- 0:20Speaker 1: Ramona Shelburn going to join us in about fifteen minutes Classic,
- 0:24Speaker 1: I didn't have my mic on is he's cold? I
- 0:28Speaker 1: thinks it's cold in the studio, freezing. He went to
- 0:31Speaker 1: his backpack hoping there was a blanket. There wasn't, but
- 0:34Speaker 1: he found a sweatshirt.
- 0:36Speaker 3: No, it's a little gator at twent just covered my
- 0:39Speaker 3: legs with.
- 0:39Speaker 4: It, is he? This is amazing that Lebron James is
- 0:45Speaker 4: going to hold.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Us hostage for the foreseeable future here because according to Shams,
- 0:52Speaker 1: he is willing to accept a minimum contract to play
- 0:55Speaker 1: for a contender and that opens up the doors to
- 0:58Speaker 1: just about every single team, well contending team.
- 1:01Speaker 4: In the NBA.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Whether or not you believe that report, and I don't
- 1:04Speaker 1: think that you do, because I think you think that
- 1:07Speaker 1: Lebron wants to make some money here in his final season.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I would tell you he's made enough money, And what
- 1:12Speaker 1: he's doing is chasing ghost. He's trying to catch Michael Jordan.
- 1:16Speaker 1: He's trying to tack on a ring or too towards
- 1:18Speaker 1: the end of his career. And so I do believe
- 1:21Speaker 1: that he'd be willing to play for.
- 1:23Speaker 4: A minimum contract in the NBA.
- 1:25Speaker 3: I think it's the smart thing to do is to
- 1:28Speaker 3: give yourself like the entire landscape of the NBA. You
- 1:32Speaker 3: know this is going to be your last move. So
- 1:35Speaker 3: why rule anybody out right? Yes, of course for Utah
- 1:38Speaker 3: you can rule them out right away, But why.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Rule anybody out a non contending team? Correct?
- 1:43Speaker 3: And so I think in that respect, it's something you say.
- 1:46Speaker 3: It's something you say, Hey, I'm not going to let
- 1:48Speaker 3: other teams' salary situations dictate where I'm going to go.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I'm going to go where I'm going to be the happiest.
- 1:54Speaker 3: And if that means taking a pay cut, whatever, I
- 1:56Speaker 3: don't need. I'm a billionaire, and so I don't think
- 1:59Speaker 3: that's actually what's going to happen, though. I think he
- 2:01Speaker 3: finds his team. I think he talks to the GM
- 2:03Speaker 3: and says, hey, you got to figure out a way
- 2:05Speaker 3: to get me some money here. So if It's something
- 2:07Speaker 3: as simple as let's say you're going to the Miami Heat.
- 2:09Speaker 3: You just take a player like Nicola Jovic or even
- 2:12Speaker 3: and Andrew Wiggins and include that in a sign in
- 2:14Speaker 3: trade and then move on from there and you get
- 2:17Speaker 3: Lebron his money. So this is more about him keeping
- 2:21Speaker 3: his options as open as possible, not actually about what
- 2:24Speaker 3: he's going to make.
- 2:25Speaker 1: This report would suggest that he might be open to
- 2:28Speaker 1: maybe in Oklahoma City, maybe the New York Knicks, maybe
- 2:31Speaker 1: the Boston Celtics, maybe the San Antonio Spurs, although Wemby
- 2:34Speaker 1: doesn't want.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Them, he doesn't need them.
- 2:36Speaker 1: But you still think correct me if I'm wrong that
- 2:39Speaker 1: it's going to be Golden State, Miami, or Cleveland.
- 2:41Speaker 3: I believe. Look, I believe in the reporting that there's
- 2:44Speaker 3: a reason those three names are being mentioned. I believe
- 2:46Speaker 3: there are the reason those three names are the betting favorites,
- 2:48Speaker 3: and I believe that it makes sense why you look
- 2:51Speaker 3: at those teams. Maybe not Cleveland as much, although they
- 2:53Speaker 3: would are open to making changes to fit Lebron obviously,
- 2:56Speaker 3: but you know, Miami and Golden State, for example, have
- 2:59Speaker 3: made moves to make it potentially works. So I believe
- 3:02Speaker 3: in the reporting and when you just put the pieces together,
- 3:04Speaker 3: it also makes the most sense.
- 3:05Speaker 5: I'm over one on close your eyes test because I
- 3:08Speaker 5: said close your eyes and imagine cat winning a title
- 3:10Speaker 5: and yeah, the Knicks very famously won a title for
- 3:13Speaker 5: the first time in.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Well you close your eyes and you couldn't see it
- 3:16Speaker 1: and then they did it right.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:19Speaker 5: But the true mark of a great shooter, yeah, is
- 3:22Speaker 5: a short memory. Everybody knows A j R. Smith proved
- 3:25Speaker 5: that short memory as a shooter. Yep, close your eyes.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Okay, we have to close our eyes.
- 3:30Speaker 5: This is close your eyes test Part two.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Okay, shooters must be bad test takers.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Yes, yep, yep. You put it on the pole. Are
- 3:37Speaker 1: you closing your eyes as well?
- 3:38Speaker 4: Here or you? What are you doing?
- 3:39Speaker 5: Well, I'm going to set this up for you guys.
- 3:41Speaker 4: All right, I'll close my eyes.
- 3:42Speaker 5: This is close your eyes test Part two. Okay, imagine
- 3:46Speaker 5: it's January, the middle of a long home stretch, colder
- 3:49Speaker 5: in here, and Lebron James is waking up in San Antonio.
