- 0:09Speaker 4: Starring the one and only Candace Lopez and producer Pooh.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Billy the Kid in the morning. Once again, back is
- 0:16Speaker 1: the incredible.
- 0:16Speaker 5: Billy the Kid.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Live and local.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Billy the Kid. Billy the Kid in the morning. Where
- 0:23Speaker 1: are we going? Good morning. Welcome to your Thursday, which
- 0:28Speaker 1: feels like, wow, I mean, this week just flew by.
- 0:30Speaker 6: I know.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Holiday or something? Labor Day? It's Mix 102.9. Ability Kid,
- 0:35Speaker 1: Candice Lopez is here. Producer Poo is here. What's up, Candice?
- 0:37Speaker 2: I think I set a personal record this morning on
- 0:39Speaker 2: the way to work for the longest horn honk I've
- 0:43Speaker 2: ever done.
- 0:44Speaker 6: What? What?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah, and it just made me start thinking about how, like,
- 0:47Speaker 2: we're just living our life, minding our own business, and
- 0:50Speaker 2: we can, like, affect other people's lives, you know, without
- 0:52Speaker 2: even trying.
- 0:53Speaker 1: What did somebody do to you?
- 0:55Speaker 2: This little truck pulled right over in front of my lane, like,
- 0:58Speaker 2: right where I'm going, just right in front of me,
- 0:59Speaker 2: and I had to slam on my brakes, honk my horn.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Everything went flying, like, to the front of, like, the floorboards. Yeah,
- 1:07Speaker 2: so that happened, and, I mean, I honked my horn
- 1:09Speaker 2: probably a good 20 seconds. I mean, I was just like...
- 1:13Speaker 2: I'm coming through at this point.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Now, did he even do anything?
- 1:16Speaker 2: No, I mean, he just slowly like swerved and got
- 1:18Speaker 2: back in his lane.
- 1:19Speaker 5: Why?
- 1:20Speaker 1: Why?
- 1:21Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I don't understand people. Today I had the same thing
- 1:24Speaker 1: happen to me on Hebron. There's nobody on the road
- 1:26Speaker 1: at 4 a.m.
- 1:27Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Why do you need to cut in front of me
- 1:29Speaker 1: when there's nobody around?
- 1:31Speaker 2: This is why I laid on my horn for 20 seconds.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I don't know if he fell asleep or if he
- 1:34Speaker 2: was on his phone or what was going on. But
- 1:37Speaker 2: then I get up here to make my coffee this morning.
- 1:39Speaker 2: You know, I pack my own coffee cup every night
- 1:42Speaker 2: to bring to work. Well, it wasn't in my bag,
- 1:45Speaker 2: so I have this, you know, cardboard cup, whatever they
- 1:48Speaker 2: offer in the kitchen, because I guess my coffee cup
- 1:52Speaker 2: went flying out of my bag when this happened. So
- 1:54Speaker 2: it's in the floorboard somewhere, and I just didn't realize it.
- 1:57Speaker 1: That's funny. Well, I'm sorry that happened. That's funny because
- 1:59Speaker 1: I brought my own coffee cup today.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Oh, good job.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Which I never do.
- 2:02Speaker 6: I know.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Weird.
- 2:04Speaker 6: I know.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I always stop. because I just go to racetrack every morning.
- 2:07Speaker 1: But I'm like, I'm sick of going to racetrack every
- 2:09Speaker 1: morning and spending money on coffee, so I'm going to
- 2:11Speaker 1: make it before I go.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yeah, but if you take your own cup, then they
- 2:14Speaker 2: don't charge you for the cup. It's, like, way cheaper.
- 2:16Speaker 2: And sometimes they give it to you for free. Remember
- 2:17Speaker 2: when I was going to QT, I was taking my
- 2:19Speaker 2: own cup?
- 2:19Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 2:20Speaker 2: That's why they were giving me free coffee, because I
- 2:21Speaker 2: was bringing my own cup.
- 2:22Speaker 1: They're like, whatever. I know, Candace, but that doesn't happen
- 2:25Speaker 1: to us.
- 2:26Speaker 6: Oh.
- 2:26Speaker 1: They see you, and they're like, oh, free coffee. She's
- 2:28Speaker 1: so cute. Yeah. Me, they're like, charge that guy double.
- 2:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Try it.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Charge him double.
- 2:34Speaker 2: You also have a 20-ounce cup. I have like an 8-ounce.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I know, but I made that at home.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Oh.
- 2:39Speaker 1: And I brought it from home.
- 2:40Speaker 2: What?
- 2:41Speaker 1: I know.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Are you okay?
- 2:42Speaker 1: I'm a homemaker.
- 2:43Speaker 7: Wow.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Look at you.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I know. He ain't never done that. I saved $ 1.
- 2:46Speaker 6: 80 today.
- 2:49Speaker 2: It adds up over time.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I know, and then I thought to myself, what a pain, though.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I was just like, this is throwing my whole routine off.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Totally.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Waiting under the Keurig for, ugh, either way.
- 2:59Speaker 6: Right.
- 2:59Speaker 1: All right, Producer Pooh, what's up with you?
- 3:01Speaker 7: Man, yesterday I went to go support my son, go
- 3:03Speaker 7: watch his football game. How about the concession stand was closed?
- 3:07Speaker 7: So I went to the grocery store.
- 3:08Speaker 1: It's a Wednesday. Of course it's closed.
- 3:10Speaker 2: No, it shouldn't be. But if there's a game, it
- 3:12Speaker 2: should be. Of course a booster club. Yeah.
- 3:14Speaker 7: All they had was the Raggedy. Well, no, it's good.
- 3:17Speaker 7: Kona Ice was there.
- 3:19Speaker 1: And that was it.
- 3:20Speaker 7: So I went to the little Tom Thumb. Bought me
- 3:22Speaker 7: some watermelon slices and some pineapple slices.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Well, that's what you should be doing anyway.
- 3:26Speaker 7: And some meat jerky. Got there to watch the game.
- 3:29Speaker 7: By the way, they got blown out. But my son
- 3:31Speaker 7: did good. But the watermelon slices, if you get the
- 3:34Speaker 7: pre-cut slices.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Terrible. You can't do that.
- 3:38Speaker 7: I was so mad. I was like, man, I should
- 3:40Speaker 7: have just got a watermelon, cut it up, and then
- 3:42Speaker 7: did it. You don't have all that time, though. I know,
- 3:44Speaker 7: I don't have that time, but I was like, golly,
- 3:47Speaker 7: I'm sneaking in snacks like I'm... At the movies or something.
- 3:49Speaker 2: You shouldn't have to sneak them in if they're not
- 3:51Speaker 2: selling any. You should have just sold it. Open your
- 3:53Speaker 2: own concession stand.
- 3:54Speaker 1: You should have, Pooh. Yeah, I was so mad. I
- 3:56Speaker 1: thought that's what you were going to say. Well, you
- 3:58Speaker 1: shouldn't be having concession stand food for dinner. But I'm
- 4:01Speaker 1: not going to go there. Yeah, I know. People are like,
- 4:03Speaker 1: you pick on Pooh. Well, Pooh told him, told all
- 4:06Speaker 1: of us, hey, keep me responsible so I don't eat back. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:09Speaker 1: you're not picking on me, but... I'm saying. What were
- 4:12Speaker 1: you going to eat at the concession stand? Really? Nachos. Nachos.
- 4:16Speaker 6: No.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Why not?
- 4:17Speaker 2: I know Poo's move.
- 4:18Speaker 6: You're not eight.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Nachos. Yeah, but I didn't get no Sour Patch Kids.
- 4:22Speaker 7: I would have just got nachos and a water.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You don't get credit for not getting Sour Patch Kids
- 4:27Speaker 1: on a Wednesday night. We're grown-ups.
- 4:31Speaker 7: I haven't had candy in a long time. I be
- 4:33Speaker 7: getting the Twitch, and I still don't, you know, I'm
- 4:36Speaker 7: addicted to Sour Patch Kids.
- 4:36Speaker 1: What's the Twitch? Twix? Yeah, the Twitch. Oh, you get
- 4:39Speaker 1: a Twix.
- 4:39Speaker 7: I get the Twix like a crackhead for Sour Patch Kids,
- 4:43Speaker 7: and I haven't had it.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I'm staying true. Well, yeah, but you're eating nachos. Yeah,
- 4:49Speaker 1: I got to fill my belly with something. I've had
- 4:50Speaker 1: no Sour Patch Kids, but let me tell you something.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I've eaten about 13 bags of nachos. Oh, man, poo.
- 5:00Speaker 6: God.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yesterday, I got two watermelons, and we're getting to that
- 5:02Speaker 1: sad time of the year where it's not watermelon season.
- 5:05Speaker 1: That's probably why mine was bad. Yeah, you were. Because
- 5:08Speaker 1: you know you've got to check the butthole on the watermelons. Yeah,
- 5:12Speaker 1: we know. And they're getting big.
- 5:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Uh-oh. You've got to look for the small one.
- 5:16Speaker 7: Right, right.
- 5:17Speaker 1: The small butthole on the watermelon.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And right now, it's not good. I bought two yesterday,
- 5:24Speaker 1: and I cut one open. I was like, oh, this
- 5:26Speaker 1: is trash.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's September. I mean, you can't.
- 5:29Speaker 1: But what am I going to eat, Ken? It's all
- 5:30Speaker 1: I eat is steak and watermelon.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Well, you've got to move on to something seasonal.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Pumpkin.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Nachos and Sour Patch Kids.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:36Speaker 1: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 5:39Speaker 1: Kid in the morning.
- 5:40Speaker 6: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 5:42Speaker 1: All right, Candace Lopez, what is happening?
- 5:45Speaker 2: Well, Arlington police say their major highway crackdown over Labor
- 5:48Speaker 2: Day weekend ended in nearly 50 arrests and over 350
- 5:52Speaker 2: traffic stops. So if you got pulled over in Arlington
- 5:55Speaker 2: over the last few days, this was part of Operation Shield.
- 5:58Speaker 2: The goal is to target impaired and aggressive drivers. They
- 6:02Speaker 2: say they stopped 19 drivers for going over 100 miles
- 6:06Speaker 2: per hour with this operation. Yeah, and then the highest
- 6:09Speaker 2: recorded speed was 112 miles per hour.
- 6:12Speaker 1: That must have been you.
- 6:13Speaker 2: No, no, I was not in Arlington.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I promise. You on 30.
- 6:16Speaker 6: No. 112?
- 6:16Speaker 1: I'm not going 112.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Leadfoot Lopez. I'm doing my thing out there, but that's dangerous.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I'm doing my thing out there. No, that's incredibly dangerous.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah. So if you're seeing, you know, more police, these
- 6:33Speaker 2: operations we're starting to hear of all summer, Operation Crackdown,
- 6:37Speaker 2: Operation Shield. But apparently they're working. So that's good news.
- 6:40Speaker 6: Good.
- 6:40Speaker 1: You got to be careful. I mean, Arlington's tough anyway.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I feel like there's certain cities you just don't speed in.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Like Arlington.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Arlington. Small cities, you know, never speed in a small city.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I'll tell you right now, Irving don't play. No, they don't. Grapevine, police.
- 6:56Speaker 2: You know, last time I went to Rowlett, they don't
- 6:59Speaker 2: play either because they got good hiding places over there. Yes,
- 7:02Speaker 2: they do. Yeah, over by the lake?
- 7:04Speaker 1: Yeah, they'll hide.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Off 66.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yeah. They'll hide, and you're like, all of a sudden,
- 7:07Speaker 1: you're passing them at 112 like you.
- 7:10Speaker 6: No.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Guys, Apple officially unveiled its first ever foldable iPhone yesterday,
- 7:16Speaker 2: the iPhone Duo. So it opens from 5.4 inches to
- 7:20Speaker 2: a 7.6 inch inner screen. It's designed to look and
- 7:23Speaker 2: feel like an iPad. We were going over some of
- 7:26Speaker 2: these rumors yesterday about what was going to come of
- 7:28Speaker 2: the Apple event yesterday. It's going to come in two colors,
- 7:32Speaker 2: star white and dark sky. It'll be available for pre-order
- 7:35Speaker 2: starting October 16th. It's priced at $ 19. 99, and the phones
- 7:39Speaker 2: will start shipping October 23rd. Did you see it? How
- 7:42Speaker 2: do you feel about it?
- 7:43Speaker 1: I mean, I liked it.
- 7:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:45Speaker 1: You know, I don't know if I need it. Do
- 7:46Speaker 1: I need it? No.
- 7:47Speaker 6: Right.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I thought to myself, would I want this? I just
- 7:49Speaker 1: don't like change.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah, same.
- 7:51Speaker 1: So I don't know if I'd want to get used
- 7:53Speaker 1: to a foldable phone. I don't know if I need
- 7:54Speaker 1: a bigger screen.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. I thought to myself, like, so now people
- 7:58Speaker 2: can really see what I'm doing on my phone if
- 8:00Speaker 2: I just open it up.
- 8:02Speaker 1: But I mean, then again, like my friend Danny, who
- 8:04Speaker 1: has one, you know, he doesn't have the iPhone, but
- 8:07Speaker 1: he has the Android version.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 1: When he unfolds that thing and shows me a video,
- 8:11Speaker 1: I'm like, dang. Dang, that is nice. No, it is cool.
