- The Drama Drop: What's up guys, welcome back to the Drama Drop. Today we are going to be recapping the end of Love Island. I'm talking Family Day, the finale and all the drama that has exploded ever since the Islanders got their phones back. There's a lot to go over, so let's get into it. Guys, we did it. We survived the season of Love Island, Love Island USA, season eight has come to a close. We do have the reunion to look forward to, but the season as a whole is done. And I truly don't even know what to do with my time. It's kind of funny because in the very beginning, before I even dived into Love Island, the whole community, I could not fathom committing so much time to a show, especially how I know how much I commit to Big Brother and that's not every day of the week. So I just truly had no idea how this was going to play out, if I was really gonna be in it and let me just tell you, it took everything out of me in the best way possible. I mean, I was fully captivated and I hear mixed things. I hear that this was a really good season. I hear that this is not a great season. I don't know. mean, I enjoyed myself. Like I've been saying, I've come into it with fresh set of eyes and opinions because I have nothing to compare this to. But I gotta say, I am definitely going through some withdrawals. have to admit, like I find myself like, well, now what do I do? I mean, thank goodness Big Brother has started now. So that's picked back up, but I will say. It does take me a little bit to get acclimated to the new cast of Big Brother because there's so many people. There's a lot of commotion going on. You guys don't know much about Big Brother, which trust me, as the season goes on, like I'm definitely going to talk about it. But that's not what this episode is about. It's about Love Island. But just to kind of compare, Big Brother has 24 seven live feeds that you can tune into if you have, you know, a Paramount Plus subscription. Also, there's Twitter, people will stream it, or I guess it's X, or threads, whatever you wanna call it, whatever suits your fancy. YouTube, you can watch the live streams. It is going on 24 seven, aside from competitions, just like certain things, they don't show, they save some surprise for the actual episode, except you'll know the results, whatever. Eviction Night is live, so that you'll never know. But... Yeah, I mean, that's a lot. So thank goodness I have that to fill the void. But I will say I am just kind of like every night, all right, where's my show? Where's my show? And it hasn't even been a full week yet. So this is really, this is really sad, but yeah, I feel like I can say I'm officially part of the fan base now. And so I'm really excited to watch future seasons and kind of have a different perspective now that I have a full season under my belt. And yeah, well, I mean, there's so much to talk about. So. I don't wanna waste too much time. So I wanna kind of go backtrack to, obviously we know finale has happened, like the season's over, but I'm gonna take it a little back and talk about Family Day. First of all, the whole idea of Family Day, I understand you wanna meet the family of the person that you are in a relationship with, connection with, whatever, like you're coupled up with to see how that would play out in the real world, fair, right? I just think it's absolutely crazy meeting families almost naked, Bikinis and like string thong bikinis. It's a great, like I am just watching it I'm like, how, how? Like, I don't know, cause like I forget, you know, sometimes I forget my age and I forget that this younger generation of people, like I still in my mind, I'm still 21. I forget that I am not that I am 10 years plus one. of that. And so like these are just young spring chickens, like, not that far out of college and living their life their best life. And that's just like what they're comfortable with. But I just I can't even process one just wearing like a string thong bikini in general. But two, like that is what you are meeting parents with. So that was just absolutely insane to me. Like I just I couldn't it was making me feel very uncomfortable. But whatever I mean, none of the family I mean, I guess, you know, they know what they're going getting into and they know what to expect. No one is like, my gosh, this woman's like almost naked and I'm meeting her. But whatever, that's besides the point. That was just one thing that stuck out to me. was I was like, I cannot even imagine that being your first impression. Well, I guess it wasn't the first impression because these families know everything that's been going on with their son, daughter and the couple. Like they know everything. So they kind of already have a first impression of you. and it honestly shocked me that a majority of the families were very supportive. Not that they didn't have a reason to be supportive per se, but you know, I just feel like in the real world, most families, you know, like they're protective of their children. Like they want to ask the hard hitting questions. Like they're kind of, you know, they're just want to make sure that the person that their child is interested in, like seeing a future with is gonna hold up to standards for them. And to be honest, like I was really shocked that a lot of parents were supportive, which I mean, great, like that's excellent, but I just almost felt like it was too sunshine and rainbows, you know? I don't feel like there was enough. interrogations really aside from Melanie and sincere that whole family meet which we'll get into I mean sure they asked the questions of like okay like You know, how do you see this working like okay like and they just take it with a grain of salt like they're like, okay great and I mean whatever I guess they're not necessarily there to kind of like sway their family member one way or another besides Melanie's family, but I just Yeah, I don't know. felt like I was very shocked. I was just like, mean to tell me that every single one of these families are just like, hooray about their child being on this crazy television show on national television that millions and millions of people are watching like they have no sort of just kind of criticism, hesitation, nothing. I don't know. Maybe they just like that was something that they had to come to terms with before their child like went on the show. I mean, I understand that they're Children are adult children. So like they really don't have a say, but I just was thinking about it. And I was just like, it's just, I don't know. It's very, it was crazy to me. Maybe they're just really relaxed. I don't know. So we're gonna get into the couples and like meeting the families and everything. Bryce and Trinity, obviously like, okay, let me just back up really quick for all of the couples besides Melanie. and sincere and even like Ania and Carl a little bit. Everything else for the most part was pretty just like tame, I guess. I mean, I do have opinions on all of them. Bryce and Trinity absolutely went as you can imagine, okay? They pretty much been smooth sailing since episode one. Like they haven't really had to come to any trials and tribulations. They haven't had to overcome really any adversity. Like sure, maybe they had like a small little bump in the road here or there, but like nothing that is kind of groundbreaking or like, wow, they really overcame that. Like, that's amazing. Like, good for them. And this also fell, you know, suit with that. Like, it was a very easy family meetup, both his mom, Bryce's mom and grandma, and then Trinity's side, like everything was just like, my gosh, love you guys. Like, this was so great. Like, they were all just ready to go get married. I mean, Bryce's grandma, like he was just ready for them to go ahead and start making babies. mean, amazing, right? Like good for them. But to me, that was just like a little bit boring. mean, you I don't want anybody to ever have any