- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey besties, welcome back. Welcome to the end of 2024. What?
- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome to March of 2024.
- 0:07Speaker 2: 2024 has been off to a bang for a lot
- 0:09Speaker 2: of people, but for some other people like me, maybe
- 0:12Speaker 2: it hasn't totally been.
- 0:13Speaker 1: The best year ever. And you know what? That's okay,
- 0:16Speaker 1: because we're making it and we have each other.
- 0:18Speaker 2: I decided to jump on the interwebs and ask some
- 0:21Speaker 2: celebrities for advice. See, I first started on Cameo, and
- 0:24Speaker 2: I found some celebrities on there to ask advice, some
- 0:26Speaker 2: that I knew a lot, literally declined my request, so
- 0:29Speaker 2: maybe they're having the same kind of year. And then
- 0:31Speaker 2: some friends, I said, hey, give me advice, please. And
- 0:34Speaker 2: they did.
- 0:35Speaker 1: So... Nice.
- 0:36Speaker 2: So, maybe their advice will help me, maybe it'll help you,
- 0:39Speaker 2: but hey, don't be an ask-hole. Do you know what
- 0:41Speaker 2: an ask-hole is? Someone who asks for advice... and then
- 0:44Speaker 2: just doesn't take it at all. I'm not one of those.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Don't be one of those. So first I went to
- 0:49Speaker 2: Cameo and I tried a lot of people. First I
- 0:52Speaker 2: had tried Van Margera. That just like fully was expired.
- 0:56Speaker 2: He didn't even acknowledge. Next up was Freddie Prinze Jr.,
- 1:00Speaker 2: which I thought was iconic and that was declined. But
- 1:06Speaker 2: then I found my favorite person ever. And I am
- 1:08Speaker 2: so excited for this and to watch it with you guys.
- 1:10Speaker 2: And I might cry and I might fall over.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Steve Wilkos. Oh my God.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:13Speaker 4: It's happening.
- 1:13Speaker 1: He is a man and he's the man that cares.
- 1:16Speaker 2: So I asked him, what is the best piece of
- 1:18Speaker 2: advice that you've been given that you could give me?
- 1:21Speaker 1: And what is your favorite book? I love books. Reading
- 1:24Speaker 1: books helps with depression. So let's see what Steve had
- 1:27Speaker 1: to say. Oh my God. I'm going to poo my pants.
- 1:29Speaker 5: Hey Selena.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Steve Wilkos.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Is that my name?
- 1:32Speaker 5: And I just want to say thank you for being
- 1:35Speaker 5: a huge fan of mine. I really appreciate that. I
- 1:37Speaker 5: just want to give you a little idea where I'm at.
- 1:39Speaker 5: I'm in Arizona. I'm in Sedona. So you get a
- 1:46Speaker 5: cameo with the little.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Okay, pause.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I feel like I'm getting special treatment right now. We're
- 1:50Speaker 2: in Arizona.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I feel like Steve Wilkos is going to give the
- 1:54Speaker 1: best advice ever.
- 1:56Speaker 5: You're asking what's the best piece of advice? that, uh,
- 2:00Speaker 5: I've been told and really the best piece of advice. I'm, I'm,
- 2:03Speaker 5: I'm guessing that you're a younger person. Um, so I
- 2:08Speaker 5: would say that the best advice is always to be
- 2:12Speaker 5: up at doing things and never turning things down. So
- 2:15Speaker 5: like people like to tell me all the time, Oh,
- 2:18Speaker 5: you're lucky you went from being a policeman to getting
- 2:21Speaker 5: your own TV show. Well, it wasn't just luck that
- 2:23Speaker 5: did it. Luck didn't find me laying on my couch, uh,
- 2:29Speaker 5: watching TV, laying around, doing nothing all the time. When
- 2:32Speaker 5: I was a policeman, I took all kinds of side jobs.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I hustled, I hustled, I hustled.
- 2:35Speaker 5: One of my buddies knew that I took all kinds
- 2:37Speaker 5: of side jobs, asked me to work on the Jerry
- 2:39Speaker 5: Springer show. I said, of course, yeah, I'll be there.
- 2:43Speaker 5: That led to me being there and them asking me, hey,
- 2:47Speaker 5: can you do this, do that? And I did everything
- 2:50Speaker 5: they asked me to. So that eventually led me to
- 2:54Speaker 5: getting my own talk show and having a lot of
- 2:57Speaker 5: success in my life. So that's the advice that I
- 3:00Speaker 5: would give. Always don't turn things down. Make a lot
- 3:05Speaker 5: of connections, and that'll open doors for your future. As
- 3:10Speaker 5: one of my favorite books, one is Manhunter, which is
- 3:13Speaker 5: the story of hunting down John Wilkes Booth, who killed
- 3:17Speaker 5: Abraham Lincoln. And I also love Grapes of Wrath. John
- 3:21Speaker 5: Steinbeck's one of my favorite authors. So I don't know
- 3:24Speaker 5: if you read those books, but if you didn't, you know,
- 3:26Speaker 5: Grapes of Wrath, everybody reads in high school. But it
- 3:29Speaker 5: doesn't mean anything to you when you're at home and
- 3:31Speaker 5: your parents are paying all the bills and you've never struggled.
- 3:33Speaker 5: So that's a great book to read as you get older.
- 3:36Speaker 1: That was really, really nice. Am I crying?
- 3:39Speaker 6: I am.
- 3:39Speaker 1: It's okay. It took me back to kind of the
- 3:41Speaker 1: beginning of my career.
