- 0:00Speaker 1: The following program is produced by the tech Talk Radio Network.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hey, this is Mike Nelson from Mystery Science Theater and
- 0:06Speaker 2: rifftracks dot com, and you're listening to the greatest show
- 0:09Speaker 2: on the planet, tech Talk Radio.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Welcome to another episode of tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor,
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm Sean de Weird, and we are the show that
- 0:18Speaker 1: talks about computers, technology and theaternet And make sure if
- 0:22Speaker 1: you're online you follow us on YouTube. You're listening to
- 0:25Speaker 1: this over the radio, or you're listening to this in
- 0:27Speaker 1: the podcast on spreaker Spotify. You could also watch the video.
- 0:31Speaker 1: So it's good to see you, Sean. You got new equipment.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I love it.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Yeah, new mic, old audio mixer. But it's new in line.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I guess now, which Mike did you end up going with.
- 0:41Speaker 3: So this is the road Podcaster Pro.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It's supposed to be a really good MIC.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it's got the XLR. It's going into a little
- 0:48Speaker 3: less e four channel USP mixer. I just wanted to
- 0:50Speaker 3: get rid of the USB mic because you guys kept
- 0:53Speaker 3: giving me hard time because you're not really a radio guy.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I never said that, justin de Yeah, of course.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Yeah, uh so you and I tested this out a
- 1:04Speaker 3: couple weeks ago when I got it, because I bought
- 1:05Speaker 3: it right after I moved my desk over and everything.
- 1:07Speaker 3: So it's my new setup and it sounds better, sounds cleaner.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I can adjust the he a little bit. I also
- 1:13Speaker 3: got the Dji Mini.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Oh really, what can you do with that?
- 1:17Speaker 3: For it's wire It's a wireless mic, right.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Oh that's see, it's got it's got.
- 1:21Speaker 3: A magnet mount on it so I can clip it
- 1:23Speaker 3: on the inside of my sweatshirt. Oh that's can pretty
- 1:25Speaker 3: have it as a magnet.
- 1:26Speaker 1: There are so many microphones that are on the market
- 1:29Speaker 1: right now that people, you know, people are trying out.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Of course, I mean for broadcast, UH the R three twenty,
- 1:37Speaker 1: the R E twenty from UH Electro Voice, those those
- 1:41Speaker 1: are those are good. Of course, sure has a whole
- 1:44Speaker 1: line of microphones. But honestly, the Road, the road microphones
- 1:49Speaker 1: that's R O D are really good. People have been
- 1:51Speaker 1: really liking them.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yeah, we use them quite a bit for work, for
- 1:55Speaker 3: shotgun and other natural sound mics that we use for
- 1:59Speaker 3: sports and stuff. And they sound great. And this little
- 2:02Speaker 3: dj this little Dji guy is is great. I got
- 2:05Speaker 3: it on sale on b and h with. It comes
- 2:07Speaker 3: with the adapter to plug it into my phone, so
- 2:09Speaker 3: I can record to my phone if I wanted to.
- 2:10Speaker 3: So if I'm out shooting, I can just plug the
- 2:13Speaker 3: plug the receiver into my phone and a recorder into
- 2:15Speaker 3: my phone with this. So I've always wanted to do
- 2:18Speaker 3: a little bit more of a when I go out
- 2:20Speaker 3: and shoot, just record what I'm saying and what I'm
- 2:22Speaker 3: talking about when I'm shooting and stuff. So this will
- 2:24Speaker 3: be fun for that because otherwise I just take notes when.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I'm shooting, so they can help in editing, couldn't it.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I mean, yeah I can. Yes, You're just playing with it,
- 2:32Speaker 3: and you know it's this looks good. It's super easy
- 2:35Speaker 3: to use. It's got a really good battery life on it.
- 2:37Speaker 3: It's got a three and a half millimeter out so,
- 2:39Speaker 3: like I do have it into the audio console here,
- 2:41Speaker 3: so maybe during one of the breaks they'll switch over
- 2:43Speaker 3: to it. See what it sounds like. This sounds good.
- 2:44Speaker 3: So it's been fun to play with and another thing
- 2:47Speaker 3: to add to my arsenal of ever growing professional audio
- 2:50Speaker 3: and video here.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I bought a microphone at five below, which is like
- 2:55Speaker 1: a It's like a budget discount store it's almost like
- 2:59Speaker 1: a called it the Pick and Save or the Big
- 3:01Speaker 1: Lots of Tech of Tech. They have a pretty good
- 3:04Speaker 1: tech section there. I've found some cool stuff there. I've
- 3:07Speaker 1: got a green screen that attaches to the back of
- 3:09Speaker 1: the chair. I found lights. They have some microphones, but
- 3:13Speaker 1: I bought a little microphone like that that came with
- 3:17Speaker 1: not only the lightning jack to plug into an iPhone,
- 3:20Speaker 1: but also you could put USBC to plug it into
- 3:23Speaker 1: you know, Android device or today's iPhones, which was the
- 3:27Speaker 1: pickup on It was not bad, but it's still had
- 3:29Speaker 1: that kind of ten ten kind of sound from what
- 3:34Speaker 1: I've heard from people who've used Djiyes, you get like
- 3:37Speaker 1: a really pretty good experience, like bass a little bit.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I mean, obviously this is their lower tiered wireless mic.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Right they have the mic, the DGI Mike two, the
- 3:46Speaker 3: DJI Mike three, and then this is the Mini. I
- 3:48Speaker 3: mean it's small, it's less it's less than an inch
- 3:51Speaker 3: by an inch, and it's compact. It's the magnet ount
- 3:54Speaker 3: on it and that's I mean, I've tried to pull
- 3:55Speaker 3: on this. It's pretty on there space. It's super convenient
- 3:57Speaker 3: for micing up a gas. It's got two different colored
- 3:59Speaker 3: windscreens on it, or you can go naked, as they
- 4:02Speaker 3: call it, where you just pop this off and it's
- 4:03Speaker 3: just the cube a little square. But the wednescreen is
- 4:06Speaker 3: obviously gonna help if it's windy outside or you have
- 4:09Speaker 3: it up close to a heavy breather or something that's
- 4:11Speaker 3: gonna pop their peas or something like that.
- 4:12Speaker 1: So yeah, now, how much did that set you back?
- 4:14Speaker 1: It wasn't that much.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I think it was only like eighty like less than
- 4:17Speaker 3: eighty bucks.
- 4:17Speaker 1: That's not bad.
- 4:18Speaker 3: But I gotta I guess that I gotta. I found
- 4:19Speaker 3: it on sale on BNH, so I m alsto got
- 4:21Speaker 3: it at the right time?
- 4:22Speaker 1: Or now, what type of just forst sake, what type
- 4:25Speaker 1: of mixer are you going into?
- 4:26Speaker 3: So it's just an a Lessie multi mix It's called
- 4:29Speaker 3: the Lessie Multimix four four input little mini mixer. Two
- 4:32Speaker 3: MIC inputs, two mic pres so I have phantom power,
- 4:35Speaker 3: which this mic doesn't require, but if I needed to
- 4:37Speaker 3: put fantom power on. It's got an unbalanced input, two
- 4:40Speaker 3: unbalanced inputs for a left and right unbalanced output, had
- 4:43Speaker 3: to phone output, a three point five milimeter input, and
- 4:46Speaker 3: it also can do USB and a mains mix, so
- 4:49Speaker 3: you could mix a USB mix and a MAZE mix separately.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Oh cool. So so if you wanted to have music
- 4:55Speaker 1: underneath you or sound effects, because there you can buy now.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I mean, I remember when I got in a radio,
- 5:01Speaker 1: the shortcut was the thing. You know, if you wanted
- 5:03Speaker 1: to hit a button and have the sound of you know,
- 5:05Speaker 1: the wink or whatever, you could, but they were very expensive.
- 5:09Speaker 1: And now you could buy these really inexpensively that do
- 5:13Speaker 1: sounds just by hitting a button. So that could be
- 5:15Speaker 1: within your cast too, It could be.
- 5:18Speaker 3: But don't I don't plan on doing that. Sound boards
- 5:20Speaker 3: and stuff that. I'm not a big fan of those.
- 5:22Speaker 1: No, Yeah, people seem to have sometimes it's too much
- 5:25Speaker 1: fun where it's like, okay, cut it out. I hear you.
- 5:27Speaker 3: It gets annoying, That's what That's how I feel about.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Well, you know, for somebody though that wants to create
- 5:33Speaker 1: a podcast or video cast, and we've talked about this
- 5:36Speaker 1: stuff before in the show, you have to almost go
- 5:38Speaker 1: beyond this though. Now audio is important, but video seems
- 5:42Speaker 1: to be the way that a lot of people are
- 5:44Speaker 1: going with video casting, and YouTube is making that a
- 5:47Speaker 1: lot easier now, like we are with Spotify, you can
- 5:50Speaker 1: have a podcast, but now you could take the video,
- 5:53Speaker 1: upload it to Spotify and Spotify will play your your
- 5:56Speaker 1: video there as well. And many are finding that they
- 5:59Speaker 1: might want to switch back back and forth and do that.
