- 0:01Speaker 1: Now here's your host, Alex Darren. All right, well, and
- 0:06Speaker 1: what is.
- 0:06Speaker 2: The ADA day it was? Maybe we'll get into it
- 0:10Speaker 2: as the days come, but to the end of the day,
- 0:13Speaker 2: a couple of thoughts. Firstly, prayers for Seattle. There have
- 0:20Speaker 2: been a couple killed, unfortunately and many wounded in a
- 0:26Speaker 2: shooting at a food festival by the Space thing in Seattle.
- 0:30Speaker 2: So right off the bat, prayers to those in Seattle
- 0:36Speaker 2: right now as we talk at one leg a Ballex Media. Secondly, secondly,
- 0:45Speaker 2: what a crazy weekend. I now have an iPhone seventeen
- 0:49Speaker 2: that works for texts and calling, but I need the
- 0:53Speaker 2: other iPhone for my apps. Hopefully everything gets transferred with
- 0:56Speaker 2: Apple and all that. We'll have to see how that
- 0:59Speaker 2: plays out in the next time couple of days, but
- 1:01Speaker 2: I am reachable always at Alex at alex g NYC
- 1:06Speaker 2: dot com. Then thirdly, today it was expected the Inks
- 1:13Speaker 2: lose because Belly is now on the ten day injured list,
- 1:18Speaker 2: which is just really devastating for the kind of trip
- 1:21Speaker 2: that they're going to go on now in Chicago to
- 1:25Speaker 2: both the White Sox and the Cubbies. But I want
- 1:30Speaker 2: to turn your attention to something else. Pretty remarkable and
- 1:33Speaker 2: we're going to talk to lou Terminello about this, of
- 1:37Speaker 2: course in just a little bit. But I had this
- 1:46Speaker 2: report from MLB dot com. You gotta hear this, You
- 1:50Speaker 2: gotta hear what happened here today's Rockies and Brewers game.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Of course, Rockies lose win Brewers every seven and two Homestead.
- 2:04Speaker 2: But we've talked about the Nixon five. How about the
- 2:08Speaker 2: miz In five. Jacob Mizarowski, who, of course drew a
- 2:13Speaker 2: lot of attention last year, getting the start in the
- 2:16Speaker 2: All Star Game in his rookie season, certainly proving it.
- 2:21Speaker 2: But he's just gotten better and better, and today.
- 2:26Speaker 3: He struck out twelve of the first thirteen batters he faced,
- 2:30Speaker 3: retiring the first fourteen overall, altering the innings of authoring
- 2:35Speaker 3: five innings of overpowering.
- 2:37Speaker 2: History in the Brewers eleven to to win. This, according
- 2:43Speaker 2: to MLB dot Com and the writer there Zach Sweet,
- 2:56Speaker 2: I mean five innings, five innings, they wrote, He wrote,
- 3:01Speaker 2: the Rockies hitters knew immediately, one after another. They stepped
- 3:04Speaker 2: into the batter's box Sunday afternoon watched Missowski Misowski uncork
- 3:10Speaker 2: another triple digit basketball and made the same lie walk
- 3:13Speaker 2: to the dugout. Missowski wasn't even throwing hard. Everyone in
- 3:19Speaker 2: the ballpark knew there was coming. It was the Rockies
- 3:23Speaker 2: new too, but still could do nothing nothing about it.
- 3:30Speaker 2: When he locates it in the top half of the zone,
- 3:33Speaker 2: Murphy Pat Murphy, the manager says, it's really hard to hit.
- 3:37Speaker 2: He's extension and his command of it, and the fact
- 3:40Speaker 2: that he got secondary stuff to go with it makes
- 3:42Speaker 2: it even tougher. But listen to this. When he fanned
- 3:53Speaker 2: his seventh consecutive batter to begin the third inning, he
- 3:57Speaker 2: set a Brewers franchise record, passing Quinn Priest's sixth grade
- 4:02Speaker 2: to open a game last September. Seven consecutive strikeouts. And
- 4:10Speaker 2: here's the interesting point. Miss in five, five innings of
- 4:17Speaker 2: work to pull off uh twelve of the first team
- 4:33Speaker 2: twelve strikeouts. Twelve strikeouts in five minutes. You look at
- 4:41Speaker 2: that and you say to yourself, Okay, is it eighty
- 4:45Speaker 2: three pitches? Is he going too hard to begin with?
- 4:49Speaker 2: Or or is it possible that this is the new era.
- 4:56Speaker 2: We're gonna talk about this with Lou Tormaelo. Who could
- 4:59Speaker 2: be that next three guy? Could it be school, could
- 5:02Speaker 2: it be a Misrawski? Could it be a schemes or
- 5:06Speaker 2: are they all being baby too much? I mean, that's
- 5:11Speaker 2: my question today because eighty three, uh what was it?
- 5:31Speaker 2: Misowski had eighty three pitches fifty nine for strikes. Bors
- 5:40Speaker 2: needed by the way, one two, three, four, five six
- 5:42Speaker 2: more pictures after that, uh six pictures total, five more
- 5:48Speaker 2: after Misrawski got his eleventh win. By the way, as
- 5:52Speaker 2: at one point five eight e R She's talk about
- 5:55Speaker 2: the aos young guy. Definitely Cam Schlitzler's there and elsa
- 5:59Speaker 2: young It's gotta be him, right, It's gotta be the minutes.
- 6:04Speaker 2: But five innings of work? Does this mean to achieve
- 6:08Speaker 2: three thousand strikeouts in the era of today? Does that
- 6:14Speaker 2: mean these guys like schoobl Skiens and Schlitler and Misowski
- 6:21Speaker 2: all have to go and blow their arm out in
- 6:25Speaker 2: the first warnings to get those kind of numbers of
- 6:28Speaker 2: twelve strikeouts eleven strikeouts? I mean, what did I say yesterday?
- 6:32Speaker 2: Schlitzler had a very nice game against uh, well, that
- 6:44Speaker 2: was Friday already against the Phillies. I mean, look at
- 6:50Speaker 2: his numbers. Slitler, if you look at his numbers from
- 6:53Speaker 2: Friday night, pretty damn remarkable too. Twelve strikeouts in seven
- 7:00Speaker 2: a third, and so are we at a time where
- 7:09Speaker 2: if the coaches are going to baby these kids, are
- 7:12Speaker 2: we at a time where these guys have to really
- 7:14Speaker 2: execute in the first four innings or five innings and
- 7:17Speaker 2: hope they don't blow up their ar? Is that what
- 7:19Speaker 2: has to happened? I started scraaking up one hundred and
- 7:22Speaker 2: four today, miss Rowski, one hundred and four. Well, I
- 7:27Speaker 2: don't want to keep talking about this anymore. I want
- 7:29Speaker 2: to louse terminal to react on this and so much more.
- 7:32Speaker 2: But volts, think about this. Five innings, twelve strikeouts. Let
- 7:47Speaker 2: me make sure I got that total right for you
- 7:49Speaker 2: before I hand it off to Luke, because I want
- 7:51Speaker 2: to get this right. Yeah, twelve k's in five innings.
- 8:00Speaker 2: So it's putting the full cortpress on in those first
- 8:03Speaker 2: five innings before you even factor in the decision of
- 8:06Speaker 2: the wind. Is that what has to happen now for
- 8:09Speaker 2: these new kids on the block or new kids on
- 8:13Speaker 2: the hill right to get there to three thousand kids,
- 8:19Speaker 2: Because if it is, I'm scared, I'm scared of these
- 8:21Speaker 2: kids are gonna blow out their arms in very early
- 8:24Speaker 2: innings for no reason. And it's become a thing where
- 8:31Speaker 2: one hundred miles an hour is attractive to any scout,
- 8:36Speaker 2: to any GM, to any manager. But at what cost
- 8:44Speaker 2: does a Misrowski throwing one hundred four now have in
- 8:47Speaker 2: October have down the road in his career? And will
- 8:54Speaker 2: those kind of numbers that we pause on early and
- 8:58Speaker 2: those kind of pitt reating you know, miles an hour reading,
- 9:02Speaker 2: does that mean he'll blow out his arm faster than
- 9:07Speaker 2: he should be because that's what they're preaching in throw
- 9:11Speaker 2: fast gun it in there. That's what the scouts love,
- 9:15Speaker 2: that's what the GM loves, that's what the manager loves.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Or should we teach finests a little bit more to
- 9:25Speaker 2: preserve these guys arms as they get older and become
- 9:30Speaker 2: the next Kershaws, the next Sers, the next I don't
- 9:36Speaker 2: know who you want to put in their ccs, the
- 9:38Speaker 2: next Petits, you know, even the next Mike Hampton, right,
- 9:42Speaker 2: he did an incredible job with the Mets. All these
- 9:48Speaker 2: guys were coming up in the MLB need to be
- 9:54Speaker 2: taught finests, so not just do it in five innings,
- 9:58Speaker 2: but do what uh uh ceased yesterday in Boston. It
- 10:09Speaker 2: was an incredible performance for him and Toronto. But I
- 10:14Speaker 2: digress let's go to Liu Terminello, who's got thoughts on Lebron.