- 8:13Speaker 2: He showed me some videos on there before, too, and
- 8:15Speaker 2: I was like, cool, but not for me. That's a
- 8:16Speaker 2: Danny thing. Like, that's the high-tech people who are, like,
- 8:19Speaker 2: really into that.
- 8:20Speaker 1: That's true.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think I need it, though, which is good.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Well, I might need a new phone, though, because mine's
- 8:24Speaker 1: already slowing down.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Well, yeah, there's always the 18, I guess. 18 Pro Max.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I guess.
- 8:30Speaker 2: There you go. Guys, real quick, the Jonas Brothers will
- 8:33Speaker 2: be the halftime performers tonight at the 49ers and Rams game.
- 8:37Speaker 2: The game is being played in Australia tonight. It's going
- 8:39Speaker 2: to be shown exclusively on Netflix. So kickoff tonight is
- 8:44Speaker 2: like 7.30. 7.30.
- 8:45Speaker 1: What time would it be in Australia?
- 8:47Speaker 2: It's going to be like 10-something in the morning. I
- 8:49Speaker 2: guess 10.30 in the morning there, which good for them
- 8:52Speaker 2: for being like, cool, yeah, y'all just do it whenever
- 8:54Speaker 2: you want. It makes sense for the American audience.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I mean, it's kind of cool that they do these
- 8:58Speaker 1: games in other places.
- 8:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You know, I think that's kind of fun. I wish
- 9:01Speaker 1: I could go to one because I'd love to see, like,
- 9:02Speaker 1: an NFL game in Australia.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. But people, you know, still talking about
- 9:07Speaker 2: these games being exclusively on streamers like Netflix and stuff
- 9:11Speaker 2: like that.
- 9:11Speaker 1: That's annoying.
- 9:12Speaker 2: It's really hard to keep up with where to watch stuff.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Yeah, one's on Paramount, one's on Amazon, one's on Prime. Well,
- 9:17Speaker 1: you know, I'm like, just... It used to be where
- 9:20Speaker 1: it's like, okay, here, it's on TV.
- 9:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Now I get rid of cable because I'm trying to
- 9:24Speaker 1: save money, and I have 15,000 stream things that I
- 9:28Speaker 1: need to keep up with, and I'm spending more on
- 9:29Speaker 1: this than cable.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Yeah, 100%. Well, Netflix is your go-to tonight if you
- 9:33Speaker 2: want some NFL, guys. I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your
- 9:35Speaker 2: Texas Top Stories.
- 9:37Speaker 1: It's billy the kid candace lopez producer poo we got
- 9:40Speaker 1: four pack of tickets to the fort worth stock show

- 10:04Speaker 1: Have you ever milked a goat?
- 10:06Speaker 6: Oh, not yet.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Have you ever milked a cow? No, no. I'm surprised.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I thought everyone in Forney has milked a cow.
- 10:16Speaker 5: No, but they look like we have, huh?
- 10:18Speaker 6: No.
- 10:19Speaker 1: No, I love 40. Well, thank you so much. What
- 10:22Speaker 1: are you doing right now? Are you going to work
- 10:23Speaker 1: or just chilling, relaxing?
- 10:24Speaker 3: Well, I work at home.
- 10:26Speaker 5: I have an in-home daycare business.
- 10:29Speaker 6: Oh.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Oh, awesome. So you got to take care of all
- 10:31Speaker 1: those kids this morning.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. I'm not ready for my day.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Well, good luck. Are they real young kids?
- 10:38Speaker 5: Yes, yes. I do infants.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 10:41Speaker 1: You got your hands full. Well, thank you, and we
- 10:44Speaker 1: appreciate you listening. And if you need help with those kids,
- 10:46Speaker 1: call someone, but don't call me.
- 10:48Speaker 6: No.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Okay. I'm just kidding. You call me. I know how
- 10:54Speaker 1: to get a baby to sleep. I know how to
- 10:56Speaker 1: change some diapers.
- 10:56Speaker 5: I bet you do.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Change poos every morning.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I bet you do.
- 11:01Speaker 1: You hang on, Christina. Thank you. Okay, you ready for
- 11:03Speaker 1: real or fake news? Let's get to it. I got
- 11:05Speaker 1: three headlines. You got to tell me which one of
- 11:07Speaker 1: these is a fake story. Which one is fake? Headline
- 11:10Speaker 1: number one, ex-girlfriend arrested after filling boyfriend's, ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend's
- 11:17Speaker 1: car with 200 live crickets. Okay. Good Lord. That's a
- 11:21Speaker 1: lot of X's. Yeah. Ex-girlfriend arrested after filling his new
- 11:26Speaker 1: girlfriend's car with 200 live crickets. Okay. What the? That's
- 11:32Speaker 1: a lot. Headline number two. Man accused of stealing fire
- 11:35Speaker 1: truck from crew who showed up to fight the fire
- 11:38Speaker 1: at his house.
- 11:40Speaker 2: What?
- 11:41Speaker 1: Man accused of stealing fire truck from crew who showed
- 11:44Speaker 1: up to fight a fire at his house. Headline number three,
- 11:49Speaker 1: MMA fighter offered hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight
- 11:53Speaker 1: a chimp. Okay. MMA fighter offered hundreds of thousands of
- 11:58Speaker 1: dollars to fight a chimp. Three headlines right there. You've
- 12:02Speaker 1: got to tell me which one do you think is
- 12:03Speaker 1: the fake headline? I mean, I think I kind of know.
- 12:07Speaker 2: You do?
- 12:08Speaker 1: Well, I picked it.
- 12:09Speaker 6: Okay.
- 12:09Speaker 1: But sometimes I do these the day before and I'll forget.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Because I'm ADD. So, Candace, you want to go first
- 12:17Speaker 1: or you want to pass it to Pooh? Who wants
- 12:18Speaker 1: to pick a fake story first?
- 12:20Speaker 2: Gosh, I don't like these stories today. This is really hard.
- 12:23Speaker 2: I'm going to pass it to Pooh today. Go for it.
- 12:26Speaker 1: All right, LaPoopoo.
- 12:28Speaker 7: I'm going to go with that first story. I don't
- 12:29Speaker 7: think anybody can round up 200 crickets and throw it
- 12:32Speaker 7: in a car. What do you mean?
- 12:34Speaker 1: That's going to be hard. You go by the pet
- 12:37Speaker 1: store and buy them. You have 200. In the pet store,
- 12:40Speaker 1: it comes like six.
- 12:42Speaker 6: No.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Does it? No, you can buy hundreds. Oh, I didn't
- 12:44Speaker 1: know that. Of crickets.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Surely you could get a 50-pack.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you can. I used to do it all the time. Really?
- 12:50Speaker 1: Because I had an iguana. Oh, that's right. Yeah, you did.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Or whatever. Yeah, but a bearded dragon. I don't think
- 12:54Speaker 1: anybody got time for that, so let's go with the
- 12:56Speaker 1: first story. Lock me in. Okay. All right. Let's lock
- 12:58Speaker 1: you in. Candace Lopez, which one do you think is
- 13:01Speaker 1: the fake story?
- 13:01Speaker 6: Oh, gosh.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Lock me in for that chimp story. The last one, yeah.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Okay, you don't think anybody's fighting a chimp?
- 13:07Speaker 2: No, an MMA fighter.
- 13:08Speaker 1: We were just talking about fighting an animal, too. Yeah,
- 13:10Speaker 1: we were. Let's lock it in.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And the winner today is... Pooh.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Good job, Pooh.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I'm sure this has happened, but no. No ex-girlfriend filled...
- 13:27Speaker 1: The ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend's car with 200 live crickets.
- 13:31Speaker 6: Okay.
- 13:32Speaker 1: It's not that you can't get them, though. They're easily accessible.
- 13:35Speaker 1: That's head smart. Or go to a quick trip. You
- 13:38Speaker 1: ever see around the pubs?
- 13:41Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 13:41Speaker 1: So many crickets. Remember that summer that we were getting
- 13:43Speaker 1: bombarded by crickets?
- 13:44Speaker 2: Yeah, what was that?
- 13:46Speaker 1: I don't know, but crickets freak me out.
- 13:47Speaker 6: That's over.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I'm normally scared of crickets.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Oh, I absolutely hate crickets.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Wait, why do I hate them so bad?
- 13:52Speaker 2: Because they're unpredictable. Yeah, and they make noise. Like, who's
- 13:56Speaker 2: rubbing their legs together and making a weird noise?
- 13:59Speaker 1: Me, I actually am. It makes a weird noise when
- 14:03Speaker 1: I rub my legs together. No, it is weird. I
- 14:06Speaker 1: don't know something about crickets. All right, let's get to
- 14:08Speaker 1: the real stories. The real story is a man accused
- 14:10Speaker 1: of stealing a fire truck from a crew who showed
- 14:13Speaker 1: up to fight a fire at his house. And this
- 14:16Speaker 1: did not happen in Florida. It happened in New Hampshire.
- 14:19Speaker 1: This guy is accused of stealing his truck. Police say
- 14:21Speaker 1: 30-year-old Nestor. You can't trust a Nestor. Nestor? Nestor. As
- 14:27Speaker 1: soon as you see a Nestor, you'd be weary. Yeah.
- 14:30Speaker 6: All right.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Either way, he drove away in the truck, hit another
- 14:34Speaker 1: fire engine, ran over fire hoses, and narrowly missed three
- 14:38Speaker 1: firefighters before crashing into a wooden fence.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Geez.
- 14:41Speaker 1: He later ended up on another homeowner's lawn and allegedly
- 14:45Speaker 1: tried to get inside their house. State troopers arrested him.
- 14:49Speaker 1: After a struggle, he faces several charges including burglary and
- 14:54Speaker 1: reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon. No word on why
- 14:58Speaker 1: he stole the truck.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Wow.
- 15:01Speaker 1: And his home was destroyed by the fire.
- 15:03Speaker 6: Oh.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Because you can't fight the fire if you don't have
- 15:05Speaker 1: a truck.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Right.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Yeah, Nestor.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Kind of need that.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Nestor, you idiot.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Wow.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Some names you just can't trust. Nope. Like a Nestor.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Never even heard of that name.
- 15:14Speaker 1: You talk about unpredictable. Nestor. That's a country name. Nestor
- 15:18Speaker 1: or Kyle.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Kyle.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Kyle's are crazy.
- 15:22Speaker 6: No.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Yes, they are.
- 15:23Speaker 2: That's a totally normal name.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Kyle.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Kyle's?
- 15:26Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 15:27Speaker 1: That's the most famous name for being unpredictable and crazy.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Right now, there's a Kyle listening, drinking a white monster
- 15:33Speaker 1: energy drink, ready to run you off the road in
- 15:38Speaker 1: a Ram truck. Just rage. If that's you, I'm sorry, Kyle.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I like you. I'm just saying you're unpredictable.
- 15:44Speaker 6: All right.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Our next story, MMA fighter offered hundreds of thousands of
- 15:48Speaker 1: dollars to fight a chimp.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Seriously?
- 15:50Speaker 1: Kyle Johnson.
- 15:52Speaker 4: No.
- 15:52Speaker 1: That is his name.
- 15:53Speaker 2: No way. Are you for real?
- 15:55Speaker 1: No, it's Cole. Okay. But it should be Kyle. His
- 15:58Speaker 1: name is Cole Johnson. This is a real story. He's
- 16:00Speaker 1: been offered more than $ 500, 000 to fight a chimpanzee after
- 16:03Speaker 1: joking online that he could beat one up. His original
- 16:07Speaker 1: TikTok video went viral. It's got like 8 million views.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Now he claims that there's a group arranging the fight,
- 16:13Speaker 1: which I don't like.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Because first of all, you can't do this in the
- 16:16Speaker 1: United States.
- 16:17Speaker 2: No.
- 16:17Speaker 1: You got to do this in some crazy country because
- 16:19Speaker 1: we're not going to allow that.
- 16:20Speaker 6: Right.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Not that... If you want to be dumb enough to
- 16:23Speaker 1: fight a chimp, then go ahead because you're going to lose.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I think he's crazy. He's like, well, I know jiu-jitsu.
- 16:29Speaker 1: And this is a chimpanzee. Do you know how strong
- 16:32Speaker 1: they are?
- 16:32Speaker 6: Right.
- 16:33Speaker 1: And they don't fight fair.
- 16:35Speaker 2: No, there's no rules.
- 16:36Speaker 1: There's no rules for a chimp. They go after your... Oh. Yeah. No.
- 16:41Speaker 2: All the things.
- 16:42Speaker 1: They go after anything that's... It looks like it could
- 16:46Speaker 1: be ripped off.
- 16:46Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Okay. That's where they go after.
- 16:48Speaker 6: Wow.
- 16:49Speaker 1: That's what I heard, at least.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 16:51Speaker 1: So no word if it's going to happen, but it
- 16:53Speaker 1: shouldn't happen.
- 16:54Speaker 6: No.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I don't want it to happen. I mean, come on.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Why are we doing this?
