- 0:12Speaker 2: a radio show, got a good one for you today.
- 0:15Speaker 2: And it just happened to me. You know, I was
- 0:17Speaker 2: going through something that I've been going through for a
- 0:20Speaker 2: long long time and just weary of it all, and
- 0:23Speaker 2: I was I've been talking to God about it, and
- 0:26Speaker 2: I mean for years.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Though.
- 0:28Speaker 2: What happened was I had had to go through some
- 0:32Speaker 2: more of it yesterday again a situation. But you know what,
- 0:36Speaker 2: after it was over, you know, I kind of laid
- 0:39Speaker 2: in it for a little while. You know how you've
- 0:40Speaker 2: been going through something for so long and then even
- 0:43Speaker 2: if it's over or appears to be over, you still
- 0:46Speaker 2: kind of lay in it a little bit, and you know,
- 0:48Speaker 2: you have a while. Man, I can't believe I've been
- 0:51Speaker 2: dealing with this this long, even though even though it's over.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I don't know how you do it. But this was
- 0:57Speaker 2: so good for me. Have you ever counted, Steve Harvey,
- 1:01Speaker 2: how many times you made it? And so that's what
- 1:04Speaker 2: I started doing yesterday, and that's what I did this morning.
- 1:07Speaker 2: When I woke up, I was actually taking an inventory
- 1:11Speaker 2: account of how many times I made it. How many times, man,
- 1:16Speaker 2: I didn't have the rent and somehow I came up
- 1:19Speaker 2: with it. How many times I didn't have my house
- 1:21Speaker 2: payment and somehow I came up with it. How many
- 1:25Speaker 2: times I was out of money, did not have enough,
- 1:28Speaker 2: didn't see no way, but somehow I came up with it.
- 1:33Speaker 1: How many times I got sick, thought, well, man, this
- 1:36Speaker 1: one right here.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm gonna do, but somehow I
- 1:40Speaker 2: got my health back. How many situations I have found
- 1:45Speaker 2: myself in? That was I thought at the time, detrimental
- 1:49Speaker 2: and diabolical and man so sinister at times. Somehow I
- 1:56Speaker 2: made it. I look at all the accidents I've been in,
- 2:00Speaker 2: but he kept me. I made it. I think about
- 2:03Speaker 2: even the simplest times of like stepping off a curve
- 2:06Speaker 2: and almost got hit, but I made it.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I was just tripping the other day.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I was thinking about the times that I've been hit
- 2:13Speaker 2: by a car and it could have been worse, but
- 2:16Speaker 2: it wasn't, And I made it through that too. I
- 2:18Speaker 2: was thinking about, Man, when they count you out, do
- 2:22Speaker 2: you know how many times I've been counted out? He's done?
- 2:26Speaker 2: He ain't gonna be nothing. He ain't nobody see who
- 2:30Speaker 2: I told y'all look at over that they counsel this.
- 2:33Speaker 2: He offered that he out of here. He ain't gonna
- 2:36Speaker 2: make it. He didne got fired.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Man.
- 2:37Speaker 2: You know how many times I've been counted out? You
- 2:40Speaker 2: know how many times they done wrote me off? How
- 2:42Speaker 2: many times have you been written off? Man?
- 2:44Speaker 1: But here you still standing? Yeah, you have a tripped
- 2:46Speaker 1: on it.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Take an inventory, y'all of how many times? Count the
- 2:52Speaker 2: times you've made it? What about the times man, when
- 2:54Speaker 2: nobody was there to encourage you, but you still here
- 2:58Speaker 2: though that ain't nobody called you and told you good day.
- 3:03Speaker 2: No nobody called you and told you recently thank you.
- 3:05Speaker 2: No one's called you and told you how much you
- 3:07Speaker 2: meant to them, how much you've done for them, or man,
- 3:09Speaker 2: that you can make it.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Never give up. Keep your head up, man, keep grinding.
- 3:13Speaker 2: But you still here even when nobody Have you counted
- 3:16Speaker 2: the times man that you made it? Anyway, have you
- 3:21Speaker 2: counted the times that you felt like quitting, you felt
- 3:24Speaker 2: like giving up, you kept going?
- 3:28Speaker 1: How about the time this is a good one right here?
- 3:30Speaker 2: How about the times man, when everybody's standing around saying,
- 3:33Speaker 2: ain't no way, ain't no way.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Man.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I can't tell how many times I've heard this, ain't
- 3:37Speaker 2: no way. And then somehow there is a way. You
- 3:42Speaker 2: know why, because he make a way. You understand.
- 3:45Speaker 1: You know how many times I've heard this one?
