- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey everybody, welcome to Vince on a Tuesday. It's great
- 0:03Speaker 1: to have you with us. As always, the best audience anywhere.
- 0:06Speaker 1: We've got a massive show for you today. You ready
- 0:09Speaker 1: for an ecological disaster of epic proportions that the media
- 0:13Speaker 1: are all but ignoring entirely? That the president of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: United States just forced right into the spotlight overnight? We'll
- 0:20Speaker 1: talk about that. Also updates on the SAVE Act and
- 0:25Speaker 1: yet another horrific shooting at the hands of a transgender lunatic.
- 0:29Speaker 1: When are we going to have the big national conversation
- 0:31Speaker 1: on mental health that we so desperately need? It's all
- 0:34Speaker 1: ahead on this edition of Vince. It's always great to
- 0:37Speaker 1: have you with us. Hey, are you worried by any
- 0:39Speaker 1: chance about upcoming credit card bills? Any credit card bills?
- 0:42Speaker 2: Anything?
- 0:42Speaker 1: Did you accrue some debt during the holidays, for instance,
- 0:45Speaker 1: that has you worried? Well, if you're a homeowner, there
- 0:48Speaker 1: is no better time than right now to call American
- 0:50Speaker 1: Financing and wipe out that debt. Eliminate the stress and
- 0:53Speaker 1: set yourself up for a very strong 2026. Now, the
- 0:57Speaker 1: Fed actually dropped rates for the fourth time in December,
- 1:01Speaker 1: and American financing can now help you access the equity
- 1:03Speaker 1: that's in your home at an interest rate in the
- 1:06Speaker 1: low fives. You heard me correctly. That's in the low fives. Now,
- 1:10Speaker 1: that's a much lower rate than the average 20% or
- 1:13Speaker 1: more credit card rate. American financing is saving their customers
- 1:17Speaker 1: an average of $ 800 a month. That's huge, actually. Stretch
- 1:22Speaker 1: that over a year, and all of a sudden, you're
- 1:24Speaker 1: saving like $ 10, 000.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Big.
- 1:27Speaker 1: There are no upfront fees. There are no obligations to
- 1:29Speaker 1: see how much you can actually save. They're closing for
- 1:32Speaker 1: some people in as fast as 10 days, and they're
- 1:34Speaker 1: even delaying two mortgage payments. American Financing is America's home
- 1:39Speaker 1: for home loans. So call them today at 888-879-6460. That's 888-879-6460. Americanfinancing.net
- 1:41Speaker 1: slash fence. All right. So the Poop-Tomic disaster continues in Washington, D.C.
- 2:02Speaker 1: For those of you familiar with the Potomac River, which
- 2:05Speaker 1: I think most Americans know, the Potomac River is right
- 2:07Speaker 1: there up against the nation's capital. It flows to the southeast.
- 2:12Speaker 1: The river flows to the southeast. And so just to
- 2:15Speaker 1: the northwest of the District of Columbia in January, if
- 2:20Speaker 1: you go back to January 19th, to be exact, A
- 2:24Speaker 1: six-foot-wide pipeline burst open, dumping nearly, at this point, 300
- 2:33Speaker 1: million gallons of raw sewage directly into the Potomac River.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And where does it go? Well, right by the nation's capital,
- 2:45Speaker 1: the swamp just got a lot swampier over the last month,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and we're talking about a lot of raw sewage. It's disgusting.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Look at this. Here's local news coverage as the public
- 2:55Speaker 1: is being warned to stay away from the contaminated Potomac
- 2:58Speaker 1: River after this historic raw sewage spill. Take a look
- 3:04Speaker 1: at this. Cut one.
- 3:05Speaker 2: A sewage pipeline collapsed, pouring E. coli and staph into
- 3:09Speaker 2: the Potomac River.
- 3:10Speaker 1: It's a big concern.
- 3:11Speaker 2: It's certainly not great for tourism or for anybody wanting
- 3:14Speaker 2: to do stuff on the water. It's horrifying.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 4: And are there any safe levels for those for anybody?
- 3:19Speaker 5: No.
- 3:20Speaker 2: To this point, it is estimated nearly 250 million gallons
- 3:25Speaker 2: of sewage have.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Contaminated the river.
- 3:27Speaker 2: D.C., Maryland, and most recently, Virginia health and environmental agencies
- 3:33Speaker 2: are warning people and pets to stay away from the water.
- 3:36Speaker 2: The EPA and public health recommendation is that swimming is
- 3:39Speaker 2: not recommended when E.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Coli levels are above 410.
- 3:42Speaker 1: The levels near the drainage channel continue to exceed that.
- 3:46Speaker 1: By how much?
- 3:47Speaker 2: DC water sampling says almost 2,000 times higher than safe
- 3:52Speaker 2: levels at times.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Super dangerous, you know, bacteria that can cause infection or
- 3:58Speaker 3: prevent treatment for infection.
- 4:01Speaker 1: 2,000 times higher. than safe levels. It's crazy what has
- 4:09Speaker 1: happened as all this raw sewage pours right into the
- 4:13Speaker 1: river again that flows past the nation's capital. And the
- 4:16Speaker 1: president of the United States last night has finally brought
- 4:19Speaker 1: this to not just a local story, but to the
- 4:22Speaker 1: nation's attention, because he jumped in with a post on
- 4:25Speaker 1: Truth Social saying that it is out of control what
- 4:29Speaker 1: the Democrats who run this area are have done. Now, remember,
- 4:33Speaker 1: Democrats control through Muriel Bowser, Washington, D.C. Democrats now control
- 4:38Speaker 1: Virginia in the form of that awful Abigail Spanberger. And
- 4:42Speaker 1: where this colossal ecological disaster occurred, it's the state that's
- 4:47Speaker 1: controlled by Democrat Governor Wes Moore. Wes Moore. We've got
- 4:51Speaker 1: a lot to say about Wes Moore today. Wes Moore,
- 4:53Speaker 1: you're in the hot seat. We've got you ahead. But
- 4:56Speaker 1: look at this. Donald Trump saying last night, that it
- 5:01Speaker 1: is long past time for somebody to do something about this.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Here he is saying there's a massive ecological disaster unfolding
- 5:08Speaker 1: in the Potomac River as a result of the gross
- 5:10Speaker 1: mismanagement of local Democrat leaders, particularly Governor Wes Moore of Maryland.
- 5:16Speaker 1: A sewer line in Maryland has caused millions of gallons
- 5:19Speaker 1: of raw sewage, hundreds of millions, hundreds of millions is
- 5:24Speaker 1: the point. This is, let me just emphasize something here
- 5:26Speaker 1: as I interrupt the President's Truth Social post. We are
- 5:31Speaker 1: looking at 300 million gallons of raw sewage in the
- 5:37Speaker 1: Potomac River. You want some comparisons? My friend Katie Pavlich
- 5:40Speaker 1: made this comparison. This is a great one, an unfortunate one.
- 5:43Speaker 1: 1989 Exxon Valdez disaster spilled 10 million gallons of oil.
- 5:49Speaker 1: 10 million. This is 300 million gallons of raw human waste.
- 5:57Speaker 1: The 2010 Deepwater Horizon disaster spilled 210 million gallons of oil.
- 6:04Speaker 1: This is 300 million gallons of raw sewage. The scale
- 6:12Speaker 1: of this is historic. It is awful. The president saying
- 6:17Speaker 1: a lot of this, all this raw sewage has been
- 6:18Speaker 1: dumped directly into the Potomac River. It's a result of
- 6:21Speaker 1: incompetent local and state management of essential waste management systems.
- 6:26Speaker 1: This is the same governor who cannot rebuild a bridge,
- 6:29Speaker 1: he says. Of course, you remember the Francis Scott Key
- 6:31Speaker 1: Bridge and its collapse and the disaster and not only
- 6:35Speaker 1: its fall, but the failure to rebuild it with any speed.
- 6:39Speaker 1: It is clear local authorities cannot adequately handle this calamity. Therefore,
- 6:44Speaker 1: I am directing federal authorities to immediately provide all necessary management,
- 6:48Speaker 1: direction and coordination to protect the Potomac, the water supply
- 6:51Speaker 1: in the capital region and our treasured national resources in
- 6:54Speaker 1: our nation's capital city. While state and local authorities have
- 6:57Speaker 1: failed to request needed emergency help, I cannot allow incompetent
- 7:01Speaker 1: local leadership to turn the river in the heart of
- 7:03Speaker 1: Washington into a disaster zone. As we saw in the Palisades,
- 7:08Speaker 1: the Democrat war on merit has real consequences. The federal
- 7:11Speaker 1: government has no choice but to step in. FEMA, which
- 7:15Speaker 1: is currently being defunded by the Democrats, being defunded as
- 7:20Speaker 1: we speak, will play a key role in coordinating the response.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Trump.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So the president's all over it, calling out this, again,
- 7:35Speaker 1: ecological disaster. And where are we on this? Now, of course,
- 7:41Speaker 1: this happened on January 19th. This is a six-foot-wide concrete pipeline.
