- 0:44Speaker 1: and today we step into Acts chapter eight. Right after
- 0:49Speaker 1: the martyrdom of Stephen. What looks like loss God turns
- 0:55Speaker 1: into expansion. We're gonna pray, We're gonna jump right into it.
- 1:02Speaker 1: But first I want to ask you to meet us
- 1:05Speaker 1: in the live chat. All you have to do is

- 1:29Speaker 1: how easy it is, and then you are a part
- 1:32Speaker 1: of the community. We'd like to call ourselves the small
- 1:35Speaker 1: group on radio where we can teach the Bible together,
- 1:40Speaker 1: interact with one another, ask questions, encourage each other, and
- 1:45Speaker 1: have a little fun with our trivia questions and the
- 1:47Speaker 1: games we like to play. And also we like to
- 1:52Speaker 1: hold each other accountable and agree with each other in prayer.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And then also we do all after the podcast so
- 2:03Speaker 1: we can get our fellowship on and if you like
- 2:06Speaker 1: to join the call. Let us know we can sing
- 2:09Speaker 1: you the number and we can do it like that
- 2:13Speaker 1: because on this podcast we believe that the ungrafted word
- 2:18Speaker 1: is able to save our souls. And so we like
- 2:21Speaker 1: to fellowship and we like to wrestle over the word
- 2:25Speaker 1: of God and pray for each other. So help us
- 2:29Speaker 1: grow the community. Give us a shout out and we
- 2:32Speaker 1: will shout you out right back. So it's good before
- 2:38Speaker 1: Father and prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank you, my Father
- 2:41Speaker 1: for another beautiful day. Thank you Father, God, Oh Lord,
- 2:45Speaker 1: wash us by your blood today. Father, forgive us, o
- 2:49Speaker 1: God for our sins of omission and commission. Help us
- 2:51Speaker 1: to walk faithfully today. Let us not lean to our
- 2:54Speaker 1: own understanding of God. Let us not make our own
- 2:59Speaker 1: Deshi decisions without coming before you in prayer. First, we
- 3:04Speaker 1: had to say you will bless this podcast, bless the
- 3:07Speaker 1: listeners in Jesus' name. Ammen. All right, So Acts chapter
- 3:19Speaker 1: eight we started a whole new chapter. Acts Chapter seven
- 3:24Speaker 1: was very exciting, so here's the follow up to it.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Acts Chapter eight. Stephan was just martyred. They just stone
- 3:37Speaker 1: him to death, and he saw a vision of heaven
- 3:40Speaker 1: and Jesus standing at the right hand of the Father.
- 3:46Speaker 1: And so this may seem like a tragedy, but let's
- 3:52Speaker 1: look at how God is able to make everything work
- 3:56Speaker 1: out for the good even though the enemy thinks he's won,
- 4:00Speaker 1: I mean, thinks he's gaining victory over us. God at
- 4:03Speaker 1: any moment can turn this around. So Acts chapter eight,
- 4:10Speaker 1: verse one, it says, now Saul was consenting to his death,
- 4:17Speaker 1: and we know that this Saul turns into the apostle Paul.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Right at this time a great persecution arose against the
- 4:26Speaker 1: Church which was at Jerusalem, and they were all scattered
- 4:32Speaker 1: throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, all except the apostles.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Now Saul's approval marks the beginning of organized persecution against
- 4:53Speaker 1: the Church. But yet this persecution fulfills Acts Chapter one,
- 4:59Speaker 1: verse eight, where Jesus said, the Gospel will go to Judea,
- 5:06Speaker 1: and the Gospel will also go to Samaria. God will
- 5:11Speaker 1: use pressure to accomplish purpose. That's another t shirt. God
- 5:19Speaker 1: uses pressure to accomplish purpose. Then in me thought he
- 5:26Speaker 1: was crushing the church, but God was mobilizing it. Amen,
- 5:34Speaker 1: we need to mobilize once again, Beloved. Now they were
- 5:39Speaker 1: comfortable where they were in Jerusalem. So God allowed pressure
- 5:43Speaker 1: to push him into purpose. Sometimes God allows scattering because
- 5:51Speaker 1: staying put will keep us stagnant. Remember that times God
- 6:01Speaker 1: will allow that to happen, and we have to just
- 6:05Speaker 1: ask God the purpose behind certain trials and pressures that
- 6:10Speaker 1: come in our lives. Amen Verse two. And devout men
- 6:16Speaker 1: carried Stephen to his burial and made great limitations over him. Now,
- 6:25Speaker 1: grief does not cancel out our faith. The early Church
- 6:30Speaker 1: mourned deeply and God never rebuked them for it. Stephan
- 6:40Speaker 1: mattered to the church. Stephan was a powerful role model
- 6:45Speaker 1: to the early believers. So faith doesn't mean that we
- 6:52Speaker 1: never grief or we never grieve over a loved one.