downfall or anything, but I just feel like they've had a very easy ride. Granted, we don't see everything that's going on. mean, obviously I know that there's a lot of footage. However, I can only imagine that if they've had issues, bumps in the roads, like things that they were trying to navigate that wasn't just very smooth, we would have definitely seen it. So. It just wasn't shocking that like this was not really anything. Whoa, you know, it was very went to be as expected. But that makes me excited for them because I feel like that will make, you know, their relationship outside of the villa and the island and the show have more longevity. I feel like it would just kind of give them that validation of like, OK, like. We are getting validation from our families. They have been seeing everything. We already feel pretty solid in the house or in the villa. So I feel like that'll really help them leave the villa and the island on a firm foundation, know, versus kind of like leading it on a rocky or not having very clear clarity with the family's opinions. So yeah, I mean, was nice to see them very happy and the family being very excited about both of them being together. I thought it was very cute. I thought it was very sweet. I just, again, it wasn't very shocking that they just didn't really have anything, you know, noteworthy really to go over. Then, you know, we have Ania and Carl. Sorry, and I may not be going in order of like when these parents were brought to the island, but. This is just the order that I'm talking about the So we have an eye on Carl. I was really curious to see how this was going to play out because obviously like they were on the newer couple, know. Carl coming from Casa more, but yeah, no, I mean it was a very sweet moment as well. You know, I wasn't really sure with Carl's mom like she first of all, she's absolutely gorgeous. I just feel like Carl. He's just such an anomaly. I'm really shocked. that he is on the show because he just seems so mature, so emotionally intelligent, so classy, and he seems like he comes from a family of class. So I was super shocked that he's just on the show. And then his parent or his mom and his sister, they just seemed so elegant. And it was just kind of like, feel like I felt his mom was uncomfortable. But she was super sweet. seemed like she was very loving towards Anaya, open arms, know, happy for them type of thing. I just, my vibe was I felt like she was like, maybe we'll talk about this after, you know, like she was aware that there's cameras. She wasn't going to necessarily bring anything like hard hitting to the show because of the cameras and everything. Like to me, again, she didn't necessarily do anything, but I just felt like I got the vibe that she was like, Okay, yeah, I'm gonna, you know, maybe play this up for the camera, not necessarily live, but like my concerns that I have. I'll talk to Carl after the fact because I'm not gonna try to do anything crazy here. But you know, she did say that she could see Ania being her daughter-in-law, which I feel like is a huge thing to say. So super sweet, but I, yeah, I don't know. just, I don't know. Like that whole thing is just kind of crazy to me. They just don't seem like the type that would be on one reality television show, but also Love Island in itself. And then you have Anaya and then her family, her sister and her mom, and my gosh, they are absolutely gorgeous. They all three look like sisters, know, like so kudos to her mom. She looks amazing. One thing that really stood out to me, which I appreciated, was Anaya's mom and sister calling Anaya out completely separate of, you know, her and Carl's relationship. Well, I mean, she did call her out. was like, why did you pick Casey over Carl? Like, what were you thinking? Like, you literally did all of that. Like, trust your gut always. So I appreciated that she, you know, called her out on that, you know, made sure that she knew that she needs to stick with her gut, that everybody was like, you made the wrong decision. Aside from that, she also called her out about how she is as a friend to Melanie. She's letting her know you are not being a good friend. Why are you telling this girl that she needs to give sincere a chance? Like she needs to, you know, like team sincere, like downplaying everything that's been going on. Like I understand she's your friend, all this and that, but like being a good friend to her is telling her the hard thing. I was so impressed by that. And as a side note, I would be so embarrassed to be Melanie to know that, you know, this is family day and other people's families are having opinions about your relationship. That alone is terrifying. She said so many signs like I'll get into it because I feel like I'm going to get onto a rant. But you have somebody else's family members. They're coming in and they feel like they need to go ahead and share their thoughts and tell you know their family member who's close with Melanie. We're concerned about this girl. You need to stop lying to her. You need to be a good friend to her. You need to tell her the fact you can't just sugarcoat this. which is exactly what Parmita tried to do. And you need to tell her the hard thing. You need to tell her probably what she doesn't necessarily want to hear. Thankfully, Anaya, you she took that and that registered with her because later she does have a talk with Melanie. But yeah, I thought that was really big of her family to kind of address that. And then I also thought that's actually insane that, I mean, again, I don't know, haven't seen any other family nights. I don't know if that's normal. I don't know if that's been done before, but for... another relationship to have that much of an impact negatively to where somebody else's family needs to feel like they have to step in and say something, that alone should tell you plenty about what you should do. You know what I mean? Okay, so then we have Zach and Kata. And I'll just say, I don't know. I love Kata, okay? And I don't have beef with Zach, but there's just something about him that annoys me. You know what I mean? He's not bad, sincere. He didn't do anything super crazy like sincere and KC and maybe even Corbin, but there is something about him that gets under my skin and I don't particularly know what it is. I can't put my finger on it. But he annoys me, okay? And so for that, just like, don't care about him. And then unfortunately, by default, that means I don't care about him and Kada's relationship. But I really enjoy Kada. Although I wish she would stop saying genuinely, but I'm sure there's things that I say that I wish people would be like, okay, I wish she would stop saying this probably like the word like, but genuinely is such a very specific word to say over and over and over. Anyways, that's besides the point. I enjoy Kada, okay? And I just wish that she had a different person in the villa that she connected with. And if they have a really solid relationship, like they very much claim to have and feel very confident about it, we didn't see that as viewers. And I think, you know, her and Zach coming out of this, they'll be very surprised if they aren't already what we got, because, you know, it's really interesting because I feel like I have to remember these people aren't seeing what we're seeing. it's like they have no idea what's making the show, what storylines are making it. I forget that they have zero clue. So I'm sure that they are each thinking, you know, they're the main characters. So, you know, all of these like starting to get like fan votes and all these things like that, that her and Zach are kind of at the bottom at it's really registering to her. Okay, like, I don't know what necessarily is going on. But So I feel like there's just like that on edge of how are we being perceived by the fans? But yeah, I don't know. And this family day for them was just very, it didn't really do anything