In episode 155 we talked about the sandbox, but today we're going deeper. We're focusing on two very important items you need for sand play. Luna: Ooh, I love sand toys. Let me guess — bucket and shovel? Lucas: Exactly. In Spanish, a bucket is 'el cubo'. Say it with me: el cubo. Luna: El cubo. Lucas: Good. And a shovel is 'la pala'. La pala. Luna: La pala. Lucas: Perfect. Now, if you want to make a sandcastle, you say 'Vamos a hacer un castillo de arena'. Luna: Vamos a hacer un castillo de arena. That sounds fun. Lucas: Yeah. And if you're looking for your bucket, you can ask '¿Dónde está el cubo?' Where is the bucket? Luna: ¿Dónde está el cubo? Lucas: Great. And someone might answer 'Aquí está la pala' — here is the shovel. Luna: Aquí está la pala. Lucas: Let's put it all together in a little scene. Imagine you're at the sandbox with a friend. Luna: Okay, I'll be me, you be my friend. Lucas: Deal. So I say: 'Vamos a hacer un castillo de arena'. Luna: Sí, vamos. ¿Dónde está el cubo? Lucas: Aquí está el cubo. Y aquí está la pala. Luna: Perfecto. Now we can make our castle. Lucas: See how easy that was? You used all the new phrases. Luna: Yeah, I love it. And you know what?