- 6:56Speaker 1: It means you grieve, but you grieve with hope. We
- 7:05Speaker 1: don't grieve as the world grieves without hope. Even spirit
- 7:12Speaker 1: filled believers still can feel lost. And man, I can't
- 7:19Speaker 1: wait until I joined my brother pastor Mike Bumgart. He
- 7:27Speaker 1: was promoted to heaven years ago and he made a
- 7:31Speaker 1: huge impact on my walk with the Lord. Acts three.
- 7:39Speaker 1: As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering
- 7:45Speaker 1: every house and dragging off men and women, committing them
- 7:50Speaker 1: to prison. Now Saw believed he was doing God's will
- 7:56Speaker 1: at this time. Religious zeal without relationship with God can
- 8:06Speaker 1: become destructive. Saul I had a religious zeal, but at
- 8:14Speaker 1: this point he was yet to have an actual relationship. Now,
- 8:19Speaker 1: this wasn't random persecution. It was systematic persecution. Right, men
- 8:27Speaker 1: and women homes were invaded. Religion without spirit becomes dangerous.
- 8:37Speaker 1: But don't miss this. God is already preparing Saul for redemption.
- 8:46Speaker 1: God already had a plan for him. So don't give
- 8:57Speaker 1: up on your family members and loved ones. It might
- 9:02Speaker 1: seem like they're so far away from God, but you
- 9:08Speaker 1: know God can work out all things amen. Verse four. Therefore,
- 9:14Speaker 1: those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word Hallelujah.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Now it wasn't just the apostles that were preaching, it
- 9:27Speaker 1: was ordinary believers. This verse defines Christianity right here. They
- 9:37Speaker 1: did not complain about the persecution. They didn't run and
- 9:41Speaker 1: hide it because of the persecution. They went out and
- 9:45Speaker 1: they preached. They preached the gospel. Scattered believers become scent believers.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Let me say that again, Scattered believers becomes scent believers.
- 10:01Speaker 1: How many of us if we were driven out of
- 10:04Speaker 1: Las Vegas because of the Gospel, where we go about
- 10:09Speaker 1: to our neighboring cities preaching the Word of where we
- 10:14Speaker 1: complain and be depressed and angry and get into our
- 10:18Speaker 1: little huddles, right, or are we gonna be fearful and
- 10:22Speaker 1: scared and not say nothing anymore? Now this is a
- 10:27Speaker 1: perfect example. And I'm thinking about the persecution in Africa.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Or they're burning churches and they're slaughtering people, and the
- 10:38Speaker 1: Christians keep showing up, they keep coming out, They're worshiping God.
- 10:43Speaker 1: They went inside it burnt church and still worshiped the Lord.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Now that is faith. Shout out to our brothers and sisters, Allelujah.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Now Philip steps in the scene right here. As you
- 11:06Speaker 1: can remember, Philip was one of the chosen, chosen with
- 11:11Speaker 1: Stephan And it says then Philip went down to the
- 11:17Speaker 1: city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. Now he
- 11:22Speaker 1: was down in Samaria. Remember Jesus himself went to Samaria.
- 11:27Speaker 1: He met with the Samaritan women. And so Samaria already
- 11:32Speaker 1: had an encounter with the Messiah. The hearts were already
- 11:38Speaker 1: open to him. And now they hear the full Gospel
- 11:42Speaker 1: from Philip. And when Philip did this, just like Jesus.
- 11:49Speaker 1: He crossed cultural and racial barriers. Jews despised Samaritans. Yet
- 11:57Speaker 1: the Gospel erased all the hostility between the two. Philip
- 12:04Speaker 1: didn't go down there to preach religion, and he didn't
- 12:09Speaker 1: preach politics to him. He preached Christ crucified, and that
- 12:15Speaker 1: is the apostles doctrine. Revival always centers on Jesus himself. Amen,
- 12:27Speaker 1: you got to keep the main thing, the main thing, Acts,
- 12:32Speaker 1: chapter eight, verse six. In the multitudes with one accord
- 12:37Speaker 1: heated the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the
- 12:43Speaker 1: miracles which he did. Now, I find it's interesting that
- 12:49Speaker 1: Philip was performing miracles just like stephan It said that
- 12:55Speaker 1: Stephanie was performing miracles and wonders in front of the people,
- 13:01Speaker 1: and he had great power. Then here is Philip doing
- 13:07Speaker 1: the same thing. Now. The miracles confirmed the message of Christ.