- 10:19Speaker 2: He's got thoughts on the free agency craze, and it
- 10:24Speaker 2: is a craze. And we even talked a little bit
- 10:30Speaker 2: about the Hall of Fame as today Beltran, Carlos Beltran
- 10:35Speaker 2: representing the Mets, Jeff Kent, I believe it was a
- 10:38Speaker 2: Giants and then Andrew Jones. Obviously the brain go into
- 10:44Speaker 2: the Hall today as Cooperstown, as they wrote, Cooperstown opens
- 10:50Speaker 2: its doors. But let's get into it right now with
- 10:54Speaker 2: one Lewis Terminillo on Terminillo's take for the week July
- 11:04Speaker 2: twenty first, always good to have you on one plag
- 11:11Speaker 2: up with Alex Spirit and wow.
- 11:14Speaker 1: What a day to day was a Blex Media.
- 11:17Speaker 2: We had fran Zach Andnelly, the former GM of the
- 11:20Speaker 2: Dallas Mavericks on it. I want to bring on after
- 11:23Speaker 2: so you could react because you get a chance. A
- 11:25Speaker 2: listener watched it.
- 11:26Speaker 1: What bring you got to talk with to us today
- 11:28Speaker 1: about with leron sometimes?
- 11:30Speaker 4: Yeah, Alex all, thanks for having me as always, but
- 11:34Speaker 4: I did I've listened to some clips, but I didn't
- 11:36Speaker 4: listen to the whole thing.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I just it's been a little bit of a busy
- 11:39Speaker 1: day for me too.
- 11:40Speaker 4: But when I heard very first of all, a very
- 11:44Speaker 4: good interview. As always with you, you always hit.
- 11:47Speaker 1: The right points. He was very very interesting.
- 11:49Speaker 4: He's a guy who're diversified a resume.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Which makes him a.
- 11:55Speaker 4: True easy listen so I'll have to listen to the
- 11:59Speaker 4: whole thing from start to finish again. But well, yeah,
- 12:02Speaker 4: today was a busy day, my friend. That we did
- 12:05Speaker 4: not anticipate.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Today was the day that Lebron was gonna make his decision.
- 12:11Speaker 4: But he did, and to me, the Sixers a lot
- 12:17Speaker 4: of people are surprised.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I'm not really surprised, but that would not have been
- 12:24Speaker 1: if I had If I was a betting man, that
- 12:26Speaker 1: would not.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Have been my h choice. I thought it was gonna
- 12:31Speaker 4: be the Cavaliders. I really thought it was gonna be
- 12:32Speaker 4: the heat for the Cavaliaders. But going to the Sixers,
- 12:36Speaker 4: and let's face it, Alex Lebron, even though he's forty
- 12:40Speaker 4: one years old, he's in incredible physical condition. He could
- 12:43Speaker 4: still play. May not be the best player in the
- 12:47Speaker 4: league anymore, but it's gonna be interesting to see how
- 12:51Speaker 4: the Sixers incorporate and develop chemistry with a lot of
- 12:56Speaker 4: the same guys. And I'm not saying that Jalen Brown
- 12:59Speaker 4: and Hiron, Maxie at Young vj uh Newcomb, MISSISSI the
- 13:08Speaker 4: Uh they're going to drive right away. But it's very
- 13:14Speaker 4: int it's a very interesting, uh situation for sure.
- 13:19Speaker 1: You know the one you know one thing.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Well, I'm just glad it wasn't a TV special that
- 13:26Speaker 2: this happened. I'm glad it just happened the way I
- 13:28Speaker 2: think because I couldn't sit through another hour special le
- 13:31Speaker 2: where Lebron was going you know.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Yeah, No, I mean, let's face it, it's a it's
- 13:41Speaker 4: an interesting situation because Maxie Brown, Lebron well how to
- 13:50Speaker 4: pass the basketball.
- 13:52Speaker 1: They're smart players. Edgecomb's a smart player. Uh yeah, a
- 13:58Speaker 1: very good year.
- 14:00Speaker 4: Uh, it's gonna be interesting to see how healthy and
- 14:02Speaker 4: we's not we know he's not healthy, but how healthy
- 14:06Speaker 4: Joel and be. It's gonna be h to get them.
- 14:10Speaker 4: How many games are gonna play? Hopefully for them they
- 14:12Speaker 4: play more than thirty six. They won forty five games
- 14:16Speaker 4: last year, but they really weren't a good team. Is
- 14:19Speaker 4: the East a little bit better than it was last year? Today?
- 14:22Speaker 1: I would say so? I mean, I mean, uh, the Celtics.
- 14:27Speaker 4: I do not think and prove themselves so far, unless
- 14:29Speaker 4: unless they have something cooking. I don't know, but they're
- 14:32Speaker 4: not as good as they were last year. You know
- 14:35Speaker 4: that they traded you know a guy who was an
- 14:40Speaker 4: MVP candidate for Paul George.
- 14:44Speaker 1: So I think that Sixers have passed them.
- 14:48Speaker 4: But again we have to we have to see the chemistry.
- 14:50Speaker 4: We have to see how it works, and maybe it
- 14:52Speaker 4: won't work. Maybe maybe it won't work, and maybe Lebrono
- 14:57Speaker 4: at this time thinks you will be retired, but it definitely.
- 15:01Speaker 4: I could tell you one thing, Adam Silvera who was
- 15:03Speaker 4: winning to announce the schedule.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Uh, to see uh where lebron was gonna end up.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I could tell you one thing.
- 15:13Speaker 4: It's gonna be Sixers Knicks either on batter Night, Ring
- 15:20Speaker 4: Night on NBC that Tuesday night whenever Opening Night is
- 15:25Speaker 4: that Tuesday night, probably the third Tuesday in October, or
- 15:28Speaker 4: it's gonna be Philly, Philly and.
- 15:30Speaker 1: The Knicks on Christmas Day market.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Then I would be shocked if if Philly Knicks aren't
- 15:39Speaker 4: on one of.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Those two days.
- 15:40Speaker 4: The first meeting, I really that that would surprise, that
- 15:46Speaker 4: would be believe that it was.
- 15:47Speaker 2: The next Phillies, uh nixt six or sorry on Christmas Day,
- 15:51Speaker 2: that would be something else, but it could be opening.
- 15:54Speaker 1: We'll have to see. But you know, I just.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Think this team is so much better now than they
- 15:58Speaker 2: have a lot more potential than and then coming into
- 16:01Speaker 2: twenty five twenty six, Uh, the question is gonna be
- 16:05Speaker 2: I guess every saying well and be me healthy, and
- 16:08Speaker 2: you know, I think he is the key to this.
- 16:11Speaker 1: But there's got the other reasons why.
- 16:13Speaker 2: The Nicks were able to sweep the Sixers beyond at
- 16:16Speaker 2: B right, I mean, there's some other flaws that they've
- 16:18Speaker 2: had beyond just that.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Yeah, thinks for a better team, even.
- 16:27Speaker 2: They can't expect to fix the system with him from
- 16:30Speaker 2: day one.
- 16:31Speaker 1: That's gonna have to grow into that, I mean.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Yes, and that's gonna be interesting to see if they
- 16:35Speaker 4: if the chemistry develops between those four guys.
- 16:38Speaker 1: The one thing I do, like I said about the
- 16:39Speaker 1: six is all their.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Guys could uh can pass the basketball and they can
- 16:44Speaker 4: handle the basketball, which makes it tougher for defensive teams
- 16:50Speaker 4: and teams don't like to you know, teams get tired
- 16:52Speaker 4: when uh, when there's a lot of ball movement, even
- 16:55Speaker 4: though in the NBA, it's not like it used to be, uh,
- 16:57Speaker 4: because guys just come down.
- 16:59Speaker 1: And gun through.
- 17:00Speaker 4: But this could be a little bit different with the
- 17:02Speaker 4: six Ers, so they'll be interesting to watch.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Obviously, the Knicks are the defending champs.
- 17:08Speaker 4: They're still the favorite going into the season, deservingly so
- 17:13Speaker 4: they earned it by winning the championship last year.
- 17:17Speaker 1: But there it got a little it got a little
- 17:21Speaker 1: bit different.
- 17:22Speaker 4: But again, the Celtics aren't as good is Detroit as
- 17:25Speaker 4: good as they were last year. They think they needed
- 17:28Speaker 4: a second guy. They haven't gone a second guy. As
- 17:31Speaker 4: much as I'm not a huge Tobias Harris fan, they
- 17:33Speaker 4: don't have him anymore. So you know, we'll have to
- 17:39Speaker 4: see how for you know, the first two once in
- 17:42Speaker 4: the season, and how all these teams mesh or not mesh,
- 17:46Speaker 4: even though we know.
- 17:47Speaker 1: The NDIA regular season is very problematic.
- 17:52Speaker 4: I mean, I know the Widgets at improved themselves. They
- 17:55Speaker 4: have numb one draft pick, they have Davis, they have
- 18:00Speaker 4: Trey Young. Whether they were they gonna be a playing team,
- 18:04Speaker 4: are they going to be in the top six the
- 18:07Speaker 4: walk he's done? Uh, you know there they might be
- 18:10Speaker 4: a at.