- 16:57Speaker 1: It's animal cruelty.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:59Speaker 1: The chimp doesn't want to fight you.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:01Speaker 1: The chimp's just relaxing and chilling, but this guy would
- 17:03Speaker 1: absolutely get destroyed. Who did you say you would beat
- 17:06Speaker 1: up and fight? An animal? Oh, I said a koala.
- 17:09Speaker 1: A koala bear.
- 17:11Speaker 2: They're mean.
- 17:12Speaker 1: They're so mean.
- 17:13Speaker 2: They look cute, but they're mean.
- 17:14Speaker 1: You said you'd beat up a what?
- 17:16Speaker 2: A house cat.
- 17:17Speaker 1: A house cat.
- 17:18Speaker 2: A regular house cat. Y'all ask me.
- 17:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:22Speaker 2: It's like I just came up with this out of
- 17:23Speaker 2: the blue. You know what?
- 17:24Speaker 1: I can't believe Candace Lopez said she'd fight a house cat.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I love that. People just don't know the context.
- 17:30Speaker 6: Right.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Why does Candace want to beat up cats? No, I don't.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I like cats.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I said alligator because I feel like I could blindfold
- 17:36Speaker 1: an alligator and then hop on it if I was
- 17:39Speaker 1: in like a tree and it was walking underneath.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Right.
- 17:41Speaker 1: And I'd pounce on it, grab its snout because they
- 17:44Speaker 1: can't open their snout. They have no power. They have
- 17:46Speaker 1: all the power to chomp.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Right.
- 17:48Speaker 1: But no power to open.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 17:51Speaker 6: Right.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Duct tape it.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Me and Kyle. Yeah. Oh, boy. Mix 102.9. We got
- 18:00Speaker 1: a dirty little secret coming up at 730. You don't
- 18:03Speaker 1: want to miss this one either because, wow, the more
- 18:06Speaker 1: I'm learning about this because I ask questions before I
- 18:09Speaker 1: put them on just because, you know, you want to
- 18:11Speaker 1: make sure it's not too crazy or too wild. But
- 18:14Speaker 1: this woman, she did something she thinks that might have
- 18:17Speaker 1: caused her best friend's divorce.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Oh, what?
- 18:21Speaker 1: Big secret. We'll do that at 7.30. We got that
- 18:24Speaker 1: gas giveaway with the Gremlin coming out in about 400
- 18:28Speaker 1: bucks right now the jackpot is up to.
- 18:30Speaker 6: Good.
- 18:30Speaker 1: So we'll do that at 8.30. You know I love
- 18:32Speaker 1: a good list, though. And they asked, I love these
- 18:34Speaker 1: polls that come out. A new poll asked Americans if
- 18:37Speaker 1: they could perform some very common actions without instructions. Okay.
- 18:41Speaker 1: The top five things that people struggled with. They were like,
- 18:44Speaker 1: I don't know if I could do that without instructions.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:47Speaker 1: What do you think? If there's one thing on the list,
- 18:49Speaker 1: do you think, Candace, like without instructions, do you think people,
- 18:51Speaker 1: you know what? I don't know if I could do that.
- 18:53Speaker 2: People couldn't do it or you think they could?
- 18:55Speaker 1: Couldn't do it. Okay.
- 18:57Speaker 2: I don't think people can change a flat tire like
- 18:59Speaker 2: they say they can.
- 19:00Speaker 1: That was on the list.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Really?
- 19:01Speaker 1: That was actually on the list and I could not
- 19:03Speaker 1: believe it. I'm like, you know what? Maybe I'm old,
- 19:06Speaker 1: but I feel like that's the first thing you learn
- 19:08Speaker 1: in life. Yeah. You got to learn how to change
- 19:10Speaker 1: a tire.
- 19:11Speaker 6: Right.
- 19:11Speaker 5: That's true.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Do you know how many people do not know how
- 19:13Speaker 1: to change a flat tire?
- 19:14Speaker 2: Well, that's why I think this makes sense, because people
- 19:17Speaker 2: think they can until they can't.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Like, I don't know who could do it. Oh, I
- 19:21Speaker 1: could change a tire. I genuinely don't know.
- 19:22Speaker 7: I done had plenty of flats, and you've seen the
- 19:25Speaker 7: cars I've had. Y'all been around me.
- 19:27Speaker 1: I know, but I don't know if you do it
- 19:28Speaker 1: the right way. Oh, no, I do it. Yeah, I
- 19:31Speaker 1: do it the right way. For real, I could do it. Okay.
- 19:36Speaker 2: It seems confident.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I know Candace could.
- 19:38Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think I've ever changed a flat tire,
- 19:41Speaker 2: but I know I could do it.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I think you could.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I've been around plenty of cars and race cars.
- 19:45Speaker 1: I think you could do it. I think you would
- 19:47Speaker 1: actually do it faster than Boo. Oh, yeah, because she
- 19:50Speaker 1: comes from a car family? Yeah, no, that's what I'm saying.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I know, because she comes from a car family.
- 19:54Speaker 6: She's into cars.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:55Speaker 1: But a lot of, it's shocking how many younger men
- 19:59Speaker 1: that are like, you know, not, I don't know, under 40.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:02Speaker 1: That don't know how to change a tire.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Well, they've got YouTube at least.
- 20:06Speaker 6: You know?
- 20:06Speaker 1: They do. Something else on the list. Anything else that
- 20:10Speaker 1: you think people would not know how to do this
- 20:11Speaker 1: without instructions? Oh, gosh.
- 20:14Speaker 2: That's so tough. It's got to be, like, some type
- 20:17Speaker 2: of sewing thing. Because I just remember in Helmeck, it
- 20:20Speaker 2: was always like a.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Are you looking at my list?
- 20:22Speaker 6: No.
- 20:22Speaker 1: No.
- 20:22Speaker 2: I'm just thinking of like the top things that people
- 20:25Speaker 2: would do.
- 20:25Speaker 1: That's actually on the list.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Because I don't know how to sew.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Sewing a button is actually.
- 20:29Speaker 6: On the list.
- 20:30Speaker 1: That's easy.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I was going to say like hemming pants or something,
- 20:32Speaker 2: but a button, sure.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Sewing a button, I could sew a button.
- 20:35Speaker 6: Okay.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Without instructions?
- 20:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I could figure it out. Just go
- 20:39Speaker 2: in and out and in and out through the loops
- 20:40Speaker 2: and holes, right?
- 20:41Speaker 1: I've never sewn anything, but I mean, I could put
- 20:44Speaker 1: the thread through a needle and figure it out, right?
- 20:46Speaker 2: Yeah, but people just don't want to.
- 20:48Speaker 1: But I can obviously tie a hook onto a fishing line. Well, yeah.
- 20:51Speaker 6: Cool.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Why can't I do a needle?
- 20:53Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Yeah, it's easy.
- 20:54Speaker 1: My grandma taught me. Oh, here we go.
- 20:57Speaker 2: She did. She did.
- 20:58Speaker 1: You know how to sew?
- 21:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I am my George. Remember? I got up under a
- 21:03Speaker 1: sewing machine and did it. First of all, there's things
- 21:05Speaker 1: I never want to hear in my life.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I hemmed my jorts.
- 21:07Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I never want to hear I hemmed my jorts. Yeah.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Why would you ever.
- 21:13Speaker 7: Remember those dead jorts I had?
- 21:16Speaker 1: I hemmed them up. You're supposed to just let them fly.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I know, but I wanted to... You tried to make
- 21:21Speaker 1: your jorts classy? Yeah, I made them clean, you know?
- 21:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you did, now that I think about it.
- 21:26Speaker 7: Now, in my defense, my Aunt Terri did come back
- 21:29Speaker 7: behind me because it's been.
- 21:31Speaker 1: You know, I don't sew every day. Do you have
- 21:33Speaker 1: a sewing machine, Pooh? No, she does. There's always things
- 21:35Speaker 1: that shock me about Pooh.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I wouldn't know where to find a sewing machine in
- 21:39Speaker 2: my life right now.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Yeah, she does, but... No. Okay, what else do you
- 21:43Speaker 1: think is on the list that people don't know how
- 21:45Speaker 1: to do without instructions?
- 21:47Speaker 2: Oh, that's good.
- 21:48Speaker 1: You already guessed two. I can't believe Candace... Mow the yard. No,
- 21:52Speaker 1: mow a yard? It's got to be.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Something with cooking, like boiling eggs or water or something.
- 21:57Speaker 1: You're close. Cooking....
- 22:01Speaker 2: Oh, cooking rice. Okay.
- 22:03Speaker 1: People can't cook rice without instructions? No, without instructions.
- 22:06Speaker 2: I mean, you've got to get the ratio right.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Water? I just do it where it's like one fingertip
- 22:12Speaker 1: above the rice. Oh, really?
- 22:15Speaker 2: Okay.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how I do it. I guess.
- 22:17Speaker 2: I read the instructions on the packet.
- 22:19Speaker 6: You do? Yeah.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I eyeball it. You know what should be on the list?
- 22:23Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you right now what should be
- 22:25Speaker 1: on the list that's not on the list.
- 22:26Speaker 5: What?
- 22:27Speaker 1: Is people don't know how to do CPR. Oh, no,
- 22:30Speaker 1: for sure. Because I learned when I was a kid,
- 22:32Speaker 1: but I thought the other day, if I had to
- 22:33Speaker 1: do it right now, like if Pooh passed out right now,
- 22:36Speaker 1: and I had to give Pooh CPR, he's a goner.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Call an Addison PD or whatever.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I don't know if I know how to do it.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Do you know how to do it at Pooh?
- 22:45Speaker 2: No, I couldn't do it.
- 22:46Speaker 1: If Pooh passed out right now, what do you do?
- 22:49Speaker 2: We're calling 911. We've got to learn.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Yeah. We do need to learn it. I'm going to
- 22:53Speaker 1: tell you right now, though. If I pass out, Pooh,
- 22:55Speaker 1: let me die.
- 22:57Speaker 6: Wow.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Before you give me mouth-to-mouth.
- 22:59Speaker 6: No.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I'm going to save you. If I wake up and
- 23:01Speaker 1: the first thing I see is Pooh, his big mouth
- 23:04Speaker 1: coming down on me. I'm going to do chest compressions first.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Is that what you do? Yeah. Oh, this is bad.
- 23:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:13Speaker 1: But I don't know it. And everybody should know the Heimlich, too.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we've seen it on TV so many times on, like,
- 23:18Speaker 2: our shows that we feel like we could do CPR.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Yeah, well, Boo, I mean, watched so much Grey's Anatomy,
- 23:23Speaker 1: he thinks he's a doctor.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Right, and there's always this song that comes out. They're like,
- 23:26Speaker 2: if you ever have to do CPR, do it to
- 23:27Speaker 2: this song, and then you'll be doing the beats per
- 23:29Speaker 2: minute like the right, like Taylor Swift or whatever.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Yeah, shake it off or something.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:34Speaker 1: He was going to shake it off?
- 23:35Speaker 2: Probably.
- 23:36Speaker 7: Have you seen that tool that's on Instagram and TikTok
- 23:39Speaker 7: where if somebody's choking, you're supposed to put it in
- 23:42Speaker 7: their mouth and it just like sucks the.
- 23:44Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 2: We have one of those at home.
- 23:45Speaker 1: You do? Yeah. What's it called?
- 23:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Oh, I don't know what it's called, but we have
- 23:49Speaker 2: it just in case.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Where do you keep it?
- 23:50Speaker 2: Yeah, just in the pantry.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I had to eat my son the Heimlich one time.
- 23:54Speaker 6: I know.
- 23:54Speaker 2: You told me.
- 23:55Speaker 1: And literally saved his life.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Was he choking on a donut?
- 23:57Speaker 1: He was choking on a donut.
- 23:59Speaker 6: Oh.
- 24:00Speaker 1: And he came downstairs, and he was pointing, and I'm like, what?
- 24:03Speaker 1: And I just happened to remember. Yeah. But I'm alone
- 24:05Speaker 1: a lot, so I always worry that I'm going to
- 24:07Speaker 1: have some kind of issue. And I have to do
- 24:10Speaker 1: the Heimlich on myself, like on a chair. Yeah. A chair? Yeah,
- 24:14Speaker 1: that's how they do it. Candace, this is my biggest fear,
- 24:17Speaker 1: and she's cracking up.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Is this the movement you just did, like, on the
- 24:21Speaker 2: counter here? Like, how you were going to do it?
- 24:22Speaker 1: Well, I'm always scared that I'm alone. I'm going to
- 24:24Speaker 1: die alone. And I say that, and she starts cracking up. Oh,
- 24:29Speaker 1: Billie choking alone.
- 24:33Speaker 2: You're falling, and you can't get up.
- 24:35Speaker 1: You put yourself against a chair and throw yourself into
- 24:38Speaker 1: the chair.
- 24:38Speaker 2: This is what's funny is the movement. It looks like WWE,
- 24:42Speaker 2: what you're doing.
- 24:42Speaker 1: You two are awful. If I choke, don't. Just give
- 24:46Speaker 1: me a chair. I don't need your help.
- 24:47Speaker 2: You look like you're doing a wrestling move.
- 24:49Speaker 1: That's why. Just yeet.
- 24:51Speaker 2: You know what?
