- 0:08Speaker 1: Terrible advice Shot. Hello, and welcome to the Naughty Button
- 0:15Speaker 1: Night Show. I'm your host, Rab Shooter, and it is Monday,
- 0:19Speaker 1: and we have so much gossip to get to Garretty's
- 0:22Speaker 1: after day and we have a very special show all
- 0:26Speaker 1: about Prince Harry, the book, the interviews. Oh my goodness.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Over the weekend, this story exploded. Normally, when I sit
- 0:36Speaker 1: down and think about what we're going to talk about
- 0:39Speaker 1: on our podcast, I sometimes worry that there won't be
- 0:43Speaker 1: enough gossip for five days a week, for twenty minutes
- 0:47Speaker 1: a day. We don't have to worry about that today,
- 0:51Speaker 1: as you saw on Friday's show, when we really dug
- 0:54Speaker 1: deep into the Harry drama, there's more than enough. There's
- 0:57Speaker 1: hours and hours worth of god sippier news here, celebrity details.
- 1:02Speaker 1: So we've picked out the most important details, the stuff
- 1:06Speaker 1: everybody is going to be talking about. Are you ready?
- 1:09Speaker 1: What time is it? My friends? It is tea time.
- 1:14Speaker 1: So did you see the big sixty minute interview that
- 1:17Speaker 1: Harry did with Anderson Cooper. Everybody is talking about that.
- 1:22Speaker 1: The book comes out tomorrow. We know it was leaked
- 1:25Speaker 1: early in Spain, so by accidents, they put the books
- 1:29Speaker 1: out on the shelv and everybody rushed to Spain. Literally,
- 1:33Speaker 1: there was news organizations putting people on flights to Spain
- 1:38Speaker 1: to get this book. I know of one news organization
- 1:41Speaker 1: where every person who spoke Spanish speaks Spanish, had to
- 1:45Speaker 1: give up their weekends just to translate this book. So
- 1:49Speaker 1: we've got a ton of information about the book, about
- 1:52Speaker 1: the interview with Anderson Cooper. But what I want to
- 1:54Speaker 1: focus on today is what's going to happen next. That
- 1:58Speaker 1: is so important and that's our leads story. Are you ready?
- 2:02Speaker 1: So sources are saying that King Charles is willing hoping
- 2:06Speaker 1: to reconcile with Prince Harry to avoid quote open warfare.
- 2:12Speaker 1: So the King has never given up hope of reconciling
- 2:16Speaker 1: with his son Harry, despite all the revelations and accusations allegations.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Charles believes that one day he will be reunited with
- 2:27Speaker 1: his son. At the moment, both sides have a stalemate.
- 2:32Speaker 1: They're both convinced the ball is in the other's court.
- 2:37Speaker 1: So Harry thinks it's up to his dad to make
- 2:39Speaker 1: the first move. King Charles thinks it's up to his
- 2:42Speaker 1: son to make the first moves. At the moment, there
- 2:45Speaker 1: is stalemate. But inside us tell me it's not gonna
- 2:49Speaker 1: last for long because both of them want this to
- 2:52Speaker 1: be over. So there has been no contact, no contact
- 2:56Speaker 1: between them since the Duke's memoir broke in Spain in
- 3:00Speaker 1: on Thursday. They didn't speak. They should have picked up
- 3:03Speaker 1: a phone that day, shouldn't they? But Alas I hope
- 3:06Speaker 1: they will. However, those close to the king are aware
- 3:11Speaker 1: that the only way out of this mess is reconciliation.