- 18:12Speaker 1: This stage a playing team with the heat.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Yes they have Giannis, uh, but they don't have enough
- 18:21Speaker 4: around them. So again that's we're gonna have to see
- 18:26Speaker 4: what happens the rest of this offseason.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Uh, how teams improved themselves.
- 18:32Speaker 4: But yes, the Lebron news was a little bit surprising,
- 18:38Speaker 4: a little bit surprising today. Well, and he's brought.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Ground shaking with that for sure, because.
- 18:47Speaker 2: We didn't really know when it was gonna happen, Like
- 18:48Speaker 2: there was a whole bunch of stuff about that.
- 18:50Speaker 1: But I digress that that is the bit that's the
- 18:53Speaker 1: big name is.
- 18:53Speaker 2: But also I brought you on because obviously obviously New York,
- 19:00Speaker 2: New Jersey had you know, an intriguing.
- 19:03Speaker 1: End of the World Cup. I think the first half
- 19:05Speaker 1: was boring.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I didn't think there was much going on, but then
- 19:10Speaker 2: you know, when he gets exciting, Louise.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Went literally no one scored, but during.
- 19:13Speaker 2: That ninety fifth minute, anything can happen. That's when the
- 19:16Speaker 2: excitement really built.
- 19:17Speaker 4: They felt, well, you are correct, the first half was
- 19:20Speaker 4: boring of the championship game and really belied what had
- 19:24Speaker 4: been an exciting quality of play throughout the five week tournament.
- 19:30Speaker 4: But Spain is a disciplined team. They used the basketball
- 19:36Speaker 4: term phrase.
- 19:37Speaker 1: They've walked the ball up the court. They never deviate
- 19:42Speaker 1: from their ball control system. They never get really caught
- 19:45Speaker 1: out of position defensively.
- 19:48Speaker 4: And yes, the final was underwhelming after this grade five
- 19:55Speaker 4: week run.
- 19:56Speaker 1: The last twenty minutes of regulation went.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Spain was peppering the Argentina net and Martinez was doing
- 20:07Speaker 4: a spectacular job of making one brilliant saving.
- 20:10Speaker 1: He said, World Cup Finals record for most says in
- 20:13Speaker 1: the game. That was interesting.
- 20:15Speaker 4: The the extra time excuse me, not overtime, the extra time,
- 20:20Speaker 4: uh was interesting. But again Argentina threw a no hitter
- 20:23Speaker 4: out of alex I mean, excuse me, Argentina got no
- 20:28Speaker 4: hit Spain. Uh.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Spain totally overwhelmed them.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Both for Argentina, Is that correct, I'm sorry?
- 20:36Speaker 2: No, no shots on both for argall shots on goal
- 20:39Speaker 2: for Argentina.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Those shots on goal, that's got rare. Yeah, yeah, now
- 20:44Speaker 4: that that is rare.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I mean they were out shot twenty to zero.
- 20:49Speaker 4: They they did what the same thing that they did
- 20:52Speaker 4: in the semi finals. Spain did within Bobby. They took
- 20:55Speaker 4: him Bobby out of the game, and they took a
- 20:57Speaker 4: Messi out of the game. And of course Messi's MVP.
- 21:00Speaker 1: And they gave it to to Roady.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Aka Rodrigo, who played for the four time champion in
- 21:06Speaker 4: Leicester's Manchester City in the EPL and might be uh
- 21:12Speaker 4: might be transferred in a big money deal.
- 21:15Speaker 1: To Real Madrid.
- 21:16Speaker 4: By the way, this is the first time the Spanish
- 21:19Speaker 4: national team had no players who played for Real Madrid,
- 21:26Speaker 4: first time ever, which I think was pretty.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Interesting because Real Madrid is they're like.
- 21:31Speaker 4: You know, like the Yankees were the Canadians of Jua
- 21:34Speaker 4: Liga and uh. But overall, it was a tremendous tournament.
- 21:43Speaker 4: You know, thirty nine million watched on Fox, another twenty
- 21:48Speaker 4: three watched on Telemundo in the United States, so they
- 21:51Speaker 4: had about you had about sixty sixty one million people
- 21:54Speaker 4: watching that game. It was the largest language English language
- 21:59Speaker 4: was telecan Ever, they gotta be happy.
- 22:02Speaker 1: They made millions uh in in these last five weeks.
- 22:06Speaker 1: So uh, it was I enjoyed something real fast.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Because I'm looking at ny CFC because you know, they're
- 22:15Speaker 2: actually gonna be.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Coming back to play tomorrow and Matt.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Breeze is making his big return back from Team USA tomorrow.
- 22:26Speaker 1: But I see they're in the league. He's a cup
- 22:28Speaker 1: do you know what that is.
- 22:30Speaker 4: It's one of these one of these tournaments that I
- 22:33Speaker 4: guess that they have in in the Uh, it's probably
- 22:39Speaker 4: it's a tournament that regardless of what league level you
- 22:43Speaker 4: play in, it's that type of tournament, very much like
- 22:48Speaker 4: say the English s A Cup.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 22:51Speaker 4: I'm not a big MLS and US Soccer leaks guy,
- 22:56Speaker 4: I know the United.
- 22:57Speaker 2: States Soccer League is like the Division two live right
- 23:02Speaker 2: on a Thursday night. That's pretty good.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Actually, that's not a bad deal.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I think the new stadium is going to
- 23:09Speaker 4: be ready for next year.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Yeah, they're playing miss and Harrison. Actually yeah, well they their.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Home field has the last couple of years between they've
- 23:20Speaker 4: played a couple of games at City Field, some at
- 23:23Speaker 4: Red Bull Arena, uh, some at Yankee Stadium. So it'll
- 23:27Speaker 4: be good for them when they get that.
- 23:30Speaker 1: That stadium opening. Uh, I guess it.
- 23:33Speaker 4: I guess it's gonna be for twenty seven, So I
- 23:35Speaker 4: guess it will be next year on the site where
- 23:39Speaker 4: the Islanders Arena was almost.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Built, which would have been great for the Islanders.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Uh.
- 23:45Speaker 4: You know, Uh, next to Belmont Park is in bed,
- 23:49Speaker 4: but I think next to City Field would have been
- 23:51Speaker 4: a little bit easy for.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Everybody to get to. But that's neither hit nor there.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Uh yeah, so that you know, we'll we'll see.
- 24:00Speaker 4: But there's too many tournaments in soccer, too many domestic.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Tournaments, international tournaments. Not the World Cup. It's once every
- 24:06Speaker 1: four years.
- 24:07Speaker 4: But I mean in in uh England alone, you have
- 24:10Speaker 4: the f A Cup.
- 24:11Speaker 1: You have you have an Elite Cup in uh in
- 24:16Speaker 1: uh in England.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Uh, plus you gotta play in the Champions League, and
- 24:21Speaker 4: then they have the Europa League.
- 24:22Speaker 1: And it's just too much.
- 24:24Speaker 4: These guys are playing way too much. They're playing way
- 24:27Speaker 4: too many games. I mean, it's a it's a year round,
- 24:31Speaker 4: it's a year round situation.
- 24:32Speaker 1: For these players. I don't know how to physically do
- 24:34Speaker 1: with Alex. I really do not.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Well, Louis, I gotta say, Uh, it does get intrigue
- 24:41Speaker 2: when you get to see the strategy play out, but
- 24:44Speaker 2: I don't know. I just thought it was it was
- 24:46Speaker 2: a little boring, the just strategy on the first half. Anyway,
- 24:50Speaker 2: I want to go to now, uh the other rest game?
- 24:53Speaker 2: You say in the main guys, because I'm thinking this
- 24:56Speaker 2: could be in some world oh world Series brief you.
- 25:01Speaker 2: I mean, we've had it again. We added a seventh
- 25:03Speaker 2: in the nine. But believe me, I believe Louis the
- 25:10Speaker 2: Phillies could do something in the playoffs and can get
- 25:12Speaker 2: to the World Series.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I feel that, well, of course they could.
- 25:16Speaker 4: I mean I would say that after the Dodgers, they're
- 25:19Speaker 4: the second best.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Team in the National League.
- 25:23Speaker 4: And uh, even though they're from behind the Braves right now,
- 25:27Speaker 4: and the Braves are right up there.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Also, I like this. I like the Phillies starting pitching,
- 25:32Speaker 1: I really do. And uh, the Yankee.
- 25:36Speaker 4: I mean, the only thing is Phillies road to play
- 25:38Speaker 4: the Yankees in October.
- 25:40Speaker 1: It's gonna be.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Tougher than the Yankees road to play the Phillies or
- 25:43Speaker 4: whoever the Dashing.
- 25:44Speaker 2: League champions gonna be because the Phillies have the Braves
- 25:47Speaker 2: to contend with, they'll have the Dodgers.
- 25:50Speaker 4: And don't forget the Brewers. I know that the Brewers
- 25:53Speaker 4: always flopped.
- 25:54Speaker 1: And the Cardinals.