- 3:53Speaker 5: I can't see it.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Hold on a second, what month, January?
- 3:59Speaker 1: January? Yeah, I can't see it either. I can't Yes, January,
- 4:04Speaker 1: wake it up in San Antonio when he doesn't have
- 4:06Speaker 1: to wake up in San Antonio.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Yeah, he can wake up anywhere. I mean.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I also, if you want to close your eyes and
- 4:11Speaker 3: imagine him looking to Wemby for leadership, Like, I don't
- 4:15Speaker 3: think he wants to hear a word that Victor Wembin
- 4:18Speaker 3: Yama has to.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Say, or Wemby looking to him for leadership or any
- 4:22Speaker 1: sort of advice on how to do this. He's like, hey,
- 4:24Speaker 1: I got it, and I'm seven to five.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:27Speaker 3: And I even think the teasing with Cleveland, right, because
- 4:30Speaker 3: he's over there running through the neighborhood, I feel like
- 4:32Speaker 3: that is just gamesmanship from him. I think it's keeping
- 4:36Speaker 3: the people from Cleveland happy and hopeful. But I don't
- 4:39Speaker 3: think he's going there.
- 4:40Speaker 1: You know, as I get older, when I close my
- 4:41Speaker 1: eyes even for five seconds, when I open him up,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I'm dizzy, checked out.
- 4:49Speaker 3: You don't move around, you just close your eyes, open
- 4:52Speaker 3: your eyes, and your disney. I mean, I'm still dizzy.
- 4:54Speaker 3: I'm shaking it off.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Go ahead, Mikey.
- 4:58Speaker 6: The only way I see Lebroad in San Antonio when
- 5:01Speaker 6: I close my eyes is that infamous picture of him
- 5:05Speaker 6: pointing to the side yelling at J R. Smith only
- 5:07Speaker 6: it's Wemby, and I just can't see Wemby being like,
- 5:10Speaker 6: you're right.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Right, well, close your eyes. Can you see him waking
- 5:14Speaker 1: up in January in Oklahoma City?
- 5:16Speaker 3: No, No, Now I'm a little dizzy because I can't
- 5:22Speaker 3: possibly picture that way right.
- 5:23Speaker 1: The only time I have him waking up in January
- 5:25Speaker 1: in San Antonio is if he's playing for the Celtics
- 5:28Speaker 1: and he's on the first plane out after the game.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:30Speaker 3: I mean, even that's a little chilly.
- 5:31Speaker 4: I mean if you.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Talk about like, yeah, he's not he's in Cleveland now,
- 5:34Speaker 3: he's not in Miami. Well, nobody wants to be in
- 5:36Speaker 3: Miami in June or July. It's super hot. So he's
- 5:39Speaker 3: doing the thing where he's in the right place at
- 5:41Speaker 3: the right time of the year. But look, I don't
- 5:43Speaker 3: see I don't see a secret team pulling up here
- 5:46Speaker 3: and making this happen. Taylor. I don't think the Knicks
- 5:48Speaker 3: are going to be involved here. I don't think any
- 5:50Speaker 3: other real contenders are involved here, especially like when you
- 5:53Speaker 3: talk about okay See and the Spurs, it's just a
- 5:55Speaker 3: timeline difference. It's just you don't want to, you know,
- 5:58Speaker 3: if you're the Spurs, put all this pressure on this
- 6:01Speaker 3: one year or maybe two years whatever else he wants
- 6:03Speaker 3: to play and say, hey, this this is pressurizing Victor Wembiniama.
- 6:07Speaker 3: He's already got his pressure. He's already got the pieces
- 6:09Speaker 3: around him that they want to build with.
- 6:11Speaker 5: So when it comes to a mystery team, Lebron is
- 6:14Speaker 5: saying that he's willing to accept a minimum contract. We
- 6:17Speaker 5: have to actually see if he will do that. But
- 6:19Speaker 5: people are now saying if he takes a discount on
- 6:22Speaker 5: his NBA salary, the money could come back through the
- 6:25Speaker 5: documentary he's doing. Yeah, what if I told you guys,
- 6:28Speaker 5: I have a team that could rebrand around Lebron and
- 6:30Speaker 5: this partnership, he could make his money back tenfold?
- 6:34Speaker 4: Should close our eyes?
- 6:35Speaker 5: No, you don't have to close your eyes for this good.
- 6:36Speaker 4: I get dizzy. I mean, I'm gonna do it anyway,
- 6:40Speaker 4: all right, go ahead, give.
- 6:42Speaker 5: It to us the Lebronto Raptors.
- 6:48Speaker 3: You think Kawhi Leonard is gonna be happy with that
- 6:50Speaker 3: team to play for.
- 6:51Speaker 5: Lebronto, But imagine quickly, Lebron Kawhi Scottie Barnes yaka Pertle,
- 6:56Speaker 5: I did start talking myself into that line.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Threat.
- 6:59Speaker 6: Yes, Lebron plays all the games in the States. Kawhi
- 7:02Speaker 6: plays all the games in Canada, across the border.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I like Lebron comes in. He's like, hey, States, I
- 7:09Speaker 1: got youa just stay here.
- 7:11Speaker 6: I get to do my I get to do my
- 7:13Speaker 6: farewell tour across the United States.
- 7:15Speaker 4: You play in Canada.
