  Speaker 2: Like I I'd heard a little bit about it, but

  Speaker 2: not much in two details. And then we had a

  Speaker 2: had a bit of a catch up with a few

  Speaker 2: people that had previously been to Big Sound and all

  Speaker 4: What do you as a band like, what do you

  Speaker 4: hope to take out of an experience on this?

  Speaker 2: As a band? I am very interested to see other

  Speaker 2: acts playing, also meeting like minded people, very interested to

  Speaker 2: see just from all sort of all sort of bases,

  Speaker 2: you know, where you got your promoters, agents, sink agents,

  Speaker 2: like even roles I've never heard of before. So I'm

  Speaker 2: just very interested just to meet every single person that

  Speaker 2: I can possibly meet and just you know, make some

  Speaker 2: good connections.

  Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a massive there's nothing else like it in

  Speaker 3: the whole of Australia.

  Speaker 4: But from a band's point of view, like what are

  Speaker 4: the things like Big Sound mead to the bands into

  Speaker 4: the future of Australian music.

  Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I think it's pretty awesome that we have

  Speaker 1: this sort of thing in Australia that you know, it's

  Speaker 1: so focused on the future of music and you know,

  Speaker 1: it's the biggest thing that's like this in the Southern

  Speaker 1: Hemisphere obviously, so like we're pretty lucky to be able

  Speaker 1: to have that. And yeah, the Big Sound gives a

  Speaker 1: stage where artists can showcase themselves to people from all

  Speaker 1: around the world and meet people in the industry and

  Speaker 1: industry professionals to be able to scout future talent and stuff.

  Speaker 5: It's it's pretty awesome.

  Speaker 1: I'm really excited just to see, like, you know, to

  Speaker 1: be in a city where all that's happening for a

  Speaker 1: whole week. You know, it's it's not something you get

  Speaker 1: to do every day. So I think that's what's what's

  Speaker 1: really cool about it.

  Speaker 4: You know, you's going to be one of like one

  Speaker 4: hundred and twenty bands playing, so you know, to bring

  Speaker 2: Boys, It's it's insane. It is absolutely insane. There's gonna

  Speaker 2: be that much acts going on over a whole week.

  Speaker 3: Do you prepare for it?

  Speaker 4: Like this isn't just a normal gig, you know, like

  Speaker 4: it's just like you say, there's promoters there, there's agents

  Speaker 4: and lots of different stuff.

  Speaker 3: So do you prepare for it any differently?

  Speaker 1: Oh?

  Speaker 2: Absolutely, I reckon you do. Like it's it's one thing

  Speaker 2: just to play a normal show, but to be able

  Speaker 2: to play something like this, it's you've really got to

  Speaker 2: bring your a game and like you got covering over

  Speaker 2: every base in terms of a performance side anyway, where

  Speaker 2: it's not just a I mean, you do have to

  Speaker 2: go above and beyond because you want to be as
• 3:40
  Speaker 2: impactful as possible, especially in that short period of time.

  Speaker 4: Yeah, what do you guys like with your working out

  Speaker 4: of stuff? Like it's just like you say, there's going

  Speaker 4: to be networking you catch up with old friends. You're

  Speaker 4: playing like you're gonna particulously plan an your days out

  Speaker 4: or you're just gonna get there and wing it.

  Speaker 2: I'd say I'm going to try, but I reckon it's

  Speaker 2: much is going to happen that I'll have a schedule

  Speaker 2: and it's just going to go straight out the window.

  Speaker 1: But yeah, we're trying to trying to keep to some

  Speaker 1: sort of schedule between us, but I we'll see what happens,

  Speaker 4: Straight now, you guys got two shows one of the

  Speaker 4: Alligator Club on the second of September, wanted the Pray

  Speaker 4: Bar on the form of September.

  Speaker 3: So what can what does expect from you guys?

  Speaker 1: From looking at the lineup and what I've looked at

  Speaker 1: other bands, we're probably one of the heavier sort of

  Speaker 1: bands on the lineup. So if you're into your heavy
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: breakdowns and you know, just heavy music, then you can
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: expect that if you want to come and check it out.

