- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with I our radio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey everyone, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast. It is
- 0:11Speaker 2: fourth of July weekend, but Ben and I had to
- 0:13Speaker 2: of course be here to recap the episode. No, don't, Ben,
- 0:20Speaker 2: We're good at that little pat on the shoulder for ourselves.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Well, I guess when it's week two of the bacheloret season,
- 0:29Speaker 3: it's our time to step up. So we're gonna show
- 0:31Speaker 3: up and step up, just like the guys did this week.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Okay, they step up. I don't know. I'm like, I
- 0:40Speaker 2: went from feeling so great about the season to just being, oh, no,
- 0:43Speaker 2: I'm bored. I watched with a friend last night, though. Yeah,
- 0:48Speaker 2: my friend Lizzie's over for the weekend and she hasn't
- 0:50Speaker 2: watched in seasons, so I said, like, probably right regularly,
- 0:54Speaker 2: it's been like three years since she watched, and she's like, oh, well,
- 0:56Speaker 2: when I watch it, I can get into it. It
- 0:58Speaker 2: was fun. She enjoyed it, but she enjoyed it way
- 1:01Speaker 2: more than I did. Maybe it's because she's watching with
- 1:03Speaker 2: fresh eyes. Yeah, but maybe I her her commentary was
- 1:08Speaker 2: the best part of the show for me. Making fun
- 1:11Speaker 2: of the guys.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Well, it's before we dive into the recap this week,
- 1:15Speaker 3: let's talk about your plans for the holidays. Do you
- 1:17Speaker 3: have any big plans.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Big plans. I have my sister coming tomorrow, So it's
- 1:24Speaker 2: my best friend and my sister coming, and we're just
- 1:25Speaker 2: gonna do really girly fun things in Rhode Island, like
- 1:28Speaker 2: just have cocktails on different beaches basically, just like go
- 1:33Speaker 2: in a different little scenic restaurants and have lady talk,
- 1:39Speaker 2: you know, and then we're and then we'll be going
- 1:42Speaker 2: over to Jared's parents house for a barbecue. We're gonna
- 1:46Speaker 2: take Dawson to fireworks last year he was six months
- 1:49Speaker 2: and go over the best of course I'm gonna buy him.
- 1:52Speaker 2: This is a reminder to me to go on Amazon
- 1:53Speaker 2: and see if I can like get those head sets
- 1:57Speaker 2: that you put over baby's ears to block the scar sounds.
- 2:01Speaker 2: And then yeah, we're going to go to this place
- 2:06Speaker 2: called Ocean House, which is one of my very favorite
- 2:09Speaker 2: places in Rhode Island. Take everybody who visits there. It's
- 2:13Speaker 2: right next to Taylor Swift's house. I'm not like revealing anything,
- 2:17Speaker 2: like her house is very well known to be right
- 2:19Speaker 2: next to this place, and she used to be. She
- 2:24Speaker 2: used to hold her fourth July party every year and
- 2:26Speaker 2: it would always make tabloids. Right, I feel like she
- 2:31Speaker 2: might bring it back this year because she's single. She's
- 2:36Speaker 2: she's like really feeling her like friend group or her
- 2:39Speaker 2: girl group self. I don't know, so like we might
- 2:42Speaker 2: be able to see Taylor have a party.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Is that in your head? Is that in your mind
- 2:46Speaker 3: right now?
- 2:47Speaker 2: It is? It's like kind of embarrassing because if I
- 2:51Speaker 2: see them like all partying behind this big fence that
- 2:53Speaker 2: she has, Like, what am I gonna do? Oh my god,
- 2:55Speaker 2: there's Taylor just gog at her Like no, I'm like,
- 2:57Speaker 2: I want to get in there. Hi, Taylor's you watch
- 3:00Speaker 2: The Bachelor?
- 3:03Speaker 3: I hope you do. I hope there's tabloids of that.
- 3:07Speaker 3: That's gonna be a good time. Well, actually we do
- 3:10Speaker 3: have a week two to break down. We have both
- 3:13Speaker 3: now seen the episode. We have our criticisms and judgments
- 3:18Speaker 3: and thoughts on this episode. It kicks off with kind
- 3:24Speaker 3: of everybody sitting in the mansion, and in so far, Ashley,
- 3:30Speaker 3: I feel like this group of guys, there's a few
- 3:34Speaker 3: standout guys going into week two. Obviously, Braden is one
- 3:37Speaker 3: of those. Aaron B Is one of those Joey kind
- 3:40Speaker 3: of made a good first impression on week one, but
- 3:42Speaker 3: Aaron B is the one that gets the first date.
- 3:47Speaker 3: I think the first date of the season is one
- 3:52Speaker 3: of the most spectacular dates to have. And this is
- 3:57Speaker 3: why because nobody has any expectations, like, she's not great
- 4:02Speaker 3: at this point, he's not great at this yet they're
- 4:06Speaker 3: literally this is like, oh my, let's get this thing started.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Let's go. And so they're both kind of very much
- 4:12Speaker 3: in it together. She's not like seasoned in the dating
- 4:15Speaker 3: and the asking of questions. Yeah, isn't like jealous yet
- 4:19Speaker 3: because he hasn't heard about the dates you know before him.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I think it's such a big deal, and this was
- 4:26Speaker 3: a good date. It didn't have a lot of like
- 4:29Speaker 3: dating spark. Right there, it's the Hollywood Sign.
- 4:32Speaker 2: That's we see you didn't think that was cool, Lucy,
- 4:35Speaker 2: And I thought that was so cool.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Really, I thought it was cool. Like I thought it
- 4:39Speaker 3: was fine.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I think the car ride is like that whatever, Yeah,
- 4:42Speaker 2: driving up to the Hollywood Sign, I'm like, this is it.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Come on, guys, we can do this any day of
- 4:47Speaker 2: the week if you're in LA. But then when they
- 4:50Speaker 2: got to open the fence and stand up against it.
- 4:53Speaker 2: That was really cool. That's coveted. I don't think that
- 4:56Speaker 2: that access is very easy even for the production company
- 4:58Speaker 2: to get, or maybe I'm super wrong. But then I
- 5:00Speaker 2: was looking at their height and I was like, holy crap,
- 5:03Speaker 2: those things are so high.
- 5:06Speaker 3: So big. It is cool. It is I mean, I
- 5:08Speaker 3: guess you can hike to it, you can see it,
- 5:11Speaker 3: but the stand up against it to be like in
- 5:13Speaker 3: that so in that iconic spot and that the whole
- 5:16Speaker 3: world recognizes and nose is a special date.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I would think I was like in Friends with Benefits
- 5:22Speaker 2: with Mila Kunos and Justine, like one of my favorite
- 5:24Speaker 2: rom coms. They do that, but it's like kind of
- 5:27Speaker 2: a chaotic scene because you know, he gets caught. I
- 5:31Speaker 2: would just be like, oh, I guess I live relive
- 5:34Speaker 2: one of my chick flicks. I'd like that for that reason.
- 5:36Speaker 2: But of course that doesn't come up.
- 5:39Speaker 3: The day goes well. In my opinion, it's fine. It's
- 5:42Speaker 3: a good first date. It's a good opening date. I
- 5:45Speaker 3: wouldn't say that their chemistry blew me off. Okay, same, now,
- 5:50Speaker 3: the show tried though, yeah, right, the show.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Tried feeling it I'm feeling it. They kept they were
- 5:58Speaker 2: like she kept saying things that were supposed to make
- 6:02Speaker 2: us think that you was really feeling it. Like verbally
- 6:04Speaker 2: they were all really feeling it, but like I didn't
- 6:08Speaker 2: feel it.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Yeah, but I think it was it maybe is to come.
- 6:12Speaker 3: There's a lot of nerves on that first date. Now
- 6:14Speaker 3: there's a lot of just excitement, nerves and anticipation, and
- 6:21Speaker 3: you kind of I mean, at least for me, I
- 6:23Speaker 3: remember that first date. You kind of just want to
- 6:24Speaker 3: get it over with, meaning not that you're like sick
- 6:27Speaker 3: of the date or you don't want to be around
- 6:28Speaker 3: the person. You just want to go back to your
- 6:30Speaker 3: For me, go back to my hotel room and be like, Okay,
- 6:31Speaker 3: I did it. I'm in it now, I've done It
- 6:33Speaker 3: was your first date? Uh yeah, I had an ice
- 6:36Speaker 3: cube and Kevin Hart and a hot tub in LA.