- 25:55Speaker 2: I think the Cardinals are back, so I wouldn't say
- 25:58Speaker 2: they're back, But I have the Covey.
- 26:01Speaker 1: He's probably gonna be up the area. Yeah, and the
- 26:03Speaker 1: Company's gonna be up there.
- 26:04Speaker 4: And a lot's gonna happen in the next ten days
- 26:08Speaker 4: with with the with the trade deadline, Who who makes
- 26:15Speaker 4: the difference making.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Trade to get them over the top, like says for this.
- 26:20Speaker 2: In twenty fifteen for the Mets, well, you know it
- 26:22Speaker 2: doesn't matter for I guess playoff perpose. But come on, Louis,
- 26:27Speaker 2: you have to be happy to see the Mets winning
- 26:29Speaker 2: a little bit and doing actually a little better than
- 26:32Speaker 2: people thought.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Uh, you know, I have Alex. This Met season is
- 26:36Speaker 1: a disaster. The only thing that you can hang your
- 26:39Speaker 1: hat on is that.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Okay, And as you know, I'm not a Lewis Roberts fan,
- 26:44Speaker 4: but he's hit three home runs.
- 26:46Speaker 1: And he's come back. He missed seventy three games.
- 26:49Speaker 4: I don't care whether I like him if I don't
- 26:51Speaker 4: think he's a great player that hurts the minutes. You
- 26:54Speaker 4: can't have Lin Door missing fifty seven games, you know,
- 26:57Speaker 4: breaking his risks, you know, in February, and then and
- 27:00Speaker 4: coming back five weeks later from the surgery, then fourteen
- 27:04Speaker 4: games into the season getting hurt at mission fifty seven games,
- 27:08Speaker 4: Clay Holmes getting breaking his leg on May fifteenth, he
- 27:11Speaker 4: hit been their best picture. All that stuff adds up,
- 27:16Speaker 4: but the Med season has been a lost year.
- 27:19Speaker 1: This has been a disaster year. And let's face that.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Let's let's look at let's look look at them situation.
- 27:28Speaker 4: They don't have a second basement. Do they have a
- 27:30Speaker 4: second basement in the minor leagues? I don't think so
- 27:32Speaker 4: at this point. Somebody who's ready to come in. They
- 27:37Speaker 4: need to rebuild their starting pitching tiff. It looks like
- 27:40Speaker 4: they might have something with you know, with with with
- 27:44Speaker 4: McLean Thornton.
- 27:48Speaker 1: And with Kristin Scott. Looks like these three guys, but
- 27:51Speaker 1: they need they need a horse to anchor that staff.
- 27:55Speaker 4: And they have no first base. Oh that's right, their
- 27:59Speaker 4: first base thirty the American League and Leader League in rbish.
- 28:04Speaker 4: But we're not gonna beat that horse again with Peter
- 28:07Speaker 4: Alonzo and the lack of.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Offer that the Mets gave him.
- 28:11Speaker 4: But it's it's it's ridiculous, But the Mets have I
- 28:16Speaker 4: think the Mets.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Have a lot of issues moving forward. Yes, impressive with
- 28:23Speaker 1: a j.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Ewing, very impressive rookie, could be Rookie of the Year.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Impressive with Carson Benge and with the three starters that
- 28:31Speaker 4: I just talked about, three young starters.
- 28:33Speaker 1: But overall this has.
- 28:34Speaker 4: Been a disaster for that and as I said in
- 28:37Speaker 4: the past, they've got to take advantage of these prime
- 28:41Speaker 4: years of Juan Soto and these teams. These teams are
- 28:47Speaker 4: not getting beat White by Wan so he's walking a lot.
- 28:50Speaker 4: He's you know, he's personal League on base percentage second
- 28:53Speaker 4: and you know in ops.
- 28:56Speaker 1: But you know, they need to put.
- 28:59Speaker 4: Better players around as he's approaching his he's twenty twenty seven.
- 29:04Speaker 1: From twenty seven to thirty two, those is gonna be
- 29:06Speaker 1: his prime years. They've got to take advantage other and
- 29:09Speaker 1: Sterns did the bad job. But yes, the injuries did
- 29:12Speaker 1: play a part, no doubt about it. They did. But Alex,
- 29:18Speaker 1: I know sometimes you can plain about Aaron Boone about Cashman. No,
- 29:26Speaker 1: never really Cashman. I like what Casman does.
- 29:28Speaker 2: I'm more concerned about Boone being the spokesperson. But you know,
- 29:32Speaker 2: what to happen twelve games over as a miracle right now?
- 29:36Speaker 1: It really really is. No, it isn't. No, it isn't.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Alex Gleeks thinks.
- 29:43Speaker 2: I know.
- 29:45Speaker 1: I mean, you know, do I think the Actors is
- 29:47Speaker 1: gonna get the World Series? As I said last week,
- 29:50Speaker 1: I think they're gonna get the World Series even if
- 29:52Speaker 1: Judge doesn't come back. I think they get to the
- 29:56Speaker 1: World Series even if Judge comes back.
- 29:58Speaker 4: They have not good starting pitcher, they have great starting
- 30:01Speaker 4: pitching and now they got free back.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Uh.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Cam is a stud, He's he's not technically a rookie.
- 30:12Speaker 4: I don't think he probably is season yeah, but again,
- 30:17Speaker 4: you know how many evenings you pitch.
- 30:18Speaker 1: But he's the best first year player at that pitcher
- 30:22Speaker 1: in the league. I mean, they got it.
- 30:25Speaker 4: They have cold and there will Will Warren is a
- 30:28Speaker 4: great back back.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Of the rotation.
- 30:30Speaker 4: Guy weathers is is. I mean, what was Miami doing
- 30:35Speaker 4: trading Weather's not that that he's a top starter, but
- 30:38Speaker 4: he's a very utral starter.
- 30:41Speaker 1: The Yankees' pitching is great. The Yankees pitching is going
- 30:43Speaker 1: to get them through.
- 30:44Speaker 4: Through the World Series unless something happened that the trade
- 30:48Speaker 4: deadline that's going to change the balance of power.
- 30:51Speaker 1: You merit.
- 30:51Speaker 4: But the fact that the Yankees are over twelve game
- 30:53Speaker 4: to five hundred, that's they should That's.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Where they should be. You know, that's why they should be. Uh,
- 31:03Speaker 2: why do you want to see the Angs move? Some
- 31:04Speaker 2: guys around will have to see you.
- 31:06Speaker 1: So, so what do you think is gonna happen? You?
- 31:09Speaker 1: What do you think you see somebody that they'll trade.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Do you think this? Look, I still say this.
- 31:17Speaker 2: The Spencer Jones experiment has not worked as well as
- 31:20Speaker 2: I thought. Maybe they push him out to uh to
- 31:23Speaker 2: a team to get like that Ryan Jefferson catcher or
- 31:27Speaker 2: I always want to I really I got Choka, I
- 31:30Speaker 2: really like him, or hired one thing?
- 31:32Speaker 1: When they get Secrett gotcha Joka? That would be a lot.
- 31:35Speaker 1: But you don't know. Didn't a good a team find
- 31:38Speaker 1: both be desirable? Maybe? Maybe? Yes, I think so. I
- 31:43Speaker 1: think I think you will find a team that might
- 31:44Speaker 1: find Bob. Uh you're like, and I don't think they
- 31:48Speaker 1: might move them the second base? Do they offload them
- 31:51Speaker 1: the door off the Met's no, right, they're not upploding
- 31:54Speaker 1: to the door. That would be dumb. Well, I mean,
- 31:56Speaker 1: that's that's news talk. That's that's that's not good. First
- 32:00Speaker 1: of all, Lindor has a ten five uh clause.
- 32:05Speaker 4: You know he's been he's been lead ten years and
- 32:07Speaker 4: he's been with the Mets five years, So we can
- 32:10Speaker 4: uh uh nullify any any trade.
- 32:13Speaker 1: I don't that's I don't think that's gonna happen at all.
- 32:16Speaker 4: I could see the Mets moving Robert and that's why
- 32:20Speaker 4: he him coming back and hitting some home runs.
- 32:25Speaker 1: I think it's important.
- 32:27Speaker 4: I could see them on you know, unloading Parolta, who's
- 32:30Speaker 4: been terrible. And I don't know how much you're gonna
- 32:33Speaker 4: get for Parola. I hate to say this, but they might.
- 32:38Speaker 4: They might, And I wouldn't do it by keep hearing
- 32:40Speaker 4: that because he has an expert year on his deal,
- 32:44Speaker 4: uh that they might have put uh Looke Weaver up
- 32:49Speaker 4: uh you know for trade, and he's definitely if they
- 32:53Speaker 4: put him up for trade, he's definitely getting trade because
- 32:56Speaker 4: he's had a spectacular year. But again, why would the
- 32:59Speaker 4: Mets do that. They got to bounce back next year.
- 33:02Speaker 4: They got to bounce back next year. They can't, they
- 33:04Speaker 4: can't have this happened two years in a row. And
- 33:07Speaker 4: Alex remember you know that day from last year, June thirteenth. Yeah,
- 33:12Speaker 4: what's the Mets record since June thirteenth of last year?
