- 0:00Speaker 1: Coach, the energy out there felt different. What changed for
- 0:03Speaker 1: the team today?
- 0:03Speaker 2: It was a new game day scratches from the California
- 0:06Speaker 2: Lottery players everything.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Those games sent the team's energy through the roof.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Are you saying it was the off field play that
- 0:11Speaker 1: made the difference on the field.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Hey, little play makes your day, and today it made
- 0:15Speaker 3: the game.
- 0:16Speaker 1: That's all for now, Coach, one more question play than
- 0:19Speaker 1: New Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco forty nine ers and
- 0:22Speaker 1: Los Angeles ram scratchers from the California Lottery.
- 0:25Speaker 4: A little play can make your day.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Peace made responsibily. Must be eighteen years or older to
- 0:29Speaker 2: purchase late or claim in.
- 0:30Speaker 5: The Netflix series that you had when you went like
- 0:32Speaker 5: I think it was seven days. Like you just try
- 0:34Speaker 5: to just only spend with black businesses, and he's like
- 0:37Speaker 5: even if you, it's like everything has to be.
- 0:39Speaker 2: You got to learn to cooperate. You know, Wars won
- 0:41Speaker 2: without allies. I'm sorry that off points, but the point
- 0:44Speaker 2: that I'm trying to make is that the federal government,
- 0:47Speaker 2: at one point, instead of making the big banks to
- 0:49Speaker 2: fair business in terms of redline and stuff with black people,
- 0:51Speaker 2: said no, we'll just support the black banks, and they
- 0:54Speaker 2: never came through on their promise. Right, and they still
- 0:57Speaker 2: want to come vote, but they never came through on
- 0:59Speaker 2: their prom We should be forced to have the federal
- 1:01Speaker 2: government to do that, and at the same time we
- 1:04Speaker 2: should be cooperating with larger bankings institutions, many of which
- 1:07Speaker 2: whose banks were built directly off the backs and its
- 1:09Speaker 2: slaved after. Right, when you look at stocks and buns,
- 1:12Speaker 2: a lot of that is you wasn't starting the bun.
- 1:14Speaker 2: You weren't the problem, That's what you were. So my
- 1:17Speaker 2: thing is.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Again, I learned selling drugs me and.
- 1:22Speaker 2: You could be at war a year ago and year
- 1:23Speaker 2: a lady, and the prices is right, and shit, I
- 1:26Speaker 2: don't want to kill you no more.
- 1:28Speaker 6: I got a hundred bands, you got a hundred maths.
- 1:30Speaker 6: We got a two hundred and fift do dollars deal.
- 1:31Speaker 6: My comtey got twenty by your Bundy got twenty five.
- 1:33Speaker 6: So at a certain point, it's not that the pain
- 1:36Speaker 6: isn't there, it's not that the tragedy isn't there. At
- 1:38Speaker 6: what point do we have to start understanding that to
- 1:42Speaker 6: win a war? I must Ally, the United States and
- 1:44Speaker 6: Russia have never liked each other, just two radically different
- 1:47Speaker 6: concepts on how to treat people and how to different money.
- 1:50Speaker 6: But when Joermany popped up and was Omar and everybody.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Motherfucker's found a way to get a low shut up
- 1:58Speaker 3: to a lot of soldier.
- 2:00Speaker 2: So we we have to we have to think with
- 2:02Speaker 2: the same mentality that I don't have to like to
- 2:05Speaker 2: love you, but in matters of strengthening me as an
- 2:09Speaker 2: individual in my understanding what I can do in my group,
- 2:11Speaker 2: in our community, our partner, or ally with you.
- 2:14Speaker 3: In a matter of big world. And that's just that's
- 2:17Speaker 3: just what it is.
- 2:18Speaker 5: So let me let me let me ask you a
- 2:19Speaker 5: question because I know not only are your entrepreneur, but
- 2:22Speaker 5: you're really in the politics.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I don't want to be. That was the second.
- 2:28Speaker 7: That was the saying because what you just said is
- 2:30Speaker 7: what you said about the president.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Now, like I don't have to like him or even
- 2:33Speaker 4: vote for him, but if he does something that helps
- 2:35Speaker 4: my community, I should take advantage of that.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Because I'm taking advantage. I'm taking advantage of everything I'm telling.
- 2:39Speaker 3: But that's every president. Yeah, it ain't just president. Now
- 2:42Speaker 3: that there has been no president that has been for
- 2:46Speaker 3: the black community. That yeah, that's the fact. That's that
- 2:51Speaker 3: has been no president that has been for the black community.
- 2:56Speaker 2: But if your policy affects the black community in a
- 3:00Speaker 2: positive way, which can affect the greater community, I have
- 3:03Speaker 2: to pay you some attention. It's that sif I have
- 3:06Speaker 2: to pay you some Obamas for it. No, not really,
- 3:11Speaker 2: I'm clearing what I say or how I said. There
- 3:14Speaker 2: has been no president that's for the black community. But
- 3:19Speaker 2: if that president playing in any way or policy helps
- 3:24Speaker 2: the black community, I'm for that thing. You get what
- 3:28Speaker 2: I'm saying. I rate all us presidents at about a
- 3:32Speaker 2: ce different variations from a C minus down into the
- 3:36Speaker 2: d's too. You know, when you start off with slave
- 3:39Speaker 2: masters and presidents, that's a really funky comment. So you
- 3:44Speaker 2: have to spend your life as a person of color
- 3:47Speaker 2: reconciling the fact that the dollars that in your pocket
- 3:49Speaker 2: will bent me and the slave masters that are only
- 3:51Speaker 2: that that that give you work and value to the
- 3:53Speaker 2: things you're doing own people, and that wealth is something.
- 3:55Speaker 2: So you know, when we get walking, we get mad,
- 3:57Speaker 2: we want to castigate rappers and then a tightness and
- 4:01Speaker 2: right thing with your money, you had better do jacks.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Now you're twenty nine, bill that you're tipping the stripper
- 4:04Speaker 2: with because hit a genocide on people that were from
- 4:07Speaker 2: middle of America and never were read and were here
- 4:09Speaker 2: before you got here. So you're passing a genocidal bill
- 4:13Speaker 2: to pay for your Sarah and your your need to
- 4:15Speaker 2: get grinded on. And you've never chastised yourself enough to say,
- 4:19Speaker 2: I'll only pay by PayPal because.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Or greenwood.
- 4:26Speaker 7: So I'm by the way.