- 6:43Speaker 2: That's right. I didn't know that was your first That
- 6:45Speaker 2: was your first date.
- 6:47Speaker 3: It's the first day. Yeah.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Talk about nerves, Yeah, I talk about not being able
- 6:52Speaker 2: to focus on the other person. Yeah, you were all
- 6:55Speaker 2: about the celebrities.
- 6:56Speaker 3: It was intense, and then amos Lee came in and
- 6:59Speaker 3: my favorite artists. Yeah night, So laurna Lena played on
- 7:03Speaker 3: this date. I still feel very strong and the aaronb
- 7:07Speaker 3: is going to be here a while. I would not
- 7:08Speaker 3: be shocked if he's the one standing up there at
- 7:10Speaker 3: the end. I think they really she was only going
- 7:12Speaker 3: to get closer and grow up. I think again, it
- 7:14Speaker 3: was a first date, and I think as this episode
- 7:16Speaker 3: even progresses, you see Charity loosening up a little bit
- 7:21Speaker 3: in these dates, like having more fun with it, you know,
- 7:24Speaker 3: expressing herself more. She's very excited, you can see on
- 7:30Speaker 3: this first date because she comes to tears, and I
- 7:32Speaker 3: think that's a big deal. I think Charity had I
- 7:34Speaker 3: think and I'm assuming here just on based on her
- 7:36Speaker 3: behavior so far. I think Charity was really worried about
- 7:40Speaker 3: being the bachelorette and that guys would not be into
- 7:43Speaker 3: her for some reason. I don't understand why, but that's
- 7:45Speaker 3: an insecurity of hers because she's really into the guys
- 7:48Speaker 3: that you know that they're into.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Her, yeah, and they're like, I came because of you,
- 7:56Speaker 2: and I was so lit up when I heard that
- 7:58Speaker 2: it was you. Yeah, So that means a lot. Sure
- 8:01Speaker 2: face just shines when they say that.
- 8:04Speaker 3: So I think that's I think that's going to be
- 8:06Speaker 3: very attractive to her at the beginning, And I think
- 8:09Speaker 3: a lot of these guys are there for her, which
- 8:11Speaker 3: makes sense. But I do think she had that something,
- 8:14Speaker 3: somebody said something to her at some point, or something
- 8:17Speaker 3: was living inside of her head where she was nervous
- 8:19Speaker 3: about who would be there for her and who would
- 8:21Speaker 3: be there not for her. And I think that's why
- 8:23Speaker 3: this whole spring Break storyline, through the whole episode, like
- 8:26Speaker 3: hits her so hard and makes her so upset and confused,
- 8:32Speaker 3: and so there's a lot of read there's a lot
- 8:36Speaker 3: to read into this day. But she comes to tears
- 8:38Speaker 3: I think just out of like, I think there's at
- 8:40Speaker 3: least one guy here very much for me, and I
- 8:41Speaker 3: think that's this guy that's with me on this date.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I definitely think he's tough.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Four.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I mean, I usually think that the person who has
- 8:47Speaker 2: the first date usually gets all right. So back at
- 8:52Speaker 2: the mention, Oh, I guess is there anything about their
- 8:55Speaker 2: dinner conversation that's worth mentioning?
- 8:59Speaker 3: Oh?
- 8:59Speaker 2: Yeah, there is, Yes, there is. Okay, I want to
- 9:02Speaker 2: know over on the same page about this. Maybe I
- 9:04Speaker 2: was a total dickhead in interpreting this, but he was
- 9:08Speaker 2: in a four year relationship in college and then realized
- 9:11Speaker 2: that he needed to go to therapy for the way
- 9:14Speaker 2: that he is in relationships because he's not an active
- 9:17Speaker 2: listener and like he wasn't a good communicator. Why did
- 9:21Speaker 2: that set off a little bit of a red flag
- 9:23Speaker 2: for me?
- 9:25Speaker 3: Well, I think probably.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Not that therapy sets off red flags, Okay, not at all,
- 9:31Speaker 2: but the fact that like by nature he's not like
- 9:35Speaker 2: he doesn't want to listen or talk it makes me worried.
- 9:40Speaker 3: I think I actually see it as a great admittance
- 9:46Speaker 3: of vulnerability. Now, I don't think you're wrong. Where at
- 9:49Speaker 3: first she agreed with you. Yeah, Yeah, when you hear it,
- 9:52Speaker 3: you go WHOA, Like Okay, what about? Like what what
- 9:57Speaker 3: in your dating relationship? What made you go, hey, I
- 10:00Speaker 3: need to go get some assistance. Now, I'm assuming after
- 10:03Speaker 3: four years they had probably pretty open communication. I'm sure
- 10:06Speaker 3: there was time after time where he was either told
- 10:10Speaker 3: or he felt like he was falling short in that relationship.
- 10:15Speaker 3: And over time, when you hear enough, hopefully you're a
- 10:22Speaker 3: humble enough person to say, Okay, I admit that I'm
- 10:26Speaker 3: not doing and I'm not reaching the expectations that you
- 10:30Speaker 3: have for me. In this relationship, so either I figured
- 10:34Speaker 3: this out on my own or regularly get help. And
- 10:35Speaker 3: I think at some point he said, I just need
- 10:36Speaker 3: to get help because this is the this is the
- 10:38Speaker 3: last option. We've tried everything. I've tried to get better.
- 10:40Speaker 3: I don't. I've tried to get you know, to be
- 10:42Speaker 3: a better partner. I haven't. You continue to be upset
- 10:45Speaker 3: with me. I'm also maybe assuming that the relationship in
- 10:48Speaker 3: itself wasn't healthy because neither felt like they were getting
- 10:52Speaker 3: what they needed out of it. And so, you know,
- 10:56Speaker 3: maybe he took, you know, took one for the team
- 10:58Speaker 3: and said, I'll go get help for this. But there
- 11:00Speaker 3: could we don't know the other side of the story.
- 11:01Speaker 3: It could be that his partner in this also needed
- 11:04Speaker 3: to go get some you know, help on what you know,
- 11:06Speaker 3: what healthy expectations are for relationships.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Totally Now, did did he say that it was that
- 11:12Speaker 2: relationship specifically that sent him to therapy, Because in my memory,
- 11:16Speaker 2: he was like, I was dating.
- 11:18Speaker 3: YEA and a couple other. But I don't think it's uh,
- 11:26Speaker 3: I don't think it's like a big deal. I really don't.
- 11:29Speaker 3: I mean, I think it's a good thing he did.
- 11:31Speaker 3: I don't think it's a big deal to look at.
- 11:34Speaker 3: You know, it matters what household you grew up in.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Two what if you could grow up with like a
- 11:38Speaker 3: dad or a mom who isn't an active listener. Like
- 11:41Speaker 3: you never get modeled for you, You never see it,
- 11:44Speaker 3: and so as a result, you go into relationships and
- 11:47Speaker 3: you're kind of modeling off the after the only thing
- 11:50Speaker 3: you know. And then you're like, wait, maybe there's a
- 11:52Speaker 3: better way, but you don't know how to do that
- 11:54Speaker 3: better way. So you have to get taught, you have
- 11:57Speaker 3: to get help.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Yeah, well, Charity obviously appreciated his admittance to that, and
- 12:14Speaker 2: and I think I think that's probably the most important
- 12:17Speaker 2: thing to talk about when it comes to their nighttime portion.
- 12:20Speaker 2: So the back of the house, we get a group
- 12:22Speaker 2: date card and it's pretty much everybody. Who's everybody is?
- 12:27Speaker 2: It wasn't every Yes, it's not everybody because there's two
- 12:31Speaker 2: group dates. So this one has Doton Tanner, Adrian John, Caleb,
- 12:36Speaker 2: Caleb b Caleb K. What the heck, how in the
- 12:38Speaker 2: world do we have three Calebs on one season. I
- 12:41Speaker 2: don't remember the last Caleb, Xavier, James, Ernest, Sean and Brandon.
