- 0:00Speaker 1: A while back, we actually did something pretty similar. I
- 0:03Speaker 1: believe that it was what if Naruto had every mongekio ability.
- 0:07Speaker 1: The premise was that Naruto lost his site at birth
- 0:10Speaker 1: due to injury sustained during the Nine Tails attack, and
- 0:13Speaker 1: at some point during his life he decides he wants
- 0:16Speaker 1: to be a Shinobi, and in order to make that happen,
- 0:19Speaker 1: they make him a prosthetic mongekio set of eyes. That
- 0:24Speaker 1: was the idea that built the whole story. But I
- 0:26Speaker 1: want to reuse this idea and go in a different direction.
- 0:30Speaker 1: When I made the setup for that video, I realized
- 0:32Speaker 1: just how great of an idea it was, and well,
- 0:34Speaker 1: I can't pass it up. So let's view a similar
- 0:37Speaker 1: but different world. A world without artificial sharinghan, a world
- 0:42Speaker 1: without the cutting edge science that Naruto relies on. A
- 0:45Speaker 1: world where Naruto is blind from birth and remains that way.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Welcome to the Amagi. Only twenty five percent of our
- 0:52Speaker 1: viewers are subscribed, so if you're a fan of the video,
- 0:55Speaker 1: please like and double check if you are subscribed. And
- 0:57Speaker 1: with that out of the way, let's get into the video.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Naruto was born blind by one mishapper another His ability
- 1:04Speaker 1: to see was taken from him at a young age,
- 1:07Speaker 1: and he never had the experience of sight. His eyes
- 1:10Speaker 1: still had a set of beautiful orbs in them, but
- 1:13Speaker 1: those orbs were light in coloration. The pupil and lens
- 1:16Speaker 1: fogged over into a powdery baby blue that seemed to
- 1:20Speaker 1: show the world just how his eyes viewed things. Naruto
- 1:24Speaker 1: was in that ten percent that was truly one hundred
- 1:27Speaker 1: percent blind, as in his brain now processed no visual
- 1:30Speaker 1: light whatsoever. This didn't leave him in darkness, of course,
- 1:34Speaker 1: to be able to see darkness, you'd have to be
- 1:36Speaker 1: able to see period. For Naruto, the lack of this
- 1:39Speaker 1: sense wasn't exactly a thing he missed because he never
- 1:42Speaker 1: remembered it. He would hear other kids talking about color
- 1:46Speaker 1: and how pretty something did or didn't look, but he
- 1:48Speaker 1: didn't really grasp it. He got the basic premise of
- 1:51Speaker 1: what sight was like, but he never actually understood. It
- 1:55Speaker 1: was hard to imagine the sight of something when you
- 1:57Speaker 1: never truly experienced it. For Nario, it was like a void,
- 2:02Speaker 1: not darkness, just nothingness. It was hard to explain to people.
- 2:06Speaker 1: The most common question he was asked was if he
- 2:09Speaker 1: dreamed and what he saw when he dreamed. The answer
- 2:12Speaker 1: to that was yes, and what he saw was the
- 2:14Speaker 1: same answer he gave when he was awake. He didn't
- 2:18Speaker 1: see anything. What he witnessed wasn't darkness. No, Instead, he
- 2:22Speaker 1: witnessed certain sensations sound, touch, smell, taste. These things he
- 2:28Speaker 1: experienced in dreams. He experienced motion and familiar feelings emotions.
- 2:34Speaker 1: But one thing he did have that others didn't, or
- 2:37Speaker 1: at least weren't as keenly aware of, was the ability
- 2:41Speaker 1: to sense chakra through a radar like system. He could
- 2:44Speaker 1: sense new chakra, he could sense his own chakra bouncing around,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and he could sense nature itself. He sensed the energy
- 2:52Speaker 1: of the sun, of plant life, things like that. Now
- 2:55Speaker 1: herazn't heard these things and knew the truth. Naruto had
- 2:59Speaker 1: seemingly taught himself to sense sage energy. He couldn't utilize it,
- 3:03Speaker 1: but he could sense it, which was amazing for someone
- 3:06Speaker 1: so young. To that end, Naruto had no issue getting around.
- 3:09Speaker 1: He got around rather easily because even though he couldn't
- 3:12Speaker 1: see a light, he could sense energy in a way
- 3:14Speaker 1: that gave him some manner of spatial awareness. To that end,
- 3:18Speaker 1: he would go to the Academy in hopes of becoming
- 3:20Speaker 1: a shanobi. Most teachers there and most students too, refused
- 3:24Speaker 1: to put any stock into anything Naruto could become due
- 3:27Speaker 1: to what they perceived as a debilitating disability. And while
- 3:31Speaker 1: there was no denying that Naruto did have a harder
- 3:34Speaker 1: time in his life doing things due to how much
- 3:36Speaker 1: of society and its systems revolved around the ability to see,
- 3:40Speaker 1: such as signs and labels bearing text instead of feeling.