- 7:16Speaker 5: But is he was kind of like when Messi came
- 7:18Speaker 5: to enter Miami to sweeten the deal. They were like, Hey,
- 7:22Speaker 5: this this new MLS Apple deal, You're gonna get it
- 7:25Speaker 5: a huge chunk that. There's really no incentive for Lebron
- 7:29Speaker 5: to go to a team like the Toronto Raptors unless
- 7:31Speaker 5: they rebrand to Lebronto.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Let me tell you about the most famous person in Toronto.
- 7:36Speaker 3: His name's Drake. He hates Lebron. He had a Lebron
- 7:40Speaker 3: tattoo covered it with a Shay Gildess Alexander tattoo. He
- 7:45Speaker 3: is dropping Lebron's names and all these songs and cursing
- 7:49Speaker 3: him out, saying he's not a faithful husband. It's just like,
- 7:51Speaker 3: there's no chance in heck that he goes to Toronto.
- 7:55Speaker 3: No chance if I'm Lebron. This is interesting, man, because
- 7:59Speaker 3: he thinks about this stuff. Is he you know this right,
- 8:03Speaker 3: I think the perfect team for him right now, the
- 8:06Speaker 3: Lakers and him parted ways.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I gonna say the Lakers, No, the Lakers quite the day.
- 8:11Speaker 1: The Lakers have made a thousand moves today. Lebron is
- 8:13Speaker 1: never going back to LA. But I think going to
- 8:16Speaker 1: Boston would be a smart play. I think going to
- 8:19Speaker 1: you know, the rival of the team that just kind
- 8:22Speaker 1: of bailed on you in the LA Lakers, I'm not
- 8:24Speaker 1: certain how the relationship is with that city, with their
- 8:27Speaker 1: fan base and with that organization. You can't go to
- 8:31Speaker 1: the Knicks. The Knicks just won a title, so we
- 8:33Speaker 1: can't be the reason the Knicks win a title. They've
- 8:35Speaker 1: already done it without him going to Boston.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Where they won a title.
- 8:38Speaker 1: But it was a few years ago, and there seems
- 8:41Speaker 1: to be there seems to be some repairing that needs
- 8:44Speaker 1: to be done in terms of relationships with certain players,
- 8:47Speaker 1: Jaylen Brown, Jason Tatum.
- 8:48Speaker 4: We'll see what happens with Jalen Brown.
- 8:50Speaker 1: But going to the Celtics and helping them get past
- 8:52Speaker 1: the Knicks, getting back to the NBA Finals and maybe
- 8:55Speaker 1: winning an NBA championship, that'd be a pretty good ending
- 8:58Speaker 1: for him, would.
- 8:59Speaker 4: It, Uh? Not for you, but for him.
- 9:03Speaker 3: I just don't see that possibility whatsoever when you consider
- 9:08Speaker 3: just a lot of things, right, like that was the rival,
- 9:11Speaker 3: the main rival for all of his his teams, right
- 9:15Speaker 3: his for heat like Caves and the Lakers, and it
- 9:18Speaker 3: just it just doesn't seem very probable that he would
- 9:21Speaker 3: go there. In particular, you know the two guys that
- 9:24Speaker 3: they have, if you're assuming they somehow keep Jalen Brown
- 9:27Speaker 3: or even if they move him, the guy that that
- 9:29Speaker 3: is the best, their best player, Jason Tatum effectively plays
- 9:32Speaker 3: the same position. I just I just don't see that
- 9:35Speaker 3: possibility happening it. I don't, but it would be a
- 9:38Speaker 3: good move.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Now.
- 9:39Speaker 3: So we're talking to Ramona Shelbourne later, right, And this
- 9:41Speaker 3: is where I don't think it'll be a good move,
- 9:43Speaker 3: right because it's pressurized, like immediately you got to win
- 9:45Speaker 3: a championship. So you've got the Boston fans looking at
- 9:49Speaker 3: Lebron James, they've already hated for twenty five years, right
- 9:53Speaker 3: and seeing you better win US a championship this year
- 9:56Speaker 3: or we're gonna blast you even more. That's not really
- 9:59Speaker 3: the setup Lebron James wants to have, right. It just
- 10:01Speaker 3: doesn't feel Plus they just of all the teams we're
- 10:04Speaker 3: talking about, the most recent champion in twenty twenty four. Sure,
- 10:07Speaker 3: this doesn't feel like the right fit for him either.
- 10:09Speaker 5: But if the reports are right that Lebron wants to
- 10:11Speaker 5: compete for championships and he wants to play meaningful basketball,
- 10:15Speaker 5: he's going to have to go somewhere where once he
- 10:18Speaker 5: gets there, the expectation is title.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Yes, regardless of where he goes.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if he goes to Golden State,
- 10:24Speaker 1: is the expectation of title I don't know.
- 10:26Speaker 4: And Eveland, yes, it is. It is.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Internally now, the rest of us will look at it
- 10:30Speaker 3: and say, yeah, he's a little old. It's probably not
- 10:32Speaker 3: they're that team's a little old. It's probably not going
- 10:33Speaker 3: to happen. But internally, yeah, they're talking championship Miami. The
- 10:36Speaker 3: expectation is title right. If they get Lebron, they will
- 10:40Speaker 3: finish off that roster in a way that they are
- 10:42Speaker 3: telling themselves absolutely, title contender.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Cleveland expectation title right. Maybe with a little tougher I
- 10:48Speaker 1: mean Eastern Conference Finals, little.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Tougher when you consider that he Yeah, it's just it's
- 10:53Speaker 3: a tough fit with James Harden a little older, right,
- 10:57Speaker 3: I would say contender, but I wouldn't be feel great
- 10:59Speaker 3: about it, Okay.
