  My name is Angel, and today is the day that the Lord has made.

  Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Oh, yes, this is the day. It is a Friday,

  and I wanted to let you know that yesterday, I personally forgot that I'm surprised
• 1:34
  I forgot because it was such a great episode.

  I launched an episode from the Crock Podcast, because it's such an inspiring
• 1:41
  story, hosted, of course, by Dr. Ionelli and co-hosted by yours truly.

  But I wanted you to know that I actually did do a Thursday episode.

  So what I'm going to do today is I'm going to give you a double whammy.

  So after you listen to the 7.30 broadcast of today's episode,

  I'm going to rebroadcast Thursday's episode for all of you right after that.

  So it will air on eight o'clock this morning.

  So you're going to get a Friday, Thursday episode today to close out the week.

  I'd like to start off by wishing my dog, Cody, a happy birthday.

  He is 10 years old today. Cody, you are my first buddy in the world.

  Love you. And you're doing great.

  So, you know, today's episode is quite simple.

  We are all sometimes in a desperate need to find God.
• 2:35
  You don't have to be desperate to find God.
• 2:39
  So I use the term loosely when I say you're desperate to find the Lord,
• 2:44
  because I've heard people say in moments of panic,
• 2:48
  in disbelief, or of course, in fear or loss, they say to me,
• 2:54
  you know, I just wish I was a follower of Jesus Christ.
• 2:58
  And I used to say to them, you know, I understand what you mean. I understand. I get it.

  No, now I truly have a different answer. You don't have to feel desperate to seek the Lord.
• 3:12
  The Lord has always been with you. He wants to be your friend.
• 3:16
  He wants to be a part of your life.
• 3:18
  He has been reaching out with open arms. All you have to do is reach right back.
• 3:25
  It's kind of like when you hear that term, if you meet up with somebody and
• 3:29
  they nod their head, do you nod back?
• 3:32
  If a hand is extended outward, do you extend yours to handshake?
• 3:36
  God loves you.
• 3:39
  Hear what I'm saying. God wants to be with you. God has never left you.
• 3:45
  God created you in his image, which means you have a piece of that love.
• 3:51
  You have a piece of that joy.
• 3:54
  You have that piece of compassion. You have that peace and the knowledge to know that he is with you.

  There were times in my life where I turned my back on God, turned my back because
• 4:09
  I was not getting what I wanted.

  In my 20s, it was all about not having enough money, not having the right girlfriend,
• 4:17
  not even having a girlfriend for that matter, right?
• 4:19
  We all know the crazy date stories, not understanding why God did not make me,
• 4:24
  quote unquote, happy or happier.
• 4:27
  When you're in your 20s, you think you know it all. You think that the life revolves around you.
• 4:32
  But thank God that I had people in my life and those around me that could say
• 4:38
  to me, dude, you do not have to be seeking the Lord.
• 4:43
  The Lord is seeking you. The Lord is waiting for you.
• 4:48
  The Lord wants you to know that he loves you.
• 4:51
  And it was when I realized that when I went to church and I would hear the piano
• 4:56
  play, when I would hear the minister speak, I used to think.
• 5:01
  Jesus talking directly through him to me? Is today's message about me?
• 5:06
  How does this guy know about me?
• 5:09
  Well, you know, as somebody who goes up on there, on the pulpit and tries to,
• 5:14
  you know, deliver messages, there are times when even myself,
• 5:19
  who loves to tape everything that I do and record all my sermons,
• 5:23
  you know, the last sermon I went up there,
• 5:25
  nothing worked. All the recording devices didn't work.
• 5:28
  And I got a little upset for a second and I said, wait a minute,
• 5:31
  hold on. Why am I getting upset?
• 5:33
  The message wasn't for me. It was for somebody in that congregation that day.
• 5:39
  And whoever received that message received it because Jesus wanted them to hear it.
• 5:44
  We are all servants of the Lord and God is delivering a message to you today through me.
• 5:52
  And what is he saying? I love you.
• 5:55
  I trust in you. I believe in you.
• 5:58
  I created you in my image and I want you to know that I've never left your side
• 6:05
  that I love you unconditionally that I'm opening my arms to you right now and I'm telling you.
• 6:13
  Are not alone we are in this together this morning I want you to all think about
• 6:19
  all those people that are in our lives or maybe have left us due to issues with
• 6:25
  friendships or our ways of life or whatever,
• 6:28
  maybe work or maybe they've moved or they've passed away. Maybe if they haven't.
• 6:34
  Had that feeling of the Lord, or they didn't seek the Lord, or they didn't understand
• 6:38
  who God was, but they always wanted us to know, or they always asked us,
• 6:44
  how can you be so happy all the time?
• 6:46
  Let's pray for them. Let's lift up in prayer all those right now that are suffering,
• 6:51
  that are diagnosed with diseases, that are diagnosed with cancer,
• 6:56
  they're diagnosed with COVID, they're diagnosed with so many things.
• 7:00
  Let's be with them today. Let's pray with them today. Let's let them not be alone.
• 7:05
  If you haven't called somebody in a long time, don't wait for a holiday.
• 7:09
  Call today. Text today. Say hello today. If you see a veteran,
• 7:15
  stop and thank them for their service.
• 7:17
  If you see a police officer drive by, pray for them as they're on duty to protect our way of life.
• 7:24
  If you see or hear about a soldier, think about all the military,
• 7:28
  foreign and domestic that do everything in their power to keep us safe.
• 7:33
  All of that couldn't be possible without God and Jesus creating them in his image.
• 7:39
  And finally, think about all of you, have faith, let it begin,
• 7:43
  family members, who listen to me every single morning, who believe and trust
• 7:47
  in what we do here on our platform.

  Thank you for trusting in me. but more importantly, thank you for loving our God.
