- 0:00I really hope you're watching the video version
- 0:02of the podcast this week because look at what
- 0:04is behind me. Like, how do you beat a view like
- 0:08that? Hello and welcome to another episode of
- 0:17Abby the Podcast Lady coming at you from the
- 0:20pontoon today. I am sitting at the lake. and
- 0:23it's probably going to be one of my last lake
- 0:25podcasts for the year. We're getting down to
- 0:28the wire. It's now officially after Labor Day,
- 0:30and that's kind of when fall really hits in Minnesota.
- 0:33We kind of have a weird seasonality to this state.
- 0:37Fall doesn't technically start until September
- 0:3821st. We all know that. But in Minnesota, I feel
- 0:41like summer is officially Memorial Day to Labor
- 0:44Day. Once Labor Day hits, people are just kind
- 0:46of in pumpkin spice mode. They're like, you know
- 0:48what? I think we're done with summer. We're going
- 0:50to start packing things up at the lake. We're
- 0:52going to start. thinking about pulling docks
- 0:53out, start thinking about pulling boats out.
- 0:55But in all reality, there's still quite a bit
- 0:56of summer left and I am savoring it as much as
- 0:59I can. I mean, how do you beat a day like today?
- 1:01And it is September when I am recording this.
- 1:03So with Labor Day now officially being past us,
- 1:07I really wanted to talk about locking in for
- 1:09the remainder of the year with your podcast,
- 1:12because I feel like Labor Day is almost like
- 1:15a 2 .0 of a New Year's resolution. I feel like
- 1:18people have putting things off all summer. They're
- 1:20like, you know what? That sounds like a project
- 1:22for after Labor Day. It's the circle back on
- 1:25Monday of the calendar. Like everyone's circling
- 1:27back. They're getting ready to push forward to
- 1:29get through the rest of Q3 and into Q4, which
- 1:32is usually some of the highest sales of the year
- 1:35for most businesses. So people are really locking
- 1:37in. They're getting ready to just go full steam
- 1:40ahead and finish 2026 strong. And I wanted to
- 1:43talk about how you can do that with your podcast
- 1:45because I believe podcasting is a great, great,
- 1:49great, great marketing tool. for your brand,
- 1:51for your business. It is such a beautiful way
- 1:54to go deeper with your customer base, to really
- 1:56let them inside your world, get them to trust
- 2:00you, get them to know you, and get them to buy
- 2:03from you. That is so incredibly huge. So my personal
- 2:06business, Abby Grapes Productions, we work with
- 2:09podcast clients across the country to do just
- 2:12that, to go deeper with their audiences, to build
- 2:14a strong strategy when it comes to marketing
- 2:17with their podcast. Because a podcast so much
- 2:20more than just a piece of audio that goes up
- 2:23on Apple Podcasts, that goes up on Spotify, that
- 2:26you can listen to on whatever listening platform
- 2:28you listen on. Your podcast can be the real core
- 2:31engine of what your marketing is built off of.
- 2:34You can have the bulk of your show, the audio,
- 2:37the video be on YouTube. That's a great place
- 2:39for it. But then what you do is you take the
- 2:42audio slash video, turn that into a short form
- 2:46clip. that you can post on Reels, that you can
- 2:48post on TikTok, that you can post on Pinterest,
- 2:50that you can post on threads, that you can post
- 2:52literally everywhere. Short form content is huge
- 2:55right now. So you chop up your one big podcast
- 2:57and you turn it into a bunch of little clips
- 2:59that people can consume, which then feeds your
- 3:02algorithm, feeds their algorithm. It makes you
- 3:05look like you're on top of things. It makes you
- 3:06look super active on your social media, which
- 3:09is what everybody wants to be, but no one seems
- 3:11to have the time to do. Podcasting is a great
- 3:14way to do that. So you're consistent. Constantly
- 3:16showing up in front of your target audience,
- 3:18in front of your customers, on their feeds with
- 3:20little chunks of the podcast. It is so incredibly
- 3:23helpful that way. I get asked all the time, like,
- 3:26how do you have time to just be on the internet?
- 3:28Like every time I open up my phone, there's your
- 3:30face. It doesn't matter what platform, like you
- 3:32are always there. And it's because I repurpose
- 3:34my podcast content. Truly, I make so many clips
- 3:37from one long form episode and then I just post
- 3:40them. I schedule them out all at once in one
- 3:43sitting. So I'm not sitting there constantly.
- 3:45post or go live on something. It's just ready
- 3:48to go. And I have people all the time coming
- 3:50up to me just saying that I am constantly in
- 3:52their feeds and that's exactly what I want to
- 3:54hear. Even if they don't want to see me, heck,
- 3:56if they don't want to see me, they can unfollow
- 3:58me. They don't need to see me. They can swipe
- 4:00away, but I'm showing up. They're seeing it.
- 4:02And it's because I am repurposing my podcast
- 4:05content into short form video. Super easy. The
- 4:07next thing you can do with your podcast to go
- 4:09deeper with your audience is use it to build
- 4:11your email list. So your podcast, like I said,
- 4:15it's not just audio or video. It's also a transcription.
- 4:17What you can do is take it to places like Adobe
- 4:20podcasts, your podcast hosting platform. If you're
- 4:23using rss .com might generate a transcript for
- 4:25you. Your editing software might have a transcription
- 4:28service. Basically you take the written version.
- 4:31of your podcast and you can turn that into an
- 4:34email to send out to your customers. You got
- 4:36a show coming out once a week. You got an email
- 4:38to send once a week. What you do is you take
- 4:40that transcript and you can highlight certain
- 4:42quotes from it. You can pull key things that
- 4:44you talked about. You can talk about the three
- 4:46big ideas from the show and use your transcript
- 4:48to write that email to your customers. So now
- 4:52if you're saying, well, I have an email list.