- 10:59Speaker 5: So I don't know if title would be the realistic tier.
- 11:02Speaker 5: I would say NBA Cup.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Probably back from the next Be sure to catch live

- 11:33Speaker 3: slash World Cup to learn more.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Very exciting.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Taylor has a soccer stat of the day and is
- 11:39Speaker 1: he has a top five that's coming up next segment.
- 11:42Speaker 4: I'm very excited about this. What is this top five?
- 11:44Speaker 3: Well, it's in honor of our British gentleman, killer Harry Kane,
- 11:48Speaker 3: and it's just top five canes. Oh wow, yeah, wow.
- 11:51Speaker 1: The mikey A I've rarely seen such an exciting look.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Look on your face, man, That's all it took is
- 11:58Speaker 1: top five canes.
- 12:00Speaker 6: I'm trying to decide if I can think of five
- 12:02Speaker 6: kayes no.
- 12:03Speaker 3: I can think of five kids.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I can think of one Gage, you know, Toretta, Yeah,
- 12:09Speaker 1: you should do your top five Miami Hurricanes of all time.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Taylor has a stat of the day. Big soccer match tonight,
- 12:16Speaker 1: United States must win. I can't believe we're saying this.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Otherwise we're gonna, uh well, we're gonna criticize them for
- 12:23Speaker 1: not going far enough.
- 12:24Speaker 4: What is the soccer stat of the day here, Taylor?
- 12:26Speaker 5: So this stat comes from Roger Sherman. With their wins
- 12:30Speaker 5: over Sweden and Senegal, the French national team has as
- 12:34Speaker 5: many wins at MetLife Stadium in the World Cup as
- 12:37Speaker 5: the New York Jets did in the twenty twenty five NFL.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Season, more wins than the Jets had interceptions.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Mikey he he's not smiling now. He was smiling at
- 12:47Speaker 4: top five gains. No longer.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Smiley feels that pain. Yes, that hurts.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Yeah, can I hear it again? I just want to
- 12:53Speaker 4: hurt Mikey Moore.
- 12:55Speaker 5: With their wins over Sweden and Senegal, the French national
- 12:58Speaker 5: team has as haf Stadium in the World Cup as
- 13:03Speaker 5: the New York Jets did in the twenty twenty up.
- 13:06Speaker 5: The French and also to Izzy's point, they had the
- 13:09Speaker 5: same amount of interceptions.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Oh Jesus is he walked in today and I made
- 13:13Speaker 1: a revelation as if I'm the only one who has
- 13:15Speaker 1: noticed this.
- 13:16Speaker 4: I said him, BOPPI who whatever his dave is, he's good.
- 13:22Speaker 3: I'm telling you, Stu is on his socker. R.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Know what's gonna happen if the United States loses today?
- 13:29Speaker 1: Like, did the fans care enough where they're going to
- 13:31Speaker 1: criticize the US men's national team.
- 13:34Speaker 3: It's kind of like how we just went. We're going
- 13:36Speaker 3: to move on to another poll, to another list after
- 13:38Speaker 3: we're done with Ricardo's list today of shows that are
- 13:42Speaker 3: better than Breaking Bad. We just need we just we're
- 13:45Speaker 3: just gonna have something else to think about. We'll just
- 13:47Speaker 3: move on to baseball. We'll just watch the rest of
- 13:49Speaker 3: the World Cup and pretend we're from one of those countries.
- 13:52Speaker 3: It's not gonna be a really big deal. It'll be
- 13:53Speaker 3: about two days of criticism and then it's a whatever.
- 13:57Speaker 6: If the US loses today, the amount of Google searches
- 14:00Speaker 6: of when does Team X training camp start?
- 14:03Speaker 1: We'll just skyrocket, no question about it. Nothing new on
- 14:08Speaker 1: Lebron James. We're gonna have Mike gol That gone an
- 14:10Speaker 1: hour number two. But I am telling you right now,
- 14:13Speaker 1: I will bail on Mike Golicks Senior if one of
- 14:16Speaker 1: two things happen. If Jalen Brown gets traded from the Celtics, okay,
- 14:22Speaker 1: or if Lebron James makes a decision. But we know
- 14:25Speaker 1: Lebron's not making his decision on a day where the
- 14:28Speaker 1: United States plays a soccer game.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Really yes, patriotic?
- 14:32Speaker 4: Well, he wants the entire day to himself. We all
- 14:34Speaker 4: know that. So I'm gonna rule that out.
- 14:36Speaker 1: So if Jalen Brown gets traded, I will bail on
- 14:38Speaker 1: Mike Golocks Senior an hour two. If he doesn't, we
- 14:41Speaker 1: will have mikeel Ex Senior on.
- 14:42Speaker 5: Yes, Taylor, what about this one? Tobias Harris two years,
- 14:45Speaker 5: thirty one million dollars san Antonio spurs.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Tobias Harris really needs that chip Man. He's been He's
- 14:52Speaker 3: been like tagging on to some really good teams and
- 14:56Speaker 3: coming up short and then being blamed for it. So
- 14:58Speaker 3: I think san Antonio be the best space because he
- 15:01Speaker 3: knows he's not gonna get blamed. It doesn't matter what happens.