- 4:28Speaker 3: You know what you know?
- 4:30Speaker 2: Man, in matters of money, we had better learn that
- 4:33Speaker 2: we're going to have to pack some emotion to the
- 4:36Speaker 2: side to accomplish specific goals from a monetary standpoints, so
- 4:42Speaker 2: that we can take care of ourselves because no one's
- 4:44Speaker 2: coming to save us. Nothing's coming out in sky to
- 4:47Speaker 2: save us. Karma, although it's a nice concept. Evil people
- 4:52Speaker 2: live longer and they seem to be happier. George Buston
- 4:56Speaker 2: down he was ninety middle something. So but you were.
- 4:59Speaker 3: You were ship Bernie Sanders absolutely, so you work.
- 5:03Speaker 2: You have progressive I guess liberal views. If voting for
- 5:09Speaker 2: Bernie Sanders takes my taxes up out of the forties
- 5:13Speaker 2: into the fifties, just as succeed takes care the next
- 5:18Speaker 2: twenty five to thirty years of Americans in terms of education,
- 5:22Speaker 2: health care, trade that trade and college education and basics
- 5:26Speaker 2: and extensive health care, and provide social programs that grow
- 5:30Speaker 2: us as a country. I have no aversion to supporting it,
- 5:35Speaker 2: and in fact, I think that much of his policy
- 5:37Speaker 2: has been robbed and looted by both parties at this point,
- 5:41Speaker 2: versus us getting behind the person who wanted to give
- 5:44Speaker 2: us everything we would have needed during this pandemic, including
- 5:48Speaker 2: some type of universal income, including some type of health
- 5:52Speaker 2: care that was universal leading toward it, including decriminalization marijuana,
- 5:56Speaker 2: including a federal task force that would have dealt with row,
- 6:00Speaker 2: including knowledge that would.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Have affected us.
- 6:03Speaker 2: But because we didn't do it, because we didn't go
- 6:05Speaker 2: that move, or because we got robbed of it, or whatever.
- 6:07Speaker 2: The theory is being, you gotta you know, you gotta
- 6:09Speaker 2: be with what you got, and you better master your coin,
- 6:12Speaker 2: you know, because we're we're in a system where as
- 6:14Speaker 2: much as they want to say they care like Vernie,
- 6:16Speaker 2: they don't. And if you're if you're not going to
- 6:20Speaker 2: allow me to pay my ten or fifteen extra to
- 6:23Speaker 2: let someone like him leave the way, don't get mad.
- 6:25Speaker 2: And I'm gonna try to keep an extra ten of
- 6:27Speaker 2: fifteen percent and figure out who the fuck Trump's tax
- 6:30Speaker 2: layer is.
- 6:32Speaker 3: On the West side.
- 6:34Speaker 2: But I didn't, you know, I didn't. I didn't vote
- 6:37Speaker 2: for the evil person.
- 6:39Speaker 7: I want that may be I want to go back
- 6:40Speaker 7: to it.
- 6:41Speaker 4: I want to go back to Greenway for a second,
- 6:42Speaker 4: because a lot of times, and even in the book,
- 6:45Speaker 4: it dies into the fact of black banks being put
- 6:49Speaker 4: in neighborhoods right where deposits weren't coming in at a
- 6:52Speaker 4: frequent rate, and so they had to charge higher interest
- 6:55Speaker 4: rates when they weren't loaning out money because most of
- 6:56Speaker 4: people don't really understand how banks take money the losses, right,
- 7:00Speaker 4: So my thing is like, is Greenwood is there going
- 7:04Speaker 4: to be similar how other interest rates are going to
- 7:05Speaker 4: be competing with the big bank?
- 7:07Speaker 2: So that's their goal first versus deposits savings, and so
- 7:11Speaker 2: it's steps.
- 7:12Speaker 3: This is where we are. First.
- 7:14Speaker 2: First, the goal is to wipe out check pashing her,
- 7:16Speaker 2: to wipe out the main the main parasites in poor
- 7:23Speaker 2: and working class people's fly. So you know, people here
- 7:26Speaker 2: saved twenty forty bucks. It doesn't sound like much to them,
- 7:29Speaker 2: But when you're talking about now you can save ten
- 7:31Speaker 2: percent of your income, what about and the person gets
- 7:34Speaker 2: to raise and get five on your thousand. Now you're
- 7:36Speaker 2: saving more money. So that is the attack, and the
- 7:38Speaker 2: next phase is in loans and home ownership, automobile.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Ownership, and then the phase after that.
- 7:43Speaker 2: So I like the fact that Ryan is, unlike in
- 7:47Speaker 2: the past, is not trying to do everything himself at
- 7:50Speaker 2: the same time as much as he's seeking And they're
- 7:53Speaker 2: talking to allies at this moment realizing who are they
- 7:56Speaker 2: going to get into business with in terms of partnering
- 7:57Speaker 2: with larger institutions that recover.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Who are the.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Institutions that your money is an actually going to be
- 8:02Speaker 2: sitting with and as a platform, what they can do
- 8:04Speaker 2: to reduce the even cost of you, help you become
- 8:06Speaker 2: more financially literate, help you to save.
- 8:08Speaker 4: And so I'm thinking that's the first step to eradicate the
- 8:10Speaker 4: check cashing. Yes, push in the back of the day
- 8:12Speaker 4: was also the cell phone store.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Absolutely, that's level.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Then we got the deposits and loans, and so I
- 8:19Speaker 4: guess the next the last stage would be business loan,
- 8:22Speaker 4: small business loans.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Yeah, well, small man, I don't think that's the last stage.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I just think that I just think that if you're
- 8:27Speaker 2: going to run nine miles. Plot out your first three,
- 8:29Speaker 2: then plot out your next three, and then your final three.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Right. God, so let's just say those are the first
- 8:33Speaker 3: three miles.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Yeah, and I saw I wrestling with Ryan said like,
- 8:36Speaker 5: I think fifty of black businesses. Oh, black businesses get
- 8:41Speaker 5: loans at fifty percent lower rate white businesses.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I think it's we're returned, yeah, at fifty percent lower rates.
- 8:47Speaker 2: We're also denied in comparable application. We're denied twenty one
- 8:51Speaker 2: percent of the time in white some on eight.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Okay, So any so I'm assuming that's something that you
- 8:56Speaker 5: guys will be trying to eradicate as far as what.