for me. didn't make me feel any sort of different about their relationship like some of the other couples did. So for Zach, you don't even have any of his parents, neither one of them showed up. It was just his brother and sister. And you know, his brother, I guess, Charlie, he was on another season. He didn't make it very long, but he was on another season. So whatever. And then you had Kada's mom and sister. But yeah, I mean, like it was fine. The meat, like there was nothing again that made me feel any sort of different about the relationship. There wasn't necessarily anything that made me like, ooh, like that wasn't good for their relationship either. I just I don't know I wasn't very moved by it at all I thought it was kind of boring. I just I don't know I mean they said the cliche of like I've never seen you know. Kate a laugh as much as she has or whatever and I'm like really you have it because we're like what are you seeing are you getting uncut footage because I. Where is that if that's how much she hasn't laughed before like that's kind of scary I don't know I just don't think that they. really are a good match, but they are very, very into their relationship. They claim otherwise. So there just must be a whole bunch that we don't get to see. Why was that the case? Like does production hate them? I don't know. But I mean, yeah, they're just, I mean, I'm glad that their family was supportive. It's just, I don't know, I'm just kind of bleh. Now, one of the couples that really kind of changed how I felt and viewed them was Kenzie and Dylan. Okay. I had no idea how this was going to go because as we know, like Kenzie and Dylan were kind of rocky, right? He was just kind of questioning her like, okay, you went from this guy to this guy and Corbin and Caleb and that whole triangle. And then when I got in, then you kissed Gal and how do I know you're not going to do this? And then you're going to like change and pick somebody up, you know, like how is this going to be in the real world? Whatever. So I was very curious to see like what his side of the family would be towards Kenzie if they would, you know, kind of be like, this girl is not for you, et cetera, et cetera. Or, you know, in the latter, like Kenzie's family being like, this guy is just questioning you. Like he doesn't trust you. Don't worry about him. Like you need to pick somebody else or like just don't waste your time on him. However, I felt like it was a very, very sweet moment. So you had Kenzie's brother and her mom, and then you had Dylan's mom. and best friend, his guy best friend. And yeah, it was super sweet. felt like, felt like both families were very understanding of both of them and their views and feelings and validating everything. I mean, when they go off and they have their separate conversations and Dylan's mom is talking to Dylan, he's basically saying like, I understand where Kenzie's coming from. know, it's like, she's in this experience. Like this is kind of just an abnormal. This isn't an everyday life. scenario. So yeah, things are going to be a little bit different. Like you have to kind of put yourself in her shoes. You have to give her grace. have to kind of understand where she's coming from. Like you came a little bit later. Like she got hurt by a guy she was really feeling in here. You know, just like understand kind of that whole thing. Like put yourself in her shoes. And I just thought that I was really big of his mom to kind of give him that perspective. And I think that really opened up Dylan's eyes to their relationship and the potential that it has outside of the villa, which I think is really good. And then, you know, you have Kenzie, she womaned up and she pulled Dylan's mom aside just like, hey, can I have a chat with you? And kind of just reiterating, like, I really do care about your son. I do have feelings for him. I see myself being in relationship with him, like just seeing how we're integrating right now and meshing today. I can see this, you know, outside. I want him to come home to meet more of my family, go the lake. You know, she's having this one-on-one with Dylan's mom. And I think that is huge because she definitely didn't have to do that. It wasn't Dylan's mom pulling her and asking her these questions, like making sure like, Hey, are you right for my son type of thing? Like she went ahead and she took the initiative to explain herself because you know, she probably knew like, okay, this isn't going to look necessarily great. Obviously Dylan is feeling very hurt. Like that wasn't my intention. You know, it's just kind of the nature of the show. is just so abnormal and different. Like I need to clear the air. And I think that went such a long way. Dylan's mom fully appreciated that. And, you know, they just had a very sweet bonding moment. And I think that honestly made a huge turn for me. And I gotta say, like had we voted for our final four after family night, I probably would have voted for them as one of my four. Not saying that my vote would have made them make it, but I just feel like We just saw so much more, I feel like connection and growth just within the family meeting than I did with some of the other couples like Kada and Zach. just, I don't know. But yeah, I just think that it was really good for their relationship to survive outside of the villa. Do I know how long it's gonna survive or whatever outside of the villa? Absolutely not. But I do think that it really kind of helped at least, you know. immediate post Villa Island show whatever to keep you know staying together So I felt like that was very sweet and then we have Casey and TT and I mean their their whole family meeting up situation was very cute. I felt like Casey's parent or mom really appreciated TT, you know standing up for him when things were a little bit hard, you know, I just you know, I feel like They really appreciated TT. They just said, we see Casey being different with you. know, people bring out the best and be like, when it's your person, they bring out the best and you you know what I mean? If you're not with somebody that's good for you, like you could be somebody that you're totally not, you know, and I think that they really recognize like, okay, Casey, like you weren't acting how we would expect you to. But we noticed a change like when TT came around like You are a lot softer. You were a lot calmer. Your personality. We were able to see that through the screen and Titi like you're just you guys are just really meshing with each other like you guys both bring out the best. And I definitely feel like had they had more time in the villa on the show. I feel like they would have made it farther to a final four because I just really don't think you could fight any sort of questioning on if they have chemistry or not. What I've noticed I feel like and I'll get into it more of just like Everybody I feel is more honed in on the historical piece versus the true chemistry piece and that is what I feel like really truly needs to change because just because you've been together since day one doesn't mean You guys are more legit or have more chemistry than the next couple that maybe came a little bit later like You just I don't know. I don't know. I just feel like that's not how that necessarily works. So last but not least, which is definitely what they did in the show, they were last and rightfully so because Sincere and Melanie, they both were gonna throw up like the whole entire episode. You know what I mean? Like they were scared for Family Day. And were the other couples nervous? Yes, but it's like typical jitters like butterflies, just normal butterflies of when you're meeting somebody's. family for the first time or just anything like you want them to like you you want to like them you want things to go well but these two are nervous because they know that their relationship has just been terrible terrible from the very beginning