- 33:15Speaker 4: If the probably won the three worst in a Major
- 33:17Speaker 4: League since that time.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Let me ask you this because you're a sales guy
- 33:22Speaker 2: needed the sales world, and there's talk grating with the Nets,
- 33:27Speaker 2: but you're a GM trying to do a fire sale
- 33:30Speaker 2: of a terrible team.
- 33:31Speaker 1: How do you sell Hey, take our guy, he's still good, Like,
- 33:34Speaker 1: how do you do that? Is it impossible for you
- 33:37Speaker 1: to do that? Or is he well this is I'll
- 33:39Speaker 1: give you an example. Let's look at Lewis Robert.
- 33:43Speaker 4: I guess I think he's owed twenty million or something
- 33:47Speaker 4: like that. The Mets will say, Okay, give us a
- 33:52Speaker 4: give us a little bit better prospect, and we'll eat
- 33:55Speaker 4: more of the money if you give us a better
- 33:58Speaker 4: prospect that we want.
- 34:00Speaker 1: That's how it goes along those lines.
- 34:05Speaker 4: Really need more of the money. You have Robert, and
- 34:08Speaker 4: we have John Smith. Your your second, your best second
- 34:13Speaker 4: based prospect in double A.
- 34:17Speaker 1: You know. That's how they.
- 34:18Speaker 4: Work out trades like that when you when you're dealing from.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Weakness and it's like a deal swe you they have
- 34:27Speaker 2: to do to try and get yeah, absolutely, you know.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Or uh you want X y Z player, give us
- 34:38Speaker 4: a low prospect, just take take.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Him off our hand, but you have to take all
- 34:43Speaker 1: of his money.
- 34:44Speaker 4: We don't give you anything, uh, you know, for on
- 34:48Speaker 4: the rest of his contract. That's how That's how it
- 34:50Speaker 4: basically works nowadays with these with these big money contracts,
- 34:57Speaker 4: you know, stuff like that.
- 34:58Speaker 1: And now you can even trade draft picks.
- 34:59Speaker 4: First time ever doing, which started a couple of years
- 35:02Speaker 4: ago Rember baseball was the only sport where you couldn't
- 35:04Speaker 4: trade draft but.
- 35:06Speaker 1: That you can. Mm hmm, well there you go.
- 35:09Speaker 2: So it'll be, uh, it'll be an interesting deadline. I
- 35:13Speaker 2: think you're gonna see a lot of guys on the move.
- 35:15Speaker 2: I think the White Sox can still make a move
- 35:17Speaker 2: to make themselves even better.
- 35:18Speaker 1: I mean, I think so. I think you're right.
- 35:22Speaker 2: You get to that happening, and you know, it's about
- 35:27Speaker 2: like any general manager a salesperson perspective, because the average
- 35:31Speaker 2: fans not in the room.
- 35:32Speaker 1: You know, we're not at the room of these deals happened.
- 35:33Speaker 1: But well it's.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Always vaccinating on the trade and the dead light day
- 35:37Speaker 2: play every name later, you know, the negotiations are really
- 35:42Speaker 2: up to the wire, sometimes.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Without of down. Look at ferland Er a couple of
- 35:48Speaker 1: years ago.
- 35:49Speaker 4: When uh Houston got him, I was at six seven
- 35:53Speaker 4: years ago. Houston got them a minute before the twelve
- 35:56Speaker 4: o'clock deadline from Detroit. That's how That's how far it went,
- 36:01Speaker 4: how long it went before Houston got Amand.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Obviously it worked out for Houston.
- 36:07Speaker 4: That he helped them win to a World Series. They
- 36:09Speaker 4: went to a couple of others and he won a
- 36:12Speaker 4: sim Award for him And obviously now he's gonna retire
- 36:17Speaker 4: at the end of this year.
- 36:18Speaker 1: But that that's how these things go.
- 36:23Speaker 4: Look a look when the Mets got says for this,
- 36:25Speaker 4: Remember they made a trade for Carlos Gomez first with Milwaukee. Yeah, uh,
- 36:33Speaker 4: for Wilma Flores Gometz fails are physical.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Two days later, three days later the Bets make the trade.
- 36:40Speaker 4: Assessed with this like at three fifty eight of the
- 36:43Speaker 4: deadline that they was four pm.
- 36:46Speaker 1: And well and that this and that's someone gets the
- 36:51Speaker 1: World Series. The walk up by Wilmer heeled them as
- 36:54Speaker 1: well as that trade. I mean, there's no doubt about
- 36:57Speaker 1: I remember that name. It was about seeing, but also
- 37:01Speaker 1: that that's men's world. Things like that. Just that to happen. Well, Louis,
- 37:05Speaker 1: it's gonna be a.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Very interesting deadline and uh gosh, I feel like there's
- 37:10Speaker 2: so much we can talk to.
- 37:11Speaker 1: I want to go back to.
- 37:12Speaker 2: The map though, because I'm curious since we had frank
- 37:15Speaker 2: on earlier, but they were banking about today.
- 37:18Speaker 1: That if Cleveland.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Included Kyrie in a deal or something, that Lebron would
- 37:23Speaker 2: go back to Cleveland to two years something like that.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I did not the only thing I did not hear that.
- 37:30Speaker 4: But I did hear one thing that seems to have
- 37:33Speaker 4: some legs to it that if the Knicks did not.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Peter Spurs or get to the final well got lost
- 37:41Speaker 1: in this well lost in the conference final.
- 37:44Speaker 4: That the Lebron would have gone to the Knicks this year.
- 37:49Speaker 1: What do you think that I did? What do you
- 37:52Speaker 1: think he saw that?
- 37:52Speaker 2: He said, well, the fixers have a great chance of
- 37:56Speaker 2: winning a championship.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I don't see that yet. I don't know what he
- 37:58Speaker 1: sees that. Legos No, I agree with you.
- 38:01Speaker 4: I don't.
- 38:01Speaker 1: I don't see that.
- 38:02Speaker 4: And I I really don't think that there's any team
- 38:05Speaker 4: in the East.
- 38:06Speaker 1: With the exception of the Knicks, because they are the
- 38:09Speaker 1: defending champs.
- 38:09Speaker 4: You have to you have to defer to them as
- 38:13Speaker 4: defending champs in the East.
- 38:15Speaker 5: I don't see anybody outside of the Knicks that has,
- 38:21Speaker 5: you know, with a definite championship possibility at this time,
- 38:27Speaker 5: because again we don't know.
- 38:28Speaker 4: We don't know how ns is going to uh to
- 38:31Speaker 4: fit in with the heat, We don't know how all
- 38:34Speaker 4: these new players with Jellen Brown and and Lebron.
- 38:41Speaker 1: It's gonna are gonna it's gonna fit in with the Sixers.
- 38:44Speaker 4: We don't know what Detroit is gonna look like they
- 38:47Speaker 4: you know, we don't know what the Celtic's gonna look
- 38:50Speaker 4: like with with really a broken down Paul George, a
- 38:54Speaker 4: thirty six year old Pool George making fifty four million
- 38:57Speaker 4: dollars either and the six or he's got a better
- 39:00Speaker 4: player even at the age of forty one in Lebron
- 39:03Speaker 4: for eight million, you know, so it will be Interestments
- 39:10Speaker 4: are probably doing a sire relief right now.
- 39:11Speaker 1: That didn't stay in the West.
- 39:13Speaker 2: I'm sure they're kind of relieved about that. So well, Louis,
- 39:18Speaker 2: we'll have to see. I'm watching some updates on the
- 39:22Speaker 2: MLB and I'm seeing the Marlins are doing well. Look,
- 39:25Speaker 2: they're gonna be some fun teams to watch it. But
- 39:27Speaker 2: I just gotta shout out Philadelphia, what a run they've had.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Okay, they had that.
- 39:32Speaker 2: They they see Rob Thompson get fired for Don Manley
- 39:36Speaker 2: and this tear they're on since Manley took over, then
- 39:39Speaker 2: America two fifty, then the All Star Game.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Now Lebron.
- 39:43Speaker 2: I mean, Philly might be a hot city again, and
- 39:46Speaker 2: you can't destroy the Eagles. They're still pretty good again.
- 39:50Speaker 2: They had that stats where of Rocky up there.
- 39:53Speaker 1: And remember we talked about talking about ending droughts.
- 39:57Speaker 4: The Sixers are on a forty three year drown since
- 40:00Speaker 4: that great team in eighty three with Doctor J and
- 40:03Speaker 4: Moses Malone and Andrew Tony and Bobby Jones.
- 40:07Speaker 1: No cheeks swept the Lakers in the final. And I'm
- 40:10Speaker 1: sure you saw it.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Doctor J was involved in the MLB production of the
- 40:14Speaker 2: All Star Game back in back in earlier in the months.
- 40:17Speaker 1: So well he you know, uh, he should have been
- 40:21Speaker 1: mister Net. He should have, but he is mister he
- 40:24Speaker 1: is mister Philadelphia.
- 40:26Speaker 2: However, his name Doctor J isn't the Rafters. I mean
- 40:29Speaker 2: I saw it with the nets retired, right or something
- 40:32Speaker 2: like that.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Yes it is. His number was retired in nineteen.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Here's the gay history with you in as an executive.
