Latest / Ross and Rizzo Unfiltered / World Series Game 3 REACTION: Brewers BLOW OUT Rays, 1 WIN AWAY from SWEEPING Tampa | Ross & Rizzo
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: The Milwaukee Brewers are one win away from winning the
- 0:03Speaker 1: World Series. Childhood dreams coming true. Fan dreams coming true. Ownership,
- 0:09Speaker 1: the entire organization, are one win away. Welcome back to
- 0:13Speaker 1: another episode of Ross and Rizzo Unfiltered. I'm Anthony Rizzo
- 0:17Speaker 1: with my partner, David Ross. Rossi, first game, first World
- 0:24Speaker 1: Series game at the Trops since 2009. And it was
- 0:27Speaker 1: a flop, unfortunately, for the Rays, losing 10-1 to the
- 0:31Speaker 1: Milwaukee Brewers. Rossi, is this year's Brewers runs one of
- 0:36Speaker 1: the greatest playoff runs of all time? It has to be.
- 0:39Speaker 1: They're 10-1 in the playoffs so far. If they win
- 0:41Speaker 1: tomorrow and they go 11-1 in the playoffs to win
- 0:44Speaker 1: the World Series, there's only two other teams to do that,
- 0:46Speaker 1: the 05 White Sox and the 99 Yankees. Rossi, one
- 0:51Speaker 1: more nugget. They've lost one game in the last 34 days.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Wow, I wish I would have had that on TV today.
- 1:01Speaker 2: My colleague, Tim Kirchhen, not my partner, but my colleague,
- 1:06Speaker 2: Tim Kirchhen, did a breakdown of some of the greatest
- 1:10Speaker 2: teams ever, and it had a lot to do with
- 1:13Speaker 2: their regular season win total, right? Brewers won 103 games,
- 1:18Speaker 2: and their postseason run, and if it ended up in
- 1:21Speaker 2: a sweep, and he had the Brewers at number five
- 1:24Speaker 2: as maybe one of the most dominant seasons in if
- 1:28Speaker 2: they win tomorrow of all time. I think he had
- 1:30Speaker 2: the Yankees, the A's were in there. Too many stats
- 1:34Speaker 2: to remember, but they are on a run. They are
- 1:37Speaker 2: as dominant of a team that I've seen in a
- 1:40Speaker 2: long time. Just, again, led the season in wins and
- 1:44Speaker 2: now just rolling through the postseason, losing one game. And, bro,
- 1:50Speaker 2: let me start you off with a little stats that
- 1:52Speaker 2: I've figured out today. My other colleague, not my partner,
- 1:56Speaker 2: Buster Olney, gave me opposing starting pitching against the Brewers.
- 2:02Speaker 2: 11 starts, only 46 and a third innings, a 5-6-3 ERA,
- 2:09Speaker 2: and only one of those starters of the 11 has
- 2:12Speaker 2: gotten an out in the sixth inning. Let me list
- 2:15Speaker 2: off this little list for you. Robbie Ray, Michael King, Pavetta,
- 2:21Speaker 2: Walker Bueller, a guy by the name of Tarek Skubal,
- 2:25Speaker 2: heard of him? Snell, Yamamoto, Glasnow, Nick Martinez, Rasmussen, and
- 2:32Speaker 2: now Peralta. Is that good? Is that a good? Like,
- 2:36Speaker 2: we're talking about starting pitchers and, like, well, they didn't
- 2:41Speaker 2: do this. No, the Brewers are just dominating everybody. It
- 2:44Speaker 2: doesn't matter who you throw out there. There's 11 guys
- 2:46Speaker 2: that anybody would take on their staff, and they have
- 2:49Speaker 2: put a beat down on them. Only one of those
- 2:51Speaker 2: guys got out in the six. Like, they've been dominant, bro. Yeah.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Dominant. I mean, that's why.
- 2:57Speaker 2: And I know we talk about the bullpen so much
- 2:59Speaker 2: for the Brewers, but this lineup's not getting enough credit.
- 3:03Speaker 1: No doubt. This lineup's not getting enough. They grind at bats, man.
- 3:07Speaker 1: That's their success all year. Contact first, power second, good
- 3:12Speaker 1: at bats, keep the line moving. That's what they do.
- 3:15Speaker 1: So what's crazy about that too, Rossi, is you said
- 3:20Speaker 1: only one of those starters got out in the sixth.
- 3:24Speaker 2: I believe.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Only one of the Brewer starters has gotten it out
- 3:27Speaker 1: in the sixth as well. And that's not the winning
- 3:30Speaker 1: formula for success. You know what I mean? No doubt.
- 3:34Speaker 2: No doubt.
- 3:35Speaker 1: They're just a complete team. Their starting pitching is not bad.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Their starting pitching is elite. Anchored by Miz. I mean, dude,
- 3:43Speaker 1: Gasser tonight.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Gasser.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Just dominant. Bobby Diesel.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Oh, we like to call him Bobby Deese. Yep. So.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Listen, that's the other one.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I was like, you know, I'm in there thinking, you know,
- 3:56Speaker 2: you don't want to get to the Brewers' bullpen, right,
- 3:58Speaker 2: is like a narrative you would create. So you want
- 4:01Speaker 2: to jump on them early, jump on the starter, blah, blah, blah. But, like,
- 4:04Speaker 2: the Rays had so many first pitch outs. They had
- 4:07Speaker 2: 10 outs with four pitches or less tonight in his
- 4:11Speaker 2: six innings.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Which is, the Rays are a good, they grind out
- 4:14Speaker 1: at bats, too.
- 4:14Speaker 2: They ground out at bats, yeah, when they've got so
- 4:17Speaker 2: much contact. And there were some hard-to-hit balls early, for sure,
- 4:20Speaker 2: like right at, You know, Terang made some nice plays.
- 4:22Speaker 1: How about those plays by Terang, dude? Wow. He made
- 4:26Speaker 1: those plays look easy, bro. I'm like, God damn.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's– Gasser only threw 75 pitches
- 4:34Speaker 2: through six innings. Like, just as clean as you can get.