- 13:16Speaker 1: They did not replace the message. Amen. Truth was preached.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Power followed word in spirit. Working together always draws attention
- 13:29Speaker 1: to Christ. Amen, And I pray that God will duplicate
- 13:34Speaker 1: that for us. Today we see a lot of preaching,
- 13:38Speaker 1: but we don't see power like we did here in
- 13:42Speaker 1: the Book of Acts, chapter seven. For unclean spirits crying
- 13:49Speaker 1: out with loud voice, came out of many who were possessed,
- 13:55Speaker 1: and many who were paralyzed in lame were healed. Now,
- 14:00Speaker 1: who does that sound like? That sound like the ministry
- 14:05Speaker 1: of Jesus himself a man. This is us, beloved. This
- 14:10Speaker 1: is how we are supposed to look Deliverance A company's
- 14:19Speaker 1: gospel proclamation. Darkness cannot exist with light, or should I
- 14:30Speaker 1: say darkness cannot co exist with life. Jesus is still
- 14:39Speaker 1: in the business of breaking chains. He is still wants
- 14:43Speaker 1: his children to perform miracles and wonders. Salvation isn't just forgiveness.
- 14:52Speaker 1: It's freedom. We have a freedom, and we have a
- 14:57Speaker 1: liberty in Christ Jesus Verse eight. And there was great
- 15:05Speaker 1: joy in that city. Joy is always the fruit of
- 15:12Speaker 1: genuine salvation. Right, hype when people hype, is not the
- 15:19Speaker 1: fruit just making noise. It's not the fruit. It's joy.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Because people were truly changed, People truly changed, and people
- 15:30Speaker 1: are truly impacted. Joy will follow Amen verse nine. But
- 15:38Speaker 1: there was a certain man called Simon, who previously practiced
- 15:44Speaker 1: sorcery in the city and astonished the people of Samaria.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Now Simon loved influenced more than the truth itself, the
- 15:56Speaker 1: truth of the Gospel. Counterfeit power always competes with God's work.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Now this is crazy. Not everyone likes revival for the
- 16:16Speaker 1: right reason. Some people just want power. But they're now
- 16:22Speaker 1: drawn to repentance. And it shows you that his power
- 16:29Speaker 1: was demonic. The enemy is able to counterfeit. The enemy
- 16:36Speaker 1: is able to try to mimic God, and he tries
- 16:40Speaker 1: to make himself more powerful than God. But those of
- 16:45Speaker 1: us who know the truth no better than that. Amen,
- 16:56Speaker 1: all right? Ten and eleven to whom they all gave heed,
- 17:00Speaker 1: saying this man is the great power of God.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Now lost another one.
- 17:08Speaker 1: These people here they confuse demonic deception for divine authority.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Signs without truth is deceptive. That's why we need to
- 17:25Speaker 1: ask and pray for discernment. And this reminds me of
- 17:31Speaker 1: the Book of Revelations, the Book of Revelation, where it
- 17:38Speaker 1: teaches the false prophet will call fire down from heaven,
- 17:44Speaker 1: and the false prophet himself will perform miracles, signs and wonders.
- 17:52Speaker 1: In all of his miracles and wonders will all be deceptive.
- 17:58Speaker 1: The purpose is to eve the people, and it says
- 18:03Speaker 1: that God will allow a spirit of strong delusion to
- 18:08Speaker 1: fall over all the unbelievers and all those who rejected Christ, which,
- 18:19Speaker 1: as you know, will seal their doom. Hey man, verse
- 18:29Speaker 1: twelve and thirteen. But when they believe Philip, not Stephan,
- 18:34Speaker 1: but Philip is on the scene now. But when they
- 18:37Speaker 1: believe Philip as he preached the themes concerning the Kingdom
- 18:41Speaker 1: of God in the name of Jesus Christ, then Simon
- 18:47Speaker 1: himself also believed. Now Simon believed intellectually, but not yet spiritually,
- 18:55Speaker 1: his heart still craved power. Belief is not always surrender.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Let me say that again. Belief. You may believe in
- 19:09Speaker 1: the truth, you may believe in the Gospel, and you
- 19:13Speaker 1: may believe that going to church is right. You may
- 19:16Speaker 1: support it and even you know, willing to lay your
- 19:19Speaker 1: life down for it. But does that bring you to surrender?