- 12:46Speaker 2: The card says, suns out, buns out, And we didn't
- 12:51Speaker 2: know that they would take that so literally. Because the
- 12:53Speaker 2: guys show up to the beach and they are playing
- 12:57Speaker 2: the fourth annual, not annual as it was the fourth
- 13:00Speaker 2: in the tradition of playing dodgeball, this time modeling after
- 13:06Speaker 2: Claire season, where they will be in speedos. What if
- 13:10Speaker 2: you you care about the speedo thing. Remember how much
- 13:13Speaker 2: that made a stir with what's his name Joseph during
- 13:16Speaker 2: Claire season and how he said that wasn't appropriate for
- 13:19Speaker 2: his daughter.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I think it's fine. I don't have any I don't
- 13:22Speaker 3: have any issues. I do always laugh, and I think
- 13:24Speaker 3: that's what they want out of us. Like all of
- 13:25Speaker 3: a sudden, you see one of these guys in their
- 13:28Speaker 3: job as like attorney, the next is doctor, the other
- 13:30Speaker 3: one's teacher, and you're like, oh, now they're on a
- 13:33Speaker 3: speed in a speedo on national television. However, it's not
- 13:36Speaker 3: a thing. I mean, it's not. It's nothing that bothers me.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I think it's a funny, unique element to it now.
- 13:42Speaker 2: But so what if we flipped it instead of the
- 13:45Speaker 2: girls had to be wearing like thongs.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you're right, I don't know I think
- 13:52Speaker 3: it would.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I'm just playing devil's advocate. Yeah, I don't really care either.
- 13:58Speaker 3: No, see, I don't think you're wrong.
- 13:59Speaker 2: I think it's funny for guys, and we think it's
- 14:01Speaker 2: like misogynistic for girls.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Yeah, and then and and that's just kind of the
- 14:05Speaker 3: mindset right now. Yes, I don't know if I could
- 14:07Speaker 3: explain anything farther than that, other than it would just
- 14:10Speaker 3: feel like we consistently try to, you know, over sexualize women,
- 14:19Speaker 3: and we have for you know, years, and it would
- 14:23Speaker 3: just be wrong. It wouldn't be right. It wouldn't be
- 14:25Speaker 3: at the right time, right place, right right spot for
- 14:29Speaker 3: the show to do that. But with men, it's like
- 14:31Speaker 3: this can still be funny still, Like it can still
- 14:33Speaker 3: be a comedic about guys.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Butts are funny and if if they were like, Okay,
- 14:40Speaker 2: you're just gonna play dodgeball and a T shirt and shorts,
- 14:42Speaker 2: we'd be like snooze fest it would.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, so, I don't know, I can't explain it.
- 14:49Speaker 3: I'm not I'm not like up to date or educated enough.
- 14:52Speaker 3: And why it's still comedy versus you know, why it
- 14:55Speaker 3: would be inappropriate. Yeah, so somebody can do that A
- 14:59Speaker 3: lot better than than we can't hear, but it's still
- 15:01Speaker 3: a little funny. It doesn't really add enough for me.
- 15:05Speaker 3: If they said, hey, you're just gonna play dodgeball, I
- 15:07Speaker 3: would have been fine with that. I mean, it doesn't
- 15:09Speaker 3: add enough for me to be like, oh, now, this
- 15:11Speaker 3: date's worth it. Because all these dudes are tostos. You know,
- 15:15Speaker 3: they give them cups, which is I.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Guess is good. I mean it's also like.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Cold, it's super cool.
- 15:22Speaker 2: This shrinkage must have been a thing.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Oh, because you can see these dudes like shivering.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's march on the beach in La. It's got
- 15:32Speaker 2: to be in the fifties.
- 15:34Speaker 3: It's got to be cold. The fans are out there
- 15:36Speaker 3: and like sweaters and long hands. I love that they
- 15:39Speaker 3: have fans there. I love that the fans get to
- 15:42Speaker 3: kind of circle the whole arena because balls are flying
- 15:45Speaker 3: past them. I think that would have been really fun
- 15:46Speaker 3: to be at. I would have loved to just be
- 15:48Speaker 3: there and watch that date. I also say that I
- 15:52Speaker 3: was really impressed. I'm not always super impressed with their
- 15:55Speaker 3: dodgeball efforts. This group was very athletic and had some
- 15:59Speaker 3: of them had mass of arms, and they were like
- 16:02Speaker 3: catching incredible balls like this was. This is a legit
- 16:05Speaker 3: good dodgeball game. I think if we would have watched
- 16:08Speaker 3: it in real time on every play, we would have
- 16:11Speaker 3: been super intrigued by it because I think they were
- 16:13Speaker 3: going at each other. Obviously, Caleb stands out during this.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Xavier stood out to me. Some of the stuff he
- 16:20Speaker 3: was doing was incredible. Adrian, Adrian stood out. I was
- 16:25Speaker 3: surprised he got MVP. I think there was He made
- 16:29Speaker 3: it to the end a few times and definitely did
- 16:31Speaker 3: some things that helped his team, you know, almost win.
- 16:35Speaker 3: But I really felt like Caleb, and that was kind
- 16:37Speaker 3: of a storyline that show's point out, Like Caleb definitely
- 16:40Speaker 3: was was their best player and that's why they all
- 16:42Speaker 3: went after him first. And so, you know, fair not
- 16:46Speaker 3: Adrian gets the MVP.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Which creates, yeah, drama at the after party because Adrian,
- 16:54Speaker 2: according to Brandon, was not the most qualified for MVP,
- 16:59Speaker 2: and that's what gets them started arguing at the after party. Now, listen,
- 17:03Speaker 2: I know you don't like Branden, and I know that
- 17:05Speaker 2: Braiden is definitely like the guy with the most red
- 17:07Speaker 2: flags at this moment, but can we also just say
- 17:09Speaker 2: that Adrian is not at all perfect in the situation
- 17:12Speaker 2: as well, because Adrian is the guy that takes everything
- 17:15Speaker 2: so dead seriously and he hasn't cracked a smile the
- 17:18Speaker 2: entire time he's been here, and if he doesn't like
- 17:20Speaker 2: if a guy doesn't smile or have any levity about
- 17:24Speaker 2: the situation that they're in, he automatically gets on my
- 17:27Speaker 2: bad side.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Yeah, well they can't. You can't say I don't like
- 17:31Speaker 3: Braiden yet. I have my questions. I don't know enough
- 17:33Speaker 3: about him. I've seen him for well up to this episode.
- 17:36Speaker 3: One episode I thought he definitely threw some red flags up.
- 17:39Speaker 3: I definitely would like be weary of his future here
- 17:44Speaker 3: on the show and how he's going to behave. But
- 17:47Speaker 3: I don't know enough about him yet to say, hey,
- 17:50Speaker 3: I like him or I don't like him, or I
- 17:52Speaker 3: don't like him for Charity or whatever. I do think
- 17:55Speaker 3: Adrian had some stuff here where, you know, he continued
- 17:59Speaker 3: throughout this whole up so to h he's kind of
- 18:03Speaker 3: the guy now this season to talk about everybody else all.
- 18:06Speaker 2: The time the wrong reasons guy.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Yeah, and for a guy who probably has a really
- 18:10Speaker 3: good shot with Charity, and for a guy that seems
- 18:12Speaker 3: like a really good dude. He continues to use his
- 18:15Speaker 3: time to point out everybody else's flaws, which happens every season.
- 18:20Speaker 3: I don't know why it happens. I don't know how
- 18:22Speaker 3: they continue to find the people to do it every season,
- 18:24Speaker 3: but they do, and it never goes well and it
- 18:27Speaker 3: gets exhausting, I think for Charity, because at some point
- 18:29Speaker 3: Charity is going to sit down with the Adrian on
- 18:31Speaker 3: a day and be like, okay, well to.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Get anything in common, because we haven't talked about anything
- 18:36Speaker 2: other than other people.
