- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Because here's the thing when you go in at something all of the time, you can lose that joy that you once used to have.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: And so we're gonna be looking at what makes us feel like that and how we can get it back.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: But before I dive into today's episode, I just want to tell you about the ultimate marketing bundle, which I've recently put together.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Now, I'm a creator, I create lots of digital products with a purpose of helping other creative and heart-centered entrepreneurs to build a business that works for them.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Now, whatever stage you're in in your business, you're going to need to dive into the world of marketing.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: We can't run our businesses without getting involved in marketing activities.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: It's just the nature of the beast, part and parcel of running a business.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: We have to let people know that we exist.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: The problem is that this can be really overwhelming, and if you don't have a handle on what your business is, where you're going, and what you're looking to achieve, then it makes the job of marketing that little bit harder.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: So I've put together this bundle, it's the ultimate marketing bundle, and it's been designed to help you get really clear about your business because it's the only way that you can actually scale and grow your business.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: You need to know what your business is and why it exists, and so what I have created has been designed to help you get clear on that.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: Now, within this bundle, I've got four really fabulous indispensable resources that's going to help you to turn your vision into a successful business, it's going to bring your vision to life.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Now, the Ultima Marketing Bundle includes four transformative tools, as I said, to help you really crystallize your business and what you're going to achieve.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: It includes the Ultimate Brand Strategy Planner, which is your roadmap to success.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: This is a workbook that will bring clarity to your business vision and it will help you to take the steps that you're going to need to take to bring the vision that you have to life.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: So it's one thing defining that vision, but it's another thing actually taking the right type of action to make it happen.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: And this is where the ultimate brand strategy planner comes into play.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: In this bundle as well, I'm also including the Dream Client Canvas template.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Now I use this with all of my clients because this is going to help you to get really clear on exactly who your ideal client is so that you can serve them in the best possible way.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Now, this is such a valuable tool, and it's been designed as a one-pager to help you fill it out, then print it off so you always have it to hand.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: Because when you know exactly who your ideal client is, you can create the right content that's going to resonate with them, and this is what that this tool has been designed to help with.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: I'm also including a one-page business marketing plan, and this is what's going to underpin your brand strategy.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Now, this is going to help you strategize and crystallize the optimum way in which you can reach your ideal client, and it's going to help you to focus on activities that's going to actually make a difference in your business.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Now, it's not just about taking any type of action, it's about taking the right type of action that's going to drive the results that you ultimately desire.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: And this is what my one-page business marketing plan has been designed to do.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: And then finally, we've got the brilliant branding checklist, which is a really comprehensive branding checklist that's been designed to ensure that your brand not only looks right but feels right as well.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: It's going to ensure that every aspect of your brand aligns with your vision and resonates with your ideal client.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Now, these simple but really effective tools, like I say, have been bundled together and I'm selling them all for like£27.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: It's ridiculous.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: But I want to get this out there so I can really help my ideal clients, i.e., you guys, where it matters the most.

- 7:00SPEAKER_00: So go and grab it, and I promise you, it will transform your business.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's dive into today's episode.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: Now, before we talk about strategies on how to fall back in love with your business, let's just talk about why we become disconnected.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: Why does that happen?
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: It is actually really common for this to happen.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: Entrepreneurs are going to experience about a disillusion because it's running a business is relentless, it's like non-stop.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: The constant pressure, the constant stress, and of course the monotony of daily tasks is going to affect anybody's enthusiasm when you're doing it day in and day out, and if you're feeling stuck and you're not getting the results, then it's going to have an effect on how you then feel about your business.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Earlier this year, my family and I we went to Florida for our family holiday, and looking back, it took me ages to recover.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: I was tired, I was mentally fatigued, and I was burnt out because the past few years have been relentless.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: I pivoted my business, I made big changes, and there was a lot of work involved.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Also, I think being a mum of two young children, there is a constant pull on my time.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: And so between the pressures of work and of course running a business and everything else that goes on in life, it's it leads to you know exhaustion and feeling tired and just mentally drained.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: And my children are a really funny age because they're not little, they're not babies, but they're not yet teenagers, so they want to grow, they want to have that independence and that freedom, but they're not old enough to have it.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: So there's a lot of juggle there as well, and it all kind of feeds into the way you feel and the energy you have, and of course, how you then approach things.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: I think being a mum is one of the hardest jobs going, but of course, it's one of the most rewarding things to do as well.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: And what I've noticed is as my girls are getting older, they're now 9 and 11, they need us more, but it's in different ways.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: It isn't just about now helping them practically, but they need more emotional support as well because they've got more going on in their world.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: But the problem is when you're on the hook for your business, you're a solopreneur, and everything rests on your shoulders, it can feel a lot when you're trying to juggle life, family, everything, and a business.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Now, one of the decisions that I made back in COVID that I was going to build my business to support me, and that's what I've been working on for the past few years.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: I moved into the online space, I shifted my business, and I focus my energies on developing my business to support my vision and also to support me as well.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: And I spend a lot of my time in my business focusing my energy on putting things into place that's going to support the vision that I have.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be chained to my desk, I want to be available to my children, I want to be able to sit down at the end of the school day and have a conversation with them and not feel like I've got people waiting on me doing work or taking my time because that's where I need to be.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: I need to be at my desk working, and so all the decisions that I make have to feed into the things that are important to me.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: If I'm going to dedicate my time and my energy to creating a business, it has to work for me and my family, it has to fuel my passion.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: I can't be trained to my desk working endlessly for clients, and most importantly, it has to fill me with joy because I want to feel excited about the work that I do.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: I want to get up in the morning and I want to feel inspired and I want to feel motivated and I want to make a positive impact to other people as well.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: It also needs to give me the financial independence that I need, and this is a non-negotiable.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it feels like a real labour of love.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: I know that this is what I'm supposed to be doing, but it really presses in on my time, my energy, and sometimes it requires me to really focus in on certain things, not leaving me time and energy for the other things I want to be doing.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: So there's a constant pull on trying to create that balance that we need to be able to create the thing that's going to support us, but also give us the freedom to be able to do the things that are important to us as well.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: So building a business by design, which is what we're doing, takes time.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: But what if, whilst you're doing it, you fall out of love with the thing that you're creating?