- 9:00Speaker 2: There's definitely going to be. You know, Greenwood is not Superman,
- 9:02Speaker 2: doesn't come in the same What it is is a
- 9:05Speaker 2: part of the Avengers. It's a part of alternative ways
- 9:09Speaker 2: now for us to take control around dollar. And that's
- 9:12Speaker 2: everything from a new black credit union that's popping up.
- 9:15Speaker 2: That's everything from the traditional black banks that are already
- 9:17Speaker 2: in the market, whether it be Citizens Trust or Carver
- 9:19Speaker 2: or One United. And that's new platforms and fintech like Greenwood.
- 9:23Speaker 2: You know, I'm an advocate for you know, if you
- 9:25Speaker 2: want to if you want to get the freedom, take
- 9:28Speaker 2: a whole lot of buses, you know, don't depend on
- 9:31Speaker 2: everyone going in one bus, you know what I'm saying.
- 9:33Speaker 2: And he even told me and Ryan don't travel together,
- 9:37Speaker 2: you know what I mean. He's just like what you
- 9:39Speaker 2: guys are doing is that, seeon, don't even travel together.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Because if freedom is the objective, there may be slightly
- 9:45Speaker 2: different variations of but we'll get there even if it's
- 9:48Speaker 2: not at the same time. But I think we need
- 9:50Speaker 2: a lot of pistons firing in an engine, not just one,
- 9:53Speaker 2: and we have to we have to begin to end.
- 9:57Speaker 2: I will want or need to critique or overly criticize
- 10:02Speaker 2: based on the past failure, because the failure is something
- 10:05Speaker 2: you learned from that.
- 10:06Speaker 3: And that's the part.
- 10:06Speaker 4: It was like if people understood their relationship with the money,
- 10:10Speaker 4: they would understand. It's like if my iPhone breaks, I
- 10:13Speaker 4: don't say I'm never using Apples yet anything. I'm just
- 10:15Speaker 4: gonna get another iPhone, you know what I mean. But
- 10:17Speaker 4: if we like and I bank with citizens, shout out
- 10:19Speaker 4: to citizens. But if they like, if they mess up
- 10:23Speaker 4: with deposit, It's not like y'all never banking with them again.
- 10:25Speaker 7: I'm gonna give them the same.
- 10:26Speaker 3: We gotta get it fixed.
- 10:27Speaker 2: And again that's why I tell people like one day
- 10:29Speaker 2: as a leader, which I wasn't even in the in
- 10:32Speaker 2: thanks to be, But they pay another people like that
- 10:34Speaker 2: black women to make me leave. But you know, I'm
- 10:38Speaker 2: going to say, my bad, I fucked up. Yeah, you know,
- 10:41Speaker 2: let me. Let me get back on the bus, figure out.
- 10:43Speaker 2: And there's another reason I constantly consult with people too,
- 10:47Speaker 2: you know what I mean? Even before saying yes it is,
- 10:49Speaker 2: I called around to black men who had ran banks.
- 10:53Speaker 2: I called around the people work, like, what do you
- 10:54Speaker 2: think of this? What's fin take? Helped me understand and
- 10:57Speaker 2: I got, you know, at least and I already knew.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I already trusted Andy, I already trusted Ryan because I've
- 11:02Speaker 2: seen him do it. But I just wanted to learn more.
- 11:05Speaker 2: I'm gonna cost like I found you guys, he's learning.
- 11:08Speaker 2: It's kind of bouncing around.
- 11:20Speaker 3: We definitely right.
- 11:27Speaker 2: I appreciate that. So what's your all right?
- 11:29Speaker 5: So as far as business, because you're a business owner,
- 11:32Speaker 5: we're sitting in a business right now. So as you said,
- 11:35Speaker 5: Brick and mart especially Brick and Martar businesses have been
- 11:38Speaker 5: hit tremendously hard since the pandemic, especially black businesses. Over
- 11:42Speaker 5: forty percent of black businesses have completely closed. So what
- 11:47Speaker 5: is your opinion, because I personally think that, like some
- 11:51Speaker 5: of the problems in the Black community as far as businesses,
- 11:53Speaker 5: that we're too reliant on brick and martar because that's
- 11:56Speaker 5: what we know, right. It's like we know sneaker stores,
- 11:58Speaker 5: we know hair salons, we knowstaurants, we know barbershops. They're
- 12:01Speaker 5: all great because there's service based businesses. But in times
- 12:05Speaker 5: like this, it's difficult because you have overhead, you have staff,
- 12:09Speaker 5: you have things of that nature. So now you're you're
- 12:11Speaker 5: going into the financial space, but you still have a
- 12:13Speaker 5: brick and mortar business. You think there's a balance between
- 12:15Speaker 5: the two for business owners or I mean, I think
- 12:17Speaker 5: there has to be for certain businesses. You know, I
- 12:19Speaker 5: think that people like the congregated Fellowship. So you can
- 12:22Speaker 5: only keep churches, restaurants, liquor stores, and barbershops clothes on all.
- 12:27Speaker 5: You know them guys are gonna hang in front of
- 12:28Speaker 5: the liquor store, you know not people are.
- 12:31Speaker 7: Going to come and get Groomuse are essential business, essential business, and.
- 12:36Speaker 3: You can't get drunk.
- 12:37Speaker 2: You go go're allowed the politicians sneaking us all.
- 12:40Speaker 3: But we have to change methodology in here.
- 12:43Speaker 2: You come here now either you have a mask or
- 12:46Speaker 2: we have one available. Take your temperature by pointment, and
- 12:49Speaker 2: only if we have four people in the chair, can
- 12:51Speaker 2: only be four of the people sitting.
- 12:52Speaker 3: So you know, and my.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Staff is great about that. I gotta I gotta give
- 12:56Speaker 2: them that. They keep it clean, they keep it sanitized.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Our bathrooms are always on that A stipper of mine
- 13:00Speaker 2: makes sure I judged businesses.
- 13:02Speaker 5: That's what was like, Yo, this this might be the
- 13:04Speaker 5: cleanest barbershop I've ever seen in my life. Like you
- 13:07Speaker 5: see Macul shots out Selene, what's my new guy's name?
- 13:10Speaker 5: Shots out to Sam Celeen. I thought Sam was Celeen
- 13:14Speaker 5: is such a pro.
- 13:15Speaker 2: He got hired as an intern paid internship, you know,
- 13:18Speaker 2: not a lot, but I would have bought a few panchoys.
- 13:21Speaker 2: But Selene also has has a talent of camera work.