- 18:37Speaker 3: So she's gonna end up asking the question because she
- 18:40Speaker 3: knows he's the guy, how's everybody else in the house?
- 18:42Speaker 3: What's going on? And then they never get to know
- 18:44Speaker 3: each other. I think the only, not the only, one
- 18:50Speaker 3: of the criticisms of Brayden here in this is he
- 18:53Speaker 3: uh you know, on episode one, if you remember, says
- 18:56Speaker 3: that he's just too over considerate.
- 19:00Speaker 2: That's a gross I don't know.
- 19:03Speaker 3: His definition of considerate or whatever that means, but he
- 19:08Speaker 3: continues to be lacking consideration in this experience, not only
- 19:14Speaker 3: in how he comes off the other guys, what he
- 19:18Speaker 3: says to the other guys, but also what he's saying
- 19:21Speaker 3: to Charity. And how he's reacting to the experience that
- 19:26Speaker 3: she's now being thrown into as the leader of the show,
- 19:28Speaker 3: knowing that she has to date a bunch of other people.
- 19:30Speaker 3: He isn't being considerate, He's being very selfish.
- 19:33Speaker 2: What did he say at the group day. Specifically at
- 19:37Speaker 2: the group day, he just called out Adrian for not
- 19:41Speaker 2: being qualified, right.
- 19:42Speaker 3: I want to say that he had during the group date,
- 19:45Speaker 3: it was mostly just aiding and saying this guy's taking
- 19:47Speaker 3: this as a joke, which is fine, but you're seeing
- 19:49Speaker 3: it kind of in the house, you know, if he
- 19:51Speaker 3: knows that's the concern of maybe just Adrian or others
- 19:55Speaker 3: in the house. He's definitely saying things that would rub
- 19:57Speaker 3: other people the wrong way to make them look at
- 19:59Speaker 3: him be like gosh, dang it, dude, just shut up,
- 20:01Speaker 3: stop talking, like, stop saying what you're saying. It's not
- 20:05Speaker 3: really until his sit down with Charity where Braden, I think,
- 20:08Speaker 3: really shows a selfishness where he's like, hey, I don't
- 20:12Speaker 3: like that you did.
- 20:13Speaker 2: That, which is at the pool party, right.
- 20:16Speaker 3: That's a pool party, because pretty much he's saying he
- 20:20Speaker 3: said it when he's setting a standard for her to follow,
- 20:23Speaker 3: which is unfair. For him right now. Two, he's setting
- 20:26Speaker 3: an expectation for her to follow, which is still unfair
- 20:29Speaker 3: for him right now. Three he isn't being considerate because
- 20:32Speaker 3: if he was being considerate and as he says, overly considerate,
- 20:35Speaker 3: he would understand that she's the lead of a show
- 20:37Speaker 3: and trying to figure out how to date all these
- 20:38Speaker 3: people and build relationships with all these people so that
- 20:40Speaker 3: at the end of this she can possibly be with
- 20:42Speaker 3: one of them. Consider being considerate, they would be like,
- 20:44Speaker 3: I get it, this is weird, this is hard. I'm
- 20:46Speaker 3: gonna have my own struggles through this whole thing. But
- 20:50Speaker 3: you have to do what you have to do, and
- 20:52Speaker 3: hopefully I'm still here at the him because that's how
- 20:53Speaker 3: much I care about you, instead of the bantai antithesis
- 20:58Speaker 3: of considerate.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Yeah, but he also she also like apologizes to him,
- 21:03Speaker 2: which is like.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Too bad, Yeah, she shouldn't do that.
- 21:07Speaker 2: She's like, I know, I know, I'm just trying to
- 21:09Speaker 2: figure things out. Yeah yeah, okay, Wait, let's go back
- 21:14Speaker 2: for a second. So their drama at the group date,
- 21:17Speaker 2: we where does the spring break term come up? Nobody
- 21:22Speaker 2: ever says it feels like spring break? Do they blatantly?
- 21:26Speaker 2: I remember, Okay, all right, So I just wanted to
- 21:28Speaker 2: clarify that one of the interesting things, and this happens
- 21:32Speaker 2: sometimes in the edit, is that John gets the group
- 21:34Speaker 2: date Rose, but we do not see them converse very long.
- 21:38Speaker 3: It's true, we don't see them converse very long, and
- 21:40Speaker 3: I think I don't think it was I think he
- 21:44Speaker 3: is secretly a very strong candidate right now, and I
- 21:50Speaker 3: don't think his conversations with her are shown a lot,
- 21:54Speaker 3: but I believe that they're very comfortable, and I think
- 21:57Speaker 3: he's very reassuring. I think he kind of has a
- 22:00Speaker 3: demeanor in the spirit of somebody that's definitely there for
- 22:03Speaker 3: the right reasons and is taking this as seriously as
- 22:06Speaker 3: he possibly can take it at this point in time.
- 22:10Speaker 3: I think she's very attracted to him. I think he's
- 22:12Speaker 3: very attracted to her, and he's also kind of the
- 22:20Speaker 3: he's the pick here for that group day Rose, that's
- 22:24Speaker 3: not going to be super controversial. Like there's some people
- 22:27Speaker 3: that really thought they deserved it and should have it,
- 22:29Speaker 3: and I think there were some people that deserved it
- 22:31Speaker 3: and should have it, and he's kind of the one
- 22:33Speaker 3: that probably was cool either way, but very excited to
- 22:37Speaker 3: have it and that charity probably figured would cause a
- 22:40Speaker 3: lot the least amount of drama she gives it to Adrian.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Braidens super upset. If she gives it to Braiden, probably
- 22:47Speaker 3: Adrian and a few others are upset. I think it
- 22:51Speaker 3: was between Xavier and John for this group day Rose,
- 22:53Speaker 3: and obviously John got it, and so he was just
- 22:57Speaker 3: kind of the safe pick here to say, hey, let's
- 23:00Speaker 3: keep this as clean as possible for as long as possible.
- 23:04Speaker 2: M all right. So I love the second group date.
- 23:07Speaker 2: This is more up my alley. I love it when
- 23:09Speaker 2: it's kind of a game show situation. Gabby and Rachel
- 23:13Speaker 2: are there. The boys on the date are John, Henry,
- 23:16Speaker 2: Michael Warwick, Spencer, Joey, and Josh. Joey's obviously like the
- 23:21Speaker 2: front runner going into this date. Everybody kind of already
- 23:24Speaker 2: knows Joey's name. He has a personality that can jumps
- 23:26Speaker 2: out a little bit more on scream. So it's all
- 23:29Speaker 2: about basically kissing, and I'm like immediately when they say
- 23:32Speaker 2: it's the Bachelor record for kissing, I'm like, ah, I
- 23:35Speaker 2: remember that being Sean low season, and I remember being like, oh,
- 23:39Speaker 2: this is so awkward to have to keep your lips
- 23:42Speaker 2: on someone for over who it felt like more than
- 23:45Speaker 2: three minutes on Shawn season and it's in public, and
- 23:50Speaker 2: it's just like, oh my god, so much. You know
- 23:53Speaker 2: you need little breaks. I don't do you agree?
- 23:57Speaker 3: Yes, yes, it's just awkward. I mean that's why it's
- 23:59Speaker 3: a thing. Is nobody does this, Nobody like this isn't hot,
- 24:03Speaker 3: this isn't cool.
- 24:05Speaker 2: No, it's not.