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: How do you then mitigate that?
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: This might happen for several reasons, and I'm just going to cover what I think is probably the four main reasons why you might become disconnected.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: The first is that you just lose all passion for the thing that you're doing.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: If you're working on something day in, day out, then you may get to a point where you just like say lose all interest, you may just lose connection and just feel really despondent for what you're working towards, and that might just be because you're at it all of the time.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: The second reason could be that maybe you're feeling burnt out.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: I know earlier in the year when I came back from Florida, looking back, absolutely I was burnt out.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: I've been working really hard, we had lots going on personally.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: We were trying to sell a flat, and that sold, and then it all fell through, and I was just juggling a lot alongside my business.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: It's just that it was just crazy time.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: So absolutely feeling burnt out because business is creating a business can be demanding and it can be stressful.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: And if you're working all the hours and you don't have that healthy work-life balance, of course, you're gonna it's gonna lead to burnout.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: The third thing is that you might just have a shift in priorities, it might be that your personal circumstances change, it might be the fact that you are not interested in the thing that you've been focusing on, and sometimes it could just be that you no longer align with the goals that you once had set for yourself, and then the fourth thing it could be that you're just feeling really bored and unstimulated, it might be that you are delivering the same services that you've been delivering for years, and it just feels very repetitive, and so that lack of innovation or change has resulted in you losing interest or enthusiasm.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: Now, all of these are perfectly common, and I think it's really important to remember that if you are currently in a place where you have fallen out of love with your business, then it's just a natural part of the entrepreneurial journey.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: But I think recognizing how you're feeling and then addressing it is really important because the last thing you want to do is walk away and give up on the thing that you've been really working hard on.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: How can you put that spark back into your business?
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Now, for this, I think I believe that it's such a personal and unique journey for everyone.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: What is going to light me up is may not light you up, so everybody has a different take on what is important to them.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: But I want to give you five tips that I think will really help to re-ignite that spark in your business.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: So, my first tip is about reconnecting to your why.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: I know the why is banded around a lot, you know.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: We must know our why, we must know why we're doing this and all of that.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: But it is really important because we need to really understand why we created our business in the first place.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: We need to take the time to reconnect to it and to just go to that place of where we were at the beginning when we started to have that passion and motivation for starting the business in the first place.
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: I think it's really important to remind yourself of your goals, your purpose, your values, and the positive impact that you wanted to make when you first started your business.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: Now, if you are struggling to define what that why looks like, then go and grab my marketing bundle because the ultimate brand strategy planner has been created to help you with this.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: It has been designed to help you get really clear on exactly what your why is, what your purpose is, and where you're going.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: So go and grab it.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: Now, my second tip is about getting inspired.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: When we're working on something day in and day out, it is really easy to fall into a rut.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: So we need to look for inspiration where possible.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: Now, this can come in all different sources, it can be a really good book, it can be an article, it could be a podcast episode, or it could be an event.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: So go and have a look at what is happening in your industry that's going to spark that interest.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: Now, for me, I love learning, I love to learn about the things that go on in my space.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: So a few years ago, I invested in a program, and the resources and training that I get as part of this program is incredible.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: It's not just about business, it's about mindset and spirituality and all the things that make up a really successful entrepreneur.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: When I take the training and I actually really immerse myself in the things that I'm interested in, it in it's incredible, it's so inspiring and motivating.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: And if I am feeling disconnected, it's a surefire way of getting me back on track.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: So, what can you go and get or go and find that's really going to help you?