- 3:42Speaker 2: So back in the beginning of all of this, 2016,
- 3:45Speaker 2: I had a podcast, The Haunted Estate, which kind of
- 3:48Speaker 2: went on hiatus last year, which kind of goes along
- 3:50Speaker 2: with this.
- 3:51Speaker 7: But, um.
- 3:52Speaker 2: In the beginning of my career, I was so hungry
- 3:54Speaker 2: for it. And I was proving everybody wrong because there
- 3:57Speaker 2: was a million people in my background. Adam was kind
- 4:00Speaker 2: of the one of the only ones who was like, yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 2: keep going.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Show them.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Show them what you can do. Because a lot of
- 4:05Speaker 2: people are like, you're playing. You're wasting time. Get a
- 4:07Speaker 2: real job.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Do this.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I was looking for experiences. I was looking for interviews.
- 4:12Speaker 2: I was looking for, you know, premieres. I wanted to
- 4:15Speaker 2: go everywhere. Someone was like, do you want to do this?
- 4:17Speaker 2: I was like, yes, let's go.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Let's go. Let's go. Let's do it. Let's do it.
- 4:20Speaker 2: And then once, you know, sleepwalking hit and the dad
- 4:23Speaker 2: jokes hit, everything just flew up. And it was the
- 4:26Speaker 2: first time in my life when I was turning down
- 4:27Speaker 2: opportunities because so much was going on and I was
- 4:31Speaker 2: getting overwhelmed and I was, I was getting nervous and
- 4:33Speaker 2: people started commenting on things that I was saying. And
- 4:37Speaker 2: then it takes us kind of to now where it's
- 4:40Speaker 2: the opposite effect of where there's just a lot going
- 4:42Speaker 2: on in my life. And I'm, I want so badly
- 4:45Speaker 2: to take on These different experiences, maybe opportunities that I
- 4:49Speaker 2: would have gotten a year ago that maybe I wouldn't
- 4:51Speaker 2: get now. And my life is just in this place
- 4:53Speaker 2: where I'm not able to be as hungry for it
- 4:56Speaker 2: as I want to.
- 4:57Speaker 1: And that's probably the hardest part.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Of my job right now is I'm getting an email
- 5:02Speaker 2: to show up at a premiere in LA in four days.
- 5:05Speaker 2: But my dog is chemo and I can't go and
- 5:06Speaker 2: I choose her over anything. But I feel like that
- 5:09Speaker 2: is such an important piece of advice. I've lost so
- 5:12Speaker 2: many people that I went to school with. And I
- 5:14Speaker 2: live in a small town that's kind of a Bermuda
- 5:18Speaker 2: Triangle in a way where a lot of people were
- 5:19Speaker 2: failure to launch. So many people got out and I
- 5:22Speaker 2: don't even know where they are now and that's amazing.
- 5:24Speaker 2: But I've seen what he says so many times where
- 5:27Speaker 2: when people say you're so lucky this happened and stuff.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I literally worked 28 hours a day for three.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Years to get where I am. I just wish everybody
- 5:39Speaker 1: had the same hunger.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah. Next up we have Melissa Joan Hart. So if
- 5:44Speaker 2: you guys didn't know this, last year I was in
- 5:47Speaker 2: a movie for approximately one entire minute, maybe two, two
- 5:51Speaker 2: and a half minutes.
- 5:52Speaker 1: It was called Would You Kill For Me? The Mary
- 5:54Speaker 1: Bailey Story. It's on Amazon Prime.
- 5:56Speaker 2: And it was incredible. I remember sitting in the audition.
- 5:58Speaker 2: They had reached out to me. They wanted me for
- 6:00Speaker 2: the role.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I did the audition. They said, we love you. And
- 6:02Speaker 1: I said, who's in the movie?
- 6:04Speaker 2: And the first names they said blew me off my
- 6:06Speaker 2: rocker there. First was Melissa Joan Hart, Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
- 6:09Speaker 8: I've got to get better at this magic.
- 6:10Speaker 2: And then Olivia Scriven from Degrassi, which is my favorite.
- 6:14Speaker 2: If you're Canadian, you know, it's kind of like Canada's
- 6:17Speaker 2: version of Euphoria.
- 6:18Speaker 1: But I put in a cameo request to Melissa. I
- 6:20Speaker 1: didn't know if she was going to send one back.
- 6:22Speaker 2: She's a super busy lady, but we got one. So
- 6:24Speaker 2: let's see what Melissa has to say. I see her face.
- 6:27Speaker 1: This is incredible.
- 6:28Speaker 8: Hi, Selena. Melissa here from the movie that we did together.
- 6:33Speaker 1: The first thing.
- 6:33Speaker 8: You need to do is find an agent or manager.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Find somebody locally, hopefully.
- 6:40Speaker 8: If you're young, maybe join the drama club at your
- 6:42Speaker 8: school or musical theater or in any town you can
- 6:46Speaker 8: find a theater club. I think starting in theater is
- 6:49Speaker 8: a great way to start acting. Just figure out some chops,
- 6:52Speaker 8: figure out if you like it, that kind of thing.
- 6:54Speaker 8: So joining a local theater group would be awesome. Finding
- 6:56Speaker 8: an agent manager is really key because then they'll be
- 6:59Speaker 8: able to guide you and tell you kind of how
- 7:01Speaker 8: to break in. Usually you would do like a photograph
- 7:03Speaker 8: session where you'd get headshots and then they would start
- 7:06Speaker 8: sending out your photo and resume to different gigs to
- 7:10Speaker 8: see if to get you auditions. But the one thing
- 7:12Speaker 8: I can tell you, the biggest advice is never pay
- 7:15Speaker 8: anyone until you get paid. So you should never pay
- 7:18Speaker 8: anyone a fee up front, except for maybe if.