- 3:16Speaker 1: However difficult that is going to be, and it will
- 3:19Speaker 1: be difficult. It is considered the only way they will
- 3:23Speaker 1: avoid open warfare over the coming years, which neither one wants.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Harry is angry. He's finally told his side of the story.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But moving forward, what does he want tomorrow? I asked
- 3:37Speaker 1: several of his friends. They said he doesn't want a long,
- 3:40Speaker 1: dragged out war with his family, with his dad. He
- 3:43Speaker 1: even spoke on one of those interviews yesterday about wanting reconciliation,
- 3:48Speaker 1: wanting to find some sort of happy ending to this
- 3:52Speaker 1: really unhappy story, and so he wants it. My inside
- 3:57Speaker 1: has telled me Charles wanted, so hopefully this will happen,
- 4:01Speaker 1: sources say quote. Although Harry resents the role he was
- 4:05Speaker 1: dealt within the institution. It is the fact that they
- 4:08Speaker 1: are father and son that will ultimately bring them back together.
- 4:14Speaker 1: What father does not forgive their son. Sources are saying
- 4:19Speaker 1: that his brother is anxious and sad about this. He's
- 4:23Speaker 1: less likely to make peace at the moment. William is
- 4:26Speaker 1: a lot more angry than Charles. But Charles is not
- 4:29Speaker 1: in a terrible place. All those stories that you're reading
- 4:33Speaker 1: that Charles is livid are just not true. My sources
- 4:36Speaker 1: tell me he's sad. He's not so much angry. He's
- 4:39Speaker 1: just sad and he wants this to be over. He's
- 4:44Speaker 1: going to be coronated soon. The King will talk about
- 4:47Speaker 1: that a little bit later, but it's going to be coronated,
- 4:50Speaker 1: and it's just a few months away, and he wants
- 4:52Speaker 1: this all out of the way by then. So I
- 4:55Speaker 1: think we're actually going to see peace sooner than later,
- 4:59Speaker 1: which brings us to our whole question of the day.
- 5:01Speaker 1: King Charles is willing to reconcile with Prince Harry to
- 5:04Speaker 1: avoid quote open warfare. A question is would you be
- 5:09Speaker 1: able to forgive if you were Harry's mom or dad.
- 5:13Speaker 1: If you were Harry's parents, could you forgive Hey, go
- 5:16Speaker 1: vote un actual a page at naughty nice Raba facebook
- 5:19Speaker 1: page is naughty gozib and be sure to check back
- 5:22Speaker 1: to morrow to hear your results. Hey, moving along, Prince
- 5:27Speaker 1: Harry could be denied residency in the US over his
- 5:32Speaker 1: drug use. So immigration experts are saying that Prince Harry
- 5:38Speaker 1: could be denied residency in America if, in fact he
- 5:43Speaker 1: did not disclose his drug use. In fact, he would
- 5:47Speaker 1: have lied. So everybody must answer questions about the history
- 5:53Speaker 1: of their drug use when applying for a visa or
- 5:57Speaker 1: a permanent residency. I know when I got my green card,
- 6:01Speaker 1: I had to answer questions. Harry has extensively detailed in
- 6:05Speaker 1: his memoir that he took drugs. He claimed he took
- 6:10Speaker 1: drugs to help him find the truth psychedelic drugs. However,
- 6:15Speaker 1: if he had admitted to take in drugs on his
- 6:19Speaker 1: form to get his residency, he probably would have been denied. Equally,
- 6:26Speaker 1: if he lying on the form, he's in just as
- 6:29Speaker 1: much trouble. Immigration attorneys are saying he most likely got
- 6:33Speaker 1: a green card through his wife, who's a US citizen.
- 6:36Speaker 1: But nevertheless, you do have to talk about this one.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Inside it Tommy quote. If he wasn't Prince Harry. If
- 6:43Speaker 1: he was, like saying Rob Shooter Fred Jones and he
- 6:47Speaker 1: had this kind of background, there'd be a lot of scrutiny.