- 6:01Speaker 1: There was a comment that I saw that had me thinking,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and I want to get your opinion on this, and
- 6:07Speaker 1: maybe our listeners if you want to chime in on
- 6:09Speaker 1: this as well, for those that do watch the video
- 6:12Speaker 1: version of this. It was from Terry Joe Underscore eleven said,
- 6:16Speaker 1: and she said this note to YouTube saying, can we
- 6:18Speaker 1: opt to have captions on for all videos? Because I
- 6:23Speaker 1: guess in YouTube you could go ahead and you could
- 6:25Speaker 1: turn captions on.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Live content or recorded content, because I believe recorded content
- 6:30Speaker 3: will automatically get captioned by YouTube, and you can turn
- 6:33Speaker 3: it on live captions. You have to enable it to
- 6:37Speaker 3: automatically caption.
- 6:39Speaker 1: It, okay, if you're watching it live.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Sometimes we actually have a real person capture of doing
- 6:44Speaker 3: our captioning, right, depending on the quality of our broadcast
- 6:47Speaker 3: or whatever we're doing. But occasionally when we just do
- 6:50Speaker 3: a lower tier live stream that's maybe a one camera
- 6:53Speaker 3: to a couple hundred.
- 6:54Speaker 1: People, right, we just have YouTube do it.
- 6:57Speaker 3: But it's a separate setting that if you don't enable
- 7:00Speaker 3: at the beginning of your stream, you can't go in
- 7:02Speaker 3: and retroactively enable it. It has to be all pre
- 7:04Speaker 3: planned ahead. Otherwise it just you get captions or you don't.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Captions would be great on everything, It's subject to errors.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Pronunciations for names and stuff are not always accurate. And again,
- 7:17Speaker 3: what is considered to be acceptable for an accessibility standpoint,
- 7:22Speaker 3: because as a university we have to meet a specific
- 7:25Speaker 3: level of accessibility.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Yeah, but for the.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Average YouTuber, you're probably not going to notice an eighty
- 7:31Speaker 3: five percent work correct correction, right.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Yeah, you know. And it's so we have that ability.
- 7:38Speaker 1: We when we do this show for the video portion
- 7:41Speaker 1: of it, we usually will do it on our shorts,
- 7:44Speaker 1: on the YouTube shorts that we post on our YouTube
- 7:46Speaker 1: page at tech talk Radio. But as far as the
- 7:50Speaker 1: full video like this show, I don't know. We were
- 7:53Speaker 1: talking about that at one point and I think we said, yeah,
- 7:55Speaker 1: now we don't need to do that. But Terry Joe's
- 7:58Speaker 1: comment that she had posted on some said, it's kind
- 8:01Speaker 1: of frustrating to navigate over to c see. Every single
- 8:04Speaker 1: time I watch a video I watch on my TV,
- 8:07Speaker 1: think of your deaf viewers. So is that becoming you
- 8:11Speaker 1: think a standard now that just throw them up there anyways,
- 8:16Speaker 1: since you can.
- 8:17Speaker 3: It's it's it's it's a user preference. Not everybody wants
- 8:20Speaker 3: to see them. Yeah, I've got friends that absolutely hate
- 8:24Speaker 3: having captions on. I like having them on because I
- 8:27Speaker 3: just like reading along. It's it's helpful if I'm missing
- 8:30Speaker 3: something or I need context or whatever. Some people don't
- 8:33Speaker 3: like them, and by default it's not turned on on
- 8:37Speaker 3: a lot of TVs or displays, right, You've got to
- 8:40Speaker 3: go in and turn on. Now you have options, right,
- 8:42Speaker 3: because you have what's called open captions, which is captions
- 8:46Speaker 3: that are burned into the video no matter what, and
- 8:48Speaker 3: then you have open or close captions. The benefit the
- 8:51Speaker 3: benefit of doing close captions is you can set multiple services,
- 8:56Speaker 3: meaning you can have close captioning one service. One is
- 9:00Speaker 3: English service, two is Spanish, three is French service, four
- 9:06Speaker 3: is Italian whatever you want. I think it's up like
- 9:08Speaker 3: six services based on the seventh that the CE seven
- 9:11Speaker 3: oight standard. I think it's the seven oiight standard for riens.
- 9:16Speaker 3: So you have to keep that in mind too. If
- 9:18Speaker 3: you put in open captions burned in so that they're
- 9:22Speaker 3: always on no matter what. And then somebody wants to
- 9:25Speaker 3: have Spanish captions, it's going to be over top of
- 9:28Speaker 3: the English captions that are already burned in, So you
- 9:32Speaker 3: have to keep that in mind too, right. So it's
- 9:35Speaker 3: it's a it's a little bit of a sticky wicket
- 9:38Speaker 3: where everybody wants to have it, but you have to
- 9:42Speaker 3: enable it. But you don't want to enable it because
- 9:44Speaker 3: you don't want to take the extra steps or your
- 9:46Speaker 3: right to know how especially if it's a TV that
- 9:49Speaker 3: you're not familiar with or a service you're not familiar with.
- 9:52Speaker 3: But yeah, so that's the benefit of close captioning, right
- 9:57Speaker 3: is you can have multiple services and multiple languages simultaneously.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Right. See, when when we do the show, we get
- 10:04Speaker 1: our transcripts that come with it through Riverside FM. I
- 10:08Speaker 1: have to go through and I have to fix your
- 10:09Speaker 1: name so many damn times. I get Sean spelling s
- 10:14Speaker 1: E a N s h a u n and then
- 10:17Speaker 1: you know Sean s h a w N. So I
- 10:20Speaker 1: mean that's the thing. Somebody has to be able to
- 10:23Speaker 1: go through it and make sure those words are all,
- 10:26Speaker 1: you know, sounding correctly.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Yeah, and something that we're learning about as we're doing
- 10:31Speaker 3: trying to do live sports. Oh yeah, with or live
- 10:34Speaker 3: PA reading is with the AI caption the cloud capturing
- 10:40Speaker 3: services that we're using, it doesn't handle inflection very well. Meaning, hey,
- 10:47Speaker 3: Hannah Hidogo just scored a three point great cool, we
- 10:50Speaker 3: all know what happened. We saw it happen. But the
- 10:52Speaker 3: PA announcer in venue is screaming, you know, and and
- 10:58Speaker 3: extending that three for and a half seconds, right, like
- 11:02Speaker 3: getting excited in the venue, you know, making it exciting
- 11:04Speaker 3: for the crowd. The capturing software doesn't know what to
- 11:07Speaker 3: do with that, right, so it just spits out a
- 11:10Speaker 3: couple of different words. It spits out the wrong thing.
- 11:12Speaker 3: It's kind of comical to see happen, but that's stuff
- 11:15Speaker 3: you can't You can't anticipate, you can't predict that.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, so.
- 11:20Speaker 3: A human capture clearly can understand the inflection, the tone,
- 11:25Speaker 3: the context. The AI capturing services can't.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I would love to though, for those that watch the video,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I would love to get your feedback, like, do you
- 11:34Speaker 1: want to see captions through the entire video or just
- 11:37Speaker 1: the shorts.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Or maybe let's see how many times it can spill
- 11:40Speaker 3: my name differently?
- 11:41Speaker 1: Yeah, what are we doing it. We'll do it, and
- 11:45Speaker 1: we just won't do any corrections at all. We'll just
- 11:48Speaker 1: see how well it picks it all up with our
- 11:50Speaker 1: accents and whatnot. Yeah, not good.
- 11:54Speaker 3: But in the world of AI, where people want it
- 11:56Speaker 3: now faster, you just have to live with a certain
- 11:59Speaker 3: level of error. Yeah, if you want it to be
- 12:03Speaker 3: AI or not, pay a human being to do it.
- 12:05Speaker 3: And even humans get wrong, like, oh yeah, humans don't
- 12:07Speaker 3: always know how to spell stuff. Humans always can't anticipate
- 12:10Speaker 3: inflection or a surprise or a change in script or
- 12:14Speaker 3: a change in show. It's six to one way, half
- 12:16Speaker 3: a dozen the other.
- 12:17Speaker 1: We even have people at the local TV stations that
- 12:20Speaker 1: sometimes on the you know, the the title that's on
- 12:24Speaker 1: the screen during a news story will still spell Tucson
- 12:28Speaker 1: Tuscan t us col. Oh yeah, yeah, I mean third
- 12:31Speaker 1: lower third.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Misspellings are very common in broadet look, especially local news.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Is that because it's so fast, it's like, oh, put
- 12:37Speaker 1: this one up.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Put it's usually just copied and pasted. So if it's
- 12:41Speaker 3: wrong once, it's interesting because if you notice it wrong once,
- 12:43Speaker 3: I think at the beginning of a show, it's likely
- 12:45Speaker 3: going to be wrong again later in the show. Oh great,
- 12:48Speaker 3: because they haven't gone through and changed the pace. Like
- 12:50Speaker 3: if they're just labeling Tucson or you know, whatever town
- 12:53Speaker 3: you're in and they misspell it, they're likely copying that
- 12:56Speaker 3: copy down the show or into the next hour of
- 12:59Speaker 3: the show, et cetera.