- 4:37Speaker 2: And I'm watching this, and I'm like– especially when they scored.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I mean, we'll get into the fifth inning. But when
- 4:43Speaker 2: they scored that many runs, I'm like freaking– Bobby Deese
- 4:48Speaker 2: is gonna go he's gonna go seven is in my
- 4:51Speaker 2: in my head and I'm like now that bullpen's completely
- 4:54Speaker 2: rested for whatever else is next like you're seeing though
- 4:57Speaker 2: the horses for the rest of this series like they're
- 5:00Speaker 2: gonna be completely rested with the off day in the
- 5:01Speaker 2: middle so no matter what happens they're sitting in the
- 5:04Speaker 2: driver's seat we know that already but to not get
- 5:07Speaker 2: to any of those guys in the back end of
- 5:08Speaker 2: the bullpen guys um is is a huge huge deal
- 5:12Speaker 2: in this whole thing and Milwaukee sitting in the driver's seat.
- 5:16Speaker 2: But our guy Brandon Woodruff closes out tonight. There's moments
- 5:21Speaker 2: that you're happy for players like Yelly we talked about
- 5:24Speaker 2: in this postseason getting to his World Series. And we
- 5:28Speaker 2: had Woodruff on the set today and he couldn't have
- 5:30Speaker 2: said more nicer things about all his teammates and all
- 5:32Speaker 2: that stuff. I'm a big fan of that guy. He's
- 5:36Speaker 2: a family man. He talked about Peralta. It was cool
- 5:39Speaker 2: to see somebody like that. I got to catch Ryan
- 5:42Speaker 2: Dempster closed.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Out a game in Boston. That's exactly what I thought of.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. It just reminded me of that. And he
- 5:49Speaker 2: gave up a run. And, you know, typical Dempsey's like,
- 5:52Speaker 2: of course I had to give up a run. How
- 5:53Speaker 2: would they know I pitched in the World Series since
- 5:55Speaker 2: I had an ERA? You know, that's Demp.
- 5:58Speaker 1: That's a great line right there.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Absolute bomb from Matt Holliday, I will add.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Hey, how were the scenes there at the Trop?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Man, this place. Let me tell you something. A lot
- 6:08Speaker 2: of Burns fans. Brewer fans travel. Brewer fans travel. It
- 6:10Speaker 2: was loud. I think it was like 60-40, bro.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Yeah, this whole small market narrative up there in Wisconsin is,
- 6:20Speaker 1: I mean, these fans are hyped. I mean, but you
- 6:22Speaker 1: could tell, like, that's how they are with the Packers.
- 6:24Speaker 1: They all own the Packers in Wisconsin, right? You have
- 6:26Speaker 1: a little piece that, like, so their team being in there,
- 6:29Speaker 1: you saw when the Bucs won a few years ago,
- 6:31Speaker 1: probably five years ago now, if that. But, man, these
- 6:35Speaker 1: fans have showed out. Impressive. Impressive.
- 6:38Speaker 2: There's something about the warm summer air and a cold
- 6:40Speaker 2: corona with lime that makes the roar of the crowd
- 6:43Speaker 2: sound a lot like the roar of the waves.
- 6:45Speaker 1: That's because this is our playa, and the best seats
- 6:47Speaker 1: are always wherever you're sitting.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Whether it's a weeknight game under the lights or a
- 6:51Speaker 2: Sunday afternoon in the sun, you know baseball isn't about
- 6:54Speaker 2: rushing around. It's about settling in, letting the game come
- 6:58Speaker 2: to you. And nothing pairs better than an ice-cold corona. Nothing.
- 7:03Speaker 1: So find your seat, your corona, and your lime. because
- 7:07Speaker 1: real fans know the only thing better than nine innings
- 7:10Speaker 1: is extra innings, especially on La Playa.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Corona.
- 7:15Speaker 1: La Playa awaits.
- 7:17Speaker 2: The official cerveza of Major League Baseball. Get yours at
- 7:20Speaker 2: ordercorona.com for 21 plus, relax responsibly. Corona Extra Beer, imported
- 7:27Speaker 2: by Crown Imports, Chicago, Illinois. What's up, guys? I need
- 7:31Speaker 2: to tell you about this new prediction market called Polymarket.
- 7:34Speaker 2: It's the best new way to trade in sports. In
- 7:36Speaker 2: the past, if you wanted action on the game, you
- 7:39Speaker 2: put some money in, and if your team was doing
- 7:41Speaker 2: well and you wanted to cash out, they'd lock the
- 7:43Speaker 2: trade and take a huge fee. But Polymarket is a
- 7:46Speaker 2: prediction market. It's a stock exchange for sports, buying in
- 7:50Speaker 2: and selling out on your terms. I've tried them all,
- 7:52Speaker 2: and Polymarket is simply the best prediction market. Better than DraftKings, FanDuel, Kalshi,
- 7:58Speaker 2: you name it. They're so confident you'll never go back
- 8:01Speaker 2: to the other guys. They're giving you a free $ 25
- 8:03Speaker 2: on your first trade when you deposit just $ 10. And
- 8:06Speaker 2: now they've launched a new feature, Squads, a group chat
- 8:09Speaker 2: where you can see what everyone is trading. So download
- 8:12Speaker 2: the Polymarket app today and use the code ROSSRIZZO when
- 8:15Speaker 2: you sign up. That's code ROSSRIZZO and get $ 25 free
- 8:20Speaker 2: after you deposit just $ 10. I met a guy at
- 8:22Speaker 2: the bar last night, which is a cool little hotel.
- 8:25Speaker 2: We're staying over here at St. Pete Beach. And he
- 8:26Speaker 2: told me, I think tickets, I'm going to misquote it,
- 8:31Speaker 2: but the tickets were going for crazy numbers in Milwaukee.