Melanie knows that sincere has not been treating her right she knows people have opinions on it she knows her family's gonna have opinions on it sincere knows he's messed up time and time and time and time again it looks like an idiot on TV and has made Melanie look like an idiot on TV and he's about to have to come face to face with her family there her public number one defenders most likely and he's gonna have to face that music and as he should so you're just waiting for this whole thing to go down and they just both look sick to their stomach because they know they have to face that and I'm sorry but like if you are so nervous to the point where you're gonna throw up because you're scared because you've given them a reason to maybe not welcome you with open arms, that alone should be another red flag for you, Melanie. Like there's so many signs, it's like nauseating. Anyways, so we finally get the whole, we have Melanie's mom and sister, and then we have Sincere's brother and dad. Sincere is the only one that had a father come. for Family Day, okay? And thank God that he did. He put his son in place. And I just wanna say, thank you, thank you, sir, thank you for your service. I mean, obviously we don't see every single family dynamic, but, you know, he was like, I almost didn't even wanna come here, but like, I couldn't stand to let you get away with this, per se. You he's like, you needed... to have a talking to. I did not raise you to be this way. This is not my expectation. I expect more out of you. I'm very disappointed in you. I can't believe you're treating Melanie this way, this beautiful girl. This is not okay. Flew, you know, like 20 hours to come have this conversation with him because if he didn't, like who else would? And, you know, I feel like more times than not, sometimes, like for my perception, I'm thinking, sincere as dad's probably just like this. You know, I feel like fathers are very important in how they instill like their beliefs and how you should treat and respect women, you know, growing up, like they kind of set that example. So it's just kind of crazy to me, his dad is coming and he's like, what are you doing? You're embarrassing your family yourself, this poor girl. Why are you treating her like, like I didn't raise you to be this way. What is going on? You know, so he's really just like not having it and I appreciate him for that. You know, he could have not come. He could have not even addressed it. He could have been like, well, that's not my problem. But I feel like, you know, he really was cared enough about his son to fly all the way out there and talk some sense into him. Like you need to get it together. Why do you want to do this? Why are you behaving this way type of thing? And I feel like Melanie really should have taken that to it's like Okay, great. His dad's coming and he's saying all these things to him. But that's crazy that it's bad enough. Like, obviously, I'm living it. So I know it's terrible. But like, what is going on on the show? What is everything that's being seen? What is all of the public perception for it to be bad enough that his dad's like, Okay, I need to come fly out here and I need to talk to my son. And then you have on top of that, mom and sister of Melanie, not pleased with sincere, obviously, rightfully so. And like, I don't like the way that you treated. I don't like the way you make her cry. Like, what about this? What about that? No, when they have their separate conversations, poor Melanie's sister is like crying, bawling, just being like, please see the light. Do you see the light walk into it? You do not deserve this. This is not the type of person for you. Like he wouldn't make you feel like this. He wouldn't treat you this terribly. Not only that, like on national television and like you. are so beautiful, like you have a great personality, like he's dimming your light, like we're watching all of this. You have so many people basically like screaming at the top of their lungs to you being like, please don't make this decision, don't let him fool you, like don't keep getting tricked by this man. And you know, you really think like it's getting through to her, like honestly it was a very emotional scene, like I felt like I was getting very teary eyed, just watching her talk to her sister and her mom and then basically begging her like, you don't, have to deal with this, you you don't have to put up with it. And to me, I'm just kind of like, why, why is she, you know, it's not, you know, there's relationships where it's like, we live together, we have kids together, we have bills together, we've been together for like five plus years, like, it's not that easy to get out that I totally understand this situation. You're not tied to anything other than an island, and maybe a potential cash prize at the end of it. But if this is everything that's going on, really think you're gonna, like, you do not have to stay with this. Like, there's nothing tying you together that's like binding you, that's not making it easy to leave. You know what I mean? I just, I don't know. I really don't know. But I would have thought these conversations that she was having with her family, seeing Sincere's dad talk to him that he did, I would have thought these things would have clicked for her. Not only that, After all the families left, Ania comes to her and is like, I haven't been a good friend to you. I should have been more upfront with the way that Sincere treats you. It's not okay. You deserve everything. And then, you know, understandably so, Melanie's like, okay, well, I'm getting confused because it's like, we have some people saying that you don't deserve this, like, whatever. Then it's all of a sudden you're being too hard on Sincere. team sincere like which is it and I think that's actually very fair. But you know it's like. Now all these other things are coming out of people trying to talk to you and just knock some sense into you. And it's not registering. And that I don't even have words for you know after all of it her insincere they have this conversation because you know she's just like the way my family you know like that's not OK like I don't want that like but. Basically, she says screw y'all to the her family gives them a big middle finger not with just one hand but two because then she makes a statement that she wants to keep trying things with him and just see how it goes outside of the villa and I'm sorry but like what makes you think it's going to be any better in the outside world like right now you're in a bubble you're in a very confined space there's limited people to talk to You don't have social media. You don't have a phone that can do anything else but other than I got a text. So you think that going in the outside world, that's where you wanna see and test things. You can't even survive in basically a honeymoon environment. This should be where you have the least problems. And this is where you have so far the most since your relationship started. You don't know anything better. So, you she tells him she's like one thing like outside and then otherwise like you'll be dead to me. Like I'll be dead to you. Like you won't hear from me. And I just I'm trying to understand that logic because I'm like, why would you even want to try to risk that? And here's the thing. I just feel like she won't take that to be true. I don't believe her. I mean, she's seeing so many things over and over and over as to why this isn't good. And he has yet to prove himself. mean, he hasn't really to be fair outside of all the other stuff outside of soul and cost them more. He hasn't really had another opportunity to prove himself. So I will give him that. But. I think it should be the opposite, you know, it's like. Innocent until proven guilty, well, he's been guilty so many times, so now at this time it's like guilty until proven innocent. It's like I'm going to move at a distance. When