- 3:43Speaker 1: But there were some who still believed in Naruto. Among
- 3:47Speaker 1: those who believed in him there was Erka Umino, and
- 3:50Speaker 1: he not a huga. He Nada was his number one fan.
- 3:53Speaker 1: She had fallen for him head over heels in such
- 3:55Speaker 1: a cute way that Erica had never really seen before,
- 3:58Speaker 1: and Naruto seemed to recip kate. They were young, but
- 4:01Speaker 1: the fact that such a deep love could form between
- 4:04Speaker 1: them was something that blew Erica's mind. It was as
- 4:07Speaker 1: if one heart had been split into two and sewn
- 4:09Speaker 1: into different bodies and had finally found the other half. Honestly,
- 4:13Speaker 1: that sounded very tropy, but at the same time, there
- 4:15Speaker 1: are reasons why such phrases are used. They hold a
- 4:18Speaker 1: deeper meaning. And right now, Erika understood that you see.
- 4:22Speaker 1: When Naruto and Nada were much younger, many school bullies
- 4:26Speaker 1: picked on her because of the look of her eyes,
- 4:28Speaker 1: but Naruto, who could not see, did not take kindly
- 4:31Speaker 1: to others, saying that her eyes were ugly. He could
- 4:34Speaker 1: not see her eyes to admire them. He couldn't see.
- 4:36Speaker 1: In general, a set of working eyes was a gift,
- 4:40Speaker 1: and though Naruto would not pity himself because he knew
- 4:43Speaker 1: he had special gifts that nobody else had, it still
- 4:46Speaker 1: upset him to hear about people using that gift to
- 4:48Speaker 1: hurt others. Naruto didn't see he Nada in the same
- 4:52Speaker 1: way others did. He sensed her chakra, but could only
- 4:55Speaker 1: liken it to things he felt. To him, he said,
- 4:58Speaker 1: she felt like the sun, but hidden, like an overcast day,
- 5:01Speaker 1: the sun hiding away behind a cloud, Shy, but oh
- 5:04Speaker 1: so beautiful. To be honest, Irika began to suspect that
- 5:08Speaker 1: Naruto was the first to develop a crush, which was
- 5:10Speaker 1: why he sought her out that day and protected her
- 5:13Speaker 1: when she cried. Because her people's dojutsu was considered ugly.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Naruto was the one to wipe her tears, telling her
- 5:19Speaker 1: that her eyes were beautiful. How do you know you
- 5:22Speaker 1: can't see them, she said. The answer was that eyes
- 5:25Speaker 1: were more than an organ. Eyes were what you saw
- 5:28Speaker 1: into the very soul with and he saw her soul
- 5:31Speaker 1: and ways that others could not. He sensed her being,
- 5:34Speaker 1: every emotion, every spike in chakra, everything. He knew who
- 5:39Speaker 1: she was. It was that feeling that originally drew him
- 5:42Speaker 1: to her, when everyone else in class ignored him, or worse,
- 5:46Speaker 1: avoided him out of a sense of discomfort at his presence.
- 5:49Speaker 1: He could sense her warmth looking at him and feeling something.
- 5:53Speaker 1: He felt that she wanted to talk to him, be
- 5:56Speaker 1: friends with him, but she wouldn't because she, like the others,
- 6:00Speaker 1: had a fear in her heart. But her fear wasn't
- 6:02Speaker 1: based on how strange he was, but on how shy
- 6:06Speaker 1: she was. That's how he saw her soul, a kind sweet,
- 6:10Speaker 1: delicate flower, sensitive and fragile that was new to him.
- 6:14Speaker 1: There was no vanity in it, only humbleness to a fault.
- 6:17Speaker 1: That's why they now sat together every day. He Nada
- 6:21Speaker 1: had skills Naruto didn't, and there were things that he
- 6:23Speaker 1: needed that the school could not provide. Even though Naruto
- 6:26Speaker 1: had managed to learn how to read Braille, the academy
- 6:29Speaker 1: did not offer tests or textbooks in this language due
- 6:32Speaker 1: to its archaic nature. The old generation had generalized disabilities,
- 6:36Speaker 1: and as such, the current systems were not geared toward
- 6:39Speaker 1: the inclusion of disabled students. As to them, it seemed
- 6:42Speaker 1: asinine that a blind child should want to be a shanobi.
- 6:45Speaker 1: But Iriqa new times were changing. Skills possessed by the
- 6:49Speaker 1: blind were becoming relevant, and he saw Naruto working deeply
- 6:52Speaker 1: in the intel gathering and sensory units. One day, if
- 6:55Speaker 1: he could get through the academy and into the right team.
