- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, I need to know that you guys are ready.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I've been ready for.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Came.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Hey, I'm going to play the thing here. We can't
- 0:09Speaker 1: just talk over it.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Why it's a.
- 0:13Speaker 4: Fan of.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Make sure you check out more from Jay, Smike and
- 0:18Speaker 2: Kezy on your Instagram at Hodaky Big Show.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Fortuing into them four to seven every weekday on radio.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Watches over me.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Yeah, same for a change. I don't I don't even
- 0:33Speaker 2: readister it my head.
- 0:35Speaker 5: Did you make that, Pugs? Was that you that made that? No,
- 0:38Speaker 5: someone else made it. So we should get Pugs to
- 0:40Speaker 5: put his only if he's got speed chance in the
- 0:44Speaker 5: next sort of month.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Just any time, because he's got a lot of stuff
- 0:47Speaker 3: going on.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Pass I said to him earlier before I went into
- 0:52Speaker 2: the studio, can you get the headphones in there please?
- 0:56Speaker 1: And he was like, yeah, I'd have a lot of
- 0:57Speaker 1: stuff on too.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Spoke to me and he was of a response. Man,
- 1:02Speaker 3: those ones sitting right in front of you on that table.
- 1:04Speaker 2: They were right in front of me. But it's not
- 1:06Speaker 2: my job to pick them up and bring them in.
- 1:07Speaker 5: Well, actually it is, but Pugs is such a great
- 1:10Speaker 5: guy he started doing it for us.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Fortunately, he's made a rod for his own back. So
- 1:16Speaker 3: the expectations have been seats, so he doesn't do it.
- 1:19Speaker 3: It's not like he gets credit now for doing it,
- 1:21Speaker 3: but if he doesn't do it, he loses credit.
- 1:24Speaker 2: And also there's the whole thing. I I don't want
- 1:25Speaker 2: to interrupt his flow, his routine, and I can imagine that,
- 1:31Speaker 2: you know, he goes to do the job and then
- 1:33Speaker 2: he finds that one of the peers are missing because
- 1:36Speaker 2: haughty Jay's taking some initiative and done it himself, and
- 1:40Speaker 2: he's like, oh, for fuck's sake, and then he's been
- 1:44Speaker 2: twenty minutes trying to find the missing headphones and that
- 1:46Speaker 2: ruins his entire day because he has a lot of
- 1:48Speaker 2: stuff to do.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Man, it takes quite a lot to ruin his routine.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Well, this is what surprised me because he's quite a
- 1:54Speaker 2: mild mannered chap, very very nice man.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I think it is real self as stones come through.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Actually is a moody.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah, he had a swing at me. Mogie had a
- 2:03Speaker 2: swing with.
- 2:05Speaker 1: His first or his foot with his first Did he connect?
- 2:09Speaker 2: Nah, I'm too quick.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Oh you Bob and Weave?
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so.
- 2:14Speaker 3: You're Bob and Weaver or did you kneel and Bob.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I didn't move. He just was way off target.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So you didn't move at all, and he missed because he's.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Quite on co.
- 2:27Speaker 3: So good.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I'm looking at him in Studio B now and he's
- 2:30Speaker 2: not happy. He is not happy.
- 2:33Speaker 1: He's life cutting this for YouTube as well.
- 2:35Speaker 3: As I noticed he started chewing gum waited as a
- 2:39Speaker 3: way to get rid of the tension. Sure, it only
- 2:42Speaker 3: starts chewing gum just before we turn out.
- 2:44Speaker 5: Well, he was saying on Friday night when I was
- 2:45Speaker 5: at his house when he invited me in for a drink,
- 2:48Speaker 5: that he's going to become like a guy who's got
- 2:50Speaker 5: a thing and he couldn't decide between having a toothpeck
- 2:52Speaker 5: all the time or chewing gum.
