- 0:02Happy Monday morning, everybody. It's Monday.
- 0:08It's Monday, all right. We got a 19 degrees, 19° and
- 0:18it's snowy. Everybody's stuck everywhere.
- 0:23Fox 2 crew stuck in the snow. All right we going to talk about
- 0:33snow today how we better than everybody and we can drive in
- 0:39the snow. Is that all of you?
- 0:44So once again, you know, wake up get my coffee.
- 0:50Think to myself I don't have anything to say today on coffee
- 0:53with Kenny. Then I start watching this and
- 0:56I'm thinking, Yep, I got a lot to say.
- 1:01So, you know, all the racers, all of you, you, all of us tough
- 1:07guys, we're like, we can drive in that snow because we're
- 1:11special. We're way different than all the
- 1:14other dummies. We can drive in the snow.
- 1:19So, Oh my God, my dad, Russ dad would live for this.
- 1:27I mean, when it would snow like this, we just how many of you
- 1:31out there just wanted, you wanted Armageddon, you do, you
- 1:36wanted snow destruction. So, you know, all the bread and
- 1:40the milk would be gone. All the schools would be closed
- 1:44down. Everybody just be paralyzed.
- 1:48Hey, be careful what you ask for, because right now that's
- 1:52the way it is in Saint Louis. We're pretty tough around here
- 1:56and we're used to this snow, but we got the we got all the the
- 2:01ice, you know, and it's 19° with a wind chill of six and all that
- 2:08stuff that they use, it just ain't working.
- 2:11So I'll never forget back in back in the 82, we had a snow
- 2:19that was just unbelievable. And I, you know, I was full of
- 2:23piss and vinegar and I'm like, I'm going to get to work.
- 2:26I will get to work. I'm Kenny Wallace, race car
- 2:29driver. Hell, I don't think I'd even
- 2:32raced yet. Of course I got up that morning,
- 2:36you know, and when you're young, you're going to you're going to
- 2:39win the world because there's nobody better than me.
- 2:42Nobody can drive in this snow except me because I'm special.
- 2:47How many of you kids out there are thinking that right now?
- 2:50I'm special. Nobody else will get to work
- 2:53except me. So anyway, I mean, it was, it
- 2:58was like it was just, there was nothing.
- 3:01I, I took off and I made it to work.
- 3:07I mean, it was like a foot of snow or more.
- 3:09I made it to work. But guess what happened when I
- 3:12got to work? Nobody was there and nobody and
- 3:18nobody was there all day long. So be careful trying to be the
- 3:23hero, you know, thinking you're going to get to work and join
- 3:26all your coworkers. You'll get to work and you'll be
- 3:30the dummy because no, nobody will be there.
- 3:33So and, and, and in my case, I got to work and I couldn't even
- 3:38get in the work because I had no keys because I was just low
- 3:42class worker. I I didn't have the keys to get
- 3:45into the business because it wasn't my business.
- 3:48So sometimes the joke's on all of you.
- 3:51You know, when you're young, I'm going to get to work and you get
- 3:54there and you can't get into work and then there's nobody
- 3:58there. So that's one of my stories.
- 4:01Respond right here. How many of you people just
- 4:04thought you was big time? You was going to get to work?
- 4:08All right, never forget this story.
- 4:12This this one's wild. So brother Rusty and and Patty,
- 4:17his wife snowing Rusty's got this.
- 4:22I don't know 1973 on the tree straight 6.
- 4:26So you know the ones on the tree on on the steering column three,
- 4:32you know, speed shifter years ago used to have.
- 4:39So Rusty tells me this story. We have a, we have a hill here
- 4:44on Old Lee May Ferry Rd. So he, we got Old Lee May Ferry
- 4:48Road and you got this big hill. It's called Burkhard Farms,
- 4:52Burkhard Farms. It's basically Burkhard farm
- 4:55people. They own all the property and we
- 4:59just call that Burkhard Farms, the hill on Old Lee May Ferry.
- 5:04Rusty, he comes down the hill and of course he's a race car
- 5:07driver. So that means he's special, you
- 5:10know, because race car drivers are they're better than anybody
- 5:12and they everybody else is in their way.
- 5:17So rusty comes down the hill and he goes to make a right.
- 5:21He goes to make the right and and can't make the right because
- 5:24it's ice, It's it's snow. But remember, he's special
- 5:27because he's a race car driver. He can't make the right and it
- 5:32starts sliding, sliding down into big ass.
- 5:38I mean, we're talking 30 foot a hole.
- 5:40It's a Creek and and stuck in there and flips over.
- 5:47True story. Rusty panics now rusting and
- 5:51Patty are in this, this, you know, 70, you know, Chevelle
- 5:56truck, you know, flips over. Rusty panics gets out, gets to
- 6:03the top and then goes, oh shit, Patty's still down there.
- 6:10So Rusty and all his glory. Now Rusty tells this story and
- 6:15he flips over and he's so it's, he's shocked, It's unbelievable.
- 6:21And he gets out, gets the top, realizes Patty's, so he goes
- 6:26back down, gets his wife. So the moral of story, everybody
- 6:33I see, I see a lot of bad asses out there.
- 6:37I'm better than anybody. I can drive in the snow and
- 6:42they're stuck this morning. Be careful.
- 6:46I've done it. I've done it.
- 6:50You know, listen, you know now they got all these front wheel
- 6:54drives and those front wheel drives.
- 6:58If it's only a front wheel drive, you'll get step.
- 7:01You get stuck in a heartbeat. You got to have 4 wheel drive.
- 7:04I don't see very many of these from look here got tractor
- 7:07trailer stuck going strike. That guy stuck going strike.
- 7:15Oh, never forget we the Kmart shut down up the road and now
- 7:22respond what your stories right here tell me how great you
- 7:26thought you were. I'm the greatest I can drive in
- 7:30the snow and yes, it's stuck. I went up to the one of my
- 7:35specialties was raise your hand. Raise your hand if and I'm
- 7:41raising my hand, we go up to the Kmart parking lot when I was a
- 7:45kid and just do Donuts. Wow.
- 7:50Well I had this whole they call them Gtos back in the day and it
- 7:55was pretty junky car. I had a couple junky car.
- 7:58I call them beaters. Raise your hand if you had a
- 8:00beater, did you have a beater? A beater is like I'd move trash
- 8:04cans with it. It was my old car, barely
- 8:08insured. But anyway, I I'm doing the
- 8:13Donuts and then there's a snow pile and I'm going to go.
- 8:15I'm just going to smash through the snow pile.
- 8:18Yeah, I got stuck on top of the snow pile.
- 8:23All right, everybody, I told you a couple of my stories, but
- 8:26especially you races out there. You the greatest, right?
- 8:29You the greatest. We run dirt.
- 8:31We're dirt racers. We don't get stuck in the snow.
- 8:36All right, everybody, take it easy out there.
- 8:39Now take it easy. I know you're the greatest of
- 8:42all time, but you're still gonna get stuck, you dumbass.