- 24:05Speaker 3: It's literally a competition to say how long can we
- 24:08Speaker 3: keep our lips together? But it's not like there's they're
- 24:12Speaker 3: lying to you if they're like that was incredibly like
- 24:15Speaker 3: for like the first twenty seconds and then it got
- 24:18Speaker 3: really boring.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so I'm like, Okay, well this is gonna be
- 24:23Speaker 2: interesting but definitely not hot. And I did like the
- 24:25Speaker 2: Coole question and answer part. That was really fun and
- 24:28Speaker 2: it did get to know I think this is the
- 24:31Speaker 2: kind of group date where you can have a lot
- 24:33Speaker 2: of guys and get to know their personalities pretty well.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Three questions like this, now Joey wins the one on
- 24:41Speaker 2: Joey Wow. He kind of wins the Q and A,
- 24:44Speaker 2: which leads to the kiss, and then that leads to
- 24:46Speaker 2: him having a one on one And I like the
- 24:48Speaker 2: fact that we're getting to one on ones in the
- 24:52Speaker 2: first episode, because usually it's just the standard two group
- 24:56Speaker 2: dates and then the one on one we like a
- 24:59Speaker 2: little bit of in Micy, Right, So Joey and her
- 25:03Speaker 2: go back to like a hotel room, and it is
- 25:05Speaker 2: so funny because my friend is like watching this and
- 25:08Speaker 2: she and he's like, you know, my family's really important
- 25:10Speaker 2: to me, and she like stops and she's like, this
- 25:12Speaker 2: is the silliest thing. Like everybody stops the Bachelor a
- 25:16Speaker 2: bat Clorette and is like, my family's really important to me.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Like of course, like how many people are like, you know,
- 25:22Speaker 2: family's not a big part of my life.
- 25:24Speaker 3: I care less about my friends and family. Yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Right, And then he just turns it on us and goes,
- 25:30Speaker 2: my dad came out when I was in kindergarten. And
- 25:33Speaker 2: we're like, okay, selp, you got a really interesting family story.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely, And he does, right, and the way he
- 25:40Speaker 3: talks to it and talks talks about it, and you know,
- 25:45Speaker 3: I think I think it did. His family's important to him.
- 25:48Speaker 3: I'm sure it wasn't always easy. I'm sure it was
- 25:50Speaker 3: a you know, there was a lot of conversations that
- 25:53Speaker 3: you know, most parents don't have with their kids, but
- 25:59Speaker 3: when they do have, I think it brings him closer together.
- 26:01Speaker 3: I think we see it in Joey's situation, this group,
- 26:04Speaker 3: this after part With me, really it made me more
- 26:09Speaker 3: confident in Joey. I remember last week I said, I
- 26:11Speaker 3: think there's like gonna be some controversy with Joey. I
- 26:13Speaker 3: don't know.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Why do you think controversy?
- 26:16Speaker 3: Well, I mostly I think it was how the last
- 26:19Speaker 3: week the preview was edited and how he was like,
- 26:22Speaker 3: remember he was the one tongue the tongue, and then
- 26:24Speaker 3: like you saw arguments go down afterwards. I didn't know
- 26:27Speaker 3: the context for why this kiss was happening in front
- 26:31Speaker 3: of all the other guys. I didn't know it was
- 26:33Speaker 3: like a set up thing, And so I thought him
- 26:36Speaker 3: and Charity had like walked off on the side and
- 26:38Speaker 3: like we're seen making out like this in front of everybody,
- 26:41Speaker 3: and that he was going to pretty much like throw
- 26:43Speaker 3: up the middle finger and be like, hey, screw you all,
- 26:44Speaker 3: I'm I'm I'm good. No. Now, with this date, I
- 26:48Speaker 3: think it definitely softened what I think of Joey and
- 26:53Speaker 3: says no, I think he's gonna be great. I think
- 26:55Speaker 3: he's gonna be here for a while. I think he's
- 26:56Speaker 3: really in Charity. Now makes sense, so on why he
- 27:00Speaker 3: was making out with her in front of other guys.
- 27:03Speaker 3: I don't love this for the show. I think this
- 27:07Speaker 3: is a fun date.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's weird. It's it's kind of weird. I agree,
- 27:12Speaker 2: And that's why I didn't. I mean, I didn't want
- 27:14Speaker 2: Brandon to go over and be like, hey, I have
- 27:16Speaker 2: problems with you doing that. Yeah, but I do think
- 27:19Speaker 2: it's kind of like, oh, that's like a like a.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Well, I think it. You know, Charity's brand new into this.
- 27:27Speaker 3: I'm sure she has her own strategy on how she
- 27:30Speaker 3: wants all these relationships to form and how she wants
- 27:32Speaker 3: to cause the least amount of damage to each relationship
- 27:35Speaker 3: along the way as she pursues other relationships. One of
- 27:38Speaker 3: the ways to do that is to keep your physical
- 27:42Speaker 3: touch isolated to when you're in frontment. Yeah, that's just good.
- 27:47Speaker 3: It keeps things, keeps things mysterious, it keeps things unknown,
- 27:52Speaker 3: And the show definitely set her up to have to
- 27:54Speaker 3: have this in public in front of other guys. So
- 27:56Speaker 3: I'm wondering, you know, if her fiance feature Beyonce is
- 28:00Speaker 3: standing in this group. That's a memory, you know, burt
- 28:04Speaker 3: into his mind. Now, how well he'll handle that over time,
- 28:07Speaker 3: that's up to him and up to her. But for
- 28:10Speaker 3: right now, it's really gonna be hard to be Like.
- 28:13Speaker 3: I watched you really make like make make make out
- 28:16Speaker 3: with somebody in front of me, and I had to
- 28:18Speaker 3: stand there through it and figure out how to be
- 28:20Speaker 3: like a decent human during it and not freak out.
- 28:24Speaker 3: And I get the freak out. So I think it
- 28:26Speaker 3: sets her up for failure a little bit. And so
- 28:28Speaker 3: that's why I'm a little upset with Braden and how
- 28:32Speaker 3: he handled it. Where it's like, I don't know if
- 28:34Speaker 3: Charity wanted to do this or not. I'm sure she
- 28:35Speaker 3: didn't find this the most ideal situation, but it was.
- 28:38Speaker 3: It was the the date that was planned that she
- 28:42Speaker 3: didn't know about. Obviously, it was in a sense it
- 28:47Speaker 3: was like an obstacle. You know, every day has its
- 28:50Speaker 3: own little obstacles to it. It was her obstacle to complete
- 28:53Speaker 3: and to finish and to conquer, to move on then
- 28:56Speaker 3: to whatever was next in the season. And I'm hoping
- 29:00Speaker 3: that all these guys are like Churity, you did it,
- 29:02Speaker 3: if you liked it or not. You did it, you
- 29:04Speaker 3: did it well, you got through it, you set the record,
- 29:06Speaker 3: and you moved on. But to get upset with her
- 29:11Speaker 3: is just unfair.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Two things. Do you think that this this was the
- 29:15Speaker 2: scene with the tongue right in the preview?
- 29:17Speaker 3: I think it was. It looked like the best same background.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I didn't see the actual tongue clip that they showed.
- 29:25Speaker 3: I'm glad they didn't.
- 29:28Speaker 2: They probably flashed to the other guys during that. I
- 29:30Speaker 2: don't know if we did to begin in real time,
- 29:32Speaker 2: I don't think we had three and a half full minutes.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Awful to you, Yeah, imagine.
- 29:38Speaker 2: And then uh, Secondly, you just have to on the
- 29:43Speaker 2: back end, like you have to kind of like think
- 29:46Speaker 2: the pressures of just being like, yeah, am I gonna
- 29:48Speaker 2: fight this? No, I'm not going to fight this one.
- 29:50Speaker 2: There's certain things that you get given as the lead
- 29:53Speaker 2: where you're like, I really don't want to do this,
- 29:55Speaker 2: Like let's talk this out, like let's figure out what
- 29:57Speaker 2: we how do we get away around the situation with production? Right,
- 30:02Speaker 2: And then there's stuff like this where you're just like
- 30:04Speaker 2: it's silly, it's a show, let's just go with it,
- 30:07Speaker 2: go with it.
- 30:07Speaker 3: I mean it's yeah, it's just silly. This is not
- 30:11Speaker 3: a This is not hey go up on stage and
- 30:13Speaker 3: like have the hottest thing of your life in front
- 30:16Speaker 3: of all these other dudes.
- 30:17Speaker 2: That's not kind of like straddling each other too.
- 30:20Speaker 3: They're standing up in front of a group of people
- 30:23Speaker 3: that are cheering, and they're being like commentated on. This
- 30:26Speaker 3: is nothing romantic. Yeah, but I will say their evening
- 30:30Speaker 3: portion was more romantic. And I do think Joey is
- 30:33Speaker 3: a front runner. I think he definitely stands out. I'm
- 30:37Speaker 3: going to be shocked if he goes home anytime soon.