- 3:47Speaker 2: Right here, Steve, listen to me, man, nobody ever before
- 3:52Speaker 2: has done that. You can't do that. How many times
- 3:55Speaker 2: you done heard no, you or you know anybody that
- 3:58Speaker 2: done that? You can't do that. No one has ever
- 4:02Speaker 2: done that. I made it anyway? You know, they don't
- 4:08Speaker 2: normally or we don't normally allowed this, but in this
- 4:15Speaker 2: case for you, we gonna make an exception. How many
- 4:19Speaker 2: times have you heard that, Oh, I think I'm onto something?
- 4:23Speaker 1: How many times have you heard in your lifetime?
- 4:26Speaker 2: We don't normally or they don't normally allow this, but
- 4:31Speaker 2: we gonna make this exception in your case. How many
- 4:36Speaker 2: times you done heard that? Have you ever counted the
- 4:40Speaker 2: times that you made it? Everybody out except me? How
- 4:48Speaker 2: can that be? You know you're the only one that
- 4:51Speaker 2: got through this? Congratulations? Wow, man, I don't hardly see
- 4:56Speaker 2: this too many times. But do you realize that normally
- 4:59Speaker 2: this this is what happened to people? But man, y'all,
- 5:02Speaker 2: I don't know how your name came up, but here
- 5:04Speaker 2: you are. Wow, it never happens like that. You ever
- 5:07Speaker 2: counted those times I was doing it yesterday? I was
- 5:11Speaker 2: doing it this morning. I was just taking an inventory, everybody,
- 5:14Speaker 2: of how many times I've made it. So what I
- 5:18Speaker 2: learned yesterday was when God gets you through something, when
- 5:22Speaker 2: he pulled you out on the other side, no matter
- 5:25Speaker 2: how difficult or how long it took. When He gets
- 5:29Speaker 2: you out on the other side, why don't you get up,
- 5:32Speaker 2: dust yourself off and start troting what you laying that for? Man?
- 5:37Speaker 2: Wallowing in it, going over it, recycling it in your mind.
- 5:42Speaker 2: So many people can't move forward because we keep recycling
- 5:47Speaker 2: stuff in our mind when clearly it's time to move on.
- 5:54Speaker 2: It's time to let go. It's time to go and
- 5:57Speaker 2: see what God has for you.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Stop looking at what you lost.
- 6:03Speaker 2: What you lost was probably not yours to have in
- 6:06Speaker 2: the first all, oh, in the first place. Do you
- 6:14Speaker 2: know the things I've lost?
- 6:17Speaker 1: Now?
- 6:17Speaker 2: I'm not talking about losing a loved one, a mother
- 6:19Speaker 2: or father, nothing like that. I'm talking about innate objects
- 6:23Speaker 2: or situation. Do you know the things I've lost?
- 6:26Speaker 1: Man? I look back on it.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I wasn't supposed to have them in the first place,
- 6:29Speaker 2: or they was doing me no good. I wasn't wasn't
- 6:31Speaker 2: mine to lose, but I claimed I lost it. Come on, man,
- 6:35Speaker 2: take an inventory, everybody. Start looking at the things man,
- 6:38Speaker 2: that God has brought you through. Start looking at how
- 6:41Speaker 2: many times He allowed you to make it, and get
- 6:43Speaker 2: glad about waking up in the morning. Man, Get glad
- 6:46Speaker 2: about your life. Start feeling something positive about your situation.
- 6:50Speaker 2: You cannot expect God to continue to bless you if
- 6:54Speaker 2: you're not grateful.
- 6:55Speaker 1: For the things that you have.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Why would God sitting down here looking at you, upset, angry,
- 7:03Speaker 2: laying in the wall of what you are not grateful for?
- 7:08Speaker 2: You just can't find the scene and find no gratitude
- 7:10Speaker 2: in your heart about nothing, but you steady asking God
- 7:13Speaker 2: for something. So now you think God is crazy. You
- 7:16Speaker 2: think he gonna give you some more stuff to not
- 7:18Speaker 2: be grateful for. Are you kidding me? Why would he
- 7:21Speaker 2: do that. He's too full of too much mercy to
- 7:25Speaker 2: send you through that.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Over and over and over.
- 7:27Speaker 2: The more I give my child, the more ungrateful they are,
- 7:31Speaker 2: the less gratitude they show. But I'm gonna keep dumping
- 7:33Speaker 2: it on them so they can keep feeling ungrateful and
- 7:36Speaker 2: then show like a gratitude. God's not gonna do that
- 7:38Speaker 2: to you. Come on, man, have you ever counted how
- 7:43Speaker 2: many times you made it? I can't count how many
- 7:48Speaker 2: times God don got me through something. But when he
- 7:51Speaker 2: gets you through it, you ain't get up and get
- 7:53Speaker 2: on about your business. Don't lay that in it. It's over,
- 7:56Speaker 2: it's done, you made it, you survived it. Let's go.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Let's got me to the Steve Harvey Morning Show