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Do not be afraid to invest in stuff.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: If you need an accountability group to keep you on track, invest in an accountability group.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: If you need to be a part of a masterminding group, then go and find a masterminding group.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: Go and find whatever you need that's going to support you and give you what you need to keep you on track.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: So next week I'm flying out to LA.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: I'm going to a three-day event in Orange County.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: I'm incredibly excited.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: It's part of this program, it's the in-person event.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have oh, there's gonna be so much amazing stuff going on, and I know this is going to be transformational.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: Yes, it's costing me a lot of money to go, but it's an investment, and it's worth the investment because I know that it's going to really shift me, not just in my business, but in my personal development as well.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we need to really invest in the things that it's going to support us.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: So, as I said, don't be afraid to put money into something that's going to really help you to move forward because you're never going to look back and regret that investment.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: But you might regret not investing in yourself in the first place.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: So if you are feeling uninspired, unmotivated, overwhelmed, have a look at what's going on in your industry that you can invest in to keep you on track.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: So, my third tip is about getting help on board.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: So, as entrepreneurs, sometimes we can live under the illusion that we can do everything ourselves and that nobody will do it as good as us, and we don't need anybody helping us, and we don't want to pay the money because we don't have the money, so therefore we might as well just do it ourselves anyway.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: So there's a whole host of things there that stop us from actually getting the help that we need on board.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: The problem is when you're trying to do everything yourself, this is going to lead to burnout because there's just way too much stuff to do to be able to manage it all.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: Now, by getting help aboard, it's going to allow you to be able to focus on the things that you actually enjoy doing.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: Now, if you've lost the spark in your business, it could be as simple as you are spending way too much time doing the stuff that really doesn't light you up.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: So you need to work out what you enjoy doing so that you can delegate the stuff that you have no desire to do.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: I hate bookkeeping, I don't like the finance stuff at all.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: I like to know my numbers, but I couldn't think of anything worse than sitting there having to upload all of my receipts into zero.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: So I'm not gonna do it because that's gonna really affect how I feel about my business if I'm caught up all of the time doing this.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna pay for a bookkeeper.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: So, what do you need to help you so that you can be given time back to focus on the things that you actually enjoy doing?
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: Take some time, make a list of all the tasks that you're currently doing that you really don't enjoy or don't want to do, and then figure out how you can get somebody on board to support you.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: You can go to fiverr.com and find people to support you in your business that doesn't break the bank.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: By getting rid of the stuff that you don't want to do and focusing your energy on the things that you enjoy, it's going to help you bring that spark back, and you're going to end.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: End up feeling not only just joyful about the business that you're what you've created, but you're just going to enjoy yourself all the more.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: And I believe that's what business is about.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: We shouldn't be doing anything that doesn't light us up.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: If that's the case, we might as well just go and get a job.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: So really think about what you can delegate, what you can offload, and just as I said, focus on the things that you enjoy doing.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Okay, so my fourth tip is about taking breaks.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: So we have to make sure that we take regular breaks, we need to practice self-care, and we need to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: We need to relax and give ourselves time to rejuvenate and to build our energy supplies back up because this is what's going to bring back our passion.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Now I do things in the week that I take time out for, and it really does help me.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: So I am trying to get better.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: I go for walks.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: My husband and I we have certain days where we'll go and we'll meet for lunch, and there's just things that you know I've incorporated into my daily routine, really, and I need it because it really does help to balance out my energies.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: But we have to make time to take breaks, we have to really focus in on putting ourselves first so that we can show up and be the best we can be for our businesses.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: And then my fifth and final tip is about exploring new ideas.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: Because if you are currently feeling bored or feeling unstimulated in your business, it may be because that you've not created anything new to get excited about.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: So we're nearing the end of 2023, there's a whole year ahead of us next year, and it's the perfect time to be thinking about what new products could be developed.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: Now, I work with a lot of course creators and product creators, and the thing about creating a product-focused business is that you get to create offers that really do help your audience.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: So if you are a service provider and you are looking to move your business online or to create digital offers in your business, because maybe next year you are looking to scale, or maybe you just want to bring some time back in your business so you can start making money in other areas.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Consider what you can offer in your business that can bring in some additional revenue.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: So maybe think about creating a small digital offer that you can then sell.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: If you haven't listened to it already, then go and listen to episode 62 because I talk about how small digital offers can actually transform your business, and they don't have to take loads of time to create.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: So there you have it.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: My five tips to help you fall back in love with your business.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: Now, just to recap, tip one, go and reconnect to your why.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: Tip two, go and get inspired.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: We need to be inspired.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: Three, go and get some help.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: You want to offload the stuff that you don't want to work on so that you're spending your energy on the things that bring you joy and that you enjoy doing.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: Tip four, don't forget to take breaks and prioritize your self-care because you are important.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: Your business can only operate if you are at your best.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: And my fifth and final tip is about exploring new ideas and developing new offers and products in your business because this is going to be bringing in a lot more joy, a lot more excitement, and it's going to help you to explore different areas that's equally going to make you more money.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: Remember, if you are feeling disconnected, it's going to take time and energy to get your passion back.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: So you need to give yourself some grace, be patient with yourself, and just remember to celebrate your small victories that you experienced in along the way.
- 26:43SPEAKER_00: Always remember that building a business is not about a destination, it is about the journey, and we need to feel joy in that journey, and we need to love what we do.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: So before I finish today's episode, I just want to remind you of my ultimate marketing bundle.