- 7:20Speaker 1: You're doing headshots. That's different.
- 7:21Speaker 8: You should pay a photographer to do your headshots. But
- 7:24Speaker 8: you do not pay an agent or manager until you
- 7:25Speaker 8: get paid. And after that, it's 10% to 15%. So
- 7:30Speaker 8: once you get paid, they get their percentage. So they
- 7:32Speaker 8: have to work for you to get the job.
- 7:34Speaker 1: That's how it works. So I hope that helps.
- 7:36Speaker 8: And I tell everyone to break a leg.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Mwah! So that was amazing.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I feel like Melissa is such a wealth of information
- 7:42Speaker 2: because she's been doing this since she was like a kid,
- 7:45Speaker 2: which is crazy. And I just love everything. I remember
- 7:48Speaker 2: when I first got there, some BTS here. They took
- 7:52Speaker 2: me to where everybody was having dinner. So we were
- 7:53Speaker 2: up in Ottawa and I got there. I was on set.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I wanted to meet everybody. And they said, we're going
- 7:59Speaker 2: to eat. We're going to eat food. So I knew
- 8:01Speaker 2: a role was coming up. I hadn't been to hair
- 8:02Speaker 2: and makeup. They're like, let's go to dinner. It was
- 8:05Speaker 2: literally someone's garage attached to their house. We go in there,
- 8:08Speaker 2: we're going along the buffet. I sit down, who walks in?
- 8:12Speaker 2: Melissa Joan Hart and Olivia. She sat there and we
- 8:16Speaker 2: talked and I almost died. And then I filmed my
- 8:18Speaker 2: first scene that night. We didn't like go over it
- 8:21Speaker 2: or anything. We just were like, okay, we don't have
- 8:23Speaker 2: a lot of time, but we'll roll. And we went
- 8:24Speaker 2: and we shot it in like 40 minutes and it felt, man,
- 8:28Speaker 2: it felt natural. I was so terrified. This was back
- 8:31Speaker 2: when I was going through the Ozempic stuff. It was
- 8:33Speaker 2: the scariest time of my life. But it's like everything
- 8:35Speaker 2: in my head turned off. And I'm going to be
- 8:37Speaker 2: honest with you. I'm manifesting it. I really think somebody
- 8:41Speaker 2: should take a chance on me in the acting world.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I have dreamt that I've won an Oscar about 50 times.
- 8:46Speaker 2: And I just feel like it's going to happen one day.
- 8:47Speaker 2: And I don't think I'm silly because I believe it.
- 8:49Speaker 1: And I have made.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Crazier things come true. So if you're out there and
- 8:52Speaker 2: you're casting something... Do you need a chunky funky monkey?
- 8:56Speaker 2: I'm kidding. I can be super serious. But yeah, if
- 8:59Speaker 2: you guys are wanting to get in the industry... Never
- 9:01Speaker 2: pay someone to get you there. Get a manager, get
- 9:04Speaker 2: an agent, which can be really hard. It's a little
- 9:06Speaker 2: another BTS. I couldn't get management until I was around
- 9:09Speaker 2: 11 million followers on TikTok. Nobody would take a chance
- 9:14Speaker 2: on me in those beginning days of TikTok. But I
- 9:16Speaker 2: am so lucky for my manager, Frankie. He's the most handsome,
- 9:20Speaker 2: wonderful man. And he has been my manager since I'd
- 9:23Speaker 2: say about late 2021. And we have a snap streak
- 9:24Speaker 2: of 802 days. So he's my manager and my friend.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I want to say thank you to today's video sponsor, BetterHelp.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I started therapy a little while ago and it was
- 9:36Speaker 2: the best decision for me. As you guys know, I've
- 9:39Speaker 2: been going through a lot lately, especially with my dog
- 9:42Speaker 2: Molly and her cancer diagnosis. And if I didn't have
- 9:44Speaker 2: my therapist to help me navigate this whole new world,
- 9:48Speaker 2: I honestly don't know exactly where I would be. BetterHelp
- 9:52Speaker 2: is a wonderful service because you can do therapy from home,
- 9:56Speaker 2: on your phone or on your computer. Once you go
- 9:58Speaker 2: to BetterHelp, you'll be able to do a quiz. Who
- 10:00Speaker 2: will match you to the perfect therapist for you? It's
- 10:03Speaker 2: going to ask you a lot of questions that you
- 10:04Speaker 2: wouldn't expect, and honestly, it worked for me. If you
- 10:08Speaker 2: don't like the therapist that you're first matched with, that's okay.
- 10:11Speaker 2: You can change anytime with no cost to you. Starting
- 10:14Speaker 2: therapy can be super intimidating and going into an office
- 10:18Speaker 2: and sitting across from somebody can be super intimidating. And
- 10:21Speaker 2: I think that's what bothered me and scared me the most.
- 10:24Speaker 2: So being able to sit at my desk comfortably at
- 10:26Speaker 2: home or honestly lay.
- 10:28Speaker 1: In bed has made it a lot less scary. So
- 10:31Speaker 1: if you guys are.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Interested in starting therapy or even taking a look, head
- 10:36Speaker 2: to betterhelp.com slash slaymasluckyboo for 10% off your first month
- 10:41Speaker 2: of therapy.