- 30:39Speaker 3: I think his I think his relationship with Charity is
- 30:42Speaker 3: is probably even above Aaron Bees at this point.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Really, I think she likes Aaron Bee more for some reason.
- 30:49Speaker 2: I think she connects with him more emotionally, but I
- 30:52Speaker 2: think that she's more physically maybe into Joey.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Well, I think they're both front runners. I think if
- 30:59Speaker 3: I had to make my list, they're one and two
- 31:01Speaker 3: either direction.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Right now, one and two mm hmm, no way, Yeah.
- 31:08Speaker 3: It would be above them.
- 31:10Speaker 2: When I look at the list. Maybe you're right. I mean, Braiden, honestly,
- 31:15Speaker 2: Branden would for her, I mean for her right now,
- 31:18Speaker 2: right there in her head, she's thinking about Braiden more
- 31:21Speaker 2: than joe I think.
- 31:22Speaker 3: No. I think at this point after episode two, she's
- 31:26Speaker 3: starting to get a very clear picture of who Braiden is.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I think she, Yes, she apologized to him, Yes she
- 31:31Speaker 3: handled that conversation how she needs to. But I think
- 31:34Speaker 3: she is very aware and in tune with the communication
- 31:40Speaker 3: going on, where she's like, this is getting weird, like
- 31:43Speaker 3: this is my brother said something. He's already said a
- 31:46Speaker 3: few things that have like kind of thrown me off. Like,
- 31:49Speaker 3: I think her comfort and her romantic or like relationship
- 31:53Speaker 3: with Braiden is definitely far below what it is with
- 31:57Speaker 3: Joey and Aaron.
- 31:58Speaker 2: B Okay, okay, okay, we'll see. Well, let's go to
- 32:02Speaker 2: the pool party. Classic story. The cocktail party is canceled
- 32:08Speaker 2: because where's a pool party? Like, you know what? One
- 32:11Speaker 2: time I want them to throw us a twist and
- 32:13Speaker 2: be like guess what, guys. Week two, everything's canceled, see it.
- 32:18Speaker 2: The row ceremony, Yeah, without bringing the pool party in.
- 32:22Speaker 3: And we've said it every season, the pool party is
- 32:24Speaker 3: never a party.
- 32:24Speaker 2: It's I hate it. I hated the pool party. These
- 32:30Speaker 2: things are meant to happen at night in a more
- 32:32Speaker 2: romantic atmosphere, and the pool party is.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Such a weird idea. It's like, Okay, you have one
- 32:37Speaker 3: girl and like twenty five dudes, like what party?
- 32:39Speaker 2: Exactly?
- 32:41Speaker 3: What? They're all going to be like fighting after charity,
- 32:44Speaker 3: She's gonna be being pulled left and right, and they're
- 32:47Speaker 3: all going to be swimming in the pool and a
- 32:48Speaker 3: bunch of dudes are going to be playing chicken with
- 32:50Speaker 3: them on their shoulders, and she's gonna be on some
- 32:52Speaker 3: other guys like it doesn't happen.
- 32:55Speaker 2: I thank you for saying that, because at night, when
- 32:58Speaker 2: it's all glamorous, makes sense for the guys to be like,
- 33:01Speaker 2: can I take you aside? Can I? Just everything just
- 33:04Speaker 2: feels more of like a ball, like they're courting you
- 33:07Speaker 2: in a Bridgington way, and the pool bard is just
- 33:10Speaker 2: like black let's have beers and get sloppy, all right.
- 33:16Speaker 2: So the only like the thing that I really remember
- 33:19Speaker 2: from this, of course, is first we've talked about how
- 33:22Speaker 2: Braiden pulls her aside, But what we don't we haven't
- 33:24Speaker 2: talked about yet is then Adrian pulls her aside and
- 33:30Speaker 2: is like I just want to reiterate the whole spring
- 33:34Speaker 2: break conversation I'm having, Uh, it's Brayden, and I don't
- 33:39Speaker 2: know that I really I don't really trust this guy. Again,
- 33:42Speaker 2: doesn't really crack a smile the entire time. He you know, Basically,
- 33:47Speaker 2: the reveal here is that Braiden is the one that
- 33:49Speaker 2: is giving him spring break feels. And then she's like really,
- 33:55Speaker 2: and then we never see her address Braiden again, so
- 34:00Speaker 2: either not that big of a deal or they did
- 34:03Speaker 2: address it and not just didn't keep it in there.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Then goes to the rose ceremony. Of course it's going
- 34:10Speaker 2: to go to the two of them at the end,
- 34:12Speaker 2: and then of course the two of them are going
- 34:14Speaker 2: to get roses. But what was telling to me and like,
- 34:19Speaker 2: you keep fighting it. She definitely gave Branden the last
- 34:23Speaker 2: rose because of dramatic factor, but she got giddy when
- 34:27Speaker 2: she gave him that rose. She was like, I finally
- 34:31Speaker 2: give it to you, and then they were all tachi
- 34:35Speaker 2: and giggly.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Well, Jessica watched that part with me.
- 34:39Speaker 2: She was like, she likes him.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Yeah, she hasn't watched the first two episodes, but she
- 34:45Speaker 3: watched this part and when she watched she I said
- 34:48Speaker 3: what do you think of this dude? That's all I
- 34:49Speaker 3: asked her. And she watched like his kind of monologue
- 34:54Speaker 3: there where he was speaking to camera and then gets
- 34:57Speaker 3: the rose and she's like she really likes it him. Yea,
- 35:01Speaker 3: she could tell. Yeah, she might be a little giddy.
- 35:04Speaker 3: I just don't think it has the depth. Again, I'll
- 35:07Speaker 3: go back. I don't think it has the depth of
- 35:09Speaker 3: If I'm putting a bet on this right now, it's
- 35:11Speaker 3: Aaron b and Joey above Braiden here. You know at
- 35:14Speaker 3: this point too, like you said at the beginning, Adrian
- 35:17Speaker 3: is not without fault here. Even Xavier comments on the
- 35:22Speaker 3: fact that Adrian continues to kind of be this not
- 35:26Speaker 3: for the right reasons police. Exavier says, come on, dude,
- 35:29Speaker 3: what are you doing? Yeah?
- 35:30Speaker 2: I like that. I was like, yes, thank you for
- 35:33Speaker 2: just saying, like, why do you even care?
- 35:35Speaker 3: And if I'm a buddy of Adrian in the house,
- 35:38Speaker 3: like if I'm close enough in a friend with him,
- 35:40Speaker 3: I'm pulling him aside and being like, hey, I get
- 35:42Speaker 3: that you have weird feelings. We all do, like about Braiden,
- 35:45Speaker 3: Like it's it's not a secret. You just don't have
- 35:48Speaker 3: to get a guy like, you don't have to carry
- 35:50Speaker 3: you don't have to carry the weight to this for
- 35:52Speaker 3: the whole cast. You just got to focus on Charity
- 35:54Speaker 3: because at the end of the day, this is going
- 35:56Speaker 3: to destroy relationship with Charity and you're only going to
- 35:58Speaker 3: be known as the guy who is policing and comedy
- 36:03Speaker 3: on Braiden, which is odd in itself. One thing we
- 36:06Speaker 3: haven't got to yet. The guys that get a rose
- 36:08Speaker 3: this week are Doton Tanner, Caleb b Warwick, Michael Sean,
- 36:15Speaker 3: Xavier Aaron s, James Adrim Braiden, Joey Aaron and John
- 36:20Speaker 3: already had roses. So the guys that go home, a
- 36:23Speaker 3: lot of them we don't even know yet. I can't
- 36:25Speaker 3: even tell you their names.