- 24:52Speaker 1: You just put your chest under, right under your chest,
- 24:54Speaker 1: and you just.
- 24:56Speaker 6: Right.
- 24:56Speaker 1: And then the donut will pop out.
- 24:58Speaker 2: And then you put him in a headlock.
- 25:00Speaker 3: The new Mix 102.9.
- 25:02Speaker 1: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 25:05Speaker 1: Kid in the Morning.
- 25:06Speaker 6: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 25:08Speaker 1: We have our great Gremlin Gas gift card giveaway. That
- 25:12Speaker 1: happens at 8.30. Right around 8.30 we'll do it. The
- 25:15Speaker 1: jackpot is up to $ 400. So if you win $ 400,
- 25:18Speaker 1: you just got to say Mix 102.9, great Gremlin Gas
- 25:22Speaker 1: gift card giveaway five times fast and not mess up.
- 25:26Speaker 1: And it is difficult. So, yeah, Candace Lopez, what is
- 25:29Speaker 1: going on?
- 25:30Speaker 2: Well, it's just a chance, but we're going to take it, guys.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Low chances for rain this afternoon and evening, really to
- 25:35Speaker 2: the northwest of the Metroplex. But scattered rain and a
- 25:37Speaker 2: few storms are possible for some people. Some people.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I have a feeling it will not be us.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Yeah, same. I know, but just a heads up. Real quick, guys,
- 25:47Speaker 2: the Dallas Mavericks have started the zoning change process for
- 25:50Speaker 2: building that new arena and entertainment district in far north Dallas.
- 25:54Speaker 2: So this is, of course, the old Valley View Mall
- 25:57Speaker 2: site off Preston and 635. This would cover 104 acres
- 26:01Speaker 2: in the area, but that goal is to move into
- 26:03Speaker 2: a new arena. By 2031, when the lease at the
- 26:07Speaker 2: AAC ends. But, yeah, they're moving forward. I mean, zoning
- 26:10Speaker 2: requests are in. So, yeah, it looks like this thing
- 26:13Speaker 2: could be a done deal.
- 26:14Speaker 6: I know.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Well, there was a news headline last week that said, oh,
- 26:17Speaker 1: Mavs and Stars have agreed to stay at American Airlines Center.
- 26:20Speaker 5: Right.
- 26:21Speaker 1: And some people thought that meant forever.
- 26:22Speaker 6: No.
- 26:23Speaker 1: No, that just meant they agreed to not sue each other.
- 26:25Speaker 1: And they were fighting over how to use it.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Over the next five years.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Over the next five years. They're still leaving.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Yeah, no, for sure.
- 26:31Speaker 1: And the Stars are still going to Willow Bend. which
- 26:34Speaker 1: Willow Bend is now completely closed. You can still go
- 26:37Speaker 1: and walk there, though. I did learn that.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Oh, you can mall walk still?
- 26:39Speaker 1: You can still mall walk.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Oh, that's good.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Shout out to all the older people who are like,
- 26:43Speaker 1: I have nowhere to walk in the heat. You can
- 26:45Speaker 1: still go to Willow Bend, Pooh. Perfect spot. So there's
- 26:48Speaker 1: still a spot to walk, but all the shops are
- 26:51Speaker 1: going to be closed. Okay, good to know.
- 26:53Speaker 2: You guys want some food news this morning?
- 26:55Speaker 6: Yes.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Wingstop is celebrating football season starting with their Wing Pass.
- 27:00Speaker 2: So this is a limited edition subscription where you'll get
- 27:04Speaker 2: 18 consecutive weeks of watch party bundles. So this is
- 27:08Speaker 2: like 20 wings, fries, and ranch. You'll get this for
- 27:12Speaker 2: the price of $ 27.
- 27:12Speaker 6: 99.
- 27:12Speaker 2: This is kind of like that Olive Garden Pass that
- 27:17Speaker 2: went up for sale, but there's only going to be
- 27:20Speaker 2: 100 of these available. So if you have a chance...
- 27:23Speaker 2: Today they go on sale at noon on Wingstop's website.
- 27:28Speaker 1: So wait, it's $ 27 for 18 bundles of wings?
- 27:30Speaker 2: 18 weeks, yeah. So it's 20 wings, fries and ranch.
- 27:33Speaker 2: You'll get a digital voucher that comes to your app
- 27:35Speaker 2: every Sunday morning during the NFL regular season.
- 27:39Speaker 1: See, this is brilliant because, yeah, it's $ 27 for 18
- 27:41Speaker 1: weeks of wings. Right. It's the best advertising ever because
- 27:46Speaker 1: we're talking about it.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and only 100 people will actually get it.
- 27:49Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:51Speaker 1: So, I mean, what are the chances of being one
- 27:53Speaker 1: of those 100 people to get it?
- 27:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 27:56Speaker 1: A million to one. I'm not going to try.
- 27:58Speaker 2: You're not going to try?
- 27:59Speaker 6: No.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Did you try for the Olive Garden Pass?
- 28:01Speaker 1: Candace, no. Come on.
- 28:04Speaker 2: It was a big deal.
- 28:05Speaker 1: I would never. Yeah, I did. But no, I didn't.
- 28:07Speaker 1: I didn't get it.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Were you sitting in the queue for like 15 minutes?
- 28:10Speaker 2: Was that you?
- 28:10Speaker 1: I'm not above it.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 28:12Speaker 1: But it wasn't me.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Okay.
- 28:13Speaker 1: That was poo. No. Actually, my sister tried for the
- 28:16Speaker 1: Olive Garden thing.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Did she?
- 28:17Speaker 1: Yeah. She didn't get in there, though.
- 28:19Speaker 2: No luck.
- 28:20Speaker 6: Oh.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Well, good luck today if you're trying to get the
- 28:21Speaker 2: Wingstop wing pass. Guys, we have a huge tour announcement.
- 28:25Speaker 2: This just happened minutes ago.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Are you ready for this? Should I get a drum roll?
- 28:29Speaker 2: Yeah, please. Harry Styles is coming to the Metroplex. Yeah.
- 28:36Speaker 2: So he just announced more tour dates for his Together
- 28:38Speaker 2: Together tour. So he's going to be here April 9th
- 28:41Speaker 2: and 10th. This is happening at AT & T Stadium.
- 28:44Speaker 1: That's huge.
- 28:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Very huge announcement. We are going to have tickets for
- 28:48Speaker 2: you before they go on sale. So keep an eye
- 28:50Speaker 2: on our Instagram at Mix 1029 FM. Of course, we'll
- 28:54Speaker 2: be giving them away on the air. But he made
- 28:56Speaker 2: this post yesterday saying, that had people worried, saying, I
- 29:00Speaker 2: don't know what comes next for me, but I know
- 29:01Speaker 2: I'm excited to find out being an artist is the
- 29:04Speaker 2: only thing I've ever known, really. He says he's been
- 29:07Speaker 2: doing this since he was 16, and that was pretty
- 29:09Speaker 2: much it. So people are speculating now, is he going
- 29:11Speaker 2: to go off and get married, become a dad, all
- 29:14Speaker 2: of that stuff, and take a break from music? Is
- 29:16Speaker 2: he retiring? We don't know.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Is he married yet or no? He's about to get married.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Not yet, as far as I know.
- 29:21Speaker 1: To Zoe Kravitz, right? Right.
- 29:23Speaker 3: Wow.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Okay. I thought they were already married. I don't know why.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I can't keep track.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Maybe they secretly got married.
- 29:27Speaker 1: That's what people were saying.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Or maybe the engagement was secret.
- 29:29Speaker 1: But either way, that's huge that he's coming here. He
- 29:31Speaker 1: puts on such an incredible show.
- 29:33Speaker 6: He does.
- 29:33Speaker 2: It's going to be a great time. He's been playing
- 29:35Speaker 2: Madison Square Garden for a while, but look forward to that.
- 29:38Speaker 2: And stay tuned. We're going to be giving away those tickets.
- 29:40Speaker 2: soon online. So at Mix 1029 FM, I'm Candace Lopez.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 29:45Speaker 3: The new Mix 102.9.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Got a dirty little secret coming up next on Mix 102.9.
- 29:52Speaker 1: About to do the banger as well. It's Billy the Kid,
- 29:55Speaker 1: Candace Lopez. Producer Poo is here. This kind of shocked me, though,
- 29:58Speaker 1: because I couldn't believe this. These experts are talking about
- 30:01Speaker 1: one thing that could actually be an indicator on whether
- 30:04Speaker 1: you'll last as a couple or not.
- 30:05Speaker 5: Okay.
- 30:06Speaker 1: You won't believe what it is. One thing that can
- 30:09Speaker 1: change your future as a couple, and it has to
- 30:13Speaker 1: do with eating.
- 30:14Speaker 6: Eating.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Any ideas, any guesses what it might be? Experts say
- 30:18Speaker 1: this could be a deal breaker in your relationship.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Oh, gosh. I don't know. Sharing the food? Dietary preferences.
- 30:26Speaker 6: Nope.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Nope.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Allergies.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Nope.
- 30:30Speaker 2: The size of your portion.
- 30:31Speaker 1: The speed that you eat.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Oh.
- 30:33Speaker 1: The speed that you eat. Experts are saying could actually
- 30:37Speaker 1: be an indicator on whether you're going to last as
- 30:39Speaker 1: a couple. So if one person is scarfing down food,
- 30:42Speaker 1: the other person is, you know, super slow. They're saying
- 30:45Speaker 1: that they've done research that shows you live two different ways.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Okay, but isn't that the good thing sometimes?
- 30:52Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 30:52Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Look at me. I'm single. So what would I know?
- 30:55Speaker 2: Do you eat fast or slow?
- 30:57Speaker 1: I eat super fast.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Okay.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Super fast. And Candace, you are a super slow eater.
- 31:03Speaker 2: But I feel like all men eat fast.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Well, have you seen the videos of the girlfriends and
- 31:08Speaker 1: wives trying to match their husband's pace of eating? You
- 31:11Speaker 1: need to do that with Eric. Well, let's see. Eric,
- 31:13Speaker 1: does he eat slow or fast?
- 31:15Speaker 2: He eats pretty fast. Pretty fast. Yeah.
- 31:17Speaker 1: But I think I eat fast because of what I've
- 31:19Speaker 1: done for a living for so long. We don't have
- 31:20Speaker 1: time to eat.
- 31:21Speaker 6: Right.
- 31:22Speaker 1: So if I'm eating, I've got to eat between songs
- 31:24Speaker 1: or commercials or whatever, and I've got to eat fast.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Right, you've got three minutes.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I've got to eat real fast. But now you
- 31:28Speaker 1: know whether it's going to be an indicator or not
- 31:30Speaker 1: whether you last, which is weird. Get it off your chest.
- 31:36Speaker 5: It's Dirty Little Secret with Billy the Kid in the
- 31:38Speaker 5: Morning on Mix 102.9.
- 31:40Speaker 3: Brought to you by Mint Dentistry.
- 31:42Speaker 1: If you've got a secret, let's go. Don't forget, 8.30,
- 31:44Speaker 1: we've got that gas giveaway. Our gremlin is on the loose.
- 31:48Speaker 1: You've just got to say this. Mix 102.9, great Gremlin
- 31:52Speaker 1: Gas gift card giveaway, five times fast.
- 31:53Speaker 6: It's easy.
- 31:54Speaker 2: That was good.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Yeah, not too bad, right?
- 31:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:56Speaker 1: If you do, you're going to get $ 400. The jackpot
- 31:58Speaker 1: is up to $ 400 right now.
- 31:59Speaker 2: 830.
- 31:59Speaker 1: All right, dirty little secret. Here we go. If you
- 32:02Speaker 1: got one, confess anytime you want at 833-787-1029. Dirty little secret.
- 32:09Speaker 1: What is going on?
- 32:10Speaker 5: Well, I have a secret involving my best friend, and
- 32:14Speaker 5: she's got a lot going on in her life right now,
- 32:16Speaker 5: and I'm just kind of struggling with it. if I
- 32:18Speaker 5: did the right thing or not.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Okay.
- 32:20Speaker 6: What'd you do?
- 32:20Speaker 5: Um, well, she's been, um, really struggling with the fact
- 32:25Speaker 5: that she isn't able to have children. Um, eventually she
- 32:29Speaker 5: and her husband, they decided they wanted to adopt, but
- 32:32Speaker 5: the problem was her husband was just a complete.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Oh, really? Her husband was, so he's not, he wasn't
- 32:40Speaker 1: not the best guy.
- 32:42Speaker 5: Not at all. Like none of us ever approved of him. Right.
- 32:46Speaker 5: I mean, but you would you would never know it
- 32:48Speaker 5: meeting him like he's one of those guys like everybody
- 32:51Speaker 5: in his little friend circle. Everybody loves him and, you know,
- 32:54Speaker 5: great career, great family, charming, all that. But behind closed doors,
- 32:59Speaker 5: like he's a completely different person. He's a womanizer, verbally
- 33:03Speaker 5: abusive to her and just their relationship always been kind
- 33:06Speaker 5: of on the verge of falling apart. And she just
- 33:10Speaker 5: genuinely believed that adopting a baby with him might bring
- 33:14Speaker 5: them closer together.