- 6:58Speaker 1: And as he watched now he Nada was reading the
- 7:00Speaker 1: books to Naruto, reading the blackboard, helping him finish his tests.
- 7:04Speaker 1: She was wise not to take the test for him
- 7:06Speaker 1: or influence his decisions, but instead to give him the questions,
- 7:09Speaker 1: the list of answers, and to patiently await his response
- 7:13Speaker 1: whether she felt it was correct or not. They had
- 7:15Speaker 1: become a team. On many occasions, Erika had asked if
- 7:18Speaker 1: she would like for him to help Naruto, but she declined,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and he had expected it to be so too. The
- 7:24Speaker 1: look in her biakugan told him everything. She needed to
- 7:27Speaker 1: help Naruto because it gave her a reason to be
- 7:30Speaker 1: in his presence longer. Considering that the boy was the
- 7:33Speaker 1: nine Tails Jincheroke, it was rare to see anyone want
- 7:36Speaker 1: to be near him, let alone be this dedicated to him,
- 7:39Speaker 1: and Naruto knew that too. The issue was that Naruto
- 7:42Speaker 1: wasn't doing well in the academy. He was smart enough
- 7:45Speaker 1: to pass with help, but he wasn't as skilled in
- 7:48Speaker 1: ninjutsu as the others. He couldn't see the hand signs,
- 7:51Speaker 1: so he couldn't perform them. Because of that, he quickly
- 7:53Speaker 1: began to fall behind in ninjutsu training, which was an
- 7:56Speaker 1: integral part of the school. Naruto's ability to use the
- 7:59Speaker 1: clone jutsu was completely useless. He simply couldn't make one.
- 8:03Speaker 1: There was a single time where he came close, but
- 8:06Speaker 1: the clone he made was entirely useless. No substance know anything,
- 8:10Speaker 1: nothing more than pure chakra in the shape of a
- 8:13Speaker 1: person close to Naruto's build. The other teachers wanted to
- 8:16Speaker 1: give up, saying it was impossible for him to ever
- 8:19Speaker 1: be a shanobi, but Erica was not so small minded,
- 8:22Speaker 1: and he began personally tutoring Naruto. Naruto was unable to
- 8:26Speaker 1: memorize any jutsu because he couldn't see the hand signs,
- 8:29Speaker 1: so every day after class, Erica would specifically send Hen
- 8:32Speaker 1: away to help Naruto concentrate, and he would then one
- 8:35Speaker 1: by one guide Naruto through the hand signs. He would
- 8:39Speaker 1: make Naruto clasp his fingers together while extending out the
- 8:42Speaker 1: thumb and pinky. And what is this one? Erica would ask,
- 8:45Speaker 1: uh Dragon correct. Erica formed Naroto's hands into another hand sign.
- 8:50Speaker 1: He then formed Naroto's hand into a finger gun and
- 8:53Speaker 1: took the other closed hand along with an extended pinky
- 8:55Speaker 1: and put the two hands together. What's that, he asked?
- 8:59Speaker 1: Hair correct again, Erica said, here's another. He had Naruto
- 9:03Speaker 1: hold his hand up, each finger closed save for the
- 9:06Speaker 1: index and middle finger. He would then have Naruto grip
- 9:09Speaker 1: the two fingers on top. What about this, he asked Ram.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Naruto asked, Nope, not Ram. Naruto waited a moment more Rat. Great,
- 9:19Speaker 1: you got it right, Naruto smiled. I'm sorry for putting
- 9:22Speaker 1: you into a position like this. Erica sense, he said.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Erica knelt down to Naruto. Never apologize for this, he said.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I'm a teacher. That's my calling in life. That means
- 9:31Speaker 1: it's my job to teach you everything you need to
- 9:33Speaker 1: know you require a different kind of tutoring, but that
- 9:36Speaker 1: only makes my job more exciting. You deserve for someone
- 9:39Speaker 1: to teach you the way you need, and that's what
- 9:42Speaker 1: I'm here for. Once you have the hand signs down,
- 9:44Speaker 1: I'll start teaching you other ninjutsu. We'll begin with some
- 9:47Speaker 1: basic stuff from basic natures. We'll test your chakra affinity,
- 9:51Speaker 1: and then we'll teach you some ninjutsu from those natures
- 9:54Speaker 1: that should be enough to pass. And so Naruto was
- 9:57Speaker 1: kind of left behind in class. People graduate, but Naruto
- 10:01Speaker 1: was still there. Erica didn't give up though. They discovered
- 10:04Speaker 1: that Naruto had an affinity for wind style, and due
- 10:07Speaker 1: to that, Erica be again exclusively teaching Naruto the vacuum
- 10:10Speaker 1: branch of techniques. The first thing he taught him was
- 10:13Speaker 1: the vacuum blade. This wasn't easy for Naruto, but he
- 10:16Speaker 1: managed it, which allowed him to turn anything he could
- 10:19Speaker 1: grab into a sharp sword. The other technique he taught
- 10:22Speaker 1: him was wind release vacuum sphere. This Rika felt was
- 10:26Speaker 1: the basis for the rest, as it taught him proper
- 10:28Speaker 1: shape manipulation for this technique line. He felt that so
- 10:31Speaker 1: long as he properly knew how to do these two techniques,
- 10:34Speaker 1: he could learn the rest later. Erica even went so
- 10:36Speaker 1: far as to during his time off, learned Braille and
- 10:39Speaker 1: transcribe the techniques onto a scroll for Naruto so he
- 10:42Speaker 1: could test his own techniques. And thankfully, due to his
- 10:45Speaker 1: hard work, he managed to pass and become a Genin.