- 8:34Speaker 2: And He was able to buy tickets down here, hotel room,
- 8:39Speaker 2: and flight for cheaper than he could have bought them
- 8:41Speaker 2: in Milwaukee. So everybody jumped on board with that. There's
- 8:44Speaker 2: Brewer stuff all over St. Pete Beach where I'm staying
- 8:48Speaker 2: and all over the town. They're in full force.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it's this. I mean, I just saw stuff online
- 8:54Speaker 1: about people taking their kids to the game and just
- 8:57Speaker 1: the memories, the lifelong memories the World Series brings. And
- 9:02Speaker 1: with it being... a first-time winner here if the Rays
- 9:05Speaker 1: win or the Brewers win. Like, these memories for these families, moms, dads, kids, aunts, uncles,
- 9:11Speaker 1: everyone is just absolutely incredible. So, really cool. Really cool.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Really exciting for the city of St. Pete, right? Especially
- 9:19Speaker 1: last year, a year ago, they don't even have a stadium. So,
- 9:23Speaker 1: one year later, to be back in the Trop, playing,
- 9:27Speaker 1: hosting a World Series game. Hopefully, the Rays can extend
- 9:29Speaker 1: this a little bit, but it's hard not to almost
- 9:34Speaker 1: root for this dominant stretch i mean bro you said
- 9:37Speaker 1: it rossi the starting pitching they face the padres were
- 9:41Speaker 1: the hottest team in baseball hands down.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Right right yep yep the dodgers i believe they they
- 9:49Speaker 2: swept the dodgers two times two times world series champs
- 9:53Speaker 2: no one.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Saw the dodgers getting swept right said that before they
- 9:57Speaker 1: lose one to san diego and then they come in
- 10:00Speaker 1: to a raised team that was battle-tested. They go down
- 10:02Speaker 1: 2-1 to the Guardians.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Best team in the American League.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Best team in the American League, and they're just putting
- 10:09Speaker 1: on a show versus them.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Remember the narrative of the layoff? Like, I thought that
- 10:13Speaker 2: was going to be a thing.
- 10:14Speaker 1: There's no narrative.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Yeah. It's crazy. They're locked in. No doubt, bro. No doubt.
- 10:21Speaker 2: No doubt. Well, let's get to that game, man. The
- 10:23Speaker 2: eight-run fifth.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I mean, bro, all those runs. Two outs.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Two outs.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Most runs with two outs in World Series history. Is
- 10:34Speaker 1: that crazy? No home runs.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Bro, I think the whole thing. We talked about. We
- 10:43Speaker 2: saw last year how the World Series can be won
- 10:46Speaker 2: or lost by a game of inches, right? With kind
- 10:48Speaker 2: of Falefa, the play at the plate, right? Out by
- 10:51Speaker 2: just barely out. Maybe not the best secondary, but, you know, whatever.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I won't bury that guy. He doesn't need to be
- 10:58Speaker 2: catching strays. But Christian Yelich, his secondary. His secondary. Sorry.
- 11:08Speaker 2: His secondary first base, you could noticeably see he had
- 11:10Speaker 2: a big secondary and Kevin Yair Jr. makes a great play,
- 11:15Speaker 2: spins and turns and throws the second. I thought he
- 11:17Speaker 2: was going to throw the first with Contreras running. And
- 11:20Speaker 2: the hustle play from Yelich, bang, bang at second base.
- 11:23Speaker 2: He's safe. And eight runs later, they finally get out
- 11:27Speaker 2: of the inning.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Seven straight hits with two outs, Rossi. That's what makes
- 11:31Speaker 1: Christian Yelich a superstar in this game. He always does
- 11:34Speaker 1: those little things. That's why he's the captain. That's why
- 11:38Speaker 1: he's the captain. You're right.
- 11:39Speaker 2: That's right.
- 11:39Speaker 1: That's exactly why he's the captain.
- 11:41Speaker 2: And, and, and two, like, I mean, he drove in
- 11:43Speaker 2: the first run down with that staying inside. Like I
- 11:46Speaker 2: said to the guys, I was watching, I was like,
- 11:47Speaker 2: you know how many times I've caught behind Christian Yelich
- 11:49Speaker 2: and he's fisted a ball to left. Cause he stays
- 11:52Speaker 2: inside everything. Let's the ball travel. He had two of
- 11:55Speaker 2: those tonight, one for a big RBI early on, you know,
- 11:58Speaker 2: they go up to nothing. Contreras again to catchers rake.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Let's give a shout out. William Contreras has been so
- 12:05Speaker 2: impressive to me in this series with his Every pitcher
- 12:09Speaker 2: is talking about his leadership behind the plate when they
- 12:12Speaker 2: get in front of a microphone and the blocking, the challenges.
- 12:16Speaker 2: He's doing a phenomenal job with all the challenges. He's just,
- 12:20Speaker 2: you know, if he's not World Series MVP, maybe he
- 12:22Speaker 2: goes to Cheerio because he freaking had four hits by
- 12:25Speaker 2: the fifth inning today. But, you know, he's just having a–
- 12:31Speaker 2: it seems like every time he comes up, he does
- 12:33Speaker 2: something special. Yeah. He was a part of that big
- 12:36Speaker 2: inning and eight runs. And then they just jumped on him, right?
- 12:41Speaker 2: Like first pitches. They've got more hits. The Brewers offense
- 12:45Speaker 2: have more hits up the middle the other way than
- 12:47Speaker 2: they do to the pool side.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, that's just a complete winning formula. You
- 12:53Speaker 1: know who I'm a big fan of, and maybe we
- 12:55Speaker 1: can get him on the program here, is Daniel Vogelbach.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I mean, the way he's been speaking of, mindset over
- 13:03Speaker 1: mechanics and just having a plan and an approach and
- 13:06Speaker 1: going up there, that's hitting right there.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I talked to him and Jason Lane before the game
- 13:12Speaker 2: at length, and he's just like, Boog had a stat
- 13:15Speaker 2: while we were sitting there talking about they've got more
- 13:17Speaker 2: end zone swings than during the regular season. They're extremely
- 13:20Speaker 2: more aggressive end zone. And he's like, we're trying to
- 13:22Speaker 2: limit the balls on the edges, so we're looking middle
- 13:26Speaker 2: and trying to get off our end swing. And they're
- 13:28Speaker 2: not scared to hit with two strikes. You know, even
- 13:31Speaker 2: the young guys, you know, Cooper Pratt, willing to take balls,
- 13:34Speaker 2: get Freddie Peralta's pitch count up. I said to somebody,
- 13:38Speaker 2: because Schwarber told me, I was like, man, you win
- 13:40Speaker 2: the World Series as a rookie, it's all downhill from there, bro.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Because it's hard as hell to get to where they're
- 13:48Speaker 2: at and repeat that, to be in this environment, obviously,
- 13:52Speaker 2: on such a great team. But to do that throughout
- 13:54Speaker 2: your career is freaking tough to do. And Schwarber spoke
- 13:57Speaker 2: about it when we were talking one day. Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Well, Rossi, what about our Corona Playa of the game?