- 13:00Speaker 1: So wow, And we were speaking about not good. Obviously
- 13:05Speaker 1: it's not been good for Windows users. In the last week,
- 13:09Speaker 1: there was Tuesday, so patch Tuesday. For those who don't know,
- 13:13Speaker 1: Microsoft tends to send out patches for their operating system
- 13:17Speaker 1: on Tuesday. It's become known as patch Tuesday.
- 13:21Speaker 3: It's a second boroking business day. Everybody's in the office.
- 13:25Speaker 3: If you break something, you got you know, stop breaking
- 13:27Speaker 3: on the weekend, you know that.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Kind Yeah, it's a good thing. Here's the thing. If
- 13:31Speaker 1: you update your computers, don't ever update them on a Friday.
- 13:35Speaker 1: That's just it's just because if something goes down, you
- 13:39Speaker 1: can't reach somebody. The system could be down for the
- 13:43Speaker 1: entire weekend if that's the case. So somehow people have
- 13:47Speaker 1: learned never update on a Friday. So Tuesday, Patch Tuesday
- 13:51Speaker 1: came along. Patch Tuesday came out, though that didn't help
- 13:54Speaker 1: Microsoft because people started seeing weird things that were happening.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I actually got one of those. I went to reboot
- 14:03Speaker 1: the computer and it was a black screen and it
- 14:06Speaker 1: wasn't until I finally did a complete reboot and I
- 14:09Speaker 1: was able to get back to a screen. And it
- 14:11Speaker 1: was happening on two systems that I had done that on,
- 14:14Speaker 1: and I didn't understand it, And that was part of
- 14:16Speaker 1: the problem.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Some wasn't letting when the update wouldn't let people shut
- 14:21Speaker 3: down their computers. Yeah, you had you had to hardboot
- 14:24Speaker 3: them if you wanted to shut it down.
- 14:26Speaker 1: And people were really having all kinds of issues not
- 14:30Speaker 1: and it goes beyond that, you know, uh, not able
- 14:33Speaker 1: to connect the things. Uh, you know, stuff that was
- 14:35Speaker 1: working before suddenly wasn't working. So there was actually a
- 14:40Speaker 1: couple of articles that came out saying, all right, if
- 14:42Speaker 1: you ran this update, this patch Microsoft and you were
- 14:46Speaker 1: having issues, Microsoft was recommending to roll it back to actually,
- 14:50Speaker 1: you know, delete that that update, which then causes more
- 14:54Speaker 1: problems because people have to find it. They have to
- 14:56Speaker 1: you know, how do you how do you up Some
- 14:58Speaker 1: people don't know how do you update that? And then
- 15:01Speaker 1: within the next day they shoot another patch, but even
- 15:05Speaker 1: that patch had other ish so they put out one
- 15:09Speaker 1: patch and it causes two more problems. So at this
- 15:12Speaker 1: point it looks like it's been taken care of. But
- 15:15Speaker 1: that is something that a lot of Windows users were
- 15:18Speaker 1: facing this past week, and it was super frustrating for
- 15:22Speaker 1: a lot of people.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Yeah, and you're just stuck. I mean, once you do it,
- 15:26Speaker 3: or you know, you hit the button or you have
- 15:29Speaker 3: it schedule for automatic updates, you gotta be careful because
- 15:32Speaker 3: it could just roll you in and the next day
- 15:34Speaker 3: you wake up and you can't turn your computer off.
- 15:37Speaker 1: There's and there was also an update. I don't know
- 15:39Speaker 1: if you saw this. Microsoft Office also had a security patch,
- 15:44Speaker 1: a zero day exploit that was found. So some people
- 15:48Speaker 1: have never updated Office if they're running you know, three
- 15:51Speaker 1: sixty five, they just never chose to run the update.
- 15:54Speaker 1: So that was that was causing a lot of problems
- 15:58Speaker 1: and loss of productivity. So a lot of people were
- 16:01Speaker 1: very very vocal about it.
- 16:02Speaker 3: And it wasn't just Windows issues right that Microsoft Azure
- 16:07Speaker 3: they had a major outage. Entire Microsoft Suite was offline
- 16:11Speaker 3: for a good part of almost twenty four hours last week, so.
- 16:15Speaker 1: People couldn't access or email nothing.
- 16:18Speaker 3: So we're seeing this consistent once a month once every
- 16:22Speaker 3: two months of well maybe you just don't get a
- 16:25Speaker 3: days with the workout. So it's wild to think how
- 16:28Speaker 3: interconnecting everything is and how cloud based we are. You're
- 16:32Speaker 3: seeing a dangerous trend into everything being in the cloud,
- 16:35Speaker 3: and you have Jeff Bezos coming in and saying, well,
- 16:40Speaker 3: you're might not next you might not own your own
- 16:42Speaker 3: next computer. You might just rent it from us in
- 16:44Speaker 3: the cloud. And why know, Like, yeah, so I think
- 16:50Speaker 3: a lot of the goal of consumer computing is going
- 16:54Speaker 3: to be you just have a steam deck type or
- 16:58Speaker 3: stream deck or whatever. Yeah, of running a very slim
- 17:02Speaker 3: os that connects to the internet, and that's how you
- 17:08Speaker 3: You just have a display and that all the processing
- 17:10Speaker 3: happens in the cloud and you're you're stuck with processing
- 17:13Speaker 3: on the internet.
- 17:14Speaker 1: But again, that means subscriptions. So and I think, honestly,
- 17:18Speaker 1: I think people are getting tired because every time you
- 17:21Speaker 1: turn around, it's a new subscription, you know.
- 17:24Speaker 3: And you know, everybody thought Apple was immune to this, right,
- 17:28Speaker 3: but Apple decided to roll out a whole new thing
- 17:31Speaker 3: and I don't remember what it's called. It's a subscription
- 17:34Speaker 3: based platform for premium features.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Wow. So if you want to access that now, I
- 17:41Speaker 1: will say I was vocal about Adobe when they did that,
- 17:45Speaker 1: and I would upset that not only did they do that,
- 17:50Speaker 1: but they also pretty much bricked well they didn't brick it,
- 17:53Speaker 1: but basically you couldn't reinstall your you know, your previous
- 17:58Speaker 1: creative suites if you had them. I was able to
- 18:00Speaker 1: install actually Creative Suite four and did not have a
- 18:03Speaker 1: problem because the authentication wasn't there back then. It just
- 18:07Speaker 1: went ahead. I ended the serial memory and it was
- 18:08Speaker 1: good to go. But five and six those were the
- 18:12Speaker 1: big problems. But I will look at it now and
- 18:16Speaker 1: I will see all the things that they're now a
- 18:20Speaker 1: feature of in the new you know, Adobe Cloud, Creative
- 18:23Speaker 1: Cloud Pro, and I will say, okay, it's worth it.
- 18:27Speaker 1: And some people say, what are you talking about? You
- 18:29Speaker 1: know you can still use that. But the features that
- 18:32Speaker 1: you get now that are integrated, they work pretty good.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I did try something this week. I got to tell
- 18:37Speaker 1: you about it, Sean, you'll like this. So last week
- 18:41Speaker 1: we ran a best of show from June fifth of
- 18:45Speaker 1: last year, and it was a good show. But that's
- 18:48Speaker 1: before we had jumped on the riverside and we were
- 18:51Speaker 1: doing Zoo well, we were doing Zoom. Now, for those
- 18:54Speaker 1: who don't know, when you're recording with Zoom, if you're
- 18:57Speaker 1: not paying an exorbitant amount of money for the high
- 18:59Speaker 1: definition features of Zoom, you're getting less than seven twenty
- 19:04Speaker 1: p you're I mean, the quality is terrible.
- 19:06Speaker 3: It's like it's like three sixty by two forty.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really bad. So somebody told me, well, hey,
- 19:12Speaker 1: you got to you got to give it a shot
- 19:14Speaker 1: with after effects because after effects has the ability if
- 19:18Speaker 1: you have the suite from Adobe, you can go into
- 19:20Speaker 1: after effects, take that footage that was originally low quality
- 19:25Speaker 1: and bump it up and it will do a bit
- 19:28Speaker 1: by bit, you know, re reconstruction of it, the whole bit.
- 19:33Speaker 1: So what did I do? I decided to go ahead
- 19:35Speaker 1: and do it with that one hour long show. It
- 19:38Speaker 1: took fourteen hours to do, yeah, fourteen hours. But my
- 19:44Speaker 1: big mistake was that I used when we edited the show,
- 19:50Speaker 1: we went from that three twenty and I expanded the
- 19:53Speaker 1: screen to make it twelve eighty by seven twenty. So
- 19:56Speaker 1: it was already pixelated and looking really bad. So it
- 20:00Speaker 1: did no change from going from twelve eighty by seven
- 20:04Speaker 1: twenty to nineteen twenty, you know, by ten eighty. It
- 20:07Speaker 1: just it actually looked kind of worse. Fourteen hours for nothing,
- 20:10Speaker 1: fourteen hours for nothing. But I said, well, lesson learned.