- 33:15Speaker 1: That's pretty common. I mean, not as far as adopting,
- 33:18Speaker 1: but like if we have a kid, that'll fix things.
- 33:21Speaker 1: In this case, if they adopt. So did they or
- 33:24Speaker 1: how did it go down?
- 33:25Speaker 5: They started the process of it. So like one day,
- 33:29Speaker 5: completely unexpectedly, I got a phone call from a woman
- 33:32Speaker 5: checking their references that they had to put down for
- 33:36Speaker 5: the adoption application. And at first I'm saying, you know,
- 33:40Speaker 5: all the things you expect. She's an amazing mother. She
- 33:43Speaker 5: would be an amazing mother. And then something inside me
- 33:46Speaker 5: just stopped. And I just remember thinking, like, I am
- 33:50Speaker 5: lying to this person right now. And it was just
- 33:55Speaker 5: killing me. And the woman was asking me whether I
- 33:58Speaker 5: believed a child should be placed inside this home. And
- 34:01Speaker 5: I just know what happens inside the house. And I
- 34:04Speaker 5: just broke down and I just had to tell her
- 34:07Speaker 5: the truth.
- 34:08Speaker 1: You did.
- 34:08Speaker 5: I told her that my best friend would be an
- 34:12Speaker 5: incredible mother on her own, but I just did not
- 34:14Speaker 5: believe their marriage was really a healthy environment for a child.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Did you really? Okay.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. I mean... Wow. I respect that.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I do, too. But that's your best friend, though.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Yeah, but.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Yeah, but, poo, it's a child. Children need to be protected.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:32Speaker 1: And you can't go into an environment that's toxic... And, yeah,
- 34:38Speaker 1: so I could see why you would struggle with lying
- 34:41Speaker 1: about something so important. Yeah, I think anyone would.
- 34:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:44Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I was, you know, thinking about the
- 34:47Speaker 5: child first. And I was like, I can't just lie
- 34:49Speaker 5: and say everything's perfect. And so I just told her everything. Yeah,
- 34:52Speaker 5: and I just knew, like, the second I hung up,
- 34:54Speaker 5: I was like, oh, my goodness, I have probably completely
- 34:57Speaker 5: destroyed their chances. Sure enough, I did. That adoption didn't happen.
- 35:01Speaker 5: The application didn't get approved, and my best friend called
- 35:05Speaker 5: me just absolutely devastated. She was crying and asking if
- 35:10Speaker 5: the agency had contacted me. I straight up lied to
- 35:13Speaker 5: her and just told her, like, yes, they called. I
- 35:16Speaker 5: gave you guys an amazing reference. And I have no
- 35:20Speaker 5: idea what happened. This is the worst part. That was
- 35:22Speaker 5: almost two years ago.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Okay.
- 35:24Speaker 5: I've been hanging on to that for two years. And
- 35:27Speaker 5: where it's become really hard for me is they're divorced now.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Oh, they're done.
- 35:34Speaker 5: Yeah. Thank goodness. But yeah, their marriage just eventually fell apart.
- 35:38Speaker 5: And exactly like I was afraid it would. And her ex,
- 35:43Speaker 5: he just moved on right away. So fast. He's already remarried.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Yeah.
- 35:49Speaker 5: And now him and his new wife are expecting a baby.
- 35:53Speaker 3: No.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Oh, that's awful. That is going to mess with her
- 35:56Speaker 1: so bad. That is going to destroy. That's got to
- 36:00Speaker 1: be so tough on her. I can't even imagine.
- 36:03Speaker 5: It's awful. She's so destroyed about it. The one thing
- 36:07Speaker 5: she wanted more than anything in the world was to
- 36:09Speaker 5: have a baby. And now I'm sitting next to her
- 36:12Speaker 5: while she's crying and I'm comforting her, knowing that I'm
- 36:15Speaker 5: the person that stopped her from having that chance of
- 36:18Speaker 5: becoming a mother.
- 36:18Speaker 3: No.
- 36:18Speaker 5: And it just eats me alive every day.
- 36:22Speaker 1: See, you're not, though. And maybe I did. You're not
- 36:25Speaker 1: the person who stopped her. Her relationship stopped her. He
- 36:28Speaker 1: stopped her.
- 36:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I obviously was trying to do the
- 36:31Speaker 5: right thing for the child, but, you know, obviously they
- 36:34Speaker 5: probably would have still gotten a divorce either way. I
- 36:37Speaker 5: know she would have been a great mom. I'll just
- 36:38Speaker 5: never know if I truly did the right thing.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Candace, what would you have done?
- 36:43Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think you did anything wrong. I mean,
- 36:46Speaker 2: she probably would have wanted the baby in a healthy marriage,
- 36:49Speaker 2: not on her own anyways.
- 36:51Speaker 6: Right.
- 36:51Speaker 2: You know what I mean? If this was her dream,
- 36:53Speaker 2: I don't know her, but.
- 36:54Speaker 1: I'm not saying she couldn't have done it on her own.
- 36:56Speaker 1: I'm sure she could have.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and she still could.
- 36:58Speaker 1: And she still could if she wanted to, but that
- 37:00Speaker 1: was not the situation. And that person who's a professional
- 37:03Speaker 1: asked you very specific questions.
- 37:05Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 37:05Speaker 1: For you to tell the truth, and you did just that,
- 37:07Speaker 1: and they made the call, not you.
- 37:10Speaker 6: Right.
- 37:10Speaker 2: It wasn't about her. It was about him.
- 37:11Speaker 7: Yeah, but she prompted it. For me, it's my best friend.
- 37:15Speaker 7: I don't think I would have done it. I wouldn't
- 37:17Speaker 7: have told on her.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Well, then you're doing a disservice to your best friend, too.
- 37:21Speaker 1: I think. Honestly, it wasn't best for her in that situation.
- 37:24Speaker 1: It wasn't.
- 37:25Speaker 6: No.
- 37:26Speaker 1: So you're just lying for a friend for no reason.
- 37:29Speaker 1: There's no benefit to a child.
- 37:31Speaker 2: To involve a child, yeah. It's not like that child
- 37:34Speaker 2: didn't have a chance. They probably got adopted by another
- 37:36Speaker 2: family that's in a better place, you know?
- 37:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I know you can beat yourself up about it,
- 37:41Speaker 1: but I think you're going to look back at this
- 37:43Speaker 1: one day and go, I'm glad I did that. She'll
- 37:45Speaker 1: be in a better situation in different circumstances.
- 37:48Speaker 2: She's just not on the other side yet like he is.
- 37:50Speaker 2: When she is, I think none of this will hurt
- 37:55Speaker 2: like it does now.
- 37:56Speaker 5: Yeah. Well, I appreciate y'all's input on it.
- 37:59Speaker 1: No, I'm glad you confessed to us and you told
- 38:02Speaker 1: us what was going on. And good luck with everything.
- 38:04Speaker 1: And don't beat yourself up. And let us know if
- 38:06Speaker 1: things change or if something happens in the future. Keep
- 38:08Speaker 1: us up to date on what's happening.
- 38:10Speaker 5: I will, for sure. Hopefully I'll have some good news
- 38:13Speaker 5: to report. Yes, I hope so.
- 38:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 38:16Speaker 1: That's a tough one.
- 38:17Speaker 6: That is.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Thank you so much for calling. Dirty Little Secret. Wow.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I mean, what do you think? Did she do the
- 38:22Speaker 1: right thing? All right.
- 38:26Speaker 6: It's time for Candace Court.
- 38:28Speaker 2: It gets settled here with Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 38:32Speaker 1: All rise for the Honorable Judge Candace Lopez. Here she
- 38:35Speaker 1: is as she approaches the bench. She is very serious.
- 38:37Speaker 1: She's got her gavel. She means business. It's Mix 102.9. Candice,
- 38:42Speaker 1: are you ready?
- 38:43Speaker 2: Ready.
- 38:43Speaker 6: Okay.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Candice Gordon, if you've got a problem, at Candice on
- 38:45Speaker 1: air on Instagram, at Candice on air. I need some help, guys.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Please tell me if I broke some kind of rule
- 38:51Speaker 1: because me and my friend are going back and forth
- 38:53Speaker 1: on this. So he kind of had a thing for
- 38:56Speaker 1: this woman a while back. His kid and her kid
- 38:59Speaker 1: played baseball together for one season, and I guess he
- 39:02Speaker 1: tried to hit on her, and he got rejected. Well,
- 39:06Speaker 1: I recently ran into her at the gym, and we
- 39:08Speaker 1: started talking. And she threw out the idea of us
- 39:12Speaker 1: grabbing a drink sometime. So I'm torn on if I
- 39:16Speaker 1: want to meet up with her or not. She basically
- 39:19Speaker 1: friend-zoned him, and I'm not the one who initiated this.
- 39:23Speaker 1: She is. Would it be wrong to have drinks with her?
- 39:27Speaker 1: I kind of feel bad, but also confused. guys have
- 39:30Speaker 1: done much worse than this okay true that is true
- 39:38Speaker 1: so to summarize it sounds like All right. So he
- 39:43Speaker 1: might go out with this girl that his friend had
- 39:44Speaker 1: a crush on, you know, some baseball mom. Hopefully these
- 39:48Speaker 1: people are all single.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I hope so.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Well, let's not go there. They are. Let's just imagine
- 39:53Speaker 1: in a perfect world, you know, non crazy world.
- 39:56Speaker 5: Right.
- 39:57Speaker 1: And he hit on her and he got rejected. Now,
- 40:00Speaker 1: friend meets her at a bar and she wants to
- 40:02Speaker 1: go out. Oh, what do you do, Candace?
- 40:05Speaker 2: Oh, I mean, if you guys weren't in a real
- 40:07Speaker 2: relationship or, like, had any, you didn't exchange numbers, there
- 40:11Speaker 2: was no, nothing going on between the two, I mean,
- 40:13Speaker 2: why wouldn't you just have drinks with her, right? His
- 40:16Speaker 2: friend just kind of knew her.
- 40:17Speaker 6: Ooh.
- 40:18Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 40:19Speaker 6: Ooh.
- 40:20Speaker 2: No? Why?
- 40:22Speaker 1: See, you don't know. Bro code.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Teach me about bro code.
- 40:27Speaker 1: You should not do that, girl. This would be violating
- 40:31Speaker 1: bro code.
- 40:31Speaker 2: If he just casually hit on her and got rejected?
- 40:35Speaker 2: It's not like he asked her out, or did he
- 40:37Speaker 2: ask her out?
- 40:38Speaker 1: Yeah, he did ask her out, he said, right? Yeah,
- 40:40Speaker 1: I mean, he hit on her and got rejected, I'm assuming. Okay, see,
- 40:43Speaker 1: I just.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Thought that he was trying to be flirty with her,
- 40:45Speaker 2: and she wasn't having it, and she.
- 40:47Speaker 1: And listen, there is a very vague bro code, and
- 40:51Speaker 1: that vague bro code, at least in my world, is once...
- 40:54Speaker 1: someone has had interest in one of your, you know,
- 40:56Speaker 1: your friends have had interest in a woman, maybe in
- 40:59Speaker 1: your circle.
- 41:00Speaker 2: She's off limits forever.
- 41:01Speaker 7: She is off limits forever. She does not exist. It
- 41:03Speaker 7: don't matter if it's five or 10 years, you still
- 41:06Speaker 7: can't holler at her.
- 41:07Speaker 2: It is.
- 41:07Speaker 1: It is kind of maybe ridiculous, but in bro code,
- 41:11Speaker 1: I mean, yeah.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Like in high school or college or something like that
- 41:14Speaker 2: seems to make sense. But like in adult life, is
- 41:17Speaker 2: that still the same?
- 41:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:19Speaker 1: I think it carries over.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 41:21Speaker 1: For example, a poo was interested in a girl. And
- 41:24Speaker 1: he hit on that girl and he's like, man, oh,
- 41:26Speaker 1: that sucks. Cause I was. I was kind of feeling her, but,
- 41:29Speaker 1: you know, she's not feeling me back. And then I
- 41:32Speaker 1: see her at a bar. I don't even talk to her. Nope.
- 41:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:36Speaker 1: I might say hi.
- 41:36Speaker 2: What if she talks to you? That's what happened here, right?
- 41:39Speaker 6: Well, yeah.
- 41:39Speaker 2: You didn't do this. She's the one that said, hey,
- 41:41Speaker 2: we should grab a drink sometime.
- 41:42Speaker 1: But I'm going to be like, yeah, I don't know.
- 41:45Speaker 1: I can't do that. I mean, I might be real honest.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I can't do that. Pooh liked you. Pooh liked you first.
- 41:49Speaker 2: You're going to out him like that?
- 41:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Really?
- 41:52Speaker 1: Absolutely. I'll do the same thing. I keep it short
- 41:54Speaker 1: and simple.
- 41:55Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Bye.
- 41:56Speaker 1: I can't do it.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Wow, really?
- 41:58Speaker 1: It's kind of weird. Yeah, you just can't do that.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Doesn't girls have girl code like that?
- 42:02Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, but it seems like, you know, this
- 42:05Speaker 2: is just like such a casual, like you hit on
- 42:08Speaker 2: someone and they were like kind of whatever about it.
