- 0:00Speaker 1: It's time for Stacks and Hacks. I have stacks of information.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Rich has life hacks. The information I have is great
- 0:07Speaker 1: stuff to take with you through the day. So that
- 0:08Speaker 1: way you're very topical when you talk about your friends
- 0:10Speaker 1: with your friends at work. This happened with the name Chad.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And this happened with the name Karen. And this happened
- 0:18Speaker 1: with the name Alexa. And this happened with a bunch
- 0:22Speaker 1: of stuff. But I guess people named Al. Are getting
- 0:25Speaker 1: all upset now because of AI? Yeah, sure.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Right, because AL looks like AI.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly right. So according to a new report,
- 0:34Speaker 1: it's becoming a headache for many owls and their businesses.
- 0:36Speaker 1: There's a place in San Francisco called Owl's Attire. They're
- 0:41Speaker 1: getting the owners like the little lowercase L can look
- 0:43Speaker 1: exactly like a capital I. My entire human identity depends
- 0:46Speaker 1: on one very small line.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Please.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Several owls have joked about starting a support group over this,
- 0:51Speaker 1: and it's not a problem that's going away. It's just
- 0:53Speaker 1: the beginning. AI is just the beginning. So all these
- 0:55Speaker 1: owls now, some are having fun with it, and some
- 0:58Speaker 1: owls are getting pretty pissed off. Remember the Karens, how
- 1:00Speaker 1: mad the Karens got?
- 1:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 2: But the Karens that got mad about the Karens were Karens.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right. Yeah, these owls are just innocent.
- 1:08Speaker 3: They're innocent. Yeah.
- 1:10Speaker 1: New report says reservations for one are becoming more common
- 1:14Speaker 1: with data showing they're up 22% over last year. So
- 1:17Speaker 1: most people are making reservations for themselves mostly on Tuesdays.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Oh, interesting.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Most people eat alone on Tuesdays. I don't know if
- 1:24Speaker 1: I'd make a reservation. I think I'd just show up.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Yeah, but you know what? You don't want to have
- 1:28Speaker 3: to stand around by yourself. You want to go and eat.
- 1:31Speaker 1: So deputies in Mississippi are looking for a vehicle with
- 1:36Speaker 1: a crazy statement written on it. And it's connected to
- 1:39Speaker 1: many burglary investigations. This is part of the newscast, and
- 1:43Speaker 1: this is why I'm playing, cuz I think it's just
- 1:44Speaker 1: so bizarre that this would air in the newscast, but still.
- 1:47Speaker 2: And new at 10, Apprentice County investigators are looking for
- 1:50Speaker 2: a vehicle with fat chicks only written on it. It
- 1:53Speaker 2: is all in connection with a recent burglary that happened there.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Deputies say that the family reported a black older model
- 2:01Speaker 2: Chevrolet Tahoe. The witness said the SUV had the words
- 2:05Speaker 2: fat chicks only written on the rear glass.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Hey, they know what they like.
- 2:16Speaker 1: This seems like a premise for a horror show, but
- 2:18Speaker 1: a 50 year old man is facing burglary and assault
- 2:21Speaker 1: charges after he allegedly used power tools to break through
- 2:24Speaker 1: a shared wall into his duplex neighbor's home. Then he said,
- 2:28Speaker 1: I'm going to be crawling through the walls and figure
- 2:30Speaker 1: out ways to make your life hell.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Jeez.
- 2:33Speaker 1: So he got arrested. Yeah, that's terrifying. I guess it's
- 2:36Speaker 1: been so hot in the UK that there's been a
- 2:38Speaker 1: boom of monster rats. Monster rats.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Like how big?
- 2:45Speaker 1: I don't know, man, but they call them monster. 75%
- 2:48Speaker 1: of Americans now see prenups as beneficial, not threatening to relationships.
- 2:54Speaker 1: That's good news. Someone asked the internet, What TV show
- 2:59Speaker 1: got canceled on a massive cliffhanger that frustrates you to
- 3:03Speaker 1: this day? Some of these shows I've heard of. Some
- 3:06Speaker 1: of them I haven't. But number two on this list, Kyle,
- 3:10Speaker 1: you and I are on the very same page on this.
- 3:12Speaker 1: And if you can't think of it, when I get
- 3:13Speaker 1: to it, you'll know. But these are some shows that
- 3:15Speaker 1: were canceled. Before they were finished.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Oh, I know.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I do love it.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Which one?
- 3:21Speaker 3: Mindhunter.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Mindhunter's number two. Number one show is called Pushing Daisies,
- 3:25Speaker 1: and I don't remember that show.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Oh, is Star on there? That show Star?
- 3:29Speaker 1: Star's not on here.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Oh, so good.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Alf is on here. Glow. My name is Earl. The O-A.
- 3:35Speaker 3: The O-A. The idol.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I know the idol's on that list.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Dead Like Me. Last Man on Earth. Quantum Leap. Santa
- 3:42Speaker 1: Clarita Diet. And number one is Pushing Daisy.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 1: BuzzFeed shared a list of the products, trends, and inventions
- 3:48Speaker 1: that were hyped as the next big thing then fizzled out. Hoverboards.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I was going to literally say hoverboards. Yes. Yes.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Curved TVs. I remember that. Yeah.
- 4:00Speaker 3: If you got one of those, you watch, you're like, okay,
- 4:02Speaker 3: that's kind of confusing.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Crystal Pepsi is on there. The Segway. Google Plus. Zima.
- 4:09Speaker 1: 3D movies. And the number one thing on this list
- 4:12Speaker 1: that they say was the next big trend and phased
- 4:14Speaker 1: out was something called ephemeral tattoos.
- 4:18Speaker 3: What's that?
- 4:19Speaker 1: They're tattoos that are meant to fade after nine months. Oh, yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 1: and they don't ever fade. I don't know.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I've seen those before. You mean just tattoos? They're
- 4:26Speaker 3: just called tattoos?
- 4:26Speaker 2: Yeah, people get them, and they were supposed to only
- 4:29Speaker 2: last that long, and they ended up lasting forever.
- 4:31Speaker 1: What do you have for Life Hacks, Rich?
- 4:32Speaker 3: Well, it is National Tell-A-Joke Day, and the Life Hack
- 4:35Speaker 3: is how to tell a joke and kind of own it. Oh, OK.
- 4:39Speaker 3: And they say if you're ever given a speech of
- 4:41Speaker 3: some kind, the best way to kind of start off
- 4:43Speaker 3: your speech is with a little bit of humor. And
- 4:45Speaker 3: it doesn't even matter if it's a funny joke. They say,
- 4:48Speaker 3: don't panic. Don't explain it. Just smile and say, yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 3: that's a joke I went with. And if it gets groans,
- 4:53Speaker 3: it gets groans. So like if I were, you know,
- 4:55Speaker 3: standing up in front of a science class, I might
- 4:57Speaker 3: say something like. Hey, why don't scientists trust atoms, guys?
- 5:02Speaker 2: Why?
- 5:02Speaker 3: Because they make up everything. Science jokes.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I thought you meant guys named atoms. No, no, no.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Science jokes. So acknowledging the bomb can break the tension,
- 5:17Speaker 3: and sometimes the bomb gets a bigger laugh than the
- 5:19Speaker 3: actual joke. It is National Telejoke Day. I'm sure that
- 5:23Speaker 3: we will get into that a little bit later on
- 5:24Speaker 3: the show. Or maybe we got into it earlier. I
- 5:26Speaker 3: don't even know.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Maybe we did.
- 5:29Speaker 3: That life hack and many more can be found at johnjainrich.com.