- 2:54Speaker 3: I think toothpeck is good. Sylvester still owned that in
- 2:57Speaker 3: the movie Cobra. Oh actually I think his was a No.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I think it was a tooth, but not a match stick,
- 3:02Speaker 3: because that's another thing you can do a match stick
- 3:04Speaker 3: a match stick.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I would like to see pugsn take up chewing backy
- 3:10Speaker 2: chewing and have like a little bowl or a spatoon.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Or a pis ball end.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Yeah, you're going to need some heavy machinery for that.
- 3:25Speaker 1: You're going to need like a chattering.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Half put through a hoop? Yeah, yeah, so good.
- 3:35Speaker 1: How was filming last night, Jason?
- 3:36Speaker 3: Was it? Was it good? Yeah? It was.
- 3:39Speaker 2: It was one of those scenes where it was fucking
- 3:42Speaker 2: cold again winter?
- 3:44Speaker 3: Was it at night outside of winter?
- 3:46Speaker 2: Ridiculous? But it was one of those scenes where you went, okay,
- 3:51Speaker 2: oh yeah, this could be multiple setups. And so we're
- 3:55Speaker 2: all all of us that were involved in the sem.
- 3:58Speaker 3: How many people were involved? How many actors head lines?
- 4:01Speaker 2: Three people had lines and one person was lying down?
- 4:06Speaker 3: Lie down? Were they did?
- 4:07Speaker 2: Yes?
- 4:08Speaker 3: They sound like they were dead? Yes, spoiler alert?
- 4:12Speaker 1: What was your line?
- 4:13Speaker 3: I've had people hitting me up in my messages just
- 4:15Speaker 3: say and I just want to be clear because people
- 4:17Speaker 3: are dying to know what this says. I just want
- 4:19Speaker 3: to be very very clear that this is not Broken
- 4:21Speaker 3: Wood Mysteries.
- 4:22Speaker 5: No, absolutely, I want to be clear that this is
- 4:25Speaker 5: late night, big Breakfast, and it's back.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Sure is.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Men, three of us hadlines. Make you better. It had
- 4:32Speaker 2: the potential to be complicated, sure, but they directed did
- 4:37Speaker 2: a very good job and it wasn't great. And so
- 4:39Speaker 2: we only had three setups. It sounds like a three
- 4:42Speaker 2: set and the good thing was that mentally.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Two shot one single well.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah, one why as well? One in that direction sort
- 4:50Speaker 2: of closer up, and then one focus the other way.
- 4:52Speaker 3: And was there two people in one of those other ways? Yes?
- 4:55Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Isn't that interesting?
- 4:58Speaker 2: I think because so archologically and because it was so cold,
- 5:02Speaker 2: we're barred up for the fact that.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It could be go on a bit, what's a direction
- 5:06Speaker 1: going to?
- 5:06Speaker 2: So we were very stated when they went Okay, that's
- 5:09Speaker 2: the scene.
- 5:10Speaker 3: We were like, whoa, it's a treat.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Yeah it is.
- 5:13Speaker 3: It is a tree and you're far bit to go
- 5:14Speaker 3: in that way the amount of times that you've been
- 5:16Speaker 3: on there and you're like, fuck, I think we might
- 5:19Speaker 3: get out of here. Only today is looking really good
- 5:23Speaker 3: over time.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Fatal move.
- 5:25Speaker 3: God, it sucks. The whole Archy Big Show week days
- 5:29Speaker 3: from four on Radio Hurarchy. Remember the Warky Big Show podcast.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Just on the camera angles thing, the classic. Because I
- 5:37Speaker 5: obviously did like a sort of form of journalism, I guess,
- 5:39Speaker 5: and my old job but not really. But I'd be
- 5:41Speaker 5: involved with a lot of journalists and you'd go to
- 5:44Speaker 5: a media set up, right, so it'd be like Sean
- 5:46Speaker 5: Johnson's retiring, all the media comes down and then you
- 5:48Speaker 5: have people from like TVs News for example, they would
- 5:51Speaker 5: have two camera people, one to film Sean Johnson and
- 5:55Speaker 5: one to film the journalist nodding. They would have two
- 5:59Speaker 5: they'd have to generally you only have the one camera correct,
- 6:02Speaker 5: and then you would record the noddies later if the
- 6:05Speaker 5: call is noddy. So somebody says something, the journalist nods
- 6:08Speaker 5: is head yet interesting yes?