- 10:42Speaker 1: So thank you so much BetterHelp. See you next time.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Okay. Jordan Tuesday. So Jordan Tuesday is my life with
- 10:49Speaker 2: Derek Degrassi.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I love her.
- 10:52Speaker 6: Okay.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. Selena. Hello. Hello. Pause.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Back when TikTok started, I had reached out to Jordan.
- 11:00Speaker 2: So I should say that we are acquaintance friends. I
- 11:03Speaker 2: told her how much I love Degrassi. She literally sent
- 11:05Speaker 2: me a screenplay of one of the last parts of Degrassi,
- 11:08Speaker 2: like the actual script. and signed it and a blanket.
- 11:12Speaker 2: And it was one of the most heartwarming things ever.
- 11:14Speaker 2: So I'm excited to see what she says.
- 11:16Speaker 6: I got super excited when I saw that this was
- 11:19Speaker 6: from you.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I was like, no way. Curly, how are you? I
- 11:23Speaker 1: hope you're doing well.
- 11:24Speaker 6: Um, I always get excited when I see you up
- 11:27Speaker 6: on my timeline, whether that's on Instagram or TikTok. I
- 11:31Speaker 6: love you.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Love you lots.
- 11:34Speaker 6: Um, Okay, like, advice-wise, that's such, like, a hard question.
- 11:40Speaker 4: It is.
- 11:40Speaker 6: But I'd say, like, the biggest thing that I live
- 11:45Speaker 6: by is it is not my duty to judge. It
- 11:48Speaker 6: is my greatest accomplishment to love. And so my whole
- 11:52Speaker 6: goal is to love more than I judge, love more
- 11:56Speaker 6: than I condemn. And not only is that, like, yes, externally, outwardly,
- 12:02Speaker 6: to judge, people and animals and things around me.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Um, but also internally.
- 12:10Speaker 6: Um, I do my best not to negatively judge myself
- 12:14Speaker 6: and to love myself. Um, so in all, all ways, um,
- 12:20Speaker 6: I think that's like just, I don't know. It's my
- 12:22Speaker 6: greatest accomplishment is to just love and spread more love. Um,
- 12:27Speaker 6: so I know it's like pretty generic, but I truthfully
- 12:29Speaker 6: think that's, the best, uh, advice that I am constantly
- 12:35Speaker 6: reminding myself of. Um, and also, okay, so like favorite book,
- 12:41Speaker 6: maybe it's a little biased, but, but my mom is
- 12:46Speaker 6: an author. And so Myth by Taught a Sea, uh,
- 12:51Speaker 6: and she actually released her sequel Troth.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Both are amazing.
- 12:55Speaker 6: Um, Obviously, they are very near and dear to my heart.
- 12:59Speaker 6: And I obviously had a lot of fun helping with
- 13:03Speaker 6: that whole creative process. So they feel like very connected
- 13:07Speaker 6: to me. But anyway, I love you so much.
- 13:11Speaker 1: You're amazing.
- 13:12Speaker 6: I'm sending you all of the good energy, all the love,
- 13:15Speaker 6: all the light.
- 13:17Speaker 1: You're the best.
- 13:18Speaker 6: And if somebody tells you you're not, just get that
- 13:20Speaker 6: shit out your life.
- 13:20Speaker 1: You don't need it. You're just going to have to
- 13:23Speaker 1: take my word for it. You're amazing. Love you. That
- 13:26Speaker 1: was really sweet. And I really like that piece of advice.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I find myself sometimes getting into like a really negative headspace.
- 13:32Speaker 2: And I think we all do that. And I feel
- 13:34Speaker 2: like it follows along like judging. I heard this really
- 13:36Speaker 2: great quote that said, comparison is a thief of joy.
- 13:41Speaker 2: So we judge people, we compare ourselves to each other.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I feel like they kind of fall into the same thing.
- 13:45Speaker 2: I feel like we judge people the hardest that remind
- 13:47Speaker 2: us of ourselves. But choosing to love instead of judging
- 13:51Speaker 2: and that can be a hard feat, if.
- 13:53Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 13:55Speaker 2: When my uncle first got sick, he'd made some bad choices.
- 13:59Speaker 2: And I spent a long time harshly judging him, a
- 14:02Speaker 2: big part of my life, for the things that he
- 14:04Speaker 2: had done. And it wasn't until, you know, I watched
- 14:08Speaker 2: him come undone as a person a little bit that
- 14:11Speaker 2: I saw some of the reasons for why he may
- 14:14Speaker 2: have done these things.
- 14:15Speaker 1: And I was able to love him in a different way. Okay,
- 14:18Speaker 1: next up. This is probably one of the most famous
- 14:22Speaker 1: men in the whole entire world. I'm nervous. I'm excited
- 14:25Speaker 1: to open this with you guys. I might throw up.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I might throw up, okay? Here we go. Well, Selena
- 14:35Speaker 1: Spooky Boo.
- 14:36Speaker 6: Hi, Santa.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Oh, my sweet Selena.
- 14:39Speaker 4: I haven't been this excited to do a cameo in, well,
- 14:42Speaker 4: since last week. I've been given a ton of advice
- 14:47Speaker 4: over the years, and like myself, Attending to lead a
- 14:50Speaker 4: seminar on healthy eating. Consider the source. But a few
- 14:56Speaker 4: good pieces of advice come to mind. Never rat on
- 14:59Speaker 4: your friends and always keep your mouth shut.
- 15:01Speaker 9: No, wait, wait, wait.
- 15:02Speaker 1: That was good, fellas. Seriously, though.