- 19:26Speaker 1: Faith without repentance is incomplete. Faith without repentance is incomplete.
- 19:41Speaker 1: And this will be exposed a little later as we
- 19:47Speaker 1: continue the chapter. All right, it's time for a break.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I'll be right back.
- 19:57Speaker 2: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 20:01Speaker 2: this is the hiss hop radio show.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Father, help them, Father, they know not what they do.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Live flte girls the nerver sing that you soon the
- 20:20Speaker 4: day will conver know me your juice simply, Hey, you
- 20:28Speaker 4: know who they'll pay me.
- 20:30Speaker 1: They know that I am just a man.
- 20:33Speaker 5: See men all my name man, I don't even know
- 20:35Speaker 5: who they are. Funny when your name is and the man.
- 20:39Speaker 5: They don't give you flowers to you laying in a
- 20:42Speaker 5: great pay.
- 20:43Speaker 6: Me, pay me your mind in it.
- 20:44Speaker 7: Cants you see one to type bricake the effects and
- 20:47Speaker 7: take my inner sense. Sister, want to break and break
- 20:49Speaker 7: it down and take my different desks.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Sister, want to see.
- 20:52Speaker 7: The light in the truck or put me in the
- 20:54Speaker 7: pants systematic how I went and did it like I
- 20:56Speaker 7: had to have it, even though one knew my chists
- 20:59Speaker 7: no more than they had. They never swinging for the
- 21:01Speaker 7: fences that defenses. That was one defence.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Even when they run.
- 21:04Speaker 7: My place, I still make it home safe safe, Hey, father,
- 21:10Speaker 7: help there far.
- 21:11Speaker 1: They know not what they do.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Ever lie because they never seen the ju so that
- 21:23Speaker 3: they will come without me your shoes.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Fifth they hate eating you.
- 21:30Speaker 5: I know they'll hate me till then, or that I
- 21:33Speaker 5: am just a man. They don't give you flowers to
- 21:37Speaker 5: you laying in the grave.
- 21:38Speaker 7: Ain't no moving backwards, even when they sat there in
- 21:41Speaker 7: the back. I kept them moving, and that's the few
- 21:43Speaker 7: that separate me from the back. I'm only ever into places.
- 21:46Speaker 1: In my lap or rid my back.
- 21:47Speaker 7: I took the decker from my back to go back
- 21:49Speaker 7: that damn God said.
- 21:51Speaker 1: The benches are never mind.
- 21:52Speaker 7: I had my foot on the neckers and never mind,
- 21:54Speaker 7: never forever lines. I ain't a battle one picked the
- 21:57Speaker 7: rechever time. How you defeating man that was created by
- 22:00Speaker 7: want to feed the man? In order to meet a man,
- 22:02Speaker 7: you gotta go down and get back on your feet again.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Father, help them far they know love what they do
- 22:12Speaker 3: fell alive because they never see the truth.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Soon the day will come. Would now be in your shoes.
- 22:24Speaker 8: That's if they hated you, I know they'll hate me too.
- 22:31Speaker 6: Now I refuse the color.
- 22:33Speaker 8: Inside of these lines.
- 22:37Speaker 1: And no longer playing.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Say if I chose a.
- 22:41Speaker 8: Side and no amount of it could take me, be
- 22:47Speaker 8: surps because if they turned away from you, then who
- 22:53Speaker 8: am I?
- 23:00Speaker 6: Ah? No help the one they know John one day
- 23:08Speaker 6: felize because they do see human day will come when
- 23:16Speaker 6: now you you.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Too, you are listening to the light of Las Vegas.
- 23:35Speaker 2: This is the hiss Hop Radio Show.
- 23:56Speaker 1: All right, all right, we're back from that break that
- 24:00Speaker 1: was Kyle Alexander Malli music. Yeah, I'm feeling that one.
- 24:05Speaker 1: That's a put that on my favorites list right there.