we get on the outside world, if you want to prove to me that you want to be with me, then maybe we can figure that out. But like, let's figure that out when we get out there. Like right now, like I just don't want this with you. You know, I could see that maybe, but I don't know. It's crazy to me that she is just like still willing to give this man a chance. Like this guy could murder her whole entire family. And she's like, well, let's just see. You know, I don't, I really don't get it. Cause I'm like, what do you have to lose? Like you had a life before him, like four weeks ago. And now it just seems like you don't know what to do without this man when like there isn't like I said before, there's nothing tying you guys together at this moment in time. And this is where it comes to play. Like my frustration of like its history versus chemistry of what these people like their goal is like they think just because we've been together for so long at the very beginning, like we need to just write it out. And that's just really not the case. And I don't know. It's just it's just frustrating to watch because I'm like, dang it. And of course, you know, we got the final four. couples and they were one of them. And I can't even say dang it, because I don't even know if I want to admit this. I did put them as one of my final four couples, but to my credit, it was because I knew I didn't vote Zach and Kata. Who did I vote for? I voted for Kasey and DT, Carlin and Ania, Bryce and Trinity, and Melanie and Sincere. Okay, now here's the thing. I really thought my final, like the final two was gonna end up being Casey and TT and Bryce and Trinity. After Family Day, okay, sorry, let me back up. The reason I picked Melanie and Sincere over Zach and Kata, one, I just don't see it with Zach and Kata, okay? And I don't think Zach and Kata were ever gonna win, and I don't think Melanie and Sincere were ever gonna win, but. Zach and Kato were really annoying me with how much they were so consumed with the outside perception and when they got voted and where they ranked like that was just really giving me the ick. So I just didn't even want to like entertain them being in the in the final four. But like I said again, I knew that they didn't even have a chance. I knew that they weren't even going to be final two like there was no way right. So I was just like whatever not even going to waste that. And then Kenzie and Dylan were still too new and they were having issues had failing I already happened and then we could make the vote. I would have put them in and taken out Melanie and sincere. But then I also just thought, know, whatever, like Melanie and Sincere for dramatic effect because otherwise everything else would be too boring. Like, Carlin and I, nothing crazy is gonna happen with them. Bryce and Trinity, nothing crazy is gonna happen with them. Casey and Titi, they're kinda controversial. Love them or hate them, whatever. Like, they're gonna keep the buzz going. And then Melanie and Sincere, like, they're just constantly crumbling. So that was my logic on that was solely entertainment purposes and also logistically knowing like they weren't going to win had I thought that there was a potential that Melanie and sincere were going to win. No, I would not have voted for them, but I knew that there wasn't. So was kind of like, what does that even matter? anyways, besides the point, I just, I don't know. I don't know. I wish I could have watched family night first because I feel like Dylan and Kenzie definitely raised the stakes a little bit more would they have one? No, like let's just call a spade a spade what it is Bryson Trinity were really gonna win no matter what I truly truly did believe that there was a fighting chance for Casey and TT just because I like I said, I feel like they definitely have chemistry. They also had to face adversity and they had to go through some rough patches like they weren't together in the very beginning like there was just whatever but like I truly felt like they definitely had a fighting chance I'd I don't know, like call me crazy, but that's just the way it is. mean, how boring just to have one couple, one solid couple the entire time is like, I know you're going to win. Like that's such a boring show. So I felt like that just would have made it a little bit more exciting, but whatever that they didn't ask me my opinion. And that's was how that played out. So we're now we're going to crown the winner and I've already spoiled that and you should already know by now, but Bryson Trinity, they won. Okay, it was them and an I and Carl final two and then you have Melanie and sincere and Zach and Kata and I have to say Do we think Zach and Kata crashed out that they got fourth place the look on her face was like Are you kidding? Are you fourth? Melanie and sincere were above us which yeah fair but Here's another flip of all that like if you want to look at all of it as a whole Melanie and sincere absolutely terrible for each other but there is no denying that they are attracted to each other and like each other. Does that even make sense? Because to me, I just don't really feel like I feel like Kata likes Zach way more than Zach likes Kata and that's never gonna work. That's just never gonna work when a woman loves or likes the man way more in the beginning, like that is just never gonna work. We've seen that time and time again and you could just tell by the way he would joke or just just I don't know like the little things like you just I just feel like he wanted to be more in a relationship with Bryce than he did with Kata. So here's the thing it's like you're seeing this other couple that's gone through all of this craziness all of this drama all this heartbreak and you rank below them I feel like you should really take the time after the show look inward and kind of be like why did that why why is that how that was are we just boring Why do people feel like that? Because you could just tell she was purely shocked that they got fourth place. I mean, she was... Her boots were all shaken up whenever they were so far low on the karaoke vote. Anyways, I just really want to get her thoughts on being last because I could just tell she was not pleased and she wasn't fully expecting it and she just was kind of like, how? Literally how? Well, I'll tell you how because... Zach just isn't it, isn't it sweetheart? And so on the finale episode, it was really interesting. So, you you got to watch each of the couples like have their own like special date and just going back, I'm like, does production like I need to know how these dates were assigned. You know, do they ask each couple like, do you want a day date? Do you want a night date? What kind of date do you like? Do you want it like romantic and whimsical? Do you want it adventure packed? Do you want it? Tropical do you want it tranquil like what kind of date do you want because I'm just so curious how they assigned all of these if they just got to pick for themselves how they gave these to the couples they literally hate Zack and Kata they literally hate Zack and Kata I We didn't even I didn't even get to see the other two dates yet before I saw Zack and Kata's and I was like wow Why do they hate them so much? I would be so pissed if I watch this show back And I saw me having lunch in a little swampy area from a little speedboat. After I got all dressed up, my hair done, makeup done, I'm wearing this cute little outfit and then I get water splash all over me. Not just water, not ocean water, swamp water. And I'm eating like this little like manmade like sandwich that looks like it was from a 7-Eleven or a Panera. And I'm seeing all these other dates happen. I would be absolutely livid and ask production why. Unless they signed up for it, but that I don't know. So I'm taking this, I'm moving forward as if they didn't pick the dates, they didn't have any sort of say, it was just, this