- 7:47Speaker 1: It collapsed right near I-495 in the Claire Barton Parkway.
- 7:51Speaker 1: began pouring all of this sewage into the Potomac. In
- 7:54Speaker 1: the intervening days, the EPA went in immediately. So I
- 7:59Speaker 1: know the president here is deploying FEMA, he's deploying other
- 8:02Speaker 1: federal resources, but the EPA went in immediately. How do
- 8:07Speaker 1: we know that? Well, that's because right after the disaster,
- 8:12Speaker 1: the Associated Press put out information saying that a woman
- 8:17Speaker 1: by the name of Kelly Offner, a U.S. EPA spokeswoman
- 8:20Speaker 1: for the mid-Atlantic region, said the agency was coordinating with D.C.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Water to get all over this thing, the Maryland Department
- 8:29Speaker 1: of the Environment. And let me see, let me pull that,
- 8:33Speaker 1: pull this up for you. Here it is. Kelly Loftner, U.S.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Environmental Protection Agency spokeswoman for the Mid-Atlantic region, said the
- 8:39Speaker 1: agency is coordinating with DC Water, the Maryland Department of
- 8:42Speaker 1: the Environment, and other federal, state, and local authorities to
- 8:44Speaker 1: assess the impact on the environment from the Potomac Interceptor
- 8:47Speaker 1: sanitary sewer overflow. The federal agency oversees DC Water's sewer
- 8:53Speaker 1: operations under a 2015 federal consent decree. She said DC
- 8:58Speaker 1: Water has provided daily updates since the overflow was discovered
- 9:01Speaker 1: January 19th and has been coordinating efforts to contain it,
- 9:06Speaker 1: monitor environmental impacts, and communicate with the public. And what
- 9:09Speaker 1: have they done since then? Well, they've been pumping the
- 9:13Speaker 1: sewage away from the Potomac into a nearby canal as
- 9:18Speaker 1: a bypass system, and then pumping it back into the
- 9:23Speaker 1: currently working portion of the pipeline. That's how they've been
- 9:27Speaker 1: handling it since then. So The federal government has intervened
- 9:32Speaker 1: and now is going to intervene at an even greater
- 9:33Speaker 1: level now to clean up this colossal mess. So the
- 9:38Speaker 1: president puts this out. And of course, you see that
- 9:40Speaker 1: he takes a clear shot at Governor Wes Moore, who's
- 9:44Speaker 1: been an utter failure on all of this. Wes Moore,
- 9:48Speaker 1: what has he tweeted about any of this? What has
- 9:51Speaker 1: he had to say about any of this? What kind
- 9:53Speaker 1: of statements has he made? Well, here we go. Here's
- 9:56Speaker 1: an answer to that question.
- 9:58Speaker 5: Nothing.
- 9:59Speaker 1: He hasn't tweeted anything about it up until yesterday responding
- 10:02Speaker 1: to the president. But first, here's what he was tweeting about.
- 10:05Speaker 1: This was yesterday, February 16th. Earlier in the day, He wrote,
- 10:11Speaker 1: climate change is a threat to all of us. In
- 10:14Speaker 1: Maryland and worldwide, this reversal in environmental regulations, he's talking
- 10:18Speaker 1: about the EPA getting rid of the endangerment finding, the
- 10:22Speaker 1: insane endangerment finding. President Trump did the right thing. He's
- 10:25Speaker 1: saving America by doing that. This reversal will put us
- 10:28Speaker 1: all in danger. We must continue to uphold regulations previously
- 10:31Speaker 1: made by the EPA in order to protect our planet.
- 10:34Speaker 1: says Westmore. So Westmore is tweeting all about the, quote,
- 10:37Speaker 1: environment when he thinks he can control the weather by
- 10:41Speaker 1: stealing money from you. But he hasn't said a damn
- 10:45Speaker 1: thing about the Potomac being polluted by raw sewage from
- 10:49Speaker 1: his state, over 300 million gallons of it. He said
- 10:56Speaker 1: nothing about it at all. Monday evening was the first time,
- 11:03Speaker 1: last night was the first time we got any statement
- 11:05Speaker 1: whatsoever from Roy Moore. Excuse me, not Roy Moore, Westmore.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Roy Moore's from a much earlier news cycle years ago.
- 11:11Speaker 1: From Westmore. Here's what Westmore said, finally. He attacks the president.
- 11:19Speaker 1: The president has his facts wrong. Since the last century,
- 11:21Speaker 1: the federal government has been responsible for the Potomac Interceptor,
- 11:24Speaker 1: which is the origin of the Sewage League. For the
- 11:25Speaker 1: last four weeks, the Trump administration has failed to act.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I just told you they have not. The EPA was
- 11:30Speaker 1: on it immediately. shirking its responsibility and putting people's health
- 11:33Speaker 1: at risk. Notably, the president's own EPA explicitly refused to
- 11:37Speaker 1: participate in the major legislative hearing about the cleanup last Friday.
- 11:42Speaker 1: So the EPA didn't participate in a Democrat-run hearing last Friday?
- 11:46Speaker 1: Where were you, Wes Moore? Why are you passing the
- 11:48Speaker 1: buck to everybody else here? Where is the governor of
- 11:50Speaker 1: the state with this gigantic disaster? Why isn't he standing
- 11:54Speaker 1: next to the river demonstrating that he's on top of
- 11:57Speaker 1: the issue? This is the first time he's ever mentioned
- 12:00Speaker 1: any of this. In fact, if you want some proof
- 12:05Speaker 1: that this is the first time he's ever mentioned any
- 12:07Speaker 1: of this, I asked Grok about it. I said, hey, Grok,
- 12:09Speaker 1: what other statements has Westmore himself made about the Potomac
- 12:12Speaker 1: spill since it occurred in Maryland on January 19th? You
- 12:15Speaker 1: ready for this? Grok says this to me. Based on
- 12:18Speaker 1: searches across all news sources, X, and official sites, I
- 12:21Speaker 1: found no direct public statements from Governor Westmore on the
- 12:24Speaker 1: Potomac sewage spill since January 19th.
- 12:29Speaker 5: None.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Not a single one. Westmore doesn't have time. for the
- 12:35Speaker 1: people who are suffering in his own state as a
- 12:38Speaker 1: result of an open sewage leak spill in his own state.
- 12:44Speaker 1: That's who Wes Moore is. Wes Moore is a liar.
- 12:49Speaker 1: He's a fabulist, to use a fancy word. Look it up, AOC.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Wes Moore is a ridiculous human being. And now we
- 12:57Speaker 1: have a colossal disaster going on in the nation's capital,
- 13:00Speaker 1: which have you noticed that the media has not really
- 13:03Speaker 1: discussed this at all? Clearly, it affects the people around
- 13:08Speaker 1: the national capital region directly. But just think about the
- 13:12Speaker 1: scale of this, 300 million gallons of raw sewage. And look,
- 13:18Speaker 1: I get it. Like, there's a lot of attention right
- 13:21Speaker 1: now on the search for Nancy Guthrie, for instance. A
- 13:24Speaker 1: horrible story. Easy to get your head around. Horrible to
- 13:27Speaker 1: see somebody's mother taken in this way. It's a huge
- 13:30Speaker 1: mystery that people are trying to solve. It's kind of
- 13:32Speaker 1: like a forensic mystery. And the American public is totally
- 13:35Speaker 1: captivated by forensic mysteries, which is why there's so many
- 13:38Speaker 1: television shows that have been huge hits on those subjects.
- 13:41Speaker 1: So obvious that a lot of people are paying attention
- 13:43Speaker 1: to that. But the media has devoted a tremendous amount
- 13:45Speaker 1: of time to that story. How come we haven't had
- 13:47Speaker 1: immense coverage of a 300 million gallon spill of raw
- 13:51Speaker 1: sewage into the Potomac River? Why is it that that
- 13:56Speaker 1: story has been suppressed? You know the answer to this.
- 13:59Speaker 1: It's because Wes Moore is a Democrat. That's why. It's
- 14:03Speaker 1: because D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser is a Democrat. It's because
- 14:08Speaker 1: Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger is a Democrat. The last thing
- 14:11Speaker 1: they want to do is call attention to a disaster
- 14:14Speaker 1: where Democrats are called to lead us out of it.