- 13:26Speaker 2: And he said, hey, I worked myself out of internship.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I'm still going to do this type of stuff for
- 13:30Speaker 2: the shot, but I'm going to find a comparable replacement
- 13:33Speaker 2: and train him. So I got to give him. Those
- 13:35Speaker 2: are the type of people you want. I want to
- 13:36Speaker 2: say and I spent a lot of years floundering in
- 13:39Speaker 2: Barbara because what we had barbaring, because what we had
- 13:42Speaker 2: was people who were used to the old school way
- 13:44Speaker 2: in which I cut hair.
- 13:45Speaker 3: All day, but I don't clean up all day. It
- 13:48Speaker 3: was I paid bouver rent.
- 13:49Speaker 2: So I feel like I'm an independent contractor. But you
- 13:52Speaker 2: never have to worry about your air being hot.
- 13:54Speaker 3: You never have to worry about it being coffee.
- 13:56Speaker 2: You never have to or those things get solved quickly,
- 13:59Speaker 2: but you never think of about the variation of boothhunt
- 14:01Speaker 2: every changes that type stuff.
- 14:02Speaker 3: So I love.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Working with people that get it, you know what I'm saying.
- 14:06Speaker 2: And I love working with people that take cleaning the
- 14:08Speaker 2: corners of a building as seriously as they.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Take making sure that the light is on outside in
- 14:13Speaker 3: that register.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Because you know, I have poured a lot into a
- 14:18Speaker 2: dream that really is a platform for other people to
- 14:20Speaker 2: prosper from. You know, I want to. I will not
- 14:24Speaker 2: have succeeded if we do not do what Chick fil
- 14:27Speaker 2: A did. Chick fil A took a novel concept and
- 14:32Speaker 2: gave the first opportunity for franchising.
- 14:34Speaker 3: To members of the church and members of the family.
- 14:36Speaker 3: They gave it to.
- 14:37Speaker 2: People they knew would take pride in it. So Chick
- 14:39Speaker 2: fil A has always been ran. It's a different type
- 14:42Speaker 2: of pride.
- 14:43Speaker 3: You know.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Andy Young talks about going and seeing Kathy Truitt walk
- 14:47Speaker 2: into stores and start cooking hisself. You know that that
- 14:52Speaker 2: is a mission that's greater than I want to make
- 14:54Speaker 2: a lot of money, that has added locations, that has
- 14:57Speaker 2: sent kids to college because they got an amazing scholarship fund.
- 15:00Speaker 2: People genuinely seen happens when you walk from Chick fil A.
- 15:02Speaker 2: You're going to McDonald a little different that on McDonald
- 15:09Speaker 2: You know, they might not.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Be treated.
- 15:12Speaker 2: It too much like Chick fil A grow ownership right
- 15:14Speaker 2: from behind these barber chairs, behind that desk. So you know,
- 15:18Speaker 2: if Selim or Sam or any intern that comes to
- 15:20Speaker 2: here grows to become an owner, you know, shouts out
- 15:23Speaker 2: to Mliss over with the Hawks, who went from being
- 15:25Speaker 2: a ball girl. I think any NBA for a now
- 15:28Speaker 2: runs marketing for the Hawks. Those are the type of
- 15:30Speaker 2: stories I want my classform to create, and that does
- 15:33Speaker 2: come with making money, but that comes from having a
- 15:35Speaker 2: team of people that add to that in that way.
- 15:38Speaker 7: I think that's why what you're doing, you guys are doing.
- 15:40Speaker 7: It's so important because.
- 15:41Speaker 4: You get it right, Like you know what it takes
- 15:44Speaker 4: to give a loan or to a barbershop or here someone, Yeah,
- 15:47Speaker 4: these businesses that typically wouldn't get along with. But you
- 15:50Speaker 4: said some interesting now your dreams, right, So the barbershop,
- 15:54Speaker 4: was this a dream? And if so, what what's the next? Well,
- 15:58Speaker 4: because I'm thinking my mind like you didn't know fintach.
- 16:00Speaker 4: So this kind of just came along and it was
- 16:02Speaker 4: a great opportunity.
- 16:03Speaker 2: So what I wanted to own up? Like I wanted
- 16:06Speaker 2: I want. I knew very young. I was like very young,
- 16:12Speaker 2: I was like this yard.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Work ships not for the real man? What do you
- 16:16Speaker 3: what are you people selling drugs out here?
- 16:21Speaker 2: I see my nigga make three hundred, my grandmother gaining
- 16:25Speaker 2: the ragged ass lawnmower. I'm going, you know, cushing fucking
- 16:28Speaker 2: more twenty five twenty bucks.
- 16:30Speaker 3: And then old.
- 16:31Speaker 2: People like after they see you do it quick, this
- 16:35Speaker 2: nigga twelve hoursoo, you know, you don't think all people
- 16:39Speaker 2: can't slick you, but they're finesse you on the West Side.
- 16:41Speaker 2: But when my mom took me the Decatur, you know,
- 16:45Speaker 2: my mom lived in the cab those people didn't mind
- 16:47Speaker 2: paying twenty bucks. There was a kid living next door
- 16:49Speaker 2: to me didn't mind getting paid ten, So I would
- 16:52Speaker 2: charge ours twenty five.
- 16:53Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I'd give him ten. Keep your teen us my lawnmower.
- 16:56Speaker 2: I gotta do maintenance on this motherfucker dog. So I
- 17:01Speaker 2: learned very early that figure out the deal, to figure
- 17:04Speaker 2: out who's smart. My mom had a good business money,
- 17:06Speaker 2: you know what I mean. She she was always about
- 17:10Speaker 2: not working and figuring out ways to She was a
- 17:13Speaker 2: floors by nature, its main choose an artist. She dated
- 17:17Speaker 2: very successful and she did a very successful successful drug
- 17:20Speaker 2: dealer who opened up businesses as well. So she was
- 17:23Speaker 2: just always thinking. So you know, for me, it's like
- 17:26Speaker 2: it's my next thing. My next thing is master earners.

- 20:20Speaker 2: Dream the thing that I started before I find a
- 20:22Speaker 2: next thing. You know the banking made sense. But I've
- 20:25Speaker 2: been peeking and poking around there for the last six
- 20:28Speaker 2: seven years, so this came and dropped in my lap.