is the date you get. And that I would have a lot of questions that would need answers to. So like I said, Anaya and Carl and Bryson and Trinity, they haven't even had their dates yet. And... So we just see Melanie and Sincere's date and I'm already like, my God, this date is absolutely terrible. This is so bad. Like I'd be so pissed if Melanie and Sincere had that date and this was my date. Because Melanie and Sincere, were on this nice boat in the beautiful, beautiful ocean, water so blue, crystal, getting massages, making pizza, you know, very romantic, but also like relaxing. And then you're just seeing like the beautiful scenery. And then I'm in the swamp. my God. So I'm just like, they literally don't like that. I know. don't know. That was just my take. I'm like either they just really hate Zach. They hate them as a couple. I don't know who the production has beef with the most, but I just was like, they clearly just, I'd feel like aren't very, I don't know. I'm like, why would you do that to them? Why would you give them that date? There could have been something way better. Like there had to have been a million other options and that is what it was. I don't know. I just was absolutely floored because the other dates were just so beautiful. My favorite date was Anaya and Carl. Oh my gosh, their fairy tale dinner was absolutely stunning, gorgeous. Like it honestly looked like a proposal, like it was about to be a proposal. All the candle lights, the chandeliers, the flowers everywhere. It just looks so romantic and whimsical, like truly like a fairy tale, obviously, because it went along theme. Okay, they had this fairy tale book about their story. I'm so jealous. looked at my husband. was like, I want one. I want one of those. It looks so cute. Like the little aesthetic, like true fairy tale, you know, like the way it was like watercolor picture, like the font of it was like, it was, I don't even know what you call it, like a quail pen maybe. And like the pages, like it was like, where it was all rigid on the side. my gosh. And then they got to keep it. I was like, I want one of those. But was a really, was very a sweet day. It was so beautiful. And then of course, Bryce and Trinity, they had a very beautiful date as well. It was a very like intimate dinner setting. And then they had a nice little like show luau fire thing. I don't even know what you would really call it, but it was beautiful. Just Kate and Zach had the worst date you could possibly imagine. Think crocodile Dundee meeting him for lunch. That like, I don't know, I just was like, what is up with that? yeah, so the dates were really interesting. And I feel like every time like they came back and everybody was like telling their dates, like, he was just like, that's so cute. Like, why wasn't that my date? I don't know. Maybe she didn't again, maybe they really loved it, but I just was like, okay. Anyways, so yeah, so Bryce and Trinity, they win shocker, right? I mean, wasn't the most entertaining. was the most to be expected. Like obviously they won. just once I knew Casey and TT didn't make it to Final Four, I already knew that they were gonna win. Like there was no option there. There was no like, ooh, maybe. And according to my research, like there hasn't ever been a for sure couple that was gonna win. Like there's usually at least maybe one other couple like it could be. So I thought that that was very interesting. But I mean, they deserve to win. They weren't necessarily the most entertaining. mean, I don't think that's necessarily the classification to win Love Island. You know, it doesn't mean that you have to go through all of these things or be the most dramatic or the most entertaining. I think you just have to show that you really have chemistry and really care for each other. And I do also think it is partially, you know, popularity contest like that. That's no joke. I mean, that's just like with anything these days, like voting like you. Yeah, there's got to be some talent to it or some qualifications of it but like as you are as a person as a whole people also have to like you and enjoy you so I mean, yeah, it's kind of partially a Popularity contest so as much as I feel like people probably like an I and Carl They weren't there as long, you know, you don't have as much to go off of with that, you know, some people think did she just to cling on to Carla because she knew she wasn't going to get back with Casey and like, what is this going to look like outside of, you know, the show, whatever, because you know, Bryce is very much like, oh, she can come to my place. Trinity can stay as long as she want. There is no expiration date, like yada yada yada. So anyways, it was a very yeah, I was happy for them. Like they're super cute. Like they do genuinely seem like they really like each other. It's very promising with their families really meshing with each other and being very supportive of them. And yeah, I don't know. I have high hopes. I just, really hope that they last as long as possible. And I'm just very curious to see how all these other couples survive because I mean, we literally already have drama going on like post finale. Like I am trying so hard to keep up with it all. Please let me know if I'm missing anything. I mean, I'm sure that there's things happening as I'm talking right now, but my gosh, art. Like, first of all, let's just go back to Melanie and sincere for a second. Sinceres family going live during the finale and just basically talking trash on everyone. Melanie, girl, if you're listening to this, run, run. Why is your man's family watching the finale live and talking trash on these people that they don't even know? Like, first of all, it's not our fault that your son is getting obliterated on the internet and being dragged by his actions. The people inside aren't doing that. So why are you hating on them so much? Why are you treating them like that? They're talking about Ania and Carl and saying that Carl's like, looks like ET saying he looks like Shrek. Like, she's just like Fiona. She's clinging on to him. Why are you talking like that? Talking about Ariana Maddux, the host who has absolutely nothing to do with these couples and their situation. Like her nose is out of it. She could care less. She's just there to get the paycheck and. spit out her lines, calling her like, she's just like the sex symbol. Like she was on this show, like whatever her husband cheated on her. First of all, he was never her husband. So you don't even know what you're talking about. What are you talking about? And then, God, I don't know. They're just saying all these things. they're just talking about Trinity and Bryce. Like they don't really love each other. Like, what are you talking about? Why are you doing that? Melanie, literally run, run, because that's his family. Like that's the family that you would be meshing in with. If you stay with this man granted, yeah, sincere wasn't there. So we can't like put all that on him, I guess, but it just kind of shows like. That's his circle, that's his family, that's what they're doing. As far as I know, sincere's dad wasn't there. He wasn't making the comments. It was mainly his mom and maybe like his brothers cousins. I don't fully know that because like it was just like there were just so many different people. I think uncle. But I think mainly his mom was like running the live. She had so much to say. Why didn't she go to family night? Why didn't she let all this out? Why didn't she fly 20 hours to like speak her truth? So weird. I'm just very confused because I'm like no one in the house was like treating really sincere negatively. I mean, sure. Maybe they held him accountable, asked him questions, but I'm just like, why are you acting like that? Did you really think? that he deserved to win. Like, is that it? I don't know. They were just like going off saying that they got a bad edit or not. They