- 0:00It is interesting that people are willing to believe the
- 0:03secret of the Law of Attraction, spend time, energy and money
- 0:08trying to learn it for the purpose of manifesting wealth,
- 0:11enjoyment and the powers available in the world.
- 0:15But they do not tend to apply the principle behind this Law of
- 0:19attraction to the focus and actions that take place in their
- 0:23inner lives. This, of course, is the real
- 0:26truth behind the Law of Attraction.
- 0:29Not that one can attract money, sexual partners, material
- 0:33things, but that what we focus on, what we think, how we focus
- 0:38our energy internally guides the being to the energetic
- 0:42vibrations that resonate with that inner focus.
- 0:47Once an individual takes the standpoint of the witness of the
- 0:50nature, he can begin to refocus attention away from the external
- 0:55pursuits and enjoyments to the process and objectives of the
- 0:59spiritual practice. This may be liberation from an
- 1:04abandonment of the external nature, or it may be a linking
- 1:09of the consciousness to the divine consciousness and thereby
- 1:13integrating spirit and matter into one holistic existence.
- 1:19Even before he is able to shift entirely to the witness
- 1:22standpoint, a strong aspiration or inner drive towards spiritual
- 1:27realization can help the process of reorienting the energy,
- 1:32although particularly initially the individual has issues with
- 1:37forgetting. As outer energies press for
- 1:40attention and the normal habits and drives of the external
- 1:44nature continue to hold the predominant focus for the being
- 1:49in this transitional period, there's an alternation, a
- 1:53continual process of bringing back the concentration to the
- 1:57spiritual practice. No matter how many times one
- 2:00simply forgets or goes about under the impulsion of the
- 2:04habitual nature, the main thing is to tune oneself, to the
- 2:09extent possible, to the higher vibration. 1 is seeking to
- 2:13realize in the nature rather than emphasizing and focusing on
- 2:18obstacles, difficulties, and failures.
- 2:22Over time, as the individual grows and matures at this new
- 2:26level of vibration, the obstacles fall away of
- 2:30themselves or at least become much lessened in their intensity
- 2:35and thus easier to disregard. This approach of refocusing can
- 2:41also be used for very specific types of changes in human
- 2:44nature. For instance, if one is
- 2:47experiencing a pull of desire from the vital being, one can
- 2:51consciously undertake to redirect the awareness and focus
- 2:55toward the spiritual realization.
- 2:58To accomplish this, initially, many people rely on specific
- 3:01techniques such as meditation, concentration, contemplation,
- 3:07pranayam, the use of mantras, asanas, including the use of
- 3:13mudras, bandas, and specific alignments of the body to shift
- 3:17energy and focus away from whatever the outer nature was
- 3:21seeking aspiration, prayer, budgens or devotional music,
- 3:27devotional feelings, Karma yoga. A feeling of service and
- 3:33surrender. A widening of the attention
- 3:36toward the infinite or a call to the guru or the divine presence
- 3:41in some form. Entering into a state of unity
- 3:44with a particular divine form, whether through a Morty or
- 3:49through inner practices including things like
- 3:51visualization etcetera. There are countless techniques
- 3:55that can be applied under 1 circumstance or another
- 3:59depending on the specific circumstance that the seeker is
- 4:03working on changing, Shrioro Bindo writes.
- 4:06Quote. Difficulties and perplexities
- 4:10can never be got rid of by the mind brooding on them and trying
- 4:14in that way to get out of them. This habit of the mind only
- 4:17makes them recur without a solution, and keeps up by
- 4:21brooding the persistent tangle. It is from something above and
- 4:26outside the perplexities that the solution must come.
- 4:30The difficulty of the physical mind, not the true thinking
- 4:34intelligence, is that it does not want to believe in this
- 4:37larger consciousness outside itself, because it is not aware
- 4:41of it, and it remains shut like a box in itself, not admitting
- 4:46the light that is all round it and pressing to get in.
- 4:50It is a subtle law of the action of consciousness that if you
- 4:54stress difficulties, you have to observe them, of course, but not
- 4:59stress them. They will quite sufficiently do
- 5:01that for themselves. The difficulties tend to stick
- 5:05or even increase. On the contrary, if you put your
- 5:09whole stress on faith and aspiration and concentrate
- 5:13steadily on what you aspire to, that will sooner or later tend
- 5:18towards realization. It is this change of stress, a
- 5:22change in the poise and attitude of the mind that will be the
- 5:27most helpful process. End Quote reference.