  Speaker 1: We'd love to be able to bring that sort of

  Speaker 1: thing too. Big sounds yeah, just a high energetic fun yeah,

  Speaker 1: just non stop fast performance, crazy aggressive yeah.

  Speaker 5: Yeah, so that's that's how we normally do it anyway.

  Speaker 1: But you know, obviously we just want to go really

  Speaker 1: hard and anyone that walks in the door, we want

  Speaker 1: to just almost blow them straight.

  Speaker 4: So well, there's a chance to sell yourself, guys, like,

  Speaker 4: because there are so many bands playing, why should somebody

  Speaker 4: mark you, guys down in their car under and come

  Speaker 2: If you want hard, impactful, intense music, we are the

  Speaker 1: We've been doing it for like as a band together

  Speaker 1: just about eight years now.

  Speaker 5: We've been a band individually.

  Speaker 1: We've all been in the music industry for much longer,

  Speaker 1: so we know what we're doing.

  Speaker 5: We're professional.

  Speaker 1: In pretty much every aspect that we can be as

  Speaker 1: an unsigned, independent band, and I think that we're pretty

  Speaker 1: impressive and fun to watch.

  Speaker 3: So I can't sell yourself in it. You can't take

  Speaker 3: yourself up to.

  Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, well right, yeah right, yeah.

  Speaker 1: You know, obviously we've been doing it long enough to

  Speaker 1: know that we are good at what we do and

  Speaker 1: we like to put on a good show and have

  Speaker 5: So yeah, that's pretty much what we're about.

  Speaker 4: Yeah, it's perfect now atlet's returned a couple of months

  Speaker 4: ago from g years radio silence pretty much through this

  Speaker 4: Soul Crusher.

  Speaker 3: So how was it received?

  Speaker 2: Reception was good? I mean, as you say, I can't

  Speaker 2: believe actually now saying that, I can't believe it's been

  Speaker 2: that long. It's been good. Like I mean, been working

  Speaker 2: very quietly in the background, doing what we're doing. But

  Speaker 2: to finally get some new music out has been great.

  Speaker 2: I think we've had done a bit of soul searching

  Speaker 2: and just had a good sit down and been thinking about,

  Speaker 2: you know, where we want to take this band. So

  Speaker 2: to get the reception that it's beginning has been awesome

  Speaker 2: and it makes me excited to see, you know, what

  Speaker 6: some people might have moved on one musically or you'd

  Speaker 6: be starting to get in a sense because two years

  Speaker 6: is a bloody long time these days.

  Speaker 1: That is true in this kind of landscape. It is

  Speaker 1: a long time between drinks, i'd say, But also I

  Speaker 1: don't know, I think that the fan base we had

  Speaker 1: built over that time have shown to be very loyal

  Speaker 1: and obviously in the you know landscape of how it

  Speaker 1: is now with you know, the tiktokification of the internet

  Speaker 1: and stuff, it's quite easy to get your music out there,

  Speaker 1: more easy than ever before, you know, So like I don't,

  Speaker 1: I'm not scared of that.

  Speaker 5: That there's not going to be anyone left to listen.

  Speaker 1: It is obviously putting yourself back on the map as

  Speaker 1: a smaller dand after that amount of time, but we

  Speaker 1: have spent.

  Speaker 5: That time really nailing in what we want.

  Speaker 1: To do going forward, and we have a whole bunch

  Speaker 1: of stuff coming out of it the next couple of

  Speaker 1: years which we've spent this time working on as well.

  Speaker 1: So yeah, we're not We're going to have plenty coming

  Speaker 1: out to keep people engaged and be able to find.

  Speaker 5: The people that would like our music. So yeah, not

  Speaker 5: not too scared about it. Obviously, it is it.

  Speaker 1: Concern, you know, I'd u sillly do not say that

  Speaker 5: But yeah, I think we've really yeah.

  Speaker 1: Quietly confident that we can just you know, we're hardworking dudes.