- 36:26Speaker 2: We got rid of two Calebs, though I can tell
- 36:28Speaker 2: you that we got.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Rid of two Caleb's big deal for the rest of
- 36:31Speaker 3: the season. The other one is my dude Spencer that
- 36:34Speaker 3: I wanted to see more of, that I wanted to
- 36:36Speaker 3: understand more of. I think was let go. He is
- 36:39Speaker 3: the one with the child who spoke at Charity last week,
- 36:43Speaker 3: who I said just kind of like was an awkward conversationalist,
- 36:46Speaker 3: but I wanted to know more about him because I
- 36:48Speaker 3: don't think he's super awkward or super weird. But we
- 36:50Speaker 3: never got to see him again, so he had like
- 36:53Speaker 3: one little moment there and we have nothing else to
- 36:56Speaker 3: base it on. But I do think he goes home
- 36:58Speaker 3: this week.
- 36:58Speaker 2: But there's multiple guys with kids, right.
- 37:01Speaker 3: There are multiple multiple guys with kids, But he was
- 37:04Speaker 3: Spencer was the one that sat down to the fireplace
- 37:07Speaker 3: and we both agreed, like the conversation was just awkward,
- 37:10Speaker 3: Like it just felt weird. It felt like he was
- 37:13Speaker 3: trying really hard.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Oh that's Spencer. Yeah, Okay, that was weird because I
- 37:20Speaker 2: actually thought he was going to play a bigger role
- 37:22Speaker 2: in this season, right. I thought he was going to
- 37:26Speaker 2: be the token awkward guy that would like creep in
- 37:29Speaker 2: on situations and would be there for humor's sake.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Yeah he's not, And I'm sad about that because I
- 37:33Speaker 3: wanted to get to know more about him. I think
- 37:35Speaker 3: he probably had a really cool story, and I think
- 37:37Speaker 3: his you know, his first week. He can't judge somebody
- 37:40Speaker 3: in their first week's impression because it's so it's so
- 37:44Speaker 3: nerve wracking, So I want to see more of them.
- 37:47Speaker 3: He does get on the group date for the kiss,
- 37:48Speaker 3: but he doesn't really say much. But he's gone this week. Okay,
- 37:52Speaker 3: final question of the day for you, Ashley, as we
- 37:56Speaker 3: prepare here to talk about the sneak peak for the
- 37:58Speaker 3: following weeks. You had said something last week about Braden's ear.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Rings earrings, and he brought it. He brought the he
- 38:07Speaker 2: brought the earring game. This week he had so many
- 38:09Speaker 2: earring changes. Now, no, my fault.
- 38:12Speaker 3: That's what I wondered, is is that a cool thing?
- 38:14Speaker 3: Like is?
- 38:17Speaker 2: Uh? I would never be into a guy that was
- 38:19Speaker 2: wearing earrings like that. It would be like we'll throw
- 38:22Speaker 2: me off a bit, and that I mean like that
- 38:25Speaker 2: in a sexual sense. Like I would never be like, ah,
- 38:27Speaker 2: those earrings on you really turned me on, except for
- 38:30Speaker 2: the little diamond studs aka like ad justin Timberlake that
- 38:33Speaker 2: that he wore the first week. That was like like those.
- 38:37Speaker 2: It's weird how some guys can just get away with
- 38:40Speaker 2: diamond earrings, right, But like, could you I mentionine yourself
- 38:42Speaker 2: wearing diamond earrings? Actually, I can imagine you wearing diamonds
- 38:47Speaker 2: and getting away with it way better than Jared gerould
- 38:51Speaker 2: look super weird in it. You'd actually maybe look good No.
- 38:54Speaker 3: That's it's that's that's not a look.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Did you ever know you're a little.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Had never had a near ringe. I wasn't against it.
- 39:03Speaker 3: I probably had thought about it because they used to
- 39:05Speaker 3: be really cool to have.
- 39:07Speaker 2: They were so cool.
- 39:08Speaker 3: But no, I've never I've never had them, And if
- 39:11Speaker 3: I had them today, I think I would just personally
- 39:14Speaker 3: feel very awkward, not because I don't think they're cool,
- 39:17Speaker 3: sometimes just because for me, I just don't feel like
- 39:20Speaker 3: they fit me very well at all.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I think diamond studs, you know, at a certain time
- 39:26Speaker 2: and place, at that time and place that you were
- 39:28Speaker 2: on that cop show, Yeah, I.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Don't think when I found the cocaine on the beach
- 39:33Speaker 3: in Miami, that would have been the time.
- 39:39Speaker 2: And what was the line at the end of the show.
- 39:41Speaker 3: With my hookah necklace, I saw I found cocaine, or
- 39:45Speaker 3: I salt Tities and found cocaine the best spring break ever.
- 39:49Speaker 3: You look that up on through TV. It's South Beach,
- 39:53Speaker 3: Miami and find my little sophomore high school self finding
- 39:57Speaker 3: cocaine washed up on the beach and saying the stupidest
- 40:00Speaker 3: quote of all.
- 40:01Speaker 2: Time, Cities and cocaine, best spring freak ever. With some
- 40:06Speaker 2: Diamond Studs. I've been super cute.
- 40:08Speaker 3: If you don't know where we're talking about, go Google. Okay,
- 40:13Speaker 3: sneak peak for next week. Really, nothing in this stands out.
- 40:17Speaker 4: To me, nothing least dramatic review ever.
- 40:32Speaker 3: So let's bounce into Bachelor headlines. There's some controversy this
- 40:37Speaker 3: week actually in Bachelor Nation, maybe not with contestants themselves,
- 40:41Speaker 3: but just with how things have played out. One of
- 40:44Speaker 3: our rival podcasts, Bachelor Happy Hour, has made headlines.
- 40:47Speaker 4: Uh.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Joe and Serena are the new Bachelor Happy Hour hosts
- 40:51Speaker 3: and they have big shoes to fill, they say they do.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Beck and Michelle are the hosts of that. Becca has
- 40:56Speaker 3: been the consistent host fat for a while. Thomas Jacob
- 41:00Speaker 3: kind of came out yeah, commented how sad it was
- 41:03Speaker 3: that Becka and Michelle were released from the show without
- 41:06Speaker 3: even a good bye episode. M h.
- 41:09Speaker 2: I think there's an illusion that there was like some
- 41:11Speaker 2: shade there, yeah, that they yeah, like why would they
- 41:17Speaker 2: do that to them without giving them an option. I
- 41:21Speaker 2: think they're mad because I think that it was just
- 41:23Speaker 2: an executive decision to have Joe and Siran in and
- 41:27Speaker 2: they just had no warning at the end of their season,
- 41:30Speaker 2: but it has been a rotating cast for quite some time.
- 41:34Speaker 2: There was I first started out with Rachel. Oh no,
- 41:36Speaker 2: it was Rachel and Ali.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Yeah, Rachel and Ali started it, and then.
- 41:41Speaker 2: It was Rachel and Becca, and then Beca and anybody else?
- 41:45Speaker 2: Or did Michelle go right in after Rachel.
- 41:48Speaker 3: I think Michelle stepped in, and I don't. I think
- 41:50Speaker 3: Tasha might have sat in for that's a ship.
- 41:53Speaker 2: May have been there for a while too.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Yeah, but I mean Beca's been around there a while.
- 41:57Speaker 3: I get it, like all of a sudden, iHeart calls
- 41:59Speaker 3: you nine says hey, almost famous podcast is changing hosts.
- 42:03Speaker 3: You're out, and we don't get the say anything about it.
- 42:06Speaker 3: We don't get to come on for like a final Hey,
- 42:08Speaker 3: thank you for the years that we've gotten to speak
- 42:10Speaker 3: with all of you and share emails with all of
- 42:12Speaker 3: you and talk about this show with all of you.
- 42:16Speaker 3: You kind of feel like, okay, well you get pushed out,
- 42:19Speaker 3: which would just be weird. And it doesn't sound like
- 42:22Speaker 3: they get pushed out based on ratings or listeners or
- 42:26Speaker 3: bad behavior. It just sounds like they got changed up
- 42:29Speaker 3: based on negotiations. Maybe I don't know.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Well. Thomas also said that they're not really into watching
- 42:38Speaker 2: the show this season because of the bad taste left
- 42:41Speaker 2: in their mouth because of this move.
- 42:43Speaker 3: Well that's not fair to charity.