- 20:32Speaker 2: But it was too perfect not to do. And it's
- 20:34Speaker 2: really a matter of me just getting out and getting
- 20:36Speaker 2: a message out and getting the message out let people know, hey,
- 20:39Speaker 2: we're here, we're here. You have an option that doesn't
- 20:41Speaker 2: lead you to the check cashing place after you get
- 20:44Speaker 2: your summer camp job. Right, that's easy enough to do it.
- 20:47Speaker 2: It's daunting getting up at six thirty in the morning
- 20:49Speaker 2: because people with money are getting up early watching TV.
- 20:52Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 20:53Speaker 2: By the time seven nine of our traffic hit, they
- 20:55Speaker 2: already in front of the tell they've done what they
- 20:57Speaker 2: had to do. So that part is like, Okay, this
- 20:59Speaker 2: is rison is like a real job. I gotta wake up.
- 21:02Speaker 2: But the brick and mortar stores that we do in
- 21:05Speaker 2: terms of these shops, and I call them stores because
- 21:07Speaker 2: what I learned really early is if I'm depending on
- 21:09Speaker 2: barbers and boot rent, I'm going to fail. I'm going
- 21:13Speaker 2: to close. Because people's lives is happening. You don't know
- 21:16Speaker 2: whose child needs what, you don't know what emergencies are
- 21:18Speaker 2: coming up with their parents. A lot of barbers are
- 21:20Speaker 2: talented people. They're making money on the quick, so they
- 21:23Speaker 2: like regular artists or entertainment or tradesmen or responsible for
- 21:26Speaker 2: more people than themselves, you know. So I started to
- 21:29Speaker 2: not understand because I still got to pay my rent.
- 21:32Speaker 2: But I started to see the glitch in the matrix.
- 21:34Speaker 3: So we are.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Transitioning to a commission shop, right. So I've been talking
- 21:38Speaker 2: to people like the owner of sports Clips. I've been
- 21:40Speaker 2: talking to people like who've worked in Floyd's, the nuty system,
- 21:43Speaker 2: getting it as we sharpen our system. But what kept
- 21:46Speaker 2: us open and kept us prospering and went from being
- 21:50Speaker 2: just a pet project that I wanted to have a
- 21:52Speaker 2: barbershop so I could have a guy's place to hang.
- 21:54Speaker 2: As long as it paid for myself, my business partner
- 21:57Speaker 2: and wife, you know, long as it paid for it self.
- 21:58Speaker 3: She wasn't gonna get me too much trouble. You know.
- 22:01Speaker 3: My managers had sat down, like.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Now paying for itself, make a grand or two after
- 22:05Speaker 2: bootprint and all your bills paid.
- 22:07Speaker 3: So it was like cool, and I was like, but then.
- 22:09Speaker 8: I'm like, you know what, Like when I'm sitting in
- 22:10Speaker 8: a barbershop. Oftentimes I just need a T shirt, Like
- 22:14Speaker 8: I just went to picked up some Class Air Forces
- 22:16Speaker 8: and I got to go to the BB. I don't
- 22:18Speaker 8: even want to go to the BP. I gotta go
- 22:19Speaker 8: to the BP. I gotta get Jarrama dollar.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I don't even want No they T shirt quality whack
- 22:24Speaker 2: they feel like going to DTLR. So I started saying,
- 22:28Speaker 2: why wud.
- 22:28Speaker 3: I selling T shirt? Yeah, we started selling T shirts?
- 22:32Speaker 2: And then it goes from fussing and fighting with the
- 22:37Speaker 2: barber about some moneys they don't or don't have, or
- 22:41Speaker 2: how short his short, to knowing I'm doing thousands of
- 22:44Speaker 2: months in merchandise, and I start to understand that not
- 22:48Speaker 2: only are we a barber shop, we're a cultural center
- 22:51Speaker 2: and the swag shop, unlike most barbershops with shave washing room,
- 22:55Speaker 2: have the actual culture of barbering. So our faces are
- 22:58Speaker 2: painted red like a London style barbershop. Our polers read
- 23:01Speaker 2: like a London style barbershop. Once you get in. We
- 23:03Speaker 2: try to keep it very simple in terms of what
- 23:06Speaker 2: you see with the barbers. We use very you know,
- 23:08Speaker 2: with manly stuff. You can grab this stuff out of
- 23:10Speaker 2: ciny Sears and Amazon or order it. It drops we have art.
- 23:14Speaker 3: A fan of art.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Chris Hoby did this from art Refolks. He also did
- 23:16Speaker 2: the back. We keep things very simple, very clean, very
- 23:19Speaker 2: taste and very mad like. And then we get you here,
- 23:22Speaker 2: come and look at the cool shit you can buy
- 23:24Speaker 2: to mass the Nikes you just got from Walters an
- 23:27Speaker 2: outfit of what's happening or wish. We have a symbiotic
- 23:31Speaker 2: relationship with other small businesses in which we want to
- 23:34Speaker 2: make merch. The Travis, the Travis, the Travis Scots dropped
- 23:38Speaker 2: the colorway is no accident. You understand what I'm saying,
- 23:41Speaker 2: And I know that everybody doesn't want to wear the
- 23:43Speaker 2: exact same outfit.
- 23:44Speaker 3: To the club.
- 23:45Speaker 2: So our customers get exclusives. One of one hundred and
- 23:48Speaker 2: fifty MANI, one of two hundred and fifty MAINI. You
- 23:50Speaker 2: know our staple shop shirt sell We got a Transformers,
- 23:53Speaker 2: We got a Star Stream shirt. Your barbershopp ain't got
- 23:56Speaker 2: no fucking star, you.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Know what I mean.
- 23:58Speaker 7: So I don't even know if they know the Star Ska,
- 24:00Speaker 7: my favorite character in Man.
