LET THE HEART SPEAK
Our meditation today has the theme: Let the Heart Speak. Saint Matthew was from Capernaum around the lake of Gennesaret. He was the son of Alphaeus, who was called to be an apostle of Jesus from a very lowly background. He was known as a Roman tax collector, a job that was hated by the Jews in general for siding with the colonial, the Romans.