- 14:06Speaker 1: This is our Playa of the game. Corona's player of
- 14:08Speaker 1: the game. Jackson Churio, four for five. Rossi, two runs,
- 14:14Speaker 1: a stolen base. Youngest player to have four hits. A
- 14:17Speaker 1: four-hit game with a stolen base in World Series since
- 14:19Speaker 1: Ty Cobb in 1908. Cubs won the World Series that year.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Just a little nugget in there. I know this is
- 14:25Speaker 1: the Brewer Show, not the Cubs. But, man. cheerio bro
- 14:30Speaker 1: like just leading off ready to go base hit after.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Same thing too is like both side like he had
- 14:37Speaker 2: one ground ball find the hole to the left but
- 14:39Speaker 2: the other three were just driven middle the other way
- 14:42Speaker 2: and 22 years old bro like you know they were
- 14:45Speaker 2: talking about i remember you know when he first came
- 14:48Speaker 2: up and he signed the contract early and all that
- 14:50Speaker 2: stuff they knew they had a superstar on their hands
- 14:53Speaker 2: and he has done nothing but just live up to
- 14:57Speaker 2: every moment um He's been really impressive to me, man.
- 15:00Speaker 2: And I feel like we can go up and down
- 15:02Speaker 2: their lineup and talk about the guys. Sal Freilich is
- 15:05Speaker 2: just like we still love him. We love the way
- 15:07Speaker 2: he was. That play he made tonight going down. Tanner Simpson,
- 15:11Speaker 2: great play. Sal Freilich, great play. We've seen some really
- 15:14Speaker 2: good defensive plays tonight. Both two good defensive teams probably
- 15:19Speaker 2: hadn't played that way.
- 15:20Speaker 1: You know who this team reminds me of, this Brewers team?
- 15:24Speaker 1: It reminds me of the 2015 Kansas City Royals. Just contact, speed, pressure,
- 15:34Speaker 1: constant pressure.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Good bullpen.
- 15:36Speaker 1: They lost the year before in the World Series, and
- 15:38Speaker 1: they get back and win. Dominant bullpen. And what reminds
- 15:42Speaker 1: me of it is their fans. I know we spoke
- 15:44Speaker 1: on their fans, but their fans traveled. And I remember
- 15:47Speaker 1: years after that, those fans just traveling with that team
- 15:51Speaker 1: and rallying behind them. And it feels so similar how
- 15:55Speaker 1: all of Kansas City rallied around that 15 team and
- 15:58Speaker 1: how all of Wisconsin is rallying around the Brewers. So
- 16:03Speaker 1: just good vibes all around, and they have a chance
- 16:05Speaker 1: tomorrow to close it out and be World Series champions, Rossi.
- 16:11Speaker 2: World Series. I got a stat here that Kirkshin told me,
- 16:15Speaker 2: and our guy Chris Trans got it in here. Robert Gasser,
- 16:20Speaker 2: six innings, one hit, no earned runs through 75 pitches.
- 16:24Speaker 2: And first lefty to face the minimum through six in
- 16:28Speaker 2: World Series game history since, guess who, Sandy Koufax. We
- 16:33Speaker 2: got Sandy Koufax and Robert Gasser. Bro, he's thrown.
- 16:37Speaker 1: 15 innings, 15 innings this postseason. All three starts on
- 16:42Speaker 1: the road. He's given up one run. I mean, man,
- 16:46Speaker 1: when you think of the Milwaukee Brewers, you think of
- 16:48Speaker 1: Jacob Mizorowski, right?
- 16:50Speaker 2: Right.
- 16:51Speaker 1: People probably still think of Freddy Peralta, who pitched for
- 16:54Speaker 1: the Rays today. But good for him, man. Good for
- 16:59Speaker 1: these guys. Ashby, just these dudes making names for themselves
- 17:03Speaker 1: in this playoffs. They've been doing this all year, and
- 17:05Speaker 1: now on the national stage, they are getting their flowers,
- 17:09Speaker 1: which they so rightfully deserve, honestly. Rossi, the one bright
- 17:15Speaker 1: spot for the Rays. Not the one bright spot for
- 17:17Speaker 1: the Rays today. Is Chandler Simpson. That insane catch, bro.
- 17:23Speaker 1: You always say I run through a wall for that guy, Rossi.
- 17:27Speaker 1: He almost ran through a wall. No doubt. That was catchy.
- 17:32Speaker 1: When he caught that, I was like, ooh.
- 17:34Speaker 2: That was insane.
- 17:35Speaker 1: That was insane.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Well, that gets me to this Gold Glove Player of
- 17:40Speaker 2: the Week segment. It's brought to you by Blue Chew,
- 17:42Speaker 2: the number one brand for better sex. If you want
- 17:45Speaker 2: to perform like a champ, that's what I am, and
- 17:47Speaker 2: you are. Go to BlueStreet.com.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Isn't it champ in the 90s? Isn't that what you say?
- 17:54Speaker 2: Champ in the 90s. Look at this play, bro. Running
- 17:57Speaker 2: right into the wall. Listen, it's that time of year.
- 18:01Speaker 2: It's that time of year where you sacrifice your body
- 18:03Speaker 2: and your teammates expect nothing less. But to run that fast,
- 18:08Speaker 2: this ball is cutting away from him in this corner,
- 18:11Speaker 2: and this wall just jets out.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I don't know Chandler at all. But I wonder if
- 18:18Speaker 1: that was an angry catch because he overslid the bag
- 18:22Speaker 1: in the bottom of the first. So I wonder if
- 18:25Speaker 1: that was an angry, like, I'm catching this ball by
- 18:27Speaker 1: all means. But, yeah, man, that was– you could pinpoint
- 18:32Speaker 1: that as like, okay, maybe that's a little bit of
- 18:34Speaker 1: a rally for the Rays, right? How insane that was.
- 18:38Speaker 1: But this bird team is relentless, man. They're on the gas,
- 18:41Speaker 1: all gas. All gas, rooster. All gas. All gas. Rossi,
- 18:46Speaker 1: who wins this? Who wins? Who wins game four? Is
- 18:50Speaker 1: it over?