- 42:46Speaker 2: Yeah, but they're talking about water.
- 42:49Speaker 3: Oh there's upset, there's probably. I mean Becka came on
- 42:53Speaker 3: and co hosted this with me for a bit when
- 42:55Speaker 3: you were out and had said then like she didn't
- 42:58Speaker 3: really know what was going on, but they hadn't record
- 43:00Speaker 3: We're in a few weeks and she was kind of wondering,
- 43:03Speaker 3: we wish Joe. I mean, this is this is nothing
- 43:05Speaker 3: to do with Joe and Srena stepping into this bachelor
- 43:08Speaker 3: happy hour, you know, Joe.
- 43:10Speaker 2: I like the fact a married couple is going to
- 43:11Speaker 2: be breaking it down.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Sure, and Joe and Joe has been around Warner Brothers
- 43:15Speaker 3: now for years doing projects for them. When it comes
- 43:18Speaker 3: to podcasts and shows and hosting things started on clickbait clickbait.
- 43:26Speaker 3: But I do think you know, it's in a transition season,
- 43:30Speaker 3: which is always interesting, but you can always listen to us.
- 43:33Speaker 3: We're not changing. We're gonna be here and we're not
- 43:35Speaker 3: mad at each other.
- 43:36Speaker 2: We're not trying to plug the other podcast here. It's
- 43:40Speaker 2: too much drum over there. Guys, just stay where it's stable.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Stay here and almost famous. Hey, next headline is this
- 43:47Speaker 3: Bachelor Nations Julia Kenny, Marys, Evan Bass's brother Aaron Bass,
- 43:51Speaker 3: and King Kune.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Mm hmm okay. So they've been together for a long
- 43:55Speaker 2: time and engaged for a long time. So I wasn't
- 43:58Speaker 2: even sure that they weren't secretly married like had done
- 44:00Speaker 2: a courthouse wedding. But they had the real wedding six
- 44:04Speaker 2: years after meeting in Mexico and one child. They were
- 44:08Speaker 2: in Cancun and it was this past Friday, June thirtieth,
- 44:13Speaker 2: in front of friends and family, including of course his
- 44:17Speaker 2: brother Evan. It's always just so crazy to me because
- 44:21Speaker 2: Carly and Julia were the best of friends, which is
- 44:24Speaker 2: why the two of them well, which is why Carly
- 44:28Speaker 2: introduced Well, I guess it's not a real introduction because
- 44:31Speaker 2: it happened at the wedding, but Carly loved the fact
- 44:34Speaker 2: that Julia was dating her then brother in law. But
- 44:37Speaker 2: now they're no longer brother in law, so we're was
- 44:40Speaker 2: Carly at the wedding. Wait, I have got to find
- 44:43Speaker 2: this out. I've got a text Carly that's freaking crazy, right,
- 44:46Speaker 2: what do you do in a situation like that, But
- 44:49Speaker 2: your bestie ends up marrying your past brother in law,
- 44:55Speaker 2: your ex brother in law.
- 44:56Speaker 3: It's not about you. You just smile, You go through it,
- 44:59Speaker 3: you show up, you do your best you can. You
- 45:01Speaker 3: know it's awkward, you know it's weird, but you don't
- 45:04Speaker 3: take any attention on yourself. Yeah, it's the best way
- 45:08Speaker 3: to do it.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Yeah, they've been planning a wedding for a while, they said,
- 45:12Speaker 2: but but the COVID got in the life.
- 45:15Speaker 3: Yeah, well it is a little bit of a oh.
- 45:20Speaker 2: We have an answer, okay. Carly actually told us Weekly
- 45:24Speaker 2: in April that she was going to be skipping the
- 45:27Speaker 2: wedding to avoid causing a distraction on Julia's big day.
- 45:31Speaker 2: She said, if I'm there, lots of people could be uncomfortable,
- 45:35Speaker 2: and we don't need that to be the focus. So instead,
- 45:38Speaker 2: I'm going to FaceTime her. The whole day is she's
- 45:41Speaker 2: getting ready and drink champagne with her via FaceTime. It's
- 45:45Speaker 2: Evans brother, it's his family and friends, and I think
- 45:48Speaker 2: that takes priority. That's actually really really awesome of Carly,
- 45:51Speaker 2: and I would obviously expect no less.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Yeah, that's great. That's a good, good choice, So Carly
- 45:58Speaker 3: was not at the wedding. Reporting right now, we're reporting
- 46:02Speaker 3: it bach Nations. Tasha Adams says she has become more
- 46:07Speaker 3: private since her split with Zach Clark.
- 46:09Speaker 2: This according to E News, she said that her life
- 46:12Speaker 2: was pretty exposed at one point, nothing was really her own,
- 46:16Speaker 2: and I think there's a lot of beauty in that,
- 46:18Speaker 2: because you create a community of people that really care
- 46:21Speaker 2: about you and they want to see you do well
- 46:22Speaker 2: and root for you. But at the same time, it's
- 46:24Speaker 2: not normal to have every aspect of your life out there.
- 46:28Speaker 2: So she's been taking a step back because she says,
- 46:31Speaker 2: I think as a human you look for validation everywhere,
- 46:33Speaker 2: and it was just becoming an unhealthy, an unhealthy thing
- 46:37Speaker 2: for me. So there are some aspects of my life
- 46:40Speaker 2: that I like to keep a bit private, and when
- 46:42Speaker 2: I'm ready to announce things, I'll do it. But other
- 46:44Speaker 2: than that, it's just a balance of what you're okay with.
- 46:49Speaker 2: And I think that we're all kind of curious whether
- 46:52Speaker 2: she's still dating Loop from Summerhouse. Right. They have not publicly,
- 46:58Speaker 2: you know, come out there with their relationship on their
- 47:01Speaker 2: own Instagram, but they were seeing looking at rings in
- 47:05Speaker 2: April rings like engaging rings.
- 47:09Speaker 3: It feels like it's serious.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds like it's serious. I hope.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Well that's all we have for you today. We'll be
- 47:23Speaker 3: back next week breaking down Week three of Charity season
- 47:25Speaker 3: of The Bachelorette. Just pretty fans out there who have
- 47:29Speaker 3: been watching and wondering. Yes, I don't think Week two
- 47:31Speaker 3: was as good as Week one on this Bachelorette season.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Because we didn't have our brother in a costume.
- 47:36Speaker 3: That's probably it, but we also have to remember that
- 47:38Speaker 3: week's two, three, and sometimes even four kind of they
- 47:42Speaker 3: get slow. They get slow, and then they pick up again. Right.
- 47:45Speaker 3: Weeks five on are really exciting. We start to know
- 47:48Speaker 3: the cast better, we start to hear more of the
- 47:49Speaker 3: cast stories, and so just you got to just kind
- 47:52Speaker 3: of plug through, stay in. I know it's a late night,
- 47:55Speaker 3: I know it's a long watch, but if you plug through,
- 47:57Speaker 3: I do think this season is going to end and
- 48:00Speaker 3: everybody's gonna really satisfied.
- 48:02Speaker 2: People do that with so many other shows. How many
- 48:05Speaker 2: shows do people tell you, Ben, You've got to watch this,
- 48:08Speaker 2: but then you watch it and you're like, uh, the
- 48:12Speaker 2: first four episodes were so boring until I got there Yeah,
- 48:17Speaker 2: it's like a normal TV show thing to do. And
- 48:19Speaker 2: the first episode I still thought was really great. And
- 48:21Speaker 2: I've heard from other people that popped into Audrey's and
- 48:24Speaker 2: talked about the episode they agree it was a good
- 48:27Speaker 2: first episode. All right. Well, until next time, enjoy the
- 48:30Speaker 2: Fourth of July. People. It is the fourth of July
- 48:33Speaker 2: as we speak, So go spend some great family time.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Yay America and Independence, and have a good couple burgers
- 48:41Speaker 2: and hot dogs for us. Bye, guys, I've been Ashley.
- 48:44Speaker 3: I've been dead calculated.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Follow the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcasts on
- 48:50Speaker 1: iHeartRadio or subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts.