- 6:50Speaker 1: And I certainly don't see him getting a green card.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Really really interesting. Back to the drugs. He's admitted that
- 6:57Speaker 1: he took drugs, smoking cannabis in the gardens of Kensington
- 7:02Speaker 1: Palace and at school at Eton. And he also it's
- 7:04Speaker 1: now to take in cocaine and magic mushrooms. Remember when
- 7:07Speaker 1: he was in Vegas and he was naked. There's photographs
- 7:10Speaker 1: scene around the world. At the time, he denied being
- 7:12Speaker 1: on drugs. Now in the book he does confess he
- 7:15Speaker 1: was on cocaine. Moving along, Prince Harry has been written
- 7:20Speaker 1: out of King Charles's coron Nation in May after writing
- 7:24Speaker 1: this tell Or book, so any potential role that Harry
- 7:27Speaker 1: may have played in his dad's King charles Is coron
- 7:31Speaker 1: Nation has been scrapped as more revelations from the book emerge.
- 7:36Speaker 1: The Duke of Sussex has effectively been written out of
- 7:39Speaker 1: the script for the Carron Nation, with no official role
- 7:43Speaker 1: in the services. If he attends, and that's still a
- 7:46Speaker 1: big if. We don't know if he's going to go.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I'll tell you about that in a moment. So the
- 7:50Speaker 1: traditional elements of the ceremony would include Harry in his
- 7:55Speaker 1: duke's role, and he would be at the coron nation
- 7:58Speaker 1: with his brother, who's all so a duke, and these
- 8:01Speaker 1: two would kneel and pay homage to the monarch that
- 8:05Speaker 1: has been scrapped. And now only William will perform that role.
- 8:09Speaker 1: So as things stand right now today, this moment, there
- 8:12Speaker 1: is no role for Harry in the service. Now, friends
- 8:16Speaker 1: do believe that, if invited, he will attend the coronation
- 8:20Speaker 1: on Masis at Westminster Abby. My sources tell me he
- 8:23Speaker 1: will be invited, no formal role. He won't be there
- 8:27Speaker 1: as a working member of the royal family. He will
- 8:29Speaker 1: be there as a son, and he'll be sitting with Megan.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Not in the best seats. They will be reserved for
- 8:35Speaker 1: William and Kate, to members of the working royal family. Family,
- 8:38Speaker 1: but he will indeed be invited. Asked if he would
- 8:42Speaker 1: attend the ceremony if he was invited, the Duke of
- 8:46Speaker 1: Sussex said, quote, A lot that can happen between now
- 8:50Speaker 1: and then. The door is always open, the ball is
- 8:54Speaker 1: in their court. We just talked about this didn't Well,
- 8:56Speaker 1: there's been a lot to discuss, and I really hope
- 8:59Speaker 1: that willing to sit down and talk about it. As
- 9:02Speaker 1: we detailed in our first story at the top of
- 9:05Speaker 1: the show, they are maybe not William, but Charles King.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Charles is not only willing, he wants to find a solution.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Talking this through is not really his style. They're not
- 9:18Speaker 1: the sort of family that talk about their problems. They
- 9:20Speaker 1: sweep them under the rug, which in the long run
- 9:23Speaker 1: never helps, does it. So that's why we're in the
- 9:25Speaker 1: position we're in right now. This family just didn't talk
- 9:28Speaker 1: about their problems. But what Charles is willing to talk about,
- 9:31Speaker 1: wants to talk about, is moving forward. I thought this
- 9:35Speaker 1: story was remarkable. We broke it on our show. Bucking
- 9:39Speaker 1: and Palace did indeed create a war rumor to respond
- 9:44Speaker 1: to Harry, but their worst fears did not come to light.