- 10:48Speaker 1: But the issue remained as to who would be willing
- 10:50Speaker 1: to take a blind Shanobi as a student. There were
- 10:53Speaker 1: few people who could actually help him, few jonin willing
- 10:56Speaker 1: to take him on. Naruto would wait as mentors called
- 10:58Speaker 1: up students, and by the end of it, Naruto was
- 11:01Speaker 1: the one left alone in the room by himself, not
- 11:05Speaker 1: just on day one, but day two, then day three.
- 11:09Speaker 1: It became an everyday thing. Erica was angered by this
- 11:12Speaker 1: so much that he took it up with heroes and personally,
- 11:15Speaker 1: you have to force someone to take Naruto, he said.
- 11:18Speaker 1: This isn't fair. He's worked hard to get where he is,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and it's not fair that he's left sitting there disappointed
- 11:23Speaker 1: again and again. It's like all the work we put
- 11:25Speaker 1: in meant nothing, he said. Herosm took a deep breath
- 11:28Speaker 1: and then let it out to measure his words. This
- 11:31Speaker 1: isn't Naruto's fault, he said, we're in agreement on that.
- 11:35Speaker 1: But what you have to understand, Erica, is that most
- 11:38Speaker 1: Jonin are not equipped to deal with a special need
- 11:40Speaker 1: student like that. We were afraid the same thing would
- 11:43Speaker 1: happen to Rock Lee, but Mike Guy, who had been
- 11:46Speaker 1: one in a similar situation in his youth, reached out
- 11:49Speaker 1: to take Lee personally. He was lucky. But there are
- 11:52Speaker 1: no blind shanobi who can relate to his struggle or
- 11:55Speaker 1: help him navigate the challenges he'll face. And I can't
- 11:58Speaker 1: just force him on a team. It would be as
- 12:00Speaker 1: unfair to Naruto as it is to the Jonin to
- 12:03Speaker 1: force a shanobi who doesn't know how to deal with
- 12:06Speaker 1: him onto a team that's already chaotic enough. I'm sorry, here,
- 12:10Speaker 1: isn't said. If that's how it is, then make me
- 12:12Speaker 1: a joning Lord fourth, Erica said, make me a joning
- 12:15Speaker 1: and I'll lead a team of my own. Here is
- 12:17Speaker 1: in Look that Erica for a second, and then shook
- 12:19Speaker 1: his head. Listen, Erica, becoming a Jonine isn't something everyone
- 12:23Speaker 1: can or should do. It's a lot of responsibility. And
- 12:26Speaker 1: while I don't doubt you are responsible, it requires a
- 12:29Speaker 1: lot of skill skills. I don't think you have not
- 12:32Speaker 1: all jonin or jacks of all trades, some of them
- 12:34Speaker 1: are specialists. You want me to make you a tokubetsu Jonine,
- 12:38Speaker 1: he asked. Erica nodded. Tell me if there's any other
- 12:41Speaker 1: tuning who has as much of a passion for teaching
- 12:43Speaker 1: as me, name one who does it better and loves
- 12:46Speaker 1: it more than me, and I'll concede my point. Here,
- 12:48Speaker 1: hero is and could not. He let out a sigh.