- 40:44Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like you might have seen another
- 40:46Speaker 2: crazy uh free agency moves and expectations, but I don't
- 40:52Speaker 2: think it blew up as much as Lebron has every
- 40:54Speaker 2: time he's a creation. I mean, have you ever seen
- 40:57Speaker 2: it before where a guy where eyes were glued to work.
- 41:00Speaker 2: One guy goes, I've never it doesn't feel like it
- 41:03Speaker 2: has has that magnitude from Lebron.
- 41:06Speaker 1: It really hasn't.
- 41:07Speaker 4: And you know, especially, you know, especially the NBA gets
- 41:13Speaker 4: a lot of tension and the Lebron gets a lot
- 41:17Speaker 4: of detention.
- 41:17Speaker 1: It's arguably the second and third. I'm not saying he's
- 41:21Speaker 1: the best.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Because Jordan's the best, arguably the second best player of
- 41:26Speaker 4: all time.
- 41:27Speaker 1: But he's a remarkable player. And also obviously he's the.
- 41:32Speaker 4: First athlete who who's a billionaire twenty twenty two, who
- 41:37Speaker 4: became a billionaire.
- 41:39Speaker 1: So the brand is different. Promoting his brand is different
- 41:45Speaker 1: than say, when Jordan played thirty years ago, right, you know,
- 41:49Speaker 1: things are different that way. Lebron is an athlete, a
- 41:54Speaker 1: great basketball player.
- 41:57Speaker 4: He's also a celebrity like Tom Brady's a celebrity.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Yes, all these guys were.
- 42:04Speaker 4: Jordan was a celebrity, but it's it's magnified now because
- 42:08Speaker 4: of social media, because of streaming documentaries. You know, I mean,
- 42:16Speaker 4: wasn't didn't Stephen Carry wasn't he an executive for some games? Yeah?
- 42:20Speaker 1: That was on ABC? What do you think of it?
- 42:22Speaker 2: And I gotta mention this because obviously I was a
- 42:24Speaker 2: Fanatics Games participant, and a lot's happened about a lot's
- 42:31Speaker 2: happened since I competed a week ago.
- 42:34Speaker 1: I mean, Justin.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Bieber unexpectedly jumps in the Fanatics Games and wins.
- 42:39Speaker 1: I mean, this is a non athlete winning the games.
- 42:42Speaker 2: I don't know how close you followed it, but uh,
- 42:44Speaker 2: it actually had some drama to it because Brady did
- 42:46Speaker 2: not win and he finished third, which is so rare
- 42:50Speaker 2: for that guy.
- 42:50Speaker 1: It was so interesting to followed all that.
- 42:52Speaker 4: But yeah, no, I wasn't following that, but uh yeah,
- 42:58Speaker 4: I guess, uh.
- 42:59Speaker 1: He's entertaining two pats on that the likability.
- 43:03Speaker 2: I mean, for we were coming on that unexpected opening
- 43:06Speaker 2: Saturday and just wipe the floors. It's almost one for
- 43:10Speaker 2: the record books in the second year of Fanatic Games,
- 43:12Speaker 2: and I gotta say, I'm very hon with that. I
- 43:14Speaker 2: got to participate it, very thankful.
- 43:16Speaker 1: I mean it was to be one of your lou
- 43:19Speaker 1: it means a lot, sure, absolutely, And.
- 43:23Speaker 4: He got on a local TV on Channel two with
- 43:26Speaker 4: with uh a long time weather ban for CBS channel Tom.
- 43:30Speaker 1: John Elliott, you did a good job there. So it
- 43:33Speaker 1: was a busy. It was a very busy weekend and that.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Was my first real sports thing about it since since then.
- 43:39Speaker 2: So I just want to share my thanks and fanatics
- 43:41Speaker 2: and always Louis, thank you for your support as we
- 43:45Speaker 2: continue these endeavors. I don't know where it's going to
- 43:46Speaker 2: lead to you next, but oh hey, Alex, Alex, Alex,
- 43:50Speaker 2: I had to.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Tell you this before, man, And do you realize that
- 43:53Speaker 1: it was three It was three years ago.
- 43:55Speaker 4: I believe yesterday on It will be tomorrow, the twenty
- 43:59Speaker 4: fifth of July.
- 44:00Speaker 1: We did our first We'll be starting on fourth year
- 44:06Speaker 1: after tomorrow.
- 44:06Speaker 4: I think we did our first one the day that
- 44:10Speaker 4: Gil Hodges was.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
- 44:13Speaker 4: I believe it was July twenty fifth, in twenty twenty three.
- 44:18Speaker 2: I mean that was something special because I called you
- 44:21Speaker 2: the day Hodges was going into the Hall of Fame
- 44:23Speaker 2: and and you were very excited to do it. We
- 44:26Speaker 2: went for an hour talking about that team gil Hodge himself.
- 44:32Speaker 1: I mean, wow, Well but we we literally prepared, no notes.
- 44:36Speaker 1: It was just us, no, we just we just we
- 44:39Speaker 1: we winged it.
- 44:40Speaker 4: If you called me up five minutes later, Amazon, and
- 44:42Speaker 4: we've been doing it ever since.
- 44:43Speaker 1: And I really want to make sure that.
- 44:45Speaker 2: We get another Met goes into the Hall as a Met.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Carlos Beltron, I don't know what.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Your thoughts are. I know you feel like tent is
- 44:54Speaker 1: the guy that deserves.
- 44:55Speaker 2: The most, but I think all three have their own
- 44:58Speaker 2: reasons why they should be in.
- 44:59Speaker 1: And Louis, I don't know the generation.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Before me felt that way of like most of this
- 45:07Speaker 2: guy being I don't know if you felt that with
- 45:08Speaker 2: other guys over the years, but he did.
- 45:12Speaker 1: But yeah, it always was that way. It was so
- 45:16Speaker 1: that's this is nothing new. It was always that like, oh,
- 45:19Speaker 1: how could this guy be in? How could this guy
- 45:20Speaker 1: not be in?
- 45:23Speaker 4: You know, I saw some listenings Jason start to the
- 45:27Speaker 4: story in the Athletic and some potential future.
- 45:33Speaker 1: Hall of Famers, and I just.
- 45:35Speaker 4: Scratched my head on some of them. They shouldn't even
- 45:37Speaker 4: be on the list and so hall of Famers. But again,
- 45:41Speaker 4: their their careers aren't over. Obviously, Judges is going to
- 45:44Speaker 4: be a Hall of Famer. Trout's going to be a
- 45:47Speaker 4: Hall of Famer. You know, Freddy Freeman's going to be
- 45:51Speaker 4: a Hall of Famer. Just at the top of my head,
- 45:54Speaker 4: you know that all those guys are well into their thirties.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Judge, I guess it's gonna be thirty five next year.
- 46:00Speaker 4: Year.
- 46:00Speaker 1: So you know, we still think of Aaron Judges, the
- 46:02Speaker 1: guy who came up and uh ten years of service. Yeah,
- 46:08Speaker 1: that's unbelievable, that really is. But no, don't worry about
- 46:13Speaker 1: your Yankee. They're gonna be in.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Good short because like for me, it's like, wow, how
- 46:17Speaker 2: can you doubt uh, how can you doubt any.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Of those greats? I mean, one would say, I mean,
- 46:25Speaker 1: you know, I get the guy who made.
- 46:26Speaker 2: It bones in the postseason was Kirby Puckett. I mean,
- 46:29Speaker 2: I feel he must be worth it. But maybe he
- 46:32Speaker 2: was a guy you guys debated about back then.
- 46:33Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 46:34Speaker 4: I'm just thinking, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, But that's
- 46:37Speaker 4: a very that's very a very good example. Yes he
- 46:40Speaker 4: was debated. Yes, how about Pewey Reaves, No debate there.
- 46:45Speaker 1: I mean that guy was well, yeah, no debate there.
- 46:50Speaker 1: For the most part.
- 46:52Speaker 4: You know, they they were great defensive short stops with
- 46:55Speaker 4: smaller gloves, and you know they made if you look
- 46:59Speaker 4: at the number of errors they made per.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Year, you would say, Howard the sky in the Hall
- 47:03Speaker 1: of Fame.
- 47:04Speaker 2: But you're gonna have to make controversial the whole idea.
- 47:09Speaker 2: You have to make these controversial decisions to keep the
- 47:12Speaker 2: hall going because if you stop letting people in just because,
- 47:17Speaker 2: you know whatever.
- 47:18Speaker 1: It stops the hall of momentum.
- 47:19Speaker 2: I feel like the controversy has to be there because
- 47:22Speaker 2: that's how the hall continues the year after.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Controversy.
- 47:27Speaker 4: UH brings a lot of banter, a lot of talk,
- 47:30Speaker 4: whether it's on talk radio, whether it's in print media,
- 47:34Speaker 4: whether it's guys like you and me talking like we're
- 47:36Speaker 4: doing right now, Like there, why.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Not met to?
- 47:39Speaker 1: I always thought met two he had quite a career that.
