Okay, so we are on record now and I am excited to have you come on Kristen and just share a little bit about who you are and what you're doing even on social media. So welcome. Kristan Lee: Thank you so much. Thank you so much for having me. I don't even know where to start. So I got started with social media. Honestly, I am a working mom and I was like, I'm going to try TikTok. I'm going to see if I can, you know, make something of this and make money. And that was really like what I started doing TikTok for. And then one day I felt like I just didn't fit in. I was like, all these people are doing trendy things and I just didn't fit in. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Thank you so much for tuning into the Mission for More podcast. I hope that you loved hearing from Kristen. I'm so excited for you to hear the wisdom and nuggets that she has to give and the joy that she radiates. Let's welcome Kristen. Yeah. Kristan Lee: with the trends and I've always loved worship music. It's how I've felt closest to God and I just didn't feel like there were areas like that on TikTok. It wasn't just common for worship music to be shown and so I was like I'm gonna do my own thing. I'm gonna make my own trend and I'm just gonna have fun with it and I want other people to experience worship the way I do and find the love and joy and happiness in it. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and you can see that you genuinely do have fun with it. And I love everything you shared. I'm also a working mom. Part of the reason why I got on social media is the same and also just to share the gospel and be an encouragement for others who are maybe first time Christians in their journey, never had family go before them and things like that. And so I love that we connect there, but I have felt so convicted about music choices in the past and even bummed out when I can't do certain trends. because I would find something and I'm like, this is so funny and here's the take I could do. And then I'm like, why am I even considering it? would never use this song. And so to hear from somebody else that you have had that conviction as well and then you just made your own trend doing it is so encouraging to me even as a creator. Kristan Lee: Thank you Yeah, I honestly fallen in love with it and the amount of feedback I've gotten from other women especially like I just never felt like I fit in and now I feel like this is something this is a place I fit in and that it's so amazing to see how You don't know how God can use you and I never in a million years would have thought that he would have used me on tik-tok and Yeah Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's good. So tell me a little bit. You are a full time working mom. And when you are home, I've seen bits and pieces of where you're sharing about motherhood as ministry. So you obviously take that very seriously. You're an active mom. When it comes to finding time for yourself, you have found that in getting ready and even getting unready talk about that a little bit. Kristan Lee: Yeah, I think... Especially when you're new to motherhood, it's really easy to make your whole life about your children and your spouse and you completely forget about yourself. And that was one thing that I was really intentional with when before I had children, I made that decision. I'm going to get ready every day so that I don't feel the way I look. And I knew if I didn't get ready that I would probably just not feel that great. ⁓ So I really was intentional with taking care of myself and that Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Kristan Lee: one way, even if it was just washing my face in the morning, just to make sure that I knew that I mattered too. And I want my kids to know that their mother also takes care of themself. ⁓ Yes. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah, that's so important. And it's setting, do you have a girl and a boy or is that wrong? Yes, okay. And so I feel like especially for little girls to see their moms get ready and boys too, but so much for girls, like we should be taking care of ourselves and it's okay to have me time. And I think in the beginning of my motherhood journey, I remember even sitting down with... Kristan Lee: I do, a girl and a boy. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: my pastor and the pastor's wife when we were first starting to attend the church that we're at now. And I was saying to the pastor's wife, like how much mom guilt I felt all the time. Like if I would even just lock the bathroom door to go to the bathroom privately, right? I felt mom guilt. And she's like, you have to get rid of that. And I started to slowly chip away at that. Like, it's okay for me to take a shower. It's okay for me to want to get dressed without an audience. Like it's okay for me to do these things because I show up better for them. Kristan Lee: No. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: So kind of even talk about that to you really like, you you're using the music and having fun with it while you're getting like unready or when you're doing your makeup. Is that something that you would do even before you started the TikTok thing? Like just, it's like your fun me time. Kristan Lee: It is. So I used to do it a lot before I had kids. Every morning I made breakfast, my worship music was on, I had a spoon in hand and that was like my worship time and I loved it and I feel like in motherhood I lost that spark a little bit and I still worshiped in the house but not in the way I could just like let my hair down and really just it be me and God. And so I was really intentional with carving out that time for myself because it you know Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. I love it. Yeah. Yeah. Kristan Lee: It refilled my cup and I needed that. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: That's so good. I remember there being a season where I almost like hid that part of myself away because pre coming to Christ for me, I wasn't jamming out to the best of music and I didn't have the convictions that I had now. So I feel like when I became so aware of it, then all of a sudden I'm married and now I'm a mom. I almost felt like that piece of me had to die, but I am somebody who loves to dance around. even sometimes if a good song comes on while we are eating dinner, because we will normally have music playing while we eat dinner, it makes it feel fancy. That's what we call it. And so I will sometimes even get up out of the table and be like, I just got to dance for a second because I just get so excited about music. So to see somebody else doing that to you, just, brings me so much joy. And obviously you're getting feedback from other people, like it's bringing Kristan Lee: Yeah. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: them joy too. Kristan Lee: Yes, I absolutely love it. And I think what's crazy about motherhood is we don't realize how much our kids are observing. And so them seeing their mothers do that, they start doing it too. And to watch them worship, like they can't even contain themselves at their dinner table because we play music too. And they have to get up and they have to worship and they have to dance. And it's just it is the best thing to see, honestly. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and it's bringing back, like I feel like for so long, I don't know, when I was growing up, I feel like family dinners were less common than they were in the generation prior because there were so many two-parent working homes and parents getting home late and it was like, okay, quick before you get to sports. And I feel like right now we're seeing a shift back into this time as a family, this time to connect is so important, especially in Christian households. So to bring the fun into it and say like, yeah, we can get up and jam. during the middle of dinner or like this is a part of our day is just such a fun way to bond because you're literally bonding while giving Christ glory in the process. So I love that you guys do that. How about how does that change things for you? You know, I feel like moms complain often. Like I think about the things that moms normally say and it's like, ⁓ it's the same thing every single day. Like get up and make breakfast and do this and do that. And it can feel very mundane. But when we look at it as a mission field, I think our heart in our perspective changes a little bit. So how does worship and getting up and dancing and moving and finding these new songs break up the mundane for you. Kristan Lee: I think it breaks the routine. mean, the fact that I can learn new songs with my kids and they love hearing and learning new songs too. And, um. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Kristan Lee: It just, having worship music on during our day changes the atmosphere in our home. And it makes motherhood feel less lonely. I think oftentimes that's one of the hardest parts of motherhood is how lonely it can feel, even though there are more people in your home. ⁓ Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Kristan Lee: Putting worship music was a great. It was just a great reminder that God's presence is always with me I had the Holy Spirit within me and that the Holy Spirit is gonna fill this space and I would have to be intentional with My mom always would tell me like look at your children in the eyes because when you look at them you see their innocence and the love that they have Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Kristan Lee: It takes that feeling, all of those feelings where you're looking inward, where your eyes are looking outward at them and your eyes are ultimately on God. So it makes motherhood feel more purposeful and there's glory in motherhood. We are glorifying God in the things that we're doing in our home. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and I even think when you pull worship musing into it and you break up the mundane It's okay for our kids to see us having a bad day It's okay for us to be like i'm in like such a good mood that I want to turn on like the forest frank stuff and like Just go nuts over that then there are days where you're like, I want to listen to like gospel You know like just kind of going through the ebbs and the flows of the way that we feel and when they see us sitting there in repentance to the lord or on our knees because we're having a hard day or dancing around because we're having such a good day. really is allowing them to see how we're coping with the Lord instead of, I mean, I feel like many of us grew up without seeing parents cope. Cause again, it's like sports and babysitters and that dinner time wasn't there and it was just a different time. But now that our kids are able to see that I'm really praying that this next generation doesn't have to go to all of the worldly things. I know that that was part of my story. All the worldly things to figure out how to cope just to be left empty handed. And then eventually turn to God anyway, right? It's like, let's just take them straight to the source from the very beginning and lead by example there. Kristan Lee: you Yes, exactly. And I think we don't realize those small things. Like if they got a, they had a bad moment, they got hurt and we're praying with them out loud and teaching them how to do that themselves, how much that changes them. And by instinct they start doing those things. And I'm so thankful I did have a mother that. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Thank you. Kristan Lee: was a great example of God's love. I watched her worship. It was like in the shower, she was singing to the top of her lungs if she was getting ready. So I know a lot of that came from her. She set that example. And I wanted to be that for my children. And now I can do that. So. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. I love that. Yeah. Yeah, you are doing it. It's so fun. Okay, so tell me what it looks like on the days that are hard or the days where you're like, we need a shift in our home. How do you take it from, okay, I feel like I'm in that place where I'm like, ⁓ the mundane of motherhood or today's a hard day and shift it so that you can bring God back into the rhythms that you have with your kids. Kristan Lee: Honestly, I have to pray through it a lot of the time I'll put some worship music on not loud enough to where we have to dance to it But just enough that I feel like I can just feel it in my heart that it's in the room And most of the time I'll give them an activity that they'll just make an incredible mess Go play with some kinetic sand or go play with whatever you want I just need a moment me and God and I just kind of need to talk with him for a second because Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Kristan Lee: Before I'm a mother I'm a daughter of Christ and when I feel like I don't have that time or if I don't feel like I have that connection with him my whole day feels off and so I know that's the root of the problem is I haven't spent time with God that day most most of the time and So I have to be intentional with talking God. I just I need your presence I needed to fill this home. I need you to fill my heart and I need you to Ultimately just help me take a deep breath Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Kristan Lee: And remember like this is my mission field, this is my ministry and to be so thankful because there are so many times that I prayed for this. And I think that's the biggest thing is I am now, a lot of us are living now what we've prayed for so many times, but now that we have it, we kind of forget about that. ⁓ But that and also being incredibly, having a heart of gratitude, I would say. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Kristan Lee: is a really, really big thing that changes your perspective in motherhood. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah, that's so good. And it's wisdom because if we can get to that place and we can recognize when we need a moment, I have shared several of my like snippets on social media in my front room where we've got like this light and there's a picture about and it's, you know, just a hobby lobby sign, but about new mercies every day. And it's got like the field of flowers, but it's just this little peaceful corner. And my kids even know now that when I go there, like I just also need a minute. And if they could just not climb on me and not be fighting and they almost recognize now because it's been a practice over the last few months. But when they come in, they can come and sit with me, they can sit next to me, they can't be fighting like all these boundaries that we've put up. And it's like they come in and they feel peace. And they reset in that same area too. So it's almost become like a family reset spot. And it's been really cool because I think when we model that, like it's okay to say, Hey, I need you. to go and do this thing really quick so that I can get myself right. Because sometimes we do just need a minute where they are not a part of that prayer time with the Lord. Like we can model it for them and invite them into it all of the time. But like you said, before you are a mother, you are a daughter. And sometimes you just need that one-on-one connection with the Lord really quick before you can come right back. So I love that you're doing that too, because they will eventually. need to have that one-on-one time. It's not going to just be at church on Sunday or just be when mom or dad are leading the prayer or if they're in youth group, like they need to have their own individualized walk with God to make it so personal and be able to actually walk out what we're teaching them in their little years. So that's so great. Kristan Lee: Yes, exactly. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: So I want to go into the question of talking more about gratitude. feel like, you know, my husband has said this to me before, like it comes easier to me. I'm a very optimistic person. I feel like you lean that way too. And I have so much trouble explaining to people how I shift my thought process from like, ⁓ I don't want to do this to like, God, thank you for helping me do this. So give me some examples of what that looks like. Like when you don't want to do the laundry, when you're not feeling up to making dinner for the night, how do you shift it into like, Thank you God for these blessings. Kristan Lee: I think. it all comes from where my eyes set. A lot of the time when I'm feeling those moments of like, ⁓ just don't want to, I don't want to do the laundry today. I really, I don't want to do this, that and the other. It's because I'm looking at all the things that I have to do and I'm looking at my struggles and I'm just looking inward so much and I have to be intentional with keeping my eyes outward. And that's something that I'll tell myself. Like I have to stop and take a minute. Like, okay, God, where are my eyes? Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Kristan Lee: to them up and I'll speak things of gratitude out loud to help myself. So God, thank you for this home. Thank you for these dirty dishes that I do not want to clean, but I'm going to do that because everything in this home you've provided. ⁓ I mean, how many times have we woken up and not wanted to go to work? But then I have to tell myself, thank you God for giving me this job so I can provide for my children. So a lot of it is just being able to shift our focus off of ourselves Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Kristan Lee: and look at God's goodness and how much he's provided. And it's like something just jump starts your heart again. So where you're keeping your eyes on him and that's where your eyes ultimately need to be. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. And it takes practice too. So when you practice it, the more you practice it, the easier it will be to bounce out of that place of like, I don't want to do this because I'll catch myself. And now it's like the laundry, something that's always stuck with me. I heard somebody else say it and I think about it too. Now, like, think of a memory of your kids wearing that piece of clothing that you're folding or Thank you that you're, you know, thank you God that you allowed the kids to have these clothes to go and play in or whatever it is that you think about when you look at that piece of clothing as you're folding it and then set it to the side and then pick up the next memory. And when I'm thinking of it that way, I'm like, I'm so grateful that I have these kids that are able to do all the fun things that we've been able to do and make their clothes dirty and that like we can do these things as a family. And even in my kitchen, so sad, but I've had several friends who have lost children. And from their funerals, I have their pictures on the side of my fridge because often in the kitchen is where I feel like the most overwhelmed some days, just when everyone's pulling at your pant leg and like, I don't want to eat that, but can you feed me? And it's all the needs that are happening at once. I will glance over at those pictures because I'm like in the very moment when I want to complain, someone else is begging God that they had this other memory that I'm building right now. And it just... it shifts things and when we sometimes it takes that extreme to actually shift out of it. But the more we practice and it's like now every time I'm in my kitchen, that's kind of my go to every time I'm folding the laundry. That's my go to because I've practiced it with the Lord and it sounds like you practice it on a regular basis too. Kristan Lee: Mm-hmm. Yep, you definitely, it is not something that comes natural at first. So you have to be really intentional, that's for sure. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah, what about so different practices or key verses? What are some for you that you're like, okay, this is the thing I cling to in this moment just for practical application for the people listening. Kristan Lee: I think cast your anxiety on him because he cares for you. I have held that scripture close to me since college. ⁓ I grew up in a very tight-knit family and when I had to move away from home I was just like did not know what to do with myself at 18 years old and so that one I've always kept really close because I think after motherhood I mean they say your heart lives outside of your chest when you have children and all these anxieties I didn't know that I Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Kristan Lee: could possibly have I developed when I had kids and just for anything really about them you know wanting them to be healthy wanting them to be safe wanting them to know God like all of these things and when I feel all of that anxiousness build up in me I have to tell myself, like, God, I just give it to you. And that verse just reminds me, and I cling to that a lot. And then just, I'm sure everyone loves this verse, but like, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, and I'll just tell in moments where I feel weak. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Mm-hmm. Kristan Lee: I just will always say like, God give me strength. God, you give me strength and I can do this. I can do this through you. And it could be anything really. And I teach my children that too. Like you have a stomach ache, that's where you resort to. I can do all things through Christ. And those are just verses that I feel like they're really common. One that people cling to, but they're also just, they're anchors for me in my life. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I love that. And when we're teaching our kids that in our homes, they are going to remember the same verses that we're speaking in those moments, and that will be the things that they cling to. And I always hear in like Christian circles, or you talk about like Christianese, know, things that sometimes you come into these circles and you're like, wait, what are they saying? But really, if you want scripture written on your heart, it's because you've spoken it out loud, because you've read it, you've studied it, and it's your cling to verse in those moments. We've been using a lot, Matthew 28, 20. Kristan Lee: you All Courtney Her Mind On Mission: in our home just reminding we have one child that will get a little bit nervous about things and I'm like, yes, cast your care, your cares on the Lord, but also remember that he is always with you. Like wherever you go, he's with you. So when we leave the house and we go somewhere that you're not sure of, he's with you. And when we come back home, he's with you. And when we have to make an extra stop in the car that we didn't tell you about beforehand, he's with us. So no big deal because we're doing life with God. And when we have that perspective, it really changes things. So just being able to clean to Scripture, but where does that come from? Mamas, it comes from our own study and our own walk with Him. We can't give that to our kids if we're not experiencing it first. if you haven't opened your Bible today, open it and read. Kristan Lee: Thanks Exactly. too, was always a mom. I wasn't great at memorizing scripture. And from a very young age, my mom would always tell me, you couldn't remember your scripture, just remember the power that's in the name of Jesus. And so that's something that I will always pass down to my kids. Like if you're fearful, if you're worried, if anything, just call upon his name. And I think, you know, that is just as strong. I mean, I could remember as a kid running down the hallway in the dark in the middle of the night. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: ⁓ huh. Yeah. Yeah. Kristan Lee: and just shouting the name of Jesus just because I was like, if I call his name, there's power there, but yeah. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah, I love that. And what an encouragement. I feel like there are a lot of first time, like first generation Christians that are in like the holy habits challenges and just from getting to know my audience and maybe you've experienced this with yours too, just being on a public platform. But so many people that are doing this for the first time, it is so encouraging to me to hear you. living out what your mom showed you and now you're passing that down to your kids. It's a generational faith that's being passed down and it's also individualized too as you've walked out your own story. And so how amazing like the things that I am doing with my kids, I pray that they will look back and be like, yeah, my mom got up from the kitchen table and was dancing and worshiping and praising or teaching me these scriptures. It's such an encouragement to me. I hope that you know that you're encouraging so many moms who are out there really leading the way for their family in Christ. Kristan Lee: Thank you so much. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah, yeah. Do you have like a verse that you would want to give to moms in the thick of motherhood or even a book that you've read that's like this, this has helped me so much? Kristan Lee: I don't know if I could say I'm not an avid book reader. I'm gonna bring it back to worship though. There's a song called Always on Time. And that song has gotten me through so many seasons that God is a God who will always show up, that you will never drown. He will always be there through the thick and through the thin. And I think ⁓ it's just such a declaration during hard times. And I mean, of course I bring it back to worship, but that's just where I feel like. it grounds me and it can ground other people and there's so much power in worship and there's so much such a closeness with God that you can feel and you're inviting the Holy Spirit to be there without even like saying anything. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah, I do. I love that. I love that so much. And I always go back to something I saw, was it something a quote or something that somebody had shared, but like, you cannot like worry while you're worshiping and you cannot like actively think about all the what ifs when you're literally lifting up your praise to Christ. And I'm like, that is so true. I don't think I've ever thought about like, well, what if, or how come this didn't happen this way? Like when I'm praising him, I'm only focused on all of the good or all of the what he can do in the situation, not what what if he doesn't show up here, you know. So such a beautiful thing. I love that. So you share the worship songs and obviously your fun transitions and you also share a bit about motherhood. You've been going live every now and then I've caught you a few times. Tell me what you share there so people know what to expect a little bit more on like the Bible study side even too. Kristan Lee: Yeah, ⁓ I think most times I go live on a Sunday and I usually am getting ready for church or the videos that I'm going to be recording for that day. And I really am just, before I go into my live, I'm praying. I don't go with any, I have no plan. I wing it and I just try to have fun with it. Cause I really just want to meet people where they're at and whatever they want to talk about or need to talk about, I want to be able to be that for them. But we go with Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Kristan Lee: have fun I put worship music on and I take worship song requests so that we can worship together. But I feel like a lot of my... where I come from is I just want you to come as you are and I want to reflect... Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Mm-hmm. Kristan Lee: God and how I speak and I care for others because when people show up to your life you don't know if they're believers or not and you want them to see God's love and God's kindness through you and so I just want to be that safe space for people to come and to experience worship music and just have fun with it and if their first encounter with Christ is through us just having a good old time listening to worship music you know not taking life too seriously Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Right. Yeah. Kristan Lee: It's that's what I want it to be. I want it to be natural and ⁓ I think a big thing that I've told people too is as a reminder I was not always this person and I share that in my lives a lot before I came to Christ I was a mess just like everyone else and so you can come come with your mess and we're gonna we're gonna worship God through it and God's gonna be with you know be with you ⁓ Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Kristan Lee: But yeah, we just have fun. We wing it. And I do share my Bible study. I do a women's Bible study with my family. And we are learning the book of Ephesians, the last one. So if people had questions, I would talk to them about that. Or about just whatever I learned in church service that day. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. I love that you do a Bible study with your family. That is so beautiful. Yeah. Kristan Lee: Thank you. It's helped me grow so much. There's honestly, if you're not in a small group, women, that is like the one thing that I just encourage so many women to do. I was, I can tell you firsthand, I was someone who never thought I would ever join a Bible study because I was so shy. I was like, everyone's gonna know the Bible more than me. I'm not gonna know what to say. I'm gonna be so intimidated. But. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Kristan Lee: They don't care. They want you to come as you are. They want to teach you the word of God. And we're all there to learn. And I mean, what greater gift than joining a Bible study with women that are older than you that have so much wisdom. And that just want to pour into someone, pour into young mothers, especially. So yes, Bible study is such a good, good thing to have in your life. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and it's so important because I think we go to church and then we expect to like learn all the things there. But church is really just supposed to be a place where we can connect over the things that we're learning in our own time, in our own small groups, that more intentional community. And I don't think that we should go to church expecting the work to be done for us because that's not really our own individualized walk. Church is supplemental to our individual walk. And yes, it can be such an inviting place for people to get started. But you don't just stay there. It's like the baby with the milk, right? ⁓ We don't just feed a baby milk the entire time, right? They grow and then eventually they start having solid food and we need that in our lives. And when you can come together and you can not be ashamed in it, right? These women want to help and you can come together and say, I don't know what this means or I'm having trouble understanding this or I've asked my husband even before because he has just studied the Bible way longer than me and knows way more. And so I'll ask him things like I. Really don't understand this part and he will like break it down for me in a way that makes it so much easier to chew on and I used to be ashamed to ask because I'm like I can't believe I don't know this like You know, how long do I have to walk with God before I understand the Bible? Like I can learn a rap song off the radio in 30 seconds But I can't memorize this scripture and understand what it means like what's wrong with my brain But that also is the enemy telling us that we can't get there so that we quit so that we don't keep walking the walk But when we're with with community and we have the accountability and you have people that want to pour into you, it's harder to quit. And once you know what God is about and you start understanding His word, you want more of Him because every time you open it, you're guaranteed to get something out of it. You can even go to numbers and get something out of that. I always tell people I read numbers and I'm like, God is a God of order. What an amazing father. And that is wisdom. Kristan Lee: Exactly. ⁓ We're all getting something. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yes. You have anything else that you want to share with the moms who are listening today or the women who are listening? Kristan Lee: ⁓ I just want to encourage women that they are not alone. That's really the heart of it and that you matter. Yes, you're a mother, but you are a daughter and of the most wonderful father and Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Kristan Lee: to take one to take care of yourself, to invite God to do motherhood with you. He wants to be a part of that season. And I think as moms, and if we were, we had faith prior to having children, we had time to carve out, you know, light a candle, have a cup of coffee and do our Bible study. But God wants to meet you in the season that you're in. And it's not going to look the same that it did before, but it's still just as beautiful. And there are so much purpose in it. And because he already, Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. Kristan Lee: knew that you were going to be the mother of these children. So he wants to walk with you through it. And that's just my encouragement to mothers is to know that they have God through motherhood and that there is nothing ordinary about it. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yeah. It's so beautiful. And even for anyone who's not listening, if you are not a mom, your season still matters. And the people that you might be pouring into or encountering at work, they need you to have Jesus in you so that you can love the way that he first loved you. And then you're going out and that work is now a mission field. Or maybe you're married for the first time and it's in your marriage where you are being tested and iron sharpens iron and it's not always the best, the best and most fun to go through because it is supposed to be sanctifying. And so to have that relationship with the Lord and really circle back to Him every time that things get hard, every time that we need our cup filled, whether we're pouring out as moms or pouring out in our single season wherever you're at, I just know that God wants to fill that cup. And more and more as we continue to go back to Him, we are going to see a greater move of Christ because we are filling up with Him and none of the things of this world. And I think that's the power and beauty, of being on social media and seeing people like yourself. just radiate his joy because other people, I'm sure you get it, like, how do you get there? Or I want what you have. I want to be able to have that much joy. I want to put myself together at the beginning of every day. And it's such an encouragement, but it's not because you look good with makeup on or you're having fun taking your makeup off. It's because the joy of the Lord within you and how many lives will you change and encourage women to get closer to him as you continue to just show up the way that he has made you. So it's very beautiful. Kristan Lee: ⁓ my goodness, thank you. Thank you so much. Courtney Her Mind On Mission: You're welcome. I always love to end the episodes with guests on giving a different flavor of prayer as I call it. So will you pray us out today? Okay. Kristan Lee: Yes, of course. God, I just thank you so much. I thank you for Courtney and her beautiful, beautiful work that she is doing and encouraging women all around, Lord Jesus. And Lord, I just pray that every woman that is listening to this podcast, Lord, we pray that you fill their hearts with gratitude, Lord. We pray that they know that they are not alone in motherhood, Lord, that you knew that this baby that they have or these children that they pray for are gonna be a part of their life, Lord, that you give purpose to them, Lord. that you give them everything that they need and more and that everything you do is for their good Lord Jesus. And Lord, I just thank you for the conversation that we have had. I pray that it encourages other women, Lord. I pray that if they are not believers today that they find you, Lord Jesus, that you enter their hearts and that you just awaken a fire within them, Lord. And Lord, we thank you for all of the mothers who have set such great examples for us, showing us what godly women are like Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yes. Kristan Lee: we are able to pass that down to our children as well Lord Jesus and Lord we just thank you for walking alongside us and filling us with the Holy Spirit and Lord I pray the Holy Spirit fills every heart that is listening in every home and in Jesus name amen Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Yes, Lord. Amen.