- 12:51Speaker 1: A tokubetsu jonin responsible for teaching, he questioned. He thought
- 12:56Speaker 1: deeply on it for a moment. I can trust you
- 12:58Speaker 1: to be irresponsible with this, not to bite off more
- 13:01Speaker 1: than you can chew here is an asked. Erica nodded,
- 13:04Speaker 1: and with that Herosn walked back to his desk and
- 13:06Speaker 1: took out some papers. He grabbed a stamp and stamped
- 13:09Speaker 1: two pieces of paper. One he handed to Erica and
- 13:12Speaker 1: the other he kept for records. I present you with
- 13:15Speaker 1: your letter of promotion. Herosen then wrote something down on
- 13:19Speaker 1: both pieces of paper. When Erica looked at it, he
- 13:22Speaker 1: saw the words special needs Jonine on it. The new
- 13:25Speaker 1: name of this tokubetsu jonin category. Erica smiled and nodded,
- 13:30Speaker 1: thank you, Lord. Forth. While I'm at it, I'd like
- 13:33Speaker 1: to begin forming a team, he said. Here isn't walked
- 13:35Speaker 1: over and sat down behind the desk. Name them, he said.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Erica then began to speak. I want Naruto Uzamaki on
- 13:42Speaker 1: my team. Granted, I want he not a Hyuga. Here
- 13:46Speaker 1: isn't looked up. She's already part of another team, he said.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I understand that, but she's the only person besides me
- 13:52Speaker 1: who truly understands Naruto. I don't know if it's a
- 13:55Speaker 1: good idea to form your entire team solely around Naruto.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Everyone will equal amounts of attention. I understand that, but
- 14:03Speaker 1: I also know that he nota has chronic anxiety issues,
- 14:06Speaker 1: and Naruto in return, understands her. Together they can help
- 14:09Speaker 1: each other out and work out their issues, and I
- 14:11Speaker 1: can guide them both. Here isn't thought about it. I
- 14:14Speaker 1: can send a message to the team that she's on
- 14:16Speaker 1: and ask if they'll allow her to join another team
- 14:19Speaker 1: if she so chooses, but don't expect a positive answer.
- 14:23Speaker 1: There's no guarantee. Both she and her team need to
- 14:25Speaker 1: agree to this for it to work. Erica nodded, I
- 14:28Speaker 1: understand who will be the last member of your team?
- 14:31Speaker 1: Here is an ast Erica couldn't think of anyone else.
- 14:34Speaker 1: To be honest, there weren't many shanobi with disabilities. I'd
- 14:38Speaker 1: say saske maybe due to psychological trauma heroes and shook
- 14:42Speaker 1: his head. Kakashi is a better handle for that, he said.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Erka nodded, I'll be honest, I don't know what's left here.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Isn't thought about something. I have an idea, but he's
- 14:52Speaker 1: not exactly Gannin level yet. I feel that if you
- 14:56Speaker 1: were to teach him, he might have a chance of
- 14:58Speaker 1: becoming a real shanobi one day, one that can respect
- 15:01Speaker 1: everyone he comes across. He currently has an ego issue
- 15:05Speaker 1: despite being even less than a geny. Iraka raised a brow.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Who is he enter team? Erica? Irika Umino as the
- 15:13Speaker 1: jonin and under him were Naruto, He, Nada, and last
- 15:17Speaker 1: and definitely least, though he would never admit it. Konahamaru,
- 15:21Speaker 1: being only seven years old, he was hardly more than
- 15:24Speaker 1: a kid playing dress up. He had shanobi instincts, but
- 15:27Speaker 1: absolutely no way to use those instincts. His execution was terrible.
- 15:32Speaker 1: That was what Rika was here to fix together, Rika
- 15:35Speaker 1: and the group began to do their work. Now, while
- 15:38Speaker 1: to most Shanobi picking up trash was easy work, it
- 15:41Speaker 1: was more challenging to Naruto, who had a harder time
- 15:44Speaker 1: detecting the trash. It was smaller stuff and harder to
- 15:48Speaker 1: sense energy around, which made finding it a lot harder,
- 15:51Speaker 1: and on some occasions he ended up picking up dead
- 15:53Speaker 1: branches instead of actual trash. This actually really seemed to
- 15:57Speaker 1: bother Naruto a bit. He Nada, of course, was here
- 16:00Speaker 1: to the rescue, picking up anything he missed. She would
- 16:03Speaker 1: put it all into her own trash bag. Narretto knew
- 16:06Speaker 1: what she was doing, though, considering that she was mostly
- 16:08Speaker 1: following him around instead of going her own way. He
- 16:11Speaker 1: didn't say anything though for the first few days. Then,
- 16:13Speaker 1: when they were walking dogs, he had a hard time.
- 16:16Speaker 1: When the animal would make a dodo, he didn't know
- 16:18Speaker 1: where it was to pick it up, and that was
- 16:20Speaker 1: left for he Nada as well. All the while, Konahamaru
- 16:23Speaker 1: voiced his frustrations of being put on a special needs team.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I'm not debilitated or whatever the word is disabled. Erica
- 16:31Speaker 1: would offer, yeah, that there's nothing wrong with me, so
- 16:33Speaker 1: why am I put on the same team as a
- 16:35Speaker 1: blind kid. This is redeeming. Redeeming do you mean demeaning,
- 16:39Speaker 1: Erica asked, yes, dememing. Erica pat Kanahamaru's head, much to
- 16:43Speaker 1: the boy's chagrin. Listen, ConA, you're only seven. Most gening
- 16:47Speaker 1: don't even start until they're twelve. You're getting a head
- 16:50Speaker 1: start in a safe environment where you can learn the ropes.