- 47:42Speaker 4: Could have been Hall of Fame for he's not Hall
- 47:45Speaker 4: of Fame worthy. And each Row is one of the
- 47:48Speaker 4: greatest players all the.
- 47:49Speaker 1: Time of all time.
- 47:51Speaker 2: But I feel like they also been former in his
- 47:53Speaker 2: Japanese stats as well into that.
- 47:55Speaker 4: No, like he had three thousand hits in the major
- 47:57Speaker 4: league and he comes to the major leagues to what
- 47:59Speaker 4: like twenty seven Yeah, you know, and if you incorporate
- 48:04Speaker 4: the Japanese stats.
- 48:05Speaker 1: He has more hits than Pete Rose or he's right
- 48:07Speaker 1: around there.
- 48:08Speaker 4: But I mean each Row, first of all, if it
- 48:13Speaker 4: listened to Bobby Valentine. That's Bobby Valentine, who new Japanese
- 48:17Speaker 4: baseball inside out, said, hey, guys, sky.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Ichiro can really help us. But you know he went,
- 48:26Speaker 1: he went to Seattle and are there.
- 48:29Speaker 2: They're not a lot of pictures going in yearly now.
- 48:31Speaker 2: I feel like they're focusing on the.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Anders and and all that. Well, pictures in the future.
- 48:37Speaker 4: It's gonna be interesting how they handle pictures in the
- 48:39Speaker 4: future as far as all of.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Fame, because you know these pictures now.
- 48:43Speaker 4: Go five and five and the third the last. Once
- 48:49Speaker 4: Verlander and Chures are going on the first ballot and
- 48:52Speaker 4: Kershaw and and Kershaw, they're gonna be the last of
- 48:57Speaker 4: like the old time pictures.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Now, you know all these other guys, you know, they
- 49:04Speaker 1: barely hit eighty five pitches.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Yeah, they barely hit eighty five pitches a game.
- 49:10Speaker 1: And you know, I saw.
- 49:12Speaker 4: Something when the Yamamoto threw that that complete game against
- 49:17Speaker 4: the Yankees on Sunday.
- 49:19Speaker 1: That was the first time somebody threw.
- 49:20Speaker 4: A complete game against the Yankees since two thousand and three.
- 49:25Speaker 2: And then wasn't there guy that was taking out of
- 49:27Speaker 2: didn't manly take out a guy that was doing the
- 49:28Speaker 2: perfect gamers up that went no live, there's just yeah, no,
- 49:32Speaker 2: I mean it's it's just different.
- 49:35Speaker 4: And then you know, on the Met game the other day,
- 49:38Speaker 4: somehow I don't know why Walter Johnson. Then we talked
- 49:41Speaker 4: about Walter Johnson and I know it was a different era,
- 49:43Speaker 4: but Walter Johnson.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Threw five hundred and eighty four complete games in history,
- 49:47Speaker 1: five hundred and eighty four.
- 49:49Speaker 2: As Spittler fanned the first seven, first seven of the
- 49:53Speaker 2: first thirteen, and phillies he based tonight, So he is
- 49:56Speaker 2: gonna be I saw a young CAGs for sure.
- 49:59Speaker 1: Look, I'm gonna right now.
- 50:00Speaker 4: I would say he's the leading candidate for s young
- 50:02Speaker 4: in the American League.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Him Sunny Gray with Sunny grade twelve and one. How
- 50:07Speaker 1: about that right? Something great?
- 50:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no, that's that's that's true. I was actually
- 50:13Speaker 2: there when Roger Clemons surpassed Walter Johnson on the strikeout
- 50:17Speaker 2: less back in two thousand and one Opening Day, two thousand.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Two thousand and one, and like, I don't know, that
- 50:25Speaker 1: has so much meaning.
- 50:26Speaker 2: And I feel like after curse, you're not gonna see
- 50:29Speaker 2: those list climbers as much anymore.
- 50:31Speaker 4: You're not gonna see those list climbers. That's a great,
- 50:34Speaker 4: great term. You're right, because I'm not gonna let him.
- 50:37Speaker 1: And what happened to both games? He's got really off year.
- 50:40Speaker 1: I mean, I just but I'm very odd here for right.
- 50:42Speaker 1: I mean, he's been, he's been, he's been fine. He's
- 50:46Speaker 1: been fine.
- 50:46Speaker 2: You know what.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Uh again, they they don't stretch him out, but he's done,
- 50:55Speaker 1: he's done his job.
- 50:57Speaker 2: I like the I think the Pirates have still like
- 50:59Speaker 2: a chance get the playoffs anyway, I feel like I do.
- 51:02Speaker 2: I agree, I think they've got a good chance. But
- 51:05Speaker 2: uh yeah, no, it's gonna be interesting. And of course
- 51:08Speaker 2: Andrew Jones his defensive prowess. He had a good hitting too,
- 51:13Speaker 2: but his defense, that's what's getting him in the Hall.
- 51:16Speaker 1: I mean, and he.
- 51:18Speaker 4: Combined that and he hit over four hundred home runs.
- 51:20Speaker 4: I did never I never thought him of him as
- 51:23Speaker 4: a Hall of Famer, but that's me. Uh, next year,
- 51:26Speaker 4: Jason Stark said that that Utley's gonna get in, And
- 51:31Speaker 4: I never thought of Ugly as a Hall of Famer.
- 51:36Speaker 4: I wouldn't votely, but looks like he's gonna get in
- 51:40Speaker 4: next year.
- 51:42Speaker 1: So and I'm sure a.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Lot of met BENSI up there just to boom because
- 51:46Speaker 2: of what he did in that playoff game.
- 51:48Speaker 1: But that and one last guy, I mean again, you
- 51:54Speaker 1: put him on Opening.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Night on Netflix to be part of that broadcast as
- 51:59Speaker 2: a former Giant and put fairy Bunds in the Hall
- 52:01Speaker 2: of Bay.
- 52:02Speaker 1: I really don't care anymore.
- 52:04Speaker 2: All these guys that you claim were so bad the
- 52:06Speaker 2: sport of the steroids are now probably a rod for
- 52:09Speaker 2: God's sakes, is on Fox Sports every week.
- 52:12Speaker 1: I mean, give these guys a chance. Now, it's just ridiculous,
- 52:18Speaker 1: it is. I mean it's a it's a good uh
- 52:22Speaker 1: you got you make you make a very good point.
- 52:27Speaker 1: And for help, I mean he had to take off
- 52:30Speaker 1: that year, he had to explain himself or whatever it was.
- 52:32Speaker 1: It was just it was a mess. When now they
- 52:35Speaker 1: came down.
- 52:36Speaker 2: But he's got he's got relevance. Uh on Fox Fire'll
- 52:42Speaker 2: be a Fox.
- 52:42Speaker 4: So you know, Alex, nobody even remembers she was suspended.
- 52:47Speaker 4: That's how well he built. He built the Alex Rodriguez brand.
- 52:51Speaker 4: Nobody remembers that he suspended. I believe me, we do
- 52:55Speaker 4: me and you do. But you do know how many
- 52:56Speaker 4: people you would have to remind people, even baseball fans,
- 52:59Speaker 4: remember you got to spend it a year because a
- 53:04Speaker 4: performance of dancing drugs.
- 53:06Speaker 1: I bet you.
- 53:06Speaker 4: I think eighty percent of the people you say, oh,
- 53:10Speaker 4: that's right, I forgot a little about it. That's how
- 53:13Speaker 4: well he did to rebebuild his brand, the Alex Rodriguez brand.
- 53:18Speaker 2: So, Louis, it's just, yeah, put some of these guys
- 53:21Speaker 2: in the hall. I'm sorry, he just you gotta start
- 53:24Speaker 2: doing it for the integrity. I know it sounds weird,
- 53:27Speaker 2: but there's something.
- 53:29Speaker 1: About the integrity. That's where I disagree with you. Those
- 53:31Speaker 1: guys violate the integrity.
- 53:34Speaker 2: They did, and that's probably why they'll never get in.
- 53:37Speaker 2: But the integrity of the spoil on the hall now
- 53:41Speaker 2: that they welcome back in.
- 53:42Speaker 1: I don't know. I just well, and is it hypocritical?
- 53:46Speaker 1: You're right. Look at the late Pete Rose. The late
- 53:49Speaker 1: Pete Rose.
- 53:51Speaker 4: They he's not the Hall of Fame, but a lot
- 53:54Speaker 4: of his artifacts are when he had the forty four
- 53:56Speaker 4: game hitting streak and and some other Pete Rose memorabilia
- 54:01Speaker 4: in the Hall of Fame.
- 54:04Speaker 1: So you baseball can't have it both ways. You're right
- 54:10Speaker 1: as far as that goes. I guess they can't stop
- 54:15Speaker 1: Netflix from hiring.
- 54:19Speaker 4: Barry Bonds to be on the panel because remember, oh,
- 54:24Speaker 4: Mark maguire was the hitting coach, yeah for the margin
- 54:29Speaker 4: for two teams, the Marlins and I think the Cardinals
- 54:31Speaker 4: the team he played for. So there is a there
- 54:35Speaker 4: is a little bit of a weirdness, you know, Hpop
- 54:39Speaker 4: just welcome back to Chicago. A couple of years ago
- 54:42Speaker 4: or a year ago.