- 18:50Speaker 2: I'm so hot on my polymarket picks right now, so
- 18:54Speaker 2: hopefully my listeners that are listening go against me. But
- 18:59Speaker 2: I can't deny it any longer. I can't deny it.
- 19:01Speaker 2: My polymarket pick, we got raised 43% to the yes.
- 19:05Speaker 2: That should be like 2%. And $ 100 gets you $ 221.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Brewers are 57% to the yes. $ 100 gets you $ 170.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I got to go to the brew crew, bro. It's
- 19:15Speaker 2: just they've been so dominant and on a run. Like
- 19:20Speaker 2: we've said it a million times. Their at-bats are so professional.
- 19:25Speaker 2: And it's one through nine. It doesn't matter. It doesn't
- 19:28Speaker 2: matter if you bring Gary Sanchez off the bench. He
- 19:30Speaker 2: has to face Mason Miller. It's a grinder at-bat. Every
- 19:34Speaker 2: freaking guy in that lineup up and down. They got
- 19:37Speaker 2: a bullpen game going tomorrow. They'll have an opener. I
- 19:39Speaker 2: don't know who it is. And then you're going to
- 19:41Speaker 2: see all those dang horses out of the pen. I'm
- 19:44Speaker 2: going to go with the Brew Crew with my Polymarket pick.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Rossi, a few years ago, the Florida Panthers won the
- 19:54Speaker 1: Stanley Cup. They beat the Edmonton Oilers, and they were
- 19:57Speaker 1: up 3-0 on this dominant run, and then they lose
- 20:01Speaker 1: three games in a row. The Oilers force a game seven.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Do the Rays have that in them? Can they win
- 20:10Speaker 1: just one tomorrow?
- 20:12Speaker 2: I tell you what, I saw Pat Murphy's postgame press
- 20:15Speaker 2: conference and it was spoken like a manager, right? He
- 20:18Speaker 2: said exactly that, like anything can happen in baseball. And
- 20:21Speaker 2: I really believe that, like it only takes one. I mean,
- 20:24Speaker 2: I remember we were down 3-1, right? I mean, we're
- 20:27Speaker 2: prime examples of that. Like we did have one W
- 20:30Speaker 2: under our belt and we had some horses on the mound.
- 20:35Speaker 2: The Rays got some horses, some starters. The bullpen has
- 20:38Speaker 2: not looked great compared to the Brewers, but there's always
- 20:41Speaker 2: a chance in this game we play. It only takes
- 20:44Speaker 2: one momentum shift to get the boys rolling, and you
- 20:48Speaker 2: know how that is. Baseball is a funny sport like that.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Yeah, no doubt. I mean, it just takes one. You've
- 20:54Speaker 1: got to do one at a time, right? You have
- 20:56Speaker 1: to be crazy enough to think you can do it,
- 20:58Speaker 1: and that Rays team– hopefully doesn't know any better than
- 21:01Speaker 1: they go out and win. But what do you say?
- 21:02Speaker 2: What do you say in the locker room after this game?
- 21:05Speaker 2: If you're Kevin cash to your team, I don't know.
- 21:10Speaker 1: You're the manager. Like, does the manager say anything really
- 21:14Speaker 1: right today?
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:16Speaker 1: What do they do? Some do, some don't. It's not
- 21:19Speaker 1: like the manager. It's not just for reference managers for
- 21:22Speaker 1: our listeners. Managers don't address the team after every game.
- 21:25Speaker 1: They barely address the team in general. It's usually, um,
- 21:29Speaker 1: if you're going bad or maybe before, after the all-star break,
- 21:33Speaker 1: before the season, all-star break, and then the playoffs. And
- 21:35Speaker 1: if you're going bad, Joe Maddon was famous for this. Never,
- 21:39Speaker 1: you never have a team meeting before you're facing an ace.
- 21:41Speaker 1: If you're going to have a team meeting, you make
- 21:43Speaker 1: sure the matchup looks good for your offense. And then
- 21:45Speaker 1: you look like a genius.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 21:50Speaker 2: I was thinking about that. Like what, you know, my
- 21:54Speaker 2: style would have been probably just right when you come in,
- 21:57Speaker 2: just like, Hey boys, listen up. Like, We've got to
- 22:00Speaker 2: find a different perspective, and we've got to be thankful
- 22:04Speaker 2: we're in the World Series, first of all. It's a
- 22:06Speaker 2: blessing to be here. Everybody that's sitting at home watching,
- 22:09Speaker 2: every player, every other 28 teams, would get their right
- 22:13Speaker 2: arm to be in our position and taking it one
- 22:16Speaker 2: pitch at a time, all those cliches. I wouldn't say
- 22:18Speaker 2: any of those things, but just about, I think, perspective.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Let's have some perspective. We're playing the World Series tomorrow.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Let's go out and have some fun. Let's go out
- 22:25Speaker 2: and play our brand of baseball and have some fun.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Kind of reshift the mindset, just like you said. Like
- 22:30Speaker 1: our back's against the wall. We have nothing to lose now.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Let's go out there and play like we have nothing
- 22:35Speaker 1: to lose. Let's win one. Let's see what happens. And
- 22:37Speaker 1: then you keep that mindset. They can keep that mindset.
- 22:40Speaker 1: But let me tell you something, Rossi, from firsthand experience,
- 22:42Speaker 1: which you've experienced this year for the first time in
- 22:45Speaker 1: your life, finishing second sucks.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. It fucking sucks, bro.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Finishing second sucks.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Especially at those big stages, bro. Like this is not it.
- 22:55Speaker 2: I know Mike Napoli told me, One time when they
- 22:58Speaker 2: lost in Texas, remember St. Louis came back and he
- 23:01Speaker 2: said he was like depressed for like a month. He's
- 23:03Speaker 2: like in a hole for like a month.
- 23:04Speaker 1: That's awful.
- 23:05Speaker 2: You get on that stage and it's right there in
- 23:06Speaker 2: your grasp. You know, it sucks, man. It definitely sucks.
- 23:10Speaker 2: But as far as the World Series goes, I've never
- 23:13Speaker 2: felt that. I know the WBC would suck.