- 16:52Speaker 1: It'll ease you in. I don't want to be eased in.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I'm tired of being babied. I want to be given
- 16:57Speaker 1: real shinobi tasks, not just dumb chort These may be
- 17:01Speaker 1: difficult for the star nosed mole over there, but it's
- 17:03Speaker 1: not for me. I'm able. Erica began to understand the
- 17:07Speaker 1: frustrations of Konohamaru. It was probably a little embarrassing for
- 17:11Speaker 1: an able student to be put on a disabled team.
- 17:13Speaker 1: But that being said, not everyone here was disabled. He
- 17:17Speaker 1: Nada may have had chronic anxiety, but she wasn't disabled.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Naruto was the only one. Ierka spoke, this isn't a
- 17:25Speaker 1: disabled team wrong, You're the new Toko t satsu jonin
- 17:29Speaker 1: of being disabled. That may be my current title, yes,
- 17:31Speaker 1: but my special skill is teaching others, and before I
- 17:34Speaker 1: took on this team as my students, I was a
- 17:36Speaker 1: highly effective teacher in the academy. I have more experience
- 17:40Speaker 1: with able kids than with disabled ones. Besides, you're not
- 17:43Speaker 1: the only able kid on the team. He Nada is
- 17:46Speaker 1: abled to In fact, she's probably the most able, considering
- 17:49Speaker 1: that she has a biyakugan. He said, So try not
- 17:52Speaker 1: to let this bother you. You're not on a team of
- 17:54Speaker 1: disabled kids. You're on a team that teaches in a
- 17:56Speaker 1: way other teams don't, and right now, that's what you need.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Hearism wants me to teach you in a way that
- 18:01Speaker 1: many others don't, to show you the difference between confidence
- 18:05Speaker 1: and ego, between honor and pride. If you ask me, though,
- 18:08Speaker 1: one more lesson I could teach you is patience. Patience.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Why patience, Because you're always go, go, go all the time.
- 18:15Speaker 1: You want to go straight from being an academy student
- 18:17Speaker 1: of being hokage. But you have so much life in
- 18:20Speaker 1: you and so much time to study and grow your skills,
- 18:22Speaker 1: So please try not to focus so much in the future.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Stay grounded here in the present. Konohomaru nodded and went
- 18:28Speaker 1: back to his tasks upset. Naruto had overheard everything, though
- 18:32Speaker 1: his hearing was good compared to other children. For the
- 18:35Speaker 1: next few days, they did these things, and Naruto felt
- 18:38Speaker 1: that he was just holding his team back. His inability
- 18:41Speaker 1: to see made him question a lot of things. What
- 18:44Speaker 1: if he got into a battle and someone threw a
- 18:46Speaker 1: shurrickin or something else that he couldn't see, your sense,
- 18:48Speaker 1: he'd be defenseless. He might even get people on his
- 18:51Speaker 1: team hurt. And as the frustrations kept building up, one day,
- 18:54Speaker 1: when the team met, Naruto did not show up. Erika
- 18:57Speaker 1: looked around, where's narre Konohamaru shrugged, Maybe he got lost?
- 19:03Speaker 1: He not an elbowed Kono. Oh hey, it's possible that
- 19:07Speaker 1: Naruto slept too late, she said. Erica nodded, you two
- 19:10Speaker 1: stay here all right. I'm gonna go visit his apartment
- 19:13Speaker 1: to see what's up. Erica began to make his way
- 19:15Speaker 1: toward Naroto's apartment. Once he got there, he knocked on
- 19:18Speaker 1: the door. Naruto, it's me, he said. He waited. He
- 19:22Speaker 1: knocked again, Naruto, it's Erica. Open up. Another moment passed,
- 19:26Speaker 1: and as Erica prepared to knock again, the door opened.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Morning Naruto I think you overslept, he said. Naruto yoned
- 19:34Speaker 1: what time is it? About nine o'clock? Erica said, no,
- 19:37Speaker 1: I didn't oversleep. I'm sleeping until eleven, he said Naruto.
- 19:41Speaker 1: It's Thursday. We meet on Thursdays, Saturday and Sunday are
- 19:45Speaker 1: our allotted days off. Naruto walked back into his house,
- 19:48Speaker 1: letting Erica follow. I know, then, why didn't you show up?