- 24:01Speaker 2: You gotta see them one with two radulos. So what
- 24:04Speaker 2: we're in the business of doing now is making sure
- 24:07Speaker 2: that not only do you get a shave washing room,
- 24:10Speaker 2: proper shave washing room, because you just sitting there getting
- 24:13Speaker 2: a dry haircut is an experience. You might argue about sports,
- 24:16Speaker 2: but a shave washing room is the only thirty minutes
- 24:19Speaker 2: to an hour that the black man or American working
- 24:22Speaker 2: class man gets. That's just your wife. No, I told
- 24:25Speaker 2: my wife, he's putting my shit on. Mother fucker, don't
- 24:29Speaker 2: call me. I'm in a barber shop. This is your
- 24:32Speaker 2: this is your country club. And so after you get
- 24:35Speaker 2: that cut and matter change happens. Now you get here
- 24:38Speaker 2: and you get to take a piece of that culture
- 24:40Speaker 2: in the real world with you. And what you're also
- 24:41Speaker 2: about to start seeing from us is content. We work
- 24:44Speaker 2: with actual artists. Ian Claire is an artist. We work
- 24:48Speaker 2: with Chris Hobay and artist Scott Fuller is a classic
- 24:50Speaker 2: designer we work with. So as we drop stuff, you're
- 24:53Speaker 2: going to see this stuff now we and this is
- 24:57Speaker 2: you know, when we talk about Schorman Shart, we talking
- 24:59Speaker 2: about to me, two of the most influential black men
- 25:00Speaker 2: walk who plays of the Earth. It means something that
- 25:02Speaker 2: you're in this shirt because this shirt needs to say
- 25:05Speaker 2: because on the basket determines your worth right. These men
- 25:10Speaker 2: prove that work ethic determines your work. It actually proves that.
- 25:13Speaker 2: So in the real world. I want this culture to
- 25:15Speaker 2: leave from behind the counter and go in the real
- 25:18Speaker 2: world and create positive and systemic change.
- 25:20Speaker 3: You know what, This reminds me of Troy, somebody that
- 25:22Speaker 3: we interviewed recently.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I guess I know what you Yeah, so.
- 25:26Speaker 5: Another hip hop lest especially when we haven't dropped this interview. Yes,
- 25:30Speaker 5: I'm I'm gonna let the count talking about So it's
- 25:40Speaker 5: crazy because you know, he has a juice bar. Yes,
- 25:42Speaker 5: I know, and Yankas and we went we did the
- 25:44Speaker 5: interview in the juice bar, and he was telling us
- 25:46Speaker 5: how actually before he got there, the staff was telling
- 25:49Speaker 5: us how it changed the whole culture in the community.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Like people come and they look forward to getting the
- 25:54Speaker 5: jew sym and it's like and then he was his
- 25:56Speaker 5: white heim and his wife was telling us, Now they
- 25:59Speaker 5: not only do the juices, but they got the online juice,
- 26:02Speaker 5: and they got the merch and they got the whole thing.
- 26:03Speaker 5: They turned into a whole business. So it reminds me
- 26:06Speaker 5: the same thing. It's like, not only are you, it's
- 26:08Speaker 5: a cultural thing. Like you said, it's a culture for
- 26:09Speaker 5: the community, but you're integrated, vertically rested peace.
- 26:12Speaker 4: In this I'm going to because I'm like, yo, this
- 26:15Speaker 4: is now like when we went to la we had
- 26:19Speaker 4: to go to the marathon, so juice right, and so
- 26:21Speaker 4: it was like it becomes a cultural landmarks. And so
- 26:23Speaker 4: like I saw Nipsey out here, I'm like, yo, that's
- 26:26Speaker 4: what you created. After a cultural landmark? Was like, now
- 26:28Speaker 4: when you come to Atlanta, you have to come out
- 26:30Speaker 4: and go to Yonkers.
- 26:31Speaker 7: Yo, where's the juice bar?
- 26:33Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 26:33Speaker 4: And it provides not only opportunity for you, but also
- 26:36Speaker 4: provides opportunity for the community. Because the next thing it
- 26:38Speaker 4: was like, Yo, how do we grow because maybe this
- 26:40Speaker 4: merch sells out so fast?
- 26:41Speaker 3: Now you got to get a factory.
- 26:42Speaker 2: But that also hips was now maybe we're in this
- 26:45Speaker 2: Friday or this Friday or next Friday. I go about
- 26:49Speaker 2: an hour north of here to look at screen pressing
- 26:52Speaker 2: machines as I own a garage far from here. And
- 26:56Speaker 2: you know, you use around numbers, right, drug dealers talking
- 26:59Speaker 2: to We're gonna use a ten thousand dollars number, right,
- 27:02Speaker 2: So you make ten thousand dollars last month, your plays
- 27:05Speaker 2: thousand dollars. What I've learned from my wife, whose grandmother
- 27:08Speaker 2: ran a liquor shot outs, Right, they think number, you
- 27:11Speaker 2: see a pint, they know how much each shot out
- 27:14Speaker 2: that pint costs them. How much they should make off
- 27:15Speaker 2: of plank? She says, Well, I say, well, how much
- 27:18Speaker 2: it costs is to make the ten? Because if the
- 27:20Speaker 2: cost for seven to make the ten on the babe
- 27:22Speaker 2: three I want to make. I want to put three
- 27:26Speaker 2: in and make seven out. I want to change that, right,
- 27:29Speaker 2: So I said, how can I cut costscause I'm looking
- 27:32Speaker 2: at the shirts. We like a lot of color. But
- 27:34Speaker 2: the more color you use, more expensive shirts. Sorry, I said, man, Yo,
- 27:39Speaker 2: fuck this shit, I said, I know.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Somebody got laid off of furnloler fucked up.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Man. I know it's somebody that don't want to eat.
- 27:47Speaker 2: I know it's somebody can run a screenprint operation. I
- 27:49Speaker 2: got a building, Why don't I just go buy my
- 27:52Speaker 2: own machine? So we're in the process of doing that
- 27:54Speaker 2: right now, right. I love. Rick Ross's a business man.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Rick Ross got three hundred son. Niggas got hold of
- 28:00Speaker 3: the first question.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Niggas gonna pay the grass Ross starts the grass cut company.
- 28:07Speaker 2: The way he's shouting out John DM. I'm sure they
- 28:09Speaker 2: gave a niggas free driver homeboys and would say, hey man,
- 28:12Speaker 2: let the whole sun says, let me get a job,
- 28:14Speaker 2: because most people want the dignity of having a job.
- 28:17Speaker 2: And now he has a way to cycle his money
- 28:20Speaker 2: within its own ecosystem. Maybe he got Trump's tax shot out,
- 28:27Speaker 2: and now he's able to put the people around him
- 28:29Speaker 2: on staff. He's able to dig up John dere Well,
- 28:32Speaker 2: he got to have a deal.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Rose.