- 20:13Speaker 1: So there's a lot of tools out there that your
- 20:15Speaker 1: new software, that the newer software that's coming onto the
- 20:18Speaker 1: market can offer for you. You may not be somebody who's
- 20:21Speaker 1: going to use it. You may not find any reason
- 20:24Speaker 1: to use the a W suite. But people have been
- 20:27Speaker 1: forced into Windows eleven. They don't, let's face it, they
- 20:31Speaker 1: were pretty much forced into it. Some people held out, Nope,
- 20:34Speaker 1: we're just going to keep using Windows ten. In Germany.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I don't know if you saw the story in Germany
- 20:39Speaker 1: that the majority of the people that live in Germany
- 20:42Speaker 1: have decided they're not going to Windows eleven. A lot
- 20:45Speaker 1: of them are staying with Windows ten and just sticking
- 20:48Speaker 1: with it that way.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Well, but they're part of the EU, with their with
- 20:51Speaker 3: their rights, so they get they got their extended support anyways, right,
- 20:56Speaker 3: So we're just over here not getting the benefits of
- 21:01Speaker 3: extended support.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know free when I'm wondering. So we've
- 21:06Speaker 1: kind of thought the nail in the coffin for Windows
- 21:10Speaker 1: just I know that's pretty pretty out there. But we
- 21:13Speaker 1: kind of thought that, And the adoption of Linux was
- 21:16Speaker 1: when suddenly Windows ten had no support and you were
- 21:19Speaker 1: gonna go to Windows eleven. Everybody was gonna have to go.
- 21:21Speaker 1: And then you had these computers that were really good
- 21:24Speaker 1: computers that couldn't run Windows eleven, and we kind of
- 21:29Speaker 1: thought people are gonna move to Linux and maybe start
- 21:32Speaker 1: experimenting with that. Do you think if we get to
- 21:35Speaker 1: a point where they start going, well, we're gonna start
- 21:37Speaker 1: charging a subscription for Windows, for Windows for Windows twelve.
- 21:42Speaker 3: I think a lot of people will be I'm done
- 21:45Speaker 3: if they charged me a subscription for Windows with the
- 21:48Speaker 3: next version Windows, right, I'm done. Yeah, if I can't
- 21:51Speaker 3: buy a copy of Pro for sixty bucks and I
- 21:55Speaker 3: have to pay a subscription to get premium features, and
- 21:57Speaker 3: I'm paywalled done not doing it. And a friend of
- 22:02Speaker 3: mine who is very adamant about not paying for anything
- 22:05Speaker 3: Windows related, plays a lot of games on Linux, and
- 22:10Speaker 3: we've talked about go og games. Gog is great old games.
- 22:14Speaker 3: They're a platform that has been updated installers for old games,
- 22:19Speaker 3: new games, et cetera. They're all DRM free. You get
- 22:22Speaker 3: these dollars. They released an article to a couple of
- 22:25Speaker 3: days ago, and they basically said, hey, guess what our
- 22:30Speaker 3: next major update is going to be Linux driven?
- 22:33Speaker 1: Oh wow, didn't they just they just got bought out
- 22:35Speaker 1: by somebody too, the original I guess the original CEO
- 22:38Speaker 1: of the company for GJ.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Yeah that The title of this article is Windows eleven
- 22:44Speaker 3: haters get excited as Gog says Linux is the next
- 22:46Speaker 3: major frontier forget their Galaxy client.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Is it too late for people to jump into the
- 22:51Speaker 1: Linux now?
- 22:52Speaker 3: No, It's never been easier for people to get into Linux.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Every pretty much every flavor of Linux, every distro of
- 22:57Speaker 3: Linux has a Windows as gooey. You can follow instructions
- 23:02Speaker 3: to say, make it look like Windows, make it feel
- 23:03Speaker 3: like Windows. Yes, there's gonna be a learning curve. Yes,
- 23:07Speaker 3: you might not like it, but if you're just using
- 23:10Speaker 3: it for the Internet and WordPad or just general email,
- 23:15Speaker 3: Linux is gonna be so much better.
- 23:17Speaker 1: What I would recommend is, if somebody has an old computer,
- 23:20Speaker 1: you know if they're not isn't or just old and right,
- 23:22Speaker 1: so experiment.
- 23:24Speaker 3: You know, if if your grandparents are getting rid of
- 23:26Speaker 3: their laptop because they said it can't be updated to
- 23:29Speaker 3: Windows eleven, put Linux on it. It's gonna be just
- 23:33Speaker 3: as good on Linux running a you know, because their
- 23:36Speaker 3: baseline for Windows eleven was really high.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Yeah, it was.
- 23:39Speaker 3: And there were a lot of machines that were like,
- 23:41Speaker 3: this should there's no way, there should be absolute and
- 23:44Speaker 3: a lot of people were upset because they're like, look,
- 23:46Speaker 3: I have a I five ninth gen. Yeah, and it
- 23:50Speaker 3: can't run Windows eleven. Give you a break, Yeah, exactly,
- 23:54Speaker 3: but it'll run circles around somebody running Windows running Linux.
- 24:00Speaker 1: I ran Linux Bent twenty two on an old Dell
- 24:04Speaker 1: laptop that was previously running Windows XP and it ran great.
- 24:08Speaker 1: It was fine. Problems, same thing, same thing.
- 24:11Speaker 3: For MacBooks, yeah, or Max. You can put Linux on those.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Mac is notorious for outdating their hardware pretty quickly, a
- 24:19Speaker 3: lot faster than Windows actually, and you can run Linux
- 24:23Speaker 3: on a lot of those machines, which is great because
- 24:26Speaker 3: Linux is keeping old hardware alive. And with the cost
- 24:29Speaker 3: and the price of everything and the way that the
- 24:32Speaker 3: consumer computer industry is going right now, especially if it's
- 24:35Speaker 3: going all cloud based, hold on to your old hardware
- 24:38Speaker 3: because it might be worth something. It might be better
- 24:41Speaker 3: than what you're going to be able to get available
- 24:43Speaker 3: to you that you own in the next six to
- 24:47Speaker 3: eight years.
- 24:48Speaker 1: All right, we can take a quick break. We come back.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Listen to question about editing video on your smartphone. We'll
- 24:54Speaker 1: talk about that with more of tech talk Radio. I'm
- 24:56Speaker 1: Andy Taylor, I'm Shida Word.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Listen to our platform in the Cloudpotify, Apple Music, wherever
- 25:01Speaker 3: you get your podcasts. Give us a leg a subscribe.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Now back to tech talk Radio.
- 25:07Speaker 2: My problem is I've got my pointer in the middle
- 25:10Speaker 2: of the screen and I need to move it to
- 25:12Speaker 2: the left, but my mouth is over on the left
- 25:15Speaker 2: hand side of the pad, and if I go any
- 25:19Speaker 2: further to the left, it's going to go off the pad. Anyways,
- 25:22Speaker 2: you can give me a call. I appreciate it. I'll
- 25:24Speaker 2: wait till you until I hear from you.
- 25:29Speaker 3: So during the break, I switched over to the dg
- 25:32Speaker 3: I Mini mic, which is on my magnet mounted to
- 25:35Speaker 3: my hoodie, and you could probably hear it. Right, if
- 25:38Speaker 3: you're listening to the show and you just came back
- 25:39Speaker 3: from the commercial break, you could probably hear a difference,
- 25:42Speaker 3: which is cool. I mean, it's it is what it is, right.
- 25:45Speaker 3: I don't have any EQ I can't add bass. I
- 25:48Speaker 3: can't you know, so it's gonna sound like this until
- 25:51Speaker 3: the end of the next break, but I wanted to
- 25:53Speaker 3: try it. It sounds and he says, it sounds.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, it sounds like a love like they call
- 26:00Speaker 1: them Lovs Lavalier Mike when somebody is doing you know,
- 26:03Speaker 1: a TV reporting from on the street, and that's how
- 26:06Speaker 1: it's It definitely sounds like that, and that's from DJI.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Right, yeah, the DJI Mike Mini.
- 26:12Speaker 1: All right, cool, all right, Well, speaking of video, we
- 26:14Speaker 1: got a listener question and from Carol in Tucson said,
- 26:17Speaker 1: I have a lot of videos on my pixel. I
- 26:19Speaker 1: got a pixel too, said uh, and I've been wanting
- 26:22Speaker 1: to edit and put them together. I know I could
- 26:25Speaker 1: transfer the footage to my computer, however, I want to
- 26:27Speaker 1: try editing together on the phone. Can you recommend a
- 26:32Speaker 1: free or inexpensive program that could work? Thank you. I
- 26:37Speaker 1: actually have a good suggestion because I've used it and
- 26:40Speaker 1: there's I mean, capcut had some issues this week as well,
- 26:44Speaker 1: and I think they changed their pricing structure for certain things.
- 26:48Speaker 1: If you used cap cut to do any editing, and
- 26:51Speaker 1: that's one a lot of people recommended right off the bat.
- 26:53Speaker 1: But honestly, I will tell you YouTube creators. Y T Create,
- 26:59Speaker 1: a HYT create or YouTube create is so easy to do.
- 27:05Speaker 1: You could do it with your smartphone. There may be
- 27:07Speaker 1: a little bit of a learning curve. You could generate video.