- 23:15Speaker 1: You're a two-time champ.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Two-time. Two-time. Two-time.
- 23:20Speaker 1: How about some ball bags? We got our boy Kenny
- 23:23Speaker 1: Chesney going on tour today. Next summer, Rossi, perfect segment

- 25:56Speaker 1: We love interacting with you guys. It's our favorite part
- 25:58Speaker 1: of the show. First email from Adam Mays. Seems that
- 26:03Speaker 1: Pat Murphy is well-deserving of manager of the year again
- 26:05Speaker 1: in the NL. Why do you think that he has
- 26:07Speaker 1: been able to unlock the old school style of baseball
- 26:11Speaker 1: and be successful? Do you think that it's some of
- 26:13Speaker 1: that college mentality that that he has experience with. His
- 26:17Speaker 1: teams have more focus and discipline than others. Well, you
- 26:20Speaker 1: could say that about any team that wins the World Series, Adam,
- 26:23Speaker 1: but Pat Murphy has been.
- 26:24Speaker 2: A little bit rossy. Adam, I've got an objection.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Rossi, let me ask you this real quick. What is
- 26:34Speaker 1: the qualifications for manager? You were a manager. I never
- 26:38Speaker 1: really cared about that accolade because it never affected me,
- 26:40Speaker 1: but what qualifies you as a manager of the year?
- 26:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't even think you think about it as
- 26:45Speaker 2: a manager. Like, I finished, I was in the race
- 26:48Speaker 2: my first year, like COVID year. Like, I finished third
- 26:51Speaker 2: or whatever. I think Donnie Baseball won it. My bad. Yeah, thanks, bro.
- 26:56Speaker 2: And then you shit down your leg and I had
- 26:57Speaker 2: to trade you. No, no. I guess I'll address Adam. Like,
- 27:04Speaker 2: to me, the manager of the year is getting expectations
- 27:09Speaker 2: out of your team that aren't there, right? I think.
- 27:14Speaker 2: The one thing I would say about the Brewers, the
- 27:15Speaker 2: small market, everybody counts them out just because of the market.
- 27:19Speaker 2: They've established they're a winning organization. They've won the division
- 27:22Speaker 2: four years in a row. They're good. They came into
- 27:26Speaker 2: this series good. They haven't broken through to the World
- 27:30Speaker 2: Series until this year. I understand that, but they've been good.
- 27:33Speaker 2: And I'm not saying this is a knock on Pat Murphy.
- 27:36Speaker 2: It's just the expectations that everybody else puts on somebody
- 27:39Speaker 2: because they're a small market. I think for me, manager
- 27:42Speaker 2: of the year in the National League has got to
- 27:43Speaker 2: go to somebody like Tori Lavello, who got a lot
- 27:46Speaker 2: out of Arizona, or the one that I would vote
- 27:49Speaker 2: for would be Walt Weiss in Atlanta. You know, they
- 27:52Speaker 2: had an 18-game swing from the year before with pretty
- 27:57Speaker 2: much the same guys. They kind of ran it back
- 27:59Speaker 2: a little bit, and he got a little bit more
- 28:01Speaker 2: out of those guys this year, his first year at
- 28:04Speaker 2: the helm. Like, that's a lot. Your first year managing...
- 28:07Speaker 2: You've been the bench coach for a long time, and
- 28:10Speaker 2: you win the National League East in a really tough
- 28:14Speaker 2: division with the Phillies, who made the playoffs. The Mets
- 28:17Speaker 2: had a huge payroll, had a down year. The Marlins
- 28:20Speaker 2: were better than expected.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Nationals were leading the league in runs for a while.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. So, yeah, I love your mentality, and I
- 28:28Speaker 2: think the old-school style of baseball is all that Pat Murphy– knows.
- 28:34Speaker 2: And he, he's been a part of a lot of
- 28:36Speaker 2: winning and, and in did that in college and also
- 28:39Speaker 2: in professional baseball. And he sees that works. And I
- 28:43Speaker 2: think the one thing that I think Pat Murphy does,
- 28:45Speaker 2: it's a, it's a, it's that grinder mentality that he
- 28:49Speaker 2: has himself that, that kind of bleeds into his players.
- 28:52Speaker 1: No doubt. I think too, Rossi with, with Murph is
- 28:57Speaker 1: he was, he was the two man there for, for
- 29:00Speaker 1: years under council. He was the bench coach. So, Again,
- 29:04Speaker 1: to our viewers, when you're the bench coach, you have
- 29:06Speaker 1: so many different relationships with your players than you are
- 29:09Speaker 1: with a manager. You can go out and put out
- 29:12Speaker 1: little fires where the manager has to do media or
- 29:14Speaker 1: other obligations where when you're the bench coach, everyone can
- 29:17Speaker 1: come and vent to you and be like, why isn't
- 29:18Speaker 1: the manager playing me? Why is the manager doing this?
- 29:21Speaker 1: And you can really establish these relationships with these guys.
- 29:25Speaker 1: So him being the bench coach for so long maybe
- 29:28Speaker 1: is just another notch on his belt of experience. So
- 29:32Speaker 1: then when he is the manager now and he's taken over, bro,
- 29:35Speaker 1: this is a 90-win team four years in a row.
- 29:38Speaker 1: But him just leading these guys. it seems like he's
- 29:41Speaker 1: just a master communicator, right? Everything I know about.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Him, everything I heard about him.
- 29:46Speaker 1: But, bro, 103 wins, highest in their franchise history, right? So,
- 29:53Speaker 1: I mean, Walt Weiss is a great story, but Murph
- 29:58Speaker 1: continues to do this. You know what I mean? Like it's,
- 30:01Speaker 1: it's impressive what he's done this run. I agree.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I agree. And, and I also, to your point, this
- 30:06Speaker 2: is a really good point you made. Like being the
- 30:08Speaker 2: bench coach, I think allows you, when you're the manager,
- 30:12Speaker 2: just a lot more on your plate and your words
- 30:14Speaker 2: carry a little bit more weight. Like the manager can't
- 30:17Speaker 2: joke around as much, like giving guys a hard time. Totally.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Because guys like, does the manager hate me? Does he
- 30:23Speaker 2: think I stink? Whatever. When you're the bench coach, you're,
- 30:26Speaker 2: Opinion really doesn't matter in the big.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Scheme of things. You can tell the guy he sucks.