- 24:12Speaker 1: If you listen to Inside Radio you stream at twenty
- 24:17Speaker 1: four seven. We got a lot of hot music that
- 24:22Speaker 1: we throw your way. We have some music that you're
- 24:24Speaker 1: not gonna hear anywhere else as well. We got a
- 24:27Speaker 1: lot of exclusive music. So we pray and hope that
- 24:32Speaker 1: you will adopt us as your music platform as we
- 24:37Speaker 1: push this movement of God. Amen. That was time for
- 24:44Speaker 1: our accountability partner segments. This segment was birthed out of
- 24:50Speaker 1: my heart watching my brothers and sisters struggle for years
- 24:56Speaker 1: over the same issues, the same scene. Some things will
- 25:02Speaker 1: not be broken until you get agreement in prayer. Sometimes
- 25:06Speaker 1: we need that accountability. We need someone in our lives
- 25:10Speaker 1: that are able to ask us questions, able to say, hey,
- 25:15Speaker 1: did you do the right thing? You know? Are you,
- 25:20Speaker 1: you know, back on the right path? Are you dibbling
- 25:24Speaker 1: and dabbling with sin? Do you have compromise in your
- 25:27Speaker 1: life you know? Or what areas are you struggling with?
- 25:30Speaker 1: And it's good to have a prayer partner, someone to
- 25:33Speaker 1: help pray and someone that can lead us to the
- 25:37Speaker 1: Word of God. When you know, our thinking can become
- 25:41Speaker 1: messed up. We need to renew our minds with the
- 25:44Speaker 1: Word and sometimes God will place people in our lives
- 25:49Speaker 1: to help us do that. So we give you a
- 25:51Speaker 1: daily challenge. You're on the podcast, but if you want
- 25:54Speaker 1: to go further in the segments, go to the top
- 25:58Speaker 1: left menu on the app looked on podcasts. Cook on
- 26:02Speaker 1: to his Hot Radio podcast and then find the link
- 26:05Speaker 1: that says Accountability Partner and you can request a follow
- 26:10Speaker 1: up in myself or someone from our team will just
- 26:13Speaker 1: hit you up. So you guys can get agreement in
- 26:16Speaker 1: prayer and get a little accountability a man. And if
- 26:22Speaker 1: you already have it, your pastor or someone from your church,
- 26:26Speaker 1: a small group leader, give them a call and speak
- 26:32Speaker 1: on this as a topic. Where has God scattered me
- 26:37Speaker 1: for a purpose? You know God and may have scattered you,
- 26:43Speaker 1: may have caused you to change your job or school
- 26:46Speaker 1: or something like that. Then ask a question, am I
- 26:52Speaker 1: preaching with my life or hiding in comfort with my
- 27:01Speaker 1: life or in my heighting away and comfort? That's the
- 27:07Speaker 1: Holy Spirit that and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Say man, Also, we'd like to remind you that It's
- 27:19Speaker 1: Hot Radio is a monitored and a reporting radio station.
- 27:22Speaker 1: We report to DRT Gospel music charts. We have our
- 27:27Speaker 1: own chart on the app itself. If you listen to
- 27:32Speaker 1: the app twenty four to seven and your song comes
- 27:37Speaker 1: on and you see the thumbs up next to it,
- 27:39Speaker 1: hit that thumbs up and give yourself five star ratings
- 27:43Speaker 1: and you can become number one on the app itself.
- 27:50Speaker 1: It is a music app or radio app. You can
- 27:56Speaker 1: share it. There's a lot you can do. Make sure
- 28:00Speaker 1: you spend some time and just get to know the
- 28:04Speaker 1: app in its entirety. It's out there to help push
- 28:07Speaker 1: the genre and it is also an evangelistic tool. Share
- 28:11Speaker 1: it to your family members and friends social media because
- 28:16Speaker 1: if we don't make any noise, then nobody else will,
- 28:19Speaker 1: right if you believe that this is a good platform.
- 28:25Speaker 1: And also share our blogs on our radio, I mean
- 28:29Speaker 1: on our website hishotnation dot com. We have music blogs.

- 29:19Speaker 1: Let's see who's gonna get the answer first today. Shout
- 29:23Speaker 1: out to our brother Corinth. Shout out to his own three.
- 29:28Speaker 1: This is his hot Quincy all those who like to
- 29:32Speaker 1: show up now. This one is for all the marbles,
- 29:38Speaker 1: which I don't have any marbles, but I just feel
- 29:41Speaker 1: like saying that. So here's a question, which city experience
- 29:48Speaker 1: great joy after Philip preached Christ? Which city experienced great
- 29:55Speaker 1: joy after Philip preached Christ? All right, go ahead and