- 14:19Speaker 1: And they're failing to do that. So now President Trump
- 14:22Speaker 1: has to do the job. President Trump is stepping up. Now,
- 14:26Speaker 1: don't doubt what happens next, of course. They're going to
- 14:28Speaker 1: accuse President Trump of being responsible. Wes Moore just attempted
- 14:31Speaker 1: to do it. It's your fault. It's your fault. And
- 14:34Speaker 1: then the media is going to dutifully carry his water
- 14:37Speaker 1: in an effort to turn this into some sort of
- 14:38Speaker 1: political cudgel against Trump, because this is always the way
- 14:41Speaker 1: these things go. But yeah, no, this is yet another
- 14:48Speaker 1: dramatic crisis, kind of like the East Palestine fire, actually.
- 14:54Speaker 1: where the Biden administration was setting chemicals on fire and
- 14:57Speaker 1: an entire community was desperately hoping for some sort of
- 15:01Speaker 1: answers as people were becoming sick due to all of this.
- 15:04Speaker 1: And they got no answers. They were basically ignored, especially
- 15:06Speaker 1: because they were Trump voters in that case. And it
- 15:09Speaker 1: took the Trump administration finally coming into office for any
- 15:13Speaker 1: wrongs to be righted in East Palestine. And here we
- 15:16Speaker 1: are yet again, this time Democrats have all sorts of
- 15:19Speaker 1: culpability and the media are working overtime to cover it up.
- 15:23Speaker 1: So we won't. We'll just tell you exactly what's going on. Now,
- 15:26Speaker 1: I got more on Wes Moore because I mentioned he's
- 15:28Speaker 1: a fabulous, the guy's a ridiculous human being. He's lied
- 15:32Speaker 1: a lot. And there's been some very good coverage of this.
- 15:35Speaker 1: And in fact, he was just asked this weekend about
- 15:39Speaker 1: what an incredible liar he is by CBS of all places. Now,
- 15:43Speaker 1: of course, CBS, they threw up a huge softball as
- 15:48Speaker 1: they asked the question. But nonetheless, Wes Moore is, had
- 15:52Speaker 1: to try and bat it down. Kind of fascinating. I've
- 15:54Speaker 1: got the details on it ahead on the guy who really, Democrats,
- 15:58Speaker 1: there's a lot of Democrats who think this guy has
- 16:00Speaker 1: presidential timber, that he's the next Barack Obama, that he's
- 16:03Speaker 1: going to be the great hope for their party. Really?
- 16:07Speaker 5: All right.
- 16:08Speaker 1: So we'll take a look. Who is this guy? More
- 16:10Speaker 1: ahead on this edition of this. Let me talk about
- 16:12Speaker 1: other things I've been watching closely. First of all, I've
- 16:15Speaker 1: been watching A lot of the Olympics, the Winter Olympics.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I like the Olympics. I like it. I like speed skating.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I thought speed skating is great, especially when you get
- 16:23Speaker 1: a lot of speed skaters on the ice on the
- 16:24Speaker 1: short track. And they're all just slamming into each other
- 16:27Speaker 1: and running into the mats. And it's actually really cool.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I love the chaos of it. But another thing I've
- 16:33Speaker 1: been watching has been Olympic hockey. Olympic hockey, men's hockey.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Our team destroyed the Germans the other day, which is
- 16:42Speaker 1: really great and satisfying. We're moving forward here to a
- 16:45Speaker 1: couple of big games this week. But the big question
- 16:48Speaker 1: on the minds of so many is, truly, the two
- 16:52Speaker 1: big teams to watch are the United States and Canada.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Who's going to win? Who's going to win the gold?
- 16:58Speaker 1: Will it be the United States or Canada? Well, great question.
- 17:02Speaker 1: On Couchy, this question is being assessed right now. And
- 17:06Speaker 1: at the moment, most people on Couchy think Canada wins.
- 17:11Speaker 1: for the men's ice hockey gold. 55% say that. Meanwhile,
- 17:16Speaker 1: 34% have the United States winning, and then 7% have
- 17:20Speaker 1: Finland winning. And my assumption is all of those people
- 17:23Speaker 1: are Finns. But meanwhile, the United States, that's where I
- 17:28Speaker 1: think the good money should be. The United States should
- 17:30Speaker 1: win this thing. I'm rooting on America as always, and
- 17:34Speaker 1: love to see these guys compete. At any rate, Cal
- 17:36Speaker 1: State is an awesome place to take a look at
- 17:38Speaker 1: all of this and see what people think is actually
- 17:39Speaker 1: going to happen. It's not just politics, economics, it's sports.
- 17:43Speaker 1: They've got markets on everything. Inflation numbers, pop culture. I
- 17:46Speaker 1: like looking at Kalshi to see what the odds are,
- 17:48Speaker 1: see what people are betting on. It's like getting a
- 17:50Speaker 1: pulse on what the world thinks is going to happen.
- 17:52Speaker 1: You can go to Kalshi.com slash Vince and get a
- 17:54Speaker 1: free $ 10 credit when you trade 100 bucks. That's Kalshi.com
- 17:58Speaker 1: slash Vince. Once again, Kalshi.com slash Vince. You have to
- 18:02Speaker 1: be 21 and the purchaser must be present in the
- 18:04Speaker 1: state where the trade is placed. See important disclosures at Kalshi.com.

- 18:12Speaker 1: and we are grateful to have Kalshi as a sponsor
- 18:14Speaker 1: of our program. Thank you, Kalshi, for supporting us. Okay,
- 18:18Speaker 1: so Westmore. Westmore's a big fat liar. It's unreal. Let
- 18:24Speaker 1: me take you through the record first before we get
- 18:26Speaker 1: to the game tape of him being asked about all this.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Westmore has told a number of very tall tales about
- 18:33Speaker 1: his life and his rise in American politics. He's now
- 18:36Speaker 1: the governor of Maryland. He hopes to one day be
- 18:39Speaker 1: the president of the United States. It's crystal clear. And
- 18:43Speaker 1: there was a story, the Washington Free Beacon that has
- 18:46Speaker 1: a team of reporters. First of all, it's one of
- 18:48Speaker 1: my absolute favorite news outlets. The Washington Free Beacon is
- 18:51Speaker 1: one of my absolute favorite news outlets. They do real productive,
- 18:56Speaker 1: conservative American journalism every day. And they have some of
- 19:02Speaker 1: the best reporters imaginable working for them. And including a
- 19:08Speaker 1: great guy called Andrew Kerr. Andrew Kerr, who is a
- 19:13Speaker 1: super talented reporter. I've had the pleasure of working with
- 19:15Speaker 1: him in the past. And Andrew Kerr produced a piece
- 19:18Speaker 1: of reporting in the beginning of February, February 4th, with
- 19:22Speaker 1: the headline, Westmore says the KKK chased his great-grandfather out
- 19:26Speaker 1: of South Carolina. Historical records tell a different story. And so, okay,
- 19:33Speaker 1: so this is a big origin story about Westmore's family.
- 19:36Speaker 1: What do we learn from this? Well, the reason I
- 19:39Speaker 1: love this reporting is because it took digging into historic
- 19:43Speaker 1: records and actually producing receipts about Westmore's ancestors. And so
- 19:48Speaker 1: this is datelined and South Carolina, which means that Andrew
- 19:52Speaker 1: Kerr went to Charleston, South Carolina. That's what a dateline
- 19:55Speaker 1: means at the top. And he investigated all of this.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Maryland Governor Westmore, who is widely expected to seek the
- 20:04Speaker 1: has a very powerful family story of racial injustice. He
- 20:07Speaker 1: repeatedly tells it during public speeches. His grandfather, as a
- 20:10Speaker 1: small boy, fled 1920s Charleston with his family in the
- 20:14Speaker 1: dead of night after his father, a prominent black minister
- 20:17Speaker 1: and Moore's great-grandfather, angered the Ku Klux Klan with sermons
- 20:23Speaker 1: condemning racism. Narrowly escaping a lynching, the family took refuge
- 20:28Speaker 1: in Jamaica. But Moore's grandfather, just six years old at
- 20:31Speaker 1: the time, vowed to return to America, where he eventually
- 20:34Speaker 1: raised a grandson who made history in 2022 by becoming
- 20:38Speaker 1: Maryland's first black governor. It's a story straight out of Hollywood,
- 20:44Speaker 1: and it was a central feature of Moore's 2022 campaign
- 20:47Speaker 1: stump speech, in which he described a version of American
- 20:50Speaker 1: patriotism wherein loving your country does not mean lying about
- 20:53Speaker 1: its history. He's been telling this story since his 2014 memoir.
