Luna: Oh, I love this — how to say you're happy or sad, right? Lucas: Exactly. Let's start with a basic one: 'Nina furaha.' That means 'I'm happy.' Listen again: Nina furaha. Luna: Nina furaha. Lucas: Perfect. 'Nina' means 'I have,' but in context it means 'I am.' So 'Nina furaha' — I have happiness, I'm happy. Luna: That's nice. What about sad? 'Nina huzuni'? Lucas: Exactly right. 'Nina huzuni' — I'm sad. Say it? Luna: Nina huzuni. Lucas: Good. Now if you want to ask someone, you say 'Una furaha?' — Are you happy? Luna: Una furaha? That's easy — 'Una' meaning 'you have.' Lucas: Yes. And 'Una huzuni?' — Are you sad? Luna: Una huzuni? Got it. Lucas: Let's try a mini conversation. I'll ask you: 'Una furaha?' You answer. Luna: Nina furaha! Lucas: Awesome. Now what if you're feeling sad and someone asks? Luna: Nina huzuni. Lucas: Right. We also have another way to express feelings: 'Nasikia furaha' — I feel happy. 'Nasikia' comes from 'kusikia,' to feel or hear. Luna: Nasikia furaha. Nasikia huzuni. That's a little different. Lucas: Yes, it's more like 'I feel' rather than 'I have.' Let's practice all six. Luna: Okay, I'll try: Nina furaha, Nina huzuni, Una furaha?, Una huzuni?, Nasikia furaha, Nasikia huzuni. Lucas: You did great. Now imagine you meet a friend. How would you ask? Luna: Una furaha? And if they look down, maybe 'Una huzuni?' Lucas: Exactly. And they might answer 'Nina furaha' or 'Nina huzuni.' Luna: That seems useful. I can already picture using this.