- 27:11Speaker 1: So if you want to generate something that you need
- 27:13Speaker 1: in that space, use templates. You could create a project
- 27:17Speaker 1: and then you can export them and they don't automatically
- 27:21Speaker 1: go on to YouTube, so you could save them to
- 27:23Speaker 1: your device and then you could share them wherever you want.
- 27:26Speaker 1: And that's a that's a free program YouTube Create.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Yeah. Unfortunately I don't know Android, so for those of
- 27:33Speaker 3: you listen, this would be a good question for justin
- 27:35Speaker 3: to be honest, But I had heard rumored that there
- 27:37Speaker 3: was gonna be a da Vinci Resolve Android app at
- 27:40Speaker 3: some point.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I've heard that two.
- 27:41Speaker 3: That is that is completely false.
- 27:42Speaker 1: That is that's really uh what a shame. Yeah, but
- 27:46Speaker 1: I'm sure.
- 27:46Speaker 3: There's a gazillion video and photo editing softwares out there,
- 27:50Speaker 3: but they're all probably cheap and don't have features. And
- 27:54Speaker 3: but the ones that I'm familiar with, like you said,
- 27:56Speaker 3: are the cap Go and then the YouTube Create. Those
- 27:59Speaker 3: are the only two that I'm from. Only with that
- 28:00Speaker 3: you said. Other than that, I'm I'm I'm not the
- 28:02Speaker 3: person they asked this question too.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I'll be honest with you. When I was in the
- 28:06Speaker 1: Apple I still have an iPhone. What I loved was
- 28:10Speaker 1: the the video editing program that was on there. We
- 28:13Speaker 1: could do used to do. I used to do a
- 28:14Speaker 1: thing called the tech Blast, which might even get back
- 28:18Speaker 1: into that again. It's so easy to edit with that,
- 28:20Speaker 1: and that was part of the you know, Apple interface,
- 28:24Speaker 1: and you got that free came with the phone, and
- 28:26Speaker 1: I don't know if it's still available, but yeah, it
- 28:29Speaker 1: reminded me a little of Final Cut, but yet it
- 28:32Speaker 1: was just super easy to use and the quality on
- 28:35Speaker 1: it was great. So you know, that's but you're if
- 28:39Speaker 1: you're in an Android situation, I would honestly say try
- 28:42Speaker 1: YouTube Create. And again they had some issues with cap cuts.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I don't know if that's one that you want to use.
- 28:48Speaker 1: There's some other ones that were that were out there
- 28:50Speaker 1: that a lot of people were, you know, kind of
- 28:52Speaker 1: commenting and mentioning. Adobe used to have their program that
- 28:57Speaker 1: you could use on your your Android device and then
- 29:00Speaker 1: they pulled it.
- 29:01Speaker 3: It was Asobe Rush.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Yeah, Adobe Rush, and they're saying that they're going to
- 29:05Speaker 1: be coming out with something new, hopefully this year that
- 29:08Speaker 1: people will be able to use. So we'll just have
- 29:10Speaker 1: to cross our fingers on that one. But in the
- 29:12Speaker 1: meantime that would be a good one to get started.
- 29:15Speaker 1: So hopefully that helped Carol. Here's another question we got
- 29:19Speaker 1: from Alan in Tucson, and I didn't ask why, but
- 29:24Speaker 1: he wrote he said he wanted to format a USB
- 29:26Speaker 1: drive FAT thirty two. Now, if you wonder what that means,
- 29:30Speaker 1: that means file allocation table thirty two and wondered what
- 29:35Speaker 1: is the best way to do it. Honestly, I don't
- 29:37Speaker 1: know what you're thinking of my stick of rufus.
- 29:38Speaker 3: The best way to format it.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Yeah, to get it formatted to two.
- 29:43Speaker 3: So loaded question what operates system are using? Mac? Linux? Windows?
- 29:48Speaker 3: There's difference. There's a difference. So to format it in Windows,
- 29:52Speaker 3: right you just you can just plug it in, let
- 29:55Speaker 3: it recognize the device, right click, right click it in
- 29:59Speaker 3: the file explorer, click format, and then it props up
- 30:03Speaker 3: in a dialogue window that you can then pick FAT
- 30:05Speaker 3: thirty two. You can change your volume size, et cetera.
- 30:07Speaker 3: And then Linux is very similar, a little bit more
- 30:10Speaker 3: command line if you're interested in doing that. Some of
- 30:13Speaker 3: the guys can do it on Mac. You use the
- 30:15Speaker 3: disc utility to do it. That's in that's in your
- 30:18Speaker 3: applications folder and utilities and you can do you can
- 30:22Speaker 3: do FAT thirty two. They're also and yeah, so it's
- 30:27Speaker 3: relatively easy. You know, just a reminder. It will erase
- 30:30Speaker 3: all of your data.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Yeah, so on that drive drive on it.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know, don't confuse it with partitioning. If
- 30:37Speaker 3: you want to partition something to have two separate volumes,
- 30:40Speaker 3: et cetera. Just be careful deleting partitions. And it's not
- 30:46Speaker 3: easy to get data back, so just be careful. But
- 30:49Speaker 3: all right, it's it's relatively straightforward to format a drive
- 30:52Speaker 3: on Windows Mac analytics.
- 30:54Speaker 1: I saw an article we're talking about USB drives on
- 30:58Speaker 1: how to Geek and and you know, I'm not sure
- 31:02Speaker 1: about this, but they're telling people in this article that
- 31:05Speaker 1: was written by Errol Wright that you should stop buying
- 31:08Speaker 1: USB sticks. You know, you go in the store and
- 31:11Speaker 1: you see, you know, on the shelf right there there's
- 31:13Speaker 1: USB drives too, you know, two gigabytes, one terabyte, five
- 31:18Speaker 1: hundred and fifty gigaby whatever. He's saying, stop buying USB sticks.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Get an M two SSD in a fifteen dollar case.
- 31:26Speaker 1: They're saying it. He says, it's infinitely better. He said,
- 31:30Speaker 1: the ten years ago, thumb drives were commonplace. Everywhere you
- 31:33Speaker 1: carried a run, you carried a slick from the show,
- 31:37Speaker 1: used to wear a neck like a like a ribbon
- 31:40Speaker 1: around his neck, and there was nothing but flash drives
- 31:42Speaker 1: on it. It was It was actually pretty funny. But
- 31:46Speaker 1: the thing is that things have changed. And they say,
- 31:48Speaker 1: and he goes on to say, the thumb drive is dead.
- 31:51Speaker 1: There's no no good reason buy one anymore. I ended
- 31:55Speaker 1: up doing exactly what he was talking about some time ago.
- 32:00Speaker 1: This is a Cebrent USB case and I don't have
- 32:04Speaker 1: it screwed down, but inside I've got an M two.
- 32:07Speaker 1: So if I want to use this as an external
- 32:11Speaker 1: I can do that. I can store generally more data
- 32:14Speaker 1: and it's going to be faster, but again, gonna have
- 32:16Speaker 1: USBC drive on it. So's that's one positive thing. One
- 32:22Speaker 1: of the comments though I kind of agreed with as well.
- 32:26Speaker 1: He said, I wish authors didn't write such hyperbole. I
- 32:30Speaker 1: can offer several reasons disposable. Losing a thumb drive is
- 32:34Speaker 1: not as heartbreaking as losing an M to drive always
- 32:37Speaker 1: got a point there. Yeah, and especially the housing. This
- 32:41Speaker 1: was not fifteen bucks. The housing from Cebrin, which is
- 32:45Speaker 1: hard metal case, this was I think it was around
- 32:48Speaker 1: sixty five bucks, right, he said, Let's see, unless you
- 32:54Speaker 1: have a particularly durable USB thumb drive, which I like
- 32:57Speaker 1: the lock drives. Those are nice to securely store your
- 33:00Speaker 1: private files. USB thumb drives are useful otherwise in so
- 33:04Speaker 1: many ways. They're bootable OS installers or recovery drives. If
- 33:10Speaker 1: you want to flash a two terrorbyte M two just
- 33:13Speaker 1: for this, maybe not so, Yeah, he was wasn't too
- 33:16Speaker 1: happy with that, that suggestion. I don't know what your thoughts.
- 33:20Speaker 1: What You've got something right there too?
- 33:23Speaker 3: Oh no, so I agree. I like USB drives, but yeah,
- 33:26Speaker 3: I was. So everything you're saying is great. I agree
- 33:30Speaker 3: with everying you've been saying. I'm gonna caveats a little
- 33:33Speaker 3: bit and call I call this by storage from my storage.
- 33:36Speaker 1: What is that?
- 33:38Speaker 3: So the easiest way that I found to keep USB
- 33:41Speaker 3: drives organized is a pharmacy bottle.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Oh look at that?
- 33:45Speaker 3: Oh wow, So I've got six US drives in there.
- 33:48Speaker 3: They fit. I can toss them, I can toss them
- 33:51Speaker 3: into a drawer. And they stay all together.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Do you label them so you know what's on them?
- 33:57Speaker 1: Or do you have to do do you have to
- 33:59Speaker 1: do the the USB shuffle?
- 34:01Speaker 3: Sometimes these ones are not labeled. I have another one.
- 34:04Speaker 3: I have a bunch of USB drives, But yeah, I do.