- 20:58Speaker 1: He was retold it countless times as he's seeking to
- 21:00Speaker 1: reclaim patriotism for the Democrat Party and to contextualize his
- 21:04Speaker 1: own unlikely rise to power. But there's a problem with
- 21:08Speaker 1: Moore's story. It's flatly contradicted by historical records, and it's
- 21:13Speaker 1: almost certainly false. Almost certainly false. Andrew goes on to
- 21:19Speaker 1: say the following. He says, Moore's great-grandfather, the Reverend Josiah
- 21:24Speaker 1: Johnson Thomas, did preach, in fact, in the 1920s at
- 21:27Speaker 1: a church in Pineville, South Carolina, 65 miles north of Charleston.
- 21:32Speaker 1: But historical records housed at the archives of the Protestant
- 21:35Speaker 1: Episcopal Church and the Diocese of South Carolina undercut the
- 21:38Speaker 1: three main elements of his story. That Thomas suddenly fled
- 21:42Speaker 1: the country in secret, that he was targeted by the
- 21:44Speaker 1: Ku Klux Klan, and that he was a prominent preacher
- 21:46Speaker 1: who spoke from the pulpit against racism. The piece goes
- 21:50Speaker 1: on to basically detail how the church kept extensive records
- 21:56Speaker 1: about its clergy, including the dates at which they arrived,
- 22:00Speaker 1: the dates they left, the circumstances of their departure. All
- 22:03Speaker 1: of these things are all contained in historic church records
- 22:06Speaker 1: that are still preserved in South Carolina. Andrew Kerr went
- 22:09Speaker 1: and consulted them. And what did he find? His grandfather
- 22:13Speaker 1: didn't flee because of the Ku Klux Klan. His grandfather
- 22:17Speaker 1: was a Jamaican who went back to Jamaica to become
- 22:22Speaker 1: the head pastor at a church where the pastor had
- 22:25Speaker 1: just died. The pastor died, he was notified, and he
- 22:30Speaker 1: immediately left the United States to go back to Jamaica
- 22:33Speaker 1: to run that church. All of the historic records line up.
- 22:38Speaker 1: For that true recitation of facts, rather than the nonsense
- 22:43Speaker 1: that Wes Moore is now running on, he's campaigning with. Oh,
- 22:48Speaker 1: the Ku Klux Klan and all this stuff. And so
- 22:51Speaker 1: how is Wes Moore responding to all of this? Well,
- 22:53Speaker 1: the same way you'd expect him to respond. He's accusing
- 22:55Speaker 1: the Washington Free Beacon of being racist and not appreciating
- 22:58Speaker 1: the threat of the Ku Klux Klan and all these
- 22:59Speaker 1: other things. By the way, if your message is that
- 23:03Speaker 1: the Ku Klux Klan served as a grave threat to
- 23:05Speaker 1: your family, that A group of extremist Democrats were a
- 23:11Speaker 1: threat to your family, such a threat that they ran
- 23:13Speaker 1: your whole family out of the country. Why today would
- 23:16Speaker 1: you be a Democrat and run for governor of Maryland
- 23:21Speaker 1: and then subsequently try and go on to run for
- 23:23Speaker 1: president as a Democrat if it was that party who
- 23:27Speaker 1: was a threat to you? The whole thing makes no
- 23:29Speaker 1: sense whatsoever. Andrew Kerr's reporting is airtight. It is incredible.
- 23:39Speaker 1: It is so good. And Wes Moore is a ridiculous
- 23:43Speaker 1: human being. So Wes Moore was asked about this by
- 23:46Speaker 1: CBS over the weekend. Norah O'Donnell had a town hall
- 23:49Speaker 1: with Wes Moore. And watch as she asks in the
- 23:52Speaker 1: most gentle way possible. And there's a reason she does
- 23:54Speaker 1: it this way. Look, she knows that the free beacon
- 23:58Speaker 1: has this guy dead to rights. She knows that it
- 24:00Speaker 1: would be the craziest thing ever if she didn't even
- 24:03Speaker 1: ask about this. So she checks the box and she
- 24:06Speaker 1: asks it in not, she's not like trying to cross-examine
- 24:10Speaker 1: the guy. She's not trying to dig for details. She's
- 24:12Speaker 1: not skeptical of his recitation of the facts. She's just like,
- 24:16Speaker 1: go ahead, attack the free beacon if you want. Here's
- 24:19Speaker 1: Norah O'Donnell and Wes Moore.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Watch.
- 24:21Speaker 4: They are also raising questions, and I want to give
- 24:23Speaker 4: you the opportunity to respond to it. It's something you
- 24:25Speaker 4: wrote about in your book. You talk about on the
- 24:27Speaker 4: campaign stunt that your great-grandfather was run out of South
- 24:30Speaker 4: Carolina in the 1920s by the KKK.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Okay.
- 24:33Speaker 4: The Free Beacon is casting doubt on that with church records.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Can you address that?
- 24:37Speaker 5: I mean, the same right-wing blog? I can. I can
- 24:43Speaker 5: address the fact that I'm the grandson of someone who
- 24:47Speaker 5: was born in South Carolina. And when he was just
- 24:51Speaker 5: a child, the Ku Klux Klan ran their family, ran
- 24:56Speaker 5: my family out. And not out of South Carolina. They
- 24:59Speaker 5: ran them out of the United States of America and
- 25:01Speaker 5: they went to Jamaica. And much of my family has
- 25:03Speaker 5: always said they would never come back to this country.
- 25:06Speaker 5: It's the reason why my mom right now as we
- 25:08Speaker 5: speak is in Jamaica and she's visiting with family members.
- 25:13Speaker 5: But my grandfather came back to this country. He got
- 25:17Speaker 5: his degree from Lincoln University and HBCU in Pennsylvania. He
- 25:21Speaker 5: became a minister just like his father. And he became
- 25:26Speaker 5: the first black minister in the history of the Dutch
- 25:29Speaker 5: Reformed Church. I know my family's history. So if some
- 25:35Speaker 5: blog has a question about the Klan's history, maybe they
- 25:39Speaker 5: should ask the Ku Klux Klan.
- 25:43Speaker 1: I love that. Oh, you should ask the Ku Klux Klan.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Go ask them. It's so crazy. Now, it'd be one
- 25:49Speaker 1: thing if this was a one-off. It'd be like, it'd
- 25:50Speaker 1: be one thing if, you know, maybe this is a
- 25:53Speaker 1: broken retelling. Maybe in the family, this story got muddled
- 25:56Speaker 1: and he just had the wrong story. You know, people
- 25:57Speaker 1: get things wrong, even including about their family's own history.
- 26:01Speaker 1: And you can chalk it up to just, you know,
- 26:03Speaker 1: this was a bad one. I messed this up. But
- 26:06Speaker 1: it's not the first time. Westmore lies all the time.
- 26:09Speaker 1: There's a pattern here. Andrew Kern, the same piece, summarizes
- 26:13Speaker 1: it this way. He looked at this. He goes, you know,
- 26:16Speaker 1: Moore falsely claimed that he was born and grew up
- 26:18Speaker 1: in Baltimore. He did not. He claimed that he was
- 26:21Speaker 1: inducted into the Maryland College Football Hall of Fame. It's
- 26:24Speaker 1: an organization that doesn't exist. He claimed that he received
- 26:27Speaker 1: a bronze star for his service in Afghanistan, which he
- 26:30Speaker 1: had not. He claimed that in 2006, he was considered
- 26:34Speaker 1: a foremost expert on radical Islam based on his graduate thesis,
- 26:38Speaker 1: which he never even submitted to Oxford University's library and
- 26:41Speaker 1: can no longer locate. He claimed that he was a
- 26:43Speaker 1: doctoral candidate at Oxford in 2006, a claim he has
- 26:47Speaker 1: no documentation to support and on which Oxford refuses to comment.
- 26:51Speaker 1: He claimed that he had a difficult childhood in the Bronx,
- 26:54Speaker 1: in Baltimore, despite attending New York City's elite private Riverdale
- 26:59Speaker 1: Country School, where John F. Kennedy went to school. And
- 27:02Speaker 1: by the way, I checked the tuition yesterday as I
- 27:05Speaker 1: was looking through this, $ 60, 000 a year right now to
- 27:09Speaker 1: go to that school. He claimed he.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Did this. He claimed he had a difficult childhood in
- 27:15Speaker 1: the Bronx in Baltimore as a child. And he didn't
- 27:20Speaker 1: live in Baltimore. He didn't live in Baltimore as a child.
