaker 1: We're still in Melbournebourne.
- 11:36Speaker 1: What a game.
- 11:36Speaker 1: This was well done to john claiming spot in the 2025 toroda grand vinyl.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Now this is it.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Well, like I said, what a game this was and I think last time I shared that I did say connorwood to win this game, but they'll take on brisbane lions and to yet another grand final.
- 11:55Speaker 1: They're set to eat john on cat.
- 11:57Speaker 1: My thoughts for this game from conningwood and brisbane.
- 12:00Speaker 1: These two meet at the mcg back in 2023, conningwood taking the ring as the plenty is.
- 12:06Speaker 1: As I said, what a game.
- 12:08Speaker 1: It was.
- 12:08Speaker 1: A solid out crowd.
- 12:09Speaker 1: The crowd was great.
- 12:11Speaker 1: The black and white army take on the brown and gold.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Didn't see a lot of this game but did saw the last quarter and, by goodness, one of the best last quarters I've seen in a final series by geelong under chris fagan and chris fagan.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Yes, another grand final.
- 12:28Speaker 1: As head coach, congratulations.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Can brisbane go back to back?
- 12:31Speaker 1: Big task, big challenge for the Brisbane Lions against Geelong, going to be the.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Cannot wait to see the two best teams go head-to-head at the MCG in the last day in September, but before we get deeply into it.
- 12:45Speaker 1: But well done to Conor on another great season You've seen not enough for two clubs but not enough in overall.
- 12:51Speaker 1: But I think be proud of what you've done and you know Darcy Moore, be the captain, be the proud moment.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Fair luck, all the best in the off-season.
- 13:01Speaker 1: But now I'm going to do the sake of say like I'm going to do the same thing like the Geelong and Hawthorne game.
- 13:06Speaker 1: We're going to do the same thing like the first game, as a matter of way of saying it the three best players with each team, starting off with Croningwood.
- 13:15Speaker 1: First up, darcy Cameron, well done on your game performance With include 35 hit outs, 15 disposals, 5 marks With 5 tackles, 104 for fan city 60% defensive half, 40% forward half.

- 14:13Speaker 1: So Gianni Elliott, the mark of the round, the mark of the final series.
- 14:17Speaker 1: If this was a premiership season, he'll dominate it as my mark nominee.
- 14:21Speaker 1: But Jenny Elliott from Croninwood, the forward star 16 disposals, eight marks, four tackles, four goals, 103 A for fantasy, 100% in the forward half, no defensive half work, five score involvements.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Well done on another game performance, jenny Elliott, and another great season.
- 14:38Speaker 1: We now come to the team where we cannot wait to see them take on Drew.

- 14:49Speaker 1: 11-5, 71.
- 14:51Speaker 1: So pretty well-accuracy, but it's all Geelong in double accuracy, brisbane.