- 42:10Speaker 2: It just seems like, ah, she wasn't feeling me, whatever.
- 42:12Speaker 1: You definitely wouldn't do this.
- 42:13Speaker 2: If you actually dated and exchanged numbers and things like that,
- 42:16Speaker 2: absolutely not.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Right. If you dated, that's one thing. But I know
- 42:19Speaker 1: a lot of people, I know friends who date friends'
- 42:21Speaker 1: ex and it's weird to me. It's just, I don't
- 42:24Speaker 1: get it. I don't understand it. You're not a real
- 42:26Speaker 1: friend if you do that to me. You're definitely not
- 42:28Speaker 1: a close friend. Right. You're not a friend at all
- 42:30Speaker 1: if you do that. You just can't do that. That
- 42:32Speaker 1: crosses the line. Some people were called before and they
- 42:35Speaker 1: were like, I live in a small town though.
- 42:37Speaker 6: Right.
- 42:37Speaker 1: I live in a small town and there's not many
- 42:39Speaker 1: people to date. Don't marry.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Yeah, there's not a lot of options.
- 42:42Speaker 7: Go to the next town. There's other towns. Drive 30 minutes,
- 42:46Speaker 7: 40 minutes away.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but is there someone that you're attracted to in
- 42:49Speaker 2: that other town?
- 42:50Speaker 1: You're going to have to find one.
- 42:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Well, wouldn't you? So if like, let's say one of
- 42:56Speaker 1: your friends, name one of your friends. You got friends.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got friends. I'm just trying to think of
- 43:00Speaker 2: one who's single at this point. OK, my friend Shauna.
- 43:02Speaker 1: So your friend Shauna, you know, is telling you about
- 43:04Speaker 1: this guy. She really likes this man. And she's like, oh, yeah,
- 43:07Speaker 1: one of the baseball dads is super hot.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:09Speaker 1: I asked him out for drinks, but, you know, he's
- 43:11Speaker 1: he kind of blew me off.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:13Speaker 1: And you're like, yeah, okay. And then, you know, this
- 43:16Speaker 1: guy's out and you're single and he asked you out.
- 43:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 43:19Speaker 2: And I'm single?
- 43:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:21Speaker 2: I mean, I'd probably be like, well, what's up? What's
- 43:23Speaker 2: up with the guy? I don't know. Oh, you can't
- 43:26Speaker 2: do that.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 43:27Speaker 6: Wow.
- 43:28Speaker 7: Oh.
- 43:28Speaker 5: So.
- 43:30Speaker 1: What about shauna what about shauna.
- 43:32Speaker 2: But she she's the type of person that would be
- 43:34Speaker 2: like she thinks all these dudes are hot so it's
- 43:36Speaker 2: like whatever.
- 43:37Speaker 1: You know what i mean yeah until it's the dude
- 43:39Speaker 1: that you're dating yeah.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Yeah it's hard for me to even like process being
- 43:44Speaker 2: single and dealing with this so you.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Better process it this is a make-believe world.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Yeah i know i'm in it yeah i mean i'd
- 43:50Speaker 2: i'd have to ask her first okay i would have
- 43:52Speaker 2: to ask oh you would ask her first yeah Okay.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Definitely would.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Now, Candace, in this case, do you think this guy
- 43:58Speaker 1: should go out with this girl, or what do you think?
- 44:00Speaker 1: It's Candace's court. It's not our court. You know where
- 44:03Speaker 1: we stand.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, I would say give it a chance.
- 44:06Speaker 2: She's the one that came up to you. Now, you
- 44:08Speaker 2: guys are teaching me about bro code, and I don't
- 44:11Speaker 2: want to go against that. So, look.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Oh, wow. You're signed with us now?
- 44:15Speaker 2: I think he's guilty of being a thirsty Theo.
- 44:17Speaker 6: Whoa!
- 44:20Speaker 2: I accept your code.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Okay, thank you.
- 44:22Speaker 2: I'm going to put it into law.
- 44:24Speaker 1: For honoring the bro code. Yeah, you have to. He
- 44:27Speaker 1: is guilty of being a... He's a thirsty Theo. 102.9.
- 44:31Speaker 1: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 44:34Speaker 1: Kid in the morning.
- 44:35Speaker 6: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Let's give away some gas, too.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Coming up, I'm excited for this because, well, you've got
- 44:41Speaker 1: to say Mix 102.9. Great Gremlin gas gift card giveaway
- 44:44Speaker 1: five times fast. You do it without messing up, and
- 44:47Speaker 1: the jackpot right now is up to $ 400. If you
- 44:50Speaker 1: mess up, it's going to go up.
- 44:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 44:52Speaker 1: The next person might win even more gas. I mean,
- 44:54Speaker 1: it could go up to $ 3, 000. You don't know what's
- 44:56Speaker 1: going to happen, Ken. It's going to get crazy. What
- 44:58Speaker 1: is going on?
- 44:58Speaker 2: Well, Arlington police say their major highway crackdown over Labor
- 45:02Speaker 2: Day weekend ended in nearly 50 arrests and over 350
- 45:04Speaker 2: traffic stops. So this was something they were calling Operation Shield.
- 45:10Speaker 2: The goal was to target impaired and aggressive drivers. They
- 45:14Speaker 2: say they stopped more than 19 drivers for going more
- 45:17Speaker 2: than 100 miles per hour during this operation. And then
- 45:20Speaker 2: the highest recorded speed, 112 miles per hour in the
- 45:24Speaker 2: city of Arlington.
- 45:25Speaker 1: That is insane.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Have you ever been 100? You know what? I'm scared
- 45:28Speaker 1: to ask Candace that.
- 45:29Speaker 6: No.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Because I bet she has.
- 45:30Speaker 6: No.
- 45:31Speaker 1: I bet you've been over 100 on the tollway. No,
- 45:33Speaker 1: I haven't. I've seen you drive on the tollway. It
- 45:35Speaker 1: is crazy.
- 45:36Speaker 2: I'm a good driver.
- 45:38Speaker 1: It's F1.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm a good driver. I'm a safe driver.
- 45:43Speaker 2: I'm a defensive driver. I don't know.
- 45:45Speaker 1: If you're speeding, some would argue that is not a
- 45:47Speaker 1: safe driver.
- 45:48Speaker 2: I'm not speeding. I'm not going 100 miles per hour.
- 45:51Speaker 6: Okay.
- 45:51Speaker 2: I'm going with the pace of traffic. I'm setting the pace.
- 45:54Speaker 1: So 100 miles an hour. You're the pace car.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Exactly. Guys, Apple officially unveiled its first ever foldable iPhone yesterday.
- 46:03Speaker 2: It's called the iPhone Duo. It opens from a 5.4
- 46:07Speaker 2: inch screen to 7.6 inch inner screen. So it's designed
- 46:11Speaker 2: to look and feel like an iPad. I was watching
- 46:14Speaker 2: this unveiling yesterday, looking at this thing like, I don't
- 46:19Speaker 2: think I need it, which is a good feeling. I
- 46:21Speaker 2: don't know.
- 46:21Speaker 1: You say that, but then if I see somebody else
- 46:24Speaker 1: with it, I'm like, maybe I do need that.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Well, I mean, yeah, there's a chance that could happen.
- 46:28Speaker 2: They announced it in two colors, star white and dark sky.
- 46:32Speaker 2: It's going to be available for pre-order. Starting October 16th,
- 46:35Speaker 2: it's priced at $ 19. 99, which is a good reason for
- 46:38Speaker 2: me to not really think I need it.
- 46:40Speaker 1: See, that's another problem is, you know, we don't even
- 46:42Speaker 1: know the prices of phones anymore because they roll them
- 46:45Speaker 1: into your plans.
- 46:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Where you really just, you pay for it and you're like,
- 46:49Speaker 1: I think I'm making payments on this.
- 46:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 46:51Speaker 1: When is it paid off? Am I upside down on
- 46:53Speaker 1: my phone payment?
- 46:54Speaker 2: I mean, they're making it easier and easier to upgrade
- 46:56Speaker 2: these days.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Yeah, because you're getting charged for it.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:00Speaker 1: You know what I mean? You are getting charged. It's
- 47:02Speaker 1: just crazy to me.
- 47:03Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like I'm maturing in my tech
- 47:05Speaker 2: life because when I watch these things and I'm like,
- 47:07Speaker 2: I'm good without that. I don't need that option.
- 47:10Speaker 1: That's how we know we're getting older.
- 47:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:12Speaker 6: No, you're right.
- 47:12Speaker 1: I'm fine with my iPhone 10. It works just great.
- 47:15Speaker 2: I know.
- 47:16Speaker 1: We were younger, though. We had to go. Oh, we
- 47:19Speaker 1: had to get the newest of the new. Oh, yeah.
- 47:20Speaker 2: Every time.
- 47:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 47:21Speaker 2: These phones, by the way, are going to start shipping
- 47:23Speaker 2: October 23rd, which is new, too, because usually it's like
- 47:26Speaker 2: they announce it throughout the next week. But there you go. Guys,
- 47:30Speaker 2: heads up. The Jonas Brothers will be the halftime performers
- 47:32Speaker 2: tonight at the 49ers Rams game. The game is being
- 47:36Speaker 2: played in Australia. It's going to be shown exclusively online.
- 47:39Speaker 2: On Netflix, which over in Australia tonight will be tomorrow morning.
- 47:45Speaker 2: So good for them for being like, hey, you guys
- 47:47Speaker 2: do whatever kind of schedule you want.
- 47:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's weird. NFL game at 1030 in the morning.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Can you imagine? That sounds kind of fun, though.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Do they even care in Australia about the NFL?
- 47:57Speaker 2: That's a good question.
- 47:57Speaker 1: I always wonder when they do these games in Brazil.
- 48:00Speaker 1: But people show up and go crazy.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, for sure. People would show up if
- 48:04Speaker 2: it was the Cowboys, for sure.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. True.
- 48:07Speaker 2: You know, I mean, I think there's a difference.
- 48:09Speaker 1: I wanted to go see the Cowboys in London. Weren't
- 48:11Speaker 1: they in London not too long ago?
- 48:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so.
- 48:13Speaker 1: I wanted to go so bad.
- 48:15Speaker 2: See, that would have been fun.
- 48:16Speaker 1: That would have been so much fun because it's our year.
- 48:20Speaker 2: It is our year. You can maybe watch us on
- 48:22Speaker 2: one of the streamers this season. I don't know where
- 48:24Speaker 2: we're going to end up. Uh, but yeah, that game
- 48:26Speaker 2: tonight exclusively on Netflix. So just a heads up. And
- 48:29Speaker 2: before I let you guys go, it looks like people
- 48:31Speaker 2: are really, really ready for Miley Cyrus. More than 1.5
- 48:35Speaker 2: million fans just registered for presale tickets for her show.
- 48:39Speaker 2: She's going to do two shows at the Hollywood bowl
- 48:41Speaker 2: and the capacity of that venue is 18,000. Um, so yeah,
- 48:44Speaker 2: it sounds.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Like they do registered for tickets.
- 48:49Speaker 2: You have to register for presale to get invited to
- 48:52Speaker 2: buy a ticket.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Oh, my God. What is happening?
- 48:56Speaker 2: I don't know. People are ready for her. I guess,
- 48:58Speaker 2: you know, people are saying she could be the Super
- 49:01Speaker 2: Bowl halftime performer as well. And it sounds like if
- 49:03Speaker 2: this many people are looking forward to seeing her perform live,
- 49:06Speaker 2: maybe she could be going.
- 49:07Speaker 1: To move venues.
- 49:08Speaker 2: You think so?
- 49:09Speaker 1: They're going to have to. I mean, yeah, if she
- 49:10Speaker 1: does a tour. I mean, I've always seen her in arenas,
- 49:13Speaker 1: but could she do AT & T Stadium?
- 49:16Speaker 2: That's a good question. I don't know.
- 49:17Speaker 1: 1.5 million people registered for an 18,000 seat capacity venue.
- 49:23Speaker 2: She's only doing two shows there as of now. I mean,
- 49:26Speaker 2: maybe she's going to have a nationwide tour at some point.
- 49:30Speaker 2: Maybe this is just a good feeler for that if
- 49:31Speaker 2: she could do it.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Put her at the Sphere in Vegas.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:34Speaker 1: I still haven't seen the show there.
- 49:36Speaker 2: Yeah, no, me neither.
- 49:37Speaker 1: I want to see one.
- 49:37Speaker 2: I'm not going to see the Backstreet Boys at some point.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I refuse to pay thousands of dollars for a ticket.
- 49:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 49:42Speaker 1: I mean, why?
- 49:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I couldn't see me doing it. I'd hop a
- 49:46Speaker 2: flight somewhere.
- 49:46Speaker 1: But if it was Justin Timberlake, you would.
- 49:48Speaker 2: I might. If it was NSYNC, all together.
- 49:50Speaker 1: NSYNC reunion?
- 49:51Speaker 2: Okay. That I can see me doing.
- 49:53Speaker 1: How much would you pay? Two grand at the Sphere?
- 49:55Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm going to say.
- 49:57Speaker 6: Two grand?