- 27:23Speaker 1: He moved there in college.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Why?
- 27:25Speaker 1: Because he went to Johns Hopkins University, which is another
- 27:29Speaker 1: elite private school. By the way, Johns Hopkins is like,
- 27:33Speaker 1: if you ever go to Baltimore, it's a weird oasis
- 27:36Speaker 1: in Baltimore because surrounding Johns Hopkins is a lot of
- 27:39Speaker 1: really rough areas in the city of Baltimore. But then
- 27:41Speaker 1: suddenly you get to Johns Hopkins and it's like, holy cow,
- 27:44Speaker 1: this is like a different world. They've got an elite
- 27:46Speaker 1: medical institution, an elite university right there in the middle
- 27:50Speaker 1: of Baltimore. And that's the world in which he entered
- 27:54Speaker 1: in college. And so Wes Moore has this ridiculous fictional
- 27:59Speaker 1: biography that he keeps bandying about on various campaign trails.
- 28:03Speaker 1: And you get these media goons who just nod along enthusiastically.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And The Nora O'Donnell question, to go back to the
- 28:09Speaker 1: way she asked it, she said something to the effect
- 28:11Speaker 1: of like, oh, the Free Beacon has cast doubt on
- 28:14Speaker 1: your claims with church records. Do you want to respond?
- 28:19Speaker 1: How does that inform the CBS audience that's watching this
- 28:23Speaker 1: about the details of what the Free Beacon learned? How
- 28:27Speaker 1: does that in any way illuminate the case against Wes Moore?
- 28:33Speaker 1: It doesn't. She just merely said some other place is
- 28:37Speaker 1: casting doubt on your claims. What do you have to
- 28:39Speaker 1: say about.
- 28:41Speaker 2: That?
- 28:41Speaker 1: That is an epic softball across the plate. And Wes
- 28:46Speaker 1: Moore went to the same move that all these Democrats do,
- 28:50Speaker 1: which is my opponents are racist. My critics are racist.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Anybody who would dare scrutinize me is a racist. So
- 28:57Speaker 1: shut up. How about no? We're going to keep talking
- 29:00Speaker 1: and keep proving you to be the fraud that you are,
- 29:02Speaker 1: Wes Moore. now the governor of Maryland, now overseeing a
- 29:06Speaker 1: historic ecological disaster that he didn't talk about until yesterday
- 29:11Speaker 1: when he decided to attack Donald Trump. We got a
- 29:14Speaker 1: lot more ahead on this edition of Vince. Amazing. Yes,
- 29:18Speaker 1: it is very Obama-esque, isn't it? Patriot Miss LL saying that.
- 29:22Speaker 1: He kind of has an Obama vibe. Yeah, remember Obama's
- 29:24Speaker 1: composite girlfriends where he just made up details about his life? Oh,
- 29:29Speaker 1: that was a composite. Put them all together. Put them
- 29:31Speaker 1: all together. What? Somebody, I know, you know, this week,
- 29:36Speaker 1: everybody was after Obama about this thing about aliens and on.
- 29:40Speaker 1: on Dan's show yesterday, he talked a little bit about this,
- 29:42Speaker 1: which I'm fascinated by. I'm really... I love when Dan
- 29:45Speaker 1: talks about his experience in the FBI and the kind
- 29:49Speaker 1: of secrets he had access to. And he was reflecting
- 29:52Speaker 1: on this, which is great. You should go watch Dan's
- 29:55Speaker 1: show from yesterday.
- 29:56Speaker 5: But.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Or listen to it. But Obama... He does this interview
- 30:00Speaker 1: where he's like, yeah, aliens are real, but couldn't locate
- 30:03Speaker 1: them anywhere in the government. We didn't have them anywhere.
- 30:05Speaker 1: And it was like, wait a second, hold on. And
- 30:07Speaker 1: the guy just moves on, right? That's the big story
- 30:09Speaker 1: this week, that the guy who's asking him the questions
- 30:12Speaker 1: just skips past this. Like, hold on, follow up. Aliens
- 30:16Speaker 1: are real? Can you put some more meat on that bone?
- 30:18Speaker 1: What do you mean aliens are real? And Obama finally
- 30:22Speaker 1: came out and gave some sort of walk back to it.
- 30:25Speaker 1: You know, no proof. We don't know anything about it.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Okay, whatever.
- 30:29Speaker 1: But I wonder, so Obama sits down for an interview
- 30:32Speaker 1: like that. Did this dude ask him at any point
- 30:37Speaker 1: about Obama's chef ending up dead behind his house? So like,
- 30:43Speaker 1: if you had a chef, let me ask you a question.
- 30:45Speaker 1: If you had a chef, Chad, and you were a
- 30:48Speaker 1: public figure, and your chef just ended up under mysterious circumstances,
- 30:53Speaker 1: dead in the water behind your house, Don't you think
- 30:57Speaker 1: that you would be asked about this for at least
- 31:00Speaker 1: every interview you did over the, say, the next five years?
- 31:04Speaker 1: That somebody would just ask you like, hey, whatever happened
- 31:06Speaker 1: to your chef? You ever get to the bottom of that?
- 31:08Speaker 1: Wasn't that crazy? Do you know anything about that? Did
- 31:11Speaker 1: this dude ask a single question or we just skip
- 31:13Speaker 1: past that? We just pretend like the chef didn't die
- 31:15Speaker 1: behind Obama's house. Nothing. Nothing. Yeah, no, it's amazing the
- 31:24Speaker 1: kinds of passes the left has given. And are aliens real? Yeah,
- 31:28Speaker 1: they're real. Okay, moving on to the next question. Now,
- 31:31Speaker 1: this is Journalism 101. Now you do a follow-up. Now
- 31:35Speaker 1: you take that super interesting thing, and then you expand
- 31:38Speaker 1: on it. And then in the midst of this conversation,
- 31:40Speaker 1: at some point, ask him about his dead chef. I
- 31:43Speaker 1: can teach you. I can teach you. All right, more
- 31:45Speaker 1: ahead on Vince. Good to have you here. All right,

- 34:38Speaker 1: just a ridiculous name, says, my sheets smell of rich
- 34:40Speaker 1: mahogany and leather-bound books. You may want to watch them. Okay,
- 34:47Speaker 1: let's get into some other things here. You guys want
- 34:50Speaker 1: to do the SAVE Act? Let's do the SAVE Act.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Let me give you an update on the SAVE Act.
- 34:55Speaker 1: We've got some meaningful updates here. Again, as you know,
- 34:59Speaker 1: we've reached the 50-vote threshold now in terms of support.
- 35:03Speaker 1: We await whether or not we're going to get enough
- 35:05Speaker 1: Republican senators to take this thing to the floor. We
- 35:08Speaker 1: just need a simple majority, but they've all got to
- 35:09Speaker 1: show up. Chip Roy is keeping the pressure on that.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Chip Roy is a member of the House, but he's
- 35:14Speaker 1: very familiar with the Senate rules. He's now advising United
- 35:18Speaker 1: States senators on what to do here. And he is,
- 35:22Speaker 1: in an interview with the Washington Free Beacons, great Breonna Lyman,
- 35:27Speaker 1: he's laying out how the Senate can vote on the
- 35:30Speaker 1: SAVE Act without, ladies and gentlemen, without, ladies and gentlemen,
- 35:34Speaker 1: without nuking the filibuster. Without nuking the filibuster. This is massive.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Then this is the thing that everyone, again, just they
- 35:47Speaker 1: keep missing it. So Roy in the Federalist piece here
- 35:51Speaker 1: preempts talking points from sub Republicans. And he's laying out
- 35:54Speaker 1: how John Thune could successfully bring the SAVE Act to
- 35:57Speaker 1: a vote without nuking the filibuster. Roy explains the following.
- 36:01Speaker 1: This is something this audience would be familiar with, but
- 36:03Speaker 1: I want to reiterate here. Roy explains that as long
- 36:06Speaker 1: as all Senate Republicans who have either co-sponsored or publicly
- 36:09Speaker 1: supported the legislation show up and present a live quorum,
- 36:14Speaker 1: it would force Democrats to talk nonstop to delay a
- 36:19Speaker 1: vote at just 51 votes rather than the 60 threshold filibuster.
- 36:27Speaker 1: The commonly accepted 60-vote filibuster threshold to shut off debate
- 36:32Speaker 1: is not the only way to force a vote in
- 36:35Speaker 1: the Senate. The majority can force opposing senators to speak,
- 36:39Speaker 1: said Roy. Under current Senate rules, if there is a quorum,
- 36:45Speaker 1: the Senate must either be voting or a member must
- 36:49Speaker 1: be speaking. In other words, if no one is speaking
- 36:53Speaker 1: and a quorum is present, The vote on the pending
- 36:57Speaker 1: business happens automatically. The quorum in this case, that's 51 votes.