- 9:48Speaker 1: So the Royal staff spent weeks combing through every possible
- 9:52Speaker 1: scenario that Harry could describe in the new book in
- 9:55Speaker 1: a desperate bid to avoid being blindsided. So insiderers say
- 10:01Speaker 1: that nobody at the Palace was sent a preview copy.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Nobody got it, so they all found out about it
- 10:07Speaker 1: like the rest of us, through press interviews, through leaks,
- 10:11Speaker 1: many many conversations and clashes were expected to be exposed
- 10:16Speaker 1: in the book. They did think, they did know that
- 10:18Speaker 1: Harry would talk about his physical fight with his brother William,
- 10:22Speaker 1: and a small team within the palace has been doing
- 10:26Speaker 1: nothing but focus on responses. Sources say quote. They have
- 10:30Speaker 1: been war gaming every single dispute, every clash the Duke
- 10:35Speaker 1: has had with his family that they feared he would
- 10:37Speaker 1: make public in the book. So obviously every fight that
- 10:40Speaker 1: he's had with the family they know about. So the
- 10:43Speaker 1: family was asked to detail all their dramas with Harry,
- 10:46Speaker 1: to write them down and give them the staff so
- 10:49Speaker 1: the staff could think of a solution. And so the
- 10:53Speaker 1: aids knew about everything that has happened, and then the
- 10:57Speaker 1: stories leaked out, they ticked them off the list, and
- 10:59Speaker 1: I'm told there is actually more stuff on the list
- 11:02Speaker 1: that are still not come out. So they are deciding
- 11:07Speaker 1: whether or not to respond. Will know this tomorrow when
- 11:10Speaker 1: the book is officially released. Inside is a telling me
- 11:13Speaker 1: there's no reason to fuel the fire. So unless Harry
- 11:18Speaker 1: attacks an individual member of the family that is potentially
- 11:22Speaker 1: so damaging for the future that they have to respond.
- 11:25Speaker 1: They would rather not respond to this, sources say, quote,
- 11:30Speaker 1: this is what they do. This is how the family operate.
- 11:33Speaker 1: They anticipate challenges and prepare for them. The notion that
- 11:37Speaker 1: they would be nervous or anxious does not reflect the reality.
- 11:43Speaker 1: They are always steady and prepared and will ensure that
- 11:47Speaker 1: they have a formulated response to any potential claim. And
- 11:51Speaker 1: they always remain calm under pressure. That's like a motto
- 11:56Speaker 1: of the Royal family. I worked for the Princess Michael
- 11:59Speaker 1: of ken when she was in America on book tour.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I worked as her publicist, and so I know this
- 12:05Speaker 1: family a little bit. This is all absolutely true. They
- 12:08Speaker 1: are prepared, they are calm. Remember it's not just the family,
- 12:12Speaker 1: it's a business. And they had the best PR people
- 12:16Speaker 1: in the world working for them, advising them, and any
- 12:20Speaker 1: good PR person would tell you that before a story breaks,
- 12:24Speaker 1: get all the evidence, be prepared. So they went around
- 12:27Speaker 1: the family. What is Harry going to talk about? What
- 12:29Speaker 1: has happened with Harry? Detail it all now so we
- 12:32Speaker 1: can think of a response rather than just sitting here
- 12:35Speaker 1: sitting like ducks, lame ducks, waiting for Harry to say something. Outrageous.
- 12:41Speaker 1: So so far they are not that shocked. So far,
- 12:45Speaker 1: they are not that shocked, and the potentially could have
- 12:48Speaker 1: even been worse. Maybe the most dramatic story to emerge
- 12:52Speaker 1: from the book is that Harry revealed he killed twenty
- 12:56Speaker 1: five Taliban fighters during his second tour of Afghanistan. Now,
- 13:02Speaker 1: an ex Royal marine is responding to Harry's claims, telling
- 13:06Speaker 1: him to shut up. The revelation marks the first time
- 13:10Speaker 1: that Harry has discussed the number of people he personally
- 13:13Speaker 1: killed during his military service. Harry served as a British
- 13:18Speaker 1: Army officer for ten years. He was known as Captain
- 13:22Speaker 1: Harry Wales in the Army and he was deployed twice
- 13:25Speaker 1: to Afghanistan in two thousand and seven and then again
- 13:28Speaker 1: in two thousand and twelve. He loved his time working
- 13:32Speaker 1: in the service. He loved this part of his life.