sincere got a bad edit. I don't know. It's just it's just really kind of strange. I just I don't. Let see. Did she say anything else? I'm just trying to make sure like I put notes. OK, yeah. But I don't know. So I just really I'll be curious to see because like obviously, I mean, it hasn't been that long. since the finale. I mean, as far as we're concerned, all these couples are still together, or at least like entertaining the idea of being together. And it's hard to keep track because there's so many of them and it's such like a web. I mean, everybody for the most part, feel like is following each other maybe except from some of like the cost of more people like those kind of what but like the core people pretty sure all following each other on social media. But I just really hope that Melanie kind of just sees everything and really considers her decision. I feel like his family going on live and just talking bad about everybody and just really acting a fool acting like idiots. It's so embarrassing. Like he's already embarrassed himself enough. Now he has his family embarrassing him even more. And it's like, OK, this all makes sense as to why you behave this way. This is actually crazy talk like I can't even imagine this grown woman feeling like she needs to come in and talk about these young kids really I mean I know they're 21 and older but like they're still kid like and again like they had nothing to do with sincere as actions like they didn't make him do all those things crazy but but yeah and then Zach and Kata I don't fully know what's going on, like if there was something particular that happened because Trinity, Queen Trinity, the first thing that she pretty much does, like her first social media appearance post finale is she posts to her Instagram account basically saying, thank you everyone for all the love and support, like I'm so grateful for this experience, all this yada, yada, yada. Also in the same breath, do not treat, Zach like that, like we, do not tolerate the hate. He's a great person. Like basically kind of trying to shut that down and trying to any of her fans are acting like that to shut the hate down from Zach. I haven't necessarily seen anything in particular. Like I've seen comments about Zach the same way I've kind of seen them about everybody. Like they haven't really been anything more than anybody. else. So I don't know if there was something that happened that we're just not privy to. Maybe it got taken off the internet very quickly. Or maybe it's just like the DMs the messages like things that we're not seeing. But it's obviously enough for her to make a statement to be like this treatment of Zack is not acceptable. And it's unwarranted. It's not deserved. Please don't do this. Something had to have happened. or like there's just way more hate like we just obviously maybe didn't get a great edit of him on the show. I don't know. But I just was like, okay, amazing. Like, you know, she's sticking it for her friend. You know, she spent more time in the villa with him than all of us. So I guess maybe she knows more about his character. But you know, it just seems like Zach and Kata are staying strong. Like they're supporting one another like Zach has posted about Kata saying my rock and know, Kada has reshared it. It looks like for a moment she deactivated her Instagram yesterday, but now it's back up. I checked before I started recording. And when I say yesterday, that was Tuesday. Today's Wednesday. This podcast comes out tomorrow on the 16th. And yeah, it was gone. It was gone. I was like, what's going on? Like there must be some really, something really bad is doing behind the scenes. But I guess all is fine. she, it's back up and running, but they're like supporting each other. You know, they're all like arm, you know, arm and arm at the airport and all of that. So I guess that's good. Maybe more will come out. And then we already have Kenzie, you know, she's on Call Her Daddy. That episode came out, super excited for her. Honestly, justice for Kenzie, seriously, because let me just say really quick, I wasn't sure how I felt about her in the very beginning. to be honest, and I really hate saying this, so Kenzie, I apologize because I do love you. I'm a huge fan of you. I thought she was super annoying. I did. I was like, oh my gosh, this girl is nuts. She's insane. Can she stop smiling so much? Not that anything wrong is with smiling and being happy, but it was just like, oh my gosh, just so much. I'm like, can you just settle down just for a little bit? But I just think she's great. I think she's so cute. And yeah, she was on Call Her Daddy and I'm so glad that she was and kind of spoke her truth about, know, I feel like she got a lot of backlash on her, not only from the girls in the house, but from the outside world on just like her behavior with Love Island and how she was on there. You know, she got a lot of comparisons that she was to Sincere and all of that. And to her credit, how she put on there and she was like, you know, when I say like a handshake is like making out, it's like the same thing as a handshake. I'm not talking about normal life. I'm talking about in the villa, okay? Because we're all kissing everybody like in competitions, like, you know, you're trying to like feel out like who you have connections with, you know, she goes on to explain how like she has gotten her heart broken in the past. Like she is a very much a relationship girly, like she's not one to have a roster. That was the first time any of that situations has ever happened. Like she was in a very serious relationship, got her heart broken. So she was very hesitant to ever really entertain anybody ever again, but you know, she's in this environment where that is acceptable. Like that is kind of the name of the game. You know, she's like, you know, you go into the bachelorette and people are kissing everybody left and right. Like the same person is kissing 20, 20 other people. And you're like trying to get a feel like if there's that spark there, if there's that connection, like you may not know if it is, if it isn't. And then, you know, she addresses how, you know, they were all upset that she might've been having these same conversations with the guys of like, I want you to meet my family, I wanna do this, this and that. And she's like, duh. You're trying to see if it's gonna work. You're talking about your family, you're talking about your personal life to see how it will fit into that person's personal life and family. She's like, I'm sorry, with my connection, I actually wanna connect. I don't wanna talk about other couples, which I was like. Damn, that is good. That is some tea right there because she's not wrong. I do feel like a lot of the couples, a lot of the time they were posted up just like, what do think about them? Yeah, what do you think about that? What do you think about that? What do think they're talking about? yeah, they're really cute versus connecting with each other. Granted, we only got to see a little bit, but like, I don't think she was wrong in that. So she's like, yeah, I'm having multiple conversation, like the same conversation with multiple people, but that's what you're supposed to do. If I wasn't in Love Island and I was going on first dates with people, I mean, she didn't say this exactly, but like this was basically what she was saying. It's like, you're trying to figure out, okay, what's your home life like? What's your expectations? What's, you know, what do you like to do? Because you're trying to see if that fits in with you. So yeah, duh. And yeah, I just don't think it was fair at all that she was compared to Sinseer because... Sure, she might've said similar things, but they were not anywhere to the extreme of what Sinseer was doing to Melanie with these other people. And that was just, I don't know, that was just something so different. And she did mention she was like when Caleb