  the the people protesting his protest drunk uh there was definitely some drunk

  people there but yeah i' never seen anything like that there was a guy yeah

  he was up with he had a megaphone and he was just kind of yelling at everybody

  about Jesus and and how they uh maybe they should rethink where they're at and

  don't be Sinners and blah blah blah blah blah and uh and then yeah there were a

  bunch of people with signs crowded like like facing outward around him some you

  know with a Flying Spaghetti Monster on her and was a PL protest of his protest

  just yelling at everybody but one group who I saw who were doing a great job of

  Halloween yesterday have you guys checked to make sure your house is not

  that I'm the first person to live in this house and so I I'm really not sure

  hand side so on behalf of everyone who bought an iPhone 7 assuming that there

  was some big master plan where the lightning cable headphones would carry

  out across the Apple range I just like to

  headphones for your iPhone won't work with your Mac correct I mean they don't

  currently but I kind of assumed there was some plan in the works where I was

  just future proofing and eventually it would all integrate seems like a sa

  assumption well I mean I'm sure it'll pan out eventually but uh yeah

  eventually where they realize and they go back to the headphone jack next time

  CU they didn't mention either whether these new MacBooks have because the the

  Wireless Apple headphones the new ones um don't use Bluetooth or anything like

  that from what I understand they use some proprietary Apple wireless

  technology which has like why do you to improve on Bluetooth they're not

  improving they're just making it different yeah exactly they they they

  use the word improve but these Macs don't have that chip in them they can't

  use the wireless ones either so basically the the headphones are just

  for the iPhone now I mean that is weird that's a pretty weird ball to have

  dropped yeah I I don't understand I could understand if they were making a

  new thing that was going to be across everything but uh don't get me wrong the

  sound quality is great through the lightning headphones

  it's but me then the speak too the sound is just improved

  asking them to do for years cuz it's been about six years five six years

  since they did anything with the MacBooks and the previous ones were

  pretty great you know laptops uh 5 years

  ago and they were still okay laptops uh until early this year except it was

  starting to get a bit silly because Technology's progressed so they've got

  new ones now they are the same thickness or a little thinner I think actually

  than a MacBook Air did you see that yeah this thing looks thin [ __ ] amazing

  real thin why they I don't know why they're still bothering to sell the

  MacBook a oh wait because they want money but but yeah I mean if people are

  buying it they'll sell it and just like the uh just like the iPhone this comes

  in a whole bunch of gay colors pink and gold not black pink and gold and space

  gray yeah yeah space gray is like is the one I have I have the normal MacBook and

  great uh they have Modern Hardware in

  them which is nice CPUs and memory and all that kind of jazz and they also have

  a new touch bar thing at the top you guys seen that yeah that's interesting

  what does it do it basically changes depending on what app you're running it

  replaces the function keys with a little uh little display yeah it's like a

  little a little chunk of iPad almost it's like a a screen that that displays

  buttons and an inter like an interface based on what how does it help me with

  while it's still in full screen you can um oh yep yep guess the only reason you

  upgrade a computer is for porn yeah of course the internet I guess there's

  was pretty cool I know it seems useful but a lot of people were saying why

  their their way of saying touch screens are coming but we're just not ready to

  commit yet well which is sort of weird for them not to come out with it cuz

  like Microsoft has yeah there's plenty of other well there's this article that I

  popped in here where Johnny IV in an interview he's talking about this and he

  said there's a couple things I thought were interesting about this he said that

  they they tried a lot of stuff and they

  didn't feel like the touch screen was appropriate application of multi-touch

  he didn't think it was particularly useful which I thought was interesting

  consider a lot of people use it and find it useful I Ed it work all the time yeah

  but he also said that they um apparently I I I mean obviously they this makes
• 19:04
  sense but it was just an interesting to hear him talk about a bit was that they

  obviously have these machines they've been doing it for testing them out for 2

  years and they've had various incarnations of these things that they

  just use every day to try and figure out what's useful and what isn't I thought

  that was really interesting so they've had these touch bar things on laptops

  over at Apple for a few years had people using them and said you know what's good

  what isn't they've had touchscreen Max running I presume based on what he's
• 19:32
  saying they've just decided no didn't

  work out I know yeah I mean Johnny I says it's uh it's good you know that's

  the truth I I was waiting during the presentation for his uh video which

  there always is a Johnny I video you've always got to wait for the Johnny I

  video who's Johnny IV the designer he's uh he yeah he's the he's the designer

  from Apple ah he's been the designer since uh the iMac first IAC remember the the colorful

  of it but I love the way that there was just products that um you you thought

  were no longer useful what her husband but

  it was fantastic okay well could you talk a little bit about how you go about

  starting you know with a design for something like this at Apple when we're

  designing a product we have to look to different attributes of the product and
• 21:45
  some of those attributes will be materials that it's made from and form
• 21:49
  that's connected to those materials right I mean that all sounds very
• 21:55
  obvious um if Apple to design a product

  like this could you talk us through some of the things you'd consider what you'd
• 22:04
  be careful of uh and what you'd try to avoid so we be really careful about um

  not having the word box already you know give you a bunch of ideas that could be
• 22:14
  quite narrow right because you you could put this anywhere I guess and so we're
• 22:19
  quite careful with the the words we use cuz those can sort of determine the the
• 22:24
  path that you go down that's that's very

  true um we asked your team at Apple to come up with some designs for a similar

  product um and we've got those here this is this is by Danny uh from the apple

  design team could you talk us through this a little bit I mean one of the

  things that really uh struck me with with Daniel's design first of all is the

  drawings I mean the drawings are really fabulous aren't they they are they're

  very very graphic I love the way that the the pencil rolls out yeah it's it's

  weird and I guess would be uh pretty comfortable with that you know there's

  that padded back yeah I can uh but yeah really really fantastic all right um so

  shape is yeah I'm not even sure how it would fit actually it does work really

  well as a you tried it out how could you not love the the mesh to let your crumbs