- 37:03Speaker 1: So get the 51 senators to the floor. 50 plus
- 37:06Speaker 1: JD Vance. 50 plus JD. Get them to the floor.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Begin the process of passing the Save America Act. Democrats
- 37:15Speaker 1: will interrupt it by starting debate. Fine. Let them. They
- 37:20Speaker 1: will begin to run their mouths. At the conclusion of
- 37:23Speaker 1: their mouths running, you then pass the legislation. You got
- 37:27Speaker 1: to keep everyone close to the Senate floor. This takes work.
- 37:30Speaker 1: This takes herding sheep. You know, you got to get
- 37:33Speaker 1: everybody there. But if you can do those things, you
- 37:36Speaker 1: can get this passed with a simple majority. No rule changes,
- 37:39Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. No rule changes. Roy said Thune can
- 37:44Speaker 1: proceed to the Save America Act with a simple majority
- 37:46Speaker 1: vote as soon as he chooses. Under current practice, he
- 37:49Speaker 1: would call it up, debate it for a while, proceed
- 37:51Speaker 1: to a 60-vote cloture vote to shut off debate. It
- 37:54Speaker 1: would fail. Republicans would shrug and would say, we tried.
- 37:58Speaker 1: We need to elect more Republicans. This is what we
- 38:00Speaker 1: call a fake or zombie filibuster, said Roy. There's no
- 38:04Speaker 1: real speaking, just a failure to get 60 votes to
- 38:06Speaker 1: shut off debate and then default to a quorum call,
- 38:09Speaker 1: no business, rather than having 51 senators show up to
- 38:13Speaker 1: call the question at a simple majority. But Roy points
- 38:16Speaker 1: out the existing Senate rules allow a present majority, 51 senators,
- 38:22Speaker 1: to seek a vote on the SAVE Act. If Republicans
- 38:26Speaker 1: stick together and the minority exhaust their opportunities to speak,
- 38:31Speaker 1: a final vote on passage of the bill occurs automatically.
- 38:35Speaker 1: That's it. Republicans would need to stay disciplined. They'd have
- 38:39Speaker 1: to table every amendment that Democrats try and present. They
- 38:42Speaker 1: would try to present amendments to try and upend this thing.
- 38:45Speaker 1: And they would have to enforce the two-speech rule in
- 38:49Speaker 1: order to force an actual vote. The two-speech rule is
- 38:52Speaker 1: every senator during a filibuster can only speak twice, two
- 38:56Speaker 1: separate sessions. So Cory Booker would only have two swings
- 39:00Speaker 1: of the bat. And then he's done. We can move
- 39:03Speaker 1: the legislation under current rules without nuking the filibuster, said Roy. Okay,
- 39:09Speaker 1: so this is, please continue to get the word out.
- 39:13Speaker 1: You know, one of my favorite things about this audience
- 39:14Speaker 1: is I see you everywhere, all over social media, constantly
- 39:20Speaker 1: telling people, nope, you can do it. No, you can
- 39:22Speaker 1: do it now. No, you can do it, simple majority. Nope,
- 39:23Speaker 1: you don't have to nuke the filibuster. I thank you, please, please,
- 39:28Speaker 1: please keep the information campaign going, because there's two categories
- 39:32Speaker 1: of frustrating Republican senators. There's good Republican senators. Mike Lee
- 39:35Speaker 1: is pushing for all of this. But there's two categories
- 39:37Speaker 1: of very frustrating Republican senators. They're the senators who are
- 39:41Speaker 1: ignorant of the Senate rules. They just have no idea.
- 39:43Speaker 1: I've never done that. I didn't know that was something
- 39:45Speaker 1: we could do.
- 39:46Speaker 5: It is.
- 39:46Speaker 1: So let's educate you. And then There's the other one,
- 39:49Speaker 1: which is they know they can do it, and they
- 39:52Speaker 1: don't want you to know, because that would require work. Well,
- 39:58Speaker 1: too bad. Too late, sweetheart. We know exactly how the
- 40:00Speaker 1: Senate rules work, and we're going to keep reminding everyone
- 40:03Speaker 1: about how they work. 51 votes. Now, what about John Thune?
- 40:07Speaker 1: John Thune. I see people mentioning John Thune in the chat.
- 40:09Speaker 1: They're concerned about John Thune. John Thune, I think, is
- 40:15Speaker 1: playing some games here. I hate to tell you. And
- 40:19Speaker 1: here's why I say that. Let me take you through
- 40:20Speaker 1: what we see from Fox. This was published last night
- 40:24Speaker 1: on Fox News' website, Fox News Digital. Thune guarantees voter
- 40:30Speaker 1: ID bill to hit the Senate despite Schumer and Democrat opposition.
- 40:35Speaker 1: We will have a vote. Well, that's an encouraging headline.
- 40:38Speaker 1: I love that. Look, John Thune telling us we will
- 40:41Speaker 1: have a vote. So let me actually look at what
- 40:44Speaker 1: the piece says. John Thune is ready to put Senate
- 40:47Speaker 1: Democrats to the test on voter ID legislation, Save America Act.
- 40:51Speaker 1: We will have a vote, Thune told Fox News Digital. Okay,
- 40:55Speaker 1: that's all good. Let's see. He views the opportunity of
- 41:00Speaker 1: a floor vote as a way to have Senate Minority
- 41:02Speaker 1: Leader Chuck Schumer and his caucus explain to voters why
- 41:05Speaker 1: they would block a legislative push to federally enshrine voter
- 41:09Speaker 1: ID and proof of citizenship to register to vote. That's
- 41:11Speaker 1: also good. See, ladies and gentlemen, this sounds good, what
- 41:14Speaker 1: Thune is saying. But I'm going to get to the
- 41:16Speaker 1: part of this article where I go, wait a second.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I think he might be playing some games here. He says, quote,
- 41:22Speaker 1: we will make sure that everybody's on the record. And
- 41:25Speaker 1: if they want to be against ensuring that only American
- 41:27Speaker 1: citizens vote in our elections, they can defend that. Here
- 41:31Speaker 1: we go.
- 41:32Speaker 5: Ready?
- 41:33Speaker 1: Here's where things get interesting. They can defend that when
- 41:36Speaker 1: they have to go out and campaign against Republicans this fall.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Hold on. We're not asking you to put them in
- 41:45Speaker 1: a position where they go out and defend it on
- 41:47Speaker 1: the campaign trail. We're asking you to put them in
- 41:49Speaker 1: a position where they try and defend their insane position
- 41:53Speaker 1: on the Senate floor in the form of a filibuster.
- 41:59Speaker 1: My spidey senses are tingling here. Something is amiss with
- 42:04Speaker 1: the way John Thune is talking about this. They can
- 42:06Speaker 1: defend it when they go out on the campaign trail.
- 42:09Speaker 1: We will make sure everybody's on the record Why do
- 42:13Speaker 1: I get the feeling that John Thune is talking about
- 42:15Speaker 1: a procedural vote and not an actual vote on the
- 42:18Speaker 1: SAVE Act? Some sort of vote to prove that Democrats
- 42:23Speaker 1: are opposed to it. We know Democrats are opposed to it.
- 42:26Speaker 1: They're all screeching about it now. Don't play games with us,
- 42:31Speaker 1: John Thune. When you say you're going to have a vote,
- 42:36Speaker 1: mean it. They talk about some of the options here
- 42:42Speaker 1: in the Fox piece. Thune has already thrown cold water
- 42:46Speaker 1: on one option, which is nuking the Senate filibuster. That
- 42:49Speaker 1: would be the, I wish they'd be more specific, the
- 42:51Speaker 1: silent filibuster, the one where nobody talks and then legislation
- 42:55Speaker 1: just dies. The other is turning to the talking or
- 42:59Speaker 1: standing filibuster. This is the, this is, well, this is
- 43:02Speaker 1: the actual historic filibuster. I love how they're pretending like
- 43:05Speaker 1: this is like the weird exception. This is like, oh,
- 43:09Speaker 1: this is a really novel thing. No, the filibuster is
- 43:11Speaker 1: when you open your mouth and you make a case
- 43:13Speaker 1: before the American people on the Senate floor. It's the
- 43:16Speaker 1: physical precursor to the current filibuster that requires hours upon
- 43:20Speaker 1: hours of debate over a bill, says Fox. Some fear
- 43:24Speaker 1: that path could paralyze the Senate floor. Thune acknowledged that concern,
- 43:28Speaker 1: having previously made it himself, but noted another wrinkle. A
- 43:32Speaker 1: lot of people focus on unlimited debate. Yes, it's something
- 43:34Speaker 1: that could drag on for weeks or literally for months,
- 43:37Speaker 1: said John Thune. Ladies and gentlemen, I just told you
- 43:41Speaker 1: it would take two rounds of speeches each and then
- 43:44Speaker 1: we're done. Would it stretch on for a lot of time?