- 15:03Speaker 4: You don't think Wemby would blame him if he doesn't
- 15:05Speaker 4: win a title.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Everybody blames Wemby from here on out. Wemby gets all
- 15:08Speaker 3: the blame, and then de Aaron Fox yep after that,
- 15:11Speaker 3: nobody else.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Yes, but Wemby's not gonnad Aaron Fox and Nick greats.
- 15:15Speaker 1: But Wemby's not gonna blame himself. He's going to find
- 15:17Speaker 1: someone to blame. And that guy, I would think is
- 15:19Speaker 1: going to be Tobias Harris.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Okay, I mean then it's the perfect spot for him.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Anyway, Perhaps Tobias Harris should look in the mirror and
- 15:25Speaker 1: realize why he's never won a championship.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Maybe I'm the problem.
- 15:29Speaker 5: Tobias Harris is an all time fall guy?
- 15:31Speaker 4: He really is? Is he top five? Next?
- 15:33Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 15:37Speaker 2: Live weekdacent three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Is he has a top five coming up? Top five
- 15:45Speaker 4: Canes of all.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Time in honor of Harry Kane.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Yes, score two goals. Today England plays Mexico. Am I
- 15:52Speaker 1: wrong in thinking that it's unfair that Mexico is playing
- 15:55Speaker 1: these important games at home?
- 15:56Speaker 3: I mean, I mean every World Cup has to have
- 15:59Speaker 3: a host that the hosts have home games.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I guess are they going to play? Yes, we are too, exactly,
- 16:08Speaker 1: I'm very excited for this top five. What were you
- 16:10Speaker 1: telling me about Tim Hardaway Junior during the.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Break, I'm sorry I was That's all right. So Tim
- 16:14Speaker 3: Hardaway Junior has agreed to sign with the Miami Heat
- 16:18Speaker 3: and Tim Hardaway Junior's father famously played for the Miami Heat.
- 16:22Speaker 3: His father's number ten is raised to the rafters. It
- 16:25Speaker 3: is a retired number for the Miami Heat, and Tim
- 16:28Speaker 3: Hardaway Seniors said there's no chance his son is going
- 16:31Speaker 3: to get to wear number ten. That numbers not coming
- 16:33Speaker 3: down for the rafters, even it's for my own kid.
- 16:37Speaker 4: That's wrong. I mean he should charge his son. I'm
- 16:40Speaker 4: with him on that.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Like, if he wants to make a deal, negotiate, Hey,
- 16:44Speaker 1: give me a million dollars and you can have my number.
- 16:46Speaker 1: That's fine, but you should.
- 16:48Speaker 6: Get clean your room.
- 16:50Speaker 4: But you should give it to your son. Man.
- 16:52Speaker 3: This is yeah, No, this is where I think the
- 16:55Speaker 3: difficult conversation has to happen within the household at the
- 16:58Speaker 3: next little family dinner. I'm sorry, Junior, you weren't good enough.
- 17:03Speaker 3: If you were a better player. Maybe I can get
- 17:06Speaker 3: that number ten out the rafters down from the rafters
- 17:08Speaker 3: for you. Maybe if you made an All Star team,
- 17:10Speaker 3: maybe if you average twenty a game one year.
- 17:12Speaker 1: But in your role, you can take number eleven. Yes,
- 17:16Speaker 1: let's get to is he's top five again? Mike Golocks
- 17:19Speaker 1: Senior is going to join us? Hopefully there is. There's
- 17:21Speaker 1: no news coming out on Jalen Brown or Lebron doesn't
- 17:24Speaker 1: make a decision, but he won't because the United States
- 17:26Speaker 1: plays soccer today and he needs the day all to himself.
- 17:29Speaker 1: So this is I'm very excited for this. Israel goody
- 17:32Speaker 1: eras his top five canes of all time.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Wow, I haven't done a top five in a minute.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I have some OLiS. Do we want Oli's or are
- 17:38Speaker 3: we going to go straight to the top five?
- 17:40Speaker 4: We want OL's, all right?
- 17:41Speaker 3: Oli Malachai Tony. He is the best hurricane I've ever seen.
- 17:47Speaker 3: He is the best cane I've ever seen, and therefore
- 17:50Speaker 3: he has to make the list in some capacity. Oli
- 17:52Speaker 3: Robinson k O hold on, it's yes.
- 17:57Speaker 4: You know, you know.
- 18:00Speaker 5: You've seen ever?
- 18:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean the most is the most the most
- 18:03Speaker 3: skilled athlete I've ever seen. Where Miami Hurricanes.
- 18:07Speaker 4: I mean, you've.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Seen Michael Irving and you've seen Warren Sapp You've seen
- 18:10Speaker 1: some of the greatest players to ever play, not just
- 18:12Speaker 1: in Miami, in the NFL.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Nobody moves like Tony does.
- 18:15Speaker 5: I mean, if respectfully to Malachai Tony. If Malachait Tony
- 18:19Speaker 5: was on those early two thousands Kine teams, h he's
- 18:21Speaker 5: a walk off.
- 18:22Speaker 4: He's on scout team, no chance. Frank Gore was a
- 18:26Speaker 4: fourth string running back.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and Malakay Tony is a great receiver.
- 18:31Speaker 4: But the greatest you've ever seen.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Wearing a Hurricanes's uniform. Yeah. The playmaker, I've seen the playmaker.
- 18:36Speaker 3: He played like fifty years ago. He's not the same player.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Number five. It's your list, Michael Kane with that adman
- 18:45Speaker 3: who used to do that on the show. If you'd
- 18:47Speaker 3: like to do a Michael Kine impression, all you have
- 18:50Speaker 3: to do. And I don't remember what the end of
- 18:52Speaker 3: the sentence was, it's just like talk really slow. I
- 18:54Speaker 3: think that's what it was.