came into the villa, it was very obvious that. you know, production, like they put him in there specifically for me and like he knew everything already about me. Like he was coming on so strong. Like not that I wasn't interested or had an attraction to him, but it was like I've already like started building something with Kayla or Corbin. So for you to just like come in and expect me to just like jump like that's not how that works for me, you know? And she was like, that's where it was also like lustful. What are you talking about? Because like, sure, we're all attractive here, but like. It's built on connections where it's like some people as soon as somebody attractive walks in and then they just flip like a switch, you know, it was like what she was saying was making a lot of sense to me, you know, it's like she was excited about Caleb like yeah, he is her type whatever cute whatever But like she was already building something emotionally and connecting with Corbin like it wasn't gonna be able to just like switch like that but Yeah, I don't know. It was very interesting. You guys should go take a listen to that. So I'm just excited, but she did say, you know, she wants to move to Los Angeles. She does want to continue to pursue things with Dylan. She really felt a connection with Dylan and she's very excited about it. And she thinks like they're going to get stronger after this. And she understood like his whole hesitation thing. Like she got that, but she was, you know, really just trying to explain herself and like the dynamic, like that's not the normal, like especially, you know, the whole handshake. making out thing like she's like, I don't view like in everyday life. It's just like this situation is an anomaly. And yeah, and I did think it was really cute, like whenever they got their phones back and she FaceTime her dad and her dad was just being so supportive and was like, you'll never believe, you know, the perception people have of you and like the edits and stuff like that. And, know, and he also confirmed for her. He's like, I understood what you meant by saying, you know, kissing is like a handshake in there because he was like kissing can change everything. It wasn't until I kissed your mom that I was like, there is something different with this woman. It's different when you have that connection. You get that spark, you get that little feeling of like, it's different with this person. So I just felt like that was very sweet. He was very supportive of her. But again, it also is just so interesting to me. was talking to my husband. was like, it is very, know, because she was so shocked when her dad was explaining to her. the perception that people were having of her and like she was like the sex crazed mania and just like this wild girl and just doing splits all the time and just kissing left, right, front and center everybody and just all of this. She's like, why? Like her mind was blown and it's like, dang, like it is crazy to think how everybody just like, you know, they don't know what's being shown on the show, like what's making the cut. So, you know, Yeah, I don't know. like, it really just shows how much is not shown and how much a narrative can be spun to what the production wants, how they want a storyline to go to really feed into it. So, you we're only seeing a snippet, like, you know, it's just kind of really does show. I mean, we always hear it's like, you're only getting a little bit, but I just feel like it validates that for someone who's never been on a show before and her being so just like, my gosh, like that's what people are getting from me being on this show. because she knows she's lived so much life in that island in the villa. So she's like, that's what's getting like my character basically. So it was really eye opening for all of that. But yeah, I'll be really curious to see how everything continues to play out, how things continue to go. I'm sure there's going to be more podcasts that these islanders will be on. I'll be super excited to hear what they have to say. and it was a really fun season. mean, can I be honest? I don't really, I'm not gonna be like jumping at the seams if like Bryce and Trinity are on a podcast. Like I really wanna hear Melanie. I really wanna hear Kata. I wanna hear them, even Parmita maybe. But I just don't, I don't really need to hear from Bryce and Trinity. Obviously like I wanna know what's going on in their relationship. But like for a podcast, I don't really need that. I felt like Kenzie was really good. She gave us some more insight as to what was going on. know, she mentioned that she didn't really fully feel like she got the full support from the girls. Like she has a great relationship with them and she loves them, but she did feel like there was kind of like this double standard with how she was moving and stuff like that. I don't know. She was like, I just feel like there were just certain things that didn't come across well. Like I, I wasn't understood. I didn't really get the chance to explain myself, but Yeah, I don't know. It's very interesting and I'm just super excited to see how it all plays out and how it all continues to play out. I'm sure like it won't stop there. there's so much to be had. If you don't know, August 31st is when the reunion is gonna happen, which thank goodness, I'm so glad there's a reunion. I just feel like all shows need a reunion. It's gonna be hosted by Arianna Maddox and Andy Cohen. I'm so, so excited. I hope we get the scoop. I hope we get all the juice. I hope we get so many Unanswered questions, maybe some clarity. I don't know like I'll be so considerate Concerious Wow, I'll be so curious to know if sincere like I'm sure they're probably address sincere family going live I hope he has some answers for that. I'm sure it'll be very PR like I don't condone my family did I don't know why they did what they did. I know that they just like love me whatever yeah boring but like I hope that gets addressed and then I'll just be so curious to see which relationship is standing true today and which has fizzled out, which are saying like they're working on it. Like, you know, I'll be so curious to see how all of that goes. It'll be super exciting. So yeah, there'll be lots to look forward to. I'll be counting down the days. Like I literally, like I said, I'm in a withdrawal, but I think I'll be okay because Big Brother has started. So if you don't watch Big Brother, I suggest that you start. It's only been like, three episodes so far, there's gonna be another one tonight, but you won't know that until tomorrow, whenever this posts, but it's not too late to start Big Brother because I will have some Big Brother segments and I will have opinions and I should be having maybe some Big Brother former house guests on to co-host with me. So yeah, we have a lot of exciting things to talk about and I'm excited, but yeah, so that is it for Love Island season eight until the reunion, which I for sure will recap, but Before I close it off, I do want to get into Sheik and Week of the Week. And it all kind of cuts from the same cloth. It's all going to be Love Island related and it's all from the same family because my Sheik goes to Sincere's dad. I thought it was huge of him to come and put his son into place to stick up for Melanie. He didn't have to do that. He definitely didn't have to fly 20 hours to Fiji. He could have just been like, not my problem. I'm not going to do that. I don't even want to just like acknowledge it, make it a thing. But he did. He flew and he put his son into place, whether his son took it to heart and is going to implement those changes that he says he's going to, that'll be another thing. But regardless, Sincere's dad is the dad that other dads should probably make note of. Take note how to be a dad to a son because you guys are raising how people are going to be treating your future daughters and all of that. So.