- 49:57Speaker 2: No, I'm genuinely not paying two grand to see a concert.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Tupac would have to come back to life for me
- 50:02Speaker 1: to pay $ 2, 000. I can personally invite you. And then
- 50:04Speaker 1: I don't even know if I'd pay you. I'd be like,
- 50:06Speaker 1: where are they at? What section? We'll be waiting on.
- 50:09Speaker 2: That tour announcement. I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas
- 50:11Speaker 2: Top Stories.
- 50:12Speaker 1: I know you're going to get some calls on this one.
- 50:15Speaker 1: It's Mix 102.9.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Oh, that's a hot take.
- 50:18Speaker 6: Let us know what you think.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Here's today's hot take.
- 50:21Speaker 1: By the way, our gas giveaway jackpot is now up
- 50:24Speaker 1: to $ 500. $ 500 in free gas. That'd be nice.
- 50:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:28Speaker 6: Right?
- 50:29Speaker 1: That's like two tanks. In today's world. No, it's more
- 50:33Speaker 1: than that.
- 50:33Speaker 2: For real.
- 50:34Speaker 1: You got to say Mix 102.9 Great Gremlin Gas Gift
- 50:37Speaker 1: Card Giveaway five times fast. We'll do it again at 930.
- 50:41Speaker 1: It's Billy the Kid, Candace Lopez, producer Pooh. Now, hot
- 50:43Speaker 1: ticket today, we were talking about this story that went
- 50:45Speaker 1: viral on TikTok. This woman, Kayla, was in line for lunch,
- 50:48Speaker 1: and she's waiting, and these two guys in front of
- 50:50Speaker 1: her are wearing company shirts with their names on it,
- 50:53Speaker 1: and they're bad-mouthing their female manager, saying that, oh, well,
- 50:57Speaker 1: she'd be so much better if it was a male
- 51:00Speaker 1: manager because females are too emotional, they're too problematic, and
- 51:05Speaker 1: they're just dogging on this woman. And Kayla goes back
- 51:09Speaker 1: home and she finds their LinkedIn. She finds the company.
- 51:13Speaker 1: She finds the HR director. She also finds the woman
- 51:17Speaker 1: that these two guys are actually talking about. And she's like,
- 51:21Speaker 1: I have something drafted up. I'm wondering if I should
- 51:23Speaker 1: fire it off. Should she say something? Carmen, what do
- 51:26Speaker 1: you think?
- 51:27Speaker 3: Yes. Turn them in.
- 51:28Speaker 7: I mean, it won't bother me so.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Much, but if you're out there.
- 51:34Speaker 5: saying a whole bunch of stuff that I'm not liking
- 51:37Speaker 5: and I don't like what I'm.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Hearing and you got the company logo, your name and
- 51:40Speaker 1: everything else.
- 51:40Speaker 5: You need to be reported because you've been an idiot.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Yeah, the idiot police.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Idiot police. Yeah, we should have idiot police. I wish
- 51:48Speaker 1: we did have idiot police to patrol everywhere. That would
- 51:52Speaker 1: be great.
- 51:52Speaker 7: If you're out there with everything, you're practically wearing the
- 51:55Speaker 7: company on you.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Yeah. See, I know Carmen, though.
- 51:58Speaker 2: I know you.
- 51:59Speaker 1: You would have probably said something to them right then
- 52:01Speaker 1: and there.
- 52:01Speaker 4: Oh, of course.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't even think they would have said that
- 52:04Speaker 1: if Carmen was around. They're not that dumb. They are
- 52:10Speaker 1: not that stupid. Carmen, well, good to hear from you.
- 52:13Speaker 1: How's everything? You doing good? Good to hear you.
- 52:15Speaker 5: Yes, good. Just working crazy hours.
- 52:17Speaker 2: That's it.
- 52:17Speaker 1: All right. Well, don't work too hard, okay? And you
- 52:19Speaker 1: take care of yourself. Good to hear from you. Love
- 52:22Speaker 1: you guys. Love you more.
- 52:23Speaker 5: Love you.
- 52:23Speaker 3: Bye.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Okay, what's up, Jose?
- 52:25Speaker 2: How are you?
- 52:25Speaker 5: Good, and yourself?
- 52:26Speaker 1: Good, thank you. Now, from a man's perspective, what do
- 52:29Speaker 1: you think about this? I think she should.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Why?
- 52:32Speaker 4: Because I think that, yes, Kenna is right.
- 52:35Speaker 5: Our kids are listening.
- 52:36Speaker 4: And seeing things around, you know, that it puts the
- 52:39Speaker 4: company out there. And then what if one day they
- 52:42Speaker 4: want to work with them, you know? Like, no, I
- 52:44Speaker 4: don't want my kid to be working with them. They
- 52:46Speaker 4: talk smack about each other.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Why is this issue with that?
- 52:48Speaker 1: So you wouldn't be mad? Turn them in and make
- 52:50Speaker 1: sure that the company knows how they're acting in public
- 52:53Speaker 1: and what they're saying. I think you're right because you
- 52:56Speaker 1: can't let these things slide in today's world. We think
- 52:59Speaker 1: we make no difference. What does it matter if I
- 53:01Speaker 1: say something? Then if everybody does that, you're just like, well,
- 53:04Speaker 1: then nothing changes. And they just keep doing that at
- 53:06Speaker 1: the Chipotle line. They just talk smack. Jose, thank you
- 53:10Speaker 1: so much, man. I appreciate you calling.
- 53:12Speaker 2: No, thank you. God bless y'all.
- 53:14Speaker 5: Thank you so much, man.
- 53:15Speaker 1: You too. Kelsey, what's up, Kelsey? How are you? Hey, good.
- 53:18Speaker 3: How are you?
- 53:19Speaker 1: Good. What do you think?
- 53:20Speaker 2: I was going to say, she sounds a lot like
- 53:22Speaker 2: a Karen.
- 53:23Speaker 5: She could turn around and just talk to them and
- 53:25Speaker 5: address the situation.
- 53:27Speaker 1: Okay.
- 53:27Speaker 2: All right.
- 53:28Speaker 1: So thank you, Kelsey.
- 53:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 53:30Speaker 1: Just turn around and say something.
- 53:31Speaker 2: That's one option.
- 53:32Speaker 1: Just turn around. Here's my deal is yes. They're, they're
- 53:36Speaker 1: talking about this female in a very derogatory way. A
- 53:39Speaker 1: lot of people say, well, I don't know if I'd
- 53:40Speaker 1: say some, would you say something if they were being racist?
- 53:43Speaker 2: That's a good question. Yeah, I would.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Yeah. Because you're representing the company. If they didn't have
- 53:48Speaker 1: the t-shirts on, it's like, you're just too bad people.
- 53:50Speaker 6: Right.
- 53:51Speaker 1: But now you're representing the company. So I'm sorry, but
- 53:54Speaker 1: you're representing an entire brand. And that's just bad business.
- 53:56Speaker 2: No, it is for sure.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Nothing's going to change if you don't say something.
- 54:00Speaker 3: The new Mix 102.9.
- 54:02Speaker 1: This is top stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 54:04Speaker 1: Kid in the morning.
- 54:05Speaker 6: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 54:07Speaker 3: Hi, Candace Lopez.
- 54:09Speaker 1: What is going on?
- 54:10Speaker 2: Well, we do have a small chance for rain this
- 54:12Speaker 2: afternoon and this evening, guys, really to the northwest of
- 54:15Speaker 2: the Metroplex. But scattered rain and a few storms are possible.
- 54:18Speaker 2: They're saying like I-20 and north. You have the best chance.
- 54:22Speaker 1: I-20, north of I-20, that's pretty much everything.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Good luck.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it ain't happening. I don't even see a cloud
- 54:27Speaker 1: out there.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Well, I can't see the blinds are down, but no,
- 54:30Speaker 2: I don't see it yet. But later this afternoon, there
- 54:32Speaker 2: is some rain moving into the area. It's a 20% chance.
- 54:36Speaker 1: I'm just over the heat. I just can't wait until
- 54:39Speaker 1: we at least get to the 80s. I mean, before
- 54:41Speaker 1: you know it, I feel like it's like this, and
- 54:43Speaker 1: then all of a sudden it just stops. changes one day.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. No fall, just winter.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. I mean, I'll take it at this point.
- 54:50Speaker 2: No, definitely. Guys, the Dallas Mavericks have started the zoning
- 54:54Speaker 2: change process for building a new arena and entertainment district
- 54:57Speaker 2: in far north Dallas. This, of course, is the old
- 55:00Speaker 2: Valley View Mall site off Preston and 635. So this
- 55:02Speaker 2: would cover 104 acres in that area. The goal is
- 55:07Speaker 2: to move to the new arena by 2031 when their
- 55:10Speaker 2: lease at the double AC ends. So, yeah, moving forward.
- 55:13Speaker 1: I know.
- 55:13Speaker 2: New updates.
- 55:14Speaker 1: I know you're still mad about it.
- 55:15Speaker 2: I am.
- 55:17Speaker 1: They're still in Dallas.
- 55:18Speaker 6: I know. I know.
- 55:18Speaker 2: I just like going downtown. I like going downtown for
- 55:21Speaker 2: these things. I like the lights. I like the buildings.
- 55:23Speaker 2: I like the vibe.
- 55:24Speaker 1: There's lights over here by Valley View. Valley View Mavs
- 55:27Speaker 1: are going to be incredible. Yeah, they are. We're going
- 55:30Speaker 1: to be able to walk there, Candace. It's so close
- 55:31Speaker 1: to our studio. We could literally walk to Mavs.
- 55:33Speaker 2: Yeah, if the game started at 10, that'd be perfect.
- 55:37Speaker 1: They don't know you're being a curmudgeon.
- 55:39Speaker 2: I am.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Cause I don't want to.
- 55:40Speaker 2: Go home and they have to drive all the way
- 55:41Speaker 2: back to North Dallas and pretty much where I came
- 55:43Speaker 2: from for work.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Okay.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Well, that's just my take.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Then just, we won't go to the mass games.
- 55:48Speaker 2: No, we got to go to the mass.
- 55:49Speaker 1: So you can't win.
- 55:50Speaker 6: I know.
- 55:51Speaker 2: I know. Guys, here's some food news for you this morning.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Wingsop is celebrating football season starting with their new wing pass.
- 55:59Speaker 2: So this is a limited edition subscription where you'll get
- 56:03Speaker 2: 18 consecutive weeks of watch party bundles for a one-time
- 56:07Speaker 2: price of $ 27.
- 56:07Speaker 1: 99.
- 56:08Speaker 2: So this is kind of like the Olive Garden. You know,
- 56:11Speaker 2: they do that pass that they do. They make 100 available.
- 56:15Speaker 2: 100 chances to get one of these. They're going to
- 56:18Speaker 2: go on sale at noon today. So this is 20 wings.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Fries and Ranch, you get a digital voucher that comes
- 56:24Speaker 2: with your app every Sunday morning during the NFL regular season.
- 56:28Speaker 2: And then you can have, you know, wings for every game.
- 56:31Speaker 1: Dang, that's 18 orders of 20 wings with fries and
- 56:35Speaker 1: a drink for $ 27.
- 56:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 56:37Speaker 1: I would take that.
- 56:38Speaker 2: Well, you got to be online at noon today on
- 56:40Speaker 2: Wingstop's website because it's probably going to sell out.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Am I going to do all that?
- 56:44Speaker 2: No, you're not. But someone will. People who love wings
- 56:47Speaker 2: and Wingstop will.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Well, I do love wings and I love Wingstop, but
- 56:49Speaker 1: I almost got into the line to try to get
- 56:52Speaker 1: the Olive Garden pass.
- 56:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:53Speaker 1: But they do this because it's just great marketing. Everybody
- 56:56Speaker 1: talks about it, but only 100 people get it.
- 56:58Speaker 6: It is.
- 56:59Speaker 1: And then how many of the 100 people who actually
- 57:01Speaker 1: get it are going to use 18 weeks of it?
- 57:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 57:04Speaker 1: They always make out and make the money and get
- 57:07Speaker 1: their money's worth out of it. Yeah.
- 57:08Speaker 2: No, it's a smart deal for sure. But just a
- 57:10Speaker 2: heads up, that's happening at noon today. And then we
- 57:13Speaker 2: have this big tour announcement. Earlier this morning, Harry Styles
- 57:16Speaker 2: coming to the Metroplex. He just announced more tour dates
- 57:19Speaker 2: for his Together Together tour. So he is going to
- 57:22Speaker 2: be here April 9th and 10th at AT & T Stadium.
- 57:26Speaker 2: You can actually win these tickets before they go on sale.
- 57:29Speaker 2: We just launched a contest. Big giveaway on Instagram at
- 57:32Speaker 2: Mix 1029 FM. So just look in the caption. You'll
- 57:35Speaker 2: see how to enter. It's super easy.
- 57:37Speaker 1: It is.
- 57:38Speaker 2: You know, people were talking about Harry's social media post yesterday.
- 57:41Speaker 2: It said, I don't know what comes next for me,
- 57:43Speaker 2: but I know I'm excited to find out. Being an
- 57:45Speaker 2: artist is the only life I've ever really known. Not
- 57:49Speaker 2: sure what that means, but people are speculating maybe he's
- 57:52Speaker 2: about to go off and get married, focus on a
- 57:54Speaker 2: family and things like that, or maybe he's retiring.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Is he engaged?