- 18:55Speaker 4: It was, Yes, number four.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Got number four is a Category one hurricane, the Cat one,
- 19:05Speaker 3: the Cat one. Right, it's from South Florida. We we
- 19:08Speaker 3: we don't think of a category one as a serious hurricane.
- 19:11Speaker 3: It's just the day off.
- 19:12Speaker 4: I mean the multa news will strictly into thinking, get.
- 19:15Speaker 3: It, what's breaking news from Fox Sports a hurricane.
- 19:19Speaker 5: Mark Stein is reporting the Spurs are not expected to
- 19:23Speaker 5: pursue Lebron James.
- 19:29Speaker 4: How Wenby said, I don't need him.
- 19:30Speaker 3: He said that was Mark Stein. Yeah, correct, Hey, Mark,
- 19:32Speaker 3: stops stealing my stuff. I just said that last hour.
- 19:35Speaker 3: First said that lad during the podcast. There's no chance
- 19:38Speaker 3: that he's going to go to San Antonio.
- 19:39Speaker 1: There's a difference between reporting it and saying there's no
- 19:42Speaker 1: chance as an opinion.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I said it firmly, I said it aggressively.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Close look at that. Yeah, but the steinline, I mean, I.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Mean, here's a legend.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I mean he's reporting stuff. Yes, so san Antonio is out.
- 19:54Speaker 1: They're the first team that has announced, Hey, Lebron will pass.
- 19:58Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure in that the edict came from Greg
- 20:01Speaker 3: Popovich and said, get no part of Lebron James in
- 20:04Speaker 3: this place. Again. We beat Lebron James, we don't get
- 20:07Speaker 3: Lebron James and free agency.
- 20:09Speaker 4: I think it came from Wendy anyway, where were we.
- 20:11Speaker 3: We're at number four Category one hurricane, which again is
- 20:13Speaker 3: just a day off for us.
- 20:14Speaker 4: So I have a third, Right, that's what I was
- 20:16Speaker 4: gonna say.
- 20:16Speaker 1: So you like the cat ones because it's enough for
- 20:19Speaker 1: the news stations to trick us into taking a day
- 20:21Speaker 1: off and going to publics and buying all the goods. Right,
- 20:24Speaker 1: But it's not enough to really, you know, cause any
- 20:27Speaker 1: sort of damage. It's not enough to really board up
- 20:29Speaker 1: the house.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Ye right. It's like if you've got those real.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Easy hurricane shutters, you just put those down, that's no problem.
- 20:35Speaker 3: But if you're like old school like we were, didn't
- 20:37Speaker 3: have that stuff, had to put wood up for a
- 20:39Speaker 3: category one nothing, We're just looking out the windows.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Yes, And the kids love cat ones, they do.
- 20:44Speaker 3: They off for school.
- 20:46Speaker 4: And if you're down here long enough in your cage event,
- 20:48Speaker 4: you know what cat one means. Nothing?
- 20:50Speaker 3: Yes, yes, absolutely nothing?
- 20:51Speaker 4: All right?
- 20:52Speaker 3: So number three, number three, Big Daddy Kane. I mean,
- 20:56Speaker 3: when rap was rap, when hip hop was hip hop,
- 20:58Speaker 3: back in the day. You know, I should have done
- 21:01Speaker 3: another O L I was raising canes. It's just not
- 21:04Speaker 3: that good.
- 21:04Speaker 2: No.
- 21:06Speaker 5: Less they want to sponsor, all right, I want to sponsor.
- 21:08Speaker 3: They want to sponsors. Put a little on that number.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Two cocaine, so I've heard.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Really, so I've heard.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I can verify, okay, and it should be number one. Really, Yes,
- 21:21Speaker 1: you're doing that on behalf of Miami. You've never tried cocaine.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I've never tried it.
- 21:24Speaker 3: It seems to be doing quite well. Every everywhere I check,
- 21:28Speaker 3: it seems to be doing quite well. So I figure
- 21:30Speaker 3: it's got to be at least top two. Nowhere is
- 21:32Speaker 3: it doing as well as it is here?
- 21:34Speaker 4: Really? Yes, you're surprised it wasn't number one.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Number one. I mean, it's the hottest cane on the
- 21:41Speaker 3: block right now. The Carolina Hurricanes. Nobody, nobody pays attention
- 21:48Speaker 3: to the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes. And I don't
- 21:51Speaker 3: really mind too much as a Panthers fan, but they're
- 21:53Speaker 3: the hottest cane on the block right now, top cane one.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Everyone's got something to say, go ahead.
- 21:57Speaker 5: Nobody's paying attention to them, not even people North Carolina.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Mikey had something there.
- 22:06Speaker 6: I'm a little upset that Cana didn't make it.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I sent them oil cane boyd.
- 22:15Speaker 5: Yeah, what about the uh the mayor of Knox County.
- 22:19Speaker 5: Former w W wrestler Kane.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Yeah, no, not a wrestling guy Patrick Kane.
- 22:25Speaker 3: There's a Patrick Kane that was good.
- 22:26Speaker 6: That was Bandy Kane.
- 22:31Speaker 4: I love a good Candy Cane.
- 22:33Speaker 3: You guys want to do in Mount rushmore of Caines.
- 22:34Speaker 3: We can do that next week.