- 54:43Speaker 2: They had that whole return for Sammy Sosa, So I mean,
- 54:46Speaker 2: you know, these guys are so brown.
- 54:49Speaker 4: So but again, let's face it, Sammy Sosa hit sixty
- 54:55Speaker 4: home runs.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Uh three times.
- 55:00Speaker 2: Now Bryce, Bryce probably may not win a ring, I
- 55:04Speaker 2: don't know yet, but is the Olivamer like he got one?
- 55:07Speaker 1: Absolutely?
- 55:08Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, he's a Hall of Famer, two time MVP,
- 55:12Speaker 4: Rookie of the Year, right, he was Rookie of the Year.
- 55:15Speaker 1: And Swarber has a chance to I mean that guy
- 55:18Speaker 1: sure has a chance.
- 55:20Speaker 4: We see what he got, like about another one hundred
- 55:23Speaker 4: and twenty five, one hundred and thirty.
- 55:24Speaker 2: And even though you're doing now, the fact that Toto
- 55:27Speaker 2: has the World Series to his belt could make him
- 55:30Speaker 2: a Hall of Paper down the road.
- 55:31Speaker 4: Well, he's twenty seven years old, and when he's when
- 55:34Speaker 4: he's done, unless he gets injured, his stats are going
- 55:38Speaker 4: to be off the charts.
- 55:41Speaker 1: You know, he finished third the last two years with
- 55:44Speaker 1: the Yankees, he finished third, uh in MVP voting and remember, uh.
- 55:52Speaker 4: Two years ago, Yeah, Judge went back one two years
- 55:55Speaker 4: ago and morning last year correct, yep, so in Keaston
- 55:59Speaker 4: he finished they're splitting that vote with another teammate.
- 56:03Speaker 1: That that's tough. And last year we started in the
- 56:06Speaker 1: National League in MVP voting. So he's on right now.
- 56:09Speaker 4: He's on the path to the Hall of Fame unless
- 56:11Speaker 4: something terrible happens to them.
- 56:14Speaker 1: He was he did win the World Series. Williams nineteen
- 56:16Speaker 1: years old, Uh, school was on his way too. He
- 56:19Speaker 1: talked about pictures. He talked, just do something down the
- 56:22Speaker 1: road too.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Well again, how many games are you gonna win? What's
- 56:27Speaker 4: gonna be the benchmark for pictures to get in? Is
- 56:31Speaker 4: it gonna be if you win one hundred and twenty
- 56:33Speaker 4: five games because pictures don't go as long in the
- 56:38Speaker 4: games and have a chance.
- 56:39Speaker 1: To get decisions. So, uh, yeah, it's gonna be interesting
- 56:44Speaker 1: as we move one went forward to the next. Du
- 56:47Speaker 1: So I have the terminal stakes.
- 56:48Speaker 2: Because he'd gone way long. But that's fine. He'll be
- 56:52Speaker 2: joining this conversation a lot.
- 56:53Speaker 1: I could keep going.
- 56:55Speaker 2: Uh, I gotta ask you about fifteen game win streak
- 56:59Speaker 2: for Boston. I did first time since nineteen forty eight.
- 57:02Speaker 2: I believe I rad or something yah, since forty six.
- 57:04Speaker 4: When it pended forty six and they lost to the
- 57:07Speaker 4: Cardinals in seven games.
- 57:09Speaker 2: But that fifteen game win stream, I mean, the Yankees
- 57:12Speaker 2: getting thwut by them open the door for them one
- 57:14Speaker 2: hundred percent.
- 57:15Speaker 1: I'm convinced of that. You're Alex, You're convinced of it,
- 57:19Speaker 1: and you are correct that that's when they turned their
- 57:21Speaker 1: mindset right. And then you have to do management.
- 57:24Speaker 2: I mean a lot of things changed, and uh, you know,
- 57:28Speaker 2: now they're back in it, and we'll have to we'll
- 57:31Speaker 2: have to see as much as I think it's I mean, look,
- 57:34Speaker 2: I'll shout out his any day. I like that we
- 57:37Speaker 2: saw some history in fifteen games. Not many teams get
- 57:40Speaker 2: to that point anyway, let alone take gameboards streak anymore.
- 57:44Speaker 1: But they they're playing very well. They have very good pitching.
- 57:51Speaker 4: They're playing Roman Anthony supposed to be back at the
- 57:55Speaker 4: end of August.
- 57:57Speaker 1: They had a boom rist. They have all the guys injured,
- 58:01Speaker 1: and they won.
- 58:02Speaker 4: The fact that they wable to win fifteen games, pretty
- 58:06Speaker 4: that's pretty impressive.
- 58:07Speaker 2: And for our hockey fans out there, I gotta tell you, oh,
- 58:10Speaker 2: he got a really good uh reception at Fanag's best
- 58:14Speaker 2: lines across the Hall for him to get an autograph
- 58:18Speaker 2: or photograph with him.
- 58:19Speaker 1: So happy to see that.
- 58:21Speaker 2: But thirty years ago this week, the great One came
- 58:24Speaker 2: to New York, and I'm sure you know all about
- 58:26Speaker 2: that coming to New York with Messi a thirty years
- 58:30Speaker 2: ago this week, Lily.
- 58:32Speaker 6: Time flies, time flies, to be sure, and you know
- 58:36Speaker 6: he wasn't the goal scorer that he was earlier in
- 58:39Speaker 6: his career wings with the Rangers, but he was still the.
- 58:42Speaker 1: Best passer in the game. He's still found.
- 58:45Speaker 2: Guys and make sure they got the.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Ring with both them on the same team, right, It's
- 58:50Speaker 1: very interesting. Well, what are you talking about hockey? Patrick
- 58:56Speaker 1: Kane signing a two year deal.
- 58:57Speaker 4: Yesterday to go to finish his career with the Blackhawks.
- 59:02Speaker 4: I think is significant to be playing with Connor Reguard and.
- 59:06Speaker 1: You know, obviously Black black Hawks now right, Yeah, But
- 59:12Speaker 1: Patrick Kane, he's a lot for the Hall of Fame.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Obviously he was rookie of the year. He was m
- 59:17Speaker 1: VPS leading leading goal scorer, I mean the leading points.
- 59:21Speaker 4: Scory won the yard Rose Trophy, he won a con
- 59:24Speaker 4: smythe Trophy.
- 59:25Speaker 1: As MVP in the playoffs, he won three Stanley Cups.
- 59:30Speaker 4: And him finishing his career and he can still play
- 59:34Speaker 4: for the Blackhawks is gonna make it. I think that's
- 59:37Speaker 4: a positive for the black Hawks absolutely, and for and for.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Bdard so well. Louis has always loved this conversation. We're
- 59:46Speaker 2: gonna post this up over the weekend and almost into August.
- 59:52Speaker 2: I can't believe it, but enjoy Induction weekend, Enjoy Yates, Phillies,
- 59:57Speaker 2: Enjoy you know, even the Mets Dodgers. I know it's
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: a tough one this weekend, but hey, it's baseball and
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: we're almost in the dark days of.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Summer, and I feel like the summer's.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: Got slowed absolutely, and baseball is a great sport to watch.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Obviously, you look at it differently. There's no pressure. You
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: watch a Nets game, you don't have to worry about
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: them when they or losing. That's really not gonna affect
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: it either way. And Alex, thank you for the last
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: three years and looking forward to continuing this. I appreciate
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: everything you do.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Terminello's take year four. Baby, here we go, thanks for
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: joining me up. Will look at Alex beat you all right? Well,
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: I'm very appreciative of lou Terminello and Will the mizz
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Will schemes. Will mister Schooble beat a list climber if
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: they only go five to six innings a start, only
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: time will tell. I think the arms just gotta get
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: fired up and keep throwing, and do it with finesse,
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: and do it with finesse. Look, I know today was
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: a DA DA thirty six and we've done a lot
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: of coverage on it over the years, but maybe this
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: week we'll do some adaptive conversation as well.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: For you.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: You're at the one leg a ballex media platform. So
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: much going on, so much to keep up with, and
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: we're doing it all right here at one leg of
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Ballex media. I want to thank my mom my, stepdad
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Vic helping me through this transition to get to an
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: iPhone seventeen pro. It's about time doing the twelve pro
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: for a while.
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: Now.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: I got the ice iPhone. Some Team pro Max got
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: a few complications with it, but we'll get that figured out,
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: but I want to thank them for their patients and
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: for their love and their support as we work into
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: this new era of technology. And I didn't hang out
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: with a familiar face on eighty a day. Then we'll
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: talk about that later in the week. But the point is,
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: just like a fanatics, best to live out our different abilities.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: That to me is what ADA Day is always going
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: to be about. Could be year thirty five, thirty six,
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: could be year forty, But to live out life as
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: a differently able person and represent the community that way
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: is the best way to honor eighty eight Day. And
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: that's my message at one Leg of Alex meaning have
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: a great beginning to the final week of July.