- 34:06Speaker 3: I do typically purpose purpose drive my usps. I typically
- 34:10Speaker 3: have I at least have a Windows installer right now,
- 34:14Speaker 3: a Mac os installer for multiple versions based on which
- 34:17Speaker 3: Mac I have, which Mac I'm working on, and then
- 34:20Speaker 3: analytics something with rufous on it, something with my akronas. Yeah,
- 34:28Speaker 3: go Acronus boot drive on one of those, so I
- 34:31Speaker 3: can recover a disc if I need to.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I think. I think some drives have their place.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Thumb drives have their places.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Absolutely have their place. And when you don't have one, you're.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Mad about it exactly.
- 34:44Speaker 3: And it's so this is where it gets tricky, right,
- 34:46Speaker 3: because it's like you don't have one of your own.
- 34:49Speaker 3: So what do you do? You say, Hey, does that
- 34:51Speaker 3: we have a flash drive I can use? Right, And
- 34:54Speaker 3: that's not the most safe thing to do. No going
- 34:57Speaker 3: at bowering to flash drive some morehere you don't know
- 34:59Speaker 3: where it's been. Somebody who may have pulled it into
- 35:01Speaker 3: their personal computer doing who knows what where on the Internet,
- 35:05Speaker 3: and then you get it and it's like, oh, I've
- 35:09Speaker 3: got to move this three gig file and their thumb drives.
- 35:12Speaker 1: One gig right exactly. Oh yeah, I've done that before.
- 35:16Speaker 1: You try to move a big file over and it's
- 35:18Speaker 1: like you need more space.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Yeah, you get to a point where it's like you
- 35:21Speaker 3: need a specific size and you can only find like
- 35:25Speaker 3: an eight gig thumb drive instead of a sixteen or
- 35:28Speaker 3: you know. It's one of those things. And you know,
- 35:31Speaker 3: in my time in the broadcast world, I've I have
- 35:36Speaker 3: very I have a handful of USB drives that are
- 35:38Speaker 3: labeled and set aside specifically for working on specific pieces
- 35:44Speaker 3: of equipment because of the drivers that are installed on
- 35:48Speaker 3: that mother you know, the drivers that are installed on
- 35:51Speaker 3: that bios so whatever. Don't like every version of USB drivers.
- 35:56Speaker 3: So finding a USB is like a needle the haystack
- 36:00Speaker 3: sometimes for certain pieces of equipment. So I've got them labeled,
- 36:04Speaker 3: They're stuffed away on the shelf so that when I
- 36:06Speaker 3: know I need to update firmware on our retal comms panels,
- 36:10Speaker 3: I know I can go get this one specific flash drive.
- 36:12Speaker 3: It's gonna work. Otherwise, I go get a flash drive
- 36:15Speaker 3: from my desk, I format it, it doesn't work, I
- 36:17Speaker 3: get mad about it, hunt down the one I know
- 36:19Speaker 3: is gonna work.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Shouldn't there be shouldn't there be redundancy? Though? Sean with
- 36:24Speaker 1: flash drives, I'm kind of like, I have a flash
- 36:28Speaker 1: drive that's a duplicate of a flash drive, and I
- 36:31Speaker 1: store it away just to get.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Like I feel like, yeah, you can do that. It's
- 36:38Speaker 3: not the end of the world to do that. But
- 36:40Speaker 3: you're you're rust risking. You know, the you know you're
- 36:46Speaker 3: gonna lose it or something it broken, right, So I
- 36:49Speaker 3: wouldn't rely on it as a secure backup. But if
- 36:53Speaker 3: you need it for like a temporary backup, or you
- 36:55Speaker 3: want to ship it to somebody or something, that's definitely
- 36:59Speaker 3: an easy way to do it.
- 37:00Speaker 1: But if you ever get a flash drive in the
- 37:02Speaker 1: mail and you don't know who it's from, don't don't
- 37:04Speaker 1: plug it in. Don't plug it in. No, don't plug
- 37:06Speaker 1: it in.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, you hear horror stories about people that
- 37:11Speaker 3: have built uspeed that have high voltage capacitors in them.
- 37:15Speaker 3: They are loaded as soon as you plug it in,
- 37:17Speaker 3: fries your system. With Yeah, the fries, the five old
- 37:20Speaker 3: boss on your system.
- 37:21Speaker 1: That's not good. No, all right, well listen, we got
- 37:24Speaker 1: to take another quick break. We come back. I've got
- 37:26Speaker 1: something to show you that's kind of cool. I'm gonna
- 37:31Speaker 1: delve into this on television on Monday, but this I
- 37:33Speaker 1: have this weekend to kind of play round with it
- 37:35Speaker 1: and get to learn it. And it's something that I
- 37:37Speaker 1: think if you have kids or you're trying to be
- 37:39Speaker 1: a little more active, you may want to take a
- 37:42Speaker 1: look at. We'll come back with more of tech Talk Radio.
- 37:44Speaker 1: I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Seanda Weird.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Comment on our videos on YouTube, give us a listen,
- 37:50Speaker 3: give us a watch, and we'll answer your questions on.
- 37:52Speaker 1: The air, and now back to tech Talk Radio for
- 37:56Speaker 1: this past twenty twenty five. When it comes to the
- 37:59Speaker 1: console wars, there's I mean, there's been a battle going
- 38:04Speaker 1: back and forth, back and forth. You got yourself, Sean
- 38:07Speaker 1: a console that replicated you know, your N sixty four experience,
- 38:13Speaker 1: and you're pretty happy with it. And from what I understand,
- 38:15Speaker 1: they've been selling a lot of those.
- 38:17Speaker 3: Yeah, so the analog three D has been very popular.
- 38:21Speaker 3: It's analog has made this isn't the first device they've made, right,
- 38:25Speaker 3: they made an original Nintendo remake. They made it what
- 38:29Speaker 3: they called Analog Pocket, which could play game Boy, game
- 38:31Speaker 3: Boy Advance, all sorts of game Boy games. And then
- 38:35Speaker 3: they did a Super Nintendo also that played nes or
- 38:39Speaker 3: Superintendo games. And then this was about two years ago now,
- 38:43Speaker 3: maybe less than they now say, we're making a sixty four.
- 38:47Speaker 3: And the sixty four was a console that I played
- 38:51Speaker 3: a little bit growing up, Right, I didn't play it
- 38:53Speaker 3: a lot, but it was one of those ones that
- 38:55Speaker 3: I played a lot at my cousin's house. Yeah, so
- 38:58Speaker 3: I never really got to experience a lot of the
- 39:00Speaker 3: game's firsthand because we had a PlayStation at home. So
- 39:03Speaker 3: I played a lot of the PlayStation titles growing up,
- 39:05Speaker 3: kept going through playing more PlayStation, you know, stayed on
- 39:08Speaker 3: the PlayStation Bandwagen for a long time. But yeah, the
- 39:12Speaker 3: Analog three D has been great, and I think it
- 39:15Speaker 3: came at the perfect time where the digital gaming world
- 39:19Speaker 3: is so tumultuous.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Right, it's full of micro transactions, it's full of incomplete games,
- 39:26Speaker 3: it's full of it's full of action adventure RPGs that
- 39:30Speaker 3: are more just breadcrumb grames where you file the bread
- 39:34Speaker 3: crumbs and you get the story where you actually have
- 39:39Speaker 3: like Operative Time and a couple other games in the end,
- 39:42Speaker 3: the sixty four World that were action adventure games where
- 39:48Speaker 3: you had to adventure to make the game work. You
- 39:52Speaker 3: actually had to work for it. You had to learn,
- 39:53Speaker 3: you had to talk, you had to investigate, you had
- 39:55Speaker 3: to experience, you had to trial and error some things,
- 39:58Speaker 3: and it's it's been a pleasant experience. It's been a
- 40:02Speaker 3: get back to the roots of gaming experience for me
- 40:06Speaker 3: because I never I never completed Operative Time as a kid, really,
- 40:09Speaker 3: so I'm trying to get through it as a as
- 40:12Speaker 3: an almost forty year old, and I'm having probably the
- 40:15Speaker 3: best gaming experience I've had in the last decade.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Right right, so you know, I mean they keep putting
- 40:22Speaker 1: out consoles though you know, PlayStation, Xbox and a Microsoft
- 40:26Speaker 1: put out there is then you got the handhelds, which
- 40:28Speaker 1: are pretty popular. One of the and I've I've had
- 40:32Speaker 1: consoles all the way back to in television. Do you
- 40:34Speaker 1: remember that one from Mittel And then you had Dreams
- 40:37Speaker 1: the Dreamcast, which was a lot of fun at a burglary,
- 40:40Speaker 1: and they stole all my games in the in the
- 40:42Speaker 1: console itself, but one that we really liked was the
- 40:47Speaker 1: Nintendo Wii. And you know, I told you I found
- 40:50Speaker 1: the We got it all set up, and the thing
- 40:53Speaker 1: is I can only find like one or two games
- 40:55Speaker 1: on it, and I don't have the nunchuck controller for
- 40:59Speaker 1: it to be able to do that. There is even
- 41:02Speaker 1: though the top seller for twenty twenty five when it
- 41:05Speaker 1: comes to the consoles was a Nintendo with a switch
- 41:08Speaker 1: to they outpaced PlayStation, they outpaced Microsoft. But there's another
- 41:16Speaker 1: one that is doing really well. And Variety magazine even
- 41:19Speaker 1: wrote an article about it. They said, from Bluey to Barbie,
- 41:22Speaker 1: how this company is landing top kids ip for its
- 41:26Speaker 1: family fitness centric gaming console. And this is called the
- 41:31Speaker 1: Next Playground. That's an ex playground. And what it is.
