- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's fuck ya Friday!
- 0:01[SPEAKER_02]: Fuck you!
- 0:03[SPEAKER_02]: Get ready for some wins!
- 0:28[SPEAKER_02]: and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_02]: Each week, my guests will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it until you see it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, be it babe.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: How are you?
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, we're here, end of the month.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: What a wake.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: That could be a celebration.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: You made it.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: you didn't give up.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: You're listening to this podcast, which is a win for me.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: So it's one for you.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: No, seriously, but thank you for being here.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for listening to the Beat Pod all these years.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: I hope this serves you.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: I know if it does, please tell me in a review.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: That'd be so great.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: Send your wins into the beapod.com slash questions.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'll also send your questions in that you would like Brad and I too, you know, answer for you and support you.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: It could be anything.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so this blew my mind made me pissed off and so, but like in a fired up way.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I think like that's what we need to be.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: I know we will feel good, Melissa, the podcast, hello.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: But in you, we need our part of this as well.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: We actually need to take this all back.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: And so this inspiration came from Wom Wisdom with Shavita.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a carousel post and she's like, Metapaz wasn't a decline.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: It was colonized.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: So before a patriarchy, the menopausal woman was the oracle.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: She was the healer.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: She was the memory keeper, the voice of the village.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: She held the kind of wisdom you cannot buy, silence or control, so they feared her.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: When the witch hunts began, they weren't just killing women, they were erasing the power of menopause itself, a woman who no longer bleeds cannot be controlled.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: She doesn't fear pregnancy, she doesn't fear judgment, she doesn't bend to the rules of a world she already sees through, she becomes dangerous to the system.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: So they burned her, they silenced her, they rewrote her story, and in that smoke they replaced the oracle with the diagnosis.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: menopause became decline, drying up, the end, a medical problem set of a spiritual rising.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: And this was no accident.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: The system knew if they get to the women, they get to the womb, if they get to the womb, they silence the elders, if they silence the elders, the children will forget when the children forget the whole world becomes easy to control.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: This is how they shape generations of women to fear aging for your institution, fear their own power.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: This is how the world forgot the truth of the Oracle years.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: But the turning has begun 1.2 billion women are now in dream menopause, 1.2 billion.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: And the same threshold they try to destroy, this is a planetary shift.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: 1.2 billion voices rising, 1.2 billion nervous system waking up, 1.2 billion wounds remembering the system doesn't stand a chance.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: The only question now is when will we use the voices women were burned for or will we stay silent?
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: We already know the answer.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: So I am really obsessed with this because I do look obviously as you go through menopause.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: There's all these different symptoms that happen through your body and I think it's so important to that you educate yourself before as much as you can and then during and advocate for yourself because there are tools that are out there to support you through this and as we know as I know from the women who are all of the me who gone through like it is beautiful on the other side so we gotta go
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: and if it is not to make sure that the people younger than us do not understand how freaking powerful they are and all the options that are out there then you know what is the point so if there's another book that this post reminds me of it's called she caused a riot and I'm so sorry I don't have the author's name on top of my head she caused a riot so interesting because I was reading the book and I was like a lot of women leaders like thousands of years ago
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on?
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like in the, you know, all these different times BC, any of these, all these women leaders, and they're also there's none.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: None, and it just was like, oh, so because they changed the history, you know, and so we can take it back.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's what we need to do.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: And so, be until you see it doesn't have to be that you become like some sort of political figure in your world, but it can be that you become maybe the voice in your community.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's reminding women of how powerful they are.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: And reminding the men around us that, like, the patriarch isn't good for them either.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's not good for anybody.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, when people have to fall into a role, it's not good.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: So, anyways, all right.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's your inspiration for that today.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: Now, let's go to your wins that you sent in.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: This one is from Melissa Nagai.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm running a math class.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: She's from Canada.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: She sells a PC flashcards in Canada.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: She's also an agency, a PC member.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: I was running math classes weekend where my for my teacher trainees to observe and it filled up in a day.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: actually over-felling as I made a mistake on my schedule, we will make it work.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: I decided to run a monthly session for teachers, I'm calling it core connections, for Pilates teachers.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's open to six people and I have four signed up, plus several others are intercepted by timing as a work.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: Hugh Mungus, first of all, wait a great community, Meloset, it's not easy, and when you first start it, like
- 5:37[SPEAKER_01]: the timing never works for people.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: People say they want things and then it's like the timing never works and you have to quickly find out like there's no time that it will work, but eventually they make it work because they want to be near what you're creating.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: So just keep going with that.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so stoked for you.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I love when we make a mistake and it over fills and we go, oh, actually I could do it with six people.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: I could do it with five.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes these mistakes are like these little happy magical accidents.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: So we to go,
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: just continue to show up each and every day for you and the people that you believe in the impact you want to make on this world.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's inspiring.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: And thank you for sharing with us.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: All right, my win.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_01]: So my win is I've had this one before.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sharing it again because I'm constantly like proud of what we do.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: So each and every year I decide like, okay, I need more time here, any more space here, and maybe more I had here.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: And then I've told you guys like sometimes you realize like one of the examples is in November of 2024 I got sick and so then I got behind for November in early 2025.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: So my illness in November caused a domino effect of things not being done on time in early 2025 and there was a scrambles.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: So then, you know, obviously my sister and I went to the drawing board how can we get more heads in case something happens.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: We're not rushing, of course, in November of 2025.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: I was still...
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: still getting everything done, just right before we left.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: And that's okay, like things happened.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, what I'm recording right now is a re-record.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I would actually have a little bit more time today, but this is a re-record because we're great, retrograde.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: That being said, I got better at noticing how much more time I wanted to have on certain projects so they weren't rushed.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I can sit here today and celebrate that I got to be super present for multiple visitors on February.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: multiple my slingshot bestie a podcast guest slash i think we coach for a long time we've had so many people coming through these doors and February it's almost like I should take it a month off and because of how far ahead we got ourselves for the beginning of twenty twenty six last year in twenty twenty five I was able to be present and I just want to say like if you are feeling overwhelmed near burnout
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: one, take some breaks.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: You need to, and you need to figure out what fills your cup.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: Listen to the burnout episodes.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: Listen to ourself a lot of episodes.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: Listen to our habit episodes.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: Two.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: Two.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: Very important.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: You may have to get behind to get ahead, but I highly recommend that you figure out a way to create more space in your life and not be so to the wire on things, and that is as an ADHD person who loves to procrastinate, like lives off it, like says, I used to be proud of the papers I would write the night before, yes, I would have 48, 48, 48 page paper, the two days of what was due, and I got a beat plus, and he said, I would have gotten an A hat I written it three days before.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: because I thought I was a time to read it.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: That all being said, at some point, you have to give yourself space.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: Just do not run on that adrenaline all the time.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: And so my win is that I have each and every year created more and more space for the following year for the person I'm going to become.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm continuing to look at how I'm doing that this year for next year already, even though it's February.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: So there's no one.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: All right, your mantra for the week,
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: This is a good one.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: I take care of my body.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: I take care of my body.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: I take care of my body.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: I take care of my body.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: I take care of my body.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: I take care of my body.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: I take care of my body.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: Of course you do, babe.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go take care of that body and have an amazing day.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: Be it so you see it.