- 13:35Speaker 1: He said it was the first time he wasn't the
- 13:36Speaker 1: Spare is the first time he was out of Williams shadow.
- 13:40Speaker 1: He also writes that during his second tour he flew
- 13:44Speaker 1: missions that resulted in the loss of life. He writes
- 13:48Speaker 1: in Spare that he thought of Taliban fighters as quote
- 13:51Speaker 1: chess pieces, being taken off the board at the time.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Harry's comments have really sparked out rage from members of
- 14:01Speaker 1: the public, from people in the military and even Taliban officials.
- 14:05Speaker 1: People are saying that these are not chess pieces, Harry,
- 14:09Speaker 1: they are human beings. Quote the ones you killed are
- 14:12Speaker 1: not chess pieces. They are human beings and they had
- 14:15Speaker 1: families who were waiting for them to return. Now. Former
- 14:19Speaker 1: Royal Marine Ben McBean, who lost two limbs in Afghanistan
- 14:24Speaker 1: and shared a flight out of the war zone with Harry.
- 14:27Speaker 1: He was with Harry, has tweeted that the Prince needs
- 14:30Speaker 1: to quote shut up. Makes you wonder the people he's
- 14:33Speaker 1: hanging around with. If it was good people, someone by
- 14:37Speaker 1: now would have told him to stop. People are really
- 14:42Speaker 1: really angry about this. People too in the British Army
- 14:46Speaker 1: are saying this is absolutely not how the British Army works.
- 14:50Speaker 1: They do not dehumanize people and they certainly are not
- 14:54Speaker 1: chess pieces to be knocked over. Hey, we're going to
- 14:58Speaker 1: take a quick break from we would be right back,
- 15:02Speaker 1: welcome back to the Norty. But mishow on Rob Shooter
- 15:04Speaker 1: with that special episode about Prince Harry. Hey, let's get
- 15:08Speaker 1: to the nicest of the day to stop pretending to
- 15:12Speaker 1: be shocked by Harry's book, because in fact he's just
- 15:15Speaker 1: following in the footsteps of his own mom and dad.
- 15:17Speaker 1: So a lot of people are very angry about this book.
- 15:20Speaker 1: But a friend of Harry and Megan's points out that
- 15:24Speaker 1: Diana actually shared her truth to Andrew Morton in a
- 15:27Speaker 1: telebook in and Get This, Charles turned to the BBC
- 15:31Speaker 1: journalist Jonathan Dimbleby in to writer Once in a Lifetime
- 15:37Speaker 1: biography about his life so he could be better understood.
- 15:41Speaker 1: The then Prince of Wales spent countless hours sitting for
- 15:45Speaker 1: interviews with Dimbleby. He also provided access to his friends
- 15:49Speaker 1: and his aids, and he even opened up his archives
- 15:53Speaker 1: to about ten thousand private letters. The story emerged of
- 15:57Speaker 1: Charles is really repressed childhood, how he detached from his
- 16:01Speaker 1: absentee mother who was preoccupied with her career the queen
- 16:05Speaker 1: rather than showing him any warmth. It also to said
- 16:09Speaker 1: he had a judgmental father who wanted him to be
- 16:11Speaker 1: more thick skinned and more aggressive. For Charles at the
- 16:15Speaker 1: time in the nineties, the response was very intense. People
- 16:19Speaker 1: accused him of attacking his family and disgracing the monarchy,
- 16:23Speaker 1: and newspaper polls and even opinion pieces declared him unfit
- 16:28Speaker 1: to ever be king, and some journalists even suggested he
- 16:32Speaker 1: should be stripped of his titles. Does that sound familiar?
- 16:37Speaker 1: M A lot of people are saying that this is unprecedented.