- 41:36Speaker 1: It's a cube, right, It's got a camera on it.
- 41:40Speaker 1: It's a high definition camera and on the back you
- 41:44Speaker 1: could plug it very simple HGMI your power plugs into
- 41:49Speaker 1: your television and with the games that are part of
- 41:53Speaker 1: the Next Playground, it comes with five games. Do you
- 41:56Speaker 1: remember Fruit and Ninja?
- 41:58Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, I'm looking at the list of games
- 42:00Speaker 3: right now.
- 42:01Speaker 1: All right, comes with a five. But they also have
- 42:03Speaker 1: a playground, so you can get more games, you know,
- 42:07Speaker 1: and they're talking about more games coming out for this
- 42:09Speaker 1: because people are really liking it. So it's it's creating
- 42:13Speaker 1: an experience. And it's very small so it doesn't take
- 42:16Speaker 1: up you know, don't have a sensor bar on top
- 42:18Speaker 1: of your television. You could cover. It comes with a
- 42:21Speaker 1: magnetic cover so you can cover the lens when you
- 42:24Speaker 1: just want to watch TV and you don't want to
- 42:25Speaker 1: put this thing away. But it works by the camera
- 42:30Speaker 1: on It looks at you the person and say, I
- 42:32Speaker 1: want to play Fruit Ninja, right, and that's where you
- 42:35Speaker 1: slice the fruit. You could do that on the PC
- 42:38Speaker 1: with that game, but in this one you move your hands,
- 42:42Speaker 1: so you move in your hands to do the movements.
- 42:45Speaker 1: They've got a basketball one that's going to be coming
- 42:46Speaker 1: out from what I understand, so you take the shot.
- 42:50Speaker 1: They have tennis, bowling. They have other games as well
- 42:54Speaker 1: that maybe are not as physical, but the whole idea is,
- 42:57Speaker 1: you know, it's a it's a physical game.
- 43:00Speaker 3: It kind of looks like VR without the extra steps.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Exactly, and people have said it's really an ar but yeah,
- 43:07Speaker 1: people have said good things about it. It sells for
- 43:09Speaker 1: about two hundred and fifty bucks. The company sent it
- 43:12Speaker 1: over to me to look at and play around with.
- 43:14Speaker 1: I got the weekend and then I got to send
- 43:16Speaker 1: it back. But I'll tell you what, I'm maybe I'll
- 43:19Speaker 1: be skinnier on next Monday or Tuesday because I'm gonna
- 43:22Speaker 1: get in a lot of physical activity doing the slicing
- 43:26Speaker 1: and the jumping and the golf swings and the whole bit.
- 43:28Speaker 1: But if you have kids, and I know you do,
- 43:30Speaker 1: Sean too, this might be something that'll get them off
- 43:33Speaker 1: the tablets, get them off the little you know, handheld console,
- 43:38Speaker 1: and be in front of the TV and see themselves,
- 43:40Speaker 1: you know, playing the game. And that's that's I think
- 43:43Speaker 1: what makes it fun.
- 43:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be an interesting next couple of years
- 43:47Speaker 3: for me deciding on how we handle, yeah, exposure to
- 43:53Speaker 3: the gaming world for our children.
- 43:55Speaker 1: The hardest I think that I don't know about you,
- 43:57Speaker 1: but the hardest thing for me with my grandson right
- 43:59Speaker 1: now is creating that limit on the screen time, the
- 44:03Speaker 1: tablet time, you know, because if they're not watching the television,
- 44:10Speaker 1: and I have found that by getting him and switching
- 44:14Speaker 1: off a YouTube and watch it, having I put it
- 44:16Speaker 1: on PBS. PBS kids at least it's educational. And the
- 44:20Speaker 1: other day he was watching it and he was adding
- 44:22Speaker 1: along with the characters, and I thought, okay, that's good.
- 44:25Speaker 1: But it's hard to get him off the tablet. And
- 44:29Speaker 1: it's finding that that that equal time to say, okay,
- 44:35Speaker 1: let's play on the tablet now, or let's do this now,
- 44:38Speaker 1: let's practice reading, let's practice math. That's the hard time
- 44:41Speaker 1: that parents have to deal with. Now.
- 44:44Speaker 3: It's it's definitely come to the forefront of my mind.
- 44:47Speaker 3: And Max is just old enough that he's starting to
- 44:50Speaker 3: get an interest in that type of stuff and he
- 44:53Speaker 3: wants to do more with my computers, and he wants
- 44:56Speaker 3: to do more with video games, and he you know,
- 44:58Speaker 3: he can drive, he can play Mario Kart a little
- 45:01Speaker 3: bit now. So it's like, it's interesting, we're just about
- 45:03Speaker 3: to that threshold where it's going to become a more
- 45:05Speaker 3: consistent thing.
- 45:06Speaker 1: And it's tough.
- 45:08Speaker 3: It's not an easy it's not an easy thing to
- 45:10Speaker 3: think about, and it's not going to be easy for
- 45:13Speaker 3: the future because it's so drastically different from I mean,
- 45:19Speaker 3: even from when I was a kid versus you know,
- 45:23Speaker 3: when now, you know, twenty, you know, forty years later,
- 45:28Speaker 3: Max is about to be four years old. I look
- 45:32Speaker 3: back to think, what did I have in nineteen ninety?
- 45:34Speaker 1: Yeah, what did I have in nineteen seventy? And nothing?
- 45:38Speaker 3: Right? Yeah?
- 45:39Speaker 1: No.
- 45:39Speaker 3: So it's like it's just it's so wild to think about, right,
- 45:42Speaker 3: how that's going to impact him developmentally in terms of
- 45:49Speaker 3: things that he wants to do, hobbies, interests, et cetera.
- 45:52Speaker 1: So are here something we're talking about?
- 45:54Speaker 3: Games?
- 45:55Speaker 1: Right? I don't know if you saw the comments from
- 45:57Speaker 1: Marcus Prison they call it not who is the creator
- 46:01Speaker 1: of Minecraft? Which huge game? Huge game for all ages?
- 46:05Speaker 1: Really And he made a comment saying he's disappointed with
- 46:10Speaker 1: the gaming world. He says, if buying a game is
- 46:12Speaker 1: not a purchase, then pirrating them is not theft. Digital
- 46:18Speaker 1: licenses leave players without true ownership of what they pay for.
- 46:22Speaker 3: That is not just the gaming world, it's the everything
- 46:25Speaker 3: world right now.
- 46:27Speaker 1: It's many movies, music, not even that.
- 46:30Speaker 3: It's no creeping into the physical world. Right You can
- 46:34Speaker 3: buy different upgrades for your cars. To get upgraded satellite
- 46:39Speaker 3: for your.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Car or upgrade navigation.
- 46:41Speaker 3: You use the use the update to use the app
- 46:45Speaker 3: to unlock your car, use the app to roll down
- 46:47Speaker 3: your windows, use the digital keyfob right all this stuff,
- 46:52Speaker 3: but that it's all licensed, that can all go away,
- 46:56Speaker 3: and it's like it's just digital ass sets are ridiculous.
- 47:02Speaker 1: You know, you just you just went to through a
- 47:05Speaker 1: pretty bad storm. Of course, you know, I was keeping
- 47:08Speaker 1: an eye on that. I know, Justin was is in
- 47:12Speaker 1: Denver and it was crazy because I said, Okay, how
- 47:15Speaker 1: is it there? And it was fifty four here and
- 47:18Speaker 1: he said it's minus four And then I said, Sean,
- 47:22Speaker 1: how about you minus five? But with tonight's wind child
- 47:26Speaker 1: it was supposed to supposedly getting down to minus forty.
- 47:30Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, whatever, Yeah, we had it. It's been cold.
- 47:36Speaker 1: It's been I mean, you're not sugar coating yet. Yeah,
- 47:39Speaker 1: it's ten right, grease right now, ten degrees.
- 47:42Speaker 3: It was negative two this morning, right, But the last
- 47:47Speaker 3: couple of days it's been forty one hour winds, which
- 47:50Speaker 3: drops the wind chill if it's zero, drops the windchild
- 47:52Speaker 3: to like sixty below zero.
- 47:53Speaker 1: Oh man, lord wow.
- 47:55Speaker 3: So if it feels like temperature is absurd, and yeah
- 48:01Speaker 3: it's cool, I mean a two minute walk outside and
- 48:04Speaker 3: your mustache and your beard or FROs from the moisture
- 48:07Speaker 3: from your mouth.