- 15:07Speaker 4: The best advice I ever got was from my great-grandmother.
- 15:10Speaker 4: She told me, always save a little bit of love
- 15:12Speaker 4: for yourself. Because if you can't love yourself, who can you? Oh, yes.
- 15:17Speaker 4: I always took that to mean that We can only
- 15:19Speaker 4: give to other people what we already possess. Sound advice.
- 15:25Speaker 4: I've read a lot of books, and when I'm not
- 15:27Speaker 4: reading yours, I find myself with a very narrow list
- 15:31Speaker 4: that I like to read again and again. My favorite
- 15:34Speaker 4: book of all time.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Is The Hobbit. The Hobbit.
- 15:38Speaker 4: The Lord of the Rings trilogy, with the two towers
- 15:41Speaker 4: being my personal favorite. And if what we read says
- 15:45Speaker 4: an awful lot about who we are, well then... I
- 15:49Speaker 4: guess I'm caught up in a tale of struggle and adventure.
- 15:52Speaker 4: And after all, aren't we responsible for our own happiness
- 15:55Speaker 4: in the end? Love you so much and appreciate this
- 15:59Speaker 4: opportunity to take up some of your precious time. And
- 16:02Speaker 4: with that, I'm off to the toy factory to continue
- 16:05Speaker 4: making the nice children of the world a Christmas toy. Now,
- 16:09Speaker 4: I'll be at your house this Christmas Eve, so please
- 16:12Speaker 4: don't forget my milk and cookies.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I won't.
- 16:14Speaker 4: My favorites are sugar cookies shaped like a Christmas tree.
- 16:18Speaker 4: But as you can plainly see, Santa never met a
- 16:20Speaker 4: cookie he didn't like.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.
- 16:24Speaker 4: Be good, Selena Spooky Boo, and I'll see you on
- 16:28Speaker 4: Christmas Eve. Well, I'll see you, but you won't see me. Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Be good, Selena.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho. I love that!
- 16:41Speaker 1: It takes you back, you know, to RuPaul's Drag Race.
- 16:43Speaker 1: How the hell are you gonna love someone? Wait, oh no.
- 16:48Speaker 2: If you don't love yourself, how in the hell are
- 16:50Speaker 2: you supposed to love somebody else? So yeah, when it
- 16:53Speaker 2: comes down to the end of the day, being kind
- 16:56Speaker 2: to yourself and the energy that you put into yourself
- 16:59Speaker 2: is what you're going to reflect onto others. And when
- 17:01Speaker 2: you don't like yourself, others can tell. I feel like
- 17:03Speaker 2: all this advice has been really good. Not being kind
- 17:06Speaker 2: to yourself is the biggest disservice you can do to yourself.
- 17:09Speaker 2: There's one person in the world that you will always
- 17:12Speaker 2: have to depend on no matter what, and that is yourself.
- 17:16Speaker 2: We treat people around us with so much love and
- 17:18Speaker 2: so much care and 99% of ourselves forget to do
- 17:22Speaker 2: that for ourselves.
- 17:24Speaker 1: And that is crazy. So Santa, that was a beautiful
- 17:27Speaker 1: piece of advice. Oh my gosh.
- 17:30Speaker 2: So have you watched my thousand pound sisters or my
- 17:32Speaker 2: 600 pound life?
- 17:34Speaker 1: You have, you have. So there is a doctor named Dr. Now.
- 17:37Speaker 1: He is something else. He is on cameo.
- 17:45Speaker 2: I told him that I weighed 185 pounds. I told
- 17:49Speaker 2: him how tall I was. I told him that I
- 17:50Speaker 2: had type two diabetes and I asked him to tell
- 17:53Speaker 2: me to lose weight. I thought that it would be funny.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I did open this one last night when it came
- 17:58Speaker 2: in cause I was really excited. He did not give
- 18:00Speaker 2: me advice in general, but gave me advice about losing weight.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Okay, here we go.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Hello.
- 18:06Speaker 7: How are you all doing? Hi, Selena. I hope you're
- 18:09Speaker 7: doing well and staying safe. Selena, I want to thank
- 18:13Speaker 7: you for being a fan and follow up. And that
- 18:18Speaker 7: means a lot. And hopefully you're watching the show. And
- 18:21Speaker 7: I'm hoping that watching the show will motivate you to
- 18:24Speaker 7: stay healthy and to care for yourself. Because you're 190
- 18:28Speaker 7: pounds and you only have three.
- 18:31Speaker 1: I'm not 100.
- 18:32Speaker 7: You're 130 to 140 pounds.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I will never be 130 pounds. And you have.
- 18:38Speaker 7: Also high blood pressure. So this is not a good
- 18:42Speaker 7: setup for you. So I want you to stick with
- 18:45Speaker 7: the healthy eating habit. You eat two or three times
- 18:48Speaker 7: a day with no carbs and lemonade carbs out of
- 18:51Speaker 7: your diet. No stanching between the meals. And you do
- 18:55Speaker 7: a daily exercise and you take some vitamins. And try
- 18:59Speaker 7: to lose 8 to 10 pounds each month. And set
- 19:03Speaker 7: a goal for you, not only for your weight, also
- 19:06Speaker 7: for your life. And make a goal every week, every month.
- 19:11Speaker 7: And follow those goals and stick with that. Motivate yourself
- 19:16Speaker 7: and stay healthy. So I wish you the best of luck, Selena.