- 43:47Speaker 3: Yes.
- 43:47Speaker 1: For months?
- 43:48Speaker 3: No.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Thune is trying to deter people from going to this option.
- 43:54Speaker 1: He goes, but it's also unlimited amendments, meaning that every amendment,
- 43:58Speaker 1: there's no rules. So every amendment will be 51 votes.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:03Speaker 1: So that's why you got to stay on the floor
- 44:04Speaker 1: and you got to fight for this priority. He argues
- 44:08Speaker 1: that there are several politically challenging amendments. It could hit
- 44:10Speaker 1: the floor. It would put members in tough reelections in
- 44:13Speaker 1: a hard spot. This could be challenging. John Thune is whining.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Thune didn't shut down the idea of turning to the
- 44:20Speaker 1: talking filibuster, especially if it ended in lawmakers being able
- 44:23Speaker 1: to pass the SAVE Act. But in the Senate, outcomes
- 44:27Speaker 1: are rarely guaranteed on politically divisive legislations. This is how
- 44:30Speaker 1: the piece ends. Quote, I think that you know, this
- 44:32Speaker 1: is obviously a mechanism of trying to pursue an outcome,
- 44:36Speaker 1: but I don't know that in the end, it'll get
- 44:39Speaker 1: the outcome you want. And there could be a lot
- 44:41Speaker 1: of ancillary damage along the way. I'm telling you right now,
- 44:47Speaker 1: what I'm detecting in John Thune's statements here is an
- 44:51Speaker 1: effort to try and get you to settle down. This
- 44:55Speaker 1: is a pat on the head from John Thune.
- 44:57Speaker 3: Oh, sure, sure.
- 44:58Speaker 1: I know you want the talking filibuster.
- 44:59Speaker 3: That's fine.
- 45:00Speaker 1: That's wonderful. Don't you worry. We'll have a vote.
- 45:02Speaker 3: I promise.
- 45:02Speaker 1: We'll have a vote. And then everybody will prove what
- 45:05Speaker 1: side they're on. And then Democrats have to go on
- 45:06Speaker 1: the campaign trail and they have to explain to everybody
- 45:08Speaker 1: why they don't support voter ID. Stop it. Stop lying
- 45:12Speaker 1: to me. Stop lying to me. Stop dressing up some
- 45:18Speaker 1: abdication of your responsibility as something that's good for me. No,
- 45:23Speaker 1: this should not be some random procedural vote. No, it
- 45:26Speaker 1: should not be a ceremonial little test vote or some
- 45:29Speaker 1: way to prove through the legislative record that, see, those
- 45:32Speaker 1: guys are opposed to this. I'm not asking for that.
- 45:35Speaker 1: I'm asking for you to go the freaking distance for once.
- 45:38Speaker 1: I'm asking you to use the current rules of the
- 45:40Speaker 1: Senate to get every Republican to the Senate floor to
- 45:43Speaker 1: vote on this thing and to enshrine it in the
- 45:46Speaker 1: law to protect our elections. That's what I'm asking. Anything
- 45:52Speaker 1: less is an abdication of your responsibility. And I see
- 45:57Speaker 1: guys like Scott Pressler out there who's been heroic on this.
- 46:00Speaker 1: And he's saying the same thing I'm saying. Enough is enough.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Stop playing games. The very future of the Republican Party's
- 46:09Speaker 1: ability to win in any election, nevertheless, these midterms is
- 46:13Speaker 1: on the line. If you sincerely care about the electoral
- 46:18Speaker 1: consequences of actions that happen on the Senate floor, then
- 46:21Speaker 1: you should be passing the freaking SAVE Act, John Thune.
- 46:26Speaker 1: If you care about the electoral consequences for your party,
- 46:30Speaker 1: pass the SAVE Act. Or else get the hell out
- 46:33Speaker 1: of leadership. What kind of leader leads their party off
- 46:37Speaker 1: a cliff? We will have a vote. Don't try and
- 46:43Speaker 1: spin us anymore. We are way too attuned to the
- 46:46Speaker 1: game that's being played. This is unfortunate. I hate that
- 46:55Speaker 1: that's the case. And he knows, look, Thune's feeling the pressure.
- 47:01Speaker 1: There's a reason he's trying to spin out of this thing.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Oh, don't worry.
- 47:04Speaker 1: We'll have a vote. We'll have a vote. Yeah. Have
- 47:07Speaker 1: a real one. Have a real one. Fight for something
- 47:10Speaker 1: for once. That's what we're asking for. Meanwhile, what's the
- 47:18Speaker 1: left up to? They're rigging elections. The left is actively
- 47:22Speaker 1: rigging elections as we speak. We get a report, also
- 47:27Speaker 1: from Fox, but summarized by Jonathan Turley this week, that
- 47:32Speaker 1: the dial-up Democrat, the man whose brain does not run
- 47:37Speaker 1: very quickly at all, he runs with a dial-up tone,
- 47:39Speaker 1: Hakeem Jeffries is reportedly pressuring the Maryland Senate president right
- 47:44Speaker 1: now to eliminate the final district held by a Republican
- 47:49Speaker 1: in the state. Maryland Democrats would have 51% of the voters,
- 47:55Speaker 1: and then they would take 100% of the House seats
- 47:59Speaker 1: under this scheme. Maryland has one Republican right now. One Republican,
- 48:07Speaker 1: Congressman Andy Barr. And the other seven lawmakers are Democrats.
- 48:15Speaker 1: because Maryland has a deeply gerrymandered map. And so what
- 48:23Speaker 1: are Democrats pushing for? They want to eliminate the last
- 48:25Speaker 1: Republican in the state. Now, you saw what Jonathan Turley
- 48:30Speaker 1: just said. 51% of Marylanders are Democrats. The other 49%
- 48:36Speaker 1: are Republicans. How is it that Democrats control almost every seat? Gerrymandering, rigging,
- 48:41Speaker 1: election rigging. And there's a push right now by Wes
- 48:45Speaker 1: Moore and Hakeem Jeffries to rig the whole state so
- 48:49Speaker 1: that no more Republicans can win. That's the fight that
- 48:53Speaker 1: we're actually engaged in right now. Now, let me offer
- 48:56Speaker 1: you a glimmer of hope in the midst of all
- 48:58Speaker 1: of this. This redistricting fight in Maryland could blow up
- 49:03Speaker 1: in the Democrats' faces. And here's why I say that.
- 49:08Speaker 1: Earlier this year, the Maryland Senate president, a Democrat by
- 49:12Speaker 1: the name of Bill Ferguson, was warning his own party,
- 49:16Speaker 1: this is a very bad idea. If we do this,
- 49:20Speaker 1: it could result in disaster for Democrats. Maryland Senate president,
- 49:27Speaker 1: Bill Ferguson, let me show this to you. Bill Ferguson,
- 49:32Speaker 1: here it is, in the Hill in February, who was
- 49:36Speaker 1: a member of the advisory commission that ultimately recommended the
- 49:40Speaker 1: new map, warned in a letter to colleagues last fall,
- 49:43Speaker 1: published by Politico, that the risk of redistricting was too high,
- 49:47Speaker 1: making the unlikely possibility that we gain a seat not
- 49:50Speaker 1: worth pursuing. Ferguson acknowledged the dangers of Trump-backed gerrymandering. Donald Trump,
- 49:57Speaker 1: it's not stupid. The reason President Trump is encouraging Republican
- 50:00Speaker 1: states to fight back is because Democrats have gerrymandered the
- 50:03Speaker 1: country to get a bunch of seats that they don't deserve,
- 50:06Speaker 1: that don't represent the voters at all. So Republicans are
- 50:09Speaker 1: being called upon by the president to actually fight back
- 50:11Speaker 1: for once. So they're making Trump into the bad guy,
- 50:15Speaker 1: of course. Here's what they say. Ferguson said that after
- 50:21Speaker 1: the Maryland Supreme Court had struck down Maryland's map in 2021,
- 50:25Speaker 1: any redrawing of the current map could open up a
- 50:28Speaker 1: legal challenge to the map. And if it goes to
- 50:32Speaker 1: the courts, if it ultimately goes to the Supreme Court
- 50:34Speaker 1: of Maryland, here's the problem that Democrats are going to
- 50:36Speaker 1: run into. Of the seven members of the Maryland Supreme Court,
- 50:40Speaker 1: five of them were appointed by former Republican Governor Larry Hogan.