- 22:37Speaker 4: It is your list. So san Antonio is out? That
- 22:40Speaker 4: is uh, that's kind of interesting to me.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Uh.
- 22:42Speaker 4: I just figured that most of these teams you can.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Get Lebron on a league minimum according to Scham's Why
- 22:48Speaker 1: would you be out on that?
- 22:50Speaker 3: I think the Spurs are just realistic, right, it's I'm
- 22:53Speaker 3: going to break up with you before you break up
- 22:54Speaker 3: with me. He knows Lebron. They know Lebron's not really
- 22:57Speaker 3: going to go there. They know Lebron's not the right
- 22:59Speaker 3: fit for a one year you know, hyper pressurized championship
- 23:03Speaker 3: run when you know they've got their time. They don't
- 23:06Speaker 3: need to add to that pressure for that kid. Uh,
- 23:08Speaker 3: Victor winbin Yama. So yeah, I just think it's sick.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Just so we can stop asking these questions, we are
- 23:13Speaker 3: not going we are not interested in Lebron. Sorry Broun.
- 23:16Speaker 5: What if Lebron would have considered the Spurs, but the
- 23:19Speaker 5: Spurs doing this preemptive breakup with him, fuels Lebron, Like,
- 23:25Speaker 5: what if Lebron is so petty that he's like, now,
- 23:27Speaker 5: I really want to stick it to the Spurs. Who
- 23:29Speaker 5: hates the Spurs right now? Who hates Victor wemm Minyama,
- 23:32Speaker 5: the New York Knanks, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Yeah, quite flexible, Taylor, the way you're twisting yourself around
- 23:40Speaker 3: to try to get this Lebron James into New York
- 23:42Speaker 3: because it's just not gonna happen.
- 23:44Speaker 4: I can't it could happen?
- 23:45Speaker 3: Is he okay?
- 23:46Speaker 4: It could? I can't believe that Taylor has opened his
- 23:49Speaker 4: mind to the idea of Lebron coming there and he's
- 23:51Speaker 4: okay with it.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Well, he's lost Mitchell Robinson, so he needs something to
- 23:53Speaker 3: replace the guy.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, not a terrible loss. If you want
- 23:56Speaker 1: to lose one of the guys from this team, it
- 23:57Speaker 1: would be Mitchell Robinson.
- 23:58Speaker 3: I don't know, man, that guy was clutch in certain part,
- 24:01Speaker 3: Like there was so many games where you just couldn't
- 24:03Speaker 3: get a rebound. That dude just kept getting offensive rebounds,
- 24:05Speaker 3: and it was just like, I think they need this guy.
- 24:08Speaker 5: You say, clutch, Lebron Clutch connections with the Knicks a
- 24:12Speaker 5: lot of ties to this Knicks organization.
- 24:15Speaker 3: You know you're the only one saying that, right.
- 24:18Speaker 5: And also, I'll tell you exactly what happened with Lebron.
- 24:22Speaker 5: The Knicks have to fill out the rest of their roster,
- 24:24Speaker 5: most likely with people on the VET minimum. I did
- 24:27Speaker 5: not think Lebron was in play for the VET minimum.
- 24:31Speaker 5: So the second Lebron said that, that's when I started
- 24:33Speaker 5: to change my tune and just thinking, Hey, if our
- 24:37Speaker 5: two options right now for the VET minimum are Nick
- 24:40Speaker 5: Richards and Dayron Sharp or Andre Drummond or Lebron James. Yes, listen,
- 24:47Speaker 5: I can only play the cards I'm dealt. Yeah, if
- 24:51Speaker 5: Lebron's the VET minimum card, I'll play that card every time.
- 24:53Speaker 1: It'd be the greatest value in the history of sports man.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I mean maybe Mahomes on a rookie contract. I mean, seri,
- 25:00Speaker 1: Lebron on a minimum contract of the NBA.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Yeah, if you can get a guy that's guaranteed to
- 25:05Speaker 3: give you, let's say, nineteen seven and six R at
- 25:08Speaker 3: the minimum.
- 25:09Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the hell of a bargain.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I mean he gave you like twenty one, six and
- 25:12Speaker 1: five a year ago, and of the three guys on
- 25:15Speaker 1: that team, Reeves, Luca and Lebron. The only one healthy
- 25:19Speaker 1: in the playoffs was the guy who's forty one years old.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Can I ask a baseball question at the weirdest time?
- 25:26Speaker 4: It is the honest time.
- 25:27Speaker 3: You wouldn't expect me to move on from a Lebron
- 25:29Speaker 3: James conversation to a baseball conversation, But I got to
- 25:31Speaker 3: ask the Yankees fans in the room a question.
- 25:33Speaker 1: All right, I mean, it's World Cup, USA plays tonight,
- 25:36Speaker 1: Lebron free agency, We're waiting on Jaylen Brown in a trade.
- 25:39Speaker 4: I mean, there's something the Kelsey wedding.
- 25:40Speaker 3: I mean, there's so much going on happening. Yeah, But
- 25:43Speaker 3: most importantly, the Miami Marlins are on fire. They are
- 25:46Speaker 3: the hottest team in June. I saw where Jeff co
- 25:49Speaker 3: Nine's son who's on the team, said that this reminds
- 25:52Speaker 3: him somehow, I don't even know if he was alive.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Reminds him of the two thousand and three team that
- 25:56Speaker 3: won the World Series. And when you see and we
- 25:59Speaker 3: obviously know they're Hayroll is bottom of the league, right, Yea,
- 26:03Speaker 3: Taylor and Mikey. If you are a fan of a
- 26:06Speaker 3: team like the Yankees that spends like crazy, and hasn't
- 26:10Speaker 3: won since. What nine?
