- 0:02As long as we are in mashed in the ego life.
- 0:06It is essentially impossible to conceive of the status or
- 0:09existence of the Ottoman. We relate to the physical world.
- 0:15We relate to other individuals, as if we are just this limited
- 0:20human existence and being we perceive and react to everything
- 0:25from our own egoistic framework. We find it difficult if not
- 0:30virtually impossible to conceive of infinite and interrelated
- 0:36existence and Universal Oneness. Even if our most advanced
- 0:41scientists and sages, tell us that the entire universe is one
- 0:46and indivisible with the same energy creating and running
- 0:50through everything. When we conceived of our death,
- 0:55we either believe that there is nothing afterwards or we accept
- 1:00the tenets of our religious teachings, which either point to
- 1:05a form of rebirth, or entry into some kind of afterlife of a
- 1:11heaven, or possibly, a Purgatory or Hell within which we will be
- 1:16reunited with our family and loved ones.
- 1:20In the form that we experience ourselves.
- 1:23And then in our current lifetime, of course, none of
- 1:28this makes any sense. If we take a wider view of
- 1:30things when we age and die Warren and shriveled or diseased
- 1:36and demented, we expect that after death.
- 1:40We will be are young healthy and vibrant cells of memory and join
- 1:45up with everyone in their best days and forms.
- 1:48After all who would want to be rewarded with eternal life in
- 1:53heaven with friends and family. If everyone was in the form,
- 1:57they were at the time of their death.
- 2:02In order to understand the optimum, we need to have an
- 2:05experience that takes us out of this ego bound individuality.
- 2:11And when such an experience comes to us, it suddenly becomes
- 2:15crystal clear that none of these ego-driven fantastic ideas can
- 2:21possibly be the end result of the enormous and yet extremely
- 2:27detailed Universal creation. Lifted out of the limitations of
- 2:33the body life. Mine complex.
- 2:36We partake of a wider life. Well we do not experience this
- 2:41wider life we can yet use our power of visualization to gain
- 2:45at least some approximate concept of what is involved.
- 2:52We can visualize ourselves in the vast silent realms of outer
- 2:55space with no sounds that we can perceive and vast empty
- 3:02stretches within which universe's galaxies stars
- 3:07planets. Black holes make up a tiny
- 3:11fragment of the immensity. Nothing is moving in this wide
- 3:17space and we feel like we have spread out with a deep
- 3:21unshakeable peace. This space is a representation
- 3:27of the container within which the universal creation forms and
- 3:32carries out its activity. It is not disturbed by the
- 3:36activity, but holds it without comment or response observing at
- 3:43peace and still, We can move our standpoint from one object to
- 3:50another without losing the sense of unity with everything else,
- 3:53that is created standing apart. Even while viewing from an
- 3:59individual perspective, experiencing the individual, as
- 4:04a portion of that larger existence, We can visualize each
- 4:08cell in our bodies is having its own level of awareness and
- 4:12existence, separately living yet, part of a larger Unity that
- 4:17we call ourselves the cells cannot exist without the larger
- 4:22being the larger being does not manifest without the cells.
- 4:28The energy that enlivens both is the same energy which itself
- 4:33comes from another aspect of the universal creation.
- 4:38SRI aurobindo writes, quote. The self is, felt either as
- 4:43universal one in all or as universalized individual the
- 4:50same in essence, as others extended everywhere from each
- 4:54being. But centered here, of course,
- 4:59Center is a way of speaking, because no physical Center is
- 5:02usually felt. Only all the actions.
- 5:06Take place around the individual.
- 5:10Everything axe in the self, the whole play of nature takes place
- 5:14in the south in the Divine. The self contains the universe.
- 5:20The show for Atman is in active nature property or Shakti Acts.
- 5:28When the self is felt, it is first an infinite existence
- 5:33silence. Freedom, peace.
- 5:36That is felt, that is called Atman or self. what action takes
- 5:43place in it, is according to the realization, either felt as
- 5:47forces of nature working in that wideness, as the defined Shakti
- 5:52working, or as the cosmic Divine or various powers of them
- 5:57working, it is not felt that the self is acting in quote