- 57:58Speaker 2: They are engaged.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Yeah, well, of course he's going to get married then,
- 58:00Speaker 1: I guess, right?
- 58:01Speaker 2: But before he would do anything musically again.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Well, good for him. You know what he should. He's
- 58:06Speaker 1: been working since he was a kid.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Non-stop. He maybe should take some time off and just
- 58:10Speaker 1: enjoy life. But I like that guy.
- 58:12Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I do, too. I've interacted with him multiple times.
- 58:16Speaker 2: Always the same consistent, like, friendly, down-to-earth guy.
- 58:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I've interviewed him a couple times, and you know
- 58:21Speaker 1: what I was shocked by?
- 58:22Speaker 5: What?
- 58:22Speaker 1: Is he's so humble, but he also loves McDonald's breakfast.
- 58:25Speaker 2: He does?
- 58:25Speaker 1: I'll never forget that.
- 58:26Speaker 2: I didn't know that.
- 58:27Speaker 1: I was interviewing him one time, and he's like, I'm like,
- 58:29Speaker 1: what do you like? You know, you come to America,
- 58:30Speaker 1: what's the first thing you got to do? He's like,
- 58:31Speaker 1: I love McDonald's breakfast. I'm like, he is one of us. Okay.
- 58:35Speaker 1: He's just a normal person. He like walks to shows.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Have you seen him walking to his shows lately?
- 58:39Speaker 2: In New York?
- 58:39Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 58:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:40Speaker 1: He's just walking across like the Brooklyn Bridge getting to
- 58:43Speaker 1: his shows.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:44Speaker 1: Just not even a car service, not a limo, nothing fancy.
- 58:46Speaker 1: He's walking to his own shows.
- 58:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 58:48Speaker 2: Good for him.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:49Speaker 2: Super chill.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Something I would do. Yeah.
- 58:51Speaker 2: Win those tickets online though, guys. I'm Candace Lopez. Those
- 58:54Speaker 2: are your Texas Top Stories.
- 58:56Speaker 3: 102.9 the new mix.
- 59:00Speaker 1: 102.9 ready to confess.
- 59:01Speaker 3: It's dirty little secret with billy the kid in the
- 59:04Speaker 3: morning on mix 102.9 brought to you by mint dentistry
- 59:07Speaker 3: okay confess.
- 59:07Speaker 1: It you want. Dirty Little Secret, 833-787-1029. Doesn't matter what
- 59:14Speaker 1: kind of secret it is. People call with all kinds
- 59:16Speaker 1: of secrets. You can set it up online, too. If
- 59:19Speaker 1: you want to DM me your secret and say, Hey, Billy,
- 59:21Speaker 1: I want to confess. At Billy on the radio on Instagram. Now,
- 59:24Speaker 1: you have one. What's going on?
- 59:27Speaker 5: Well, I have a secret involving my best friend, and
- 59:30Speaker 5: she's got a lot going on in her life right now,
- 59:32Speaker 5: and I'm just kind of struggling with if I did
- 59:35Speaker 5: the right thing or not.
- 59:36Speaker 1: Okay, what'd you do?
- 59:38Speaker 5: Well, she's been really struggling with the fact that she
- 59:42Speaker 5: isn't able to have children. Eventually, she and her husband,
- 59:46Speaker 5: they decided they wanted to adopt, but the problem was
- 59:49Speaker 5: her husband was just a complete a * * hole.
- 59:52Speaker 1: Oh, really? Her husband was? So he's not, he was
- 59:56Speaker 1: not the best guy.
- 59:58Speaker 5: Not at all. Like none of us ever approved of him. Really?
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: Right. I mean, but you would, you would never know
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: it meeting him. Like he's one of those guys, like
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: everybody in his little friend circle, everybody loves him and
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: you know, great career, great family, charming, all that. But
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: behind closed doors, like he's a completely different person. He's
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: a womanizer, verbally abusive to her and just their relationship
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: always been kind of on the verge of falling apart.
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: And she just genuinely, like, believed that adopting a baby
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: with him might bring them closer together.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: That's pretty common. I mean, not as far as adopting, but, like,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: if we have a kid, that'll fix things. In this case,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: if they adopt. So did they? Or how did it
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: go down?
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: They started the process of it. So, like, one day,
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: completely unexpectedly, I got a phone call from a woman
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: checking their references that they had to put down for
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: the adoption application. And at first I'm saying, you know,
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: all the things you expect. She's an amazing mother. She
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: would be an amazing mother. And then something inside me
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: just stopped. And I just remember thinking, like, I am
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: lying to this person right now. And it was just
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: killing me. And the woman was asking me whether I
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: believed a child should be placed inside this home. And
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: I just know what happens inside the house. And I
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: just broke down and I just had to tell her
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: the truth.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: You did.
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: I told her that my best friend would be an
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: incredible mother on her own, but I just did not
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: believe their marriage was really a healthy environment for a child.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Did you really? Okay.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. I mean. Wow. I respect that.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I do, too. That's your best friend, though.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Yeah, but.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but, poo, it's a child. Children need to be protected. Yeah.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: And you can't go into an environment that's toxic. And, yeah,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: so I could see why you would struggle with lying
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: about something so important. Yeah, I think anyone would.
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I was, you know, thinking about the
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: child first. And I was like, I can't just lie
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: and say everything's perfect. And so I just told her everything. Yeah,
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: and I just knew, like, the second I hung up,
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: I was like, oh, my goodness, I've probably completely destroyed
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: their chances. Sure enough, I did. That adoption didn't happen.
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: The application didn't get approved, and my best friend called
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: me just absolutely devastated. She was crying and asking if
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: the agency had contacted me. I straight up lied to
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: her and just told her, like, yes, they called. I
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: gave you guys an amazing reference. And I have no
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: idea what happened. This is the worst part. That was
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: almost two years ago.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: I've been hanging on to that for two years. And
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: where it's become really hard for me is they're divorced now.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Oh, they're done. Yeah.
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: Thank goodness. But yeah, their marriage just eventually fell apart.
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: And exactly like I was afraid it would. And her ex,
- 1:02:59Speaker 5: he just moved on right away. So fast. He's already remarried.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: And now him and his new wife are expecting a baby.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: No.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Oh, that's awful. That is going to mess with her
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: so bad. That is going to destroy. That's got to
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: be so tough on her. I can't even imagine.
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: It's awful. She's so destroyed about it. The one thing
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: she wanted more than anything in the world was to
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: have a baby. And now I'm sitting next to her
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: while she's crying and I'm comforting her, knowing that I'm
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: the person that stopped her from having that chance of
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: becoming a mother.
- 1:03:35Speaker 6: No.
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: And it just eats me alive every day.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: See, you're not, though. And maybe I did. You're not
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: the person who stopped her. Her relationship stopped her. He
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: stopped her.
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I obviously was trying to do the
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: right thing for the child, but, you know, obviously they
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: probably would have still gotten a divorce either way. I
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: know she would have been a great mom. I'll just
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: never know if I truly did the right thing.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Candace, what would you have done?
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think you did anything wrong. I mean,
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: she probably would have wanted the baby in a healthy marriage,
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: not on her own anyways. You know what I mean?
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: If this was her dream, I don't know her, but.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Not saying she couldn't have done it on her own.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I'm sure she could have.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and she still could.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: And she still could if she wanted to, but that
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: was not the situation. And that person who's a professional
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: asked you very specific questions.
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: For you to tell the truth, and you did just that,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: and they made the call, not you.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: It wasn't about her. It was about him.
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: Yeah, but she prompted it. For me, it's my best friend.
- 1:04:31Speaker 7: I don't think I would have done it. I wouldn't
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: have told on her.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Well, then you're doing a disservice to your best friend, too.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I think. Honestly, it wasn't best for her in that situation.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: It wasn't.
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: No.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: So you're just lying for a friend for no reason.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: There's no benefit to a child.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: To involve a child, yeah. It's not like that child
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: didn't have a chance. They probably got adopted by another
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: family that's in a better place, you know?
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I know you can beat yourself up about it,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: but I think you're going to look back at this
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: one day and go, I'm glad I did that. She'll
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: be in a better situation in different circumstances.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: She's just not on the other side yet like he is.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: When she is, I think none of this will hurt
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: like it does now.
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: Yeah. Well, I appreciate y'all's input on it.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: No, I'm glad you confessed to us and you told
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: us what was going on. And good luck with everything.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: And don't beat yourself up. And let us know if
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: things change or if something happens in the future. Keep
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: us up to date on what's happening.
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: I will, for sure. Hopefully I'll have some good news
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: to report. Yes, I hope so.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: There you go.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Yes, it's Mix 102.9, Ability Kid, Candice Lopez, Producer Pooh.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: We are out of here. We'll see you tomorrow. Tomorrow
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: is Friday. Let's go. We'll have the Wheel of Misfortune.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Will we have the Wheel of Misfortune?
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: I don't know. Should we flip a coin?
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Oh, see, I don't know. I mean, we said we're
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: going to do it, but we don't want every week
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: for poo to lose.
- 1:05:52Speaker 6: Oh, come on.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Exactly. So maybe we'll spin the wheel. We'll do trivia tomorrow.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: We have this gas giveaway we're doing. So another shot
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: to win with Zan at 4 o'clock. Candice, what do
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: you got going on today?
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: I think I'm going to check out Pop-Up Bagels. Have
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: you guys tried this yet?
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: No, what is it?
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: It went viral online. You know, they had the Jonas
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Brothers schmear, but it's like a big thing.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: That's right.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so my neighbor wants some, and she just had
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: a baby, so I'm like, I'm going to go pick
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: her up some Pop-Up Bagels.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: That's nice of you.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: What's the other bagel place that everybody talks about and
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: I've never had it? Is it Shug?
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: Suge, yes.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: That's it. Yeah, my sister goes there. Wait, that's the
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: bagel company you're talking about?
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: I'm talking about Pop-Up Bagels.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Oh, where's Pop-Up Bagels?
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: I think there's one in McKinney, one on Henderson.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: You're not going to McKinney. Oh, you're going to Uptown?
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Okay, cool.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Not the city of McKinney. Maybe there is one in McKinney.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Oh, it's on McKinney.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know, actually, now.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Candace has no idea where she's going. Pooh, what do
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: you got going on?
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: I'm ordering online.
- 1:06:43Speaker 7: I'm going to go check out this place, Luke's Locker,
- 1:06:46Speaker 7: because I'm going to get some running shoes. I'm trying
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: to get prepared for that.
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: Who's Luke?
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Who's Luke? I don't know who Luke is.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: You know Luke's locker.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Luke's locker.
- 1:06:53Speaker 7: It's a place where they measure your feet. Because I
- 1:06:56Speaker 7: got some bad wheels. I'll admit it. You're going to.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: Have feet shoes designed for you?
- 1:07:01Speaker 7: Yeah, well, they measure your feet and make sure you
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: get the right adjustment when you get these shoes.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: That's not the problem.
- 1:07:06Speaker 6: Wow.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: They'll have you run if you want.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: I love that Pooh's blaming his shoes.
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: I was talking to my sister and her friend about it.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Yeah. You think Luke's going to help them feed? They
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: were like, go to Luke's locker. I go, what is that?
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Where's Luke's locker?
- 1:07:20Speaker 7: Over there by SMU. You know, because my sister's a
- 1:07:23Speaker 7: SMU alum now.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: No, I know. So she knows all that.
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: All that bougie stuff. So she was like, go check
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: it out. They'll measure your feet and all this other stuff.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: And then they design a shoe for you? No, they don't.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Like a little lift inside your shoes. All you got
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: to do is try your shoes on and then run
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: up and down the aisle. Yeah, but I have like
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Air Max. I have bougie, you know. Shoes that are
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: not made for running, just for show.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: No, you're wearing lifestyle shoes.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm wearing, like, sneakerhead shoes. Oh, my God. I
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: need to wear actual run shoes. You're talking about you're
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: trying to get prepared for our walk to the fair.
- 1:07:52Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: So you're going to try to make it to the
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: state fair. When I walk to the fair, you're going
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: to try to make it. Last year, you made it
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: eight miles. 8.7. Let's get that right. 8.7. You didn't
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: make it the whole way this year. I think you
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: can do it. I just— I don't know. I don't
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: think it has anything to do with your shoes. Well,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: it does.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: But you got there at what time last year?
- 1:08:10Speaker 6: Me?
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Oh, it was like 7.30. Right. It was late. I mean,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: what are you trying to say? That it took me
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: a long time?
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: No, I'm just saying. You can get there, but you
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: got to get there in a fair amount of time.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: I did my best. I know. I'm saying poo. Oh, poo.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: If he's going to go the full amount, he's got
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: to keep up with you because you walk fast.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't want to slow you down this time.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: And I walk every night, so.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Yeah. To the fridge.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Well, you know what? I hope Luke treats you well.
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Have fun in his locker. Yeah. Okay. All I know
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: is I don't think it's the shoes.
- 1:08:47Speaker 6: Oh.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: You know what? Maybe you could see if they have Heelys. Oh, yeah.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: That's the only way you're making it.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: All right.