- 28:34Speaker 2: You got to tell I need the job. We'd like
- 28:35Speaker 2: to talk to you about about boy, I don't even
- 28:38Speaker 2: track the bad but so that that's it. You have
- 28:42Speaker 2: to start. You learn to do that. You learn to
- 28:45Speaker 2: get in the game at first and then start saying,
- 28:47Speaker 2: well what can I produce? What can I do? You know,
- 28:49Speaker 2: so whether it's Jay who got us interest doing lighters,
- 28:54Speaker 2: so you know, big lighters are not cheap, but there
- 28:55Speaker 2: are all these lighters I use, but people are willing
- 28:57Speaker 2: to pay. You know, it's easy to say a knicks
- 29:00Speaker 2: as hard to say a dime, but you know it's
- 29:03Speaker 2: easy to sell. It's easy to sell nick.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Yeah, like you know, so.
- 29:13Speaker 2: We we have the specialty items that are synonymous with
- 29:16Speaker 2: Killer Michael. You watch Trigger Warning, you want to know
- 29:18Speaker 2: where to get Cripple Cole and blood Pop, will just
- 29:20Speaker 2: pop up or you get your cripple Cole and Blood
- 29:23Speaker 2: Pop and more than like, you're gonna say, well, let
- 29:25Speaker 2: me grab a new era, let me grab a lighter.
- 29:27Speaker 2: White woman came here last me blessed. I just flopped
- 29:29Speaker 2: up in the shop. I just pop up in White woman.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Man spent two hundred and summdd dollars. God bless her
- 29:36Speaker 2: beautiful cat being a tall listening to in the eighties
- 29:39Speaker 2: song this was the coolest mom ever. In the middle
- 29:43Speaker 2: of this shop with all black guys, nobody looking minising.
- 29:45Speaker 2: She's just like my son loves y'all and I wanted
- 29:48Speaker 2: to come in. He's to run the jewels fan. I'm like,
- 29:50Speaker 2: you are the coolest motherfucking We took a great pic,
- 29:54Speaker 2: but that type of stuff happens more often than not.
- 29:56Speaker 2: And I realized that the slash shot you know a
- 29:59Speaker 2: lot people say it's a brand. Absolutely is a brand,
- 30:02Speaker 2: but it's a brand based around the culture.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Of black and working class barbershops.
- 30:06Speaker 2: And what my ambition is to have, my small ambition
- 30:10Speaker 2: is to have one hundred and fifty three in every
- 30:12Speaker 2: major black market that's from Buffalo to Miami, from Los
- 30:15Speaker 2: Angeles to Charlotte. To have three and to expand. I
- 30:18Speaker 2: see now, as I learn more about this game, and
- 30:20Speaker 2: I see Floyd's and Ludies and supercussion, great clips, I
- 30:23Speaker 2: don't see any reasons why we can't get in excess
- 30:25Speaker 2: to five hundred.
- 30:27Speaker 4: So at this point, I'm thinking, when people see you,
- 30:30Speaker 4: do they even think about music?
- 30:31Speaker 7: But the first thing they think about is like.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Run the Jews was top ten on the Stillboard two hundred.
- 30:38Speaker 2: We sold a lot of records. We just did an
- 30:40Speaker 2: adult swim special I only performers this year that's on
- 30:42Speaker 2: HBO Max for a month. We're arguably the greatest rap
- 30:45Speaker 2: duo in the world right now. So I think that
- 30:48Speaker 2: people know me for music, but I'm more encouraged that
- 30:50Speaker 2: people know me for more than you.
- 30:52Speaker 3: So my family's from.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Tuskege, Alabama, and if you talk about Lionel Richie, of
- 30:56Speaker 2: course you start singing and people start thinking of great records.
- 31:00Speaker 2: My family was land on the family. So with my aunt,
- 31:02Speaker 2: he's remind you, you know, he bout he bought a
- 31:04Speaker 2: lot of l a baby, he did something with his money.
- 31:07Speaker 2: He didn't just give it all the children. So first
- 31:09Speaker 2: stop having children, not a wet lock. And he lay
- 31:12Speaker 2: like Lionel richie, you know, And and I can at
- 31:15Speaker 2: chance of that because I was talking to a billion
- 31:16Speaker 2: are three days ago and he said, one of the
- 31:18Speaker 2: most savvy business people I know is an entertainer named
- 31:20Speaker 2: linal He calls lion nail, you know, white liar nail.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Now that's dope.
- 31:32Speaker 2: And even when we get to the bar before and
- 31:34Speaker 2: he gave me an idea I never thought about.
- 31:35Speaker 5: I go to Barbius my whole life, and he was like,
- 31:37Speaker 5: how many times you see the barber selling hair grease,
- 31:40Speaker 5: selling brooms, selling a brush, selling a comb. We said, yeah,
- 31:43Speaker 5: it's like what you would think like that, that makes sense,
- 31:46Speaker 5: that makes complete sense.
- 31:47Speaker 2: It's like, why would I have to leave the barbershop.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Into beauty store with my wife? So we started brushing.
- 31:56Speaker 2: I hate born in the beauty stores to buy my
- 31:58Speaker 2: great so we'll make sure everybody gets the brush of
- 32:01Speaker 2: stuff too. But beyond that, I found a black company
- 32:05Speaker 2: based here in Atlanta that that Dutch private labeling that
- 32:08Speaker 2: you sit down with let them know what you want.
- 32:10Speaker 2: They create a line for you, and we've got our
- 32:12Speaker 2: online created and we'll be using a black company as
- 32:15Speaker 2: I sourced locally to supply line. So by Christmas days
- 32:18Speaker 2: you'll be able. You'll get guys to get a package
- 32:20Speaker 2: to take care.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Of your skin and your beard, your face and all that.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Because as a guy, man, I'm just simple. I go
- 32:26Speaker 2: to the mall, or again, I go to Walters or
- 32:29Speaker 2: wish or or I go to sneaker cartel and I
- 32:32Speaker 2: get my kids. I don't feel like doing other shit.
- 32:35Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying.
- 32:36Speaker 2: I want to get Oh man, I'm in the shop.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I got a Oh give me that kill your mouses,
- 32:41Speaker 2: give me give me that kill of your masses, give
- 32:42Speaker 2: me that brush.
- 32:44Speaker 3: And I need some Greeks.
- 32:45Speaker 2: One stop shot, One stop shot, man, Because I sat
- 32:48Speaker 2: in my barber shop on the south side of the
- 32:50Speaker 2: O G Shop, and I'm sitting there, you know, slightly stone,
- 32:54Speaker 2: just observing, observing things, and I see a guy come
- 32:57Speaker 2: in selling socks. I see aeman come in selling juices.
- 33:01Speaker 2: I see another guy coming in selling shitty stole from CBS.
- 33:05Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying, is that guy as a
- 33:07Speaker 7: as as just a shot.