- 19:21Speaker 7: Take care of yourself. And thank you for being a fan,
- 19:25Speaker 7: and watch your diet, and get your weight down, and
- 19:30Speaker 7: lose about eight to ten pounds each month.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Okay, that was something else.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Before the comments come that are like, you're fine the
- 19:37Speaker 2: way you are, I'm not. I love big, beautiful women
- 19:41Speaker 2: and men and anyone across the board. Unfortunately for me,
- 19:46Speaker 2: my frame is too small for what I am carrying,
- 19:49Speaker 2: and I currently am living with some extreme health scares,
- 19:52Speaker 2: things that I haven't completely spoken on yet because I'm
- 19:55Speaker 2: still waiting for some results on things, but a lot
- 19:58Speaker 2: of it will be solved. I have a lot of
- 20:00Speaker 2: different underlying conditions that if I was at a different.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Weight, my body would not have to work so hard.
- 20:05Speaker 2: There are a lot of people out there who can
- 20:07Speaker 2: be perfectly healthy and larger and to those people, I
- 20:10Speaker 2: love them. I wish you love and light, but unfortunately
- 20:12Speaker 2: for me, I'm content with how I look, but it's just,
- 20:15Speaker 2: it's not working for me sticking around. And for the
- 20:18Speaker 2: first time I want to live. I want to be here.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Okay.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I'm having a great time. Why does it work that way?
- 20:24Speaker 2: When you're young and you're like, I don't want to
- 20:25Speaker 2: be here. You're perfectly healthy.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And then you get a little bit older and it's like,
- 20:29Speaker 1: guess what? Okay. Next up glitter Paris. Okay.
- 20:36Speaker 2: This woman is very viral on TikTok, mainly right now
- 20:38Speaker 2: for this sound.
- 20:39Speaker 9: And if people want to call me a slut or
- 20:41Speaker 9: say I look like a slut, it doesn't matter because
- 20:43Speaker 9: I don't give a what people.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Think about me.
- 20:46Speaker 9: And you shouldn't care either.
- 20:48Speaker 2: You're probably going to recognize her immediately. I'm really excited.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 20:54Speaker 9: Selena Spooky Boo. I don't even know if this is
- 20:56Speaker 9: real or not. Hi, this glitter Paris.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. I got your.
- 21:02Speaker 9: message and probably my best advice would be once a
- 21:08Speaker 9: cheater always a cheater and true and my sound advice
- 21:15Speaker 9: though would probably be more financial I'm giving you two
- 21:18Speaker 9: pieces I know you only ask for one but it
- 21:22Speaker 9: would be don't buy things that you can't really pay
- 21:25Speaker 9: for I know we can't do that with a house
- 21:27Speaker 9: sometimes or a car but like other stuff if you
- 21:29Speaker 9: can't really afford it you don't have the money in
- 21:31Speaker 9: the bank to Don't really buy it. You know, don't
- 21:34Speaker 9: put it on your credit card if you don't have
- 21:35Speaker 9: the money to pay for it. That's my best advice.
- 21:38Speaker 9: So you feel stable in life. And then I'm not
- 21:42Speaker 9: really a scholar.
- 21:43Speaker 2: I have.
- 21:45Speaker 9: Like the craziest taste. I just like to read true
- 21:48Speaker 9: crime and all that kind of stuff and listen to podcasts.
- 21:52Speaker 9: And like I was saying, I am not really, you know,
- 21:55Speaker 9: a scholar.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Okay.
- 21:57Speaker 9: Um, with like the most wonderful book advice. So my favorite,
- 22:02Speaker 9: I'm just going to go off what I like. Um,
- 22:05Speaker 9: I have this slim errands who was like a fancy
- 22:08Speaker 9: photographer of like very rich people back in the. 60s
- 22:12Speaker 9: and the 50s and he did all this editorial stuff
- 22:15Speaker 9: and i have a book of all his photographs of
- 22:17Speaker 9: like these famous palm springs um editorial layouts it's cool
- 22:22Speaker 9: shit and that's my favorite book it's easy to find
- 22:25Speaker 9: just put like slim errands and amazon the coffee table
- 22:29Speaker 9: book will pop up But that's it, and I just
- 22:32Speaker 9: wanted to say I love you, and thank you so much, okay?
- 22:36Speaker 9: And have a wonderful day, and if somebody doesn't buy
- 22:40Speaker 9: you what you want, make sure you slap them.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I love Ginger, that was really, really cute.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I enjoyed that, and wow, I really liked both those
- 22:48Speaker 2: pieces of advice, because I can relate to both of them, babe.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Once a cheater, always a cheater, yeah. Many boys came
- 22:55Speaker 2: before Adam. I call them boys.
- 22:56Speaker 1: There was an Adam before the Adam, and Once a cheater,
- 22:59Speaker 1: always a cheater, babe. Then the financial advice that she.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Gave was actually really extraordinary and something that I can
- 23:04Speaker 2: live by and I preach to everybody.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I have said this before.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I don't know if you know this about me, but
- 23:08Speaker 2: there was a point in my life where I was
- 23:10Speaker 2: over $ 100, 000 in debt and it took me a year
- 23:14Speaker 2: to get out of that hole. And it was because,
- 23:17Speaker 2: you know, it's not even keeping up with the Joneses.
- 23:19Speaker 2: It added up so quickly. It was, oh, well, I
- 23:21Speaker 2: really like that pair of shoes or, oh, I really
- 23:23Speaker 2: like this or, Oops, I can't pay this bill.
