- 0:00Hello, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin. Today,
- 0:03I want to do something a little different.
- 0:05I want to tell you about an experience I recently had when I took Ariel to Urban Air.
- 0:11And before I even get into the story, I want to make something very clear.
- 0:16This isn't just about giving a business a good review.
- 0:20This is about recognizing people because sometimes we move so quickly through
- 0:25life that when somebody treats us well, when somebody
- 0:30shows kindness, patience, professionalism, or simply makes us feel welcomed.
- 0:36We say thank you and then we move on.
- 0:39But every once in a while, I think we need to stop and actually recognize it.
- 0:44So let's do that now, because Have Faith, Let It Begin, Urban Air Review starts right now.
- 0:50Welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin. This is Ariel Santana.
- 0:54Can you believe I'm seven years old already? I'm old enough now to introduce my dad.
- 1:00Ladies and gentlemen, your host, my dad, Angel Santana.
- 1:39Hello, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith. Let it begin. Let's get started with the review.
- 1:43So, taking Ariel to Urban Air. Let's get started.
- 1:46So, I took Ariel to Urban Air, and from the moment we got there,
- 1:51I started noticing the little things.
- 1:55You know me. I'm a people person, okay? We know that already.
- 1:59I pay attention to how people communicate, how they treat families,
- 2:03how they respond when you have a question, and especially how they treat our children.
- 2:09And my experience with Urban Air was one of those experiences where I walked
- 2:13away thinking, you know what?
- 2:17These people deserve a shout out. It wasn't just one thing. It was the overall experience.
- 2:23It was the professionalism. It was the atmosphere. It was how we were treated.
- 2:29And most importantly for me, it was watching Ariel have that experience.
- 2:34You know, as a parent, that changes everything. When your child is somewhere,
- 2:39you're watching differently.
- 2:41You're paying attention differently, right? You're looking to see,
- 2:45are they comfortable? Are they being treated well?
- 2:48Do I feel comfortable with the people around them? Those things matter.
- 2:54So people like Molly, Holly, and all those that were around from the go-kart
- 2:59area to the zip line. I forget all everybody's names and I apologize,
- 3:04but I did speak to Liz, the manager.
- 3:06And there are a few people I specifically want to recognize,
- 3:10you know, like Molly, Holly, because they're the ones that were the first interactions.
- 3:15So I want to say two words. Thank you. And I mean that seriously.
- 3:20Thank you for the way you treated us and for being part of such a positive experience.
- 3:26Sometimes you may not realize the impact you're having because for you,
- 3:30it may simply feel like you're just doing your job.
- 3:35The person on the other side remembers how you made them feel.
- 3:39And that's something I've talked about on this podcast before.
- 3:43People remember kindness. People remember patience. People remember when somebody
- 3:49takes that extra moment.
- 3:51And they definitely remember when their children are treated well.
- 3:55So to Molly and Holly and to the manager, Liz, and to the rest of the staff,
- 4:00those ones, especially the girls from the, you know, that are just getting into
- 4:03their senior year of high school. We talked about that as well.
- 4:07I wanted to say your names because you deserve to hear them.
- 4:11And I'm sorry that I didn't get everybody's name into my memory,
- 4:14but I do mean everybody that worked yesterday.
- 4:17For me, it was yesterday, August 14th. So anybody that was on staff between
- 4:22opening and about one o'clock in the afternoon, they all were worked with.
- 4:27Even the gentleman that had his alumni shirt as well.
- 4:31Now, to the entire Urban Air staff, but I don't want to stop there.
- 4:37To the entire staff at Urban Air, I have just to say thank you because a great
- 4:43experience usually isn't created by one person.
- 4:48It's a culture. It's everybody doing their part.
- 4:51The person who greets you, the person who answers questions,
- 4:55the people working behind the scenes, the people making sure everything is running
- 4:59the way it is and it's way supposed to, sometimes those people never get mentioned.
- 5:04So today, I'm mentioning you.
- 5:07Thank you to the entire Urban Air team.
- 5:10There's a bigger lesson here. And here's where the experience,
- 5:15this experience, got me thinking.
- 5:17What kind of experience do people have after spending time with us?
- 5:20Not just business, us.
- 5:23When somebody encourages us, when somebody encounters you today,
- 5:28how do they feel afterward?
- 5:31Did they feel seen? Did they feel respected? Did they feel welcomed?
- 5:35Did they feel like they mattered?
- 5:37Because we don't always need some huge opportunity to make a difference in somebody's life.
- 5:43Sometimes it's just doing the small things well. Showing kindness,
- 5:47being patient, offering a smile, taking an extra minute, doing your job with integrity.
- 5:53Treating somebody childlike that matter.
- 5:58That's also part of my ministry too. That's love in action. And sometimes you
- 6:02don't even know you're doing it.
- 6:05So gratitude should be spoken.
- 6:08And I've learned that when you're grateful for somebody, tell them. Don't assume they know.
- 6:13If somebody did something that made your day better, tell them.
- 6:18If somebody treated your family well, tell them. If an employee went above and
- 6:23beyond, tell their manager. Leave the review.
- 6:26Say their name. Give them credit.
- 6:29Because there's enough negativity in this world.
- 6:32People are very quick to tell everybody when something goes wrong.
- 6:36Maybe we need to become just as quick to tell everybody when something goes right.
- 6:43And that's what I'm doing today. So, in conclusion, thank you Urban Air.
- 6:49So again, from me personally, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 6:53And thank you for the experience that Ariel and I had.
- 6:56Thank you again to Molly. Thank you to Holly. Thank you to Liz.
- 7:00And thank you to every single member of the staff who helps create that environment.
- 7:05Keep doing what you're doing.
- 7:07You never know when something that feels routine to you becomes a memory for someone else.
- 7:13And to everyone listening today, look around.
- 7:17Who's doing something good that you've forgotten to acknowledge?
- 7:20Maybe today is the day that you tell them.
- 7:23Maybe today is the day that you leave that review.
- 7:26Maybe today is the day that you say their name. Because appreciation shouldn't
- 7:31only be something we feel.
- 7:33Sometimes we need to say it out loud.
- 7:36Well, I'm saying it. I had a great time.
- 7:40On behalf of all of us here, this is Angel Santana. Thank you for being a part
- 7:44of our show and this weekly review.
- 7:46And never forget, have faith, let it begin. I can't wait to get a membership there.
- 7:52Maybe even have a job. Are you
- 7:54hiring? Because I want to work that go-kart area. That was fun. Take care.