- 33:08Speaker 2: This is a store. But and then you know I
- 33:10Speaker 2: got it where it was like again, where's I learned?
- 33:12Speaker 3: Business?
- 33:13Speaker 7: Trap?
- 33:15Speaker 2: I start taxing me, Oh, you come to my shop.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I got to have I got to have ten what
- 33:19Speaker 2: don't make no money?
- 33:20Speaker 3: They ain't got nothing to do with me?
- 33:21Speaker 2: Can you in my shop?
- 33:22Speaker 3: Standing?
- 33:23Speaker 2: So then they start serving on the outside of the door,
- 33:25Speaker 2: so that I said, hey, man, yount a curd, you
- 33:27Speaker 2: got to give me five, but you're not gonna come
- 33:30Speaker 2: here and not facing taxations clok every month. Man, this
- 33:34Speaker 2: man wants this money. Man and this woman I sleep
- 33:36Speaker 2: with and like this fine beautiful woman. She liked money,
- 33:39Speaker 2: probably as much as she liked me. She liked me
- 33:42Speaker 2: before I add money.
- 33:43Speaker 7: So I can't go to.
- 33:44Speaker 3: A telling the baby we ain't good.
- 33:47Speaker 2: You got to pay me for it. That's when I
- 33:50Speaker 2: got me understanding that we're not a barbershop, We're a store.
- 33:53Speaker 2: How is the crypt of Cola and the Blood Pop
- 33:56Speaker 2: door selling out daily? Shouts out to Doug. He took
- 33:59Speaker 2: a picture with the big comedy bear Low. He took
- 34:01Speaker 2: a bunch of Blood Pop up their studio session last night.
- 34:05Speaker 2: So shouts out Tip, shouts out the thub, shouts out
- 34:08Speaker 2: the savage.
- 34:09Speaker 4: They all is Jay partner with you on that or
- 34:11Speaker 4: I know he had purchased on it and put it
- 34:13Speaker 4: in the lyric and I was like, yeah.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Man, he gave us a shout out like man to get.
- 34:17Speaker 3: A free jay Z shout out. Man, I'm for life.
- 34:21Speaker 2: If Jay calls me tomorrow says I want to then
- 34:24Speaker 2: what are we doing?
- 34:25Speaker 3: Sir? You know what I'm saying.
- 34:27Speaker 2: It's it's still fledgling. We're still building it. We're still
- 34:31Speaker 2: very proud of it, and we're determined to make it something.
- 34:33Speaker 2: I think that there is womb in the market for
- 34:37Speaker 2: the brands that we built up with street fraternities, with
- 34:41Speaker 2: neighborhood clicks, with dope sayings.
- 34:44Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 34:45Speaker 2: That should be an old boy cologne. I was nobody
- 34:49Speaker 2: saying Cam it's flying camp for sell coloone is easily
- 34:54Speaker 2: as Johnny dep you know what I mean, real Johnny Depth. Yeah,
- 34:58Speaker 2: like camould do that.
- 34:59Speaker 3: So my thing is you have.
- 35:01Speaker 2: To do it for it to be done. So Criple
- 35:03Speaker 2: Colon Blood Pop are real things right now. You can
- 35:05Speaker 2: buy them anywhere Exotic Pop is sold. Exotic Pop has
- 35:09Speaker 2: been doing an adult job of getting it out there.
- 35:11Speaker 2: You can buy it the locations at the Swas shop
- 35:13Speaker 2: locations and a few more places, and you want to
- 35:15Speaker 2: you know, our Baltus to go national. How you doing
- 35:18Speaker 2: with stocks? I've seen a couple. That's what my wife questioned.
- 35:23Speaker 2: I bought her after I like I bought I bought Shaye.
- 35:26Speaker 2: These kind of gifts, I get my wife race up,
- 35:29Speaker 2: like if I'm just like in Linux, I went in
- 35:32Speaker 2: to the Applesto and grabs for figures. I'm gonna probably
- 35:34Speaker 2: stop by Victoria's Secrets grab like you fanashed your boss,
- 35:37Speaker 2: and I like to see her in them, right, I'm probably.
- 35:40Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, like, I'm probably gonna go,
- 35:42Speaker 3: you know.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Pop up at one of the high end perse stores,
- 35:45Speaker 2: because that's just having at this point, and I like
- 35:47Speaker 2: seeing a happier case.
- 35:48Speaker 3: But you do that so many times and you're just like,
- 35:51Speaker 3: you know this is it's it.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Doesn't hit as hard because a woman, you know, like
- 35:56Speaker 2: my woman, she likes security, she likes the persons to
- 35:59Speaker 2: do and that stuff. But in the last few years,
- 36:02Speaker 2: I've gotten more about let me buy you things that appreciate.
- 36:05Speaker 2: So I bought her her grandmother's original house. I bought
- 36:08Speaker 2: her a duplex in an empowerment zone. I bought a
- 36:12Speaker 2: set of apartments. I bought a lot of cool things
- 36:15Speaker 2: for her. Well, the apartment I bought for us. The
- 36:18Speaker 2: other stuff I bought just for her because I wanted
- 36:21Speaker 2: her to be able to make I told her early on,
- 36:23Speaker 2: if you quit your job and just work helping me
- 36:26Speaker 2: do me, I'll guarantee.
- 36:27Speaker 3: You one hund twenty dollars.
- 36:29Speaker 2: So I was like, my goals, make sure you make
- 36:31Speaker 2: ten thousand dollars a month. And they got shit to
- 36:32Speaker 2: do with me. And you know, a few months ago,
- 36:34Speaker 2: she came in and showed me a piece of papers, say,
- 36:35Speaker 2: you know you got me there.
- 36:36Speaker 3: I acknowledge it. I just want to tell you, thank you.
- 36:39Speaker 3: I love you, you know what I mean.
- 36:40Speaker 2: But my wife, she asked for a raise, this always.
- 36:56Speaker 2: But I started buying her stocks and just just a
- 36:59Speaker 2: s P five hours, you know, stuff that I know
- 37:01Speaker 2: we're gonna always use my grandparents, who just regular working
- 37:04Speaker 2: class votes. But they bought me PoCA Cola and Delta
- 37:06Speaker 2: stocks results with two of the biggest companies here. They
- 37:09Speaker 2: knew those companies weren't going anywhere. So I don't know
- 37:12Speaker 2: as much about stocks as she does. But I know
- 37:14Speaker 2: she's been very happy. I bolve her a lot of it.