- 6:11Speaker 3: Or her head yes? And you just cut away to
- 6:13Speaker 3: that and it's all fake. That's a way I wouldn't
- 6:15Speaker 3: be playing that extra person.
- 6:17Speaker 5: But the reason they do it is because some of
- 6:18Speaker 5: the big dogs like to and they you'll see this
- 6:21Speaker 5: at media conferences. They'll interrupt someone halfway through their explanation
- 6:24Speaker 5: and to show that it was them that had the question,
- 6:27Speaker 5: so that if you want to use that reply, you
- 6:29Speaker 5: have to have the big dogs question in there as well.
- 6:32Speaker 5: So it'd be like Jace, you know you're retiring, mat,
- 6:34Speaker 5: how do you feel great?
- 6:38Speaker 3: Thanks? I'm retiring. I feel really good about it, CAZy.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I mean, obviously it's not something that I wanted to
- 6:43Speaker 3: do at this stage.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It's not something you wanted to do, So what made
- 6:46Speaker 1: you want to do it?
- 6:47Speaker 3: Look, I just haven't been playing you wanted to do
- 6:50Speaker 3: an example.
- 6:51Speaker 5: Yeah, you just kind of crushed it there, and they
- 6:56Speaker 5: will demand two cameras to get them asking that question,
- 6:59Speaker 5: to make sure the whole world knows that was their question.
- 7:02Speaker 5: We're an actual fact back at home, no one even
- 7:04Speaker 5: knows what gives a ship.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I was going to say, who gives a I don't
- 7:08Speaker 2: give a fuck if someone's nodding or not nodding, fuck you.
- 7:11Speaker 5: So my favorite thing back in the day was the
- 7:14Speaker 5: media set up starts. No, it wasn't that we're on YouTube.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Don't forget we're on YouTube.
- 7:20Speaker 1: But as soon as we're set up, that.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Was a good head bob. By the way, maybe.
- 7:25Speaker 5: There'd be certain big dog journalists, let's say, like you're
- 7:27Speaker 5: Andrew Saviles.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Yeah, they call them Jim Kay's and all that.
- 7:32Speaker 5: Back in the day, Jim and their whole stick was
- 7:34Speaker 5: I'm first, I'll ask five questions and then you guys
- 7:37Speaker 5: can eat. And so as soon the players, not even riddy,
- 7:39Speaker 5: everyone's half set up and I'm straight into it, how's
- 7:41Speaker 5: the mood? And camp every time the same question, just
- 7:45Speaker 5: to get the ball rolling. And then I got two questions,
- 7:47Speaker 5: and then I'd ask stupid ones because it was Craig
- 7:49Speaker 5: as well, and then we'd be out of there and
- 7:51Speaker 5: our thing was just to beat the big dogs so
- 7:53Speaker 5: that they don't get to start good ship.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Can how do we get onto that?
- 7:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, angle, Yeah, because there's all that, there's all
- 8:02Speaker 2: the thing called crossing the line and all that sort
- 8:04Speaker 2: of stuff, which I still can't be bothered.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I understand it's hard to wrap your hit around.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Yes, you'll be on set and that. Even a DP
- 8:12Speaker 3: can be struggling with that.
- 8:13Speaker 5: So what's crossing the line. It's making sure that the
- 8:15Speaker 5: camera angles. It makes sense visually right looking at that's right.