- 30:29Speaker 1: That's why he's not playing.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 30:31Speaker 1: And laugh about it.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and laugh in their face. And I think he
- 30:35Speaker 2: created those relationships being the bench coach, so it was
- 30:38Speaker 2: just natural for him to take over. And they knew
- 30:40Speaker 2: his personality. They knew his expectations. They knew– I feel
- 30:45Speaker 2: like he doesn't settle for anything but your best. And
- 30:49Speaker 2: that came off probably as a bench coach, and it
- 30:51Speaker 2: definitely comes off as their manager for sure.
- 30:54Speaker 1: No doubt.
- 30:55Speaker 2: But I like the question, Adam, even though I disagree
- 30:57Speaker 2: with you. Email from Eric Lee in Chi-Town, Chicago. What
- 31:02Speaker 2: is or was your favorite watering hole and what were
- 31:05Speaker 2: your favorite pizza and hot dog places to go to? Wow.
- 31:09Speaker 1: My favorite watering hole is unfortunately no longer there. It's
- 31:12Speaker 1: called Stanley's. Used to go there on Sundays for live karaoke.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Been there a few times. And then my recent watering holes,
- 31:21Speaker 1: I would say Richard's Bar on Grand Ave. Loved that place.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Never been there.
- 31:27Speaker 1: My go-to for pizza, you know, I didn't really have
- 31:31Speaker 1: a go-to spot for pizza when I was there. Chicago
- 31:35Speaker 1: deep dish wasn't my jam, but over the last, like,
- 31:40Speaker 1: four or five years, Rossi, their tavern-style pizza is low-key
- 31:44Speaker 1: some of the best tavern-style pizza there is. So I
- 31:47Speaker 1: need to get back in the pizza game there. And
- 31:49Speaker 1: my hot dog go-to is Portillo's, hands down.
- 31:52Speaker 2: No doubt. No doubt. All right. My favorite watering hole
- 31:56Speaker 2: is the legendary Murphy's. Got to give a shout out.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Got to give a shout out to Murphy's. That's the
- 32:02Speaker 2: spot that I really loved.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Freddy and Murphy's. Shout out to Freddy and Murphy's. They
- 32:08Speaker 1: take an amazing care of us.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Pizza. My kids loved it and I love it. I
- 32:13Speaker 2: feel like Lou Malnati's, bro. I feel like there's four
- 32:16Speaker 2: pounds of butter in that crust and it just savors it.
- 32:18Speaker 2: I used to.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Love Lou's when they had the Caesar sauce. there at
- 32:23Speaker 1: Lou's that you could dip some of the pizza in
- 32:26Speaker 1: and they got I think they got rid of it I.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Was like what oh I didn't know that I'm going
- 32:31Speaker 2: to try that next well I I would get like
- 32:33Speaker 2: a deep dish and we'd all like have one slice
- 32:34Speaker 2: and then we would have a they have a thin
- 32:36Speaker 2: crust too that that was like kind of tavern style
- 32:39Speaker 2: was legit and then I'm not not a big hot
- 32:42Speaker 2: dog guy I've never had a hot dog in Chicago
- 32:45Speaker 2: I think that's probably sacrilegious right I've never had a
- 32:49Speaker 2: hot dog in chicago breaking news breaking news the loser
- 32:55Speaker 2: that's the mecca everybody how yeah how do you do
- 32:57Speaker 2: that how is that even possible my dad grew hey
- 33:00Speaker 2: my i grew up my dad's a butcher and sold
- 33:03Speaker 2: hot dogs and hamburgers to all the uh like fsu
- 33:07Speaker 2: all the schools did water burgers hamburgers in our little
- 33:09Speaker 2: hometown and so i just had so many hot dogs
- 33:12Speaker 2: as a kid i just uh I don't think I
- 33:14Speaker 2: just kind of, kind of wore on me. So like
- 33:16Speaker 2: the last thing I'm ordering ever is a hot dog.
- 33:18Speaker 2: So I think it's a little bit of a PTSD.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Let me ask you this question. Let me ask you
- 33:22Speaker 1: this question. Have you had a Dodger dog?
- 33:26Speaker 2: I have had a Dodger dog. I like, I like Dodger.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I like Dodger dog. I don't like a beef hot dog.
- 33:31Speaker 2: I like a pork hot dog. And I think that's what, like,
- 33:33Speaker 2: I know too much about hot dogs because of my dad.
- 33:36Speaker 2: So like, I like a border hot dog rather than
- 33:38Speaker 2: the beef hot dog. It doesn't taste the.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Same to me. And Dodger Dog's a poor hot dog.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Next time we're in Chicago, you got to go to.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Portillo's?
- 33:47Speaker 1: Oh, God. No, why am I blanking on this?
- 33:49Speaker 2: Wiener Circle.
- 33:50Speaker 1: The Wiener Circle, yeah. And then you got to ask
- 33:52Speaker 1: for the chocolate shake.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Chocolate shake, yeah. Really good, yeah. I like that.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Our next email is from Julie O'Leary. You both seem
- 33:59Speaker 1: to be very close friends, and I was curious if
- 34:01Speaker 1: that brought any challenges for either of you when Rosh
- 34:05Speaker 1: became the Cubs manager in 2020. Also, I love the show.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Thank you, Julie. I hope you guys can continue the
- 34:11Speaker 1: podcast even during the offseason. We are in talks right
- 34:15Speaker 1: now amongst each other on how we want to do
- 34:17Speaker 1: our show in the offseason. Hearing all the stories from
- 34:20Speaker 1: throughout your career is great. Thank you, Julie.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Wow, great, Julie. I've got a great story about my
- 34:28Speaker 2: good friend Anthony Rizzo. We had, they only had like
- 34:31Speaker 2: one real rant as a manager and there was just,
- 34:36Speaker 2: we were playing terribly and you know, things weren't going good.
- 34:40Speaker 2: So I called a little closed-door meeting after one of the,
- 34:44Speaker 2: I think we won the game. I don't know if
- 34:46Speaker 2: we lost or won the game, but we were not
- 34:47Speaker 2: locked in. And I remember talking about saying, you know,
- 34:53Speaker 2: we got to compete. Like, forget about all the outside stuff.