- 50:46Speaker 1: So in other words, these are justices that were appointed
- 50:48Speaker 1: by a Republican who would now have a say in
- 50:52Speaker 1: how the maps are drawn if the courts rule that
- 50:56Speaker 1: the maps are unconstitutional. In Maryland, we've already seen this happen.
- 51:00Speaker 1: I want to take you back in time. Everybody forgets history.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Back in 2022, a Maryland court, a state court ruled
- 51:08Speaker 1: that the last time Democrats attempted to seize all eight
- 51:10Speaker 1: seats at once, it was unconstitutional. And so the reason
- 51:16Speaker 1: only one Republican continues to hold a seat in Maryland
- 51:18Speaker 1: is because Governor Larry Hogan kind of gave up the fight.
- 51:21Speaker 1: He settled with Democrats and they agreed to just draw
- 51:24Speaker 1: maps that were 7-1 again. But if he hadn't given
- 51:29Speaker 1: up the fight, if he sustained the fight, it could
- 51:31Speaker 1: have made his way to the Supreme Court of Maryland
- 51:33Speaker 1: and Republicans could have ended up with more seats because
- 51:37Speaker 1: the state court has ruled that in order for the
- 51:41Speaker 1: boundaries to be drawn, the reason that they're unconstitutional is
- 51:44Speaker 1: because they're not cohesive communities. They're not cohesive groups of
- 51:48Speaker 1: people that make any sort of logical sense. And if
- 51:50Speaker 1: Maryland was drawn into cohesive communities as individual districts, Republicans
- 51:55Speaker 1: would hold three or four seats in Maryland. So let
- 52:01Speaker 1: me just give this silver lining to all of this
- 52:04Speaker 1: in Maryland specifically. I've talked to Maryland Republicans about this,
- 52:07Speaker 1: by the way, and they're a little excited about this
- 52:10Speaker 1: because their view is, okay, go ahead, Democrats, try and
- 52:14Speaker 1: steal another seat in Maryland, because if you do, this
- 52:17Speaker 1: could end up in the courts and Republicans could end
- 52:20Speaker 1: up with more congressional representation. So go ahead. try this fight.
- 52:25Speaker 1: It could dramatically blow up in your face. And the
- 52:27Speaker 1: head of the Senate in Maryland has been warning his
- 52:30Speaker 1: own party that disaster lies ahead. And yet they're pursuing
- 52:33Speaker 1: it anyway, because they don't think about consequences. All they
- 52:37Speaker 1: think about is how can we get more power? So
- 52:39Speaker 1: kind of fascinating to watch as this goes on. But
- 52:45Speaker 1: that's an interesting story. And then finally today, I want to,
- 52:48Speaker 1: I think finally, we'll see. There's always a time limitation here.
- 52:52Speaker 1: I want to Talk to you about another horrible shooting
- 52:55Speaker 1: that took place yesterday as a transgender dude opened fire,
- 53:02Speaker 1: killing his own family. Killed two people, critically injured three
- 53:07Speaker 1: others at a high school hockey game in Rhode Island
- 53:11Speaker 1: yesterday afternoon. The New York Post has some of the
- 53:14Speaker 1: details here. He's a transgender father. Transgender father. Robert Dorgan.
- 53:23Speaker 1: He's the Rhode Island hockey shooter. He gunned down his family.
- 53:26Speaker 1: And for those of you watching rumble.com slash Vince, you
- 53:28Speaker 1: can see just video of everyone ducking at the ice rink.
- 53:34Speaker 1: The players fleeing off the ice as the gunshots are
- 53:36Speaker 1: being fired. People running out of the ice rink. This
- 53:39Speaker 1: is just awful. They say the crazed gunman who killed
- 53:43Speaker 1: two people and critically injured three others at a high
- 53:45Speaker 1: school hockey game in Rhode Island on Monday afternoon has
- 53:48Speaker 1: been identified as a transgender dad who railed against anti-trans
- 53:53Speaker 1: hate in family legal disputes and deranged social media rants.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Robert Dorgan is 56 years old, shot four family members
- 54:02Speaker 1: and a family friend, and then turned the gun on
- 54:04Speaker 1: himself following the deadly rampage at the Pawtucket Ice Rink.
- 54:08Speaker 1: He used the female alias Roberta Esposito, according to the
- 54:14Speaker 1: Pawtucket police chief. Quote, we've identified the person, the suspect,
- 54:20Speaker 1: by a birth name. The birth name was Robert Dorgan.
- 54:23Speaker 1: We've also learned that the person does go by the
- 54:25Speaker 1: name of Roberta, also uses a last name of Esposito.
- 54:30Speaker 1: There's pictures of him with nail polish and things on.
- 54:34Speaker 1: There's pictures of him dressed in girls' clothing at a
- 54:37Speaker 1: previous hockey game. The guy, he looks like something out
- 54:41Speaker 1: of South Park. It's ridiculous. So his transgender identity appeared
- 54:48Speaker 1: to be a source of multiple family court battles in
- 54:50Speaker 1: the years before the shooting, which cops said was the
- 54:53Speaker 1: result of a domestic dispute. So he's a deeply mentally
- 54:57Speaker 1: ill human being. Deeply mentally ill. In fact, he went
- 55:01Speaker 1: nuts after an ex-exchange yesterday with the former Hercules actor,
- 55:06Speaker 1: Kevin Sorbo. Yeah, you heard me correctly. He was getting
- 55:09Speaker 1: into it with Kevin Sorbo a day ago. He was
- 55:14Speaker 1: tweeting because Kevin Sorbo, there's another picture of this guy.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Holy crap. That's the dutiest dude you've ever seen dressed
- 55:22Speaker 1: as a chick. And Kevin Sorbo had posted something about
- 55:28Speaker 1: Democrat Congressman Tim McBride, who goes by Sarah, pretends to
- 55:33Speaker 1: be a woman in Congress. And Kevin Sorbo had said,
- 55:37Speaker 1: you know, this is a man. He posted an image
- 55:40Speaker 1: of the guy saying this is a man. And Dorgan
- 55:43Speaker 1: responded to Kevin Sorbo saying, keep bashing us, but do
- 55:47Speaker 1: not wonder why we go berserk. And then he went berserk.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Dorgan's daughter spoke to the media yesterday right after speaking
- 55:59Speaker 1: to the cops. She left the police station and she
- 56:04Speaker 1: spoke to the media. Here's what she had to say
- 56:06Speaker 1: as she walked out. Watch. He has mental health issues.
- 56:27Speaker 1: She went on to say he was very, very sick.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Certainly seems like it. There are a million red flags
- 56:33Speaker 1: in that guy's life before he opened fire on his family.
- 56:36Speaker 1: And again, I say to you, where's the national conversation
- 56:39Speaker 1: on mental health, on transgender violence? How often? I had
- 56:45Speaker 1: people texting me last night about this going, I got
- 56:48Speaker 1: to say that the second I saw that this went down,
- 56:51Speaker 1: I thought that guy's probably transgender. Whoever did this was transgender.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Sure enough. Why does that keep happening? Are we going
- 56:57Speaker 1: to be serious about this? Are we going to tackle
- 56:58Speaker 1: this mental health crisis? Or are we just going to
- 57:01Speaker 1: continue to affirm it as more people destroy themselves than others?
- 57:05Speaker 1: You know, the left wants to continue to bury it.
- 57:09Speaker 1: The New York Times has attempted to bury the lead overnight.
- 57:12Speaker 1: I saw Dagan McDowell post this to X. She captured
- 57:15Speaker 1: the headline in the subhead off the New York Times.
- 57:18Speaker 1: Two killed in shooting at high school hockey game in
- 57:20Speaker 1: Rhode Island. Two killed. By the way, that's a passive
- 57:23Speaker 1: voice construction for those of you who know the English
- 57:26Speaker 1: language well. That's passive voice. Two killed. Who killed them?
- 57:30Speaker 1: You start with transgender guy kills two at high school
- 57:35Speaker 1: hockey game. Subject, object, in that order. Let's see. And

- 57:46Speaker 1: Chief Goncalves said the shooter was born in 1969 and
- 57:52Speaker 1: went by two different names. They're downplaying the trans violence.
- 57:58Speaker 1: They're trying to cover it up. That's the paper of record.
- 58:01Speaker 1: That's the New York Times. That's the old gray lady.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Or should I say the old gray trans man? It's outrageous.