- 48:08Speaker 1: But you see, see the thing is Sean These are
- 48:11Speaker 1: the wake up calls for people because when the power
- 48:14Speaker 1: grid gets affected or they're not able to connect via
- 48:18Speaker 1: the internet because let's face it, the weather will affect
- 48:20Speaker 1: that stuff, they suddenly find that they have to rely
- 48:24Speaker 1: on physical media and they don't have physical media anymore.
- 48:28Speaker 1: You know, I was watching I was following that along
- 48:31Speaker 1: and seeing people that were posting they found an old
- 48:33Speaker 1: VCR with some old tapes and they were trying to
- 48:35Speaker 1: watch those. You know, they found DVDs and they were
- 48:39Speaker 1: trying to put those in. Because we get Netflix everything,
- 48:43Speaker 1: Hulu everything, you know, Paramount plus Apple Prime. That's how
- 48:49Speaker 1: we expect our content. When the Internet goes down, that
- 48:51Speaker 1: you're out of luck.
- 48:53Speaker 3: Well, so that's why I have You can kind of
- 48:56Speaker 3: see some of it back here because I move my desk,
- 48:58Speaker 3: but I have a shelf of all my some some
- 49:00Speaker 3: of my blue rays and DVDs that are there. Those
- 49:01Speaker 3: are all digitized. Great, So I you know, I've got
- 49:06Speaker 3: a lot of my content on my plex server. But
- 49:08Speaker 3: I also have the Pie, the pie, the Raspberry Pie
- 49:13Speaker 3: that I built for when we travel, that has a
- 49:16Speaker 3: two terribied hard drive attached to it that I can
- 49:19Speaker 3: I So I have the resmera pie, a TP link
- 49:22Speaker 3: nano router, so I can plug the pie into that.
- 49:24Speaker 3: Oh and then I can connect my iPad to it
- 49:27Speaker 3: and straight basically run my own little miniplex server on
- 49:29Speaker 3: the road. So I connect that to a twelve olt
- 49:34Speaker 3: car battery with an inverter, and I have my own
- 49:37Speaker 3: PLEX server at home.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Oh cool, nice, that makes it nice.
- 49:41Speaker 3: You can't I'm not going to run my my PLEX
- 49:44Speaker 3: tower that I have. It's going to be too much
- 49:45Speaker 3: power draw.
- 49:46Speaker 1: But but the average person doesn't know that. They just suddenly, oh,
- 49:50Speaker 1: you know, I sold on the DVDs at the you know,
- 49:53Speaker 1: the Goodwill or the White Elephant or wherever, and I
- 49:56Speaker 1: just took them there donated, and then then they have
- 49:58Speaker 1: nothing and they're is there's.
- 50:00Speaker 3: There's a few stages of it, right, because you don't
- 50:03Speaker 3: you lose your innet. So what's the first thing you
- 50:05Speaker 3: do to try and watch come more content?
- 50:08Speaker 1: Your phone?
- 50:08Speaker 3: Go to your phone? Right, Okay, Well, then you hospite
- 50:10Speaker 3: your phone to four devices. We now your phone's eating
- 50:13Speaker 3: up all the band with your batteries training really fast.
- 50:16Speaker 3: But then everybody else in the neighborhood has to do
- 50:19Speaker 3: the same thing. And now you're all on the cell
- 50:21Speaker 3: phone and then the bandwidth gets sucked up. What a
- 50:24Speaker 3: lot of people don't realize too, is if you have
- 50:28Speaker 3: if you have cable or you have fiber internet, you
- 50:33Speaker 3: can still get internet when there's power outages. So if
- 50:36Speaker 3: you have the way to power your motem and your TV,
- 50:42Speaker 3: you could still get internet. So like when we had
- 50:44Speaker 3: our most recent we had a power outers maybe three
- 50:47Speaker 3: or four months ago for a day, Well, I just
- 50:50Speaker 3: used my DJA Power one thousand and plugged my TV
- 50:54Speaker 3: and my router into it.
- 50:56Speaker 1: That could be a good reason to have one of those.
- 50:57Speaker 1: How much of those things going.
- 50:59Speaker 3: For all the on sale right now for three fifty nine,
- 51:01Speaker 3: So if you want to get it cheaper than I
- 51:03Speaker 3: got it, get on there and get it. It's ridiculous.
- 51:07Speaker 1: We got to take another break. We come back AI.
- 51:10Speaker 1: Some people hate that AI, but I've got a story
- 51:14Speaker 1: though that makes you really think when it comes to AI.
- 51:17Speaker 1: We'll be back with more tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor.
- 51:20Speaker 3: I'm sure to weird. Find us on the web at
- 51:22Speaker 3: tech talk radio dot com. Give us this questions answer
- 51:24Speaker 3: on the air.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Hey, I'm Eric Johnson.
- 51:27Speaker 3: I played Flash Gordon on Sci Fi slash Gordon and
- 51:29Speaker 3: you were listening to tech talk radio.
- 51:33Speaker 1: I think AI is causing all of us to look
- 51:36Speaker 1: at stuff right now and say that's fake. That's just fake.
- 51:40Speaker 1: You know, we tend to just believe just about everything.
- 51:43Speaker 1: If you have not seen the picture of Guy Fieri
- 51:46Speaker 1: his transfer, have you looked at this yet? Shun? You
- 51:49Speaker 1: got to pull this up. His transformation where he went
- 51:54Speaker 1: from being that guy Fieri with the spiky hair and
- 51:57Speaker 1: the little white goatee, a crazy face to now being
- 52:03Speaker 1: on his birthday, his fifty eighth birthday, he transformed himself.
- 52:07Speaker 1: And I noticed right away people were saying Ai, that's Ai,
- 52:12Speaker 1: that he didn't do this, But apparently I have a feeling.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Number one, it could be in a commercial or number two,
- 52:18Speaker 1: he just wanted to do something different and see what
- 52:20Speaker 1: people thought. I don't know. I felt bad about thinking, okay,
- 52:24Speaker 1: that's Ai. What do you think?
- 52:28Speaker 3: I don't know, But there's a there's the first thing
- 52:30Speaker 3: that came up was an AOL article about it. Yeah,
- 52:33Speaker 3: it's it looks it's ridiculous.
- 52:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it looks different.
- 52:38Speaker 3: The other one it's it's I can't eaven, it's ridiculous.
- 52:45Speaker 3: I'm gonna try and pull this up. So people who
- 52:46Speaker 3: are watching.
- 52:47Speaker 1: The video barely guys son.
- 52:49Speaker 3: Hilarious, like, this doesn't even look right, It doesn't even
- 52:52Speaker 3: look this is the Uncanny Valley.
- 52:54Speaker 1: But Guy's son looked at it and said, so, Dad,
- 52:57Speaker 1: when did you start selling insurance policies?
- 53:01Speaker 3: Hey, I don't have my I don't have a set
- 53:02Speaker 3: up on my news. Say, but here's the thing.
- 53:04Speaker 1: Right away, we want to just say, no, that's Ai.
- 53:06Speaker 1: It's fake. There was a video that was shared five
- 53:10Speaker 1: years ago from Minyonmar, which you know, that's my I'm
- 53:14Speaker 1: a descendant of those from Minyonmar, of that military coup
- 53:18Speaker 1: that took place five years ago, and a pe teacher.
- 53:21Speaker 1: And if you remember the video back then, in Minyonmar
- 53:24Speaker 1: filmed the execution of a coup while recording her morning
- 53:28Speaker 1: aerobics routine. Everything was going on behind her. Right away,
- 53:33Speaker 1: people were saying, that's Ai, and I'm thinking, wait, I
- 53:35Speaker 1: saw this five years ago. It's not Ai. But people
- 53:38Speaker 1: were arguing with each other about it being AI because
- 53:41Speaker 1: look at her shadow. It's cutting differently. So we're looking
- 53:44Speaker 1: at content now with the eye of it being fake,
- 53:48Speaker 1: not that it could be real. We're just saying everything's
- 53:51Speaker 1: everything's AI. Yeah, and I think that's bad.
- 53:56Speaker 3: Yeah, it's It's gotten so good. Canny Valley is getting
- 54:01Speaker 3: more hard to decipher. It is, and I'm using lesson
- 54:05Speaker 3: less AI as we go, more at work than in
- 54:10Speaker 3: personal life.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Right.
- 54:11Speaker 3: Work is still driving AI tracking, player tracking, stats tracking
- 54:15Speaker 3: that kind of stuff. So AI is not going away
- 54:17Speaker 3: from me. But in my personal life, I'm not using it,
- 54:20Speaker 3: and I don't think I will continue to use it.
- 54:21Speaker 3: I don't. I'm not gonna get any benefit out of it,
- 54:24Speaker 3: right because the stuff that I want to learn, if
- 54:27Speaker 3: I do it AI, I'm not really learning it. So
- 54:29Speaker 3: I'm trying to do it the old fashioned way if
- 54:31Speaker 3: you will.
- 54:33Speaker 1: They're still good.
- 54:34Speaker 3: There are still things that I like to use it
- 54:35Speaker 3: for searching manuals, yeah, that kind of stuff, But a
- 54:39Speaker 3: day to day basis, I'm not using guy at all.
- 54:43Speaker 1: All right. I mean, it's just if you see a picture,
- 54:46Speaker 1: you know, before you make a comment, really think about it.