- 34:56Speaker 2: I may have been the year that we didn't do
- 34:58Speaker 2: really well, and everybody had contract stuff on their mind
- 35:01Speaker 2: or whatever it was. We just weren't playing well.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Yeah, but then you traded.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Me, 2021. Yeah, I traded you. And I just remember
- 35:08Speaker 2: I'm yelling like compete. We got to fucking compete like
- 35:10Speaker 2: four times the top of my lungs. I look up
- 35:13Speaker 2: and Riz has got like this smirk on his face
- 35:16Speaker 2: in his locker. And he comes to my office afterwards
- 35:19Speaker 2: after I have a rant and I'm out of breath
- 35:21Speaker 2: about a pass out. He walks in there, shuts the door.
- 35:23Speaker 2: He goes, bro, it was all I could do to
- 35:25Speaker 2: not pull out my camera from video tape. You do that.
- 35:29Speaker 2: I was like, dude, I would have lost my shit
- 35:31Speaker 2: if you would have done that. I would have loved it.
- 35:33Speaker 2: But that's. That's what makes Anthony, talking to Julie and
- 35:37Speaker 2: our fans, what makes Anthony so amazing is that he's
- 35:43Speaker 2: always got this fun side to him that never really
- 35:46Speaker 2: goes away and his lighthearted way of keeping things pretty neutral.
- 35:51Speaker 2: And so that's his personality coming out in that moment.
- 35:53Speaker 2: But it was, in my eyes, it was not my
- 35:56Speaker 2: favorite moment. But going back to being able to manage
- 36:00Speaker 2: some of my friends, like Anthony is these guys already
- 36:05Speaker 2: knew that I was honest and I cared about them.
- 36:07Speaker 2: So the easiest thing I had to do was be
- 36:10Speaker 2: honest with those guys. Cause I was that way as
- 36:12Speaker 2: a player. So every, everybody made a story about like,
- 36:15Speaker 2: how are you going to discipline or be hard or
- 36:18Speaker 2: have tough conversation with these guys? It was like, I
- 36:20Speaker 2: did that as a player. I was, I, you know, you,
- 36:22Speaker 2: you speak honesty and love. And I, I feel like
- 36:24Speaker 2: I always did that with those guys when I was playing.
- 36:27Speaker 2: So it was easy to I could ask Anthony, like, hey,
- 36:29Speaker 2: did I fuck that up? I could ask Jason Hayward, like,
- 36:32Speaker 2: what do you got in this situation? I could ask
- 36:35Speaker 2: all the guys kind of their takes, and they would
- 36:37Speaker 2: give me real honest feedback because I wanted the best
- 36:39Speaker 2: for them, and I think they wanted the best for me,
- 36:40Speaker 2: and we all were trying to win.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Yeah, no doubt. It was definitely a different transition as
- 36:47Speaker 1: a player, you as a manager, because you're the manager.
- 36:51Speaker 1: you're the manager. And there was times where like, all right,
- 36:53Speaker 1: am I talking to the manager or am I talking
- 36:55Speaker 1: to my friend right now?
- 36:55Speaker 2: Right.
- 36:56Speaker 1: And there, you had to, you had to really separate
- 36:58Speaker 1: that and, and keep it professional. So it was definitely
- 37:02Speaker 1: a fun, weird, great, not so great.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Right.
- 37:08Speaker 1: The conversations we had were great, but then literally a
- 37:11Speaker 1: year and a half of your managing career, you've literally
- 37:13Speaker 1: traded me. So it's like, what the fuck? But, um,
- 37:19Speaker 1: but look, look at us now. We have our own show.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Look at us now.
- 37:22Speaker 1: We do love hanging out.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Look at us now.
- 37:24Speaker 1: I mean, we went on a golf trip, and we
- 37:26Speaker 1: played 100 plus holes of golf. Like, we can't get
- 37:30Speaker 1: enough of each other. It was a lot of fun.
- 37:32Speaker 1: We really do enjoy this offseason after the World Series.
- 37:37Speaker 1: We will be with you guys weekly.
- 37:41Speaker 2: We should take our fans golfing with us one time.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Maybe we should, too. Like, hey. Put some in the comments.
- 37:46Speaker 2: If you guys want to, want to go, go with
- 37:48Speaker 2: a round of golf with us, let's see how many
- 37:50Speaker 2: people down with that.
- 37:51Speaker 1: We could do, we do all sorts of things. Honestly,
- 37:53Speaker 1: it'd be great to hear emails at Ross and Rizzo Gmail.
- 37:58Speaker 1: What do you guys want to hear this off season?
- 38:00Speaker 1: We were thinking about interviewing some people, um, kind of
- 38:03Speaker 1: expanding a little bit, baseball people, current baseball, former players, um,
- 38:08Speaker 1: maybe some of our outreach that we have, Rossi, you know, everyone,
- 38:11Speaker 1: you are musicians.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Anybody like anybody that, that would, would come on
- 38:15Speaker 2: with us and talk a little ball or just life
- 38:17Speaker 2: or what's going on. Like we, we've got both met
- 38:20Speaker 2: so many cool people that I think would come on
- 38:22Speaker 2: here and kind of just tell some stories. We've got,
- 38:24Speaker 2: we've got some, we've got some pretty good ones with
- 38:26Speaker 2: a lot of our friends that are A-list celebrities. That
- 38:30Speaker 2: might be pretty cool.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Well, another good episode, Rossi. The Milwaukee Brewers are one
- 38:37Speaker 1: win away from winning the World Series. Childhood dreams coming true.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Fan dreams coming true. Ownership, the entire organization, are one
- 38:46Speaker 1: win away. But they're not there yet. And the Rays,
- 38:50Speaker 1: this is sports. This is sports. And the Tampa Bay
- 38:54Speaker 1: Rays can come back still. There's still hope, one game
- 38:58Speaker 1: at a time. Game four tomorrow, Rossi, at the Trap.
- 39:02Speaker 1: You will be boots on the ground again. Thank you, everyone,
- 39:05Speaker 1: for listening. Ross and Rizzo Unfiltered. I'm Anthony Rizzo, my partner.
- 39:09Speaker 1: We are out. Peace.