- 19:51Speaker 1: He asked, closing the door behind him. Naruto walked back
- 19:54Speaker 1: to the kitchen. His hands began to go over the
- 19:57Speaker 1: cabinet until he found the sticker that said bowls on
- 19:59Speaker 1: it in He opened it up and searched for a bowl.
- 20:02Speaker 1: He then opened a drawer and pulled out a spoon.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Grabbing at the top of the fridge, he pulled down
- 20:06Speaker 1: cereal and poured some in before opening the fridge and
- 20:09Speaker 1: pulling out a gallon of milk. He opened it and
- 20:11Speaker 1: stuck his nose to it and sniffed. He then took
- 20:14Speaker 1: a sip all to test if the milk were still good.
- 20:16Speaker 1: It was, so, he lifted it up and began to
- 20:18Speaker 1: pour it in. He then took it to the table
- 20:20Speaker 1: and sat down with it and began to eat. Why
- 20:22Speaker 1: didn't you show up, Naruto, Erica asked, because I quit?
- 20:26Speaker 1: He said, as a matter of fact, nonchalantly taking another
- 20:28Speaker 1: bite of cereal, you quit. Erica was confused. Why Because
- 20:33Speaker 1: I just don't have the skills needed to survive Erica,
- 20:36Speaker 1: he said, having ditched the sense honorific. Erica looked at
- 20:39Speaker 1: Naruto for a moment before speaking, I don't understand. Isn't
- 20:43Speaker 1: this what you wanted most? Naruto shrugged mah. Erica pulled
- 20:47Speaker 1: up a chair across from Naruto and sat down. Mah,
- 20:50Speaker 1: isn't an answer, Naruto. You can say mah, but I
- 20:52Speaker 1: know what you really want. You don't know what I want?
- 20:55Speaker 1: Naruto said, yes, I do. You want to be a shinobi.
- 20:58Speaker 1: If you didn't, you wouldn't have trained. So you stayed
- 21:01Speaker 1: every day after school just to learn ninjutsu. You learned
- 21:04Speaker 1: the hand signs, You managed to learn shape, manipulation, and
- 21:07Speaker 1: technical skills required to use real ninjutsu, ninjutsu most your
- 21:11Speaker 1: age can't even imagine using. And you did all that
- 21:13Speaker 1: with hard work and dedication. Well, I changed my mind,
- 21:16Speaker 1: Naruto said, I don't want to be a shnobi anymore.
- 21:19Speaker 1: What do you mean I don't want to be a
- 21:21Speaker 1: shnobi anymore, Naruto said. Erica sat there and began to think.
- 21:25Speaker 1: All right, I totally understand. So what do you want
- 21:29Speaker 1: to be instead? He asked? Uh, maybe a banker? He said, cool,
- 21:35Speaker 1: I'll call here is an up and tell him to
- 21:36Speaker 1: get you into classes as soon as possible. Wait, no,
- 21:39Speaker 1: Naruto said, dropping his spoon. Erica smiled. Soon the smile faded. Naruto,
- 21:45Speaker 1: Why do you really want to quit being a shanobi,
- 21:47Speaker 1: he asked. Naruto sat silently. I'm failing, he said, failing.
- 21:53Speaker 1: How I can't do simple things? He said. I can't
- 21:56Speaker 1: even pick up trash or doggy do. I don't think
- 21:59Speaker 1: enemy shnoba we write all their secrets in that. I
- 22:01Speaker 1: sometimes can't sense small objects that don't have any chokra
- 22:04Speaker 1: to them. That's troubling. What happens if I'm in the
- 22:08Speaker 1: field and a shirriken or kunai is coming my way?
- 22:10Speaker 1: How do I dodge what I don't see? What I
- 22:12Speaker 1: can't sense? Naruto, you don't know that you can't sense
- 22:15Speaker 1: those things. You're picking up stationary objects. It would be
- 22:19Speaker 1: like asking me to dig up a single land mine
- 22:21Speaker 1: in an open field. It just doesn't work, he said,
- 22:24Speaker 1: finding a needle in a haystack. That's what we're asking
- 22:27Speaker 1: you to do. Still, it's a skill I'll never truly learn,
- 22:30Speaker 1: he said. You don't know that, Naruto. Just because you
- 22:33Speaker 1: can't do it now doesn't mean it can't be done.
- 22:35Speaker 1: He said, your senses will sharpen. And besides, if you
- 22:39Speaker 1: were in a frenetic situation, I'm sure you could sense
- 22:41Speaker 1: those things. In situations like that, our senses heightened, and
- 22:45Speaker 1: that means we become more sensitive to things. He said.