- 23:25Speaker 1: And then boom, boom, boom, bang, bang, bang. I was
- 23:28Speaker 1: not being responsible. The money that did come in, I
- 23:31Speaker 1: was blowing. And I learned that lesson really, really hard
- 23:34Speaker 1: in my late teens and my early 20s.
- 23:36Speaker 2: So Ginger, thank you so much for that sound advice.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Because if you don't got it, sleep on it. Don't
- 23:41Speaker 2: impulse buy. Even if it feels so good. Oh my gosh,
- 23:45Speaker 2: I didn't think that this one was gonna come in.
- 23:47Speaker 2: We have Mama June.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Put it on, you need more toys here.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Yes, that June. Honey Boo Boo June. I asked her
- 23:56Speaker 2: for her best piece of advice and her favorite book.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Oh, I see her. Are you ready? I'm so excited. Hey,
- 24:01Speaker 1: Spooky Boo, what's up?
- 24:02Speaker 10: This is your girl, Mama June. And look, girl, I'm
- 24:05Speaker 10: going to give you the best advice that I could
- 24:07Speaker 10: give anybody. If you are going through something and you
- 24:10Speaker 10: don't want to talk to people about it, that is fine.
- 24:13Speaker 10: But girl, all you have to do is write about it.
- 24:17Speaker 10: And if today's problems bother you tomorrow, keep writing about it.
- 24:20Speaker 1: But you have to delete those.
- 24:22Speaker 10: It will let so much anger, so much frustration, so
- 24:25Speaker 10: much whatever you're going through off of your brain.
- 24:28Speaker 1: As far as my.
- 24:29Speaker 10: Favorite book has to be The Outsiders because I just
- 24:32Speaker 10: love that movie from like so long ago because I'm
- 24:34Speaker 10: not a damn reader. But anyway, girl, you're going to
- 24:38Speaker 10: make it through it. Just don't give a shit what
- 24:39Speaker 10: anybody else says. Know what you are about and know
- 24:42Speaker 10: that you are an amazing person.
- 24:44Speaker 1: You know what? That was good.
- 24:45Speaker 2: That was deeper than I thought it was going to be.
- 24:46Speaker 2: I know that Mama June's been through a lot. I
- 24:49Speaker 2: actually just remembered in this exact moment that she lost
- 24:51Speaker 2: her daughter a few years months ago, so rest in peace.
- 24:54Speaker 2: That is really sad. Oh, that was really good advice though.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Write it down. If something's bugging you, write it down.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I can't tell you how many of my notes are
- 25:02Speaker 2: full of texts that I wanted to send people and
- 25:04Speaker 2: I didn't, but sometimes just writing it out or honestly
- 25:07Speaker 2: I'll vent to Adam for an hour and then you
- 25:09Speaker 2: just feel a lot better. Don't leave things inside because
- 25:11Speaker 2: that's what turns into panic attacks. That's what turns into
- 25:14Speaker 2: lashing out. You know, in my manifesting hat in the back,
- 25:17Speaker 2: I have a mirror and sometimes I just go in
- 25:19Speaker 2: there and.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I yell at myself about things and that is just.
- 25:21Speaker 2: The So before the comments come, I did text Chris
- 25:25Speaker 2: that I needed some advice and I asked her, but.
- 25:28Speaker 1: She is in the middle of moving. Boo, you whore.
- 25:31Speaker 2: There's been so many comments in my comments talking about
- 25:34Speaker 2: Chris and that her and I are beefing or that
- 25:36Speaker 2: she's moving away from me.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I want to make something really clear.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Right now, when Chris is in Vancouver, she is a
- 25:42Speaker 2: five and a half hour flight from me. Where Chris
- 25:45Speaker 2: is moving, she's a three and a half hour flight
- 25:48Speaker 2: from me. So Chris is actually moving closer to me
- 25:51Speaker 2: because Texas is a lot closer to me than Vancouver is.
- 25:55Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with Chris and I. I love her
- 25:57Speaker 1: so much.
- 25:58Speaker 2: She gives me great advice and she is one of
- 26:00Speaker 2: the people that I am just extraordinarily thankful for. Now,
- 26:04Speaker 2: I did reach out to one of the most wise
- 26:05Speaker 2: people that I do know and that is Sam Golbeck.
- 26:09Speaker 2: He always has a nice thing to say. He'll always
- 26:11Speaker 2: pop things on his Instagram story. And I just write
- 26:13Speaker 2: him and I'm like, I needed that. That was so good.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I feel like he's just a really deep person. I
- 26:16Speaker 2: feel like he's a really, really old soul. He's such
- 26:19Speaker 2: an incredible person to speak to. Him and Colby are
- 26:21Speaker 2: genuinely the kindest people that I've ever met.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Like, I'm going to be honest.
- 26:24Speaker 2: So many people I meet in public are like, Selena,
- 26:25Speaker 2: I found you through Sam and Colby. I'm endlessly thankful
- 26:28Speaker 2: to them for that. People say, what are they like
- 26:30Speaker 2: in real life? They're exactly how you would think.
- 26:32Speaker 1: They are kind. They are inclusive. They are warm. I've
- 26:36Speaker 1: never felt so comfortable with, you know, famous people in
- 26:38Speaker 1: my whole life.
- 26:39Speaker 3: What's up, Selena?
- 26:41Speaker 1: How's it going? I'm a little sick.