- 4:54I haven't sent him anything. I don't know what
- 4:55to send them. You're making a podcast. Send them
- 4:58your podcast. Literally do a brief synopsis.
- 5:00based on the transcript of your show, send that
- 5:03email with a link to listen to the podcast. There
- 5:05you go. It's that easy. You can have an email
- 5:07going out to your email list every single week
- 5:10with a link to the show and a brief synopsis
- 5:12based on the transcript. And if you're looking
- 5:14for an easy way to write that email, I actually
- 5:17have a custom GPT that I have built to help formulate
- 5:20that. So if you are interested in that, reach
- 5:23out to me on Instagram. I'll send you a private
- 5:25link to it. It's kind of an exclusive thing right
- 5:26now. So if that's something you are interested
- 5:28in and you want to make it. easy I can help make
- 5:30it real easy you just got to reach out to me
- 5:33But like I said, that's kind of a private thing
- 5:35just for podcast listeners. So if you're hearing
- 5:37this, if you're reaching out to me on it, I know
- 5:38you listen to the podcast. So I see you. Because
- 5:41you're here, you get exclusive perks. Isn't that
- 5:42nice? And the last thing I want to touch on with
- 5:44using your podcast to really lock in and make
- 5:47the most of it in Q4 is I want you to be taking
- 5:51your podcast and again, grab that transcript
- 5:53and turn it into blog content for your website.
- 5:56You need to be building SEO in 2026 and going
- 6:00into 2027. That's just how... the world works
- 6:03right now. You need to be building SEO in some
- 6:06way for your brand, for your business. And if
- 6:08you're not, if you have a website that you haven't
- 6:10updated, that you haven't added anything to,
- 6:12that you haven't touched, build a blog on your
- 6:14website and use your podcast to help write that
- 6:17blog every week. You can have a fresh piece of
- 6:19content going up on your website every single
- 6:22week, building SEO for you based purely on the
- 6:25podcast you are already making. You have content
- 6:28going out once a week. You have something to
- 6:30share. You have something to say. You have some
- 6:31info. Information that you want your target audience
- 6:33to be learning from you. Take what you're talking
- 6:36about on the podcast. Write a companion blog
- 6:39for that. Post it on your website. Post links
- 6:42to the podcast. Embed the YouTube video. Put
- 6:45in a Spotify player. Doesn't matter. Just get
- 6:47it on your website so people can consume it in
- 6:50another way. Because what's happening right now
- 6:52is the chatbots, the clods, the chatGBTs, the
- 6:55Geminis, they're scanning text. They are scanning
- 6:58text, text, text, text, text. is what they're
- 7:01spitting out to people who are asking questions
- 7:03to ChatGPT, to Claude. People aren't Googling
- 7:06anymore. They're asking those AI services their
- 7:08questions. And if you have nothing on your website
- 7:11to scan, to provide a direct answer for what
- 7:14your customer is asking, you're not going to
- 7:16be the one that gets pulled by Chat, by Claude,
- 7:19by Gemini. They're not going to find your content
- 7:21because it isn't there. So what you need to do
- 7:23is take your podcast, again, grab the transcript,
- 7:25run it through my special little thing I got
- 7:28for you. Reach out to me. Get that from me. It's
- 7:31way easier. Take that. Run your transcript through
- 7:34it. Write that blog for you. Boom. done. Get
- 7:36it on your website, start building some SEO and
- 7:39start building more trust and building your audience
- 7:41online with your podcast. This is just the tip
- 7:44of the iceberg of what I do for my clients. Seriously,
- 7:47every week I am cranking out hundreds of pieces
- 7:49of content just like this. So my clients' podcasts
- 7:52are reaching the audiences they want to reach,
- 7:55selling, building trust, building that relationship,
- 7:57going deeper with them. It is massive. The best
- 8:00way to do it as a podcast and the best way to
- 8:03do it is by repurposing that podcast. So if you're
- 8:06interested in working with me, if all of this
- 8:08sounds a little too convoluted and like a lot
- 8:10of work, because it is, it's a little bit of
- 8:12work. You can do it. I know you can do it. I'm
- 8:14doing it for 13 clients every single week. So
- 8:16I know you can do it for one show. But if you're
- 8:19like, I just don't want to deal with any of this.
- 8:21I think Abby should do it for me. That's also
- 8:23an option. We all have the choice of either spending
- 8:25our time or our money on something. And if you
- 8:28determine that this isn't worth your time, but
- 8:30it is worth your money, I would be happy to help
- 8:33you with it. That is exactly what. I do full
- 8:35time for a living. I love making podcasts and
- 8:38repurposing them and helping people grow their
- 8:40brands with podcast marketing. I think it is
- 8:42so smart. And I have found a really easy way
- 8:45to do it really low lift way for you to do it
- 8:48if you just want to hire me to so if you're interested,
- 8:50do not hesitate to reach out again, you can reach
- 8:52out on Instagram, you can reach out at abbygravesproductions
- 8:54.com. I got links in the show notes for all of
- 8:57that. And yeah, it's time to lock in. It's after
- 9:00Labor Day, it's time to just lock right in and
- 9:02see what we can all accomplish by the end of
- 9:04this year. And I know that if you really dedicate
- 9:06your time and your energy to doing this the right
- 9:08way, it's going to pan out big time for you.
- 9:10So as always, reach out if you have questions.
- 9:12If you don't know what you're doing and you need
- 9:14help, I am here to help you. I am Abby, the podcast
- 9:17lady, and I would love to be your guide with
- 9:19all of this. So let's lock in and let's do the
- 9:22dang thing.