- 26:11Speaker 4: Is that right?
- 26:12Speaker 5: Correct?
- 26:13Speaker 3: What do you think? What feelings go through you when
- 26:15Speaker 3: you see the teams like the Marlins, specifically this Marlins team,
- 26:18Speaker 3: or like previous Raised teams or A's teams in the past.
- 26:21Speaker 5: Is he I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't
- 26:23Speaker 5: give the Marlins two thoughts because I look at that
- 26:25Speaker 5: Marlins team. The Marlins might as well be in all
- 26:28Speaker 5: you could eat buffet for the Yankees, where no matter
- 26:31Speaker 5: how good the Marlins do, I'm looking at that Marlins
- 26:34Speaker 5: team like, wow, oh, in case he's really good, the
- 26:36Speaker 5: Yankees could probably trade for him in two years when
- 26:38Speaker 5: the Marlins decide they don't want to pay for him.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Oh Sandy second time? Yeah, Yeah, we're.
- 26:43Speaker 5: Gonna load up on Sandy. We're gonna load up on
- 26:46Speaker 5: Griffin co nine. And then your thought processes, Oh, who
- 26:49Speaker 5: do the Yankees have to trade to get these guys?
- 26:51Speaker 5: It doesn't really matter who we have to trade to
- 26:53Speaker 5: get these guys because once they get good on the Marlins,
- 26:55Speaker 5: we could trade.
- 26:55Speaker 4: Back for them. You'll get them back, that's right, Go ahead.
- 26:58Speaker 6: My kid asked me if we could go to a
- 27:00Speaker 6: Yankees minor league game, and I said, I'm not flying
- 27:02Speaker 6: to min.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Yeah, so you guys view it as your minor league.
- 27:08Speaker 3: That's such a like I honestly had I thought your
- 27:10Speaker 3: answer was gonna be we hate those teams. We're supposed
- 27:13Speaker 3: to be on level playing field and they just have
- 27:15Speaker 3: some sort of advantage that doesn't make sense. That is
- 27:17Speaker 3: the best possible answer. It's like we see them as
- 27:20Speaker 3: future Yankees, that's all it is.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Yet they beat them in two thousand and three of
- 27:23Speaker 1: the World Series that you referenced, it was the Marlins
- 27:25Speaker 1: over the Yankees, and you guys have no hatred for
- 27:27Speaker 1: the for the Marlins whatsoever.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Well, how many of those Marlins ended up busy Yankees?
- 27:31Speaker 3: That's a good question.
- 27:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Who else?
- 27:35Speaker 4: Yeah, he was a Red Sox. Miche the Red Sox. Yeah,
- 27:39Speaker 4: Michae Lowell went to the Red Sox.
- 27:40Speaker 6: Hodge Lodge was a Yankee.
- 27:43Speaker 5: Codge was a Yankee.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, so there's a few of them, see
- 27:46Speaker 3: the path, Mikey.
- 27:48Speaker 5: Right now, I'm looking at this Marlins roster and the
- 27:50Speaker 5: guy that's catching my eye Max Meyer.
- 27:52Speaker 3: No, he's so good.
- 27:53Speaker 5: I'm watching Max Meyer nine to oh two point six
- 27:55Speaker 5: e R. And I'm saying short King to Riccardo just said,
- 28:02Speaker 5: get your grubby hands.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Off MaTx mort That's right. Well, there's nothing Ricardo could
- 28:06Speaker 4: do about it. Unfortunately, he will be a Yankee. One debt.
- 28:12Speaker 3: That is so sad.
- 28:13Speaker 1: It doesn't drive like do the Rays drive you guys crazy?
- 28:16Speaker 1: They're not spending nearly as much as the Yankees.
- 28:18Speaker 6: I mean, no, they don't drive us crazy. They're just
- 28:22Speaker 6: they're just more involved because we play them more. Right,
- 28:25Speaker 6: So you see them and you're.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Like, ah, I hate that guy, can't wait for him
- 28:28Speaker 3: to be a Yankee.
- 28:28Speaker 4: But I think is he is asking in general?
- 28:30Speaker 1: Does it infuriate you just a sport of baseball in
- 28:33Speaker 1: general where you could spend, you know, fifty million dollars
- 28:36Speaker 1: and have the same outcome as a team that spends
- 28:38Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty million.
- 28:39Speaker 5: The only teams that infuriate me are teams that just
- 28:42Speaker 5: spend more than the Yankees, because I'm looking at them
- 28:45Speaker 5: and just saying, man, that used to be.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Us, right, how's that possible?
- 28:48Speaker 5: We'll just spend their money more efficiently, or just throwing
- 28:51Speaker 5: so much money that you're not even thinking about efficiency,
- 28:53Speaker 5: which should be the Yankees op. The Yankees way.
- 28:56Speaker 4: What a weird team that O three Morehlands team was.
- 28:59Speaker 3: What a fun team Trader Jack two, Champ two World
- 29:03Speaker 3: Series in my life, never thought i'd see that.
- 29:05Speaker 1: I ran out of names of Marlins who possibly played
- 29:08Speaker 1: for the Yankees because that team was so random and
- 29:10Speaker 1: obscure that I don't remember all the names.
- 29:15Speaker 4: What a time? Who played short stuff?
- 29:17Speaker 3: Alex Gonzaud. He's not sure though,