- 22:47Speaker 1: In a combat situation, Naruto, you would be able to
- 22:50Speaker 1: handle the sensory load. Naruto sent there silently. What if
- 22:54Speaker 1: I get Hinata or Kono killed one day because they're
- 22:57Speaker 1: covering for me? Erica finally understood. When it was only
- 23:00Speaker 1: Naruto's neck on the line, he was willing to push further.
- 23:03Speaker 1: But when he, Nada, and Konahamru were introduced to the scene,
- 23:07Speaker 1: Naruto became more sensitive of their needs. Oh, Naruto, Erica said.
- 23:12Speaker 1: He let out a sigh. I've been going at this
- 23:14Speaker 1: all wrong. I don't need to push you less, I
- 23:16Speaker 1: need to push you harder, he said. Naruto's eyes, despite
- 23:20Speaker 1: being functionless, rose up toward Erica's direction. With a questioning expression.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Erica then spoke, how was it that you got through
- 23:27Speaker 1: the academy? It wasn't by taking it easy on you.
- 23:30Speaker 1: It was by pushing you beyond. You need to be
- 23:32Speaker 1: able to push yourself beyond. Erica stood up. You feel
- 23:36Speaker 1: like you can't do it, and that's only because I
- 23:37Speaker 1: haven't pushed you hard enough yet. If Konohamaru feels like
- 23:40Speaker 1: things are too easy, then I'll make it harder on
- 23:42Speaker 1: him too. I'll push he nada, I'll push you all.
- 23:45Speaker 1: It's not enough that you just become shinobi. You got
- 23:47Speaker 1: to become the best shinobi. That's what anyone should crave.
- 23:51Speaker 1: I'm not anyone, though, I'm blind, So what, Erica asked,
- 23:55Speaker 1: Just because you can't see, does that mean you're not
- 23:57Speaker 1: allowed to dream? Who told you that you have to
- 23:59Speaker 1: dream so small because of a disability? No, you want
- 24:02Speaker 1: to dream big. Tell me, Naruto, what do you want
- 24:05Speaker 1: to be a ninja? I guess he said, No, you
- 24:08Speaker 1: can go higher. I know what Konohamaru wants. He wants
- 24:11Speaker 1: to be Hokagi. Naruto's eyes widened. Erica smiled. Tell me, Naruto,
- 24:16Speaker 1: what do you want? Whatever your heart really wants? No
- 24:18Speaker 1: matter how impossible it might sound. Tell me I want
- 24:21Speaker 1: to be Hokage. Oh you want to outdo Konohomaru. It's impossible, though,
- 24:27Speaker 1: Naruto said, No, it's not. It's just harder for you
- 24:30Speaker 1: than most. That's why you have to want it more
- 24:33Speaker 1: than them. It's only impossible if you say it is.
- 24:36Speaker 1: If you push yourself hard enough and try your hardest,
- 24:38Speaker 1: you can achieve it. It just takes the hardest amount
- 24:41Speaker 1: of work you can put into it. And what if
- 24:43Speaker 1: I don't become Hokagi, Naruto asked, then you'll damn sure
- 24:46Speaker 1: be a great shinobi. Naruto thought about it. Erko walked
- 24:50Speaker 1: to Naruto's side and knelt down. Nobody else believes in you, Naruto,
- 24:54Speaker 1: even you don't believe in yourself. But you know what,
- 24:56Speaker 1: none of that matters, because I believe in you. I'll
- 24:59Speaker 1: never stop. You're going to be the best shnobi ever
- 25:02Speaker 1: and I'm going to see to it. But I can
- 25:04Speaker 1: only help you if you let me. He then held
- 25:06Speaker 1: out his hand. Naruto, will you let me help you
- 25:09Speaker 1: achieve your dreams? He asked. Naruto thought about it for
- 25:12Speaker 1: quite some time. He then took Erica's hand. Please make
- 25:16Speaker 1: me the best Shnobi to ever live. And that's where
- 25:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna pause it for today. I hope you enjoyed it.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I've been boiling on this idea ever since we kicked
- 25:24Speaker 1: off What if Naruto had every mongacu ability? It made
- 25:27Speaker 1: me think a lot about how I really wanted to
- 25:29Speaker 1: write a story about an actually blind shenobi, one who,
- 25:33Speaker 1: no matter what happens, no matter what the world thinks
- 25:36Speaker 1: of them, refuses to give up a character that represents
- 25:39Speaker 1: what I think about the blind people all across the world.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Dreams are something you reach for regardless of what you
- 25:46Speaker 1: can or can't do, and those who keep reaching may
- 25:49Speaker 1: just see their dreams come true. But anyway, what did
- 25:53Speaker 1: you think of this video? What would you like to
- 25:54Speaker 1: see in the next part? What other videos would you
- 25:57Speaker 1: like to see us make? Make sure you let us
