"The WOMAN in BLACK" by Susan Hill
Arthur Kipps, a young solicitor from London, is dispatched to the remote marshlands to settle the estate of the reclusive Mrs. Drablow. As the fog-shrouded causeway submerges with the tide, Kipps unearths a chilling legacy of grief—an abandoned nursery, a ghostly Woman in Black, and the anguished cries of a child.
Adapted for radio by John Strickland and produced by BBC Radio 4 Extra, this haunting four‑part series weaves gothic suspense with the stark beauty of the English coast.