- 16:42Speaker 1: The truth is Charles did it, and so did Diana,
- 16:46Speaker 1: and now Harry is following in the footsteps of both
- 16:50Speaker 1: his parents. Yes, this is more aggressive than either one
- 16:53Speaker 1: of those books, and yes, Harry's names on the cover.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Diana and Charles both used journalists that elite to that
- 17:00Speaker 1: they sat with, that they discussed to get their story across.
- 17:04Speaker 1: But Harry did his really saying no, I'm going to
- 17:07Speaker 1: stand up and put my own name on it. So
- 17:09Speaker 1: we've got to give him some credit for that. Let's
- 17:13Speaker 1: do our naughtiest of the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty. Harry
- 17:16Speaker 1: is consumed by anger and he needs to start showing
- 17:20Speaker 1: a softer side, said a royal expert. So a new
- 17:24Speaker 1: opinion polls shares the only about one third of the
- 17:27Speaker 1: people in Britain have a positive view of him. Forty
- 17:30Speaker 1: three percent of people in Britain thinks he should lose
- 17:33Speaker 1: his royal title Victoria Arbutter, who is a friend of mine.
- 17:37Speaker 1: She is the daughter of Queen Elizabeth the Second's former
- 17:41Speaker 1: press secretary, and she actually lived in Kensington Palace. So
- 17:46Speaker 1: she's saying that Harry needs to show a softer side
- 17:49Speaker 1: of himself to regain any public sympathy. Quote. Harry appears
- 17:55Speaker 1: to be so consumed with anger that is going to
- 17:57Speaker 1: need Sunday's interviews, the two interviews he'd yesterday humanize him
- 18:01Speaker 1: if he's gonna garner any public sympathy. Anderson Cooper, Let's
- 18:06Speaker 1: remember he lost his dad when he was ten years old.
- 18:09Speaker 1: And Bradbury, who interviewed Harry in Britain, he had a
- 18:12Speaker 1: breakdown in and so it's going to be interesting after
- 18:16Speaker 1: both of those interviews to see if they softened Harry
- 18:20Speaker 1: and his rage at all. I've now almost finished the book,
- 18:24Speaker 1: and i gotta tell you it's full of rage, and
- 18:28Speaker 1: it's not about Megan or Kate. This is about William
- 18:32Speaker 1: and Harry. And what's interesting to me is in the
- 18:34Speaker 1: book it's very clear that the long before Megan and
- 18:37Speaker 1: Kate showed up, Harry really was full of rage towards
- 18:42Speaker 1: his brother. And that's why the book is called spare.
- 18:46Speaker 1: It's about being constantly in the shadow of your brother.
- 18:50Speaker 1: It's about constantly being number two. It's about constantly people
- 18:56Speaker 1: not making you a priority. And let's be honest, something
- 19:00Speaker 1: most of us can sympathize with. Hey, listen with a
- 19:04Speaker 1: moment of Rob. You getta Rob, You getta Rob, You
- 19:06Speaker 1: getta Rob. So for twenty minutes we bring you all
- 19:08Speaker 1: the celebrity gossip. Today it was all Harry, but we
- 19:10Speaker 1: always ended with an uplifting quote, something a little bit
- 19:12Speaker 1: more deep. It takes just the moments. Today's quote fittingly
- 19:16Speaker 1: comes from Princess Diana. She said the following quote. When
- 19:20Speaker 1: you are happy, you can forgive a great deal. Harry.
- 19:27Speaker 1: We all want to see you happy. I'm not convinced
- 19:30Speaker 1: you are. This book is angry, rightfully, So this book
- 19:35Speaker 1: feels like it's about revenge. Now you've told your story.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Now I want you to find happiness, and when you
- 19:43Speaker 1: can do that, you will be able to forgive. That's
- 19:47Speaker 1: it for today. Thank you so much for listening to
- 19:50Speaker 1: The Naughty but Nice with Rob Show, a production of

- 20:11Speaker 1: you've got to be nice. Take care. Everyone likes you.
- 20:17Speaker 1: It's not even nice with B