- 26:43Speaker 3: The best advice I ever received was that the entire
- 26:47Speaker 3: purpose of this life is about relationships. There was a large,
- 26:51Speaker 3: I think it was the longest study in the entire world,
- 26:52Speaker 3: a Harvard study that said the one determining factor, bypassing
- 26:58Speaker 3: disease or freak accidents or whatever, that determined a long
- 27:02Speaker 3: and healthy life was the healthiness of someone's relationships. So
- 27:07Speaker 3: if there's one thing that you can focus on, one
- 27:09Speaker 3: thing that you can put ahead of everything else, put
- 27:12Speaker 3: relationships first. The people you care about, the people you love,
- 27:15Speaker 3: they will be the people that give you a healthy life,
- 27:18Speaker 3: give you a long-lasting life, and give you a life
- 27:21Speaker 3: worth of value. So that is like the number one
- 27:24Speaker 3: thing that I have learned to value those relationships. And
- 27:27Speaker 3: then for book, my favorite book I've read in the
- 27:31Speaker 3: last decade is this.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Book called 4,000 Weeks.
- 27:33Speaker 3: 4,000 Weeks, the amount of weeks that you have before
- 27:38Speaker 3: you die, if you live to the standard 80 years old-ish.
- 27:42Speaker 3: And the main concept of the book is that everyone
- 27:46Speaker 3: is rushing to figure something out. Everybody's saying, oh, I
- 27:49Speaker 3: have this amount of time, I have this limited slot
- 27:51Speaker 3: of time, I need to cram everything in, I need
- 27:53Speaker 3: to figure it all out, and then one day, once
- 27:55Speaker 3: I figure it all out, then I'll be happy. And
- 27:57Speaker 3: the whole purpose of the book is to prove that
- 27:59Speaker 3: you will never figure it all out. You will never
- 28:02Speaker 3: come to every single solution, you'll never come to every
- 28:05Speaker 3: single problem being solved, and that's okay. In fact, it's
- 28:09Speaker 3: not only okay, that is the point. The point of
- 28:13Speaker 3: life is to have problems. The point of life is
- 28:16Speaker 3: to continually solve problems and get better until the day
- 28:20Speaker 3: that you die. So once you adopt that mindset, it
- 28:23Speaker 3: becomes less like, oh, when am I going to figure
- 28:24Speaker 3: this out? And you can start just enjoying the day-to-day things.
- 28:28Speaker 3: But yeah, 4,000 Weeks, fantastic book.
- 28:31Speaker 1: That was absolutely fantastic. I really love the advice that
- 28:33Speaker 1: he gave.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I think I've seen both ends of that spectrum with,
- 28:37Speaker 2: you know, I speak about my uncle who has dementia.
- 28:39Speaker 2: He lived a very solitary life and he now has
- 28:43Speaker 2: dementia at this really young age and has had to
- 28:45Speaker 2: navigate throughout his whole entire life kind of without a
- 28:48Speaker 2: spouse or children or anything like that.
- 28:49Speaker 1: And I've seen him, if you know what I mean.
- 28:53Speaker 2: I take a lot from what Sam says and he
- 28:55Speaker 2: really executes it in his real life. They're the kindest
- 28:58Speaker 2: people that I've ever met, Sam and Colby. And They're
- 29:02Speaker 2: one of the few people who's put up with me,
- 29:04Speaker 2: if I can say that. I've had a lot of
- 29:05Speaker 2: health stuff. I've had to leave paranormal trips with them
- 29:09Speaker 2: because back in the day, I didn't know what was
- 29:12Speaker 2: going on with my heart yet. And I got really,
- 29:14Speaker 2: really ill. And Sam and Colby got me to the
- 29:16Speaker 2: airport and made sure that I got home safe. I've
- 29:19Speaker 2: not been able to come on full ghost hunts with
- 29:20Speaker 2: them for like two different locations because my health hasn't
- 29:24Speaker 2: been in the best and they have never judged me
- 29:25Speaker 2: for it. They've always invited me back and they've checked
- 29:29Speaker 2: in on me.
- 29:30Speaker 10: I'm a.
- 29:31Speaker 2: But I'm thankful for that because in this industry, a
- 29:34Speaker 2: lot of people move really fast and a lot of
- 29:36Speaker 2: people forget about you. And that's the truth. And Sam
- 29:39Speaker 2: and Colby and. Chris and Kelsey are all people who
- 29:43Speaker 2: check in with me all the time. And I will
- 29:45Speaker 2: be forever grateful for them because they are helping me live.
- 29:48Speaker 1: That long and happy life.
- 29:50Speaker 2: The last piece of advice we have, I'm so excited
- 29:52Speaker 2: to open. It just came in on time. So my
- 29:55Speaker 2: biggest girl crush in the whole entire world is on
- 29:57Speaker 2: Emily Hampshire. My favorite show in the entire world is
- 30:00Speaker 2: Schitt's Creek. She brought Stevie to life and I've been
- 30:03Speaker 2: so lucky that she's actually responded to me. One time
- 30:06Speaker 2: I sent her a message on Christmas. She wished me
- 30:08Speaker 2: a Christmas back and now once or twice a year,
- 30:11Speaker 2: I talk to her on Instagram and it's kind of
- 30:13Speaker 2: one of the highlights of my year. So I asked
- 30:15Speaker 2: her for advice.
- 30:17Speaker 1: So, ah, oh my God, oh my God, I'm ready.
- 30:20Speaker 11: So the best advice I ever received was to take
- 30:23Speaker 11: a thousand naked pictures of myself And even if I
- 30:26Speaker 11: think I look too spooky or that nobody wants to
- 30:28Speaker 11: see these tiny boobies, that one day I will look
- 30:32Speaker 11: back at those pictures with much kinder eyes. And that