- 8:18Speaker 3: So if there's two people in a conversation, it's so
- 8:21Speaker 3: you've got two cheers facing each other and the people
- 8:24Speaker 3: are having a conversation, you've got to make sure that
- 8:27Speaker 3: they're both looking to the right side of the cameras,
- 8:30Speaker 3: to the correct side of the game. That's right. Sometimes
- 8:32Speaker 3: if you if you've fucked up the line, it looks
- 8:35Speaker 3: like they're not looking at each other, they're looking at
- 8:36Speaker 3: opposite directions. Yeah, yes, it's always really funny. So what
- 8:40Speaker 3: that means is you just need to draw an imaginary
- 8:43Speaker 3: line down the room and you keep both of the
- 8:45Speaker 3: people on the same side of the line. Yeah right, okay, keasy,
- 8:49Speaker 3: right mate? Yeah, I mean I knew that it's good stuff.
- 8:53Speaker 3: That's interesting. It's interesting.
- 8:56Speaker 2: To answer your question, it was fine, it's good. It's
- 8:59Speaker 2: home earlier than I did the night.
- 9:01Speaker 3: That was nice.
- 9:02Speaker 2: And can I make a confession. This is going to
- 9:07Speaker 2: shock you fellers. You know what time I woke up today?
- 9:10Speaker 3: Eight thirty, no, eleven thirty.
- 9:13Speaker 2: None, ten thirty what? I fucking shit you not to
- 9:20Speaker 2: bed about coke to two holy ship, that's good? And
- 9:26Speaker 2: I and I was lying in bed and I thought
- 9:28Speaker 2: my wife was still there, and I sort of went in.
- 9:30Speaker 4: I was feeling pretty just around there, fondle did they
- 9:40Speaker 4: but anyway, and she wasn't there, and I thought, oh,
- 9:42Speaker 4: I thought she was still there.
- 9:43Speaker 2: And I snoozed. Can I phrase it that way? And
- 9:47Speaker 2: then woke up and it was a beautiful day, felling
- 9:52Speaker 2: it continues to be and it continues to be magnificent.
- 9:55Speaker 2: And looked at my clock. I looked at my phone
- 9:57Speaker 2: and went what I actually my cop first yes, still
- 10:03Speaker 2: got it, And then ten thirty I was like, what
- 10:07Speaker 2: the hell? So I immediately messaged my wife to say,
- 10:12Speaker 2: how's that coffee coming? Along love, but she was out
- 10:15Speaker 2: for a walk with the dog.
- 10:17Speaker 5: So when you message our group at eleven oh one
- 10:19Speaker 5: saying what a stunning day feels like spring, you were
- 10:21Speaker 5: not long out.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Of beard indeed, Man, yes, great, did you feel good?
- 10:25Speaker 2: I felt so good? And because it was such a
- 10:29Speaker 2: beautiful day, I was like, this is the bomb that.
- 10:34Speaker 3: It was good?
- 10:34Speaker 2: Actually, yeah, that was a good one. It was a
- 10:37Speaker 2: good one.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Oh that's good. That's really yeah.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm just gonna.
- 10:42Speaker 3: On a day like that. You've had a good sleeper
- 10:43Speaker 3: and you've waken up, nobody's home. You make yourself a
- 10:46Speaker 3: little coffee, go outside a beautiful day, have a ciggie.
- 10:50Speaker 3: It's good eating.
- 10:50Speaker 2: It's just going to go and get a water. But
- 10:52Speaker 2: I've got to go through Studio B and fucking I
- 10:55Speaker 2: cross old again.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Do you think I should just wa I reckon, I'll
- 10:59Speaker 1: go get any game?
- 11:00Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 11:00Speaker 1: Thanks, because he is in.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Do we need like a hoo of a mood sting?
- 11:05Speaker 5: Whenever someone accuses someone of being a who of a mood,
- 11:08Speaker 5: it's like an alert or something.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Maybe maybe the problem is that you get accused most
- 11:12Speaker 3: of the time.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Yeah, like about three times a week.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Yeah, but you won't push the button.
- 11:15Speaker 1: No, here we go.
- 11:20Speaker 5: Follow, Listen whatever the Hurdarky Big Show, four or seven
- 11:22Speaker 5: every single.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Weekday on Radio Hurdarcky. It's so great.
